A soap company that boasts of its organic products has gone all in on pushing transgenderism.
Dr. Bronner’s, the company that makes “Magic Soap,” believes that men and women can magically switch their genders, and it has an <a href="https://info.drbronner.com/all-one-blog/author/transrights/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">entire team</a> made up of “trans and nonbinary employees” who are dedicated to making “funding decisions for Dr. Bronner’s trans rights funding portfolio.”
In late March, the soap company <a href="https://info.drbronner.com/all-one-blog/2026/03/trans-day/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">honored</a> “Trans Day of Visibility” and condemned the Trump administration and conservative states that have imposed policies and passed laws to protect children and women from harmful trans-affirming practices.
While the majority of Americans have no idea when “Trans Day of Visibility” is or why it’s even on some calendars, Dr. Bronner’s dedicated nearly 800 words on its website to celebrating the obscure LGBT holiday. The company also directed readers to eight LGBT advocacy organizations, including organizations that push for gender procedures on children.
“Trans lives in America and beyond are more vulnerable than ever due to rightwing governments’ attacks on human rights, efforts to erase trans and nonbinary people from civic participation, and the increasing obstacles to accessing healthcare, public services, and public spaces,” the company <a href="https://info.drbronner.com/all-one-blog/2026/03/trans-day/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">stated</a>. “Dr. Bronner’s is proud to support trans-led organizations that are dedicated to trans liberation, both locally and nationally.”
Among those organizations supported by Dr. Bronner’s was the Trans Youth Emergency Project, which <a href="https://southernequality.org/tyep/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">exists</a> to help parents find access to life-altering gender procedures for their gender-confused children. Another group highlighted by the soap company was TransFamily Support Services, which <a href="https://transfamilysos.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">says</a> that it guides gender-confused children and their families to navigate the health care and insurance systems in their quest for gender surgeries.
“Since the change in administration in January 2025, trans rights have decreased dramatically, particularly in the realm of access to public spaces and healthcare. Last year America broke its own record for the sixth consecutive year in number of anti-trans legislation on the federal and state level,” Dr. Bronner’s “Trans Rights Funding Team” <a href="https://info.drbronner.com/all-one-blog/2026/03/trans-day/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a>.
The company also condemned the Trump administration for working to prevent trans-identifying men from competing against women, including at the Olympics.
Americans are <a href="https://www.axios.com/2025/06/03/pride-month-corporate-sponsorship-poll-survey" target="_blank" rel="noopener">growing</a> increasingly skeptical of companies diving into LGBT talking points, and the vast majority of Americans <a href="https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/3991685-majority-of-americans-oppose-gender-affirming-care-for-minors-trans-women-participating-in-sports-poll/#:~:text=Briefing%20Room-,Majority%20of%20Americans%20oppose%20gender%2Daffirming%20care%20for%20minors%2C%20trans,legislation%20affecting%20the%20LGBTQ%20community." target="_blank" rel="noopener">oppose</a> gender procedures on children. But Dr. Bronner’s decided to make its support of “Trans Visibility” a huge deal and bash conservatives in the process.

A human rights tribunal in British Columbia recently <a href="https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/barry-neufeld-former-chilliwack-bc-trustee-pay-hate-speech-tribunal-2slgbtq-9.7098536">fined</a> a man $750,000 for public statements he made opposing a school board’s promotion of gender ideology. The tribunal found his comments, speeches, and social media posts brought &#8220;injury to their dignity, feelings, and self-respect.&#8221; The same tribunal <a href="https://thenewamerican.com/world-news/canadian-womans-former-landlady-fined-10000-for-saying-transphobic-things-to-her/">fined</a> a woman $10,000 for privately disagreeing with a friend’s gender transition.
In Canada, enforcing gender ideology comes at a steep cost: the suppression of free speech, the erosion of medical integrity, and harm to the wellbeing — perhaps even the future fertility — of young Canadians. And it is all justified as a necessary sacrifice for the “greater good” of a tolerant society, an ideal now woven into Canada’s national identity.
The scientific evidence against so-called gender transition, however, is mounting. Most countries around the world are beginning to realize it — except Canada.
In 2024, the United Kingdom moved to <a href="https://londondaily.com/the-indefinite-ban-on-puberty-blockers-for-minors">ban</a> puberty blockers outright. Australia’s state of Queensland <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2025/oct/28/queenslands-controversial-puberty-blocker-ban-overturned-by-supreme-court">prohibited</a> puberty blockers in January, while New Zealand <a href="https://www.health.govt.nz/regulation-legislation/puberty-blockers">imposed</a> strict controls in November. In February, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons <a href="https://www.plasticsurgery.org/documents/health-policy/positions/2026-gender-surgery-children-adolescents.pdf">released</a> a position statement on gender surgery, warning against its potential harms.
Yet every Canadian health agency claims affirmation is the default solution for gender dysphoria. The Canadian Pediatric Society recommends accepting one’s gender identity as valid — even <a href="https://nationalpost.com/health/canadas-pediatricians-advised-to-support-affirming-gender-questioning-six-year-olds">six-year-olds</a>. The same organization explicitly <a href="https://nationalpost.com/opinion/canadian-paediatric-society-vows-to-continue-prescribing-puberty-blockers">dismissed</a> the findings of the Cass Review, a landmark <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/im-bloody-angry-j-k-rowling-scorches-critics-in-the-wake-of-cass-review-on-child-gender-transitions">study</a> that discovered the weak evidentiary basis for puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones.
Such stark defiance of evidence-based care is nothing short of negligence — not surprising for a country that now includes <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/movement-barrels-forward-to-euthanize-12-year-old-children-in-canada">death</a> in its definition of health care. But negligence alone is an insufficient explanation. Canada is not catching up with the rest of the world to dismiss medical transition because their commitment to it is rooted in ideology, not science. And it is propagated by elites through a centralized system of top-down planning.
First, legislation enforces affirmation of gender identity. Canada <a href="https://globalnews.ca/news/8434497/conversion-therapy-ban-canada-royal-assent/">passed a ban</a> on so-called conversion therapy in 2021, defined as a practice designed to “change a person’s gender identity to cisgender.” But the “conversion therapy” of changing a person’s body to match their gender identity — which is defined in a circular way — is allowed. In fact, it’s effectively mandated. Those convicted under this law can receive up to five years in prison. There are no carve-outs for adults seeking sex-affirming therapy to help them with gender dysphoria.
Where there is no law directly prohibiting speech, Canadian courts create one. The latest examples both come from British Columbia: the man fined $750,000 for public statements and the woman fined $10,000 for a private conversation.
Such outrageous penalties have a chilling effect on speech. Absent any serious dissent, the monolithic worldview promoted in Canadian schools, hospitals, and traditional media will continue unchallenged. And the children don’t stand a chance.
Consider Julia Malbogat, a Toronto mom who <a href="https://www.todaysparent.com/blogs/opinion/stop-asking-me-if-my-eight-year-old-trans-kid-is-just-going-through-a-phase/">wrote</a> in 2021 about her daughter “coming out” as transgender. During a family trip to their cottage, her daughter said that she’s a boy, to which Julia replied with a simple “ok.” When asked how she knew, the child pointed to the school’s Rainbow Alliance, a grade 4-6 club teaching “sexual and gender diversity.” Julia dismissed the possibility her child was mistaken and noted that surgery wouldn’t be an option until 16. By then, she assumed the dysphoria would be “insistent, persistent, and consistent” enough to justify medical intervention.
But how could someone’s gender dysphoria be anything except persistent if they are affirmed from the moment it is expressed? Gender-confused children rarely hear a serious alternative from schools or clinicians — though some later wish they had. Ask the detransitioners.
The largest <a href="https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/26895269.2025.2538744">study</a> of detransitioners in Canada and the United States suggests that many who reversed a gender transition wish doctors “took a more neutral approach to care.” The participants reported feelings of alienation, emphasizing the high social cost of detransition. One woman <a href="https://www.bing.com/search?q=detransitioners%20ghosted%20&amp;qs=n&amp;form=QBRE&amp;sp=-1&amp;ghc=1&amp;lq=0&amp;pq=detransitioners%20ghost&amp;sc=6-21&amp;sk=&amp;cvid=4BE657D5CF8D46BFA48C72A857DF33F8">said</a> she was “ghosted” by the doctor who did her mastectomy. Treating gender identity as immutable and patients as infallible leaves minors, who are already going through emotional and physical changes, at risk of serious harm.
Look no further than their chosen cultural symbols. Publicly funded spaces across the country are decked out in pride flags, including city halls, legislative assemblies, walkways, libraries. This imagery is so pervasive in places of cultural importance that a first-time visitor might mistake it for the national flag.
In the absence of their rich traditions, Canadians have united around a new vision of the good. This new orthodoxy is summed up well in Bill C-4’s preamble, which states that conversion therapy “propagates” the myth that “cisgender identity is to be preferred over other gender identities.” While Canada elevates the dubious idea of an inner, gendered essence, it denounces the view that our bodies are essential to who we are.
That is a philosophical claim, not a scientific one. Science can’t disprove it.
Until Canada re-examines its commitment to this new orthodoxy, it will keep ignoring the warnings — until the damage is too widespread to dismiss.

