With the backing of the Trump administration, Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) put forth new legislation on Thursday that would protect children across the country from “irreversible chemical and surgical mutilation” through transgender procedures, according to a copy of the bill obtained by The Daily Wire. 
Named after prominent <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/i-went-through-this-as-a-child-chloe-cole-praises-supreme-court-ruling-against-transgender-drugs">detransitioner</a> Chloe Cole, the <a href="https://www.blackburn.senate.gov/services/files/206AFD7F-2470-4E86-926B-17EDB5F7476A">bill</a> would ban doctors from doing transgender surgical procedures such as removing the breasts of girls who identify as boys or various types of genital mutilation. It would also protect children who identify as transgender from being put on puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones. 
“No child should be pushed into irreversible chemical and surgical mutilation under the guise of so-called ‘gender-affirming care,’” Blackburn told The Daily Wire. “The Chloe Cole Act would put a stop to this barbaric abuse of children and give those who have suffered the consequences of these harmful procedures the chance to fight back.”
At the age of 15, Cole underwent a double mastectomy while experiencing extreme confusion about her gender. She has since come to regret undergoing transgender procedures and has become a vocal advocate to protect kids from the life-altering treatments. 
Republican Senators Eric Schmitt (MO), Tim Sheehy (MT), and Rick Scott (FL) also signed onto the legislation.  
Rep. Bob Onder (R-MO) introduced the companion measure in the House. 
“As a member of Congress, a doctor, a parent, and an American, I am committed to protecting our nation’s children,” he said. “That’s why I am proud to introduce the Chloe Cole Act, a landmark bill that will put a permanent stop to one of the most dangerous and barbaric medical procedures in modern history.”
Between 2019 and 2023, transgender surgeries were <a href="https://donoharmmedicine.org/2024/10/08/stop-the-harm-national-database-child-trans-industry/">done</a> on 5,747 kids, 13,994 were given sex change treatments, and 8,579 kids were put on puberty blockers. 
The Chloe Cole Act would also allow kids to sue any hospital, clinic, or medical professional who participated in putting them on transgender procedures. 
The legislation is backed by the Justice Department, which <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-admin-backs-nationwide-push-to-protect-kids-from-transgender-procedures?author=Leif+Le+Mahieu&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Trump+Admin+Backs+Nationwide+Push+To+Protect+Kids+From+Transgender+Procedures">announced</a> its support for the measure earlier this month. 
“The Department of Justice has heard from far too many families who have been devastated by mutilative medical procedures that fly in the face of basic biology,” said Attorney General Pam Bondi. “While we continue our ongoing legal battle to protect children, we appreciate Senator Marsha Blackburn and Congressman Bob Onder who are working diligently alongside us to end these abusive procedures once and for all.”
Organizations like the American Principles Project and Independent Women have also endorsed the proposal. Over two dozen states have already taken action to protect kids from transgender procedures at the state level.

A 10,000 member-strong group called the Socialist Rifle Association has been conducting weapons training for transgender and Marxist-Leninist extremists, and its members have been linked to at least four major crimes, including the firebombing of Tesla dealerships, a Daily Wire investigation found.
Members stock up on assault rifles and tactical gear like gas masks, and receive membership cards bearing an image of Karl Marx and the quote, &#8220;Any attempt to disarm workers must be frustrated, by force if necessary.&#8221; Videos show them preparing for engagements that look more like war than self-defense, running through the woods and hitting long-range targets. A common logo is the transgender flag with an assault rifle and the phrase, &#8220;defend equality.&#8221;
SRA members say their interest is to defend against fascists and Nazis. But according to court documents, they apply those labels loosely, citing incidents like the January 6 Capitol protests, where guns were largely absent, as reason to prepare for war.
Radical leftist organizations have come under increased scrutiny since the assassination of Charlie Kirk. On Wednesday night, for example, Trump declared Antifa, the violent &#8220;anti-fascist&#8221; network known for its street protests, as a terrorist organization.
The Socialist Rifle Association has a <a href="https://www.instagram.com/utahsra/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">chapter in Utah</a>, where Kirk was shot. It advertises &#8220;inclusive firearms education,&#8221; with a rainbow-colored target and the tagline &#8220;women-friendly, BIPOC-friendly, queer-friendly.&#8221; One of its posters says &#8220;I will die fighting for this cause,&#8221; a quote attributed to John Brown, &#8220;a radical abolitionist who was murdered by the capitalist slave-owning class.&#8221; On June 19, the Utah chapter asked members to &#8220;Support Arturo Gamboa, an Antiracist accused of murder.&#8221;
The chapter and SRA&#8217;s national headquarters both told The Daily Wire that Tyler Robinson, who is charged with murdering Kirk in that state, was not a member, but did not answer whether his transgender-identifying boyfriend Lance Twiggs was, citing confidentiality policies.
The radical organization has, however, spread disinformation to label Kirk a threat. On SRA&#8217;s Reddit forum, a thread falsely <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/SocialistRA/comments/1152sxp/charlie_kirk_ceo_of_turning_point_usa_is_openly/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">claimed</a> years ago that &#8220;Charlie Kirk, CEO of Turning Point USA, is openly calling for the lynching of transgender individuals.&#8221; After Kirk was assassinated, SRA members mocked him, expressed enthusiasm, and wished that the man who shot President Donald Trump had similar marksmanship.
Four of the 13 <a href="https://socialistra.org/leadership/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">national leaders</a> currently listed on SRA&#8217;s national web page go by &#8220;they&#8221; pronouns. On September 13, hours after Kirk&#8217;s assassination, the organization put out a statement that did not mention Kirk, but instead said, &#8220;The Socialist Rifle Association opposes in the strongest terms the stripping away of gun rights for our <a href="https://blog.socialistra.org/official-statement-on-recent-doj-discussions/">trans comrades</a>.&#8221;

