<p>As numerous &#8220;No Kings&#8221; rallies popped up across the United States, several signs and costumes prompted immediate ridicule — but perhaps none so much as the woman from Durham, North Carolina, who dressed in full 18th century garb and called on protesters to &#8220;give them 1789 France.&#8221;</p>
<p>The woman, apparently dressed as beheaded French aristocrat Marie Antoinette, wore a blonde wig styled in the traditional pouf and fake blood dripped over her pearl necklace. The only two things out of place were her sunglasses and the sign she held, which read, &#8220;They want 1939 Germany. Let&#8217;s give them 1789 France.&#8221;</p>

<p>And while her point was clearly a call to get rid of what she perceived as the &#8220;aristocracy&#8221; in the United States, several critics noted the irony of her invoking the French Revolution specifically. While the most famous public executions during that period were of high profile individuals like Antoinette and even King Louis XVI in 1793, the majority of those who died under the guillotine were commoners who dared to voice opposition to the revolutionaries. In addition, the revolution ultimately devolved into such chaos that the nation was already primed when Napoleon Bonaparte seized power in 1799 — and then returned to monarchy after Napoleon&#8217;s defeat some 15 years later.</p>
<p>In another ironic twist, recent <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/500-groups-3b-revenues-behind-nokings-protests-communist-call-revolution">reporting</a> from Fox News Digital indicated that the &#8220;No Kings&#8221; protests were bankrolled by a number of groups boasting a combined $3 billion in revenue — and by several communist and socialist groups who have been calling for &#8220;revolution&#8221; in the United States.</p>
<p>The lead organizers for protests in St. Paul, Minnesota, for example, were reportedly promoted by Indivisible — a relatively well-known Democratic organization funded by billionaire George Soros.</p>
<p>Neville Roy Singham — an American communist living in China with ties to radical organization CodePink — was also connected several other groups that sent representatives to the &#8220;No Kings&#8221; protests as well. Among those organizations are the People’s Forum in New York, the Party for Socialism and Liberation, the ANSWER Coalition, and the Freedom Road Socialist Organization.</p>

<p>Agents with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) should start seeing paychecks Monday or Tuesday, but it could still be quite some time before the business of traveling by air returns to business as usual.</p>
<p>Border Czar Tom Homan told CNN anchor Jake Tapper on Sunday that he had spoken with newly sworn-in Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin about President Donald Trump&#8217;s order — which directed him to pay TSA agents out of preexisting funding — and that they expected agents to see their first paychecks in weeks within the coming days.</p>

<p>Homan also addressed Trump&#8217;s decision to send Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents into airports — a move made to mitigate the chaos of long lines and wait times as the lack of pay led to mass callouts among TSA employees — and said that they may remain in place for a time yet.</p>
<p>&#8220;We’ll see. You know, it depends how many TSA agents come back to work. How many TSA agents have actually quit and have no plan coming back to work? I’m working very closely with TSA administrator and the ICE director to decide what airport needs what,&#8221; Homan told Tapper.</p>
<p>The president issued an executive order on Friday directing Mullin to use funding that had &#8220;a reasonable and logical nexus to TSA operations&#8221; to ensure that agents received pay. They have not been paid since Democrats voted against funding the Department of Homeland Security some six weeks earlier, forcing a partial government shutdown that has also impacted the U.S. Coast Guard, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, Coast Guard and Secret Service.</p>
<p>The Democrats voted to block the DHS funding bill after the deaths of protesters Renee Good and Alex Pretti during the ICE surge in Minneapolis, Minnesota, despite the fact that ICE agents were still being paid under provisions of the One Big Beautiful Bill.</p>
<p>But as Fox News congressional correspondent Bill Melugin <a href="https://x.com/BillMelugin_/status/2037604682370003061">reported</a>, it&#8217;s only the frontline ICE and Customs and Border Patrol agents who are receiving paychecks amid the shutdown.</p>
<p>&#8220;The ICE, Border Patrol, and CBP agents we see in the field are all getting paid via OBBB. HOWEVER &#8230; their professional and civilian support staff are NOT being paid,&#8221; Melugin explained. &#8220;These are people who work the computers, the public affairs offices, and other support staff who aren&#8217;t on the front line making immigration arrests, but are supporting the agents who are. These civilian support staffers haven&#8217;t been paid for almost half of the last six months when you factor in the prior shutdown last fall.&#8221;</p>
<p>In an effort to get the TSA funded, the Senate <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/senate-strikes-overnight-deal-to-pay-tsa-agents-in-bid-to-end-airport-chaos">passed a measure</a> on Thursday that would break the logjam for most of DHS — with the exception of ICE and some parts of Border Patrol. But following President Trump&#8217;s lead, the House rejected the bill.</p>
<p>Neither the Senate bill nor a House bill that would fully fund DHS includes any of the ICE reforms demanded by Democrats, such as a ban on federal immigration agents wearing masks, and a provision requiring judicial warrants for immigration enforcement operations.</p>

