Fox News Senior White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked Trump about an alert — sent by the federal government to law enforcement offices all across the country — indicating that an encrypted message appeared to originate in Iran shortly after the launch of Operation Epic Fury and may have been designed to activate &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/state-dept-issues-worldwide-caution-alert-amid-report-iran-threatened-trump-with-sleeper-cells">sleeper cells</a>&#8221; already in the United States and other parts of the world.

As the 2026 midterm elections approach, Democrats are fighting to claim the majority in one or both chambers of Congress. But, according to a recent poll, the Democratic Party is polling below almost every key figure and organization — with the exception of the brutal Iranian regime.
<a href="https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/27777984-nbc-news-march-2026-poll-03-08-2024-release-final/">An NBC News poll</a>, published by the legacy news outlet on March 8, asked a number of standard questions regarding the economy, military action in Iran, and the overall performance thus far of President Donald Trump — but it also ranked a number of key figures and organizations based on their net favorability.
The Democratic Party, with a net favorability rating of -22, ranked near the bottom of the list — in fact, only the Iranian regime ranked below the Democrats, albeit with a much lower net favorability of -53. Pope Leo the 14th ranked highest overall with a net favorability of 34.
President Donald Trump (-12) and the Republican Party (-14) were near the middle of the list — and as far as 2028 presidential contenders, Republicans fared far better than Democrats did there as well. Two of the most likely Democratic primary candidates — former Vice President Kamala Harris at -17 and Governor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/feminist-hero-katie-couric-asks-gavin-newsom-if-hes-too-hot-to-be-president-in-hard-hitting-interview">Gavin Newsom</a> (D-CA) at -18 — ranked decidedly lower than current Vice President JD Vance (-11) and Secretary of State Marco Rubio (-7). Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who is rumored to be considering either a presidential bid or a move to unseat Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, was the only Democrat to break into the top half of the list, tying with Vance at -11.
The poll surveyed 1000 registered voters, just over half of whom were female. They were evenly divided along political lines, with 42% saying they leaned Republican, 42% saying they leaned Democrat, and the rest identifying themselves as either independent or other.
As to the other questions, just under half (44%) said they approved of President Trump&#8217;s performance thus far, and 54% disapproved. On border security specifically, the president fared much better, with just over half (53%) approving of his actions and a little less than half (44%) disapproving. On foreign policy, 43% approved and 54% disapproved — a slight shift from one year prior, when 45% approved and 53% disapproved. On the war in Iran, more than one-third (41%) approved of the president&#8217;s actions, and just over half (54%) disapproved.
A number of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/odds-have-gone-plummeting-down-cnn-data-guru-says-democrat-hopes-of-flipping-house-are-fading">polls</a> in recent months have <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/voters-abandon-democrats-support-hits-lowest-level-in-more-than-three-decades-poll">spelled trouble</a> for the Democrats, with one from The Wall Street Journal (in July of 2025) noting that Democrats had sunk to their lowest approval rating in decades, with well over half (63%) holding a negative view of the party.

CNN attempted to do a little damage control on Tuesday after a post coddling two New York City terror suspects — both of whom swore allegiance to the Islamic State after being taken into custody — drew fierce criticism.
The post, which was deleted on Tuesday amid the backlash, read, &#8220;Two Pennsylvania teenagers crossed into New York City Saturday morning for what could’ve been a normal day enjoying the city during abnormally warm weather. But in less than an hour, their lives would drastically change as the pair would be arrested for throwing homemade bombs.&#8221;
The network was roundly mocked for characterizing the pair — one of whom said his goal had been to execute an attack more deadly than the Boston Marathon bombing that killed three in 2013 — as regular teenagers who&#8217;d just happened to pick Saturday to throw improvised explosive devices (IEDs) into a crowd of civilians.

