<div>The DOJ investigation comes on the heels of an April 2026 <a href="https://www.americafirstpolicy.com/assets/uploads/files/AFPI_WDOC_Complaint_04.27.26.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">lawsuit</a> filed by The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) that argues forcing women to share a prison with violent men violates the fundamental constitutional rights of women to be safe while incarcerated. The lawsuit describes two women who were allegedly assaulted by Christopher Williams, a man who self-identifies as female. The lawsuit calls Williams a “six-foot-four, ‘biologically intact’ male” and “convicted child sex offender” with a history of violence against women.</div>

A Texas hospital that once promoted transgender procedures on kids will create the first-ever “detransition clinic” for those who were subjected to gender procedures, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said Friday. 
The detransition clinic will be created as part of a settlement negotiated between Texas Children’s Hospital, Attorney General Ken Paxton, and the Justice Department. Texas Children’s Hospital will additionally pay a $10 million fine and fire five doctors who “performed harmful medical interventions on Texans,” Paxton said. 
“Today is a monumental day in the fight to stop the radical transgender movement. This historic settlement reflects an institutional and fundamental cultural shift away from radical ‘gender’ ideology,” said Paxton. “I applaud Texas Children’s Hospital for changing course and committing to being a part of the solution by agreeing to form a first-of-its-kind Detransition Clinic that will help provide free care to those who have been victimized by twisted, morally bankrupt transgender ideology.”
The detransition care will be paid for by Texas Children’s Hospital for the first five years and will seek to reverse previous transgender procedures performed on patients. Detransitioners like Chloe Cole, who was put on cross-sex hormones and had her breasts removed as a teen, have pushed for there to be more resources for those pushed into gender confusion as children. 
Paxton said the $10 million monetary settlement was due to the hospital billing Texas Medicaid for illegal gender procedures. The hospital has denied those accusations. 
“Under my watch, I will investigate and bring the full force of the law against any Texas hospital that abuses children with harmful medical interventions to ‘transition’ kids,” Paxton said. 
The settlement will additionally require the hospital to no longer provide “gender-transition” services and take additional steps to ensure compliance with Texas law protecting kids from transgender procedures. 
In a statement to The Daily Wire, the hospital insisted that it had always been in compliance with the law and accused Paxton and the Justice Department of an “unconscionable campaign of mistruths and mischaracterizations related to gender affirming care.”
“Today, we made the difficult decision to settle with the Texas Attorney General and the Department of Justice, closing a chapter that has been wrought with falsehoods and distractions,” the hospital said. “To be clear — we are settling to protect our resources from endless and costly litigation. This settlement will allow us to redirect those precious resources to focus on the life-saving care and groundbreaking discoveries of our exceptional clinicians and scientists.”
Texas Children’s Hospital is still being <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/exclusive-elon-musk-funds-suit-against-texas-childrens-for-malicious-prosecution-of-eithan-haim">sued</a> by Dr. Eithan Haim, a whistleblower who released documents appearing to show its transgender medical program was still active and performing attempted transition procedures on children as young as 11.

A disturbing police video released this week shows a transgender-identifying man admitting to the murder of his parents because his mom wanted to stop him from having gender surgery. 
Video <a href="https://kutv.com/news/local/mia-bailey-details-how-she-killed-her-parents-in-interrogation-video">obtained</a> by KUTV shows a 28-year-old Collin Troy Bailey confessing to murdering his parents, Joseph and Gail, in Washington County, Utah, after police arrested him back in June 2024. Bailey, who claims to be a woman and goes by “Mia,” was convicted in November 2025 and sentenced to two 25-year life sentences for the murders. 
&#8220;I told them I was going to kill myself so many times,&#8221; Bailey told police. &#8220;Mental health declining, that’s why I needed that surgery.&#8221;

He told investigators his mom attempted to stop him from having transgender surgery. 
“She was trying to sabotage it. She always had boundary issues,&#8221; Bailey said. &#8220;I had one thing going on, and she took that away from me. [&#8230;] She can&#8217;t say sorry to save her life, apparently. And I gave her so many chances throughout my life.&#8221;
The footage shows Bailey flippantly referring to blindly shooting through a door, not caring if he injured his brother, saying, “If I did, so what?” 
Bailey said he had no regrets about murdering his parents. 
&#8220;So much for family,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I spent years trying to fix that broken ass family. Eventually, I had to get out, either going to kill myself or kill.&#8221;
Bailey told police that the public should be more supportive of people who want to become transgender. 
Police <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/police-catch-transgender-suspect-accused-of-double-murder-hiding-in-weeds">tracked</a> Bailey down and found him in the woods after he carried out the murders with a gun he bought from a pawn shop. Bailey had planned to kill himself, but was detained by police without incident after a manhunt. 
&#8220;I went to my parents to do the deed. Kill them,&#8221; he said. &#8220;It was spur-of-the-moment. I don’t regret it. I hate them. That was the last straw.&#8221;
Bailey <a href="https://corrections.utah.gov/inmate-services/offender-search/">appears</a> to currently be <a href="https://corrections.utah.gov/about-us/correctional-facilties/utah-state-correctional-facility">housed</a> in Utah State Correctional Facility’s Antelope unit, a maximum security male facility. 
There have been growing concerns about violence motivated by transgender ideology after the last several years have seen multiple deadly school shootings targeting Christian schools carried out by gender-confused assailants.