While the decision does not resolve the debate entirely, Figliolia stresses its importance, noting that it revived an important debate in the medical community and clears the way for real progress.

Last month, the Supreme Court struck down Colorado&#8217;s ban on so-called “conversion therapy” for patients with gender confusion.
The 8-1 decision on Chiles v. Salazar is not just consequential for constitutional law but for the future of gender medicine. In striking down Colorado’s law, the Court ruling put a stop to a dangerous regime of viewpoint-based censorship in medicine. The decision raises <a href="https://www.lgbtmap.org/equality-maps/conversion_therapy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">serious constitutional questions</a> for similar laws on the books in 22 other states.
The suit was brought by a licensed mental health counselor, Kaley Chiles, who was prevented from talking with clients in ways that could help them reconcile their mind and body. Instead, the state insisted she unambiguously affirm and facilitate “gender transitions.”
Lower courts accepted the argument that these laws merely regulate professional conduct, subject only to minimal constitutional scrutiny. The Supreme Court rejected that logic. When the state restricts what a therapist can say based on the viewpoint expressed, it triggers the highest level of First Amendment protection.
Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s lone dissent reflects the prevailing view within much of the medical establishment: that “conversion” practices are inherently harmful, and that gender identity exists as a fixed and natural category within the spectrum of human diversity. But this position rests on contested assumptions about the evidence base and about the nature of gender identity itself.
Much of the research cited to justify these bans focuses on sexual orientation change efforts in adults, not therapeutic approaches addressing gender dysphoria in minors. In recent years, advocacy groups and <a href="https://www.apa.org/topics/lgbtq/sexual-orientation-change" target="_blank" rel="noopener">professional associations</a> have expanded the definition of “conversion therapy” to include nearly any attempt to explore or resolve gender-related distress without immediate affirmation — collapsing fundamentally different clinical questions into a single prohibited category.
Yet gender dysphoria in youth is not <a href="https://segm.org/gender-dysphoria-diagnosis-desistance-germany" target="_blank" rel="noopener">diagnostically stable</a>. Researchers have found that many children who experience early dysphoria grow out of it by the end of puberty.

At the same time, the number of young people identifying as transgender has risen dramatically in recent years. Using CDC data, the psychologist Jean Twenge estimated that <a href="https://www.generationtechblog.com/p/transgender-identity-how-much-has" target="_blank" rel="noopener">trans-identification increased 422%</a> among 18–24-year-olds between 2014 and 2023, notably with no corresponding increase among adults older than 35. This suggests that trans-identification&#8217;s “<a href="https://www.realityslaststand.com/p/the-casualties-of-concept-creep" target="_blank" rel="noopener">concept creep</a>” is trickling down into young people’s self-concepts and uniting otherwise distinct clinical populations under a single “transgender” <a href="https://www.apa.org/topics/lgbtq/transgender-people-gender-identity-gender-expression" target="_blank" rel="noopener">umbrella</a>.
None of this proves that any single therapeutic approach is correct. But it does underscore the need for open clinical inquiry — not legal mandates that enforce one model while prohibiting others.
An affirmation-only approach risks flattening complex psychological and developmental factors into a single predetermined outcome. Such adherence to ideological conformity has gotten us a <a href="https://x.com/benryanwriter/status/2017471549536661927" target="_blank" rel="noopener">list of malpractice suits</a> and the recent landmark <a href="https://www.thefp.com/p/a-legal-first-that-could-change-gender" target="_blank" rel="noopener">$2 million payout to Fox Varian</a>, who underwent a double mastectomy at sixteen despite a complex and troubling psychiatric and family history.
This should not come as a surprise. Many patients presenting with gender-related distress also experience significant psychiatric comorbidities, and their cases often require careful, individualized assessment.
As a Department of Health and Human Services report on pediatric gender dysphoria <a href="https://opa.hhs.gov/sites/default/files/2025-11/gender-dysphoria-report.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">convincingly argues</a>, psychotherapy is preferred as a first-line treatment for gender dysphoria because it possesses a more favorable risk-benefit ratio than medical interventions, which have only “low certainty” evidence for benefit according to evidence reviews. This view is supported by a <a href="https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/apa.70533" target="_blank" rel="noopener">nationwide cohort study of Finland</a>, which found patient populations after 2010 displayed more complex psychiatric needs both before and after clinic referral — many of which were not resolved by medical transition.
Clinicians should be free to explore these various treatment options with their patients. Yet laws like Colorado’s effectively prohibit that exploration, enforcing an ideological boundary around acceptable care.
The Supreme Court’s decision in Chiles does not resolve the broader medical debate. But it does something equally important: it reopens the space for that debate to occur.
If mental health care is to remain grounded in evidence, ethics, and individualized treatment, it cannot be governed by laws that dictate conclusions in advance. The Court has recognized that when the state mandates one viewpoint while silencing others, it is no longer regulating medicine — it is enforcing orthodoxy.
That is a dangerous precedent. And, at least for now, one the Constitution still forbids.