<h3>&#8220;Hospitalize your local fascist&#8221;</h3>
The Daily Wire was able to identify several violent crimes linked to Socialist Rifle Association members, with indications in each case that the violence was politically motivated.
On July 4, a group of militants allegedly swarmed law enforcement at an ICE facility in Alvarado, Texas and &#8220;opened fire at the unarmed DHS correctional officers.&#8221; One of them, Benjamin Hanil Song, is charged with shooting a police officer in the neck. Song was a member of the Socialist Rifle Association&#8217;s Dallas-Fort Worth chapter, a fellow group member told <a href="https://www.keranews.org/news/2025-07-22/shooting-at-alvarado-ice-facility-other-attacks-the-new-normal" target="_blank" rel="noopener">KERA</a>. Of the 10 co-defendants charged with attempted murder of a federal officer, at least two claimed to be transgender: Cameron Arnold, who went by Autumn Hill, and Bradford Morris, who went by Meagan Morris. Authorities recovered <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/immigration/2025/08/17/alvarado-shooting-transgender-antifascist-immigration/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">nine firearms</a> in the home where Arnold lived with about six other transgenders.
On March 18 in Las Vegas, Paul Hyon Kim set on fire and shot up five Teslas, leaving a Molotov cocktail inside one, <a href="https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/69803347/1/united-states-v-kim/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">charging documents</a> said. Tesla had, of course, been treated as a political symbol by the left because of Elon Musk&#8217;s support for Donald Trump.
The court papers said, &#8220;Kim has an Instagram page where he follows the Socialist Rifle Association&#8217;s page. In a post from October 2018, on the Reno Socialist Rifle Association&#8217;s Instagram page, is a picture of a subject that appears to be Paul Kim training with firearms.&#8221; Law enforcement said it retrieved a bolt-action rifle, an AK style rifle, and a newspaper article &#8220;about a mass shooting incident&#8221; from his apartment.
On January 20, the day Donald Trump was sworn in as president, <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.ord.185254/gov.uscourts.ord.185254.1.1.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Adam Matthew Lansky</a> allegedly threw Molotov cocktails at a Tesla dealership in Salem, Oregon. He returned to the same dealership a month later and shot it up using a semi-automatic rifle with a suppressor, according to court documents.
&#8220;Lansky is a competitive shooter and a former member of the Socialist Rifle Association. He is skilled and well-practiced in the use of firearms and combat scenarios. The [improvised incendiary devices] used by Lansky were all manufactured by him,&#8221; prosecutors <a href="https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/69768879/22/united-states-v-lansky/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>.

In October 2021, <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.flnd.353608/gov.uscourts.flnd.353608.2.0.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Daniel Alan Baker</a> of Florida was sentenced to 44 months in prison for threats. After the pro-Trump Capitol protest on January 6, 2021, Baker offered &#8220;cash rewards for information leading to the verified identification of an and every individual in this video. Don’t worry, I wont ne [sic] going to the cops. We have decided to handle this ourselves.&#8221;
Prosecutors said &#8220;Baker has made multiple violent threats to those he claims are white supremacists, fascists, United States persons with different ideologies than his, and allies of the United States. In addition, Baker has promoted the killing of United States military officers.&#8221; In 2017, Baker joined &#8220;a sub-affiliate of Kurdistan&#8217;s Working Party, which has been designated a Foreign Terrorist Organization,&#8221; they said.
As the 2020 election approached, he wrote, &#8220;God I hope the right tries a coup Nov 3rd cuz I&#8217;m so f&#8211;king down to slay enemies again.&#8221; On December 14, 2020, he posted a photo to his Instagram account that read &#8220;Hospitalize your local fascist&#8221; and &#8220;#stabnazis.&#8221;
Baker told prosecutors that he was a <a href="https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/59305500/81/united-states-v-baker/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">member</a> of the Socialist Rifle Association, and said, &#8220;I believe that the philosophy of an anarchism leads to socialism. And I believe that the government should provide for everyone&#8217;s housing, healthcare, food. I even believe that the government should distribute weapons to people who are loyal citizens.&#8221;

<h3 class="md-end-block md-heading">&#8216;As a transgender socialist, half the country wants me dead&#8217;</h3>
The Socialist Rifle Association was incorporated in Kansas in 2019 by Alexander Tackett, who later began identifying as a woman named Alex Norma Tackett. A website for a queer bookstore he owned <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20221207035629/https://sweetreadsict.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>, &#8220;Lilith [it/she] &amp; Alex Tackett [she/it] are a trans lesbian couple living in Wichita with their six-year-old son.&#8221;
Its co-founder was Faye Ecklar, who explained that &#8220;I believe firearms ownership is necessary because as a transgender socialist, half the country wants me dead, and the other half is happy to watch. Plus, the means of production won&#8217;t seize themselves.&#8221;
According to Ecklar, a <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/SocialistRA/comments/cf9i4r/wait_is_the_sra_mostly_tankies/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">survey</a> of SRA&#8217;s members found that it was 30% anarchist, 30% Marxist-Leninist or Maoist, 30% Democratic Socialist, and 10% other. One-third were &#8220;LGBTQ&#8221; and 8% were transgender, according to a 2019 <a href="https://newrepublic.com/article/154110/antifa-arming-trump-crackdown" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New Republic</a> article titled, &#8220;How Antifa Is Arming Itself Against a Trump Crackdown.&#8221;
With chapters in states across the country, organizing for in-person events and online on Discord, by 2020, the group claimed &#8220;<a href="https://x.com/SocialistRA/status/1323771820114350081" target="_blank" rel="noopener">10,000 comrades.&#8221;</a> According to the IRS, federal tax-exempt status was revoked in May 2023 after it failed to file financial returns for three years. The IRS said it could not comment.