I saw a lot of my high school friends for the last time in March of 2020 — not because they died from COVID-19, but because they transitioned genders. The names of the people I cared about were no more; those were “dead names.” I watched them step away from lunch tables and afternoons at the park so they could inject themselves with cross-sex hormones.
One of my best friends feigned sadness when she told me she would be missing from my graduation party, as well as most of our other favorite summertime traditions, because she was having &#8220;top surgery.&#8221; In the years since I graduated high school, I have seen over a dozen of my former classmates change their names and their genders. The people I grew up beside abandoned their identities.
Sometimes I will pass them on the street, and I find myself squinting to remember their faces before they were modified by testosterone or their names before they abandoned the ones their parents gave them. It’s been a few years, so we’ve all grown and changed, but the wounds of transgenderism leave a deep scar.
I first met my friends when I was 14. After growing up in a small, Christian elementary school, switching to the local suburban high school felt like entering a whole new world. We had a massive theater for the drama department, two enormous art classrooms, and a huge band room, each of which appealed to my artistic inclinations. My friends were in the same classes as me; we took drawing and photography, learned creative writing, and auditioned for the school play together. After school, we would walk to the park or get ice cream. 
I was 15 when my friends suggested I join the GSA Club. The GSA, the national network of Gay and Straight Alliance clubs for school-aged children, only met a couple of times a month. When I informed my friends that I wasn’t gay, they told me that I was. One of my girlfriends took my phone, added me to the GSA group chat, and proudly told me, “You’re bisexual. I am, too. That’s why we get along so well.” 
I never attended a GSA meeting, but for the next few years, I was told multiple times that I wasn’t straight. Older generations often think of peer pressure like an Archie cartoon, where a group of larger, scarier teenagers encircle a weaker kid and convince him that if he doesn’t smoke a cigarette, he’s a loser. Peer pressure surrounding gender ideology is different because the pressure comes from a deceptive misinterpretation of love. I was told I was bisexual because it gave me the freedom to date anyone I wanted. I was told I was asexual because it gave me the space to have relationships without physical connection. Eventually, one of my friends tried to tell me I was nonbinary as an explanation of why I liked skateboarding and rock ‘n roll. 
I never bought into the lies of gender ideology, but over time, almost every single one of my friends did. Everyone, at the very least, identified as bisexual, and eventually nonbinary. Multiple people asked to be called by different names or different pronouns. At 16, I watched one of my best friends start taking testosterone, excitedly posting daily blogs about how exciting the journey was. These same kids were on SSRIs, went to weekly therapy sessions, and had self-harm addictions. I watched friends go in and out of mental health facilities, then claim that the only cure was to start taking cross-sex hormones or change their birth certificates.
The <a href="https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamanetworkopen/fullarticle/2824336#google_vignette">reported rates</a> of depression for transgender individuals is 63% compared to the normal 13%, and their rates of suicidal ideation are also comparably higher. My friends explored transgenderism because they hoped that changing their gender would fix their mental health problems, but it only made them worse.
During the 2020 pandemic, when most people were struggling to get doctors&#8217; appointments for cancer treatments or <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/andrew-cuomo-to-defend-nursing-home-covid-policy-as-congress-demands-accountability-for-13000-deaths?author=Ashe+Schow&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Andrew+Cuomo+To+Defend+Nursing+Home+COVID+Policy+As+Congress+Demands+Accountability+For+13%2C000+Deaths">hospice care for nursing home patients</a>, one of my best friends was able to get a double-incision mastectomy. All of our friends celebrated the surgery, and when my friend posted pictures of her chest afterward, I saw how transgenderism had ruined the once-healthy body of someone I loved.
The pandemic radicalized a lot of young people, and, thankfully, I was one of them. In the months I spent isolated from my friend group, I ditched all of my liberal inclinations. I paid attention to the news, did my own research, and crossed the Rubicon when I started listening to Michael Knowles each morning.
One afternoon, I posted a photo of myself in a MAGA hat. That marked the end of most of my friendships. The people I had spent years having lunch with, riding bikes with, and playing Mario Kart with were now flooding my inbox, calling me a Nazi and a pedophile sympathizer. Some people blocked me; others sent me paragraphs-long messages asking me why I hated them and wanted them dead. I was removed from group chats, uninvited from parties, and scrubbed from former friends’ social media feeds. 
My experience is not unique. Nearly <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/sociological-contagion-and-the-growing-non-binary-movement">40% </a>of Gen Z claim they are on the LGBT spectrum. At the same time, a <a href="https://www.axios.com/2024/09/28/gen-z-men-conservative-poll">growing percentage</a> of Gen Z is identifying as conservative, surpassing their millennial counterparts in some studies. There is a massive political divide within my generation. Those who identify as liberal are extremely far to the left, while those who identify as conservative are <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/gen-z-isnt-lost-were-looking-for-a-conservatism-that-works">further</a> to the right than previous generations.
A portion of the divide is a product of gender, as Gen Z women are much more likely to be liberal. However, some of the divide is a product of age, with younger Zoomers being more likely to identify as conservative. Regardless of where the lines are drawn, the end result is the same: Young Americans are more polarized than they have ever been. Politics is tearing apart teenagers and children. Our culture is suffering under the weight of dangerous factions such as gender ideology.
I miss my friends. Hardly a day goes by that I don’t think of an inside joke or remember a good day we spent together — listening to Smash Mouth in the film lab or when the power went out in history class. But my friends are gone. They changed their names, and they changed their bodies. They have injected themselves with hormones. They have chopped off their own body parts. Thankfully, the number of young people identifying as LGBT is <a href="https://relevantmagazine.com/culture/young-adults-identifying-as-lgbtq-has-dropped-21-since-2023/">declining</a>, but the effects of the transgender hysteria will harm young Americans for years.