<p>&#8220;In &#8216;The Art of War,&#8217; Sun Tzu wrote that a leader&#8217;s plans must be as dark and impenetrable as night,&#8221; Karl began, saying that Trump might not be basing his strategy on Sun Tzu but his plans were certainly difficult to pin down.</p>
<p>Karl highlighted the conflicting statements about developments in Iran, saying that Trump spent half the time talking about how many objectives had already been achieved — some, as he&#8217;s said on several occasions, ahead of schedule — while quietly moving to build up troops in the area, and perhaps signaling a coming escalation.</p>
<p>&#8220;Just consider his words over the past ten days,&#8221; Karl said. &#8220;On March 20th, he declared that he was &#8216;close to meeting his military objective and considering winding down our military efforts in the Middle East.&#8217; The very next day he announced a major escalation, threatening to &#8216;hit and obliterate&#8217; Iranian power infrastructure if the regime did not fully open the Strait of Hormuz.&#8221;</p>
<p>Just days later, Karl noted, Trump had announced that he&#8217;d been having &#8220;productive&#8221; conversations with officials regarding bringing hostilities to a close – but then extended the deadline more than once.</p>
<p>&#8220;Listening to President Trump&#8217;s words at any given moment, it sounds like the war is about to end — or it’s about to intensify,&#8221; Karl remarked.</p>
<p>Since the beginning of Operation Epic Fury, Trump and a number of his surrogates — including Secretary of State Marco Rubio and War Secretary Pete Hegseth have repeatedly made it clear that they would not, at least publicly, remove any military or diplomatic options from the table. That in conjunction with Trump&#8217;s apparently-conflicting statements and actions suggest that he has, in fact, taken &#8220;The Art of War&#8221; to heart.</p>

<p>What Kimmel left out — both in his initial comments about <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/jimmy-kimmel-mocks-markwayne-mullins-blue-collar-roots">Mullin</a> and the follow up — was that Mullin went to work at his family&#8217;s plumbing business at just 20 years old, leaving college to take over due to his father&#8217;s illness. He proceeded to take the small family business and expand it to a multi-million dollar enterprise.</p>

<p>Bill Maher put Senator Elissa Slotkin on the spot Friday, challenging the Michigan Democrat to defend her party&#8217;s opposition to President Donald Trump&#8217;s military actions against the Iranian regime.</p>

<p>“See, that’s the Democrat talking point I hear all the time and I don’t know if it’s true,&#8221; Maher objected. &#8220;I think they were planning to say that whether he did it or not, and then he did it, and they just kept saying it even though they did say many times, &#8216;Okay, we found out that they were very close to the bomb.&#8217; I mean, that&#8217;s what came out in the negotiations.&#8221;</p>
<p>Slotkin immediately pivoted, abandoning her claim that the Trump administration had not properly articulated its goals and objecting instead that the war was ongoing despite the fact that the goals had been met.</p>