The nonprofit is still credentialed at the state level in Kansas. Its 2022 and 2023 filings listed Christopher Killips as president, but in internal documents he went by a gruesome female name, &#8220;Killashandra Killips.&#8221; Its most recent filing, in 2024, lists as president Brett Bieder, who goes by &#8220;Whargoul&#8221; and serves as vice president of the <a href="https://nippersinklibrary.org/about-us/board-of-trustees-2/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nippersink Library</a> Board of Trustees in Illinois.
A documentary crew interviewed members of the Maryland chapter, which included many members who shared fixations that have become a recurrent theme in shooters. The chapter&#8217;s treasurer described himself as &#8220;a non-binary, trans-femme, commie gun-owner&#8221; who likes &#8220;video games and martial arts.&#8221;
The chapter holds &#8220;Queer Range Days&#8221; and &#8220;POC Range Days.&#8221; On September 10, it announced an upcoming event training &#8220;Arab folks and those hailing from the middle east&#8221; in firearms, advertising it with <a href="https://www.instagram.com/maryland_sra/p/DOcA1LpDRE4/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a picture</a> of what looks like Osama bin Laden and Keffiyah-wearing Hamas terrorists.

Senator Mazie Hirono (D-HI) admitted to FBI Director Kash Patel during a Tuesday hearing that there are, in fact, biological differences between men and women that can greatly impact their physical capabilities.
Hirono, who has repeatedly advocated for men to be allowed to self-identify as females and play in girls&#8217; and women&#8217;s sports leagues, complained during the hearing that FBI applicants were expected to do one pull-up regardless of whether they were male or female.

&#8220;We are requiring the physical program at BFTC (Basic Field Training Course) at Quantico because FBI agents carrying guns in the field, have to chase down bad guys, and do really hard work,&#8221; Patel replied. &#8220;The physical fitness standards of those agents —&#8221;
&#8220;So are you requiring these kinds of pull-ups?&#8221; Hirono interrupted.
&#8220;We are requiring everybody to pass the standards at BFTC,&#8221; Patel replied. &#8220;If you want to chase down a bad guy and put him in handcuffs you better be able to do a pull-up.&#8221;
&#8220;The reason I ask is that there are concerns about whether or not being able to do these kinds of harsh pull-ups is really required of FBI agents,&#8221; Hirono tried again.
&#8220;Doing one pull-up is not harsh,&#8221; Patel shot back, adding, &#8220;And there are always medical exemptions to them.&#8221;
Hirono, as recently as April of this year, was complaining about Republican efforts to bar men from playing in women&#8217;s sports in spite of the same &#8220;physiological differences&#8221; she raised concerns about at Tuesday&#8217;s hearing.

Tyler Robinson, the suspected killer of popular conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, lived with a transgender-identifying partner, according to reports.
Robinson, who authorities arrested on Thursday night, “lived with his transgender partner,” Fox News reporter Brooke Singman posted on X, citing unnamed sources.
“The individual, who is a male transitioning to a female, is fully cooperating with the FBI,” Singman said of the suspected shooter’s apparent romantic partner.
The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh <a href="https://x.com/MattWalshBlog/status/1966908189217353890">said</a> he also confirmed the identity of Robinson&#8217;s partner.
“I’ve independently confirmed that Charlie Kirk’s assassin did in fact have a transgender boyfriend. This is LGBT extremism. A lot more will be revealed soon. The ‘far right’ narrative is absolute bulls***. Not even close to true. Don’t fall for it,” Walsh <a href="https://x.com/MattWalshBlog/status/1966908189217353890">posted</a>.
The revelation about Robinson&#8217;s relationship has come after a torrent of evidence <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/details-revealed-about-suspected-charlie-kirk-assassins-leftist-ideology">suggesting</a> that the suspect is on the political Left, and he allegedly targeted the conservative Kirk over politics. GOP Governor Spencer Cox of Utah said on Saturday that the suspect was “deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology.”
The bullet casings in the suspected assassin&#8217;s weapon had anti-fascist slogans and phrases written on them, such as “Hey Fascist! Catch!” Another included the lyrics from a famous Italian anti-fascist song called “Bella Ciao.”
Family members told authorities that Robinson, a 22-year-old from Utah, had become increasingly political in recent years. The suspect disliked Kirk in particular; at a recent dinner, he spoke of how much he disliked and disagreed with Kirk while mentioning that the conservative planned to visit Utah soon for an event at Utah Valley University.
Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, was assassinated at the Utah Valley event.
On Friday, Cox said that the assassin’s bullet that killed Kirk was also an attack on the fundamental values of the United States. 
“This is certainly about the tragic death, assassination, political assassination, of Charlie Kirk,” said Cox. “But it is also much bigger than an attack on an individual. It is an attack on all of us.  It is an attack on the American experiment. It is an attack on our ideals. This cuts to the very foundation of who we are, of who we have been, and who we could be in better times.”

