A night of celebration turned into a scene of terror early Sunday morning as a mass shooting on Bloomington, Indiana’s popular Kirkwood Avenue left nine people injured. The violence broke out just after midnight during the university’s famed &#8220;Little 500&#8221; weekend, a period that typically draws tens of thousands of visitors to the area.
Billed as &#8220;The World&#8217;s Greatest College Weekend,&#8221; the Little 500 is the largest collegiate bike race in the United States. Founded in 1951, it has become a defining cultural event for Indiana University and the Bloomington community. Modeled after the Indianapolis 500, the race features 33 teams of four riders competing relay-style on a quarter-mile cinder track at Bill Armstrong Stadium.
To ensure a level playing field, all teams must use identical, single-speed &#8220;Little 500 bikes&#8221; provided by the IU Student Foundation (IUSF). These bikes have coaster brakes (no hand brakes) and no add-on accessories.
The race gained international fame through the 1979 Academy Award-winning film Breaking Away, starring Dennis Quaid (in his breakout role), Dennis Christopher, Daniel Stern, and Jackie Earle Haley, and which centers on a group of &#8220;Cutters&#8221; (local Bloomington residents) competing against fraternity teams.
<a href="https://www.ipm.org/news/2026-04-26/police-say-5-wounded-by-gunfire-on-kirkwood-avenue">According</a> to the Bloomington Police Department (BPD), officers were already stationed on the 400 block of East Kirkwood Avenue monitoring a large crowd when gunfire erupted at approximately 12:25 a.m. Witnesses described a festive atmosphere that disintegrated into &#8220;pure chaos&#8221; as dozens of shots sent revelers diving for cover and fleeing toward the Indiana University campus.
While the investigation is in its preliminary stages, witnesses reported that the violence appeared to stem from a physical altercation. One witness <a href="https://nypost.com/2026/04/26/us-news/indiana-university-mass-shooting-on-kirkwood-leaves-9-wounded/">recalled</a> seeing two women fighting in the street shortly before one of them reached toward her leg, produced a firearm, and began shooting into the crowd.
“I didn’t think too much of it at first,” the witness told local reporters. “I figured the police would get to it. But then I saw a girl … start firing. By then, I was already running the other way.”
Emergency responders moved quickly to treat the wounded. BPD <a href="https://www.wthr.com/article/news/crime/9-injured-following-shooting-in-bloomington-on-kirkwood-avenue-indiana/531-1c1fbf57-a3ff-4ad7-9c44-4fdcbb6b8b77">confirmed</a> that nine individuals were transported to local hospitals: six by ambulance, one in a police squad car, and two via personal vehicles. One victim was located at a nearby gas station on West 17th Street with injuries linked to the Kirkwood shooting. Authorities noted that it is not yet clear how many victims suffered direct gunshot wounds versus injuries caused by ricocheting bullet fragments.
Indiana University issued several &#8220;IU Notify&#8221; alerts throughout the night, urging students to shelter in place and lock their doors. Although the shooting occurred just one block from campus, university officials confirmed that no shots were fired on IU property.
The shooting marks the second mass casualty event near a Big 10 campus in just eight days, following a shooting near the University of Iowa last week that left five wounded.
As of Sunday morning, no suspects are in custody. The Bloomington Police Department, assisted by the Indiana State Police and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, utilized drones and helicopters to document the scene and search for the shooter.

