The organization that facilitates medical education in the United States promised to fight federal and state efforts to crack down on transgender ideology, leaked footage obtained by The Daily Wire shows.
Top leadership at the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) promised to continue backing challenges at a town hall meeting last month, according to footage obtained by Do No Harm. In addition to administering the MCAT, the medical school admissions test, the AAMC sponsors the accrediting body for allopathic medical schools.
In an October 8 virtual town hall, AAMC President David Skorton said he was “very concerned” about the federal and state crackdown on transgender ideology and that the issue was a “high priority” for his organization when asked about so-called “attacks” on the transgender community.
“It&#8217;s easy to say we&#8217;re very concerned, but we are very concerned about this. Not only because of health care issues … but also other issues related to not just health care, but the psychological effect on people who will feel excluded and actually attacked,” Skorton said during the meeting. “We have a lot of work to do in this area, and it&#8217;s definitely, definitely a high priority for us.”

Answering the same question, Frank Trinity, the AAMC’s chief legal officer, noted that the organization is backing a challenge to the Trump administration’s executive action cutting off funding for hospitals that perform transgender procedures on kids.
“Since 2022, the AAMC has been a part of a coalition of more than 20 national medical groups, joining an amicus effort filed in many courts across the country supporting challenges to mostly state laws that would essentially prohibit gender affirming medical care,” Trinity said.
Trinity added that the landmark Supreme Court case that upheld Tennessee’s right to protect kids from transgender procedures was a “setback.”
“There was a setback, as you know, in the Skrmetti case coming out of Tennessee with the Supreme Court dismissing a challenge,” he said, referencing Skrmetti v. United States, which held that states can bar transgender procedures for minors. “But those cases are still going forward. There&#8217;s two different cases challenging the executive order that would effectively ban federal support for gender affirming medical care.”
He noted that the AAMC had joined in a coalition with other professional medical organizations in filing an <a href="https://www.aamc.org/media/86176/download?attachment" target="_blank" rel="noopener">amicus brief</a> at the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals challenging President Donald Trump’s executive order that cuts funding for entities that promote child transgender procedures.
“Gender-affirming care supports an individual with gender dysphoria as they explore their gender identity in contrast with efforts to change the individual&#8217;s gender identity to match their sex assigned at birth, which are known to be ineffective and harmful,” the brief claims.
“Empirical evidence indicates that [transgender procedures], including the prescription of puberty blockers and hormone therapy to carefully evaluated patients who meet diagnostic criteria, can alleviate clinically significant distress and lead to significant improvements in the mental health and overall wellbeing of adolescents with gender dysphoria.”
The care advocated for by the AAMC included treatments like puberty blockers and placing young kids on cross-sex hormones, both of which can have permanent impacts on fertility, sexual health, and bone development.
The AAMC has joined numerous other briefs challenging both federal and state laws protecting kids from transgender procedures. This includes an effort at the district court in <a href="https://www.aamc.org/media/81976/download?attachment" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Maryland</a> to block Trump’s executive actions and state laws in <a href="https://www.aamc.org/media/83841/download?attachment" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ohio</a>, <a href="https://www.aamc.org/media/75636/download?attachment" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Montana</a>, <a href="https://www.aamc.org/media/71811/download?attachment" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Arkansas</a>, and many others.
“We will continue to be a part of that coalition,” Trinity said after discussing the AAMC’s legal efforts.
Speaking on the issue in broad terms, Malika Fair, the AAMC’s chief community, opportunity, and engagement officer, said that the organization was focused on “supporting the entire patient population as well, which is under attack.”
Skorton then jumped in to say that “our colleagues in the medical profession” were also under attack.
The AAMC works with 171 accredited medical schools in the United States and Canada, over 400 teaching hospitals and health systems, and 70 academic societies.
Dr. Stanley Goldfarb, the chairman of Do No Harm, called the footage from the AAMC town hall troubling.
“It is concerning that the AAMC, which is essentially a political activist organization, has so much influence over medical schools and future doctors,” he told The Daily Wire. “Its support for irreversible pediatric sex-change procedures demonstrates how disconnected the group is from biological reality and evidence-based practices.”
In more of the footage, the AAMC leaders were questioned about their approach to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.
“I want to be plain about it. I believe as I have for decades that the data show that more diverse teams do a better job of solving problems, especially in complex situations, and there are a few things more complex than medical care,” Skorton said. “So, I believe that working for a more diverse medical workforce is an imperative, and I believe that we&#8217;re doing that, and we&#8217;ll continue to do it with all deference to the law, and, I guess that&#8217;s a straightforward answer to it.”
“We&#8217;re committed to continuing to work for a more broad background in those delivering healthcare, of course, in line with the law,” he added.

This commitment to diversity came after Skorton sent out an email on October 3 to AAMC announcing that it would be rebranding its affinity group on “Diversity and Inclusion” to be called the Group on Collaboration, Engagement, and Community.
“This change is being made in part to align with how programming has evolved for this group and the AAMC, as well as in response to feedback from member institutions who continue to experience external pressures,” the email said

“The AAMC’s mission and vision are not changing,” Skorton wrote. “We remain deeply committed to convening our community and supporting the professional development of our constituents through these affinity groups.”
Reference to the group has already been scrubbed from the AAMC’s page on affinity groups, but archived pages show that the <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20250509064034/https://www.aamc.org/learn-network/affinity-groups" target="_blank" rel="noopener">purpose</a> of that group was to “guide the advancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout medicine and biomedical sciences.”
Do No Harm, which released a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/heres-how-much-medical-schools-pay-for-membership-in-woke-academic-association" target="_blank" rel="noopener">comprehensive 80-page report</a> last year highlighting the AAMC’s embrace of DEI and leftist politics, was skeptical of the rebrand.
“The AAMC’s rebranding of DEI doesn’t fool anyone; even the CEO said its ‘mission and vision aren&#8217;t changing.’ If we are to restore integrity to medical education, then schools need to think twice before pledging allegiance to the AAMC,” Goldfarb said.
Do No Harm’s push against politics in medicine has been joined by other doctors who want to get back to focusing on scientific medicine. Dr. Charles Lockwood, the executive vice president and dean of the University of South Florida Health Morsani College of Medicine, recently published a <a href="https://www.amjmed.com/article/S0002-9343(25)00745-4/fulltext" target="_blank" rel="noopener">viewpoint</a> in the American Journal of Medicine lambasting the inclusion of politics in medicine.
Lockwood told The Daily Wire that he was inspired to write the article because of the AAMC’s embrace of so-called “gender-affirming care” for kids.
“It is shocking to me that this would be embraced, embraced with such passion, when, again, no evidence of benefit, no evidence to reduce the rate of suicide, no evidence of mental health improvements, no evidence that we are actually treating gender dysphoria, and many cases where there&#8217;s tremendous regret and detransitioning, which is difficult to do,” Lockwood said.
He said he thought most rank-and-file doctors opposed gender procedures in schools, but that leadership at the organizations was pushing it for political reasons.
“We need to move medicine out of harm&#8217;s way, and out of the political debate and back to empiricism and the embrace of scientific method of evidence based medicine back to self correction, which it clearly is departed from,” Lockwood said. “When we do that as a profession, we&#8217;ll find that we regain the public trust.”