When people say “political violence is wrong,” does that change the underlying substructure of thought that leads to a massive elevation in violence in the country of the political variety?
I don&#8217;t think it means anything to just say that political violence is wrong, because there are actual substrates of thought that lead to the elevation of the violence that compel fringe actors to go out and do things like murder Charlie Kirk.
Thus, having our politicians simply go out there and say, “We&#8217;ve got to take down the temperature; we all have to use better language,” is absolutely true, but it isn&#8217;t specific enough.

Violence, which affects so many different people of so many different political persuasions, is an affliction of America, and coming together is what we ought to be doing, not pointing fingers of blame.”
Hakeem Jeffries said, “This moment requires leadership that brings the American people together, as opposed to trying to further divide us. Political violence in any form against any American is unacceptable, and should be denounced by everyone. And moving forward, we have to figure out a better way to come together, not as Democrats or Republicans, but as Americans.”
All of this is correct.
But all of this is incredibly vague.
I want to talk about something that we all know is true, but nobody seems to want to say: Not all ideologies are equally prone to violence.
When there is a shooting, a mass shooting at a synagogue, a mass shooting at a church, when Charlie Kirk is shot, everybody&#8217;s mind immediately goes to this: What are the likeliest probabilities in terms of who did the shooting? 
Everyone does this. We cannot pretend that we are blind to the realities of the world. When there is a shooting at a synagogue, I can tell you my mind goes to two places: radical Muslim or white supremacist. Those are usually the options. If there&#8217;s a shooting at a church, your mind might go to a trans radical or a radical Muslim. 
That&#8217;s where your mind is going to go. And this is leaving aside people who are generally mentally ill or where there&#8217;s no political ideology involved. If there is a political ideology involved, your mind immediately goes to the movements that are likely to drive people toward murder.
Not every ideology is prone to this. No one thought that when Charlie Kirk was shot, it was because of his stance on low taxes. No one thought that. We differ on all sorts of politics in this country. Nobody thought that a debate about marginal tax rates was why Charlie was shot. Nobody believes Charlie Kirk was murdered because of his stance on energy policy.

In order for an ideology, for a movement to coalesce in such a way that it allows for violence — the sort of bubbling of violence that lies at the outskirts of a movement — there have to be some preconditions.
I&#8217;ve been talking a lot about lions and scavengers. What we are seeing here is the scavengers at work. 
The basic philosophy of the scavenger is very simple: All models and civilizations are merely guises for power. My failure is a result of one of those corrupt power systems. There&#8217;s a great conspiracy out there. I am the victim. I&#8217;m being targeted. I am the actual victim. 
And thus, if there is a great conspiracy that is targeting me for destruction, I must respond in kind with violence.
This is how you get to the idiotic notion that speech is violence. 
Those are the three elements: “Morals and civilizations that I don&#8217;t like are simply guises for power,” “My failure within that system is a result of that great conspiracy and I am the victim,” and “It is an existential threat to me and therefore I must act out with violence and harm somebody.”
Let me give you three examples, and I&#8217;m going to take them from the top death threats I received. 
I receive an enormous number of death threats. I have 24/7 security on me, on my family. I literally go nowhere without an entire team of security at this point in my life. And that is because of things like what happened to Charlie.
There are three main wings that I get these threats from: Trans ideology/Marxist ideology, white supremacists, and radical Muslims. 
I want to go through each one of those and explain why these particular ideologies, why these particular movements are likely to generate violence. 
A trans ideology says that your argument about biology, that there is simply male and female, is, in fact, a guise for power. You&#8217;re doing it because you hate me; you wish to erase me. I am a victim of your failure to accept my identity, such that you&#8217;re erasing me. You&#8217;re engaging in a “trans genocide,” and therefore, you are threatening me. Your speech is a form of violence. It is wiping away my identity. 
And therefore violence ought to be met with violence.
Marxist ideology, which is derived from the same general area, is the idea that the governmental system, the free market system, is an imposition on me. It is a conspiracy from above to harm me, to destroy me. My failures inside the market are actually not my own. They&#8217;re the fault of the system. And you, as an advocate for the system, are victimizing me. You&#8217;re erasing me. You&#8217;re destroying me. And I must act with violence. There&#8217;s a reason why Marxist movements are so violent. They say that speech, advocacy for the free market, is, in fact, a system of power. It is to be met with violence. 
White supremacy: I know that there&#8217;s an attempt to pretend that this doesn&#8217;t exist, but it absolutely exists in online spaces. Pretending it doesn&#8217;t is bulls*** and everyone knows it. I know it because I&#8217;ve had to have the FBI arrest somebody who was doing this while threatening not just me, by the way, but Donald Trump Jr. 
That ideology says that white people are being put upon in the United States by an entire system. And if you&#8217;re an advocate for that system, you are threatening me with destruction, with erasure, with white genocide, and thus you must be killed. Violence is a proper response to an attempted genocide. That is the argument that is made, at root, by many white supremacists. 
I&#8217;m not talking about what the Left calls white supremacy, which is anything to the right of Hillary Clinton. I&#8217;m talking about actual, honest-to-God white supremacists. I get an awful lot of death threats from them.
Group number three, radical Muslims, who believe that the failures of the Palestinians, for example, are the result of evil Western systems. And thus, if you are an advocate for those systems, it&#8217;s because you want to erase the radical Muslims and you want to kill people and you want to commit genocide, and therefore it is fine to shoot two Israeli embassy staffers dead in Washington, D.C. That is why it is fine to throw a Molotov cocktail at an 80-year-old woman in Colorado who was protesting Israeli hostages being held. 
We all know this is true. Pretending it isn&#8217;t true doesn&#8217;t make it go away. Not all movements are equally likely to bubble up with violence.
And so when we have politicians saying political violence is bad, if you&#8217;re not speaking out against the movements that use this logic, if you&#8217;re not speaking out against the movements that say that speech is in fact a form of violence, that systems are in fact a form of violence, and that violence is the proper response to that, then you are contributing to the environment in which this kind of stuff happens. 
It is not that there are many radical Muslims in the United States, by the numbers, thank God.
It’s not that there are many white supremacists in the United States.
But by the numbers, the increasing radicalism of the Left in the United States is, in fact, a massive issue. 
The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) recently did rankings of campus free speech. And what they found is that college campuses are replete with the failure to speak your mind. 
Why? Because people are afraid of violence.
It goes all the way back to when I was in college. There&#8217;s nothing new here. I wrote my very first book, “Brainwashed: How Universities Indoctrinate America’s Youth,” in 2004 about the kind of discrimination conservatives faced on campus. And yes, there was the possibility of violence, even in 2004, not being shot, but the possibility of being physically assaulted, which is something that came close to happening to me multiple times, even when I was an undergrad. 
That&#8217;s going back 20 years, when I was warning that this was going to metastasize and take over huge swaths of the political Left. People ignored it at the time. But it was true.
I spoke in 2015 at the University of Missouri during the Black Lives Matter upsurge, after Ferguson. And I remember people asking about safety. I said, “I&#8217;m not worried about safety. There are some police there; I&#8217;ve got a security team now. No one’s going to take a shot at me. This is America. You don&#8217;t get shot in America for saying things on a college campus. This is America. I grew up in this country. This is my country. This is a country I love. This is where our fundamental value is the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. No one&#8217;s going to do this kind of stuff. No one.” 
But it&#8217;s becoming more and more common. According to FIRE, a record 1-in-3 students now hold some level of acceptance, even if only rarely, for resorting to violence to stop a campus speech. 
Now, I&#8217;m sure not everybody who believes they&#8217;re using violence thinks in terms of shooting someone to death. But when you are drawing from a pool at this point of legitimately tens of millions of young Americans, who are atomistic and isolated and don&#8217;t touch grass, it is not going to be hard to find some unhinged people who decide to take that to its logical conclusion and fire a bullet through the throat of a man who is simply attempting to speak truth to people in the friendliest possible fashion. 
I don&#8217;t like when people say “They shot Charlie,” because “they” isn&#8217;t a person. A person shot Charlie Kirk, and he shot Charlie Kirk for a deranged reason.
With that said, there are movements in which the substrate of their political thinking leads to an elevation in violence. Period. End of story. That is a reality.
And it is not enough to just say “political violence is bad” if you are not calling out the movements themselves.

