Two reporters were physically removed from Secretary of State <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/antony-blinken" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Anthony Blinken&#8217;s</a> final press conference on Thursday after they repeatedly shouted and interrupted the event.
Blinken was delivering remarks at the State Department on the ceasefire deal that was announced on Wednesday when the reporters began to interrupt.
Blinken was interrupted by far-Left blogger Max Blumenthal, who claimed that Blinken &#8220;kept the bombs flowing.&#8221;
&#8220;Why did you sacrifice the rules-based order on the mantle of your commitment to Zionism?” Blumenthal fumed. “Why did you allow my friends to be massacred? Why did you allow my friends’ homes in Gaza to be destroyed when we had a deal in May?”
Blinken repeatedly said that he was happy to answer questions once the event reached the question-and-answer portion, but the reporters continued to interrupt.
“You helped destroy our religion, Judaism, by associating it with fascism,” Blumenthal falsely claimed as he continued to shout. “You waved the white flag before Netanyahu. You waved the white flag before Israeli fascists. Your father-in-law was an Israeli lobbyist, your grandfather was an Israeli lobbyist — are you compromised by Israel? Why did you allow the holocaust of our time to happen? How does it feel to have your legacy be genocide? How does it feel to have your legacy be genocide?”

White House Press Secretary <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/karine-jean-pierre" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Karine Jean-Pierre</a> reportedly refused to let national security spokesperson John Kirby address the hostage deal at Wednesday&#8217;s press briefing because she wanted to keep the spotlight on herself.
&#8220;Zero news made in KJP’s final briefing,&#8221; said Fox News White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich. &#8220;She had no details on the ceasefire/hostage deal that will end 400 days of fighting, a defining element of Biden’s presidency – instead directing reporters to an NSC background call.&#8221;
&#8220;Sources familiar with the situation tell me KJP blocked John Kirby from briefing the press on the ceasefire, wanting to keep the spotlight to herself,&#8221; she added.
Alex Ward from The Wall Street Journal added to the report, posting on X: &#8220;White House press secretary Karine-Jean Pierre stopped NSC spokesman John Kirby from briefing at the podium today, during which he would have briefed on the Israel-Hamas cease-fire.&#8221;
Axios reported in October that Kirby&#8217;s appearances at the briefings had ended specifically because Jean-Pierre blocked him from appearing, despite Biden&#8217;s wishes.
&#8220;Jean-Pierre has long privately fumed about Kirby&#8217;s role,&#8221; the report said. &#8220;Having both of them at the podium was what Biden wanted, but Jean-Pierre thought that Kirby&#8217;s presence gave the impression she needed a chaperone.&#8221;

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/iran" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Iranian</a> President Masoud Pezeshkian claimed in an interview this week that the Islamic regime, which is the world&#8217;s leading state sponsor of terrorism, has &#8220;never&#8221; tried to assassinate President-elect Donald Trump.
Pezeshkian&#8217;s claims come despite Iran having attempted <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/feds-disrupt-iranian-assassination-plot-on-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">at least twice to assassinate Trump</a> last year — both of which were foiled by federal law enforcement.
He made the remarks during an NBC News interview with Lester Holt, who traveled to Tehran for the interview.
&#8220;This is another one of those schemes that Israel and other countries are designing to promote Iranophobia,&#8221; Pezeshkian claimed. &#8220;Iran has never attempted to nor does it plan to assassinate anyone. At least as far as I know.&#8221;
When asked if there was ever a plan to assassinate Trump, Pezeshkian claimed: “None whatsoever.”

The U.S. Department of Justice <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/feds-disrupt-iranian-assassination-plot-on-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">unsealed</a> an indictment in November against multiple individuals who were involved in plots to murder an Iranian dissident, two Jewish Americans, and Trump on U.S. soil.