&#8220;Wow. ISIS-inspired perpetrators commit a literal terrorist act, and this is what CNN comes up with? Oh, those poor &#8216;Pennsylvania teenagers,&#8217; whose lives have &#8216;drastically changed&#8217; because they made the conscious decision to throw bombs. When will the media stop employing narrative storytelling to infantilize perpetrators of ideologically motivated crimes?&#8221;
After deleting the post, CNN attempted to explain it away with a follow-up: &#8220;A post regarding the two individuals arrested for throwing homemade bombs outside of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s home failed to reflect the gravity of the incident thereby breaching the editorial standards we require for all our reporting. It has therefore been deleted.&#8221;
Edits were also made to the story itself, which had initially included the same descriptions of the perpetrators. The accompanying <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2026/03/10/us/mamdani-gracie-mansion-protest-what-we-know">editor&#8217;s note</a> read, &#8220;A previous version of this story included a summary that does not reflect the gravity of the incident, thereby breaching the editorial standards we require for all our reporting. Whoopi Goldberg and her cohosts on ABC&#8217;s &#8220;The View&#8221; suggested during Tuesday&#8217;s broadcast that President Donald Trump may have started a war with Iran to keep the American people distracted from the Epstein files and the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping case.
Goldberg raised the possibility first, saying it was &#8220;nutty as hell&#8221; that a major military conflict — involving a known bad actor and American interests and allies in the Middle East — was sucking up all the oxygen in the media space and arguing that it was an intentional play to redirect public focus.

Middletown Township, a suburb that sits just northwest of Philadelphia, is located in Bucks County — the same general area from which bombing suspects Emir Balat, 18, and Ibrahim Kayumi, 19, had come.
The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/fbi-opens-terror-probe-after-homemade-bombs-in-nyc-linked-to-isis">FBI&#8217;s Joint Terrorism Task Force</a> has taken over the investigation after both suspects pledged allegiance to and claimed they&#8217;d gotten their inspiration from the Islamic State. According to authorities, Balat also told law enforcement that he&#8217;d intended to inflict more damage than the Boston Marathon bombers, lamenting the fact that they had only killed three people.
The type of explosives used in the bombs recovered on the scene in New York City, Triacetone Triperoxide (TATP), is favored in terrorist circles and has been nicknamed &#8220;Mother of Satan.&#8221; Reports have not indicated whether the explosives detonated by the FBI at the Pennsylvania storage unit were the same type.
New York City has been at the center of several scares in recent days, with law enforcement blocking off part of the Upper East Side on Sunday when a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nyc-terror-scare-deepens-as-bomb-squad-races-to-new-threat-near-mayors-mansion">suspicious device</a> was found in a vehicle near where the suspects had first attacked.
On Monday, Attorney General Pam Bondi <a href="https://x.com/AGPamBondi/status/2031057686675206571">announced</a> charges against Balat and Kayumi, whom she called &#8220;the two alleged ISIS-inspired terrorists,&#8221; adding, &#8220;We will not allow ISIS&#8217;s poisonous, anti-American ideology to threaten this nation.&#8221;

Trump said that he’d posed the question to military leadership, asking whether the ships would even have been worth keeping: &#8220;I said, &#8216;What quality of ship?&#8217;”

Trump also said on Monday that he believed the war was more or less finished — or at the very least, was far ahead of his original four-to-six week timeline.
“Think of it, they had leaders and they’re gone, and they had new leaders and they’re gone,” Trump added. “And now nobody has any idea who the people are that are going to be the head of the country.”

American military action in Iran has entered its second week — and the political war at home is in full swing. Democrats and legacy media are racing to brand President Donald Trump the architect of yet another “forever war,” accusing him of violating the Constitution and demanding he seek congressional approval if he wants to continue bombing Iran.
For those who don&#8217;t spend their weekends glued to the television — and their Sunday afternoons attempting to dig through a week&#8217;s worth of network and cable news media spin — The Daily Wire has compiled a short summary of what you may have missed.
In addition to complaining about Trump taking action without first getting the support of Congress, the key note struck by legacy media outlets was the notion that war with Iran — which has thus far lasted just over a week — will necessarily snowball into the same kind of long, drawn-out affair the United States saw in Iraq and Afghanistan: a &#8220;forever war.&#8221;
To kick off the weekend, Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA) sat down with HBO host and comedian <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-bill-maher-tricks-adam-schiff-who-thought-he-was-criticizing-donald-trump">Bill Maher</a>, where he repeated the same refrain being sung by most Democrats: Trump must first go to Congress.
Maher quickly laid a rhetorical trap for the lawmaker: &#8220;This statement from the administration: ‘The president had the constitutional authority to direct the use of military force because he could reasonably determine that such use of force was in the national interest.’ That’s too vague for you?”
“Totally vague,” Schiff agreed.
Maher dropped the other shoe then, saying, “OK. Because that’s from Obama about Libya.”
Schiff scrambled, saying that then-President Barack Obama had taken the issue to Congress when he wanted to take action in Syria in 2013. He ignored Obama&#8217;s 2011 actions in Libya entirely, largely because the Obama administration continued those actions for months without ever getting congressional approval.
By Sunday morning, the narrative had shifted to focus on whether or not Iran would be another &#8220;forever war.&#8221;
On ABC&#8217;s &#8220;This Week,&#8221; anchor Martha Raddatz spoke with correspondent Ian Pannell about the objectives — which they said were thus far unclear — and suggested that it would be difficult to evaluate whether the U.S. and Israeli coalition had &#8220;won,&#8221; and if so, when.