The transgender-identifying comic book creator who celebrated Charlie Kirk’s death on social media will no longer be producing work for DC Comics, the entertainment company has announced.
The mature readers comic series “Red Hood,” a Batman spinoff project, was written by Gretchen Felker-Martin and had artwork by Jeff Spokes. The first book launched on the same day Kirk was murdered, September 10. 
Felker-Martin’s account on Bluesky is currently suspended, but other users took screenshots to capture his vile reactions. When reports first came in that Kirk was shot, the comic book creator <a href="https://bsky.app/profile/soupytoasterson.bsky.social/post/3lyk4wfhtgk2r">wrote</a>, “Thoughts and prayers you Nazi b****.”
“Hope the bullet’s okay after touching Charlie Kirk,” a follow-up post said.
“The job market is grim, but there’s a silver lining: Gavin Newsom needs a new co-host for his podcast,” Felker-Martin wrote in a third post, referencing a time Kirk and Newsom filmed a podcast episode together.
This prompted DC to cancel the next two planned installments of “Red Hood” and offer retailers reimbursement for any unsold copies of the first issue.
In a statement to io9, DC said it places “the highest value on our creators and community and affirm the right to peaceful, individual expression of personal viewpoints. Posts or public comments that can be viewed as promoting hostility or violence are inconsistent with DC’s standards of conduct,” per <a href="https://gizmodo.com/dc-ends-red-hood-comic-after-writers-charlie-kirk-comments-2000657517">Gizmodo</a>.
This isn’t the first time the trans-identifying man celebrated violence. Referring to anti-trans activist J.K. Rowling, Felker-Martin previously <a href="https://www.them.us/story/bluesky-moderation-suspension-jk-rowling-jessie-earl">wrote</a> on Bluesky, “I hope someone splits her skull,&#8221; earning himself a temporary suspension for violation of policies.
In 2022, Felker-Martin made <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/04/22/writer-gretchen-felker-martin-under-fire-for-killing-j-k-rowling-in-novel/">headlines</a> for releasing the novel “Manhunt,” which included a storyline about burning Rowling alive. He described the book as a, “depraved psychosexual horrorshow.”
Other media personalities were also penalized for their reactions to Kirk’s assassination. Middle Tennessee State University terminated an employee following what the university president described as “inappropriate and callous” comments made on social media.
In a statement released late Wednesday night, MTSU President Sidney A. McPhee confirmed that the employee was let go.
“This employee has been fired effective immediately,” McPhee stated. “We extend our deepest sympathies to the Kirk family.”
MSNBC also severed ties with Matt Dowd for his reaction to the tragedy.
“Hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions,” Dowd said during an appearance on “Katy Tur Reports” just after the shooting. “You can’t stop with these sort of awful thoughts you have and then saying these awful words and then not expect awful actions to take place.”
Dowd added, “We don’t know if this was a supporter shooting their gun off in celebration. So we have no idea about this.”
MSNBC apologized for his remarks, with network president Rebecca Kutler calling the comments “inappropriate, insensitive and unacceptable” in a statement posted to social media.
“We apologize for his statements, as has he,” Kutler wrote. “There is no place for violence in America, political or otherwise.”