Prosecutors indicted Farhad Shakeri, 51, of Iran, on multiple charges, including murder-for-hire, conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, money laundering conspiracy, conspiring to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization, providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization, and conspiracy to violate the International Emergency Economic Powers Act and sanctions against the Government of Iran.
Shakeri remains at large and is believed to be inside Iran. If convicted on all counts, he could face 100 years in prison.
“Shakeri is an [Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps] asset residing in Tehran, Iran,” prosecutors said. “Shakeri immigrated to the United States as a child and was deported in or about 2008 after serving 14 years in prison for a robbery conviction. In recent months, Shakeri has used a network of criminal associates he met in prison in the United States to supply the IRGC with operatives to conduct surveillance and assassinations of IRGC targets.”
Prosecutors said that he hired two individuals to kill the Iranian dissident and the two Jewish Americans.
However, with the elections approaching, the IRGC told Shakeri to pause his efforts to kill the dissident and the two Jewish Americans because they wanted him to focus on killing Trump.
“SHAKERI indicated to IRGC Official-1 that this would cost a ‘huge’ amount of money,” the indictment said. “In response, IRGC Official-1 said that ‘we have already spent a lot of money [s]o the money’s not an issue,’ which SHAKERI understood to mean that the IRGC previously had spent a significant sum of money on efforts to murder Victim-4 and was willing to continue spending a lot of money in its attempt to procure Victim-4’s assassination.”
During a meeting in October with the IRGC official, Shakeri was instructed to have a plan in place to assassinate Trump within a week and that if he could not do it, Iran would put the plan on hold because they believed Trump “would lose the election and, afterward, it would be easier to assassinate” him after losing.
Federal authorities arrested Carlisle Rivera, also known as Pop, 49, of Brooklyn, New York; and Jonathon Loadholt, 36, of Staten Island, New York, for their alleged involvement in the plots to murder the Iranian dissident and the two Jewish Americans.
“The charges announced today expose Iran’s continued brazen attempts to target U.S. citizens, including President-elect Donald Trump, other government leaders and dissidents who criticize the regime in Tehran,” said FBI Director Christopher Wray. “The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps — a designated foreign terrorist organization — has been conspiring with criminals and hitmen to target and gun down Americans on U.S. soil and that simply won’t be tolerated.”
The other <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/pakistani-with-close-ties-to-iran-charged-in-scheme-to-assassinate-trump-others">attempt</a> involved a Pakistani national who FBI Director Christopher Wray said had “close ties to Iran” and was allegedly sent to the U.S. to assassinate Trump.
According to court documents, in April 2024, Asif Merchant, 46, who revealed he has a wife and children in both Iran and Pakistan, came to the U.S. after spending time in Iran. He contacted someone about his alleged scheme; that person, who became a confidential source (CS), then contacted the FBI. In early June in New York, Merchant met the CS and outlined his alleged plot to commit a series of assassinations in the U.S.
“Merchant explained that his plot involved multiple criminal schemes: (1) stealing documents or USB drives from a target’s home; (2) planning a protest; and (3) killing a politician or government official,” the Department of Justice stated. “Merchant stated that the assassination would occur after he left the United States and he would communicate with the CS from overseas using code words. The CS asked whether Merchant had spoken to the unidentified ‘party’ back home with whom Merchant was working. Merchant responded that he had and that the party back home told him to ‘finalize’ the plan and leave the United States.”
On June 21, Merchant met with undercover U.S. law enforcement officers in New York, giving them $5,000 in advance.
“After Merchant paid the $5,000 to the UCs, one of the UCs stated, ‘now we’re bonded,’ to which Merchant responded ‘yes.’ The UC then stated ‘Now we know we’re going forward. We’re doing this,’ to which Merchant responded ‘Yes, absolutely,’” the DOJ stated.
Merchant was arrested on July 12, 2024, the day he planned to leave the country.

Biden added: &#8220;The Government of Cuba has provided assurances that it will not support acts of international terrorism in the future.&#8221;
Rep. Micheal McCaul (R-TX), Chairman Emeritus of the Foreign Affairs Committee and the Homeland Security Committee, responded to the news by saying that Biden&#8217;s move would &#8220;only embolden the country’s brutal communist regime as it seeks to destabilize the globe and undermine democracy.&#8221;
&#8220;Under his watch, the Castro regime has brutally repressed and starved its own people, sent its citizens to help Putin’s army destroy Ukraine, and hosted a Beijing spy base, from which the CCP can surveil Americans and expand its malign influence,&#8221; he added.