I Watched My Friends Change Their Names, Bodies, And Identities Almost Overnight

The most infamous county in the United States of America for the past five years has been Loudoun County, Virginia. It is not because of its wineries; it is not because of its horse farms; it is not because of its beautiful, quaint downtown Leesburg; it is not even because of its data centers — rather, it is known for its school system. And that, unfortunately, is not a good thing. In just the last month, two stories illustrate why Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) have become shameful. First, law enforcement <a href="https://nypost.com/2026/04/24/us-news/trans-substitute-teacher-19-allegedly-plotted-chilling-murder-spree-at-a-virginia-school/">arrested a 19-year-old, “transgender” substitute teacher</a> for plotting a “murder spree” at a local high school and then bragging online about having a kill list. Then, just this week, it was <a href="https://wjla.com/news/local/freedom-hs-student-accused-of-recording-peers-in-school-bathroom">reported</a> that a “transgender” student at another high school recorded and photographed over forty boys using the bathroom over the span of three years, resulting in another <a href="https://x.com/NickMinock/status/2054185784672927938?s=20">criminal investigation</a>.
Sadly, these incidents have become commonplace at LCPS since 2021, when the school board debated and passed <a href="https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:VA6C2:7d508727-41ce-425d-b0a6-f4fa0a1d2ad8">Policy 8040</a>, which formalized providing super-rights to “transgender and gender expansive students,” allowing them to use opposite-sex restrooms when it matched their “gender identity,” while requiring all other students to accept this or find a private restroom or elsewhere to change. From that moment on, school board members and administrators have been determined to elevate all things “transgender” to the detriment of students, parents, teachers, and common sense. In the process, LCPS has put its federal funding at risk, has exposed itself to significant liability, and has become a national laughingstock.
LCPS’s self-inflicted humiliation really began during the debate over its “transgender” policy in May 2021, when it suspended a teacher for speaking against the policy at a school board meeting because his faith prohibited him from acknowledging students’ “gender identity” by using their chosen pronouns. The trial court swiftly <a href="https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:VA6C2:8cb135d5-fe3b-4988-b154-63804808feb8">reinstated the teacher</a>, finding that LCPS had engaged in an “unnecessary and vindictive” attempt to violate the teacher’s free speech and free exercise rights. Rather than letting it go, LCPS appealed the decision to the Virginia Supreme Court and promptly <a href="https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:VA6C2:caaa5bea-6fb3-40c8-acc5-15eb33188a2d">lost again</a>.
The next month, hundreds of community members showed up to a school board meeting where Policy 8040 was being debated. The overwhelming majority of attendees voiced concerns that the policy would effectively eliminate students’ safety and privacy in same-sex restrooms and locker rooms. Following a round of applause for one of the speakers opposed to the proposed policy, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-parents-protesting-crt-trans-ideology-arrested-after-loudoun-county-school-board-shuts-down-meeting">LCPS shut down the public meeting</a> and arrested two individuals. When the meeting resumed, then-superintendent Scott Ziegler claimed that there were no records of assaults in LCPS bathrooms, and the school board passed Policy 8040 six weeks later, again over fierce vocal opposition from the community.
In October 2021, The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/loudoun-county-schools-tried-to-conceal-sexual-assault-against-daughter-in-bathroom-father-says">broke the story</a> that one of the individuals who had been arrested at the June meeting was the father of a girl who had been raped in a bathroom at Stone Bridge High School by a boy wearing a skirt. To make matters worse, the boy was quietly transferred to a different school, where he sexually assaulted a second girl. According to sworn testimony in court, the boy identified as “gender expansive.” This became national news, the subject of congressional oversight hearings, and arguably a motivating factor in Virginians electing Glenn Youngkin, Winsome Sears, and Jason Miyares as governor, lieutenant governor, and attorney general, respectively. This remains the subject of an <a href="https://wjla.com/news/local/loudoun-county-scott-smith-sexual-assault-student-daughter-bathroom-convicted-restroom-stone-bridge-high-school-vice-principal-title-xi-lawsuit-federal-eastern-district-msiconduct-superintendent">active Department of Education Title IX investigation</a> and a <a href="https://wjla.com/news/local/loudoun-county-scott-smith-sexual-assault-student-daughter-bathroom-convicted-restroom-stone-bridge-high-school-vice-principal-title-xi-lawsuit-federal-eastern-district-msiconduct-superintendent">federal lawsuit</a> filed by the victim.
Upon taking office, Miyares opened an investigation, which ultimately ripened into a special grand jury investigation and the indictments of then-Superintendent Ziegler and then-Public Information Officer Wayde Byard. Byard was ultimately <a href="https://wtop.com/local/2024/09/acquitted-of-perjury-longtime-loudoun-co-schools-spokesman-has-new-book-on-school-culture-war/">found not guilty of felony perjury</a>, but <a href="https://wjla.com/news/local/loudoun-county-public-schools-lcps-former-superintendent-scott-zeigler-verdict-guilty-acquitted-investigation-sexual-assaults-jury-trial-special-gran-jury-erin-brooks-virginia-special-education">Ziegler was convicted</a> of using his public office to retaliate against a teacher who spoke up about being inappropriately touched by a student. While Ziegler’s conviction was ultimately <a href="https://www.loudounnow.com/news/loudoun-judge-sets-aside-ziegler-conviction-orders-new-trial/article_04d65594-dca0-11ee-a183-cbe64e26a494.html">vacated due to a flawed jury instruction</a>, the school board fired him.
For the next four years, parents continued to show up at school board meetings, pleading with the board to repeal Policy 8040 and restore some level of sanity to its schools. In July 2025, following AFL’s formal request that the federal Department of Education open a Title IX investigation into Policy 8040, the Department of Education <a href="https://www.ed.gov/about/news/press-release/us-department-of-education-finds-five-northern-virginia-school-districts-violation-of-title-ix">announced</a> it had determined that LCPS’s policies constituted unlawful sex discrimination under Title IX. LCPS would have to rescind its “transgender” policies to come into compliance with federal law or risk losing all federal funding. In a move that would surprise no one in Loudoun County, LCPS <a href="https://www.loudounnow.com/news/loudoun-school-board-again-bucks-federal-pressure-on-title-ix-compliance/article_ba0bad16-de62-4f10-9c63-3c23d4cdcf63.html">voted to refuse to comply</a> with the Department of Education&#8217;s requirements to resolve the matter.
And, just days after telling the federal government to pound sand, LCPS <a href="https://www.loudounnow.com/news/loudoun-school-board-again-bucks-federal-pressure-on-title-ix-compliance/article_ba0bad16-de62-4f10-9c63-3c23d4cdcf63.html">suspended two boys</a> for objecting to an allegedly “transgender” female student using their locker room and filming other boys while she did so. Charged by LCPS with violating Title IX, the boys filed their own Title IX complaint against the female student for filming them and others in a boys’ locker room. LCPS dismissed their complaint. Enter the Department of Education yet again. The Department opened another Title IX investigation, finding the school system had engaged in sex discrimination against the two boys. The two boys also brought a federal lawsuit against LCPS, which led to a settlement this past February.
Loudoun County Public School parents have every right to wonder how a student could have surreptitiously recorded over 40 other students using the restroom over a three-year period. It strains credulity to believe that this situation had never been brought to the attention of teachers or administrators until now. And given that LCPS has shown a clear pattern of preferential treatment toward anyone who identifies as “transgender or gender expansive,” it would surprise absolutely no one if this student’s behavior had been covered up for that exact reason.
The good news is that parents in Loudoun County may soon get long-deserved answers about the dumpster fire that is their school system. That is because LCPS Superintendent Aaron Spence has been called to testify before the House Education and Workforce Committee on June 10 at a hearing titled “Breaking Trust: Attacks on Parental Rights, Inappropriate Content, and Legal Abuses in America’s Schools.” LCPS may have been able to evade the tough questions over the past five years by limiting public comment, turning off cameras during school board meetings, and labeling every inconvenient fact “Misinformation and Disinformation.”  Now, however, the most infamous school system in America will be the subject of a must-see congressional hearing on Capitol Hill. Get the popcorn ready. This will be a good one.