A far-left politician rolled out a tongue-twister of an identity acronym while claiming that transgender people were facing a genocide in Canada. 
Member of Parliament Leah Gazan complained Wednesday about budget cuts she said would not stop the genocide of the “MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA+” community. 
“When the Budget was released, I was shocked to find out that Prime Minister Carney is cutting $7 billion between Indigenous Services Canada and Crown-Indigenous Relations,” Gazan said. “They provided $0 to deal with the ongoing genocide of MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA+.”

The 16-character acronym stands for “Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, and Asexual,” with the plus sign for anyone else who may have been left out. 
Gazan is a member of Canada&#8217;s New Democratic Party, which pushes for more government involvement in housing and healthcare and capping prices on certain grocery items. On Tuesday, she was lamenting cuts to the Canadian government’s Indigenous Services Canada and Crown-Indigenous Relations. 
“It&#8217;s especially disturbing that at the same time they&#8217;re investing billions into the military industrial complex, ignoring their legal obligations to end the ongoing genocide against Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people,” Gazan <a href="https://x.com/LeahGazan/status/2041961680461078721">said</a> in a social media post. 
“Without delay, it must reverse these callous cuts and immediately commit to providing long term, sustainable funding to organizations, agencies and family groups to address the growing violence against Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people,” she added. 
Last week, Gazan <a href="https://x.com/LeahGazan/status/2039056934398038499">celebrated</a> “Transgender Day of Visibility,” claiming transgender-identifying people were under attack by “far-right-wing” politicians. 
“It’s far too common for hateful actors to attack the rights of trans people. Against these corrosive, cowardly attacks, it’s a testament to the bravery and strength of trans people who continue to push back against bigotry and small-mindedness,” she said. 
The Canadian government itself has embraced the linking of MMIWG and 2SLGBTQQIA+ identities. 
The government created a plan for “departments to support systemic change to address the crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls (MMIWG) and Two Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex (2SLGBTQI+) people.&#8221;
In February, a transgender-identifying 18-year-old male <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/youtube-confirms-trans-themed-page-is-linked-to-canada-mass-shooting-suspect">opened fire</a> on a rural Canadian school, killing six people at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in British Columbia. While discussing the attack, Canadian police routinely referred to the attacker as a &#8220;female&#8221; and described him as a &#8220;gunperson.&#8221;

A New Left-Wing Brain Rot Acronym Has Appeared: MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA+

Trans-identified musician Ethel Cain is catching heat for posting risque bedroom photos which clearly show his male genitalia on Instagram despite clear community guidelines prohibiting this type of nudity. 
The 28-year-old creator first posted the images on Thursday. The post originally had no content warning, but sometime prior to Saturday received a blurred “<a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DWmi69PkdTn/?img_index=1">sensitive content</a>” warning which can be circumvented with a single click by account holders of any age.
Per Instagram <a href="https://about.instagram.com/blog/announcements/instagram-community-guidelines-faqs">community guidelines</a>, nudity is “not allowed” on the platform, with exceptions being made only for breastfeeding, post-mastectomy scarring, and nudity appearing in sculptures or paintings.
Meta did not immediately reply to The Daily Wire’s request for comment.
Cain, whose real name is Hayden Anhedönia, has courted controversy before. He was born and raised in a Southern Baptist household and rebelled hard after turning 18, “transitioning” into a woman and beginning to create music with a dark aesthetic. 
Album releases “Inbred,” “Preacher’s Daughter” and “Willoughby Tucker, I Will Always Love You” involve violent, disturbing lyrics with taboo themes including incest, abusive religious practices, and demonic possession.
The singer was called out for wearing a “legalize incest” t-shirt and <a href="https://www.vulture.com/article/ethel-cain-response-controversy.html#:~:text=Rather%2C%20as%20a%20lonely%20and,use%20Hagerman's%20photo%20or%20name.%20%E2%80%9C">using a real missing poster</a> for a murdered child, repurposed with his own name, to promote his music. Cain apologized for wearing the shirt and for using the “n” word in the past, but at the same time defended the concept of subversive “art.” 
“‘Regarding the topic of incest in my artwork, it’s a layered experience,” he <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/u/1/d/12EupvuRDZBU8zw4cXU6nJI98Uu9VwmYHsFjCNpEAoSY/mobilebasic?fbclid=PAQ0xDSwLbg5FleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABp4I3WyMfcLocLsogR3FDkiC_y3HR87kVjZt42IIdr3CE9v_FF4mAsTIC8pQG_aem_mxoti7uGo6DveL_8LsPe1w&amp;pli=1">wrote</a> as part of a lengthy statement. “I have always been interested in creating art centered around the taboo.”
“While sometimes the topic of incest may get intermingled on a song with my own experiences of sexual abuse or my own familial traumas, I have never and would never fetishize such a sensitive subject,” the statement continued.
Predictably, Cain’s defenders accused any dissension about the graphic photos as being “transphobic.”
“No, Ethel Cain is not sexually harassing you by posting her d*ck. You&#8217;re just transphobic and also weird about non-sexual nudity,” one X commenter <a href="https://x.com/sapphyreblayze/status/2039793800172744727">wrote</a>.

A California group positioned to shape the future of Artificial Intelligence regulation for children believes drag queens are positive role models for 4-year-olds.
Common Sense Media, a California nonprofit with a stated <a href="https://www.commonsense.org/">mission</a> to protect kids online, gave a children&#8217;s show featuring two male drag queens a <a href="https://www.commonsensemedia.org/tv-reviews/the-fabulous-show-with-fay-fluffy">perfect</a> child safety score and recommended it for kids ages 4 and up. &#8220;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGyr45BKn_o&amp;list=PL2F3nYtGth8cylKCts9if0EkyoZF1FRiI">The Fabulous Show With Fay &amp; Fluffy</a>&#8221; received a 5/5 star rating and was praised for offering positive role models, having educational value, and showcasing diversity.
Bluey, the popular family-friendly cartoon, was outshined by the drag queens and only received a 4/5 star rating.
Common Sense Media provides safety reviews of movies, books, and video games through a vast database that includes many positive reviews for LGBTQ+ content aimed at young children. The nonprofit has an entire <a href="https://www.commonsensemedia.org/celebrate-lgbtq-pride">webpage</a> devoted to &#8220;LGBTQ+ Stories for the Whole Family.&#8221;
&#8220;From affirming, relatable stories about queer kids and teens, to history-making moments and figures on screen, LGBTQ+ representation in media is increasing. Now, kids have more choices that reflect their world and lived experiences, whether they&#8217;re queer, straight, trans, cisgender, or figuring it all out,&#8221; states its website.

