Michigan Democrat Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed unequivocally answered “yes” when asked whether “Palestine” has a right to exist, but when asked about Israel’s right to exist, he answered that certain conditions had to be met.
The leftist Democrat answered “yes” to the question about “Palestine” without hesitation in a “60 Minutes” interview with Ross Douthat that aired Sunday night. But when Douthat flipped the question to the Jewish state, El-Sayed paused before offering a more complicated answer.
“Yes, if there is a shared understanding,” El-Sayed replied.
“Wait, you said —” Douthat began before El-Sayed cut him off.
“Let me just, let me just … I believe, and this is the problem with this debate, we start from where we sit rather than start from principles. … If the Palestinian people decide — and the Israeli people decide — that they want two states for two people, and they decide that on equal terms, I’m for it. If they decide that they want one state shared in a different way, I’m for that.”
CHECK OUT THE DAILY WIRE MIDTERM HUB
It’s hardly the first time that El-Sayed has tied himself in knots over the question.
Back in May, Jewish Insider obtained a recording from a “Jews for Abdul” event in Pontiac, Michigan, where El-Sayed said he “struggles” with being asked whether Israel has a right to exist as a Jewish state. Rather than answer, he challenged the small crowd to explain how that idea matched with American liberal values. He also accused Israel of apartheid in Judea, Samaria, East Jerusalem, and Gaza.
The Bernie Sanders-backed candidate has drawn heat for other remarks as well. Critics slammed his “hurt people hurt people” remark after a truck rammed into Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, Michigan, along with his campaign appearances with radical streamer Hasan Piker. Another leaked recording captured him telling staff to stay quiet about the U.S.-Israeli strike that killed Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, so as not to upset Dearborn voters.
El-Sayed’s ties to communist streamer Piker is part of what led to his former Democrat primary opponent, Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI), shocking Democrats and endorsing Republican nominee Mike Rogers on Sunday.
In October, El-Sayed brushed off a question from NewsNation’s Leland Vittert about whether Israel or Iran poses the bigger threat to America, calling it “a dumb question.” He blamed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for pushing the United States into war with Iran and complained about American tax dollars flowing to foreign countries. His Republican opponent Mike Rogers, a former House Intelligence Committee chairman, noted that El-Sayed was silent on the October 7 anniversary.
El-Sayed also sparred with Fox News’ Bret Baier over a 2012 letter he signed backing former Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood. The letter urged Morsi to swiftly purge the media and police. El-Sayed accused Baier of questioning his loyalty over his faith, and told the veteran anchor to “be a journalist.”
“I have never been a member of the Muslim Brotherhood,” El-Sayed insisted, calling Republican attacks on his religion “sad and beneath” Rogers and President Trump.
El-Sayed’s half-sister, a University of Chicago professor, posted in 2012 that their family had long been Muslim Brotherhood. His mother once worked for a charity later designated for backing terrorist groups. She was never charged.
Republican senators, including Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Tim Sheehy (R-MT), have raised concerns about El-Sayed getting access to classified intelligence.

The Dallas Morning News published a glowing opinion piece praising Texas Democrat gubernatorial candidate Gina Hinojosa. The author was billed as a “longtime Republican” and former staffer for Republican lawmakers.
There was just one problem: the author was on Hinojosa’s payroll.
After the column ran, writer Suzanne Bellsnyder told the paper she was a paid consultant to the Hinojosa campaign. She hadn’t mentioned that when she submitted the piece or while it was being edited.
The paper published an editor’s note on top admitting it “would have declined to publish” the column had it known, but the column itself is still sitting on the Dallas Morning News website for all to read just before Texans head to the polls.
Heritage Foundation researcher Corey A. DeAngelis found the campaign paid Bellsnyder’s group $57,000, and critics have demanded the Morning News pull the piece entirely.
CHECK OUT THE DAILY WIRE MIDTERM HUB
The column itself reads like a campaign ad. Bellsnyder, who describes herself as a rural newspaper publisher and former GOP legislative staffer, opens with this scene: she was riding shotgun on her dad’s tractor in the Panhandle when Hinojosa entered into her DMs asking for help with a bill to boost oversight of the Texas Education Agency.
Bellsnyder painted the Austin Democrat as a bridge-builder who “started with what we agreed on.” She hammered Abbott for turning his school voucher crusade into a “loyalty test” that purged rural Republicans. She warned that in Texas, the public school is “the beating heart” of the community.
“When Gina reached out to me on that tractor, she began building trust. Politically, we root for different teams. But as two moms, we found that we shared a passion for public education and preparing our kids for the future they deserve. That is the kind of leadership Texas needs,” Bellsnyder concluded.
Hinojosa, a state rep from Austin, won the Democrat primary in March and is trying to unseat Abbott, who is running for a record-setting fourth term on Tuesday.