Over the weekend, high school preliminaries in Orange County became the latest theater of the absurd. AB Hernandez, a male competing as a senior for Jurupa Valley High School, <a href="https://www.dailymail.com/sport/othersports/article-15805153/Trans-athlete-sparks-protests-California-girls-track.html">dominated</a> the girls&#8217; field in the CIF Southern Section Division 3, seizing the triple jump title by several feet and clearing over 20 feet in the long jump — besting the nearest female competitor by more than a foot. Hernandez also tied for first in the high jump, repeating a pattern of dominance that has sparked fierce protests from athletes and parents alike, the Daily Mail reported.

While the &#8220;Save Girls Sports&#8221; organization and frustrated families gathered at Yorba Linda High School to decry the erasure of female biological reality, the most stinging rebuke came from Navratilova. The 18-time Grand Slam champion, a harsh critic of President Donald Trump, still took aim at the leading Democratic candidate for the 2028 presidential nomination, torching California Governor Gavin Newsom for his refusal to protect female athletes and labeling the state-sanctioned charade as &#8220;cheating.&#8221;

&#8220;Newsom could overturn this in a second. No excuse,&#8221; Navratilova <a href="https://www.dailymail.com/sport/othersports/article-15804005/martina-navratilova-gavin-newsom-california-track.html">wrote</a>, emphasizing that the governor has the executive authority to intervene but chooses instead to hide behind bureaucratic red tape. Responding to the news that Hernandez remains seeded at the top of upcoming tournaments, she added a caustic, &#8220;Thanks for nothing [Gavin Newsom].&#8221;

Navratilova’s fury was echoed by fellow Olympic legends. Three-time gold medalist Nancy Hogshead blasted Newsom’s office for its &#8220;big fail&#8221; in legal and biological analysis. Hogshead noted that while Newsom’s camp pays lip service to &#8220;fairness, dignity, and respect,&#8221; it pointedly excludes biological girls from that standard.
&#8220;Females aren’t weakened males; males and females are built from different molds,&#8221; Hogshead stated, dismantling the &#8220;woke&#8221; notion that gender identity can override the material reality of bone density and muscle mass.

A spokesman for Newsom attacked the governor&#8217;s critics after it was announced that a <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/outkick-sports/newsom-office-source-responds-planned-protest-trans-athlete-state-playoff-girls-track-meet" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“Save Girls Sports” protest</a> would be held at the track meet.
“The Governor has said discussions on this issue should be guided by fairness, dignity, and respect. He rejects the right wing’s cynical attempt to weaponize this debate as an excuse to vilify individual kids,&#8221; the spokesman stated. &#8220;The Governor’s position is simple: stand with all kids and stand up to bullies.&#8221;

This prompted Sophia Lorey of Save Girls Sports to fire back: &#8220;Shame on Governor Newsom for calling the girls behind me bullies&#8230; These girls are not bullies for defending fairness.&#8221;

While Newsom remains ensconced in his progressive ivory tower, the federal government is taking notice. The Department of Justice has already filed suit against California agencies for Title IX violations, and the Department of Education has expanded its investigation into 17 other institutions.