On CNN&#8217;s &#8220;State of the Union,&#8221; anchor Jake Tapper pressed Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) on his vow to vote against funding for any military action in Iran.

Liberal comedian Walter Masterson stood in front of Gracie Mansion, home of Democratic socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, and shouted at anti-Islam protesters, &#8220;We welcome everyone!&#8221; Seconds later, terror suspect Emir Balat threw a bomb over his head into the crowd.
Masterson, a Democratic comedian and political satirist, posted video from the incident that took place on Saturday — an incident that is being investigated by the FBI&#8217;s Joint Terrorism Task Force after both suspects professed their allegiance to ISIS upon being apprehended.
&#8220;I was in the middle of saying &#8216;as a born and raised New Yorker, we welcome everyone into this city&#8217; when he threw that over my head,&#8221; Masterson commented on the video.

&#8220;We were born and raised in New York, and we want everyone to stay in New York,&#8221; he said into a megaphone, shouting at the protesters gathered there. &#8220;You don&#8217;t get to come from outside and then tell everyone else —&#8221;
As he was speaking, someone else began to scream. Masterson appeared to instinctively duck down slightly, at which point Emir Balat — one of the suspects who was quickly apprehended — ran right up behind him and tossed something over his head.
People responded to Masterson&#8217;s video, suggesting that maybe he&#8217;d learned a valuable lesson that day – but Masterson, who claimed that he hadn&#8217;t been scared because the bomb looked fake, doubled down: &#8220;I’m the guy who didn’t run when a bomb was thrown over his head, I also didn’t become a xenophobic bigot.&#8221;
Masterson attempted to justify Balat&#8217;s actions — because he was targeting January 6th defendant Jake Lang — saying in an <a href="https://x.com/waltermasterson/status/2031066754928054611">X post</a>, &#8220;A terrorist jumped over my shoulder to throw an explosive at a pardoned terrorist from January 6th.&#8221;
In what appears to be a bizarre coincidence, Masterson appeared three years earlier at a school board meeting in the <a href="https://nypost.com/2026/03/09/us-news/parents-of-alleged-nyc-bomb-thrower-own-2-5m-home-are-naturalized-citizens-from-afghanistan/?utm_medium=social&amp;utm_campaign=nypost&amp;utm_source=twitter">Pennsylvania community</a> from which the New York City suspects had come.
There to mock parents concerned about pornographic materials in school libraries and LGBTQ propaganda flooding classrooms, Masterson pretended to be a concerned conservative parent and complained about, among other things, a book that showed two penguins holding hands.
He also claimed that &#8220;The Giving Tree&#8221; was an overt reference to communism, and argued that all PRIDE flags should be replaced with copies of the Declaration of Independence: &#8220;It&#8217;s not just a piece of paper, it&#8217;s a map that leads to a treasure of Templar gold. That is why Nicolas Cage tried to steal it. As these liberals try to steal our Constitution the only way to stop it is to steal it first.&#8221;

The FBI is reportedly looking at an attempted bombing in New York City as a potential act of terror after at least one of the suspects — who wielded a homemade bomb at a protest outside Gracie Mansion the day before — claimed that he had been inspired by ISIS.
NBC News correspondent Tom Winter reported on Sunday that one of the suspects referenced ISIS directly in statements to law enforcement after his apprehension, prompting the terror probe.
CNN reported that both suspects admitted to being &#8220;inspired by ISIS,&#8221; but said that officials do not believe that there is a connection between the New York City attack and the military action unfolding in Iran.