Recent reports say it&#8217;s attempting to extract millions of dollars from AI companies to help them self-regulate in the litigious environment. It&#8217;s simultaneously supporting legislation in California that would require AI chatbot products to submit to regulation from groups like Common Sense Media.
The nonprofit, which claims it&#8217;s &#8220;<a href="https://www.commonsensemedia.org/what-we-stand-for/tech-accountability">holding tech companies accountable</a>,&#8221; is asking for millions of dollars to launch a new institute focused on providing safety assessments for AI products, according to reporting from <a href="https://subscriber.politicopro.com/article/2026/04/key-nonprofit-pitches-tech-giants-to-pay-100m-each-for-ai-safety-effort-00853205?site=pro&amp;prod=alert&amp;prodname=alertmail&amp;linktype=headline&amp;source=email">Politico</a>. Common Sense Media offered the tech companies the opportunity to provide input on the safety assessments if they provided a donation, Politico reported.
Its current ratings, however, indicate it&#8217;s in no position to assess what is appropriate for children.
The group recommends transgender content for 4-year-olds, including &#8220;I Am Jazz,&#8221; which it <a href="https://www.commonsensemedia.org/book-reviews/i-am-jazz">calls</a> a &#8220;Sweet, straightforward story about a transgender girl.&#8221; It also <a href="https://www.commonsensemedia.org/book-reviews/jacobs-new-dress#modal">recommends</a> &#8220;Jacob&#8217;s New Dress,&#8221; a story about a young boy who likes to crossdress and was written by parents of a &#8220;gender-nonconforming child,&#8221; and “Sparkle Boy,” the <a href="https://www.commonsensemedia.org/book-reviews/sparkle-boy">story</a> of a 3-year-old boy who “loves all the glittery stuff his older sister loves” and “causes a stir” when he crossdresses.

Common Sense Media also <a href="https://www.commonsensemedia.org/book-reviews/marleys-pride">recommends</a> &#8220;Marley&#8217;s Pride,&#8221; the &#8220;joyful&#8221; story of “Marley and their grandparent&#8221; who identify as nonbinary and attend their first pride celebration together.
“RuPaul&#8217;s Drag Show” is <a href="https://www.commonsensemedia.org/tv-reviews/rupauls-drag-race">recommended</a> for teenagers 15 and older and called a program that promotes &#8220;self-love and compassion for heavily marginalized communities.&#8221; The review tells parents to expect &#8220;lots of sexual innuendo, including references to various sex acts and partial nudity, mostly bare torsos&#8221; and warns it includes strong language and sexual terms such as &#8220;f&#8211;k,&#8221; &#8220;s&#8211;t,&#8221; &#8220;doggy style,&#8221; but notes these words are mostly used &#8220;for tongue-in-cheek humor and camp.&#8221;
The nonprofit also has an education wing and has partnered with schools to provide training about media and online safety to more than <a href="https://www.commonsense.org/">1.4 million</a> educators, according to its website. Common Sense Media has also worked with the <a href="https://www.cde.ca.gov/ls/et/dc/index.asp">California Department of Education</a> and the <a href="https://www.commonsensemedia.org/press-releases/common-sense-educations-digital-literacy-curriculum-selected-as-connecticuts-statewide-model-for-k-12#:~:text=%22Connecticut%20has%20taken%20an%20important,new%20technological%20developments%20and%20challenges">Connecticut State Department of Education</a>, who announced in February 2025 that they were implementing the nonprofit&#8217;s K–12 Digital Citizenship <a href="https://www.commonsense.org/education/digital-citizenship">Curriculum</a> statewide.
Common Sense Media provides <a href="https://www.commonsense.org/education/articles/supporting-lgbtq-students-in-the-classroom-and-online">ways</a> teachers can create LGBTQ+ inclusive classrooms, telling them, &#8220;Your courage is critical. Know that you may be the only adult in a kid&#8217;s life who shows acceptance &#8212; their only oasis,&#8221; according to its website. Teachers are recommended to funnel gender confused students to transgender activist groups like the Trevor Project and PFLAG.
Common Sense Media now has its eyes on shaping the safety standards of artificial intelligence products for kids. Common Sense Media is <a href="https://www.commonsensemedia.org/sites/default/files/featured-content/files/common-sense-media-2026-ca-legislative-priorities.pdf">supporting</a> two <a href="https://sd18.senate.ca.gov/news/assemblymembers-bauer-kahan-and-wicks-and-senator-padilla-introduce-legislation-protect">California</a> bills aiming to regulate AI chatbot products for minors.
&#8220;Because of the potential risks of AI to children and teens, California must take the lead in establishing a process for vetting the impact of AI products and services on kids,&#8221; states a Common Sense Media <a href="https://www.commonsensemedia.org/sites/default/files/featured-content/files/common-sense-media-2026-ca-legislative-priorities.pdf">document</a>.
California Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan introduced <a href="https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billNavClient.xhtml?bill_id=202520260AB2023">AB 2023</a> in <a href="https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billHistoryClient.xhtml?bill_id=202520260SB1119">February 2026</a> saying the bill will establish &#8220;nation-leading safety standards for AI companions used by children and teens,&#8221; in a <a href="https://bauer-kahan.asmdc.org/press-releases/20260326-assemblymembers-bauer-kahan-and-wicks-and-senator-padilla-introduce">press release</a>.

Chatbot operators will be required to undergo an annual safety assessment of any &#8220;child safety risks&#8221; posed by the AI chatbot if the bill becomes law.
&#8220;This bill would require an operator of a companion chatbot to&#8230;annually perform and document a comprehensive risk assessment to identify any child safety risk posed by the design, configuration, and operation of the companion chatbot that assesses, among other things, the likelihood of a covered harm,&#8221; states the bill.
One of the &#8220;covered harms&#8221; included in the bill is &#8220;gender identity&#8221; discrimination. California considers <a href="https://calcivilrights.ca.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/32/2022/11/The-Rights-of-Employees-who-are-Transgender-or-Gender-Nonconforming-Fact-Sheet_ENG.pdf">declining</a> to use a person&#8217;s preferred pronouns or not allowing a man to use the women&#8217;s bathroom forms of &#8220;gender identity&#8221; discrimination.
Under AB 2023 if an AI chatbot product is found to be unsafe by the safety assessment, the operator must make changes to the product and then undergo an independent compliance audit that, upon completion, will be submitted to the California Attorney General.
Common Sense Media is positioning itself to be the go-to for AI chatbot safety assessments and stands to play a powerful role in shaping how information is defined and disseminated, if California&#8217;s chatbot bills pass.
&#8220;Three of the people familiar said Common Sense will be positioned to become a default safety auditor in California for AI products aimed at kids,&#8221; Politico reported.
Public figures known for their transgender activism spoke at the March 2026 Common Sense <a href="https://www.commonsensemedia.org/common-sense-summit-speakers-2026">Summit</a> on Kids And Families including <a class="gmail-team-profile-title gmail-link gmail-link--title" href="https://www.commonsensemedia.org/common-sense-summit-speakers-2026#">Randi Weingarten</a>, President of The American Federation of Teachers, JB Pritzker, Governor of Illinois, and Rob Bonta, Attorney General at the California Department of Justice. Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, and Rebecca Bauer-Kahan also spoke at the summit.
Common Sense Media did not respond to The Daily Wire&#8217;s requests for comment.