Leave it to Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed to turn youth sports into a therapy-couch lecture on grievance, privilege, and mommy issues by attacking Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.
El-Sayed portrayed Hegseth as just another over-hyped benchwarmer coasting through life on the unearned high of baked cakes, custom fan-gear, and overbearing suburban parents rewarding mediocrity. El-Sayed even leaned hard into personal pity, whining that as a minority athlete whose folks never showed up, by his account, he at least learned never to take himself seriously.
“Everybody knows that guy from the locker room,” El-Sayed ranted.
CHECK OUT THE DAILY WIRE MIDTERM HUB
He continued:

He would have rode the pine. He probably got to start two games his entire career playing whatever sport he was and it made his life, and his parents came and cheered so hard for him. And as a kid whose parents never came, right, and started every game, part of me is just like, bro, I feel bad for you. Somebody told you a lot better than you really are. Like, there’s something about being a brown kid whose parents, like, you know, no matter what you do, you’re never enough. So what that means is that you never take yourself too seriously. You’re like, I’m never going to be enough. But for him, the very fact that he made the team, his mom was making cake, she was wearing his jersey, she had a cap made for him. You know the type. So I’m like, bro, you grew up thinking that you were somehow special, but you are not. And you have been living off that fume for the rest of your life.

El-Sayed went on this bizarre rant against Pete Hegseth — claiming that Hegseth "rode the pine" in "whatever sport he played" in high school.
He invoked Hegseth's mother (moms are fair game now, huh?), and claimed she was "the type" who would have worn her son's jersey to… pic.twitter.com/YEucHwxyWb
— Chuck Ross (@ChuckRossDC) October 30, 2026

There’s just one glaring problem with El-Sayed’s locker room psychoanalysis: reality completely air-balled him.
Before El-Sayed decided to play varsity shrink, Hegseth was actually tearing up the hardwood. At Forest Lake Area High School in Minnesota, Hegseth wasn’t just a starter; he was a lethal sniper who set school records for career three-pointers, single-season threes, and single-season shooting percentage.
Oh, and he was the class valedictorian to boot, later earning a spot in the school’s athletic hall of fame.
Hegseth then took his talents to Princeton. While he self-deprecatingly called himself a “slow six-footer” and mostly served as a reserve, Hegseth etched his name into team lore during a gritty 2003 clash against Columbia. Coming off the bench, Hegseth nailed two ice-cold three-pointers and dished out the assist for the game-winning basket. Then-Tigers coach John Thompson III praised him as a selfless spark plug who was “nothing but character.”
Meanwhile, what athletic pedestal is El-Sayed looking down from? A glorious collegiate run on the University of Michigan’s club lacrosse squad years before it was even a varsity program. In 2006, he managed to log zero points, zero assists, and zero statistics across 15 whole appearances. A ghost on the stat sheet lecturing an Ivy League champion on athletic grit.
El-Sayed has long treated American athletics as a cesspool of leftist grievances. When he isn’t brooding over Hegseth’s high school support system, he’s churning out boilerplate leftist bilge, penning diatribes about the NFL’s supposed “deep-rooted racism” and lamenting the “toxic masculinity at the heart of America’s most popular sport.”
Perhaps instead of whining about Hegseth’s parents cheering from the stands, the scoreless club lacrosse hero should ask why the Left insists on treating hard work, family encouragement, and clutch athletic performances as personal microaggressions.

NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley slammed LeBron James for practicing his golf swing during the national anthem before the 76ers’ October 20 game against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
“I thought that was very disrespectful, practicing your golf swing in the middle of the anthem,” Barkley said earlier this week. “I always stand for the anthem. I just think it’s important. We live in the greatest country ever.”
Barkley said the anthem deserves respect, even from players who want to make a point.
“This country … not even close to being perfect. It’s a great, great, great country, but it’s not close to being perfect,” he added, “And you can protest, but I think you have to do it very [respectfully]. I really believe that. I look at it, I’m supporting the troops when I stand for the national anthem. I’m standing there for free speech.”
Barkley added that he doesn’t pay attention to what President Donald Trump says on the issue. Trump ripped James two days after cameras caught the basketball star, now a Sixers forward, rehearsing his swing while the “Star-Spangled Banner” played at the Garden.
“While listening to our National Anthem, LeBron James disrespects our Country!” the president wrote. He called the four-time champ “a TOTAL DISGRACE” and demanded an apology to “Great American Warriors and Heroes who died for the American Flag.”
It’s hardly the first time James has drawn fire for knocking the country that made him a billionaire.
In July 2022, while WNBA star Brittney Griner was detained in Russia, James wondered aloud on his show “The Shop” whether Griner would even want to come home.
“How can she feel like America has her back?” he asked.
Former NBA center Enes Kanter Freedom, an outspoken critic of Turkey’s and China’s regimes, quickly hit back. He told James he was “free to leave.”
After the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot, James showed up to the arena in a “Do you understand now” T-shirt. He said black Americans get “a slap in the face” from the nation and that the country looked like a “third, fourth, fifth-world country.”
Critics have long noted the irony. James built a reported $1.4 billion fortune on American soil, including a $154 million Lakers deal in 2018 and a lifetime contract with Nike, a company with deep manufacturing ties to China.
He also drew backlash recently for knocking “stay-at-home” women, saying he couldn’t be with a partner who sits on the couch all day.
Barkley, for his part, has been consistent. During the 2020 wave of anthem kneeling, he defended players who chose to stand.
“If we have a guy who doesn’t want to kneel ’cause the anthem means something to him, he should not be vilified,” Barkley said at the time.

If Ohio Democrat Amy Acton’s campaign trail speeches are anything to go by, someone needs to hand the gubernatorial hopeful a cup of black coffee and check her keys.
Acton looked and sounded utterly wiped out during a Toledo appearance Thursday night, stumbling through her remarks like a reveler who stayed at the bar way past closing time. Not only did she lose her train of thought mid-sentence while trying to say something about truth and justice, but she also spoke of her Republican opponent Vivek Ramaswamy flying overhead “in a Jeep” instead of a jet.
Maybe that’s why Acton has refused to face Ramaswamy on the debate stage. Her campaign claims her debate dodge is because she doesn’t want to “platform” Ramaswamy, calling him a “scam artist who spreads baseless lies about her and her family.” Ramaswamy has agreed to multiple debates.
Yet, the real headache for Buckeye State voters isn’t just Acton’s wobbly delivery; it’s an economic playbook that looks drawn up by someone wobbly.
CHECK OUT THE DAILY WIRE MIDTERM HUB
Acton’s “Act On Lowering Costs” scheme mirrors the same staggering lack of balance. She has rolled out an avalanche of big-ticket promises: massive child cash handouts running upwards of $1,000, blanket medical debt cancellations, and sprawling Medicaid enrollments.
On the energy front, she is demanding stricter green guardrails for data centers while insisting that construction be handed exclusively to union labor.
Nobody seems to know who is picking up the tab for Acton’s economic dreams.
When pressed on the price tag, she offered up vague platitudes about setting “priorities” and tackling “hard choices.”
Critics project her agenda could add $21 billion in spending to Ohio’s budget. With the state pulling in roughly $30 billion in baseline revenue annually, funding a $15 billion debt bailout alongside billions in fresh childcare subsidies would require a huge tax increase.
“Apparently, Amy Acton either does not know – or does not care – that the Ohio Constitution requires us to have a balanced budget every year. Ohio taxpayers do not want to be on the hook for her unaffordable spending spree. Her absurd ‘plan’ is the latest example of how unfit for office she truly is,” Ohio House Finance Committee Chairman Brian Stewart said.
“This is more irresponsible fiscal policy from Democrats that Ohio taxpayers simply cannot afford. It’s beyond reckless,” Ohio Senate Finance Committee Chairman Jerry Cirino echoed.
The Ohio gubernatorial race became even more contentious in the final stretch after Ramaswamy’s campaign released an ad featuring Acton’s estranged mother, who called Acton a liar and accused her of fabricating stories about her childhood. Acton’s campaign condemned Ramaswamy over what it described as an “attempt to platform” her “abusive mother.”