Florida opened a criminal investigation into OpenAI one year after a gunman killed two people at Florida State University in an attack he planned with &#8220;significant advice&#8221; from OpenAI&#8217;s artificial intelligence tool ChatGPT, the state&#8217;s Attorney General James Uthmeier announced on Tuesday.
The gunman, whom The Daily Wire will not name, relied on ChatGPT to get information on firearms and when the most people would be present at Florida State&#8217;s student union, where he opened fire on April 17, 2025, The New York Times <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2026/04/21/us/florida-criminal-investigation-openai-chatgpt-fsu-shooting.html">reported</a>. The attacker also asked ChatGPT if a specific gun would be effective at short range, according to Uthmeier.
“If this were a person on the other end of the screen, we would be charging them with murder,” the Florida attorney general said. “We cannot have AI bots that are advising people on how to kill others.”
The criminal investigation will now run alongside a civil investigation into ChatGPT that the Florida attorney general opened earlier this month.
The 20-year-old gunman killed two people and wounded six others in the shooting. He was also a student at Florida State and is the stepson of a sheriff&#8217;s deputy in Leon County, Florida, which includes Tallahassee. The gunman, who survived a serious gunshot wound from responding officers, has been charged with multiple counts of murder and attempted murder.
The gunman appeared to be intrigued by whether a mass shooting at Florida State would gain nationwide attention and asked ChatGPT how the country would react to an attack on the campus, according to the Times.
OpenAI, which is led by AI entrepreneur Sam Altman, pushed back on Florida&#8217;s decision to open a criminal investigation and said the company &#8220;proactively shared this information with law enforcement&#8221; after it identified the shooter&#8217;s account.
&#8220;Last year&#8217;s mass shooting at Florida State University was a tragedy, but ChatGPT is not responsible for this terrible crime,&#8221; an OpenAI spokeswoman told The Daily Wire.
&#8220;We continue to cooperate with authorities. In this case, ChatGPT provided factual responses to questions with information that could be found broadly across public sources on the internet, and it did not encourage or promote illegal or harmful activity,&#8221; the spokeswoman added.
Uthmeier, a Republican, said at a press conference on Tuesday that he believes government &#8220;should only interfere in business activities when you have significant harm to our people,&#8221; adding, &#8220;This is that.&#8221;
The criminal investigation will focus on looking into whether OpenAI or any of its employees should face charges over the programming of ChatGPT&#8217;s answers.
The Florida State shooter is not the only gunman to rely on ChatGPT for information before opening fire on innocent victims. Earlier this year, a trans-identifying <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trans-shooters-use-of-ai-puts-chatgpt-ceos-push-for-ai-privilege-under-the-microscope">shooter</a> in Canada raised warning signs among OpenAI employees for conversations he had with ChatGPT on shooting scenarios months before killing his mother and brother and then going to Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in British Columbia, where he killed another six people, including five children.
The trans-identifying gunman&#8217;s messages with ChatGPT in June 2025 resulted in his account getting banned, but OpenAI did not report the conversations to law enforcement, The Wall Street Journal reported. OpenAI tells users that it hands over information to law enforcement &#8220;if required to do so to comply with a legal obligation, or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation.&#8221;
Last year, however, Altman said that he wanted a policy passed to allow him to give AI users assurance that their conversations with ChatGPT would never be shared with the government.
“If I could get one piece of policy passed right now, relative to AI, the thing I would most like, and this is in tension with some of the other things that we’ve talked about, is I’d like there to be a concept of AI privilege,” Altman <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KmpT-BoVf4&amp;t=1911s">told</a> podcast host Tucker Carlson last September. “When you talk to a doctor about your health or a lawyer about your legal problems, the government cannot get that information.”
“We have decided that society has an interest in that being privileged and that a subpoena can’t get that, the government can’t come asking your doctor for it, whatever. I think we should have the same concept for AI,” he added.

A gunman who appeared to be targeting his own &#8220;descendants&#8221; opened fire in three different homes across the city of Shreveport, Louisiana, on Saturday night — and was shot and killed after he attempted to carjack a vehicle in order to escape.
The suspect in the horrific murder spree was identified later in the day as 31-year-old U.S. Army veteran Shamar Elkins.
According to a <a href="https://nypost.com/2026/04/19/us-news/8-kids-ages-1-to-14-killed-in-mass-shootings-across-shreveport-louisiana/">report</a> published Sunday by The New York Post, Elkins shot ten people, eight of them fatally, in two homes on one street and one other home on a nearby street. The two survivors were adult women, and all eight of the deceased were children ranging in age from one year old to 14 years old. Some of the children are believed to be his.
&#8220;The individual responsible once leaving this scene performed a carjacking right here in close proximity to the corner of West 79th and Lynnwood, at which point in time, Shreveport police patrol officers got behind that vehicle in a chase incident,&#8221; Shreveport Police Department spokesperson Christopher Bordelon said during a press conference. The suspect was shot and killed by police.
&#8220;You have three different scenes, the shooting itself occurred just down the road over here, the 300 block of West 79th,” <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/louisiana-shreveport-mass-shooting-rcna340868">Bordelon added</a>. “There’s also another shooting related to this on Harrison Street, and then there’s an adjacent residence on West 79 where one of the victims ran to after the shooting.&#8221;
&#8220;This is an extensive scene unlike anything most of us have ever seen,&#8221; Police Chief Wayne Smith said, noting that the official crime scene included the scene of the carjacking in addition to the three homes.
&#8220;This is a tragic situation, maybe the worst tragic situation we’ve ever had in Shreveport. So, right now we’re going to process the information and it&#8217;s in very good hands,&#8221; Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux said. &#8220;It’s a terrible morning.&#8221;
A motive for the shooting has not been determined, although several reports indicated that the suspect may have been involved with one of the women who was shot.