Facing down leftist vitriol and activist-driven anger, a Tennessee library board voted to fire a library director who refused to follow a directive aimed at shielding kids browsing library shelves from transgender ideology. 
The Rutherford County Library board voted 8-3 on Monday to fire director Luanne James after she refused their direction to move transgender-themed books from the children’s section of the library to the adult section. Leftist activists showed up in force to the board meeting in Murfreesboro, a suburb of Nashville, where they repeatedly disrupted the meeting with yelling and screaming. 
The vote came after the board directed James to move books with transgender themes to the adult section of the library, where they could still be checked out by parents or by kids with parental approval. James refused to comply with the board, <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/11FG5BCECCya_Zj1K-XIHT9g16JDSMgOt/view">claiming</a> that moving the books to a different location in the library would violate the First Amendment. 
Books the board directed moved to the adult section included &#8220;The Gender Wheel,&#8221; &#8220;Who Are You? The Kids Guide to Gender Identity,&#8221; and &#8220;When Aidan Became A Brother&#8221; — a picture book about a gender-confused girl who started identifying as a boy.
&#8220;The law was made to protect the most vulnerable, which is children. Follow the law,&#8221; Rutherford County school board member Caleb Tidwell said during public comment at the meeting. &#8220;Protect the children. Hold the line.&#8221;
When given a chance to speak during the meeting, James said she would not change her mind. 
“I stand by my decision. I will not change my mind,” she said. In a later statement, she said she lost her job because she was fired for protecting &#8220;the rights of all community members to access books and information.&#8221;
&#8220;I refused to do so because I believe such action constitutes censorship, violates the First Amendment, and goes against my duty to uphold intellectual freedom under American Library Association guidelines,&#8221; she said. &#8220;Librarians should not be used as a filter for political agendas. I stood up for the right to read — standing for the citizens of Rutherford County. I believe my firing is an unlawful act of viewpoint discrimination. This action hurts library patrons, not just the librarian.&#8221;
Footage from the meeting revealed the crowd erupting in anger at the board&#8217;s decision to fire her.

After the vote, the crowd angrily yelled and gestured toward board members who voted to fire James. 
Footage captured by local news outlets showed how the balcony of the meeting room was filled with protesters wearing matching shirts and chanting. Leftist groups like the ACLU of Tennessee and the Rutherford County Library Alliance had organized support for James.

Ultimately the board said they should be able to set library system policy.
&#8220;The Executive Director’s refusal to implement a lawful directive of the Rutherford County Library Board constitutes insubordination,&#8221; Board Chair Cody York said in the days leading up to the vote. &#8220;When a Director refuses to carry out a duly adopted Board decision, it undermines the governance of the institution and cannot be ignored.&#8221;
James said she was exploring all legal options after the firing while the library board has also retained a lawyer over the matter.
Advocates for moving the books argued that it was necessary to comply with state laws related to ensuring kids have access to age-appropriate materials and President Donald Trump’s executive actions on transgender ideology. 
Some media outlets have suggested books were directed to be moved because of themes related to “female empowerment” and “diversity and inclusion.” Those are references to notes put on lists of disputed books by library staff, not the board. 
Prior to the board’s directive to move the books related to transgender ideology, library staff at Rutherford County Library System compiled a list of over 2,000 books they had flagged for possible compliance with Tennessee law. Staffers flagged books about the Bible and Aesop’s Fables, among others, for review. 
This contrasted with books flagged by the board, which focused primarily on materials related to transgender ideology and graphic violence. 
The fight over books in Rutherford County has been ongoing for several years — and mirrors fights across the country — and pits concerned parents against left-wing activists for control of school and public libraries.
Last year, the Rutherford County Library board <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/tennessee-town-faces-down-liberal-protests-votes-to-remove-books-promoting-transgenderism-to-kids">voted</a> to remove all books promoting transgenderism to children from its system as they passed a resolution to “remove material that promotes, encourages, advocates for or normalizes transgenderism or ‘gender confusion’ in minors.”
That effort was later withdrawn over fears of a lawsuit. The latest discussions involve only moving books, not removing them from the library system entirely. Several years ago, the board did <a href="https://wpln.org/post/rutherford-countys-library-system-bans-four-books-with-lgbtq-themes-after-a-murfreesboro-decency-ordinance/">direct</a> the complete removal of the book “Let’s Talk About It,” from the circulation. The book contains sexually explicit illustrations of sex and genitalia.

Academics who do not know what a woman is should not be the taxpayer-funded gatekeepers of women’s history. But ever since Congress authorized the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum in 2020, the Smithsonian Institution has made it clear that gender ideology matters more than biological truth in its version of women’s history.
Congress’s next move on the project is to grant the Smithsonian federal land on the National Mall for the museum. In a House Natural Resources subcommittee hearing last month on the subject, Congressman Tom Tiffany (R-WI) pressed a Smithsonian Institution representative with a simple question: “How can we be sure that the women celebrated in the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum are not men?”
The Smithsonian staffer dodged the question, and subcommittee members ripped the congressman for what they deemed a baseless inquiry. But the question hit the nail on the head: the Smithsonian pretends that men can be women.
While the brick-and-mortar Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum has yet to earn a permanent building, the Smithsonian’s mobile exhibits prove Rep. Tiffany correct. In its 2023 exhibit “<a href="https://americanhistory.si.edu/explore/exhibitions/girlhood/gallery">Girlhood: It’s Complicated</a>”, the Smithsonian exhibited <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-troubling-case-of-jazz-jennings-the-medias-first-transgender-child">Jazz Jennings</a>, a trans-identifying male reality TV star.
Jazz was <a href="https://www.eviemagazine.com/post/jazz-jennings-was-transitioned-at-2-and-had-surgery-at-17-my-new-vagina-fell-apar">socially transitioned</a> by his parents at age two, pumped with puberty blockers at eleven, and surgically mutilated at eighteen.

Here’s what the Smithsonian has to say about Jazz:

She shares her girlhood with millions of Americans on television and reminds us that girls can be assigned male at birth and that girlhood comes in many forms. Jazz always knew she “was a girl trapped inside a boy’s body.” As a toddler, she felt a roar of emotions at not being able to communicate what she was experiencing. But Jazz was lucky because her family listened, learned, and supported her.</blockquote>
First, Jazz is not a girl. He was deceived at just two years of age. Second, girls cannot be “assigned male at birth.” Girls are young human females; sex is immutable, not “assigned.” Finally, no toddler is &#8220;a girl trapped inside a boy’s body.” 
If the Smithsonian flunks a single-room exhibit, how can they be trusted with an entire building? The Smithsonian’s feature of Jazz in its “Girlhood” exhibit is flagrantly disqualifying.
The institution’s problem boils down to its own academics and advisors. On the website’s featured “Biographies: Every Woman Has a Story” page, Smithsonian-associated scholars hail men and historical “women.” First in the list is Roderick “Lavergne” Cox, a trans-identifying male actor described by the Smithsonian as “assigned male at birth,” and “the first openly transgender person nominated for an Emmy.” The Smithsonian made a distinct choice to acknowledge “Lavergne” as simultaneously male and “woman.”

