“Twilight” actress Rachelle Lefevre made a video accusing Target of “trying to erase” LGBTQ people because the retailer opted to move its Pride collection to the back of the store.
“I came in here two days ago and my 7-year-old, who’s nonbinary, saw it and said, ‘Look, Mom, it’s pride Look, they’re going to celebrate me,’” the Canadian actress said in an Instagram post that’s since gone viral. Lefevre addressed her followers with a quivering voice, sounding like she was almost in tears over what happened next.
“I can’t bring them here anymore, at least for the entire month of June, because if they walk in, and all the other people who walk in and go, ‘Where’d it go?’ are going to realize that they are being successful in trying to erase them,” the 44-year-old mom of two said. “We’re not supposed to negotiate with terrorists.”

Target has been getting slammed by leftists and conservatives because of its Pride collection, which included “tuck friendly” and chest-binding swimwear. There were also items designed by someone who sells Satanic merchandise on Etsy.
The retail giant opted to move its Pride displays to the back of the stores following a backlash, citing “threats” to the safety of employees. But leftists saw this move as pandering to conservatives.
“Congratulations, [Target], your performative allyship just went next level. And don’t anyone come back at me with ‘It was a security issue’ because this is a billion dollar company — if they really care, they can hire extra security but instead they chose to send the message that LGBTQ+ people aren’t worth protecting or fighting for,” Lefevre wrote in her post caption.
Her comment section called out the actress for saying she has a “non-binary” child.
“How can a 7 year old be non binary. The poor kid is still developing. Bad parenting!!” one of the top comments says.

“Umm, 7 year old kid doesn’t need to celebrate ‘pride,’” another user wrote in reaction to the video. “You don’t have to push [these] unnecessary things to your kids. My niece and nephew don’t even know what’s [sic] being a ‘non-binary’ and I’m so happy about it. Be a good parent and teach your kids something better than sexuality types.”
Lefevre updated the post saying anyone with negative comments should “unfollow” her.