A couple who won a landmark Supreme Court victory in favor of parental rights said their Christian faith helped them through the dramatic ordeal that began when their daughter took a book pushing transgender ideology home from her Maryland school.
In April, Chris and Melissa Persak, a Catholic family, found themselves and other allied parents arriving at the Supreme Court to hear oral arguments in their case against the Montgomery County Board of Education over whether they had the right to opt their kids out of instruction on transgender ideology. In June, the Persaks, who were represented by the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, won a decisive 6-3 victory with the Supreme Court majority declaring that they and other parents had expansive oversight over what their children were taught at schools.
“We said prayers of the Holy Spirit, and just felt this unbelievable calmness as we&#8217;re walking in. Even with the protesters, even with members of the leadership of Montgomery County, who were protesting against us live that day,” Chris told The Daily Wire.
“We just felt like this was the right thing that God was saying, ‘Yep, this is exactly what I asked you to do. It&#8217;s been 24 months, and I know you guys have taken shrapnel and things that have come at you and people threaten your children, and you and your friends, and it was vindication day,” he added.
On Tuesday, the Persaks <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfCn1zWnXGQ" target="_blank" rel="noopener">appeared</a> on Becket’s “<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfCn1zWnXGQ" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Stream of Conscience</a>” podcast alongside Jeff and Svitlana Roman, another family who challenged Montgomery County’s opt-out policies.
The legal battle began in March 2023, when the school board said that it would no longer let parents opt out of books pushing transgender and queer ideology. In response, a group of Christian, Muslim, and Jewish parents challenged the county in Mahmoud v. Taylor.
Svitlana said during her appearance on the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfCn1zWnXGQ" target="_blank" rel="noopener">podcast</a>, which was previewed by The Daily Wire, that she became involved in the legal fight because she just wanted parents like her to have the option to opt their elementary-aged kids from sexualized materials in the classroom.
“All I would like to ask is, one, to make it very clear that the teachers have an optionality to teach it or not, and then two, give the choice to parents to opt in,” she said.
Melissa Persak echoed that sentiment.
“This whole lawsuit was we just wanted the rights to our own children and what they&#8217;re gonna learn,” she said. “It has nothing to do with anybody else&#8217;s kids, but, you know, obviously, in the process, now, we want to protect everyone, all the parents, and all of their children.”

Chris, her husband, added that the entire saga revealed how citizens could fight for their rights under the Constitution. He described being at the Supreme Court as a “powerful moment” because “citizens can stand up for what we believe protected under the Constitution by a system that was essentially set up nearly 250 years ago.”
“We just want the best for our kids and our families and have access to the freedoms granted under the Constitution,” he added. “And the ability to see that happen in real time at the political level has been awesome, it&#8217;s been awe-inspiring.”
When the decision was announced, Chris said the “jubilation was unbelievable.”
Becket Lawyer Will Haun told The Daily Wire that the decision in Mahmoud came 100 years after the Supreme Court issued a decision protecting the rights of parents to send their kids to religious schools.
“It took a long time for the Supreme Court to confirm that parents don&#8217;t lose that freedom when they send their children to public schools,” he said. “But thanks to the heroic example of Chris and Melissa and all the parents who stood with us, that is confirmed in the law now as well.”
In light of the decision, Montgomery County has rolled out a system known as &#8220;refrigerator curriculum,” giving parents broad access to essentially every material used in the classroom. The breadth of material has prompted some parents to worry they might miss something, but Haun said it was a sign that things were changing.
“Business as usual in Montgomery County when it came to opt outs was not acceptable anymore,” he said. “And I think that became abundantly clear with the Supreme Court&#8217;s decisive victory for the parents.”

California officials misled a federal judge about policies that hide students&#8217; &#8220;gender transitions&#8221; from parents at schools, bombshell documents uncovered by a legal firm appear to show.
On Monday, California officials will appear before U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez for a <a href="https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/63d954d4e4ad424df7819d46/690e752307c0ae224314bd61_Dkt.%20294_ORDER%20-%20Show%20Cause%20RE%20Sanctions.pdf">show cause hearing</a> to provide evidence on why they shouldn’t be sanctioned for attempting to mislead the court about state policies that would prohibit parents from being informed about their children’s supposed &#8220;gender identity.&#8221; The hearing is the latest saga in a multi-year challenge to school policies adopted in California that teachers say would force them to lie to parents about students suffering from gender dysphoria. 
“We now have irrefutable evidence that the [California Department of Education] covertly moved these unconstitutional gender secrecy directives inside a password-protected training hidden away from public view, and distributed them to school districts statewide,” said Paul Jonna, a lawyer with the Thomas More Society. Jonna is representing two teachers, Elizabeth Mirabelli and Lori West, who sued the Escondido Union School District in 2023 over a policy that kept parents in the dark about their children&#8217;s so-called gender identity. 
The California Department of Education has argued that it should not be a party to the case because it claims not to have mandated parental exclusion. They claim that a <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20240113000622/https://www.cde.ca.gov/re/di/eo/faqs.asp">frequently-asked-questions</a> page posted by the department has been edited to show that they do not mandate parental exclusion, and so there is no more cause for complaint. The FAQ page included a line that said &#8220;with rare exceptions, schools are required to respect the limitations that a student places on the disclosure of their transgender status, including not sharing that information with the student’s parents.&#8221;
While that guidance was deleted, policies that kept parents in the dark about their children were still promoted in statewide teacher trainings.
Lawyers for the Thomas More Society obtained training materials developed by the state that appear to prove just that. The materials were found in California’s PRISM <a href="https://www.cde.ca.gov/ci/pl/prism.asp">framework</a>, which describes itself as “a six-course online training for certificated educators that provides resources to support LGBTQ+ youth.”
Currently, the materials are unavailable on the state’s <a href="https://prismcalifornia.org/home">website</a>, but the Thomas More Society included them in a court <a href="https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/63d954d4e4ad424df7819d46/6913872618ec89d3116895a5_Supplemental_Briefs_Mirabelli_Sanctions.pdf">filing</a>. Inside those materials is a section on “School Legal Responsibilities,&#8221; which it says includes mandates for “inclusive policies, respect for gender identity, anti-discrimination protections, and privacy rights.” It recommends and links to guidelines from the Our Family Coalition that say parents should be kept in the dark if they are not supportive.
“School staff must respect students’ right to privacy and may not affirmatively disclose a student’s LGBTQ status to others without the student’s permission,” the guidance from the San Francisco-based LGBT organization says. “Students have a right to privacy in personal information about their sexual orientation and gender identity, and outing students both at school or at home violates this right and also risks exposing students to harassment. If a student is not out at home, schools should offer them support for working towards family acceptance.”