For Navratilova and those who still believe in the &#8220;unique biology of females,&#8221; the message to Sacramento is clear: biological reality isn&#8217;t a &#8220;right-wing weapon&#8221; — it&#8217;s a fact, and ignoring it is nothing short of state-sponsored cheating.

Maryland Democratic Governor Wes Moore signaled support this week for allowing minors to pursue sex change procedures, comments that could complicate Moore’s emerging reputation as a more culturally moderate Democrat ahead of the 2028 presidential cycle.
During an interview on the &#8220;PBD Podcast&#8221; this week, host Patrick Bet-David asked Moore how he would respond if his 12-year-old son came to him wanting to transition genders and whether he would advise waiting until adulthood. Moore initially emphasized parental support and involvement, saying he would want his child to feel “safe in his own skin” and know he had “a partner in me to help him along that journey.”
But when pressed directly on whether he would tell his son to wait until turning 18, Moore declined. “If this is how he is feeling, and I feel like I’m closely tied to him, I’m not gonna advise him on something that he feels,” Moore responded before reiterating that he would want to remain involved in the process.
“I’m not going to condemn him, nor castigate him. I’m not going to kick him out of the house. I’m not going to do anything that’s going to hurt him,” Moore added.

The exchange has drawn scrutiny as Moore emerges as a possible Democratic presidential contender in 2028. The topic has become one of the GOP’s most effective cultural wedge issues in recent elections, with Republicans arguing Democrats are out of step with voters on questions involving youth gender transition procedures, parental rights, and school policies.
<a href="https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2025/02/26/americans-have-grown-more-supportive-of-restrictions-for-trans-people-in-recent-years/">Polling</a> in recent years has consistently shown broad public discomfort with medical gender transitions for minors, particularly among independents and swing voters, even as Democratic activists and left-wing groups have pushed party leaders to fully embrace gender-affirming care policies. Republicans seized heavily on the issue during the 2024 election cycle, framing Democrats as ideologically extreme on cultural questions while positioning themselves as defenders of parental authority and traditional norms.
Moore’s remarks may also stand out because they came during a long-form interview setting rather than a carefully scripted campaign event or policy speech, giving voters a more direct look at how he approaches one of the country’s most politically sensitive debates. While Moore repeatedly stressed compassion and parental involvement, he notably stopped short of endorsing age restrictions or urging caution before adulthood.
Moore has not formally announced a 2028 campaign, but he is widely viewed as a rising national Democratic figure and future presidential prospect.

Democrat Governor Says He’d Support Sex Change Procedures For His 12-Year-Old Son

A Republican congressman is pushing the Trump administration to investigate a North Carolina high school after female students complained that a biological male has been using the women&#8217;s locker room, according to a letter first obtained by The Daily Wire. 
Rep. Addison McDowell wrote a <a href="https://www.scribd.com/document/1036268220/Title-IX-Letter-to-OCR">letter</a> on Thursday calling on the Education Department to investigate Cox Mill High School in Cabarrus County for <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/principal-tells-girls-to-go-somewhere-else-if-theyre-uncomfortable-with-boys-in-their-bathrooms">reportedly allowing</a> a boy to access intimate female spaces. He urged Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Kimberly Richey to review a parental complaint filed on April 17 claiming the school violated a female student&#8217;s Title IX privacy rights. 
“I was profoundly concerned to learn of reports that the school is allowing biologically male students to enter women’s restrooms and locker room facilities on school property,” McDowell wrote. “As a father of three girls and one on the way, and the Representative for the Sixth Congressional District of North Carolina, I remain committed to working to protect women and girls and preserving their civil rights for generations to come.”
The Trump administration has interpreted Title IX as protecting the right of girls to access private, single-sex spaces such as bathrooms and locker rooms. 
In recent months, students and parents have asked the Cabarrus County School Board to adopt policies ensuring female-only spaces at the high school. School officials have downplayed concerns from parents, saying some claims about incidents involving the transgender student are false. 
The district previously <a href="https://www.wcnc.com/article/news/verify/viral-claim-that-boy-tried-to-watch-young-girl-in-school-restroom-is-false-cabarrus-county-school-district-says">said</a> it was constrained by a law that mandates “schools may not discriminate against students by denying them access to the bathroom corresponding to their gender identity.”
McDowell said the district must step up to ensure students&#8217; privacy. 
“It is the bare minimum for schools to ensure a safe learning environment, and schools owe students’ parents a guarantee that the school is taking every available measure to protect the health and safety of kids,” he said. “The policy that the school district has adopted is in direct opposition to these principles.”
On Tuesday, the organization NC Values <a href="https://x.com/NCValues/status/2051752454035824984" target="_blank" rel="noopener">released</a> a video featuring Trista Ruck, a junior at Cox Mill High School, who said she had seen a male in the girls&#8217; bathroom. 
&#8220;I encountered a male in the female restroom. I walked straight to the restroom, did my business, and then whenever I went to go wash my hands, he walked in,&#8221; she said. &#8220;He then just looked at me, and then went about his business, but honestly, I felt uncomfortable. Why would I want someone who has different parts than me in the same bathroom as me?&#8221;