The Smithsonian also features seven other males: United States Congressman Timothy “Sarah” McBride and Biden-era Assistant Secretary for Health for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Richard “Rachel” Levine, “the highest-ranking openly transgender government official in U.S. history,” <a href="https://www.womenshistory.org/education-resources/biographies/cecilia-chung">Cecilia Chung</a> (a California based advocate for sex-rejecting procedures), <a href="https://www.womenshistory.org/education-resources/biographies/marsha-p-johnson">Marsha P. Johnson</a>, <a href="https://www.womenshistory.org/education-resources/biographies/andrea-jenkins">Andrea Jenkins</a>, <a href="https://www.womenshistory.org/education-resources/biographies/sylvia-rivera">Sylvia Rivera</a>, and <a href="https://www.womenshistory.org/education-resources/biographies/janet-mock">Janet Mock</a>. It is unacceptable that eight men are hailed as historical women on a taxpayer-funded “.gov” website.

If the Smithsonian Institution — with its hordes of PhD-clad ideologues — cannot acknowledge that a woman is an adult human female, it should not be trusted to narrate women’s history, especially with the taxpayer’s dime on federal soil.
The Smithsonian’s demonstrated radicalism must be top of mind as Congress works to authorize the construction of the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum. On March 18, the House Committee on Administration held a markup to advance the authorization, this time, however, with <a href="https://x.com/CWforA/status/2034336481561502017?s=20">an amendment</a> offered by Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) to prohibit the new museum from portraying men as women. The bill passed in committee, but Democrats uniformly voted “No.”
How ironic. Democrats care more about transgender ideology than a long-awaited women’s museum.
The Smithsonian Institution cannot be trusted with women’s history. If the Women’s History Museum goes up, Congress must do its due diligence to ensure that it operates under a strict, brazenly explicit federal authorization requiring that no male be presented as a “woman” in its exhibits — no exceptions. Better to have no museum at all than one that presents males as “women.”

In a hundred years&#8217; time, people will still remember the name J. K. Rowling — and not only for writing one of the most beloved and best-selling fantasy book series of all time. She will be remembered for the role she played in saving civilization from the harms of gender ideology.
Rowling is an internationally beloved icon, known for bringing joy to millions through the Harry Potter book series. Harry Potter was, and still is, a cultural behemoth that has been retold through movies, video games, and theme parks, and is now being turned into an HBO<a href="https://people.com/harry-potter-series-cast-side-by-side-original-movie-actors-11934425"> television series</a>.
But in 2020, almost overnight, Rowling went from being the queen of popular culture to becoming an internationally hated villain. Her crime? Defending women&#8217;s rights and publicly acknowledging you can&#8217;t change your sex.
In late 2019, Rowling was already receiving backlash for hinting she disagreed with the transgender agenda in social media posts. However, she fully outed herself as &#8220;transphobic&#8221; in June 2020 by publishing a powerful and highly controversial <a href="https://www.jkrowling.com/opinions/j-k-rowling-writes-about-her-reasons-for-speaking-out-on-sex-and-gender-issues/">essay</a> that defended women&#8217;s rights and biological reality.
Rowling explained in the essay how &#8220;trans activism&#8221; was threatening the rights of women across the globe and expressed concerns over women losing their fertility from medical transitions and the dangers of allowing men into female private spaces.
&#8220;It’s been clear to me for a while that the new trans activism is having (or is likely to have, if all its demands are met) a significant impact on many of the causes I support, because it’s pushing to erode the legal definition of sex and replace it with gender,&#8221; Rowling wrote.
&#8220;I do not want to make natal girls and women less safe. When you throw open the doors of bathrooms and changing rooms to any man who believes or feels he’s a woman — and, as I’ve said, gender confirmation certificates may now be granted without any need for surgery or hormones — then you open the door to any and all men who wish to come inside. That is the simple truth.&#8221;
It&#8217;s incredible to read this essay today and see how ahead of the curve Rowling was in understanding the many ways gender ideology harms women and society. 
As one of the earliest and boldest celebrity figures to speak clearly on these issues, Rowling earned brutal backlash from nearly every corner of the internet, from fans removing their Harry Potter tattoos because they now represented &#8220;<a href="https://www.vice.com/en/article/fans-tell-us-why-they-want-to-cover-up-their-harry-potter-tattoos/#:~:text=Some%20people%20have%20covered%20up%20their%20Harry,assume%20she%20has%20similar%20views%20to%20Rowling.">transphobia</a>&#8221; to harsh<a href="https://www.theguardian.com/film/2024/may/01/daniel-radcliffe-says-rupture-with-jk-rowling-over-trans-rights-is-really-sad"> criticism</a> from Daniel Radcliffe, the actor who played Harry Potter in the movies.
Rowling has been called derogatory names and had her physical safety<a href="https://www.ncregister.com/blog/jk-rowling-opens-up-about-threats"> threatened</a> thousands of times over her opposition of gender ideology. And almost six years after publishing her initial essay, she&#8217;s still being criticized for supporting biological reality and women&#8217;s rights.
Just last week, Andrew Garfield, a B-list actor best known for being Emma Stone&#8217;s<a href="https://www.elle.com/culture/celebrities/a65796803/emma-stone-andrew-garfield-spider-man-experience/"> ex-boyfriend</a>, went viral for taking a dig at Rowling in an interview. Garfield called watching the Harry Potter movies &#8220;<a href="https://www.the-independent.com/arts-entertainment/films/news/andrew-garfield-harry-potter-daniel-radcliffe-jk-rowling-b2948074.html">controversial</a>&#8221; and said, &#8220;We shouldn’t be, you know, putting money in the pocket of inhumane legislation right now through she that shall remain nameless.&#8221;
Rowling has a <a href="https://jkrwf.org/">fund</a> that supports individuals and organizations &#8220;fighting to retain women’s and girls’ sex-based rights in all aspects of life.&#8221; Rowlings financially <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/society/2025/apr/16/critics-of-trans-rights-win-uk-supreme-court-case-over-definition-of-woman">supported</a> a group that won a U.K. Supreme Court case in 2025 that clarified the definition of &#8220;woman&#8221; should be based on biological sex in the U.K.&#8217;s Equality Act 2010.
In response to that win, Rowling tweeted a photo of herself, holding a drink and smoking a cigar, with the simple caption, &#8220;I love it when a plan comes together.&#8221;
Tuesday is Transgender Day of Visibility, a fake holiday<a href="https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/the-history-behind-international-transgender-day-of-visibility"> created by a man</a> pretending to be a woman, and I think it&#8217;s a perfect day to celebrate J.K. Rowling. Rowling is a real woman who has held the line on biological reality for us all. She has given the issue of gender ideology visibility in a way that only a <a href="https://www.forbes.com/sites/mattcraig/2025/05/30/jk-rowling-is-a-billionaire-again/">billionaire</a> cultural icon could.
She&#8217;s chosen to make herself visible, putting a target on her back, and has taken many arrows from angry transgender activists who have threatened her safety and tried to <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-64729304">destroy her legacy</a>. In spite of it all, she&#8217;s carried on with a smile and a sharp sense of humor and has helped other women fighting similar battles.
One of her first acts of defiance against gender ideology happened in 2019 when Rowling defended <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/society/2023/jul/01/maya-forstater-woman-who-lost-job-after-tweeting-view-on-biological-sex-awarded-100000-by-tribunal">Maya Forstater</a>, a British researcher who lost her job for tweeting that a man cannot change his biological sex. She continues to face headwinds for women fighting for biological rights on the ground through the<a href="https://jkrwf.org/"> J.K. Rowling Women&#8217;s Fund</a>.
Rowling could have just chosen to stay quiet and enjoy life in her private Scottish castle. Instead, she chose to fight for and support those who don&#8217;t have the means or voice to fight alone. Those who give up their own comfort for the betterment of others are the kinds of historical figures that save civilizations. History will remember J. K. Rowling for doing her part.