The official teacher training also links to recommendations from the ACLU of Southern California that outline similar standards. 
“Generally, school staff cannot share information about your gender identity and sexual orientation without your permission, except under very limited circumstances, such as in case of an emergency,” the guidance says, adding that only in “limited circumstances” can school staff tell parents about their child’s gender identity. 
The PRISM training also linked to policies from the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network that stated, “School staff shall not disclose any information that may reveal a student’s transgender status to others, including parents or guardians.&#8221;
Jonna said the evidence that California officials attempted to mislead Benitez is damning. 
“The State claimed in court that it had rescinded the gender secrecy directives we are challenging,” he said. “But we now have evidence of a coordinated, statewide campaign to enforce Parental Exclusion Policies. The State Defendants are attempting to knowingly mislead a Federal Court in order to evade judicial review and prejudice Plaintiffs and the Certified Class. This is one of the most egregious attempts I’ve seen — if not the most — to mislead a Court, and it warrants severe sanctions.”
Benitez will also consider the constitutionality of “parental exclusion policies&#8221; on Monday. He has certified the case as a class action lawsuit, meaning that it will apply to any parent or teacher who objects to California’s policies. Those policies were put forth in California Assembly Bill 1955, which was signed by California Governor Gavin Newsom, and prohibits local school districts from passing measures requiring teachers to inform parents about a student&#8217;s identity. 
Benitez, an appointee of President George W. Bush, already granted an injunction to Mirabelli and West back in 2023, protecting them from having to abide by the policy. 
Defendants in the case <a href="https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/67279752/parties/mirabelli-v-olson/">include</a> Newsom, California Attorney General Rob Bonta, and gubernatorial candidate and California State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond. Bonta sued the Chino Valley Unified School District in August 2023 over a policy it implemented protecting parental rights to know how their children are identifying. 
Greg Burt, the vice president of the California Family Council, said that it appeared that the state was &#8220;scrambling&#8221; to hide its policies and that it looked like parents in the Golden State were going to pick up a win.
&#8220;We are very excited these two teachers, down in the San Diego area, stood up to the state and instead of just following what they were saying about keeping secrets they said they couldn&#8217;t do that,&#8221; he told The Daily Wire. &#8220;Their decision to be brave is going to have a positive, hopefully a positive effect on the entire state.&#8221;

“Okay, a lot of the MAGA women receive gender-affirming care such as lip fillers, breast augmentation, et cetera,” the reporter began, prompting an apparently amused reaction from Crockett. “Why do you think they are so against gender-affirming care for trans people?”

What makes a crowd at a Scott Wiener event &#8220;boo&#8221; in disgust? A woman saying that a man who identifies as a woman is not, in fact, a woman.
&#8220;They are men,&#8221; Tish Hyman, the woman at the center of a viral video calling for men to stay out of women&#8217;s locker rooms, told the crowd Monday night. Hyman flew across the state for Wiener&#8217;s first appearance as a congressional candidate. He was doing an interview with Mission Local, a news outlet in San Francisco, in front of a sold-out crowd.

&#8220;As a lesbian woman who was attacked in a woman&#8217;s locker room at Gold&#8217;s Gym this week by a self-identifying trans woman with a documented history of domestic violence, I&#8217;m deeply concerned about women&#8217;s safety,&#8221; Hyman told Wiener as he opened the floor up for questions.
&#8220;What would you say to women who are seeking assurance that their safety will be protected from men who, by California law, can self-identify as women in women-only spaces?&#8221; Hyman asked.
The state senator, who has taken no action to protect women from men in any space, replied in part: &#8220;Trans women are women.&#8221;
Hyman vehemently disagreed, and the crowd erupted in boos.
&#8220;Trans women are women,&#8221; someone yelled at Hyman from across the room.
Wiener attempted to answer Hyman&#8217;s question on how he would protect women.
&#8220;I mean, I want everyone to be safe and we have trans people &#8212; both men and women who are men and women&#8230;&#8221; Wiener said.
It&#8217;s not the answer Hyman wanted to hear. The leftist crowd turned on Hyman, who still made her points clear to Wiener. She said it&#8217;s the first of many conversations she hopes to have with him to make California safer.
&#8220;I see a lot of these bills that are dangerous for women and young children. I am telling you as a woman first and foremost, this is dangerous. We need your help because you&#8217;re in the office,&#8221; Hyman said.
Wiener claimed he appreciates Hyman&#8217;s point of view, but &#8220;trans women are also brutalized in this country.&#8221;
Hyman boldly told the state senator in response to his statement that trans women aren&#8217;t women. She said it as clearly as she has in every video she&#8217;s made since being catapulted into the fight for women&#8217;s rights.
One of the trans-identifying men Hyman exposed in her videos for allegedly harassing her in the women&#8217;s locker room had a lengthy rap sheet of charges, including domestic violence. The Daily Wire obtained arrest <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trans-identifying-man-at-center-of-viral-gym-video-once-slammed-ex-wifes-head-into-toilet">records</a> for Grant Freeman, which said he slammed his ex-wife into a toilet seat.
She told that to the crowd, too. Crickets. Before she left the venue, she let Wiener know she thought he was doing nothing to protect women.
Hyman said after her exchange with Wiener that she wants women to know she will not stop fighting.
&#8220;Collectively, we have the strength to win this together,&#8221; she said.