Incarcerated women are suing a state prison system that allows violent “transgender” men to be housed in female prisons.
The Washington Department of Corrections (DOC) gives violent male convicts who self-identify as transgender full access to women’s prisons, including cells, bathrooms, and showers. The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) argues these actions are discriminatory and unsafe. By forcing women to share a prison with violent men, Washington DOC is violating the fundamental constitutional rights of women to be safe while incarcerated, according to a <a href="https://www.americafirstpolicy.com/assets/uploads/files/AFPI_WDOC_Complaint_04.27.26.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">lawsuit</a> filed on April 27.
“Washington’s housing policy subjects women to cruel and unusual punishment by disregarding the biological differences that justify sex-separated facilities in the first place,” Leigh Ann O’Neill, an AFPI attorney representing the plaintiffs, told The Daily Wire. “I am proud to support this action on behalf of the female inmates.”
The lawsuit highlights public data showing that over 50% of males in federal prisons who self-identified as transgender between May 2024 and January 2025 were sex offenders. Placing male sex offenders in women&#8217;s prisons has resulted in physical and sexual assaults against women.
&#8220;The housing of these male inmates with females — including as bunkmates in the same cell — has led to multiple instances of violence and sexual abuse against the female inmates, persistent harassment, and the routine intimidation of female inmates in violation of their fundamental constitutional rights to serve their sentences in safety and without further punishment,&#8221; states the lawsuit. &#8220;[Washington] DOC&#8217;s Transgender Inmate Policy exposes female inmates to a population statistically more likely of having committed a sexual offense, and only females can become pregnant as a result of these offenses.&#8221;
The plaintiffs, the Foundation Against Intolerance &amp; Racism, Inc., and Faith Booher-Smith, are suing the Washington DOC and Tim Lang in his official capacity as Secretary of the Department of Corrections.

“Williams approached her silently from behind and struck her on the side of her face with his fist, then grabbed her hair and threw her to the ground before kicking her repeatedly with such force that she sustained visible injuries, including, facial bruising, a laceration in her mouth, and swelling to her jaw and eye,” states the lawsuit.
Williams is described in the lawsuit as a “six-foot-four, ‘biologically intact’ male” and “convicted child sex offender” that allegedly <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/male-sex-offender-claims-to-be-trans-accused-of-harassment-in-womens-prison" target="_blank" rel="noopener">assaulted</a> and harassed his former cell mate, Mozzy Clark.
“As Ms. Clark has alleged, Williams sexually assaulted her for months during the time she was forced to share a cell with him,” states the lawsuit. “Williams masturbated in front of her, groped her while she slept, and repeatedly threatened her with rape.”
Clark brought allegations against Williams in a <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.wawd.343153/gov.uscourts.wawd.343153.1.0.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">lawsuit</a> she filed against the Washington DOC in December 2024.
Claiming he did not feel safe “being classified as male,” Williams repeatedly asked to be transferred to WCCW, public <a href="https://cdn01.dailycaller.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Doc2-copy.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">records</a> show. A Washington DOC Housing Assignment Review committee denied his request in November 2019, recommending instead that he was transferred to a single cell in a male prison due to his “past violence towards women,” public records <a href="https://cdn01.dailycaller.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Doc1-copy-1.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">show</a>.
When Williams requested to be transferred to WCCW in the summer of 2021, Eric Jackson, the former Superintendent of a male prison where Williams had been incarcerated, recommended against his transfer to WCCW due to his history of violence against women.
“Due to Williams&#8217; serious infraction history and the most recent conviction where Williams assaulted and inflicted serious life-threatening injuries to a female victim, would not recommend placement at WCCW,” a document from August 2021 exclusively obtained by The Daily Wire states.
Despite these recommendations, the Washington DOC moved Williams to WCCW in the fall of 2021 in alignment with its transgender housing policies. Within months of his arrival to WCCW, Williams allegedly assaulted Clark.
Williams is serving a sentence for first-degree assault and has an <a href="https://doc.wa.gov/sentencing-frequently-asked-questions" target="_blank" rel="noopener">earned release</a> date of 2038, according to previous <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2025/05/08/exclusive-male-transgender-inmate-who-allegedly-terrorized-female-cellmate-long-history-prison-violence/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reporting</a>. He is currently being housed in a male prison, according to the Washington DOC <a href="https://vinelink.vineapps.com/person-detail/offender/355377" target="_blank" rel="noopener">website</a>.
The Washington DOC published its <a href="https://oco.wa.gov/sites/default/files/2021%20OCO%20Trans%20Report%20FINAL%20with%20DOC%20Response.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">first transgender policy</a> allowing inmates to be <a href="https://doc.wa.gov/sites/default/files/data/files/490700.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">housed according</a> to their gender identity, rather than biology, in February 2020.
&#8220;Nothing in the Policy even prohibits a male who is sexually attracted to females — let alone a male convicted of raping females —  from ultimately sharing an unsupervised cell with a female inmate, so long as he claims to &#8216;identify&#8217; as a woman,&#8221; states the lawsuit.
&#8220;Male inmates known to Plaintiffs who are attracted to females and who make no effort to conform to a female &#8216;gender identity&#8217; are permitted to be housed at WCCW, share a cell with female inmates, enter the bathrooms and other intimate spaces designated for females, and even have sexual relations with female inmates.&#8221;
“Women are uniquely exposed to risks — including the possibility of pregnancy — that male inmates do not face. That disparity underscores a fundamental violation of the women’s equal protection rights,&#8221; O’Neill told The Daily Wire.
Washington DOC has some of the most radical transgender policies in the country. It further expanded its gender ideology policies in October 2023 after reaching a <a href="https://disabilityrightswa.org/drw-reaches-agreement-with-doc-to-improve-care-for-transgender-people-with-disabilities/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">settlement</a> with <a href="https://disabilityrightswa.org/about-us/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Disability Rights Washington</a> (DRW), a federally funded <a href="https://taggs.hhs.gov/Detail/RecipDetail?arg_EntityId=ZOXBFfA5zdfgkqJp4FjugQ%3D%3D" target="_blank" rel="noopener">nonprofit</a> that claimed the prison system was <a href="https://disabilityrightswa.org/drw-reaches-agreement-with-doc-to-improve-care-for-transgender-people-with-disabilities/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">violating</a> the rights of transgender inmates by failing to provide medical sex-change procedures. The Washington DOC now provides inmates with cross-sex clothing, surgery, and sex-change medical interventions as part of the settlement.
The AFPI legal team says this special treatment of men is further evidence of discrimination against women, who have to pay for personal items and accommodations that are provided to trans-identifying male inmates at no cost.
“[Washington] DOC routinely categorizes medically necessary care for female inmates as ‘elective’ or ‘non-urgent,’ resulting in delay or denial of treatment. At the same time, sex-rejecting procedures for trans-identifying male inmates are approved and prioritized under standards that are no more urgent—and in many cases less urgent or entirely unnecessary—than the care denied to female 
inmates,” states the lawsuit.
The Washington DOC told The Daily Wire it does not comment on pending litigation.