At least one person is dead and a number of others are injured after a mass shooting at a Chick-fil-A in Union Township, New Jersey, late Saturday night, according to preliminary reports.
Authorities say gunfire erupted around 8:40 p.m. inside or near the crowded fast-food restaurant along Route 22, sending patrons scrambling for safety. Early accounts indicate that at least six people were shot, with one victim pronounced dead at the scene. The conditions of the injured victims have not been fully disclosed, though several were transported to nearby hospitals.
Witnesses described a chaotic and fast-moving scene. A father waiting outside the restaurant told <a href="https://abc7ny.com/post/reports-multiple-people-shot-inside-chick-fil-union-new-jersey-investigation-ongoing/18873199/">ABC7 New York</a> his son, an employee, reported that multiple masked individuals entered the establishment and opened fire, wounding several workers. “It was a war zone,” he said.
&#8220;I got an unconscious witness. I&#8217;ve got one shot in the face &#8230; and I have at least two in the leg,&#8221; a 911 dispatcher says in audio obtained by <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/newyork/news/union-township-nj-chick-fil-a-shooting/">CBS News New York</a>. Another witness, a ride-share driver, said he heard at least seven gunshots while completing a trip nearby. “I heard the shots very close,” he said, describing a heavy police presence arriving within minutes.

Video circulating from the scene appears to show at least one masked individual fleeing the area shortly after the shooting. Law enforcement has not confirmed the number of suspects involved, and no arrests have been made as of Sunday.
Employees were locked inside the restaurant for hours following the shooting as police secured the scene and searched for suspects. Family members gathered outside the building late into the night, waiting for updates as officers moved in and out of the restaurant.
Authorities from multiple jurisdictions responded to the scene, shutting down the surrounding parking lot and portions of Route 22 as emergency crews worked to treat victims and clear the area. The scale of the response underscored the uncertainty investigators are still facing as they work to determine how many shooters were involved and whether the attack was targeted or random.
The Union County Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that an “active and ongoing investigation” is underway, but officials have not released information regarding a motive.
New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill <a href="https://x.com/GovSherrillNJ/status/2043316847408267644">said</a> she had been briefed on the shooting and that her administration is in contact with law enforcement officials on the ground. “My thoughts are with those who were injured in the shooting, and with their families,” Sherrill said in a statement.
Union Township, a suburban community of roughly 60,000 residents located about 15 miles west of New York City, remained on edge as the investigation stretched into Sunday. The Chick-fil-A remained an active crime scene late into the night as multiple law enforcement agencies worked to piece together what led to the attack.

The heroic ROTC cadets who stopped the terrorist at Old Dominion University in March described their experience beating and stabbing the attacker.
The shooter, former National Guard soldier Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, killed one and injured two in the March 12 attack, The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/gunman-opens-fire-injures-two-at-old-dominion-university">reported</a>. Jalloh was pronounced dead when police arrived on the scene.
“There were students that were in that room that subdued him and rendered him no longer alive,” Dominique Evans, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Norfolk office, said at the time. “They basically were able to terminate the threat.”
Jalloh entered a classroom at Old Dominion and “nervously” asked if it was an ROTC class. Cadet Wesley Myers said Jalloh, who was previously convicted of supporting ISIS, shouted “Allahu Akbar” and opened fire on class instructor Lieutenant Colonel Brandon Shah.
Shah later <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/decorated-military-hero-idd-as-victim-of-old-dominion-terrorist-attack">died</a> from his injuries.
“I saw my instructor kinda lunge at him, and when I got under the desk, I saw them together,” Cadet Jah-Ira Utarte said. “If he didn’t lunge at him, I wouldn’t be here right now. There’s a possibility he could’ve turned his gun and I could’ve been next.”

Cadet Louis Ancheta pulled out his pocket knife and ran up to Jalloh while Shah wrestled him.
“With my pocketknife, I open it, I run up, and as I’m running up, Colonel Shah lunges at the guy,” Ancheta said. “[Jalloh] shoots another stray, and it hits me. It really didn’t feel like it hit me. It felt like a graze. After that, I’m like, ‘I can keep on going.'&#8221;
Shah turned Jalloh around and gave Ancheta an opening to strike, the cadet said.
“I just go in there, and I start stabbing him,” Ancheta said. “As I’m stabbing him, other cadets jump in.”
Myers and Cadet Jeremy Rawlinson tried to wrest the gun away from Jalloh.
“We did what we tried to do to get the gun away from him, and he just wasn’t letting go,” Rawlinson said. “I just happened to have a knife on me at the time. Ancheta and I, we were, like, neutralizing the guy.”
As the cadets brought Jalloh to the ground, Myers wrenched away the gun, which only had one bullet left.
The cadets then switched to “combat care” to help Ancheta.
“It’s different when it’s not a mannequin, and it’s your friend,” Myers said.
The FBI is investigating the shooting as an act of terrorism. Director Kash Patel praised the cadets in a social media post March 12.
“The shooter is now deceased thanks to a group of brave students who stepped in and subdued him — actions that undoubtedly saved lives along with the quick response of law enforcement,” Patel <a href="https://x.com/FBIDirectorKash/status/2032183663350214858?s=20">said</a>.

