NewsNation anchor Chris Cuomo called on Democrats to resist the temptation to impeach President Donald Trump if they win control of either the House or the Senate in the fast-approaching 2026 midterm elections.
Cuomo addressed the issue during Tuesday&#8217;s broadcast of &#8220;The Chris Cuomo Project,&#8221; saying that however likely it seemed that Democrats might come out ahead, it would be in the country&#8217;s best interest for them to show a little restraint.

&#8220;Where is he in terms of how he should be feeling about the midterms?&#8221; Cuomo asked in reference to the president — and then pantomimed something apparently intending to show nerves or panic.
&#8220;Did you hear what Ted Cruz said to him reportedly, allegedly?&#8221; Cuomo continued. &#8220;‘You’re going to lose House seats and Senate seats and they’re going to impeach you every day.’ Now, I really hope that last part doesn’t happen. Why? You don’t have the votes to remove him.”
&#8220;It is a political process — impeachment. Okay? Removal is a straight up and down vote, you do not have — not up and down, it&#8217;s not 50 plus one,&#8221; he said. &#8220;You do not have the votes you need to remove him. It will not happen. So, why put us through it? And any high-minded idea you give us, I just point you to the last two and see if that helped the country in any way.&#8221;
Cuomo is not the only one talking about impeachment as Democrats ramp up the fight for congressional control.
Rep. Al Green (D-TX) has already filed articles of impeachment, as has Rep. Shri Thanedar (D-MI) — and The Hill ran an <a href="https://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/5726969-trump-impeachment-restore-constitutional-faith/">opinion piece</a> on Monday calling not only for impeachment, but for Democrats to pack the Supreme Court as well.
Former House Speaker <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nancy-pelosi-says-democrats-shouldnt-try-to-impeach-trump-again">Nancy Pelosi</a> (D-CA) walked a finer line on the issue during a recent interview, cautioning members of her party to make sure that they only proceeded on a possible impeachment if they had good reason to do so. Pelosi did not indicate what constituted a good reason.
&#8220;That’s not an incidental thing you say — ‘We’re going to [impeach].’ No, there has to be cause,” Pelosi said at the time. “There has to be reason.”

Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson suggested on Tuesday that her decision to attend the star-studded 2026 Grammy Awards was really just her way of getting &#8220;out into the community&#8221; while the Court was on hiatus.
Jackson joined the cohosts on ABC&#8217;s midday talk show &#8220;The View,&#8221; where she was primarily promoting the young adult version of her memoir, but the conversation turned to her appearance at the awards show and Republicans who&#8217;d criticized her for attending.

An elected Democrat who is still facing federal charges for assaulting federal law enforcement officers sat opposite acting ICE Director Todd Lyons on Tuesday and demanded to know whether he believed he would &#8220;go to hell.&#8221;
Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) addressed Lyons directly during a Tuesday hearing of the House Committee on Homeland Security on Capitol Hill, and she quickly crossed the line to such a degree that Committee Chairman Andrew Garbarino (R-NY) had to step in and admonish her.

&#8220;Of course not,&#8221; McIver said again, her words drawn out and exaggerated. &#8220;How many government —&#8221;
&#8220;The gentlelady will suspend. The gentlelady will suspend. As I — the gentlelady will suspend,&#8221; Garbarino interjected as McIver attempted to talk over him. &#8220;As I said, the issues that we&#8217;re debating here are important ones that members feel deeply about. While vigorous disagreement is part of the legislative process, members are reminded that we must adhere to established standards of decorum and debate.&#8221;
Garbarino went on to remind McIver that the witnesses testifying at Tuesday&#8217;s hearing were there voluntarily and should be treated with respect.
&#8220;Oversight is important,&#8221; he continued, adding, &#8220;Aggressively attacking those witnesses personally is inappropriate and not in keeping with the traditions of our committee.&#8221;
McIver, instead of taking the exit ramp, opted to dig the hole deeper: &#8220;Mr. Chairman, I&#8217;m just asking a question. You — all you guys — are always talking about religion here and the Bible. I mean, it&#8217;s okay for me to ask a question, right? But let me continue on, I got your notes.&#8221;
Turning back to Lyons, McIver asked for the number of government agencies that &#8220;routinely kill American citizens and still get funding.&#8221;
&#8220;Ma&#8217;am, I&#8217;m not going to entertain that —&#8221; Lyons replied.
&#8220;Of course you&#8217;re not,&#8221; McIver stretched her words again for emphasis. &#8220;Exactly. Once again, questions that you cannot answer.&#8221;
McIver then ran out the clock with a stump speech on all the reasons she believed ICE should be abolished in its entirety.
The New Jersey Democrat still <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/feds-charge-new-jersey-democrat-over-clash-with-agents-at-ice-facility">faces federal charges</a> for assault and for impeding federal law enforcement. McIver, along with several other New Jersey Democrats, was caught on video getting into a physical altercation with federal law enforcement officers outside an ICE detention facility in Newark, New Jersey, in May 2025.