<p>NBC News White House correspondent Peter Alexander announced on Saturday that he was leaving the network after 22 years, explaining that the long workweeks were keeping him away from his family. But that might not be the whole story.</p>
<p>A <a href="https://pagesix.com/2026/03/28/entertainment/peter-alexander-is-leaving-nbc-after-years-of-being-passed-over-for-top-anchor-jobs-source/?utm_campaign=pagesix&amp;utm_source=twitter&amp;utm_medium=social">report</a> from Page Six suggested that Alexander, who was often double-booked as NBC&#8217;s White House correspondent and co-anchor of &#8220;Saturday Today,&#8221; was also feeling the strain after being repeatedly passed over for several of the hottest anchor gigs in the legacy network&#8217;s lineup.</p>
<p>Alexander made the announcement during Saturday morning&#8217;s &#8220;Today&#8221; broadcast, explaining that he was ready for the next challenge and describing the rigorous schedule that often had him in Washington, D.C., during the week and in New York City every weekend.</p>
<p>&#8220;I’ve been away from home more than 80 nights in the last seven months. More than 200 Friday nights away from my family in the last seven years,&#8221; Alexander explained during Saturday morning&#8217;s broadcast. &#8220;So, in this limited window before my daughters lose interest in hanging out with me … I’m eager to carve out a better balance between my personal and professional lives.&#8221;</p>
<p>Alexander&#8217;s final appearance on NBC News was Saturday.</p>
<p>But sources told Page Six that Alexander was also likely looking at the network lineup and realizing that his chances for moving up had all but evaporated.</p>
<p>His former partner on the White House beat, Kristen Welker, had made the transition to hosting the network&#8217;s flagship Sunday show, &#8220;Meet the Press.&#8221; His former co-anchor on &#8220;Saturday Today,&#8221; Craig Melvin, was moved to weekdays and has cemented himself as the top male voice on &#8220;The Today Show.&#8221; With Tom Llamas holding down the fort at &#8220;NBC Nightly News,&#8221; the opportunities for internal advancement have steadily dried up.</p>
<p>&#8220;He’d be the first to say he’s had ambitions for the top anchor jobs, and with all of those spots recently filled, he’s going to try something new,&#8221; one source told Page Six.</p>
<p>In a memo to staff, NBC News Washington Bureau Chief Chloe Arensberg, and Matt Carluccio, executive producer of weekend broadcasts of &#8220;Today,&#8221; hailed Alexander as &#8220;a trusted presence with great range across NBC News, and a friend to so many across the Washington Bureau, ‘Today’ and the broader NBC News team.&#8221;</p>
<p>It&#8217;s unclear where Alexander will go next. Variety <a href="https://variety.com/2026/tv/news/peter-alexander-exit-nbc-news-1236701929/">reported</a> that Alexander has not revealed any potential future plans, but the Los Angeles Times <a href="https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/business/story/2026-03-28/peter-alexander-is-leaving-nbc-news-to-join-ms-now-as-anchor">reports</a> that Alexander is leaving to join MS NOW, the recently rebranded MSNBC, where he &#8220;will serve as an anchor and chief national reporter,&#8221; host &#8220;a weekday program&#8221; and &#8220;handle breaking news coverage throughout the day.&#8221;</p>
<p>Neither Alexander nor MS NOW have officially announced the move, but MS NOW host Joe Scarborough — who just signed a four-year contract alongside &#8220;Morning Joe&#8221; co-host and wife Mika Brzezinski — <a href="https://x.com/ScarboroughNow/status/2037895480273686886">congratulated</a> Alexander for the move on X, perhaps signaling that the transition is a done deal.</p>

<p>An American was among three people arrested in connection with a fire that destroyed a warehouse in the Czech Republic linked to a company supplying drones to Ukraine.</p>
<p>Two suspects were <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/czechs-investigate-fire-after-reports-anti-israel-group-claiming-responsibility-2026-03-20/">arrested</a> in the Czech Republic, while a third was detained in Slovakia and faces possible extradition. Authorities are investigating the suspected arson attack as an act of terrorism. Police identified the suspects as U.S. and Czech nationals.</p>
<p>&#8220;Based on what we know so far, it is likely the incident may be related to ⁠a terrorist ​attack,&#8221; Interior Minister Lubomir Metnar said.</p>
<p>An unnamed protest group claimed responsibility for the fire in letters sent to Czech media outlets, according to multiple reports. The group reportedly said it had intended to target Czech defense firm ​LPP Holding, which operates in the same complex, alleging the company was supplying drones to Israel.</p>
<p>The group described the warehouse in Pardubice as a &#8220;key manufacturing hub&#8221; for Israeli weapons and stated that the fire was intended to end the company&#8217;s alleged role in the &#8220;genocide in Gaza.&#8221;</p>
<p>LLP Holding released a statement confirming that a fire had been reported at one of its facilities, but denied manufacturing Israeli drones. The company acknowledged that it had explored cooperation with Israeli firm Elbit Systems in 2023, but said nothing ever came of it.</p>
<p>&#8220;No Israeli drones have ever been manufactured at our facility,&#8221; LPP&#8217;s statement now.</p>
<p>One of the suspects has been identified as Youssef Morsi, who has been linked to a number of protest groups and has also been associated with pro-Palestinian activism.</p>
<p>Prague Youth Queer &amp; Intersectional Collective for Palestine, another organization to which Morsi has been linked, released a statement via Instagram saying that some &#8220;connected with the movement&#8221; had been approached by police in connection with the investigation and offered tips for anyone dealing with law enforcement.</p>