A Maine laundromat owner who has backed Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) for years says she was tricked into starring in a political ad for the Republican’s Democrat opponent.

Kelly Kusnirak, a longtime GOP voter who runs a laundromat in the Scarborough area, told The Maine Wire she was blindsided when her face popped up in a streaming ad boosting Democrat Troy Jackson.

“No, absolutely not. I am not a Troy Jackson supporter at all,” Kusnirak said. “I definitely feel like I was misled because when I did finally see the ad, I was like, oh, wow, look at that banner: Troy Jackson.”
“I feel like I was duped,” Kusnirak added.

Kusnirak said a videographer showed up at her shop last spring and told her that she was shooting footage for the Collins campaign. As a Collins fan, she agreed to sit for the camera.
CHECK OUT THE DAILY WIRE MIDTERM HUB

“I was surprised to see that it was for Troy Jackson. Totally did not expect that. I thought it was going to be for Susan Collins,” she said. “If they’re willing to mislead me, how far will they go? And, you know, when will it end?”

Months later, the clip turned up in a spot paid for by CFFE PAC, the political arm of the D.C.-based Campaign for a Family Friendly Economy. The ad’s disclaimer says it was not authorized by any candidate.

In the ad, Kusnirak, identified on screen as “Kelly, South Portland, ME,” sits in front of a row of washers and dryers and complains about Maine’s cost of living. “Rent is not affordable. Buying a house is not affordable,” she says. An on-screen overlay then blames Collins for rising prices, and the ad cuts to Jackson at a podium urging voters to back him in November.

Kusnirak says the ad blamed the wrong person. She put the blame on Democrats in the State House, where Jackson spent six years as Senate president.

“The economic problems we have in Maine right now are pretty much the result of our legislature in Augusta that has been in control for the past eight years,” she said. “Susan Collins works on the national level, but she always puts Maine first when she makes decisions that affect Maine.”

She added that Collins “does more for Mainers economically on certain issues than the legislature in Augusta has done for any Mainer when it comes to affordability.”

Jackson was not even the Democrat nominee when the footage was shot. He replaced Graham Platner, who dropped out of the race amid sexual assault allegations. A small party convention of a few hundred insiders then picked Jackson. The Robinson Report, which first reported Kusnirak’s story, also brought up reports that Jackson fathered two children with his second cousin.

The PAC behind the ad has plenty of money. It reported $5.32 million in outside spending this cycle, including $647,793 backing Jackson and $829,688 for Sherrod Brown in Ohio. Its biggest donor is Pivotal Ventures, Melinda French Gates’ investment and philanthropy firm, which gave $2 million.