Regular CNN analyst Bakari Sellers veered into Nazi territory when he referred to President Donald Trump as a &#8220;cancer&#8221; and suggested that the president&#8217;s voters were vermin or even demons who needed to be completely eradicated from the United States.

&#8220;You know, Joe Biden was somewhat of a bridge, he was supposed to be a bridge,&#8221; Sellers began, suggesting that former President Joe Biden&#8217;s election had been a means to an end — the tolerable middle ground that would allow the country to break away from Trump&#8217;s first administration and pave the way toward a real Democratic movement.
&#8220;A palate cleanser, or somebody who morally and ethically was antithetical to who Donald Trump was,&#8221; Sellers continued. &#8220;You know, Uncle Joe was the nice guy, an older white guy comes in and you want to eat ice cream with him, right?&#8221;
But then Sellers went on to say that President Trump&#8217;s decisive victory in 2024 had proved that using Biden as a &#8220;palate cleanser&#8221; had not been enough to put an end to the Trump&#8217;s support and clear the way for Democrats moving forward. He made no move to recognize that Biden may have failed to move the needle because he was not an effective leader, nor did he raise the possibility that Trump had coasted to reelection in 2024 because former Vice President Kamala Harris had not been a strong candidate.
Instead, Sellers responded to that assessment by arguing in favor of taking more drastic measures to &#8220;cleanse&#8221; the nation&#8217;s palate of its taste for Trump, comparing the president&#8217;s supporters to vermin that required &#8220;fumigation&#8221; and even demons in desperate need of an &#8220;exorcism.&#8221;
&#8220;I think what that episode in our country&#8217;s history showed us is that we really need some fumigation, right? We need a — a — exorcism, for lack of a better term,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We need a more aggressive approach to go in and surgically remove the cancer that is the Donald Trump and MAGA movement.&#8221;

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) trolled Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA) over the high-speed rail project that has been steadily rising in cost despite showing little progress over the course of nearly two decades.
Newsom jabbed at the TSA first, boasting in a press conference that nearly 11 years after the project&#8217;s 2015 ground-breaking, 463 miles of the planned route were finally ready for construction to begin — and saying that eventually, passengers on his high-speed rail would not have to suffer the indignity of removing their shoes to travel.
&#8220;While Texas canceled its project, California keeps building,&#8221; Newsom&#8217;s Press Office posted, neglecting to mention the fact that while Texas had canceled due to skyrocketing costs, California had simply opted to pass the added cost on to investors and depend on government grants. &#8220;463 miles are now ready for construction. We’re past the hardest part, and we’re finishing the job.&#8221;
&#8220;High-speed rail means no TSA lines, no removing your shoes — just fast, clean travel,&#8221; the post read.
The TSA pointed out that airline passengers had not been required to remove their shoes while passing through airport security since July of 2025 — and noted that while getting 463 miles of planned route ready for construction was certainly an accomplishment, the trains were not yet ready to leave the station.