<p>Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent delivered a scathing response to The Financial Times after the outlet published a story — which he labeled &#8220;explicitly false&#8221; — about his plans for the future of the Federal Reserve.</p>
<p>The <a href="https://www.ft.com/content/9d1859f0-2f93-4ff1-8cfb-8046342bf9f7?syn-25a6b1a6=1">Financial Times</a> headline read, &#8220;Scott Bessent praised Bank of England as model for tighter oversight of Federal Reserve.&#8221; An X post promoting the piece followed the same general theme: &#8220;U.S. treasury secretary Scott Bessent discussed tightening the US Treasury’s oversight of the Federal Reserve by adopting elements of the Bank of England’s model.&#8221;</p>
<p>Bessent objected in a lengthy <a href="https://x.com/SecScottBessent/status/2037337495575134643?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E2037337495575134643%7Ctwgr%5E267dcd7cc78786bcb565c54c2e581946497d7248%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Ftwitchy.com%2Fsamj%2F2026%2F03%2F27%2Fscott-bissent-financial-times-n2426503">X post</a> of his own, explaining that as recently as 2025, he had written a comprehensive (<a href="https://www.international-economy.com/TIE_Sp25_Bessent.pdf">6,000+ words</a>) analysis of potential reforms for the Federal Reserve, and that he had never adopted a stance supporting a move toward the Chancellor-Bank of England statute for the relationship between the Treasury and the Federal Reserve.</p>
<p>&#8220;By publishing this explicitly false story, the @FT has officially become tabloid trash for market participants,&#8221; Bessent began, noting that he had gone on the record denying the premise of the story. &#8220;Despite my direct, on-the-record denial of ever having advocated, explored, or espoused the idea that Chancellor-Bank of England statute serving as a prototype for a Treasury-Federal Reserve relationship, FT journalists manufactured a story with the headline, &#8216;Scott Bessent praised Bank of England as model for tighter oversight of the Federal Reserve.'&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;These pathetic journalists have clearly fabricated a story to give the impression that both I and the Trump Administration are setting &#8216;about restructuring the relationship … at a time when President Donald Trump has launched an unprecedented assault on the world’s most important central bank,'&#8221; Bessent continued, referring to the story as a &#8220;mendacious assertion&#8221; backed only by anonymous &#8220;financial industry executives.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;In short, FT has literally manufactured an entirely fake policy position for me and the Administration,&#8221; Bessent said. He went on to say that he didn&#8217;t understand why The Financial Times would go ahead with such a story — which he said could only further damage their credibility as journalists — unless their sole priority was to paint a picture of discord and division in President Donald Trump&#8217;s administration.</p>
<p>&#8220;Over the past 10 years, I have written more than 20,000 words opining on the Federal Reserve decisions, personnel, structure, and modifications. Nowhere have I ever mentioned this ridiculous notion,&#8221; Bessent added. &#8220;The Governor’s letters to the Chancellor have proven to be a useless and perfunctory device. There is much to be said about the storied Bank of England, but any recreation of its operating framework on this side of the Atlantic has never been contemplated.&#8221;</p>
<p>Bessent concluded with one last shot at The Financial Times, saying, &#8220;The shameful journalists and editors at the FT are shocking in their meretriciousness, lack of standards, and general intellectual libertinism. It is the worst tradition of Fleet Street to manufacture news rather than report on it. They have brought irredeemable shame to their parent organization, Nikkei Inc., with whom I had previously held excellent relations.&#8221;</p>
<p><a href="https://www.international-economy.com/TIE_Sp25_Bessent.pdf">Bessent&#8217;s argument</a> for change in the Federal Reserve had more to do with reining in &#8220;institutional bloat&#8221; and the &#8220;overuse of nonstandard policies&#8221; created to address specific issues.</p>
<p>&#8220;As we saw during the covid pandemic, when lab-created experiments escape their confines, they can wreak havoc in the real world. Once released, they cannot easily be put back into the containment zone,&#8221; Bessent explained. &#8220;The &#8216;extraordinary&#8217; monetary policy tools unleashed after the 2008 financial crisis have similarly transformed the U.S. Federal Reserve’s policy regime, with unpredictable consequences.&#8221;</p>