School districts in Florida and Georgia are adopting a &#8220;revolutionary&#8221; security system that aims to stop mass shooters by deploying drones that can spray pepper gel, which can stick to and incapacitate a target.
The drones, created by Mithril Defense and known as “Black Arrows,” are part of a system called Campus Guardian Angel. The technology is being tested in several schools, with additional districts expressing interest.
The drones are equipped to emit disorienting lights and sounds, spray pepper gel, and collide with a suspected shooter. They are operated remotely by trained pilots in Austin, Texas, who can guide the drones using live video feeds. 
After a threat is reported, multiple drones can be deployed within seconds, transmitting real-time footage to both operators and local law enforcement. The Black Arrow drones can reach speeds of up to 100 miles per hour, the manufacturer said.
“We can take every corner, we’ll swing every door first, because we don’t care if we get shot, we’re metal and plastic,” Christian Van Sloun, Mithril’s chief drone pilot, told The Wall Street Journal. 
Officials in Volusia County, Florida, described the system as a potential shift in school security strategy.
“It’s revolutionary,” Florida’s Volusia County Sheriff’s Office Captain Todd Smith <a href="https://www.wsj.com/business/a-startup-is-supplying-drones-to-high-schools-to-stop-mass-shootings-a7800ade?mod=hp_lista_pos1">told</a> The Wall Street Journal. “This is the future.”
More than $500,000 in funding has been allocated for drone use in school districts in Florida and Georgia. An installation is underway at Deltona High School in Florida. Some parents have expressed cautious support.
“To find out that we’re one of the first ones to get this pilot program was a little nerve-racking at first,” parent Jessica Clayton told The Journal. “But at the same time, you have to start somewhere, and I’m hoping this can be a positive influence for the community.”
Mithril believes its drone technology will reduce response times and improve safety in active-shooter situations. 
“Our vision is ultimately to be in every school in the nation and to eradicate mass shootings,” Mithril co-founder Billy Marston told The Journal. “We believe we can help in the vast majority of these mass shootings.”

A Waymo driverless taxi blocked an entire street as an ambulance attempted to respond to the deadly <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/fbi-probes-potential-nexus-to-terrorism-in-deadly-austin-shooting-spree">mass shooting</a> at a bar in Austin, Texas, early Sunday morning.
A video of the incident went viral on social media over the weekend, and Austin officials confirmed that the Waymo robotaxi was blocking the road as first responders tried to drive to Buford’s, a popular bar near the University of Texas at Austin. The bar was the scene of a mass shooting where a Senegalese immigrant, who wore a shirt depicting the Iranian flag, killed at least two people and wounded over a dozen more.
The video shows the Waymo vehicle sitting perpendicular to the road and blocking an ambulance as EMS attempted to drive to the scene of the shooting. The robotaxi appeared to be waiting for its passengers as it blocked most of the street.
One woman was heard on the video saying, &#8220;This is why we should not have self-driving cars!&#8221;
&#8220;We just need to get in it, I think,&#8221; a man said.
The driverless car blocked the road for nearly two minutes before a police officer got into the Waymo and manually drove it off the street. By that time, the ambulance appeared to back up and take an alternate route to the scene of the shooting.

A Waymo spokeswoman told The Daily Wire that the driverless vehicle &#8220;identified a road blockage&#8221; as it was picking up passengers and then &#8220;began executing a U-turn.&#8221; When another ambulance appeared on the street, the Waymo &#8220;briefly yielded and was assisted by a nearby officer,&#8221; according to the spokeswoman.
Matthew Turnage said that after he left, he ordered an Uber ride, and the rideshare service sent him the Waymo car.
&#8220;We left a club at 2 a.m. and were walking to get a ride home. We just so happened to get a Waymo car from Uber and when we found the car, it was trying to pick us up but got stuck in the middle of the street and blocked emergency vehicles for a couple of minutes,&#8221; Turnage <a href="https://www.kxan.com/news/austin-mass-shooting/video-waymo-seen-blocking-first-responders-during-west-sixth-shooting/">told</a> KXAN Austin.
Robert Luckritz, chief of the Austin-Travis County EMS, said on Monday that the Waymo incident likely didn&#8217;t affect the &#8220;overall&#8221; response. Luckritz added that around 20 emergency vehicles made it to the scene of the shooting, with the first emergency vehicles arriving within 57 seconds of the first 911 call.
&#8220;So in the grand scheme of the impact of the overall incident, we don&#8217;t believe it had any impact on patient outcomes,&#8221; he said.
Luckritz said that officials communicated their &#8220;concerns&#8221; with Waymo &#8220;and [are working] with them to try to address this issue moving forward.&#8221;
Austin was one of the first cities to allow driverless car companies, such as Waymo and Tesla, to put robotaxis on its streets. While Waymo argues that its robotaxis have fewer accidents than human drivers, the driverless vehicles have <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/waymo-woes-self-driving-robotaxis-racking-up-crashes-and-mystery-riders-in-the-trunk">caused</a> traffic jams, driven through police standoffs, and <a href="https://x.com/niccruzpatane/status/1929590206488883246">blocked</a> emergency vehicles in the past.
Police said at a press conference that the death toll from the shooting could soon rise to three as one victim could be taken off of life support later on Monday. Federal authorities are investigating the incident as a potential terrorist attack. Along with the Iran-themed shirt, the gunman, identified as 53-year-old Ndiaga Diagne, also wore a sweatshirt emblazoned with the phrase &#8220;Property of Allah.&#8221;