The California high-speed rail project, touted by then-Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) and originally approved in 2008, has long been viewed as a boondoggle of astronomical proportions. The initial budget was estimated at $33 billion, and was supposed to be completed by 2020. Initial passenger service was scheduled to begin in 2022.
Instead, over the course of 18 years, the price tag has ballooned to more than $135 billion and the ground along the proposed route is only just now &#8220;ready&#8221; for construction to begin. Passenger service has been delayed until sometime between 2030 and 2033.
In July of 2017, President Donald Trump announced that his administration was terminating some $4 billion in federal funding for the project: &#8220;To the law-abiding, tax-paying, hardworking citizens of the United States of America, I am thrilled to announce that I have officially freed you from funding California’s disastrously overpriced, ‘HIGH SPEED TRAIN TO NOWHERE.'&#8221;

In the weeks preceding the Super Bowl, the prevailing narrative was that conservatives and Christians objected to Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny headlining the Super Bowl halftime show because he occasionally wears dresses and performs solely in Spanish — but a closer look at his lyrics tell another tale entirely.
The Daily Wire&#8217;s own Megan Basham shared screenshots of some of Bad Bunny&#8217;s lyrics in an X post, most of which were graphic depictions of body parts, sex acts, drug use, and drug use during sex acts.
&#8220;These are the most obscene lyrics ever to be performed at a Super Bowl half time. And you have professing Christians in the Kentucky senate and at America’s most recognized evangelical magazine saying Christians should have embraced and celebrated this to show love and to show that we are welcoming. Also, the kids would get a &#8216;kick&#8217; out of hearing this Spanish,&#8221; Basham commented.
And while some argued that Bad Bunny had not performed the songs posted by Basham in their entirety — and had thus not delivered some of the most obscene lyrics from the stage at Super Bowl 60 — the horse was already out of the barn, so to speak.

Two prominent Democrats — one in the House and one in the Senate — spoke out on Sunday against a move suggested by President Donald Trump even though both championed a similar move five years earlier when their party was in control.
For those who don&#8217;t spend their Sunday mornings glued to the television — and their Sunday afternoons attempting to dig through a week&#8217;s worth of network and cable news media spin — The Daily Wire has compiled a short summary of what you may have missed.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) and Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA) both responded to President Trump&#8217;s wild suggestion that Republicans should &#8220;nationalize&#8221; voting, saying that laws dictating election procedures, constitutionally speaking, belonged to the individual states.
Trump sparked the debate with an apparently off-the-cuff comment during an interview with former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino, when he said of the illegal aliens who&#8217;d flooded into the United States through former President Joe Biden&#8217;s open border, &#8220;If we don’t get them out, Republicans will never win another election.&#8221;

The White House later explained that Trump had been referring to states where he believed election fraud was a real problem, and the president has not previously pushed the notion of &#8220;nationalizing&#8221; voting — but that did not stop Jeffries and Schiff from running with the idea as if he had.
The House Minority Leader joined CNN anchor Dana Bash to discuss the situation on &#8220;State of the Union,&#8221; and she began by noting that Republicans had argued that passing the SAVE Act — which would require all voters in the United States to show proof of citizenship at the polls — was the best way to prevent voter fraud in any state.
&#8220;I understand that you don&#8217;t support things like a passport, for example,&#8221; Bash began. &#8220;But requiring basic ID in order to vote is really popular. A Pew poll from a few months ago showed 83% of Americans, including 71% of your fellow Democrats, support requiring an ID to vote. Why are they wrong?&#8221;
&#8220;I haven&#8217;t said that they&#8217;re wrong,&#8221; Jeffries insisted before explaining why he was still opposed to the measure. &#8220;We know that states are the ones that are empowered to conduct elections, and every state should be allowed to decide the best way to proceed to ensure that there&#8217;s a free and fair election.&#8221;
&#8220;The question is that — what Republicans are trying to do is to engage in clear and blatant voter suppression,&#8221; he added. &#8220;They know that if there&#8217;s a free and fair election in November, they&#8217;re going to lose! In fact, Republicans have been losing every single election since Donald Trump was sworn in in January of last year, including most recently, decisively, in Texas.&#8221;
Bash pressed again, asking whether it would be worth it, since Democrats favor voter ID laws as well, to &#8220;take that off the table&#8221; as a point of contention: &#8220;Maybe not a passport or a birth certificate, but show ID.&#8221;
&#8220;Every state is empowered to be able to make the decision on their own,&#8221; Jeffries protested. &#8220;What Donald Trump wants to do is try to nationalize the election. Translation: steal it. And we&#8217;re not going to let it happen.&#8221;