Democrats have been quick to declare transgenderism a losing electoral issue in the wake of their recent victories at the ballot box, and the media is buying in.
&#8220;Republicans went all in on anti-trans messaging for the 2025 election,&#8221; declared an article by <a href="https://www.notus.org/2025-election/anti-transgender-attacks-republicans-virginia-new-jersey" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NOTUS</a>. &#8220;It didn’t work.&#8221;
The belief is that Democrats won in 2025 elections in Virginia and New Jersey, despite an onslaught of messaging from Republicans on their radical positions on transgenderism. But Republicans are almost certainly not going to let the issue die, and the issue that proved so successful for them in 2024 will be put to the test in the 2026 midterm elections. The issue is already heating up in Nevada, and could impact the state&#8217;s governor&#8217;s race.
&#8220;I&#8217;m going to do another ballot initiative this coming cycle on men in women&#8217;s sports,&#8221; Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo (R) said at a campaign event in September, according to the<a href="https://pvtimes.com/news/lombardo-speaks-in-tonopah-and-goldfield-during-reelection-campaign-153918/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> Pahrump Valley Times</a>. &#8220;I&#8217;m going to raise the money to put a fight on that and change the constitution on how we address that particular issue.&#8221;
The topic has been hot in the state since members of the University of Nevada, Reno, women’s volleyball team declined to play against San Jose State University in 2024 because of a transgender athlete on the team, with members of the Reno team taking a different stance from the university on the matter at the time.
“The student athletes at the University of Nevada, Reno have determined that they do not want to play against San Jose State, and I wholeheartedly respect the decision of the players,” Lombardo posted to X at the time.
“No student athlete should ever be pressured to play a game where they don’t feel safe — period,” he added.
It could become a major campaign issue, as Lombardo and Attorney General Aaron Ford, who’s seeking the Democratic nomination for governor, have previously expressed sharply different views on transgender issues.
In 2022, Ford signed onto an amicus brief against an Arkansas law against “gender-affirming treatment” for minors.
“We must protect our children from discriminatory laws that bar access to necessary, gender-affirming health care,” Ford said in a January 2022<a href="https://ag.nv.gov/News/PR/2022/Attorney_General_Ford_Joins_Coalition_Urging_Court_to_Protect_Access_to_Healthcare_for_Transgender_Teenagers/?csrt=12551046735556127769&amp;utm_source=chatgpt.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> statement</a>. Over and over again, evidence has shown that denying transgender youth access to gender-affirming care has a detrimental effect to their mental health and quality of life.”
He also had the state of Nevada on an amicus brief in the<a href="https://oag.ca.gov/system/files/attachments/press-docs/Brief%20of%20Amici%20States%20in%20Supp%20of%20Appellees.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals</a> backing two minors, 11 and 15, who identified as transgender in a case on whether they could participate on a girls’ sports team in Arizona.
“Plaintiffs simply want to participate on their school’s girl’s sports teams with their friends,” the brief stated.
“They have not experienced any of the physiological changes associated with male puberty and have no ascertainable competitive advantage over their cisgender peers,” it continued, saying that the plaintiffs identified as “girls in all aspects of their lives since an early age.”
In another case, he disagreed with the Trump administration’s policy about only listing two sexes on passports, according to the<a href="https://lasvegassun.com/news/2025/mar/18/nevada-ag-among-12-to-weigh-in-on-transgender-pass/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> Las Vegas Sun</a>.

The Daily Wire reached out to the Ford campaign for comment. The race in the swing state is expected to be one of the most competitive gubernatorial races in the country next year.
Nor is Nevada the only state where transgender issues will be at the ballot box. Maine voters could soon consider a similar ban, along with restrictions on locker rooms, according to <a href="https://wgme.com/news/local/signature-push-aims-to-ban-trans-athletes-from-girls-sports-in-maine-ballot-initiative" target="_blank" rel="noopener">WGME News</a>. Maine is expected to be highly competitive in the Senate race with incumbent Republican Sen. Susan Collins, who could face off against Democratic Gov. Janet Mills are Graham Platner in the general election. Mills made national headlines earlier for her opposition to the Trump administration&#8217;s policies on the issue.
“I’ll comply with state and federal law,” Mills said in a famous exchange with the president in February, with both saying they would take the issue to court, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/maine-to-schools-were-sticking-with-trans-sports-policy-trump-admin-takes-action" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Daily Wire</a> reported.
“We are the federal law,” Trump said. “You better do it. Because you’re not going to get any federal funding at all if you don’t. And by the way, your population, even though it is somewhat liberal — although I did very well there — your population doesn’t want men playing in women’s sports. You better comply because otherwise you’re not getting any federal funding.”
On the federal level, President Donald Trump issued an Executive Order earlier this year to reign in funding for schools that allowed transgender-identifying athletes to participate in women&#8217;s sports.
&#8220;Therefore, it is the policy of the United States to rescind all funds from educational programs that deprive women and girls of fair athletic opportunities, which results in the endangerment, humiliation, and silencing of women and girls and deprives them of privacy. It shall also be the policy of the United States to oppose male competitive participation in women&#8217;s sports more broadly, as a matter of safety, fairness, dignity, and truth,&#8221; the <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/02/keeping-men-out-of-womens-sports/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">order</a> stated.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is reportedly preparing to announce a ban on transgender athletes competing in women&#8217;s sports categories early next year, following a scientific review concluding that biological males retain permanent physical advantages even after hormone treatment.

The pending rule change follows widespread controversy at the Paris 2024 Games, when two boxers — Algeria’s Imane Khelif and Taiwan’s Lin Yu-Ting — both won gold medals in women’s boxing after being previously disqualified by the International Boxing Association (IBA) for failing gender eligibility tests.

Despite the IBA determining that Khelif failed a chromosome test, the IOC allowed the athlete to compete based solely on passport gender, dismissing testosterone testing as “irrelevant.” The IBA has since reinstated mandatory sex testing and stated that Khelif would not be eligible for future women’s competition without verification.

Quinn, who claims trans athletes compete “without any inherent advantage,” became the first openly trans athlete to win an Olympic gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Games.

However, a 2021 report from the U.K. Sports Councils Equality Group contradicted that claim, finding that male-to-female transgender athletes retain significant physical advantages and “it is impossible to guarantee both safety and fairness” if they are allowed to compete in women’s events.

The upcoming IOC policy shift appears to align with that conclusion — acknowledging what many athletes and scientists have long said: that male biology provides lasting competitive benefits that testosterone reduction cannot erase.