Rep. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/alexandria-ocasio-cortez" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez</a> (D-NY) raged at Republicans on Tuesday as the House debated the Protection of Women and Girls Act.
The bill, which aims to protect women’s sports leagues by keeping male athletes who identify as females from competing against women, passed the House with only two Democrats voting in support of it.
Ocasio-Cortez claimed on the House floor that Republicans support women &#8220;bleeding out in parking lots across the country, standing there, allowing us to die.&#8221;
She said that Republicans were &#8220;pretend[ing]&#8221; to &#8220;care about women&#8221; because they want to conduct &#8220;genital examinations into little girls in this country, in the so-called name of attacking trans girls.&#8221;
&#8220;The majority right now says there&#8217;s no place in this bill that says it opens up for genital examinations,&#8221; she claimed. &#8220;There&#8217;s no enforcement mechanism in this bill. And when there is no enforcement mechanism, you open the door to every enforcement mechanism.&#8221;
&#8220;Trans girls are girls,&#8221; she claimed. &#8220;And for all the folks that are so concerned, thank you for your concern about women for the first time that I&#8217;ve seen, I don&#8217;t know about y&#8217;all, I don&#8217;t know who&#8217;s been to gym class lately, but girls, even if you only believe in two genders, I&#8217;ve played co-ed sports all the time.&#8221;

Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, the owner of The Los Angeles Times, said during an interview this week that it was a &#8220;mistake&#8221; for the newspaper to have endorsed <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/karen-bass" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Karen Bass</a> to be the city&#8217;s mayor.
Soon-Shiong made the remarks during an interview with 2Way&#8217;s Sean Spicer following the severe backlash that Bass has faced over the last week in the wake of the wildfires that erupted, causing $50+ billion in damage.

FBI Director Christopher Wray warned during an interview on Sunday that the threat of Islamic terrorism was much more significant than most in the U.S. realize.
Wray made the remarks during an interview on CBS News&#8217; &#8220;60 Minutes&#8221; just two weeks after an ISIS-inspired terrorist killed 14 people on New Year&#8217;s Day in New Orleans&#8217; French Quarter.
&#8220;There was a guy, a Pakistani citizen just a few months ago who we worked with our Canadian partners to arrest,&#8221; Wray said. &#8220;This guy was trying to get into the U.S., to get to New York City to conduct a mass shooting at a Jewish center in Brooklyn. And, in his words, not my words, his words, he wanted to conduct the largest attack in the U.S. since 9/11.&#8221;
&#8220;So what I would say to the American people is that, when you think these things are happening half a world away, it&#8217;s like that little inscription on your mirror in your car, &#8216;Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear,'&#8221; he continued.
Wray said that the terrorist in New Orleans, a U.S. citizen, was &#8220;radicalized online&#8221; and was &#8220;determined to try to murder as many innocent people as he could in the name of ISIS.&#8221;

He said that lone wolf attacks were the most difficult to stop because terrorists like one in New Orleans &#8220;radicalize not in years but in weeks,&#8221; and they use crude methods of attack that are deadly.
&#8220;And if you think about that old saying about connecting the dots, there are not a lot of dots out there to connect,&#8221; he said. &#8220;And there&#8217;s very little time in which to connect them.&#8221;

FBI Director Christopher Wray said during an interview over the weekend that communist China is the most significant threat facing the incoming Trump administration.
Wray made the remarks during an interview that aired Sunday on CBS News&#8217; &#8220;60 Minutes&#8221; just days before he steps down from his position after President-elect Donald Trump said that he would replace Wray with a new nominee, Kash Patel.
&#8220;The greatest long-term threat facing our country, in my view, is represented by the People&#8217;s Republic of China, the Chinese government, which I consider to be the defining threat of our generation,&#8221; Wray said.
When asked about China&#8217;s recent hack of U.S. cyber and infrastructure, Wray said that China&#8217;s program is &#8220;far and away the world&#8217;s largest — bigger than that of every major nation combined and has stolen more of Americans&#8217; personal and corporate data than that of every nation, big or small, combined.&#8221;
&#8220;But even beyond the cyber theft, there&#8217;s another part of the Chinese cyber threat that I think has not gotten the attention publicly that it I think desperately deserves,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;And that is Chinese government&#8217;s pre-positioning on American civilian critical infrastructure. To lie in wait on those networks to be in a position to wreak havoc and can inflict real-world harm at a time and place of their choosing.&#8221;
He said that China has used malware to infect water treatment plants, transportation systems, the electric grid, natural gas pipelines, and telecommunications systems.