Schiff took a similar tone with &#8220;This Week&#8221; host Jonathan Karl, who asked the California Senator to explain what the president meant when he&#8217;d told Bongino he wanted to &#8220;nationalize&#8221; voting in certain places.
&#8220;Senator, what does he mean? What do you think he means?&#8221; Karl asked.
&#8220;I think he fully intends to subvert the elections,&#8221; Schiff declared. &#8220;He will do everything he can to suppress the vote.&#8221;
Schiff, who still has not provided the evidence he claimed to have regarding President Trump and Russian collusion, went on to insist that Trump would take action if he did not like how the elections played out: &#8220;He&#8217;s prepared to try to take some kind of action to overturn the result, and we really shouldn&#8217;t question that.&#8221;

And yet both Jeffries and Schiff were all in when their own party pushed for national control over elections via 2021&#8217;s H.R. 1 — laughably nicknamed the &#8220;For the People Act.&#8221;
The bill&#8217;s purpose, according to the Democrats who wrote it, sounded reasonable enough: &#8220;To expand American&#8217;s access to the ballot box, reduce the influence of big money in politics, strengthen ethics rules for public servants, and implement other anti-corruption measures for the purpose of fortifying our democracy and for other purposes.&#8221;
But as former Manager of Election Law Reform Initiative at The Heritage Foundation Hans Von Spakovsky explained, what <a href="https://www.heritage.org/election-integrity/heritage-explains-if-hr-1-passes">the bill would actually</a> have done was pretty much the exact opposite of what its stated &#8220;purpose&#8221; suggested.
&#8220;A better description of it is that this bill would be a federal takeover and nationalization of the running and administration of elections, basically taking it away from the states,&#8221; he said.

Two top Democrats put in some extra effort to oppose voter identification initiatives — even as polling indicates that a broad majority of their own voters favor the policy.
Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) joined ABC&#8217;s Jonathan Karl and CNN&#8217;s Dana Bah, respectively, to explain why they have continued to oppose a policy that has overwhelming support from both parties and across multiple demographics.
On &#8220;This Week,&#8221; Karl referenced a recent Pew Research Center poll in which 83% of respondents said they would support voter identification requirements — and that when broken down by party, 95% of Republicans and 71% of Democrats would support such measures.
&#8220;Is that something that you can support? And if not, why?&#8221; Karl asked.
&#8220;It&#8217;s still going to be something, Jonathan, it&#8217;s still going to be something that disenfranchises people that don&#8217;t have the proper Real ID, driver&#8217;s license ID that don&#8217;t have the ID necessary to vote even though they are citizens,&#8221; Schiff claimed. &#8220;This is another way to simply try to suppress the vote. And the last thing I think we want to do is discourage more people, more citizens from voting.&#8221;

On CNN&#8217;s &#8220;state of the Union,&#8221; Jeffries could easily have been reading from the same script as Schiff as he responded to a similar lines of questioning from anchor Dana Bash.

&#8220;I haven&#8217;t said that they&#8217;re wrong,&#8221; Jeffries insisted before explaining why he was still opposed to the measure. &#8220;We know that states are the ones that are empowered to conduct elections, and every state should be allowed to decide the best way to proceed to ensure that there&#8217;s a free and fair election.&#8221;
&#8220;The question is that — what Republicans are trying to do is to engage in clear and blatant voter suppression,&#8221; he added.
Neither one explained why it was &#8220;suppression&#8221; to require voters to have the same kind of identification already required for people who want to purchase alcohol or cigarettes, travel by air, open a bank account, pick up a prescription, or receive government benefits — among other things.

American downhill skier Lindsey Vonn was airlifted from the slopes in Cortina D&#8217;Ampezzo, Italy, after a devastating crash just a few seconds into her downhill run on Sunday.
Vonn, a three-time Olympic medalist in the sport, had opted to compete despite rupturing her the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her left knee a week prior to the start of the Winter Olympic Games, and had successfully completed a training run on the course one day prior — but just after the start of her race on Sunday, she hooked her right arm into a gate on the course. She attempted to compensate, but catching her arm had thrown off her balance enough that she was <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/olympics/2026/02/08/womens-downhill-results-highlights-lindsey-vonn/88568928007/">unable to recover</a>.
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Z08Foql49w">She fell</a> first to one side, and then face first into the snow. She could be heard screaming from the course as medics rush to where she lay face down, and she remained on the course with first responders at her side for about 13 minutes until a helicopter arrived to transport her out.