Students in one of Ohio’s largest school districts cannot be forced to use the preferred pronouns or acknowledge the gender identity of their trans-identifying classmates, the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled on Thursday.
The <a href="https://www.opn.ca6.uscourts.gov/opinions.pdf/25a0307p-06.pdf">112-page ruling</a> smacks down a policy put into place by the Olentangy Local School District that punished students for discrimination by referring to trans-identifying classmates by their “biological pronouns” or “using gendered language they know is contrary to the other student’s identity.” The district encompasses a suburban area just north of Columbus and is Ohio’s fourth-largest.
The court ruled that the policy raises “serious free-speech concerns.” The case was brought by the advocacy group Parents Defending Education — which now goes by Defending Education. The conservative group argued that the policy was unconstitutional and forced students to adopt speech that went against their religious beliefs. Numerous other conservative and religious groups, including Alliance Defending Freedom and the Manhattan Institute, signed an amicus brief opposing the school district’s policy.
In its ruling, the appeals court said that the school district “introduced no evidence that the use of biological pronouns would disrupt school functions or qualify as harassment under Ohio law.”
“Our society continues to debate whether biological pronouns are appropriate or offensive — just as it continues to debate many other issues surrounding transgender rights. The school district may not skew this debate by forcing one side to change the way it conveys its message or by compelling it to express a different view,” the court added in its ruling.
Defending Education argued that a rule requiring students “to affirm the idea that gender is fluid” would force them to go against their firmly held religious beliefs that “biological sex is immutable and that individuals cannot transition from one sex to another.” It further argued that Olentangy Local School District’s policy on pronouns sought to control students’ speech outside of classroom hours.
After the policy went into effect, a concerned parent of a “devoutly Christian child” emailed the district in 2023, asking about the rule on pronoun use. The school district told the parent, “A student purposefully referring to another student by using gendered language they know is contrary to the other student’s identity would be an example of discrimination under Board Policy.” That email exchange led to the lawsuit filed by Defending Education. The parent who sent the email is part of the conservative organization.
The court was divided in its ruling, with Circuit Judge Jane Stranch arguing that students could completely avoid using third-person pronouns if their faith doesn’t allow them to affirm a gender identity. Stranch wrote in her dissent, “First, while it may be a new phenomenon for many to use new pronouns or to avoid using pronouns, it is certainly possible.” To prove her point, the judge wrote her entire dissent without using “gendered third person pronouns” other than in quotations.
“Second, while there may be a learning curve for young students who, on occasion, might forget and use non-preferred pronouns, the District’s Policies prohibit only the intentional use of non-preferred pronouns,” Stranch added.
The U.S. appeals court decision came on the same day that the U.S. Supreme Court issued a separate <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/historical-fact-scotus-allows-trump-admin-to-require-passport-holders-to-mark-biological-sex">ruling</a> on gender and allowed the Trump administration to move forward with plans to require Americans to mark their biological sex on passports. In a 6-3 unsigned opinion, the Supreme Court froze a lower court’s order that stopped the Trump administration from removing the “X” gender option on passports.
“Displaying passport holders’ sex at birth no more offends equal protection principles than displaying their country of birth — in both cases, the Government is merely attesting to a historical fact without subjecting anyone to differential treatment,” the court wrote. “And on this record, respondents have failed to establish that the Government’s choice to display biological sex ‘lack[s] any purpose other than a bare … desire to harm a politically unpopular group.&#8217;”

If you think men don’t belong in girls’ bathrooms, kids shouldn’t get irreversible sex changes, or cops should stop street prostitution of minors, Scott Wiener probably thinks you’re a bigot.
Indeed, it seems easy to offend Wiener, the San Francisco Democrat running for former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D.) seat — and anyone who holds mainstream or conventional views on biology, women’s or parents’ rights, or conservative governance frequently does.
Last month, Wiener found it “<a href="https://x.com/WomenAreReals/status/1982259108108743044" target="_blank" rel="noopener">gross</a>” that San Francisco women turned up at his annual Halloween event to protest his transgender policies. He called the late Charlie Kirk a “vile bigot”<a href="http://sd11.senate.ca.gov/news/senator-wiener-responds-governor-newsoms-comments-transgender-women-sports" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> before</a> and<a href="https://x.com/Scott_Wiener/status/1967604784757940280" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> after</a> the conservative activist was brutally, publicly murdered. Florida’s Republican governor, Ron DeSantis, and Tesla CEO Elon Musk are also “bigots,&#8221; and Republican diplomat Richard Grenell is a “<a href="https://x.com/Scott_Wiener/status/1673352593530294273" target="_blank" rel="noopener">self-hating gay man.</a>”
The people he approves of are very different — like a<a href="https://www.thesisters.org/roma" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> gay porn-purveying drag queen</a> from the anti-Catholic drag troupe Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, whom<a href="https://abc7news.com/post/sister-roma-state-capitol-protest-the-sisters-of-perpetual-indulgence-honored-in-sacramento/13348438/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> he honored</a> on the California Senate floor as “one of the very best community leaders,” as well as San Francisco’s former soft-on-crime district attorney George Gascón, with whom he has<a href="https://scott-wiener.medium.com/moving-toward-decarceration-191c99638896" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> collaborated</a> on legislation. San Francisco’s Folsom Street Fair, a public nudity-and-group sex festival whose attendees are<a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/sanfrancisco/comments/1nmtl0l/first_time_at_folsom_street_fair_tips/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> advised</a> to watch out for men peeing on one another, is a “<a href="https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=777812248385874" target="_blank" rel="noopener">beautiful community</a>” that Wiener is “proud to stand up for.”
Wiener’s personal proclivities loom large in the California State Senate, where he’s served since 2016. But they could soon have national relevance: Weiner <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/pro-trans-leftist-launches-bid-for-pelosis-seat-before-she-has-a-chance-to-announce-retirement" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> his intent to run for Pelosi’s seat a full two weeks before the veteran California Democratic operator announced she would retire after four decades in Washington.
Pelosi’s retirement will kick off a brutal succession bid in California. The former speaker <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/potential-pelosi-successor-pushed-a-bill-so-woke-even-the-new-york-times-has-doubts?author=Cameron+Arcand&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Potential+Pelosi+Successor+Pushed+A+Bill+So+Woke%2C+Even+The+New+York+Times+Has+Doubts" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reportedly favors</a> San Francisco Supervisor Connie Chan as her successor.
But Wiener is a real contender — which is bad news for anyone who wants California to keep its policies to itself.
<h3>Justice For Pedophiles</h3>
In the Golden State, Wiener has pushed socially seismic policies that allow male sex offenders live in female prisons if they claim to be transgender, to exempt gay sex offenders from the state registry if the minor is at least 14 and within a 10-year age gap, and to make California a “haven” for out-of-state kids to come for sex changes without their parents’ consent.
And these laws have already wreaked notable havoc. One of the first male inmates to enter California’s female prison is standing trial for allegedly raping two women cellmates — with the judge<a href="https://abc7chicago.com/post/pronoun-use-center-rape-case-involving-former-chowchilla-central-california-womens-facility-prisoner-tremaine-carroll/15696730/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> insisting</a> that the offender be referred to as a woman throughout the proceedings, even though he impregnated at least one female inmate.
Wiener also authored a bill that decriminalized streetwalking because he found anti-loitering laws “discriminatory” against transgender people and “people of color.” The law has effectively blocked cops from taking trafficked minors off the streets and led to an uncontrollable<a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/10/26/magazine/sex-trafficking-girls-la-figueroa.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> spike in sex trafficking</a> of young girls, so much so that <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/potential-pelosi-successor-pushed-a-bill-so-woke-even-the-new-york-times-has-doubts?author=Cameron+Arcand&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Potential+Pelosi+Successor+Pushed+A+Bill+So+Woke%2C+Even+The+New+York+Times+Has+Doubts" target="_blank" rel="noopener">even the New York Times</a> finds the law problematic.
But Wiener shows no signs of backing down. His critics say it’s due to the personal nature of his policy stances, which make it impossible to get him to moderate his legislation.
“Since I’ve been going to Sacramento to his legislative hearings, I’ve seen him treat us pretty badly, in public, during sessions,” said Julie Lane, co-founder of Women Are Real, a Bay Area feminist advocacy group that fights gender ideology. “He’ll have long discussions on his committees and as soon as it’s an issue we’re involved with, he’ll leave the room, or get on his phone, or say we’re ‘anti-trans activists.’”
“He won’t listen to us.”