<p>President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he would sign an order directing the Department of Homeland Security to pay the Transportation Safety Administration despite the ongoing partial government shutdown.</p>
<p>Trump blamed Democrats in the Senate for showing more concern for illegal aliens than for the American people and continuing to block funding for DHS.</p>
<p>&#8220;The Radical Left Democrats, and their &#8216;Leader,&#8217; Cryin’ Chuck Schumer, have made it very clear where they stand, and that is, ON THE SIDE OF CRIMINAL ILLEGAL ALIENS, AND NOT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE,&#8221; Trump posted on his Truth Social platform. &#8220;They are refusing to fund Immigration Enforcement unless the Republicans agree to their Open Border Policies, which will never, ever happen again.&#8221;</p>
<p>The president went on to attack Democrats for allowing millions of illegals to enter the United States unvetted during previous administrations: &#8220;They almost destroyed our Country, allowing 25 Million People to enter from Prisons, Mental Institutions, and Insane Asylums, those that are Drug Dealers, and thousands of Murderers, many of whom killed more than one person.&#8221;</p>
<p>Trump concluded with his plan to solve the problem: and executive order that would direct newly-sworn-in Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin to pay TSA agents immediately.</p>
<p>&#8220;Because the Democrats have recklessly created a true National Crisis, I am using my authorities under the Law to protect our Great Country, as I always will do!&#8221; he explained. &#8220;Therefore, I am going to sign an Order instructing the Secretary of Homeland Security, Markwayne Mullin, to immediately pay our TSA Agents in order to address this Emergency Situation, and to quickly stop the Democrat Chaos at the Airports. It is not an easy thing to do, but I am going to do it! I want to thank our hardworking TSA Agents and also, ICE, for the incredible help they have given us at the Airports. I will not allow the Radical Left Democrats to hold our Country hostage any longer.&#8221;</p>
<p>Democrats have repeatedly voted against funding for DHS, demanding reforms to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) before they will sign off on the package. Among their demands are judicial warrants for immigration enforcement actions and a ban on masks for federal immigration agents. The resulting partial government shutdown has impacted pay for the TSA in addition to the U.S. Coast Guard and several others agencies.</p>

<p>Touting the success of &#8220;The Haute Potato Collection&#8221; at New York City&#8217;s Fashion Week — a collection based on the iconic potato sack dress worn by actress Marilyn Monroe in 1951 — PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk promised the first lady a reimagined — and far more glamorous — potato sack creation for the White House&#8217;s Easter festivities.</p>
<p>&#8220;We would be delighted to present you with a unique dress created from vintage Idaho potato sacks—like those recently featured during New York Fashion Week (inspired by the potato sack dress famously worn by Marilyn Monroe) if you’ll redesign the White House Easter Egg Roll to become the White House Easter <em>Potato</em> Roll, a fabulously modern move,&#8221; Newkirk wrote.</p>
<p>She went on to note that Trump had the opportunity to influence the way people looked at Easter eggs going forward — and could open the door for more families viewing potatoes as a reasonable alternative.</p>
<p>&#8220;As first lady, you have tremendous influence to elevate and reimagine outdated customs such as this and to add a patriotic angle that has been lacking,&#8221; Newkirk continued, arguing that potatoes could be dyed and decorated in the same way that eggs have been — and that they lend themselves to additional activities — &#8220;like sack races and &#8216;hot potato&#8217; games.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Swapping out eggs for potatoes would feel not only patriotic and familiar but also delightfully new, offering children the same hands-on fun while reflecting the core Christian value of kindness to all creation in the time of Easter renewal and joy,&#8221; she added.</p>
<p>The annual Easter Egg Roll typically uses approximately 30,000 hard-boiled eggs, most of which are small to medium in size and not usually packaged for retail. They are donated for the event by the American Egg Board.</p>