Authorities in Austin, Texas, have confirmed that the suspect in a shooting that left two dead and 14 more injured was wearing a shirt depicting an Iranian flag under a hoodie that read &#8220;Property of Allah&#8221; when he opened fire on Sunday morning.
Austin Mayor Kirk Watson and Police Chief Lisa Davis gave a press conference early Monday afternoon to give updates on the still-unfolding situation, and after taking a brief moment to thank all of those involved in the investigation, they promised additional information would be coming about the suspect in another press conference tentatively scheduled for Thursday.
&#8220;We are still in the early hours of the investigation; this is a complicated and large crime scene,&#8221; Davis said, identifying the two deceased victims as Savitha Shan and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/full-of-life-texas-tech-student-slain-in-austin-shooting-as-fbi-eyes-possible-terror-link">Ryder Harrington</a> and adding, &#8220;I cannot imagine the grief, pain, and loss these families are feeling today, and my heart is with them.&#8221;
Davis went on to note that the magnitude of the crime scene would necessarily slow the investigation. Officials are tasked with interviewing more than 150 witnesses who were present at the time of the shooting — and information will be provided to the press and the public as it is deemed appropriate. She also said that in the coming days, after they&#8217;ve been thoroughly reviewed, authorities would be releasing the footage from body-worn cameras.
Once they had given the available updates, Davis and Watson took several questions from the press. It was confirmed then that the shooter, identified as Senegalese immigrant and naturalized U.S. citizen Ndiaga Diagne, had been wearing a shirt with the Iranian flag on it under his hoodie. There was also a Quran located in his vehicle, as was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/fbi-probes-potential-nexus-to-terrorism-in-deadly-austin-shooting-spree">previously reported</a> by The Daily Wire.
Davis, in response to a question from the press, said that the shooter had purchased his firearms legally, and that he had not previously been on law enforcement&#8217;s &#8220;radar.&#8221;
During the question-and-answer period, officials also confirmed that of the 14 who were injured in the attack, one was expected to be taken off life support in the near future — and two remain in critical condition.
In the coming days, investigators will be working to piece together a timeline of the events leading up to the shooting in an effort to get a better picture of the shooter&#8217;s motive.

The first victim in the Austin bar shooting over the weekend has been identified as 19-year-old Ryder Harrington, a student at Texas Tech.
&#8220;Ryder was the best mix of all the Harrington crew,” his brother, Reed Harrington, wrote on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1Da2o6PHw2/">social media</a>, thanking supporters on behalf of the family.
Harrington was one of two people killed early Sunday morning after 53-year-old Ndiaga Diagne opened fire outside Buford&#8217;s, a popular bar in downtown Austin. Police shot and killed Diagne after a brief gunfire exchange.
According to local Lubbock TV station <a href="https://www.kcbd.com/2026/03/02/texas-tech-student-killed-austin-bar-shooting/">KCBD</a>, Harrington was a member of the Fall 2024 pledge class of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity.
In a statement, the fraternity said:

Texas House Speaker Dustin Burrows (R) said the loss hit close to home because Harrington was related to one of his team members.
&#8220;Ryder was the brother-in-law of one of our own, and our hearts are aching alongside his loved ones,&#8221; Burrows <a href="https://x.com/Burrows4TX/status/2028304728820514958?s=20">said</a>. &#8220;From all accounts, Ryder was exactly the kind of young man who made a difference without even trying—full of life, loyal to his friends, proud to be a Red Raider and a Texan, and someone who showed up for the people around him.&#8221;
Police say Diagne fired just before 2 a.m. Sunday. He <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/texas-tech-student-identified-victim-austin-bar-shooting-rcna261317">reportedly</a> wore a sweatshirt that said &#8220;Property of Allah&#8221; and a t-shirt underneath with a design similar to the Iranian flag. According to law enforcement, Diagne drove around the block multiple times in a large SUV before stopping, turning on his flashers, rolling down a window, and firing at people sitting outside the establishment.
He then exited the vehicle and continued shooting in the crowded nightlife district.
Authorities said Diagne was armed with a handgun and rifle and acted alone.
Fourteen people were hospitalized, several in critical condition.
<a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/mass-shooting-at-austin-texas-bar-leaves-at-least-3-dead-multiple-people-wounded/#">CBS News</a> reported that investigators found Iranian flags and pictures of Iranian leaders in the shooter&#8217;s home. A Quran was also found in the vehicle. Officials have not announced a motive, but the FBI is investigating whether the shooting could be related to terrorism. Other reports say the gunman had previous mental health issues.
The attack occurred hours after the United States and Israel launched strikes on targets in Iran.