WASHINGTON — The new White House Counter Terrorism Strategy promises &#8220;rapid identification and neutralization of violent secular political groups,&#8221; including those subscribing to transgender ideology, The Daily Wire has learned.
The long-awaited report was published Wednesday afternoon and examines threats of terrorism to the United States from all angles. It also includes a strong threat from President Donald Trump to any adversary who plans to hurt Americans: “We Will Find You and We Will Kill You.”
During a call with reporters on Wednesday, Sebastian Gorka, the senior director for counterterrorism at the White House National Security Council, slammed previous administrations for ignoring or underplaying real threats while weaponizing agencies against Americans, especially Americans of faith.
&#8220;As real threats were ignored or underplayed, Americans have witnessed the politically motivated killings of Christians and conservatives increasingly committed by violent Left-wing extremists, including the assassination of my friend Charlie Kirk by a radical who espoused extremist transgender ideologies,&#8221; the counterterrorism senior director said. 
The Trump White House is taking that threat very seriously, he noted, and, in addition to the threats posed by cartels and by Jihadist groups, it is specifically focused on &#8220;violent secular political groups.&#8221;
&#8220;In addition to cartels and Islamist terror groups, our national counterterrorism activities will prioritize the rapid identification and neutralization of violent secular political groups whose ideology is anti-American, radically pro-gender, or anarchist, such as Antifa,&#8221; Gorka explained. &#8221; We will use all the tools constitutionally available to us to map them at home, identify their membership, map their ties to international organizations like Antifa, and use law enforcement tools to cripple them operationally before they can maim or kill the innocent.&#8221; 
The Trump administration will do the same with state sponsors of groups and governments who are undertaking lethal plots on U.S. soil or against Americans anywhere, he added.
Gorka told The Daily Wire on Wednesday that the United States is seeing a &#8220;resurgence of violent Left-wing ideologies.&#8221; 
&#8220;This is familiar to anyone who&#8217;s studied modern terrorism,&#8221; he noted. &#8220;The age of modern terrorism actually begins in the 1920s with the anarchist movement in Russia. Over time it has morphed. It has developed.&#8221;
The National Counter Terrorism senior director pointed to the slew of violence that trans-identifying individuals have committed against Christians in recent years.
&#8220;Sadly,&#8221; he said, &#8220;if you look at the manifestos of individuals who have undertaken successful attacks on the innocent, the justifications for the likes of Audrey Hale, the Covenant School shooter, if you look at Tyler Robinson &#8230; the assassin of Charlie Kirk, if you look at Robin or Robert Westman, the murderer of the little children at the Annunciation Catholic School last year, we see an ideology that ostensibly began by preaching tolerance, being used by specific actors to wage violence against the most innocent little children at Catholic schools, at churches.&#8221; 
&#8220;This is a threat we will take very seriously, whether you are Right-wing inspired or Left-wing inspired,&#8221; Gorka emphasized. &#8220;The point at which you advocate for violence or use violence yourself for political purposes means you are actually undertaking terrorism and we will not permit that to happen on the United States.&#8221; 
Charlie Kirk’s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-last-questions-charlie-kirk-answered-were-about-a-trans-gun-ban-that-initiative-is-stalled">last conversation before he was assassinated centered</a> on the disturbing rise in transgender violence: he was addressing the question of whether or not the Justice Department should ban guns for people who identify as transgender. Authorities said that he was killed by Tyler Robinson, who was charged with shooting Kirk in the neck.
Robinson lived with his “transgender partner,” a male named Lance Twiggs, who identifies as a transgender woman.
Weeks before Kirk&#8217;s death, on August 27, 2025, trans-identifying shooter Robert Westman <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/what-we-know-about-the-trans-identifying-gunman-who-slaughtered-catholic-school-children" target="_blank" rel="noopener">killed Catholic school children</a> before taking his own life. And Westman’s attack came just two years after another trans-identifying killer targeted Christian school children in Nashville.
&#8220;It is the great irony of the modern age that we have a political side of the aisle that preaches acceptance and tolerance while at the same time cheering the death of people like my friend Charlie Kirk or assassination attempts against my boss President Trump,&#8221; Gorka said on Wednesday. 
&#8220;We will not permit politically motivated violence in the United States from either side of the aisle, but the sad truth is the Left has far more politically motivated assassinations or attempted assassinations to its credit in recent years, not the Right.&#8221;