CNN avoided one key aspect out of its own coverage even after a number of reports stated that ammunition — recovered from the scene of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk&#8217;s assassination in Utah on Wednesday — had been engraved with phrases reflecting &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ammunition-from-charlie-kirk-assassination-was-engraved-with-transgender-and-anti-fascist-ideology">transgender, antifascist ideology.</a>&#8221;
The ammunition was found with an older model .30-caliber rifle — which would typically be used for hunting larger game at long distances — in the woods near the campus of Utah Valley University, where Kirk had been hosting an event at the time of his death. But CNN&#8217;s report noted that the ammunition was engraved without mentioning the potential ties to radical gender ideology.
Instead, CNN&#8217;s <a href="https://www.cnn.com/us/live-news/charlie-kirk-shot-utah-death-09-11-25#cmffhmf7g002n3b6pn6wtr3p6">liveblog headline</a> read, &#8220;Federal officials probe rifle and ammo scrawled with cultural phrases after Charlie Kirk killing.&#8221;
The text of the post was no more specific:

A CNN spokesperson said in a statement that the network had simply published the information that they had at the time, and would update accordingly as new information became available.

Investigators found ammunition inside the .30 caliber bolt action rifle believed to have been used in the Charlie Kirk assassination, with government documents reported on by both <a href="https://www.wsj.com/livecoverage/charlie-kirk-shot/card/ammunition-in-kirk-shooting-engraved-with-transgender-antifascist-ideology-sources-pdymd1sXXMSlVRhpvR4b">The Wall Street Journal</a> and conservative commentator <a href="https://x.com/scrowder/status/1966118431511433267">Steven Crowder</a> saying that unused ammunition was engraved with “transgender and anti-fascist ideology.&#8221;
The Department of Justice did not confirm the reports, telling The Daily Wire that the investigation is still ongoing, with investigators analyzing the suspected assassin&#8217;s rifle and the ammunition.
Crowder said that his team received an email from an Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms officer on Thursday morning with what appeared to be an internal law enforcement message. The Wall Street Journal also reported that it had reviewed an internal law enforcement bulletin that discussed transgender and antifascist ideology on ammunition.
&#8220;All cartridges have engraved wording on them expressing transgender and anti-fascist ideology,&#8221; according to the email that Crowder posted on X. &#8220;An emergency trace has been submitted, and ATF SLC is working leads generated by the trace. The firearm and ammunition have been taken by the FBI for DNA analysis and fingerprint impressions.&#8221;
Kirk was answering an audience question on transgender mass shooters seconds before he was assassinated. It was reported last week that the Department of Justice is considering moves to ban guns for individuals who believe they are transgender.
The reported law enforcement message also stated that the rifle that was recovered is &#8220;an older model imported Mauser .30-06 caliber bolt action rifle,&#8221; adding that it was &#8220;wrapped in a towel in a wooded area near the campus.&#8221; A <a href="https://x.com/nypost/status/1966160408718274982">photo</a> of what officials believe to be the assassin&#8217;s rifle was published by The New York Post.

Robert Bohls, the special agent in charge of the FBI&#8217;s Salt Lake City field office, said at a press conference that authorities believe they have recovered the suspected assassin&#8217;s &#8220;high-powered bolt-action rifle,&#8221; adding that the rifle was found &#8220;in a wooded area.&#8221;
Utah DPS Commissioner Beau Mason added that authorities have &#8220;good video footage&#8221; of the suspected assassin, but they are holding off on releasing the video footage as they &#8220;work through some technologies and ways to identify this individual.&#8221; The suspect is believed to have shot Kirk from a perch on the roof of an adjacent building to where the conservative commentator was speaking in a courtyard on campus. Authorities believe the suspect jumped off the roof and fled off campus and into a neighborhood after the assassination. Mason said the suspected assassin appeared to be &#8220;of college age.&#8221;
The FBI said on Wednesday night that two subjects who were detained and questioned in connection with the assassination were released after &#8220;law enforcement found no current ties to the shooting with either of these individuals.” FBI Director Kash Patel said earlier on Wednesday that the suspected assassin had been taken into custody. He later said, “The subject in custody has been released after an interrogation by law enforcement. Our investigation continues, and we will continue to release information in the interest of transparency.”