Alaska Republican Gov. Mike Dunleavy ordered the state to launch an investigation into whether a secret Democrat scheme to trick voters violated state laws and should trigger civil or criminal charges.
The governor’s move comes on the heels of an explosive report from The New York Times exposing how Democrat operatives secretly manufactured an operation to get a second Dan Sullivan on the ballot to confuse voters who would support Republican incumbent Dan Sullivan and help Democrat challenger Mary Peltola swipe the crucial Alaska U.S. Senate seat.
“Today’s New York Times reporting reveals disturbing new evidence of an organized effort to manipulate Alaska’s elections by recruiting candidates — including one with the same name as an incumbent U.S. Senator — to deliberately confuse voters and misdirect their votes,” Dunleavy said. “The Alaska Division of Elections investigated these very concerns in June of this year. The new reporting substantially supports the Division’s findings.”
“I am therefore directing the Department of Public Safety to investigate whether this scheme violated Alaska’s laws and whether criminal charges or civil action are warranted. The evidence will determine what happens next,” he added. “Alaskans have a fundamental right to vote for the candidate they actually intend to support. Deliberately tricking voters into casting their ballots for someone else strikes at the integrity of our elections.”
CHECK OUT THE DAILY WIRE MIDTERM HUB
Dunleavy’s order brings the full weight of Alaska law enforcement down on the operation, backing up an initial review by the Alaska Division of Elections. Meanwhile, the Department of Justice, at the direction of President Donald Trump, filed a federal lawsuit to halt certification of the election if the second Dan Sullivan manages to siphon enough GOP tallies to hand the seat to Peltola.
At a rally in Ohio on Wednesday night, Trump called for Peltola and the second Dan Sullivan to be removed from the midterm ballot.
“This is voter fraud at the highest level, and the Democrat candidate who was involved in the scheme, Mary Peltola … she should be removed from the ballot and prosecuted. So should the fake Dan Sullivan,” Trump said.
The dirty-tricks campaign kicked off in the summer of 2025. Facing off against incumbent GOP Sen. Dan S. Sullivan, top Peltola campaign aides sent staffers on a mission to look through voter registries and track down as many registered voters in Alaska named “Dan Sullivan” as possible, the Times reported.
The goal apparently was to siphon votes from the Republican incumbent under Alaska’s open, four-person general election system.
Jerid Kurtz of Ohio, who worked alongside national Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) operatives and Peltola campaign lawyers, used fake aliases, burner phone numbers, and pub meetings to look for potential spoiler candidates, according to the Times.
In a secluded coastal fishing village reachable only by boat or plane, Kurtz found Dan J. Sullivan, a retired schoolteacher who harbored a grudge against Trump and agreed to jump into the contest. Operatives also reportedly convinced a drywall contractor to launch a long-shot campaign to fracture the Right-wing vote even further. They even considered fabricating an entire third-party “MAGA” ticket.
Everything was secret until fired Peltola campaign manager Elisa Rios blew the whistle. Rios provided receipts, including internal texts showing national Democrats and campaign aides plotting the maneuver. The texts also showed them mocking unsuspecting voters and celebrating when the second Dan Sullivan survived a ballot challenge.
Both the Peltola camp and the DSCC repeatedly insisted they had no hand in the ghost candidate’s campaign. When pressed by reporters, Peltola’s operation and the DSCC repeated their denials, but dodged answering a list of detailed questions regarding the evidence.
Peltola herself attempted to brush off the brewing scandal. She called the revelation a distraction and claimed regular voters only care about their wallets.
“This is just another distraction. It’s another diversion,” Peltola said on Wednesday, adding, “This is all stuff to sell newspapers. This is all stuff to get subscriptions.”

Noam Sohlberg, the Central Elections Committee chairman and deputy president of the Supreme Court of Israel, dropped a political grenade Thursday, formally demanding the Shin Bet internal security agency probe “serious suspicions” that hostile foreign players illegally poured cash into the race to hijack the results.

Following the money trail could lead straight to Qatar. Israeli intelligence believes that Qatar and Turkey may have funneled funds into Arab communities to artificially increase voter turnout, using financial networks that mimic pipelines once used to bankroll Palestinian terrorism.

The clandestine operation allegedly targeted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, seeking to derail the embattled leader by flipping the Knesset. That would fit Doha’s longtime playbook like a glove. Qatar has spent years lavishing sanctuary and praise on Hamas killers while working to neutralize Netanyahu on the world stage.