President Joe Biden claimed during the final week of his presidency that he built one the most competent foreign policy teams in history despite all evidence to the contrary.
Biden made the puzzling remarks on Monday evening at the State Department alongside Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
“I put together one of the most competent foreign policy teams, I would argue, in American history,” Biden claimed.
His remarks come after his disastrous withdraw in Afghanistan in August 2021 that humiliated the U.S. around the world and became the catalyst for a resurgence in Islamic terrorism in the region and around the world.
Several months later, in February 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine in-part because he believed that the Biden would not respond strongly to the invasion.
The administration has allowed Russian forces, combined with local forces, to push the U.S. out of countries in Africa where the U.S. had a small presence that was key for fighting terrorism.
Iranian-backed Hamas terrorists invaded Israel on October 7, 2023, murdering more than 1,200 people and taking hundreds hostage. Other Iranian-backed terrorist groups later joined in the fight against Israel, sparking a regional war in which Iran has directly fired hundreds of ballistic missiles inside Israel.
The U.S. has also faced the largest cyberattack in history from communist China — which is still ongoing and which the administration still has not punished China for.
&#8220;In these four years, we faced crises that we&#8217;ve been tested,&#8221; Biden claimed. &#8220;We&#8217;ve come through those tests stronger, in my view, than we ended those tests.&#8221;
&#8220;Ending the war was the right thing to do, and I believe history will reflect that,&#8221; Biden claimed.

Incoming national security adviser Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL) said during an interview over the weekend the reason that Ukraine has been unable to beat Russia is because their conscription age is significantly higher than it should be, meaning that there are hundreds of thousands of soldiers that it could have access to that are not on the battlefield.
Waltz made the remarks during an interview on ABC News&#8217; &#8220;This Week&#8221; with Jonathan Karl when asked about President-elect Donald Trump&#8217;s plans to end the war in Ukraine.
Waltz said: &#8220;It&#8217;s been striking to me just since President Trump&#8217;s election, how many people have gone from just unqualified blank checks — as long as it takes, whether that&#8217;s months, years, decades in terms of perpetuating this war, which really has bogged down to a World War I style meat grinder of people and resources with World War III consequences — to now even President Zelensky walking in the room in Paris and saying, &#8216;Ready to work with you to end this war. Let&#8217;s end it justly, responsibly, in a way that protects Ukraine&#8217;s future, but ends this thing and so, the entire world can move on from it.'&#8221;
He said that Trump is working hard to get a deal done between the two sides to bring the war to a quick close.
&#8220;The other thing that we&#8217;re going to need to see is really stabilizing things on the battlefield,&#8221; Waltz said. &#8220;And one of the things that we&#8217;ll be asking of the Ukrainians is they have real manpower issues. Their draft age right now is 26 years old, not 18, I don&#8217;t think a lot of people realize that.&#8221;
&#8220;They could generate hundreds of thousands of new soldiers,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;So when we hear about morale problems, when we hear about issues on the frontline, look, if the Ukrainians have asked the entire world to be all in for democracy, we need them to be all in for democracy.&#8221;

National security adviser Jake Sullivan said during an interview on Sunday that the American people were better off and safer from threats today than they were four years ago.
Sullivan made his claim, which comes less than two weeks after an ISIS-inspired terrorist killed 14 people in an attack on New Orleans, during an interview on CNN&#8217;s &#8220;State of the Union&#8221; with Jake Tapper.
Tapper asked Sullivan: &#8220;Where across the globe could you point and say the United States is safer because of what we did here?&#8221;
After spouting White House talking points about the administration&#8217;s foreign policy track record, Sullivan said that Americans were better off now as a result.

Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) said during an interview on Sunday that then-Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) did not allow Republicans to be briefed on the terrorist threats facing the United States last year because he did not want the information to leak and damage Vice President Kamala Harris during the elections.
Britt made the remarks during an interview with CNN&#8217;s Jake Tapper on &#8220;State of the Union&#8221; when asked about the subject that Republicans repeatedly brought up to Schumer last year. The topic comes two weeks after a terrorist killed more than a dozen people in New Orleans on New Year&#8217;s Day.
Britt said that she was extremely concerned about the potential for future terrorist attacks in the U.S.
&#8220;When you rewind to where this came from, in my opinion, this is a direct result of Biden&#8217;s failed policies across the world,&#8221; she said. &#8220;When you look at the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, we know that that created a vacuum. It created a vacuum that allowed ISIS-K to continue to flourish.&#8221;
&#8220;Our conversations surrounding that and our request of Senator Schumer was, make sure that we understand this, so that we can do everything that we need to,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;This is also right after Director Wray said that he saw blinking lights everywhere he turned.&#8221;

She said it was &#8220;incredibly disappointing that Senator Schumer chose to not allow us to have those&#8221; and that she believes he did not allow it because it was during &#8220;the election cycle&#8221; and he wanted to &#8220;keep that information from leaking out.&#8221;