&#8220;That definitely was the last thing we wanted to see and it happened quick and when that happens, you&#8217;re just immediately hoping she&#8217;s okay. And it was scary because when you start to see the stretchers being put out, it&#8217;s not a good sign,&#8221; Vonn&#8217;s sister <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4poD06FlaAg">Karin Kildow</a> told NBC News just after the crash. &#8220;But she really &#8230; she just dared greatly and she put it all out there. So it&#8217;s really hard to see, but we just really hope she&#8217;s okay. She does have all of her surgeons and her PT staff here and her doctors, so I&#8217;m sure they&#8217;ll give us a report and we&#8217;ll meet her at whatever hospital she&#8217;s at.&#8221;
The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team issued a brief statement via X, saying, &#8220;Lindsey Vonn fell in the Olympic downhill and will be evaluated by medical staff.&#8221;
&#8220;We don&#8217;t know anything really yet,&#8221; Team USA’s Head Speed Coach Paul Kristofic <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/sports/olympics/live-blog/2026-winter-olympics-live-updates-lindsey-vonn-compete-downhill-injury-rcna256599"> told reporters</a>. &#8220;She&#8217;s with a medical team in the hospital. She&#8217;s getting evaluated right now in Cortina. And then, obviously, depending on the severeness of the injury, they&#8217;re going to make decisions where to put her.&#8221;
Vonn&#8217;s teammate Bella Wright commented on the devastating turn of events, saying, &#8220;Things just happen so quick in this sport. It looked like Lindsey had incredible speed out of that turn, and she hooked her arm and it&#8217;s just over just like that.&#8221;
Teammate Breezy Johnson ultimately took gold in the downhill event, but her thoughts were with Vonn even as she went to receive her own medal.
&#8220;I can&#8217;t imagine the pain that she&#8217;s going through. And it&#8217;s not the physical pain. We can deal with physical pain, but the emotional pain is something else. I wish her the best and I hope that this isn&#8217;t the end,&#8221; Johnson said, likely reflecting on her own experience missing the Beijing Olympics herself after crashing in Cortina, Italy. &#8220;I hope for the best for her. My heart aches for her. It&#8217;s such a brutal sport sometimes.&#8221;
During a news conference, Johnson said she&#8217;d been told that Vonn was <a href="https://people.com/lindsey-vonn-cheered-breezy-johnson-from-helicopter-after-crash-winter-olympics-2026-11902256">cheering her on</a> even as the helicopter lifted her away.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent took a swing at liberal media network MS NOW — referring to it by its previous name, MSNBC — prompting laughs from Chairman Tim Scott (R-SC) along with several others in Thursday&#8217;s Senate Banking Committee hearing.
Bessent was taking questions from the committee on the economy during President Donald Trump&#8217;s first year in office, and he made the argument that public sentiment — and consumer confidence — could easily be influenced by dishonest media narratives.

Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE) noted that consumer confidence did not appear to match the numbers coming from recent economic reports — and asked Bessent to identify where the disconnect might be and explain what could be done to bring people around.
&#8220;Despite all this progress, we&#8217;re seeing consumer confidence is not really rebounding the way that the economy seems to be,&#8221; Ricketts said. &#8220;In your opinion, what more can we in the Senate be doing with regard to consumer confidence and, you know, obviously, we had 40-year high inflation under the Biden administration. What more could we be doing in the Senate … to be able to help out with confidence … of consumers?&#8221;
&#8220;Other than telling consumers to turn off MSNBC,&#8221; Bessent began, prompting several loud laughs. &#8220;A large part of it is a survey problem, where Democrats vote very low and Republicans are more realistic, and then we end up — what we are seeing —&#8221;
Scott interrupted them to explain that the time had expired for Senator Ricketts and it was time to move on with the hearing.
&#8220;I appreciate your comments, believe me,&#8221; Scott said to Bessent with a chuckle.
Bessent also sparred with Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), who asked him during Thursday&#8217;s hearing whether he agreed with President Donald Trump about the &#8220;affordability crisis&#8221; being a &#8220;hoax.&#8221;
Bessent carefully explained — more than once — that the Trump administration&#8217;s position was not that the affordability crisis was a hoax. He argued instead that the &#8220;hoax&#8221; was a reference to Democrat efforts to spin a real crisis of their own making — during former President Joe Biden&#8217;s administration — as something brand new that was wholly created and owned by President Trump.