Qatar has never hidden its appetite for terror. When Hamas terrorists butchered 1,200 Israelis on October 7, 2023, Doha immediately branded Israel “solely responsible.” Its state-run propaganda mouthpiece, Al Jazeera, instantly blasted calls to arms from terrorists like Mohammed Deif and Ismail Haniyeh.

Top Qatari royals and defense chiefs routinely celebrated Hamas, with one minister declaring “We are all Hamas” and the Emir’s own mother openly exalting butcher Yahya Sinwar. When direct violence wasn’t enough, Qatar targeted Netanyahu through lawfare: bombshell revelations revealed Qatari handlers promised to “look after” International Criminal Court prosecutor Karim Khan if he slapped arrest warrants on Netanyahu. Meanwhile, private spies ran smear jobs to discredit accusers of Khan’s misconduct.

Tuesday’s showdown produced unprecedented Arab turnout, with communities like Umm al-Fahm leaping from 38% in 2022 to 75.7%. The vote pushed Arab factions Ra’am and the Joint List to a historic 19 seats.

But Israeli police arrested three operatives in the Negev hoarding stacks of cash envelopes and pre-printed ballots, followed by four more arrests on Thursday.

National police chief Danny Levy vowed cops will dig into every lead. Sohlberg gave Shin Bet director David Zini a seven-day deadline to display the evidence.

The revelations blow a massive hole in the plans of Netanyahu’s rivals. Center-left leader Gadi Eisenkot might have tried to use Ra’am’s seats to muster a fragile 61-seat majority and seize legislative power. But Ra’am is now tied to possible voting violations, and relying on Arab parties would be a colossal mistake.

Ironically, the alleged foreign bid to crush Netanyahu might have handed Netanyahu a golden ticket. With opposition leaders boxed out of teaming up with an Arab bloc tainted by Gulf cash, he holds all the cards. Either he can force a unity pact on his own terms or head toward a fresh rematch in which the splinter parties that lowered his vote would no longer be a factor.

The New York City Council is weighing a bill that critics warn could pave the way toward a full legal recognition of polygamy.
The bill being pushed by leftist lawmakers, Int. 0242-2026, aims to force “family or relationship structure” straight into the New York City Human Rights Law. Spearheaded by Councilwoman Crystal Hudson, the proposal would implement protections for unconventional arrangements, including polygamous and polyamorous households.
Polygamy is permitted in much of the Islamic world, and polyamory has become a popular trend among the Left.
The bill states, “The term ‘family or relationship structure’ means involvement or noninvolvement in any romantic, physical, or emotional relationship that is not prohibited by any applicable law, without regard to the number of persons in such relationship, such as a nonmonogamous family or relationship, single-parent family, stepfamily, or multi-generational household.”
CHECK OUT THE DAILY WIRE MIDTERM HUB
The bill revives the exact nightmare scenario conservative Supreme Court justices explained back in 2015. In Chief Justice John Roberts’ dissent in Obergefell v. Hodges (2015), the Supreme Court case that legalized same-sex marriage, he wrote:

Although the majority randomly inserts the adjective “two” in various places, it offers no reason at all why the two-person element of the core definition of marriage may be preserved while the man-woman element may not. Indeed, from the standpoint of history and tradition, a leap from opposite-sex marriage to same-sex marriage is much greater than one from a two-person union to plural unions, which have deep roots in some cultures around the world. If the majority is willing to take the big leap, it is hard to see how it can say no to the shorter one.
It is striking how much of the majority’s reasoning would apply with equal force to the claim of a fundamental right to plural marriage. If “[t]here is dignity in the bond between two men or two women who seek to marry and in their autonomy to make such profound choices,” why would there be any less dignity in the bond between three people who, in exercising their autonomy, seek to make the profound choice to marry? If a same-sex couple has the constitutional right to marry because their children would otherwise “suffer the stigma of knowing their families are somehow lesser,” why wouldn’t the same reasoning apply to a family of three or more persons raising children?