The gender-confused man who murdered his wife and son at a Rhode Island hockey game defended men in women’s bathrooms, said transgender people go “BESERK” when criticized, and urged the Right to welcome “conservative trans people,” a review of his social media reveals 
The X posts of shooter Robert Dorgan, who called himself &#8220;Roberta,&#8221; suggest that he adhered to a disjointed belief system that blended transgender ideology, Jew hatred, Nazi iconography, and pornography, as well as some standard conservative views. The posts give a picture of Dorgan’s twisted mental state in the weeks leading up to the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/transgender-identifying-man-opens-fire-at-rhode-island-hockey-game-killing-two">deadly attack</a> at a high school hockey game in Pawtucket.
During the attack, Dorgan killed himself, his ex-wife, Rhonda Dorgan and their adult son, Aidan, and left Rhonda Dorgan&#8217;s parents and family friend Thomas Geruso injured. Court records from 2020 <a href="https://www.wpri.com/target-12/pawtucket-shooters-gender-identity-tied-to-past-family-disputes-court-records-show/">show</a> that Dorgan’s wife filed for divorce, initially citing “gender reassignment surgery, narcissistic + personality disorder traits” as the reason before crossing them out and writing “irreconcilable differences.”
Just one day before he opened fire in Pawtucket, Dorgan posted on X that transgender people go &#8220;berserk&#8221; because of criticism of their identity. 
Responding to Christian actor Kevin Sorbo’s post on X that transgender-identifying Rep. “Sarah” McBride was a man, Dorgan <a href="https://x.com/Tgirlcuda/status/2023184227240730760">posted</a>, &#8220;Keep bashing us. but do not wonder why we Go BERSERK.” He <a href="https://x.com/Tgirlcuda/status/2023182462449582173">added</a> in another post, “Go f your mutha.”
After Alex Jones responded to Sorbo’s post by saying, “creepy,” Dorgan wrote, “stfu Alex dont be so butt hurtt over somebody different. then wonder why trans ppl go fkn BERSERK.”
The shooting comes just days after a transgender-identifying man <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/youtube-confirms-trans-themed-page-is-linked-to-canada-mass-shooting-suspect">opened fire</a> at a school in Canada, killing six people at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in British Columbia. Transgender-identifying shooters also carried out deadly attacks on Christian schools in Nashville in 2023 and in Minneapolis in 2025. In the aftermath of the Minneapolis shooting, officials in the Justice Department began considering a ban on gun ownership for transgender-identifying people.

Other posts from Dorgan show him telling conservatives to compromise on transgender ideology and discussing how his wife did not approve of his decision to identify as a woman. 
In September 2018, Dorgan shared an article called “What Is It Like Being Married To A Transgender Woman.” Dorgan <a href="https://x.com/Tgirlcuda/status/1044966909031174144">wrote</a>, “My wife says she Hates the person who stole her husband. I think it&#8217;s extremely important to take special care of those who stand by us. Listen and understand what they are going through for our sake!”
In another <a href="https://x.com/Tgirlcuda/status/1126645396061683717">post</a> from May 2019, he wrote, “Transwoman, 6 kids: wife- not thrilled.”
Dorgan called the young woman <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/detransitioner-awarded-millions-in-first-malpractice-verdict-this-is-how-it-all-ends">who won</a> $2 million in a medical malpractice lawsuit after she had her breasts removed at age 16 because she identified as a boy a “jerk” and an “a hole.”

Dorgan also downplayed concerns about men going into women’s bathrooms because of their gender confusion. 
“Ask women this basic question: do you see more at a beach or a restroom? case closed no ones Ever seen another persons nipple or [women’s genitalia] in a  ladies room,” he <a href="https://x.com/Tgirlcuda/status/2018367864617472178">wrote</a>.