<p>Loyola University Chicago&#8217;s student newspaper, The Loyola Phoenix, <a href="https://nypost.com/2026/03/25/us-news/loyolas-student-newspaper-issues-apology-over-sheridan-gorman-story/">issued an apology</a> and a lengthy editor&#8217;s note after initially identifying the suspect in freshman Sheridan Gorman&#8217;s murder as an &#8220;illegal immigrant.&#8221;</p>
<p>The paper&#8217;s original headline read, &#8220;Immigrant man charged in murder of Sheridan Gorman, DHS involved&#8221; — and the story correctly identified suspect Jose Medina-Medina as an &#8220;illegal immigrant.&#8221; Medina-Medina, 25, is a Venezuelan national who the Department of Homeland Security said had been &#8220;living in the United States illegally.&#8221;</p>
<p>The paper later edited the story to identify Medina-Medina as simply a &#8220;Rogers Park Resident,&#8221; and included a lengthy editor&#8217;s note apologizing for the previous characterization.</p>
<p>&#8220;That headline didn’t reflect the most important elements in the story, and it was taken down minutes later to prevent any further harm to affected community members,&#8221; the note read. &#8220;Additionally, in the body of the original post, we described the man who was charged as an ‘illegal immigrant,’ using language provided by the Department of Homeland Security. That language does not align with Associated Press style, nor does it align with the values of this newspaper &#8230; No human’s existence is illegal, and we quickly changed our wording to reflect that.&#8221;</p>
<p>The White House issued a statement on the murder, blaming liberal sanctuary city policies that protect illegal aliens in cities like Chicago: &#8220;A preventable tragedy. Sheridan Gorman was murdered by an illegal alien released into the U.S. in 2023 under the Biden administration — a direct result of failed border &amp; sanctuary city policies.&#8221;</p>
<p>When a reporter asked Democratic Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson whether he&#8217;d apologize to Gorman&#8217;s parents — for the sanctuary policies that had allowed Medina-Medina to live in Chicago — he opted instead to point the finger at President Donald Trump: &#8220;He points the finger at everything and everyone else versus doing some real self-reflection on what his responsibility is.&#8221;</p>

<p>Whoopi Goldberg took a moment during Wednesday&#8217;s broadcast of &#8220;The View&#8221; to lecture War Secretary Pete Hegseth about what it means to be a soldier, arguing that he &#8220;should know&#8221; what he was subjecting service members to when they deployed to the Middle East.</p>
<p>Goldberg and her cohosts insisted, as they have previously, that President Donald Trump&#8217;s administration launched Operation Epic Fury and unleashed American military force on the Iranian regime without first planning for contingencies. That, she complained, meant that he was &#8220;sending people in to die.&#8221;</p>

<p>After first asserting that the United States was manipulating the numbers to hide the number of American troops who were already deployed to the Middle East and the number of those who had been hurt or killed, Goldberg asserted that there was still no plan in place to bring Operation Epic Fury to an end.</p>
<p>&#8220;At this point, at this point, I want them to stop what they&#8217;re doing. They are sending people in to die. They are sending people in to die and I&#8217;m surprised because Hegseth served,&#8221; Goldberg said, suggesting that because American troops were in harm&#8217;s way, Hegseth could not possibly have planned the operation.</p>
<p>&#8220;Yes, he did,&#8221; Sunny Hostin agreed.</p>
<p>&#8220;He served. He should know what —&#8221; Goldberg said.</p>
<p>Cohost Abby Huntsman added, &#8220;He should know better than anybody.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Yes, better than any body, but when you listen to [Hegseth] — Stop looking so angry! He should know more than anybody what it takes to be a soldier in our Army,&#8221; Goldberg explained, adding, &#8220;What it means when you send people in. When you send them in with a plan, it&#8217;s horrific. You send them in without a plan, you willy-nilly and you&#8217;re not explaining what&#8217;s going on.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Fathers, mothers, daughters, sisters, brothers, these are all our American citizens who are being asked to do this. And because, because of the way the military is, they will do what they&#8217;re asked to do,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;Damn it, I&#8217;d rather this were in the hands of people who actually cared about them enough to say, &#8216;I&#8217;m going to do everything I can for you to be not in a place where you could be killed.'&#8221;</p>