Joy Behar strained the imagination with her latest comparison, claiming on &#8220;The View&#8221; that ousted CNN anchor Don Lemon was just like the late World War II General and President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
Behar recalled Eisenhower&#8217;s efforts to document the atrocities of the concentration camps — and then claimed that when Lemon shadowed protesters as they stormed a church in Minneapolis, he was simply making a similar effort to preserve history.

She then pivoted to argue that Lemon — who was captured on video discussing the protest plans with one of the organizers before entering the church — was not there to protest anyway.
&#8220;And he wasn&#8217;t even there protesting. He was there as a journalist,&#8221; she insisted.
&#8220;Correct,&#8221; cohost Sunny Hostin agreed.
&#8220;And I think they want to use him as some kind of an example to intimidate other journalists,&#8221; Behar added, parroting the exact claim made by Lemon after he was arrested in connection with the protest.
&#8220;But, you know, I was reading something the other day about World War II, when the Americans liberated Dachau, after World War II, Dwight D. Eisenhower said take pictures of these concentration camps because years will go by and people will not believe this happened,&#8221; Behar continued. &#8220;So, this administration does not really like somebody like Don Lemon who has a camera, who has a position like we do in a way to speak to the people and tell them what really is going on.&#8221;
But Behar did not explain how Lemon&#8217;s video of protesters disrupting a church service aligned with the photos taken of Jewish Holocaust victims at Eisenhower&#8217;s behest.
&#8220;So, you know, God bless Dwight D. Eisenhower and Don Lemon,&#8221; she concluded.
Critics were not impressed with Behar&#8217;s conclusion, however.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent waged a verbal war on Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) during a Capitol Hill hearing on Wednesday, ultimately asking the California Congresswoman whether it would be possible for her to &#8220;maintain some level of dignity.&#8221;
Waters had spent some of her time leading up to that heated exchange asking whether Bessent would be &#8220;the voice of reason&#8221; and oppose President Donald Trump&#8217;s tariffs.

&#8220;Representative —&#8221; Bessent began, and when it was clear that he intended to give her a longer answer than she&#8217;d asked for, she began to talk over him.
&#8220;Will you be the voice? Will you be the voice? Will you be the voice of reason? Will you be the voice of — yes or no?&#8221; Waters demanded.
&#8220;A study from Wharton University has shown —&#8221; Bessent tried again, but Waters continued interrupting.
&#8220;Reclaiming my time. Reclaiming my time. Reclaiming my time. Reclaiming my time,&#8221; Waters repeated several times. &#8220;Mr. Chair, will you let him know when I ask to reclaim my time —&#8221;
Rep. French Hill, chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, conceded that the time did, in fact, belong to Waters.
&#8220;Ten to 20 million Americans —&#8221; Bessent made one last attempt.
Waters, clearly exasperated, turned to Hill and asked, &#8220;Can you shut him up?&#8221;
&#8220;What about the housing stock for working Americans? And can you maintain some level of dignity?&#8221; Bessent jabbed at Waters, just as Hill announced that Waters&#8217;s time had expired.
Waters objected, but Hill repeated that her time had expired.
&#8220;The gentleman took up my time. I think you should recognize that, Mr. Chair,&#8221; she said.
Bessent also sparred with several other Democrats during Wednesday&#8217;s hearing, including Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-MA), who spent much of his allotted time shouting at the Treasury Secretary. When Bessent did get a chance to speak, he said calmly, &#8220;Could you speak a little louder? I can&#8217;t hear you.&#8221;
&#8220;Yeah, okay,&#8221; was Lynch&#8217;s sarcastic response.