&#8220;Law enforcement sources [are] also telling us that the two suspects that were arrested in relation to those explosive devices have admitted to being inspired by ISIS,&#8221; correspondent Gloria Pazmino reported.
According to a report published Sunday by CBS News, the FBI&#8217;s Joint Terrorism Task Force has taken over the investigation into Emir Balat, 18, and Ibrahim Kayumi, 19 — both of whom live in Pennsylvania — after a lab in Quantico confirmed that what appeared to homemade bombs were not &#8220;hoax devices&#8221; but deadly Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) using components that have been seen in previous terror attacks.
The devices, two sources told CBS, contained sports drink bottles filled with explosives that were set inside glass jars packed with nails, bolts, and screws. The explosives were connected to a firework described as an &#8220;M-80-type&#8221; with a fuse.
The sources said that the explosive material inside was called triacetone triperoxide, or TATP, which is a white powder made from two readily available household chemicals: acetone and hydrogen peroxide.
Multiple reports suggest that the investigation is also likely to probe the recent travels of the suspects, both of whom have made extended visits to Istanbul in the last two years. Balat stayed in the Turkish city for months, from early May of 2025 to late August of the same year. Kayumi also traveled to Istanbul, but only stayed for a few weeks in July and August of 2024. He also traveled to Saudi Arabia in March of 2024.
Fox News congressional correspondent Bill Melugin also reported that &#8220;New York City IED suspect Emir Balat’s parents are both from Turkey &amp; were naturalized into US citizens in 2017, while Ibrahim Kayumi’s parents are both from Afghanistan. Mom naturalized in 2009, dad naturalized in 2004.&#8221;
New York City&#8217;s Democratic socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/mamdani-breaks-silence-after-nypd-confirms-bomb-was-used-in-terror-attempt">issued a statement</a> about the attack on Sunday, which had taken place as competing protests played out in front of Gracie Mansion.
Mamdani specifically named January 6th defendant Jake Lang — who led a protest of about 20 people — and referred to him as a &#8220;white supremacist,&#8221; saying his demonstration was &#8220;rooted in bigotry and racism&#8221; and was not welcome in New York City.
While he condemned the violent act that followed, he did not mention the names of the terror suspects or their potential inspiration. Instead, he said simply, &#8220;The attempt to use an explosive device and hurt others is not only criminal, it is reprehensible and the antithesis of who we are.&#8221;

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) doubled down on his party&#8217;s opposition to President Donald Trump, vowing on Sunday that Democrats in the U.S. Senate would never &#8220;help&#8221; Republicans to pass the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act.
Despite the fact that the bill&#8217;s main focus — requiring valid proof of citizenship for voter registration — is popular among voters regardless of party, Schumer shared a post on X referring to the SAVE Act as &#8220;Jim Crow 2.0&#8221; and claiming that millions of people would be &#8220;disenfranchised&#8221; if it were to pass.
&#8220;The SAVE Act is Jim Crow 2.0. It would disenfranchise tens of millions of people,&#8221; Schumer <a href="https://x.com/SenSchumer/status/2030666289602072866">complained</a>. &#8220;If Trump is saying he won’t sign any bills until the SAVE Act is passed, then so be it: there will be total gridlock in the Senate. Senate Democrats will not help pass the SAVE Act under any circumstances.&#8221;
Schumer&#8217;s statement came just hours after Trump <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/front-of-the-line-trump-says-he-wont-sign-a-thing-until-save-act-hits-his-desk">announced</a> early Sunday that he intended to prioritize the SAVE Act — nicknamed by Republicans the SAVE America Act — and would not sign anything else until he saw it on his desk.
Praising calls for Senate Republicans to use the traditional — &#8220;talking&#8221; — filibuster to force a vote on the measure, Trump said that it had to be the top priority to &#8220;pass THE SAVE AMERICA ACT, an 88% issue with ALL VOTERS.&#8221;
&#8220;It must be done immediately. It supersedes everything else. MUST GO TO THE FRONT OF THE LINE,&#8221; he added. &#8220;I, as President, will not sign other Bills until this is passed.&#8221;
In addition to requiring proof of citizenship — either through a valid passport or a birth certificate — the SAVE Act would dramatically limit online and mail-in voter registration and would reduce mail-in balloting to military service-members or those limited by illness, disability, or travel. States would also be required to routinely examine voter rolls in order to ensure that non-citizens were not being registered to vote. Criminal penalties would apply to any officials who registered voters with improper identification.
Despite the fact that a majority of Americans support voter ID requirements generally (81%) and the SAVE America Act specifically (71%), according to a <a href="https://harvardharrispoll.com/press-release-february-2026/">Harvard Harris poll</a> taken just after Trump&#8217;s State of the Union address, elected Democrats like Schumer have continued to insist that requiring proof of citizenship would necessarily disenfranchise voters who cannot access the proper documents.
The SAVE Act passed the House in February.