In another post, Dorgan <a href="https://x.com/Tgirlcuda/status/2018366948384333912">chalked</a> up a Canadian court ordering the state health agency to craft a custom vagina for a man while leaving his penis intact to “body jewelry/modification.”
He also <a href="https://x.com/Tgirlcuda/status/2022022364498997304">appeared</a> to claim that historical figures like Meriwether Lewis, William Clark, and King James <a href="https://x.com/Tgirlcuda/status/2020871905834602867">were</a> all gay. 
Dorgan claimed to be a conservative, and he frequently shared posts from conservative figures like White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, undercover journalist James O’Keefe, and others. 
More posts show Dorgan <a href="https://x.com/Tgirlcuda/status/2018805971515269485">claiming</a> that he was conservative because he hated taxes, abortion, and supported the Second Amendment. “My gripe is the knee jerk reaction that ‘ALL’ lgbt are ‘D’,” he wrote. 
He also objected to the suggestion that LGBT identifying people were on the left. “Hey MF whole bunch of LGBT aint commies aight,” he <a href="https://x.com/Tgirlcuda/status/2016571046153900195">wrote</a>. In another, he <a href="https://x.com/Tgirlcuda/status/2019453648808387038">said</a>, “support conservative trans ppl.”
“Rugged -Individual Conservatives are somehow Obsessed with my shirt, my chromosomes and whats in my underwear. its freakin Bizzare,” he wrote in one <a href="https://x.com/Tgirlcuda/status/2018366555025764444">post</a>. 
In another, he <a href="https://x.com/Tgirlcuda/status/2015463067216216476">wrote</a>: “Honest question how is what’s in my underwear related to you somehow this is what I can’t understand with the political right in general my genitals take up permanent space inside your head for no reason whatsoever.”

Dorgan frequently shared posts from Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and former Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R), and often interacted with posts related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. 
At the same time, he frequently shared clips of white nationalist Nick Fuentes speaking, <a href="https://x.com/Tgirlcuda/status/2022671035536150787">calling</a> Fuentes “sXe.”
One post he shared <a href="https://x.com/TheRISEofROD/status/2002252987750604990">claimed</a> that the “Jews killed Charlie,” and another wildly <a href="https://x.com/cirnosad/status/1966349804830863721">asserted</a> that Israel orchestrated Kirk’s assassination so that Daily Wire editor emeritus Ben Shapiro could take over Turning Point USA. 
The suspect accused of assassinating Kirk had a trans-identifying romantic partner. 
Other posts <a href="https://x.com/Tgirlcuda/status/2022304728915353966">alluded</a> to American neonazi William Pierce, praised music videos <a href="https://x.com/Tgirlcuda/status/2020665366846804138">glorifying</a> the Nazis, and suggested he <a href="https://x.com/Tgirlcuda/status/2021587533243515352">embraced</a> “world wide white pride.” In October 2024, he <a href="https://x.com/Tgirlcuda/status/1849107125592523025">wrote</a> that he was “post op” transgender and “to the right of Hitler.” 
Photos on social media circulating of Dorgan appeared to show he had Nazi-affiliated tattoos. 
He frequently commented on pornographic posts at the same time as he obsessed about the influence of Jeffrey Epstein. One disturbing photo he shared on X showed Dorgan posing in a thong while standing outside admiring a motorcycle. 
Law enforcement said that Dorgan had two guns on him, a Glock 10 mm and a SIG Sauer P226. In a post from January 31, 2026, he <a href="https://x.com/Tgirlcuda/status/2017636206184456606">boasted</a> about having a 10mm 357SIG. Ironically, he <a href="https://x.com/Tgirlcuda/status/2015466436819288117">wrote</a> on January 25, 2025, less than one month before the shooting, that “rational, thinking, people realize that there are certain places you’re simply not allowed to carry.”
Family members have come out and said that the shooting was motivated by anger at his family. 
“I just want to make sure people understand this was one person’s vendetta against their family,” Amanda Wallace-Hubbard, Dorgan’s daughter, <a href="https://www.wpri.com/news/local-news/blackstone-valley/this-was-one-persons-vendetta-daughter-speaks-out-on-pawtucket-suspect/">told</a> WPRI.  
“We were targeted,” she added. “This was very specific. It wasn’t random.&#8221;

Ten people are dead, and at least 25 more were injured after a shooter who was reportedly wearing a dress opened fire at a rural Canadian school on Tuesday. 
The mass shooting took place at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in northeastern British Columbia, serving students in grades 7 through 12, where seven people were killed. The shooter then died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said. Investigators said they found two other people dead at a nearby home and believe it was connected to the school attack. Police have not yet released the attacker&#8217;s identity, but <a href="https://x.com/nicksortor/status/2021422026024681595">described</a> the shooter as a &#8220;gun person.&#8221; Authorities initially described the suspect as a person with brown hair and wearing a dress. 
When reached for comment by The Daily Wire, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police refused to confirm the sex of the shooter.
&#8220;We are unable to confirm identity publicly at this time. Updates will be provided as information becomes available. As such, I don&#8217;t have a timeline of when the next availability will be,&#8221; spokeswoman Vanessa Munn told The Daily Wire.