Texas A&amp;M President Mark Welsh announced on Tuesday that he directed the school’s provost to fire an English professor who <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-texas-am-student-booted-from-lecture-after-objecting-to-professor-pushing-radical-gender-theory?author=Zach+Jewell&amp;category=undefined&amp;elementPosition=6&amp;row=3&amp;rowHeadline=Latest+News&amp;rowType=Vertical+Carousel&amp;title=WATCH%3A+Texas+A%26M+Student+Booted+From+Lecture+After+Objecting+To+Professor+Pushing+Radical+Gender+Theory">pushed leftist ideas</a> on gender and sex during a children’s literature course over the summer.
In a <a href="https://president.tamu.edu/messages/an-update-from-president-mark-a-welsh-iii.html">statement</a> posted on social media and the university’s website, Welsh also announced that the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and the Head of the English Department would be removed from their administrative positions. The decision comes after videos, obtained and shared by Republican Texas State Rep. Brian Harrison and first reported by The Daily Wire, showed a student confronting Dr. Melissa McCoul over her comments on transgenderism and other LGBT issues during a lecture.
After the student complained about the LGBT themes in the children’s literature course, Welsh said that he worked with students and administrators to make changes and “ensure this course content does not continue in future semesters.” The president, however, stated that despite his directive, Texas A&amp;M “continued to teach content that was inconsistent with the published course description for another course this fall.”
The video of the student’s interaction with the professor was posted on social media after Welsh met with students and administrators to discuss course descriptions and materials.
“This summer, a children’s literature course contained content that did not align with any reasonable expectation of standard curriculum for the course,” said Welsh. “After this issue was raised, college and department leadership worked with students to offer alternative opportunities for students to complete the course, and made changes to ensure this course content does not continue in future semesters. At that time, I made it clear to our academic leadership that course content must match catalog descriptions for each and every one of our course sections.”
“However, I learned late yesterday that despite that directive, the college continued to teach content that was inconsistent with the published course description for another course this fall,” Welsh added. “As a result, I took the above administrative actions, and deans and department heads will conduct an audit of course offerings to ensure they align with the course descriptions.”
In one video, McCoul told the student who called her out that her teaching on transgenderism and other LGBT issues was “biologically true.” The professor then told the student that she had “the legal and ethical authority [and] professional expertise in this classroom” before telling the student, “It’s time for you to leave.”

Slides from the children’s literature class reviewed by The Daily Wire showed that the course material dedicated significant time to sex, gender, and “queerness,” covering the issues with a leftist slant. One slide was titled “Let’s talk gender in children’s lit!” and argued that “Childhood is the time for figuring out how to be a boy, girl, man, woman, or another gender.” The class also required students to read a comic book story titled “Princess Princess Ever After,” which is about two female characters who fall in love, with the book ending with a same-sex wedding.

Harrison, who served as the chief of staff at the Department of Health and Human Services during Trump’s first term, continued to call for Welsh to be fired. On Wednesday, Harrison released more <a href="https://x.com/brianeharrison/status/1965770454989214041">audio</a> from a phone call between the Texas A&amp;M president and the student who was told to leave class after challenging the LGBT teaching. During the call, Welsh told the student that she was “picking a fight,” and defended courses that focus on LGBT issues.
“President Welsh is engaged in a cover up and deserves no credit,” Harrison told The Daily Wire. “He spent the past month protecting this professor, berating the student, dismissing concerns that her constitutional rights were violated when she was kicked out of class, attempting to gaslight the student into believing she was the problem, advocating for even more DEI and LGBTQ courses at A&amp;M, and has been engaged in behavior since his actions were exposed. He should be fired.”

The Department of Justice said on Monday that it would probe &#8220;deeply concerning&#8221; videos of a Texas A&amp;M student being asked to leave class after pushing back on radical gender theory.
The videos, obtained and shared by Texas State Rep. Brian Harrison and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-texas-am-student-booted-from-lecture-after-objecting-to-professor-pushing-radical-gender-theory?author=Zach+Jewell&amp;category=undefined&amp;elementPosition=6&amp;row=3&amp;rowHeadline=Latest+News&amp;rowType=Vertical+Carousel&amp;title=WATCH%3A+Texas+A%26M+Student+Booted+From+Lecture+After+Objecting+To+Professor+Pushing+Radical+Gender+Theory">first reported</a> by The Daily Wire, show a student confronting Dr. Melissa McCoul during a children’s literature class after McCoul pushed leftist views on sex and gender. In one clip, the student told McCoul that the course material went against President Donald Trump’s orders on gender and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
“This also goes against, not only myself, but a lot of people’s religious beliefs,” the student added. “And so I am not going to participate in this because it’s not legal.”
McCoul told the student that her teaching on transgenderism and other LGBT issues was &#8220;biologically true,&#8221; adding that she did not believe that the student would be able to stop her from teaching those ideas.
“Because I do have the legal and ethical authority [and] professional expertise in this classroom,” McCoul told the student. “It’s time for you to leave.”

The children&#8217;s literature class devoted considerable attention to sex, gender, and “queerness,” according to slides reviewed by The Daily Wire. One slide argued that it&#8217;s appropriate to teach LGBT issues to young children, stating, &#8220;Thinking that homosexuality or queer people are always ‘x-rated’ is an effect of heteronormativity, the idea that heterosexual or straight is normal as well as normative.&#8221; Another slide was titled “Let’s talk gender in children’s lit!” and argued that “Childhood is the time for figuring out how to be a boy, girl, man, woman, or another gender.”

Harrison told The Daily Wire that the professor&#8217;s teachings were &#8220;transgender indoctrination,&#8221; adding, “This is one of the clearest and most disgusting examples of taxpayer abuse and the weaponization of Texans’ tax money against them, against their values, against their children.”
The Texas Republican sent letters to Governor Greg Abbott, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Education Secretary Linda McMahon, asking for the state and federal government to take action against Texas A&amp;M.
A university official told The Daily Wire, “We are aware of an isolated incident in which a summer course’s content was misaligned with the course curriculum. The college took steps in collaboration with faculty to ensure all course content aligns with the course curriculum moving forward.”
In a recorded phone call between the student and Texas A&amp;M President Mark Welsh, the president stated that the university would review the children’s literature course and discuss providing more detailed descriptions of any classes that teach radical gender theory. Welsh told the student that “there’s not a problem” teaching LGBT literature as long as the university makes it clear it will be part of a class.