America&#8217;s most influential psychological association told The Daily Wire it still recommends children receive so-called gender affirming medical interventions, despite downplaying its support of child transgenderism in a letter to government <a href="https://www.ftc.gov/about-ftc/commissioners-staff/commissioners" target="_blank" rel="noopener">officials</a><a href="https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/chairman-ferguson-gender-affirming-care-workshop-speech.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> investigating</a> fraud in pediatric gender medicine.
The American Psychological Association (APA) confirmed in a written statement that it continues to &#8220;support treatments for minors seeking gender affirming care&#8221; in alignment with its 2024 <a href="https://www.apa.org/about/policy/transgender-nonbinary-inclusive-care.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">policy statement,</a> which endorses minors receiving harmful gender medical interventions, condemns state laws banning child sex-changes, and says &#8220;non-affirmation&#8221; of a child&#8217;s transgender identity can cause &#8220;significant harm.&#8221;
In a September 2025 <a href="https://dw-wp-production.imgix.net/2026/03/American-Psychological-Assocation-Response-to-FTC-RFI_Gender-Affirming-Care-9-26-2025_Signature.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">letter</a> to the Federal Trade Commission — which is actively investigating <a href="https://www.ftc.gov/news-events/news/press-releases/2025/06/ftc-announces-workshop-exploring-unfair-or-deceptive-trade-practices-gender-affirming-care-minors#:~:text=Home-,FTC%20Announces%20Workshop%20on%20Exploring%20Unfair%20or%20Deceptive%20Trade%20Practices,whistleblowers%2C%20detransitioners%2C%20and%20parents.&amp;text=Tags:,Health%20Care" target="_blank" rel="noopener">unfair and deceptive</a> practices within the field of pediatric &#8220;gender affirming care&#8221; — the APA downplayed its support of &#8220;gender affirming care,&#8221; stating the primary role of a therapist treating children with gender dysphoria is assessment, not affirmation.
&#8220;It is important to stress that during the assessment and evaluation process, a diagnosis of gender dysphoria or the identification of a youth as gender-questioning is not an automatic or singular pathway to medical intervention or even social transitioning,&#8221; the letter reads.
This statement contradicts the idea that &#8220;non-affirmation&#8221; poses a direct harm to children, as included in the 2024 policy.
Kurt Miceli, the chief medical officer at Do No Harm, says the APA wants to &#8220;have it both ways.&#8221;
&#8220;The American Psychological Association continues its attempt at having it both ways,&#8221; Miceli told The Daily Wire. &#8220;In its 2024 Policy Statement, the APA explicitly endorses &#8216;medical gender‑affirming care,&#8217; even urging insurers to cover these interventions for minors.&#8221;
The APA told The Daily Wire the &#8220;2024 policy statement and the FTC letter are consistent&#8221; and that &#8220;both documents reflect APA&#8217;s consistent commitment to evidence-based psychological care.&#8221;
The APA is the latest medical group to try to shed its reputation for radical transgender ideology. When President Donald Trump returned to office, his administration purged gender ideology from the government and launched investigations into practices within pediatric gender medicine. Since then, gender clinics <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/hospitals-across-u-s-stop-transitioning-children-after-trump-signs-order-protecting-kids">across the country</a> have closed their doors, while the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/this-fight-is-not-over-major-medical-org-rejects-transgender-surgeries-for-kids">American Society of Plastic Surgery</a> has backed away from supporting sex-rejecting procedures for minors.
&#8220;The APA’s 2024 and 2025 statements cannot be reconciled,&#8221; Miceli told The Daily Wire. &#8220;It is an audacious contradiction for the APA to try to claim that their definition of ‘affirming care’ means anything other than sex-rejecting interventions.&#8221;
The Daily Wire asked the APA how it simultaneously viewed the &#8220;non-affirmation&#8221; of a child&#8217;s gender identity as causing &#8220;significant harm&#8221; while recommending a psychologist&#8217;s role is to assess, rather than affirm, a child&#8217;s gender confusion. The Daily Wire also asked for clarity on what clinical standards the APA recommends to help therapists determine when non-affirmation of gender identity is harmful versus when it&#8217;s an appropriate part of a clinical assessment.
The APA did not provide a straightforward answer to these questions, but said, &#8220;In APA’s professional framework, affirming care does not mean a predetermined outcome, automatic validation of any particular intervention, or bypassing clinical judgment.&#8221;
The Daily Wire asked the APA if a therapist should withhold using a child&#8217;s preferred pronouns — a form of &#8220;social transition&#8221; — until the child undergoes an extensive assessment.
&#8220;Affirmation and assessment work together,&#8221; the APA told The Daily Wire. &#8220;Supporting a child does not mean steering them toward any particular outcome, and neither a diagnosis nor a youth’s questions about gender automatically lead to social or medical transition.&#8221;
The APA also said it &#8220;cautions that equating gender‑affirming care solely with medical transition can stigmatize and limit access to essential mental health services.&#8221;
With more than<a href="https://www.apa.org/about" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> 190,000 members</a> nationwide, the APA has a far-reaching impact on the psychological field and the practice of therapy throughout the United States. The Justice Department launched a probe Thursday into multiple women’s prisons across California and Maine, where transgender-identifying men have been accused of rape and making other sexual advances toward female inmates. 
The investigation from the Justice Department will look at whether the states violated the constitutional rights of the imprisoned women with their policies of allowing men to be placed in women&#8217;s prisons. One of the prisons under scrutiny is the Central California Women’s Facility in Madera County, where a man who served time at the facility was charged with raping a female inmate. 
“Keeping men out of women’s prisons is not only common sense – it’s a matter of safety and constitutional rights,” said Attorney General Pam Bondi. “The Trump Administration will not stand by if governors are facilitating the abuse of biological women under the guise of inclusion.”
At the Maine Correctional Center in Windham, a 27-year-old man named Andrew Balcer, <a href="https://apps1.web.maine.gov/cgi-bin/online/correctionssearch/detail.pl?mdoc_number1=156589">serving</a> 40 years for murdering his parents, is currently housed at the women’s unit. State <a href="https://apps1.web.maine.gov/cgi-bin/online/correctionssearch/detail.pl?mdoc_number1=156589">records</a> list him as “female” and standing 6’1’’ tall and 310 pounds. The man has been accused of forcibly kissing incarcerated women and offering to impregnate them, <a href="https://www.sunjournal.com/2026/03/04/women-say-they-are-being-harassed-by-transgender-inmate-at-maine-prison/">according</a> to the Sun Journal.