Under traditional Islamic law, a Muslim man is permitted to take up to four wives at once. The practice is permitted in nearly every Arab League nation, with Tunisia the lone outright ban.
Now, thanks to leftist city officials, New York may soon be offering its own backdoor blessing to the multi-partner lifestyle.
New York isn’t the first left-leaning city to act in such a fashion. Several U.S. cities have passed ordinances protecting people in polyamorous and other non-traditional relationships from discrimination. Berkeley and Oakland were early adopters, passing similar measures in 2024. Portland’s ordinance passed unanimously and took effect in April. In 2026, West Hollywood, California, Washington’s capital Olympia, and Hazel Park, Michigan, also passed versions. In September, Seattle became the largest city yet to pass such protections, approving its ordinance unanimously.
The bill sits with the Committee on Civil and Human Rights. It’s waiting for its moment to blow up the nuclear family for good.

In the frantic hours after Israelis cast their ballots on Tuesday, early exit polls briefly suggested that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s reign might finally be coming to an end. But as official tallies filtered into Wednesday morning, political reality emerged: while Netanyahu fell short of an outright parliamentary majority, he remains firmly in control of Israel’s political destiny.
With roughly 71-77% of the ballots counted in the election for the 26th Knesset, the Central Elections Committee reported that Netanyahu’s Right-wing and religious alliance stood at around 54 seats, which is short of the 61 required for a majority in the 120-seat legislature.
The primary opposition, the anti-Netanyahu “change bloc” led by former military chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot, lagged further behind at roughly 47 seats, even with turnout surging to 77.7%, Israel’s highest since 1999.
On paper, the results suggest another round of the gridlock that has been part of Israeli politics for years. But a closer examination underscores why Netanyahu has essentially won the contest, leaving his adversaries trapped in a strategic box.
CHECK OUT THE DAILY WIRE MIDTERM HUB
The central roadblock confronting Eisenkot’s opposition camp is that anti-Netanyahu factions cannot assemble a governing majority without integrating the Arab parties, the Joint List and Ra’am, which surged to a combined 19 seats amid an extraordinary 80% Arab turnout.
In a post–October 7 Israel, a Zionist coalition containing bereaved families who lost relatives to Hamas cannot comfortably govern alongside Arab lawmakers who have dismissed the threat of terrorist groups such as Hamas.
Eisenkot, whose Yashar party captured roughly 20 seats to finish second behind Netanyahu’s Likud at 27, now faces what some analysts describe as a dilemma from hell. His camp cannot rely on the Arab parties without alienating its own Right-leaning voters, but if he opts for another snap election, the electorate would move even further to the Right, as ultra-Orthodox turnout rebounds.
By contrast, Netanyahu holds virtually all the cards. With Likud solidifying its position as the largest single party, he can easily outlast his opponents. He can wait for soldiers’ ballots, which have not been counted yet and traditionally favor the political Right, to increase his numbers. He could peel away defectors from a fractured opposition. Or he could dictate punitive terms for a broad unity government. If talks collapse into fresh elections, demographic trends and religious mobilization favor his camp over an opposition that has fired its best shot.
In the end, the opposition’s hope that anger over the war and religious exemptions would decisively dislodge Netanyahu failed to materialize. His phone lines are open, and his rivals will ultimately have to call him.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio gave a thuggish Cuban envoy the heave-ho from American soil on Tuesday after an unhinged Cuban party hack got into a shouting match with U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Mike Waltz and stormed the podium as Waltz spoke.
In the hallway, Cuban First Secretary Richard Tur de la Concepcion reportedly tried to manhandle Waltz’s spokesman, J.P. Freire, lunging to grab an iPhone that was recording the spectacle.
The U.N. showdown ignited when Waltz took a blowtorch to the island’s corrupt communist brass during an address at the United Nations on Tuesday. Waltz aired the Castro clan’s dirty laundry for the entire world to see. Pointing out the hypocrisy of Havana’s ruling class, the former Green Beret displayed images of the late tyrant Fidel Castro wearing a pair of flashy Rolexes while ordinary citizens starved.
Havana’s hotheaded foreign minister, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, went ballistic, storming the podium and shouting that Waltz was a “liar.”
CHECK OUT THE DAILY WIRE MIDTERM HUB
Waltz didn’t flinch.
“Back up!” Waltz barked across the chamber floor. “Back up, ambassador. Back away. This isn’t Havana. You’re not going to intimidate me.”
By Tuesday night, Rubio struck back hard.
On Fox News’ “Hannity,” a fiery Waltz revealed that Rubio had already put pen to paper to bounce Tur de la Concepcion straight out of the country.
“He’s gone. He is going to be on a plane to Havana within the next 24 hours,” Waltz declared. “You lay a hand on an American here in the United States, President Trump, Secretary Rubio, and myself, we’re not going to stand for it. There will be consequences.”
Waltz then explained the communist grift that sent the diplomats into hysterics.
“Sadly, the only thing equal about communism is everyone’s equally poor,” Waltz told Hannity. He showed private mansions, yachts, and luxury retreats owned by the Cuban elite while the rest of the island suffers without power or food.
“Here’s the grandson of Castro sitting on his yacht. The entire island doesn’t have any fuel. You know how much it takes to fill up this yacht?” Waltz scoffed. “They thought they could intimidate me and my diplomats. You know I’m a 27-year Green Beret. I’m not going to have it.”
Waltz vowed the days of Havana running roughshod at the United Nations are finished.
“Every time you try to interrupt me, I’m just going to keep pointing out the corruption of the regime … and the fact that one way or another, the Cuban people will see freedom. And I think they will see freedom on President Trump’s watch.”