A Texas A&amp;M student was told to leave a lecture after pushing back on a professor promoting leftist gender ideas during a children’s literature course. 
Videos shared by Texas Republican State Rep. Brian Harrison on Monday show a student confronting Dr. Melissa McCoul during a children’s literature class, during which McCoul pushed leftist views on sex, gender, and race.
The class, which was aimed at getting students to “think critically about what [children’s literature] can tell us about how we (and others) understand childhood,” devoted considerable attention to sex, gender, and “queerness,” according to slides reviewed by The Daily Wire. One slide titled “Why talk about queerness at all?” denied that the sexual topic was inappropriate for young children. 
The student, who wishes to remain anonymous, told McCoul during one class that the course material went against President Donald Trump’s orders on gender and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
“Thinking that homosexuality or queer people are always ‘x-rated’ is an effect of heteronormativity, the idea that heterosexual or straight is normal as well as normative,” the slide reads.

McCoul then asked the student if she was “suggesting” that the teaching on gender and sex was “false.” 
“Yes,” the student said.
“You are under a misconception that what I’m saying is illegal,” the professor replied.

McCoul then said that her teachings on gender identity and gender expression are “biologically true,” adding that she did not believe that the student would be able to stop her from teaching those ideas.

Harrison, who served as the chief of staff at the Department of Health and Human Services during Trump’s first term, told The Daily Wire that the videos show the Texas A&amp;M professor is “absolutely engaged in transgender indoctrination.” He argued that McCoul and other A&amp;M officials be fired.
“This is one of the clearest and most disgusting examples of taxpayer abuse and the weaponization of Texans’ tax money against them, against their values, against their children,” Harrison said. 
Trump <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/defending-women-from-gender-ideology-extremism-and-restoring-biological-truth-to-the-federal-government/">signed</a> an executive order on January 20 declaring, “It is the policy of the United States to recognize two sexes, male and female.” In another executive order, Trump called DEI policies “illegal,” and the Trump administration has opened <a href="https://apnews.com/article/trump-dei-universities-investigated-f89dc9ec2a98897577ed0a6c446fae7b">investigations</a> into universities that push DEI programs on their students and faculty. Texas A&amp;M has been <a href="https://www.kbtx.com/2024/09/14/texas-am-awarded-16-million-federal-grants-continue-research-forever-chemicals/">awarded</a> federal <a href="https://houston.innovationmap.com/texas-am-university-tech-waste-2670730689.html">grants</a>, including for its research on “forever chemicals” and its efforts to develop clean energy.

While the federal government has pushed back on DEI and radical leftist gender ideology, Republican-led Texas has fallen behind in putting a stop to radical ideas being promoted at universities, Harrison says.
“I have filed legislation for a long time now to stop taxpayer funding of DEI and transgender indoctrination, and every attempt legislatively to end this is killed by nominal Republicans in the Texas government,” the lawmaker added. 
In another clip, the A&amp;M student tells McCoul, “I held my mouth closed this whole semester about my personal beliefs, but part of my rights is [that] this goes against my religion.” 
“So you are very free to leave, and now is the time to do that,” the professor said. After the confrontation, McCoul asked the class, “Are there other questions I can answer about the sex gender system or non-binary identities?” 
One book required in McCoul’s class was “Princess Princess Ever After,” a comic book story about a princess who is rescued from her tower prison by another princess. The two female characters fall in love, and the book ends with a gay wedding. “Princess Princess Ever After” is <a href="https://www.simonandschuster.com/books/Princess-Princess-Ever-After/K-ONeill/9781620107140">written</a> for kids between the ages of 9 and 12, according to a review from lesbian culture website AfterEllen. 
Another slide showed a “Gender Unicorn” graph put together by Trans Student Educational Resources. Yet another slide was titled “Let’s talk gender in children’s lit!” and argued that “Childhood is the time for figuring out how to be a boy, girl, man, woman, or another gender.”  
The student who confronted McCoul about the leftist curriculum raised her concerns with the department head and eventually with Texas A&amp;M President Mark Welsh. Texas A&amp;M administrators then met with McCoul to discuss the class and decided to move McCoul to teach young adult literature instead of children’s literature. 
In a recorded phone call between the student and Welsh, the Texas A&amp;M president stated that the university would review the children’s literature course and discuss providing more detailed descriptions of any classes that teach radical gender theory. Welsh told the student that “there’s not a problem” teaching LGBT literature as long as the university makes it clear it will be part of a class. 
When the student asked President Welsh if any more changes would be made, such as firing McCoul, Welsh accused the student of attempting to “pick a fight,” adding that the university would not punish the professor.

Harrison sent a letter to Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott, along with a separate letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Education Secretary Linda McMahon on Monday, calling on the state and federal government to take action against Texas A&amp;M. 
“I have previously referred Texas A&amp;M to the Trump Administration for investigation into discriminatory DEI practices, and I am now expanding that request,” Harrison wrote. “Since the Texas government has not ended this taxpayer-funded liberal indoctrination, I am writing to respectfully request that you or other relevant divisions or agencies take any appropriate action(s) to ensure that Texas universities receiving federal funds are complying with President Trump’s Executive Orders.”
The Daily Wire has also reached out to the Department of Education, requesting comment.