In a case out of Madera County, California, a 53-year-old man named Tremaine Carroll was charged with rape after he was placed at the Central California Women’s Facility. A fellow inmate was found to be pregnant, and two other women also accused him of rape.
&#8220;After his first cellmate became pregnant and was moved to Los Angeles, two other cellmates of his had complained that he had raped them, so we have filed rape charges against this inmate,&#8221; <a href="https://abc7chicago.com/post/pronoun-use-center-rape-case-involving-former-chowchilla-central-california-womens-facility-prisoner-tremaine-carroll/15696730/">said</a> District Attorney Sally Moreno in December 2024.
The case is still working its way through the court system, but court officials have mandated that female pronouns be used for Carroll. Court records indicate that Tremaine has had a number of different lawyers and is in the process of getting a new lawyer appointed by the county from an outside legal firm.  
Thanks to a law sponsored by far-Left state Senator Scott Wiener and <a href="https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billTextClient.xhtml?bill_id=201920200SB132">signed</a> by Governor Gavin Newsom, at least 45 males who identify as transgender have been <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/california-dems-vote-to-keep-male-sex-offenders-in-female-prisons">transferred</a> into female prisons since the law was implemented in September 2020. Last year, state Democrats rejected a proposal to keep male sex criminals out of female prisons. 
“California’s Transgender Respect, Agency, and Dignity Act has provided none of these qualities to the female inmates of state prisons who have been forced to share space with biological men who are violent felons,” said First Assistant United States Attorney Bill Essayli of the Central District of California. “Our Constitution protects women from having their civil rights violated by harmful state legislation wrapped in the language of ‘equity’ and ‘progress.’”
The California Institution for Women in San Bernardino County is also being scrutinized.  
&#8220;Despite the Department of Justice&#8217;s claims, this is yet another politically motivated, predetermined investigation designed to target states that stand up to the Trump Administration and its abuses,&#8221; <a href="https://www.newscentermaine.com/article/news/local/justice-department-investigates-prison-housing-policies-maine-california/97-f2623a63-f421-4c62-a899-17b138fb2d8b">said</a> Democratic Maine Governor Janet Mills. 
Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon said her office will ensure that women are protected from male inmates. 
“Under my leadership, the Civil Rights Division will not allow women incarcerated in jails or prisons to be subject to unconstitutional risks of harm from male inmates,” she said. “These investigations will uncover whether the dangerous national trend of housing men in women’s prisons has resulted in violations of women’s constitutional rights.”

COLUMBUS, OHIO—I just finished testifying for a bill that would make it illegal for the state government to rip children away from loving parents who refuse to &#8220;affirm&#8221; that child&#8217;s so-called &#8220;transgender identity.&#8221;
It&#8217;s not every day an investigative journalist weighs in on legislation like this. But this is different.
More than two years ago, I began investigating how transgender activists were working to weaponize child welfare systems against loving parents.
I was horrified by what I found.
The <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2024/10/23/exclusive-child-services-dept-working-with-biden-harris-admin-tracked-trans-kids-on-secret-database/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Cuyahoga County</a> Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS) was chosen as one of four agencies nationwide to develop gender ideology-based child welfare interventions that suggest parents and caregivers who do not affirm a child’s sexual orientation or gender confusion are unsafe.
As part of its &#8220;Safe Identification&#8221; program, Cuyahoga County DCFS created a database that tracked the sexual orientation, transgender identity, and pronouns of children who interacted with the child welfare system. The database noted if parents were &#8220;accepting&#8221; or &#8220;rejecting&#8221; of their child&#8217;s gender identity. Parents who were &#8220;rejecting&#8221; could be referred to re-education programs where parents learned to &#8220;accept&#8221; their child&#8217;s transgender identity as a last resort before CPS stepped in and removed the child.
Some transgender activists believe refusing to affirm a child’s gender confusion is a form of<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-harris-hhs-consulted-activist-who-said-parents-should-be-prosecuted-for-transphobia" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> child abuse</a> and have even suggested families should be prosecuted as abusers for refusing to call their gender confused child the opposite sex.
Public records revealed that behind the scenes, members of the Cuyahoga County DCFS team were communicating with the Biden administration on how interventions like Safe Identification could be implemented at the federal level.
This would be insane regardless of where it was happening. But the fact that it&#8217;s been going on in a red state like Ohio is truly shocking.
As part of my reporting, I reached out to Ohio State Representative Gary Click and asked him to comment on what was happening in Cuyahoga County. He promised the Ohio legislature would not be idle while local government attempted to usurp the role of the family and harm children.
Click has kept that promise by co-sponsoring the<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ohio-may-protect-parents-who-wont-affirm-their-childs-gender-identity" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> Affirming Families First Act</a>, the bill I testified in favor of today. It states that parents have a right to use their child’s given name and correct pronouns, and prohibits state agencies from using state funds for training, education, or programming that characterizes affirming a child’s sex as abuse or neglect.
I’m proud to have played a part in this bill’s inspiration. As a mother, I know if we can’t protect our children from lies and raise them according to reality, without fear of retribution from the state, we no longer live in a free nation.
When the state strips custody from loving parents who simply don&#8217;t want to affirm their confused child&#8217;s gender delusions, it violates all the rights Americans hold dear: the freedoms of speech and religion first and foremost, as well as parental rights and medical freedom. All these protections are swiftly swept away as families are ripped apart and vulnerable youth are placed in the hands of transgender activists who encourage them to destroy their bodies.
I&#8217;ve spoken with parents who’ve experienced this nightmare, and I wouldn&#8217;t wish their pain on my worst enemy. I want to see vulnerable children and families in our nation protected from this insanity, which is why I&#8217;ve traveled to Ohio to testify in favor of a bill that will protect parents who do not “affirm” their transgender-identifying children.
I wasn&#8217;t always a journalist. I&#8217;m a nurse by training, but switched careers when I realized the extent to which radical transgender ideology was endangering children. I&#8217;ve since spent hundreds of hours exposing the horrors of transgenderism because I understand stopping gender ideology is the most important issue of our time. If we can’t define the basic reality of the sexes, we can’t define anything.
President Donald Trump has kept his campaign promises to purge gender ideology from the federal government, but without legislation, these policies can be reversed as quickly as they were implemented.
Some parental rights advocates I&#8217;ve spoken with are concerned we are one election away from a full return to the transgender insanity we were living through just 15 months ago.
The transgender activists have lost some major battles under President Trump. But the war for sanity is raging on. We can&#8217;t let up on fighting gender ideology until it&#8217;s been returned to the pit of hell it came from.