Six of the victims died at the school, while a seventh died while being transported to the hospital. Two others were airlifted with serious injuries, while 25 others were being treated for minor injuries. 
The investigation into the shooting is being handled by the Major Crime Division of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Law enforcement said they were checking other locations for any additional victims. 
“This was a rapidly evolving and dynamic situation, and the swift cooperation from the school, first responders, and the community played a critical role in our response,” North District Commander Ken Floyd said. “Our thoughts are with the families, loved ones, and all those impacted by this tragic incident. This has been an incredibly difficult and emotional day for our community, and we are grateful for the cooperation shown as officers continue their work to advance the investigation.”
Floyd said later that police had no indication of motive, saying he thought investigators would “struggle to determine the ‘why’, but we will try our best to determine what transpired.”
The attack was one of the deadliest mass shootings in Canadian history. 
“My prayers and deepest condolences are with the families and friends who have lost loved ones to these horrific acts of violence,” said Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. “I join Canadians in grieving with those whose lives have been changed irreversibly today, and in gratitude for the courage and selflessness of the first responders who risked their lives to protect their fellow citizens.”
Tumbler Ridge is a city of around 2400 people, and fewer than 200 students were <a href="https://studentsuccess.gov.bc.ca/school/05959027/report/contextual-information" target="_blank" rel="noopener">enrolled</a> at the school.
&#8220;I will know every victim. I&#8217;ve been here 19 years, and we&#8217;re a small community,&#8221; Tumbler Ridge Mayor Darryl Krakowka <a href="https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/livestory/active-shooter-alert-tumbler-ridge-secondary-school-bc-live-updates-9.7083740?ts=1770782426680">told</a> CBC. &#8220;I don&#8217;t call them residents. I call them family.&#8221;

The 28-year-old transgender-identifying woman who murdered six people at a Christian school in Nashville in March 2023 hated white people and religion, portions of her newly released writings reveal. 
The FBI <a href="https://vault.fbi.gov/nashville-covenant-school-shooting/nashville-covenant-school-shooting-part-06/view">posted</a> more of the disturbing ramblings of The Covenant School attacker on December 22, including notes that suggest she purchased the weapon used in the killings using federal financial aid. The writings were published after a judge ordered the agency to release documents related to the attack. 
The latest release includes 230 pages of the shooter’s notes and plans leading up to the mass murder. On March 27, 2023, she entered the school and killed three young children and three adults before she was fatally shot by Nashville police officers. 
Among the pages published by the FBI, the attacker listed “advantages” of targeting The Covenant School, where she had attended for a few years. She noted that the school was a “predominantly white school (white pple I hate)” and that it was a “Christian school (hate religion).”
The writings also reveal that the attacker considered targeting a middle school in the Nashville area, but leaned against it because a higher percentage of black students were enrolled there. 
The shooter wrote that school would be in line with her goals because a “massacre” there would be “more notorious/prolific.” Still, she said the “disadvantages” were that it was a “predominantly black school (black people I love),” adding that it would put “black people in dispair + suffering (I don’t want to cause that).” 
Also in the writings, included references that she appeared to use student loan money to purchase the gun used in the attack. In a section of the writings labeled “Account Savings Record,” she listed off various sources of income, including “FASFA [sic] grant checks started at $2,050.86,” followed by entries like “$2,656.87 (x3 checks from Nossi)” and “+$530.00 (x1 check Nossi) ($3,186.87).”
The shooter appeared to be referencing checks from her time at Nossi College of Art and Design in Nashville and from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Those entries followed a list of gun and ammo expenses. The attacker’s parents previously told investigators that she bought the firearm she used in the massacre with Pell Grant funds. 
Most of the newly released pages focus on different types of guns, ammunition, and local gun stores and ranges. Receipts included indicate that just months before the attack, she took several gun classes at the Royal Range in Nashville. She also expounded on “Biden’s horrible gun plans.&#8221; 
The writings also included many references to previous mass shooters and noted the number of victims in each incident. 
The Nashville police department <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nashville-police-in-final-report-downplay-covenant-shooters-transgender-identity-hatred-of-christianity?author=Leif+Le+Mahieu&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Nashville+Police+In+Final+Report+Downplay+Covenant+Shooter’s+Transgender+Identity%2C+Hatred+Of+Christianity">released</a> its final report on the attack in April and downplayed the shooter&#8217;s transgender identity and documented animus toward Christianity, white people, and the wealthy. Instead, the department said that she wanted to gain notoriety.

This final report didn’t appear to fully take into account the attacker’s transgender identity, which dominated her life.
In journal entries previously published by The Daily Wire, she wrote just weeks before the deadly shooting about her fantasy of having an “imaginary penis” and said that it was a “f***ing curse” that she was born a woman.
“I want to know what that’s like, but I never will because I was damned to be born this way,” she wrote in the journal of her desire to have a penis. “I swear to f*** I hate it so goddamned much. It’s a f***ing curse.”