The Trump administration opened an investigation on Monday into a historic all-women’s college that admits gender-confused men.
The Department of Education confirmed in a <a href="https://defendinged.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Office-for-Civil-Rights-Case-Number-01-25-2398-Smith-College-Parshall-Perry-5-4-26.pdf">letter</a> that it had launched a probe into whether Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, was violating Title IX. The investigation comes almost one year <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/all-womens-college-breaking-the-law-by-admitting-trans-identifying-men-complaint">after</a> watchdog organization Defending Education filed a civil rights complaint over its transgender policies. 
“The complaint alleges that the College, one of the largest women’s colleges in the United States, discriminates against women on the basis of sex by admitting males who identify as women (‘self-identified transgender women’) and by permitting male students to use intimate facilities designated for women,” the Education Department’s Office of Civil Rights wrote in a letter on Monday to Defending Education. “[The Office of Civil Rights] is opening the complaint for investigation.”
The office will determine whether there are any merits to Defending Education’s complaint, which was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/all-womens-college-breaking-the-law-by-admitting-trans-identifying-men-complaint">first reported</a> on by The Daily Wire in June 2025. 
The complaint said that the school violates federal policy by allowing males who identify as females to take the place of females in admissions. Smith College only admitted about 22% of applicants for the 2024-2025 school year. 
The stated policies make it clear that the historically all-women’s college allows men to enter so long as they identify as transgender. The decision to admit males was first made in 2015 after Smith <a href="https://www.smith.edu/president-kathleen-mccartney/letters/2014-15/admission-policy-announcement" target="_blank" rel="noopener">conducted</a> a year-long study group on the topic. 
“People who identify as women — cis, trans, and nonbinary women — are eligible to apply to Smith,” the college <a href="https://www.smith.edu/your-campus/offices-services/equity-inclusion/gender-identity-expression">explains</a>. “Smith’s policy is one of self-identification. The applicant’s affirmation of identity is sufficient.”
Smith also says that it has an “all-gender locker room in the athletic facilities” and is working on making more multi-stall “all-gender” bathrooms. 
Defending Education Vice President Sarah Parshall Perry said she looked forward to the department&#8217;s investigation. 
&#8220;Smith College has a longstanding reputation as a women&#8217;s college of exclusive excellence. But that hasn&#8217;t prevented it from falling victim to the fiction of &#8216;transgender&#8217; womanhood,&#8221; she said. &#8220;Admitting men who feel like women means that the institution — formerly one of the nation&#8217;s prestigious &#8216;Seven Sisters&#8217; all-women&#8217;s colleges — is no longer for women only.&#8221;

A male science professor at the University of Oxford is facing criticism from fellow academics for reportedly wearing large “plastic breasts” while teaching.
Matt Rattley, a <a href="https://www.st-hildas.ox.ac.uk/people/matt-rattley">lecturer</a> in biochemistry at Oxford’s St. Hilda’s College, went viral this week after a video was <a href="https://x.com/IsntWorkingPod/status/2048503195521909058">posted</a> on X with him talking about imposter syndrome. Rattley, who lists “they/them” pronouns on LinkedIn, has a long, wispy beard and appears to wear prosthetic breasts.
Oxford professor Michael Biggs <a href="https://www.spiked-online.com/2026/04/29/why-is-oxford-indulging-a-lecturer-who-wears-his-plastic-breasts-at-work/">told</a> the British magazine Spiked that there is “a strong case that Mr Rattley is creating a degrading and offensive environment, especially for female students, which would constitute sexual harassment.”
Biggs added that adults should not bring “their sexual interests” to work, but that they should be free to do what they want in private.
Rattley has been a non-stipendiary lecturer at St. Hilda&#8217;s since October 2023, according to the college. St. Hilda’s was initially founded as an all women’s college back in 1893. The college did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
In a video pulled from his LinkedIn that has been viewed over 2.5 million times, Rattley discussed creating a website and the problem of “imposter syndrome.”
“The problem I&#8217;m running up against is some imposter syndrome — classic. Basically, what does it mean to be an expert in something?  Because it&#8217;s really not obvious to me at what point I could describe myself as an expert in something. I have expertise in things,” he said. &#8220;I&#8217;ve been teaching plenty.  My chemistry is pretty solid, but I think I still have this feeling that declaring myself an expert in something is a little bit uncomfortable.”

Journalist Jo Bartosch <a href="https://www.spiked-online.com/2026/04/29/why-is-oxford-indulging-a-lecturer-who-wears-his-plastic-breasts-at-work/">wrote</a> in an article published Wednesday that no one in Rattley’s department has publicly addressed the controversy.
“No one in his male-dominated department has publicly criticised his sexist sartorial choices, and he has been pictured and filmed at professional events looking as though he has wandered in from a stag do,” she wrote.
Bartosch added that the university will not tell Rattley to dress appropriately to work, but will go after critics of transgender ideology. She added that it was insulting to female students and teachers that the university allowed Rattley to wear his fake breasts while teaching.
“Ultimately, a university is not a stage, nor a fetish club,” she wrote. “It is a place of learning, where young people ought to be able to study without being forced to navigate someone else’s exhibitionism.”