Wiener was born in Philadelphia and grew up in New Jersey, where, after graduating from Harvard Law School, he clerked for the state supreme court justice who wrote a <a href="https://scholar.google.com/scholar_case?case=16151905477157446342" target="_blank" rel="noopener">landmark 1975 decision</a> deeming that a trans-identifying man should be treated as female in a marriage contract and could collect spousal support after his divorce.
He moved to San Francisco in 1997, practicing in a now-dissolved corporate law firm and working in the city attorney’s office before he was elected to the county’s Board of Supervisors.
There, according to one conservative local, he was “popular and moderate and even likable” when he first started.
“What we’ve learned over time is that career politicians start slipping further left year after year. And the farther up the ladder they go, they get even more left,” said Richie Greenberg, a leader of the successful recall campaign of the city’s former left-wing district attorney Chesa Boudin.
Greenberg added that many San Franciscans see Wiener as a “carpetbagger” who went to Sacramento as a state senator to force changes in the city that he couldn’t make as a local lawmaker.
“What he supports is often not agreed on by constituents here, and that’s what gets locals upset,” he said. “He’s looked at as a bully, among other things. He has passed legislation that has stripped away the ability of cities to control things.”
Wiener touts his past post on the national board of directors of the Human Rights Campaign — a radical George Soros-funded organization behind the push to force transgenderism into the medical system and K-12 schools.
He’s done the same thing in the state legislature. Wiener has proved a powerful figure on the California state senate’s public safety committee, where he’s fought to soften criminal penalties and permit open public drug injection sites. Last year, he caused a furor when he opposed making it a felony to purchase 16 and 17-year-olds for sex, stating that “Sending an 18-year-old high school senior to state prison for offering his 17-year-old classmate $20 to fool around isn’t smart criminal justice policy.”
Those who have opposed him in hearing rooms or in the real world say he either ignores them completely or hits them with emotional arguments divorced from reality.
Consider SB 132, his 2020 law that allowed men into female prisons — and which, from its early days, led to a long string of complaints by women that some of their male cellmates were threatening, harassing, and assaulting them.
Amie Ichikawa, founder of the group Woman II Woman, which advocates for women prisoners, said Wiener’s office has answered her about other, unrelated issues but continues to ignore her reports about this law.
“I had gotten a phone call about a rape, and I said, ‘I need to speak to Sen. Wiener about SB 132 and the people taking advantage of it — I can’t take another phone call about another rape,’” Ichikawa said. “I never got any responses to that.”
Later, she went to the state capitol and personally handed Wiener letters from female inmates themselves about SB 132. “The letters were pleading with him and the governor to remember them, said that we’re all survivors of sexual abuse, how can you do this to us?” she said.
He never responded.
Last year, one of Wiener’s Republican State Senate colleagues responded to the growing reports of SB 132’s safety risks by introducing a bill that would have established separate housing for the trans-identifying males and banned convicted sex offenders from moving into women’s prisons at all.
Wiener opposed these proposed reforms during a hearing and claimed the state’s sex offender registry targeted “LGBTQ people.”
“We also know that LGBTQ people have been massively and disproportionately targeted and subjected to being slammed onto the sex offender registry,” Wiener<a href="https://calmatters.digitaldemocracy.org/hearings/258956?t=1479&amp;f=e17600b674ef3117c38ca500eb9270ff" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> said</a> at the time. “That’s the whole history of the sex offender registry.”
<h3>&#8220;Just A Little Bit Off&#8221;</h3>
A longtime Bay Area activist who knows and likes Wiener personally agreed that he fails to look at the true effects of his legislation — although she attributes the reason to the powerful funding groups behind progressive policies he pushes.
“I think he has good intentions,” said Naomi Akers, whom Wiener nominated for the San Francisco Entertainment Commission in 2010. “I think there are a few things that are just a little bit off because I don’t think he’s getting informed from the community, but from a funder-driven activist agenda that is bypassing the community.”
Formerly incarcerated herself, Akers said most former prisoners within the prisoner rights organization she worked with opposed SB 132, but said, “I guess we have to go along with it.”
“I said something about it, and I got fired,” she said.
Akers saw similar issues with Wiener’s SB 357, which legalized “loitering with the intent to commit prostitution.” The law has been<a href="https://www.city-journal.org/article/predators-paradise" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> blamed</a> for a spike in sex trafficking and for turning city neighborhoods into dangerous red light districts.
“I think it harms the residents and young women in a community,” she said of the law. “I think it’s unsafe for children and other women walking around. It degrades the safety of a neighborhood and has a detrimental effect on everyone.&#8221;
Parents who have fought Wiener on bills like SB 107, which grants “sanctuary” for gender-confused youth to run away to California for sex-change drugs and procedures, see outright hostility when they voice their opinions in hearing rooms.
<h3>&#8220;Name-Calling Is All He Has.&#8221;</h3>
“Senator Wiener habitually hurls derogatory remarks at us because he cannot engage in a coherent conversation that can justify placing males in females’ spaces,” said Erin Friday, co-lead of Our Duty, a group for parents of gender-confused kids. “He cannot rationalize sex-rejecting interventions, especially the removal of sex organs of children. Devolving to name-calling is all he has.”
In 2023, he co-authored a bill that could have stripped custody from parents who didn’t “affirm” their child’s transgender identity. He blamed public outcry on “a pretty massive misinformation campaign about this bill by the right-wing media,” and claimed opponents wanted “to erase trans kids” and mount “an attack on gay and lesbian kids.”
Yet even as he regularly attacks Californians who oppose him and has consistently voted to lower penalties for violent crime, Wiener has been quick to build up his own defenses — most notably with a co-authored law that Gov. Gavin Newsom (D.) signed in 2023 to allow politicians to use unlimited donor money for private security.
“Since I was first elected to public office in 2010, we’ve seen a terrifying spike in threats and violence against elected officials — myself included,” he said when the legislation was unveiled. “It’s been harrowing to deal with endless threats on social media; I’ve gotten thousands over the past few years.”
The race to replace Pelosi has yet to take shape, but Wiener seems poised to take the lead. The day he announced his candidacy, he raised more than $730,000 to add to his existing<a href="https://www.fec.gov/data/committee/C00909283/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> $1 million war chest</a>. His top donors include<a href="https://sfstandard.com/2025/10/24/scott-wiener-raises-730k-first-day-campaign-nancy-pelosi/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> powerful</a> unions and real estate developers who have backed his laws to override local zoning laws to build dense housing blocs.
Still, Greenberg thinks Wiener’s public manner could hurt him if the race turns competitive.
“He is lashing out,” he said. “It’s like he and Newsom both took petulant pills. I don’t know what happened in the last few months to make them so angry and so off-putting.”

The Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that the Trump administration can move forward with plans to remove the &#8220;X&#8221; option on passports and require Americans to mark their biological sex on passports.
In a 6-3 unsigned <a href="https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/25pdf/25a319_i4dj.pdf">opinion</a>, the Supreme Court froze a lower court&#8217;s order that stopped the Trump administration from enforcing the passport gender policy. The court&#8217;s ruling was not a final decision on the case, but the majority of justices agreed that the Trump administration is likely to succeed on the merits of the case.
&#8220;Displaying passport holders&#8217; sex at birth no more offends equal protection principles than displaying their country of birth — in both cases, the Government is merely attesting to a historical fact without subjecting anyone to differential treatment,&#8221; the court wrote. &#8220;And on this record, respondents have failed to establish that the Government&#8217;s choice to display biological sex &#8216;lack[s] any purpose other than a bare &#8230; desire to harm a politically unpopular group.'&#8221;
The three liberal justices dissented, with Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson writing in a dissenting opinion that &#8220;the plaintiffs will be subject to imminent, concrete injury if the policy goes into effect.&#8221;
&#8220;The Court nonetheless fails to spill any ink considering the plaintiffs, opting instead to intervene in the Government’s favor without equitable justification, and in a manner that permits harm to be inflicted on the most vulnerable party,&#8221; Jackson added in her dissent, which was joined by Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan.
U.S. passports have had only male and female designations throughout the country&#8217;s history until the Biden administration <a href="https://2021-2025.state.gov/x-gender-marker-available-on-u-s-passports-starting-april-11/">created</a> the &#8220;X&#8221; category to represent &#8220;unspecified or another gender identity&#8221; in 2022. The administration at the time framed it as a &#8220;milestone&#8221; that would &#8220;better serve all U.S. citizens.&#8221;
Since the 1990s, the State Department has allowed Americans, in some circumstances, to choose the gender option on passports that does not align with their biological sex. The Trump administration also wants to put a stop to that practice.
The Trump policy was blocked by a federal judge in Massachusetts after a trans-identifying woman from West Virginia sued when she was prevented from choosing the male option on her passport, NBC News <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/supreme-court/supreme-court-allows-trump-enforce-passport-restrictions-targeting-tra-rcna235999">reported</a>. In the Trump administration&#8217;s filing with the Supreme Court, Solicitor General D. John Sauer <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/supreme-court-trump-administration-new-passport-policy-x-marker/">wrote</a>, &#8220;Private citizens cannot force the government to use inaccurate sex designations on identification documents that fail to reflect the person&#8217;s biological sex — especially not on identification documents that are government property and an exercise of the President&#8217;s constitutional and statutory power to communicate with foreign governments.&#8221;
Since taking office for a second term on January 20, President Donald Trump has issued numerous orders recognizing biological reality and pushing back against leftist gender theories. In Trump&#8217;s <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/defending-women-from-gender-ideology-extremism-and-restoring-biological-truth-to-the-federal-government/">executive order</a> on &#8220;Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government,&#8221; the president told the Secretary of State to require that passports &#8220;accurately reflect the holder’s sex.&#8221;

The captains of Angel City Football Club, a professional soccer team, have labeled their teammate Elizabeth Eddy racist and transphobic after the player called in an <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/10/27/opinion/national-womens-soccer-league-must-adopt-gender-standards-to-keep-growing/">op-ed</a> for stricter gender guidelines in the National Women&#8217;s Soccer League (NWSL).
Sarah Gorden and Angelina Anderson claim the entire Angel City FC is disgusted with Eddy&#8217;s op-ed.
The piece, published in the New York Post on October 27, stated that women should be the only players competing in the NWSL in order to grow and protect the league. Eddy said, &#8220;I’m concerned that without clarity about who the league is for, it will lose its identity and its momentum.&#8221;
The professional soccer player suggested gene testing, which other sports leagues have implemented, as one way to ensure the women playing women&#8217;s soccer are actually women.
&#8220;The NWSL must adopt a clear standard,&#8221; Eddy wrote. &#8220;One option is all players must be born with ovaries, as the FA requires. Another option is an SRY gene test, like those World Athletics and World Boxing implemented.&#8221;
Her teammates responded negatively.
&#8220;The undertones come across as transphobic, and racist as well,&#8221; Sarah Gorden said at a press conference, the recording of which was posted to the team&#8217;s official <a href="https://x.com/weareangelcity/status/1984318024518631508?s=12&amp;t=A3fcQmBTc_xjf_6w2Ow4nA">X account</a>.

Gorden went on to say in the video that the op-ed, combined with the featured image being of a black player, was &#8220;inherently racist.&#8221;
&#8220;As a mixed woman with a black family, I&#8217;m devastated by this article,&#8221; Gorden added.
Anderson said that when she thinks of Los Angeles, she thinks of inclusivity, which Eddy actually said she stands for in her op-ed.
&#8220;Addressing this challenge entails remembering why women’s sports categories exist in the first place,&#8221; Eddy said. &#8220;Not to exclude but to create a space where female athletes can physically compete on equal footing.&#8221;
Angel City FC&#8217;s season ended Sunday in a loss to Chicago.