FBI agents and airport police worked together to investigate after an unspecified threat caused officials to evacuate sections of Kansas City International Airport in Missouri on Sunday morning.
According to multiple <a href="https://nypost.com/2026/03/08/us-news/kansas-city-international-airport-evacuated-over-threat-as-fbi-cops-swarm-terminal/">reports</a>, hundreds of passengers were evacuated onto the tarmac as investigators closed one terminal, out of &#8220;an abundance of caution,&#8221; and diverted several flights, leaving others — who landed after the threat was received — stranded on the taxiway until they were given the all-clear.

The threat, according to reports, came in at 11:50 a.m. local time and prompted an immediate and complete evacuation of the terminal. Flights did not resume until after 2 p.m. In the interim, airport police and FBI agents conducted sweeps of the terminal.
Passenger Logan Hawley told <a href="https://www.kshb.com/news/crime/kc-aviation-department-aware-of-situation-at-kansas-city-international-airport">reporters</a> that he had been preparing to board a flight to Texas when law enforcement swarmed the terminal: &#8220;Suddenly there was an airport worker saying ‘immediately evacuate,’ people got up fast and rushed out of there.&#8221;
Highway traffic near the airport also faced delays as the Missouri Department of Transportation confirmed temporary road closures at Interstate 29 northbound to Interstate 435 eastbound and the KCI exit ramp.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced the all-clear shortly after 2 p.m. CST, <a href="https://x.com/SecDuffy/status/2030723386511425750">posting</a> on X that the airport would be returning to business as usual. He did not give any details as to the nature of the threat or its resolution.
&#8220;The security incident at @Fly_KansasCity is now clear and normal operations are resuming,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I want to thank law enforcement including the @FBI for their timely response. The safety of passengers, airport staff, and crew members is always our number one priority @FAANews.&#8221;

New York City&#8217;s Democratic socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani broke his silence on Sunday, one full day after protesters shouting &#8220;Allahu Akbar&#8221; tossed two homemade devices into a crowd, after the New York Police Department&#8217;s bomb squad confirmed that the devices were, in fact, lethal.
NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch issued a <a href="https://x.com/NYPDPC/status/2030695186410463401">statement</a> on Sunday declaring that the first device had been determined to be a lethal improvised explosive device (IED), and that further studies would be done to determine whether the same could be said of the second device.
&#8220;The NYPD Bomb Squad has conducted a preliminary analysis of a device that was ignited and deployed at a protest yesterday and has determined that it is not a hoax device or a smoke bomb,&#8221; Tisch stated. &#8220;It is, in fact, an improvised explosive device that could have caused serious injury or death.&#8221;
Tisch said that the second device was still under investigation, and that &#8220;further analysis&#8221; was necessary.
&#8220;Emir Balat and Ibrahim Kayumi were arrested on scene yesterday and are in custody in connection with this matter,&#8221; Tisch continued. &#8220;The NYPD is working on this investigation with our partners at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and the FBI through our Joint Terrorism Task Force. I want to again thank the brave members of the NYPD who ran towards the danger without hesitation and quickly apprehended the suspects.&#8221;
Democratic socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani also released a <a href="https://x.com/NYCMayor/status/2030704552765263946">statement</a> attempting to split the blame between the suspected bombers and the protesters they&#8217;d targeted.
&#8220;Yesterday, white supremacist Jake Lang organized a protest outside Gracie Mansion rooted in bigotry and racism,&#8221; Mamdani complained. &#8220;Such hate has no place in New York City. It is an affront to our city’s values and the unity that defines who we are.&#8221;
&#8220;What followed was even more disturbing. Violence at a protest is never acceptable. The attempt to use an explosive device and hurt others is not only criminal, it is reprehensible and the antithesis of who we are,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;I want to thank the brave men and women of the NYPD who acted quickly to keep New Yorkers safe. Our officers ran toward danger without hesitation, demonstrating once again the courage and dedication it takes to protect this city every single day. My administration is closely monitoring the situation and I remain in close contact with our Police Commissioner.&#8221;
There were two simultaneous and oppositional protests taking place in front of Gracie Mansion — one, led by January 6th defendant Jake Lang, was titled &#8220;Stop the Islamic Takeover of New York City, Stop New York City Public Muslim Prayer&#8221; and drew a crowd of less than two dozen. The second protest, which drew over 100, was labeled &#8220;Run the Nazis out of New York City, Stand Against Hate.&#8221;
The two groups clashed despite being separated by law enforcement, resulting in one from Lang&#8217;s protest being arrested for using pepper spray against protesters from the other group. Tensions escalated further when Balat and Kayumi were arrested in connection with the homemade bombs.