Nobody is saying they know where Flávio Bolsonaro is. Not the cops, not the courts, and not even his own allies.

The son of confined former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has dropped off the map just two days after losing Sunday’s presidential runoff to leftist Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in an election marked by a suspicious ruling from Lula’s handpicked judge. Explosive reports claim Flávio slipped across the border into Argentina and tried to hop a private jet to America.

“Latin American news is reporting that Flavio Bolsonaro has escaped Brazil,” Daniel Di Martino, a Manhattan Institute expert on Latin American affairs, posted on X. “Crossed the border to Argentina and took a private flight to the United States.”

The Argentine outlet Infobae reported that the 45-year-old politician crossed into Argentina using his national ID card and was set to fly out of Puerto Iguazú, near the famed Iguazú Falls, early Tuesday.
CHECK OUT THE DAILY WIRE MIDTERM HUB

But the story quickly got murky. Argentine media reports said he walked across the border between 9 and 10 p.m. Monday, then got worried and never showed up at the airport. It was also reported that a plane was blocked from taking off in Puerto Iguazú, with Flávio’s name reportedly on the passenger list.

The disappearing act came hours after Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes ordered him to surrender his passports within 24 hours. The deadline came and went at 11 a.m. Tuesday with no passport in sight. His own lawyers admitted they couldn’t find him to hand them over, and Brazil’s Federal Police canceled both his regular and diplomatic passports.

Brazil is now investigating a possible escape. Authorities say he didn’t pass through any official border checkpoint, fueling speculation he slipped across by land.

President Javier Milei’s government in Argentina, a close Bolsonaro ally, flatly denied he ever entered the country, saying its migration authorities had no record of him. Officials added that the jet owner’s paperwork was in order and that no flight plan involving the Bolsonaro family had been filed.

Flávio himself said he was “cooling his head.” But asked point-blank whether he was still in Brazil, he went silent. Three close allies admitted they had no idea where he was.

His campaign coordinator, Rogério Marinho, insists he never left Brazil.

Flávio’s father Jair, the former president, is under house arrest after being convicted of attempting a coup. Flávio’s brother Eduardo already lives in the United States, and Flávio claims the passport crackdown was triggered by Eduardo publicly urging him to flee if he lost.

Flávio blasted the officers who served him as “Lula’s Federal Police,” and supporters say Moraes is waging a vendetta against the Bolsonaro clan.

For now, the only thing anyone knows for sure: Flávio is missing.