Loudoun County Public Schools pursued punishment against boys who complained about being filmed by a girl in the boys&#8217; locker room — and not the girl who was filming, who identifies as transgender — even though the girl repeatedly changed her story about purported anti-transgender harassment, a lawsuit filed Wednesday said.
The Virginia school district doled out 10-day suspensions to boys who asked each other why a girl was in the boys&#8217; locker room, even though officials&#8217; interviews with a multitude of teachers and students failed to corroborate the girl&#8217;s claims that the boys had denigrated, threatened, and ordered her to leave, the suit said.
A lawsuit filed Wednesday accuses district officials of deleting at least one other recording the female student made of boys using the bathroom, leaking confidential information to a left-wing PAC that it says defamed the boys, and declining to discipline a Muslim student who was uncomfortable with a girl in the boys&#8217; locker room, only two Christian ones.
The incident occurred at the same school, Stone Bridge, where a<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/loudoun-county-schools-tried-to-conceal-sexual-assault-against-daughter-in-bathroom-father-says"> transgender rapist struck</a> in 2021. Loudoun County Public Schools officials covered up that rape because it would have posed an impediment to passing a transgender policy, Policy 8040, which allowed transgenders to use the opposite sex&#8217;s bathrooms and locker rooms.
The school district is now using that policy to go after the pair of Christian boys at the center of this case — even after the federal Department of Education&#8217;s Office of Civil Rights said last month that the district could lose federal funding unless it cancels the boys&#8217; suspensions and apologizes to them.
Lawyers for America First Legal and the Founding Freedoms Law Center, which filed the suit on behalf of two boys, said it&#8217;s another example of the school district engaging in misconduct to promote transgender ideology.
The girl originally stated that the threat occurred on March 17, but later clarified it was on March 21. Originally, she said a trio of boys &#8220;constantly screamed at the [female student] calling him a ‘Boy-girl,’ ‘It,’ and ‘Girl Female,’&#8221; and &#8220;got in her face,&#8221; saying &#8220;if you ever come in here again, we&#8217;re gonna beat your ass.&#8221; But she later said she didn&#8217;t know who shouted at her, and that she &#8220;barely remembered&#8221; the incident.
The school interviewed more than a dozen teachers and students, none of whom had heard these comments, and even the girl&#8217;s friends stated that she never mentioned it to them when discussing her locker room woes, the suit said.
One of the boys told investigators that none of them had ever addressed any comment to the girl or used any disparaging language, but simply asked in a conversation among themselves why there was a girl in the locker room.
The girl specifically said that one of the students who made the threat was a Muslim student. The most specific allegations were against that student: she said that during science class last year, he also told her &#8220;You guys are a disappointment to humanity,&#8221; referring to transgenders, and would &#8220;constantly misgender&#8221; her.
Loudoun County Public Schools&#8217; Title IX investigators determined that the Muslim student did not make the &#8220;disappointment to humanity&#8221; comment, the<a href="https://aflegal.org/press-release/america-first-legal-and-founding-freedoms-law-center-file-federal-lawsuit-against-lcps-seeking-emergency-relief-to-stop-boys-suspension-for-complaining-about-a-girl-in-their-locker-room/?utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=ncl_amplify&amp;utm_campaign=251029-afl_email_395_amended_complaint_against_loudoun_county_public_schools_revealing_new_details_of_sham_title_ix_investigation_and_alleging_conspiracy_with_a_political_action_committee_to_retaliate_against_students_full_file_10292025"> suit</a> said. Still, the school system sided with the girl, citing her &#8220;credibility.&#8221;
In disciplinary proceedings against the boys, Loudoun County Public Schools also stated that a video captured one of the students calling her a &#8220;girl-boy,&#8221; even though documents obtained through the lawsuit show that school investigators specifically said they heard no such thing. A speaker can be heard saying “girl-boy” three times between the start of the video and the 0:05 timestamp. The speaker then yells the same phrase twice at the 0:06 timestamp and the 0:08 timestamp,&#8221; the Title IX charges said. In reality, the Title IX investigator said, “I cannot understand any audio that’s on it.”
The school system dropped the charges against the Muslim boy while pursuing them against the Christian boys. It sent the Muslim boy a letter stating that the investigation was closed because, even if the allegations were true, they would not constitute prohibited harassment. Then they alleged the same facts to the Christian boys and said they remained under investigation.
The charges against all three boys left out the &#8220;beat your ass&#8221; comment, seeming to acknowledge that there was no evidence for it while avoiding mention of it to inflate the girl&#8217;s credibility.
Charging documents stated that the boy who asked, &#8220;Why is there a girl in here?&#8221; also said, &#8220;Get out of here,&#8221; suggesting that he was ordering the girl to leave. This contradicts the school district&#8217;s transcript, which said &#8220;get out of here&#8221; came from a different speaker. &#8220;&#8216;Get out of here&#8217; was clearly said from a distance away from the Female Student&#8230;as a colloquial expression of disbelief, similar to saying “You’ve got to be joking,&#8217;” the lawsuit said. It said the recordings were made in a noisy, crowded locker room.
The school system seized the girl&#8217;s phone and &#8220;deleted a recording of yet another boy using the bathroom whom the Female Student had recorded, thus denying the Plaintiffs the opportunity to present potentially exonerating evidence,&#8221; the lawsuit said. A fourth recording went missing.
The school district dropped charges against the Muslim boy after a mosque official reached out to school board member Arben Istrefi, who said he was doing what he could to resolve the situation. On May 20, Newsweek reported that School Board Chair Melinda Mansfield said it was &#8220;untrue&#8221; that the boys were being subjected to the Title IX disciplinary process, even though it was true, the lawsuit said.
Loudoun County Public Schools officials leaked confidential information to a left-wing political action committee, Loudoun for All, that &#8220;raises and spends money for attack advertisements against school board candidates and members who disagree with the policies and decisions of LCPS’s Superintendent Aaron Spence and the school board chair, Melinda Mansfield,&#8221; the suit said.
That PAC put out a press release that represented that &#8220;24 staff and student witnesses” corroborated that the boys had been engaged in “relentless harassment over the course of a year&#8221; against the female student — a claim that was false, the lawsuit said.
Loudoun for All overlaps with a group that, The Daily Wire reported in 2021, rallied to dox, hack, and<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/loudoun-teachers-target-parents-critical-race-theory-hacking"> punish parents</a> who questioned school policies.
The school system&#8217;s cover-up of the transgender rapist likely would have gone uncovered were it not for the county&#8217;s sheriff, a Republican. The sheriff is investigating the girl for recording in a locker room, though it is unclear how Loudoun County Public Schools&#8217; apparent deletion of some of the evidence could affect that.
