Singer D4vd is not pausing his world tour following the discovery of a decomposing, dismembered body in the trunk of a car registered in his name.
The 20-year-old, whose legal name is David Anthony Burke, is reportedly cooperating with the investigation. 
“D4vd has been informed about what’s happened. And, although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities,” his spokesperson said in a statement.
Los Angeles police are looking into the discovery of the unidentified woman’s remains, which were found in bags inside an abandoned Tesla that had been taken to the city impound. The car was searched after employees reported a foul stench coming from the vehicle.
Not much is known about the victim, except that she is 5’2” and had wavy black hair. She is also reported to have the word “Shhh…” tattooed on one of her fingers. Details were also released about the clothing she was wearing, but no updates were given on her age or race.
The incident is being investigated as a homicide, per <a href="https://www.foxla.com/news/la-coroner-releases-details-body-found-tesla-d4vd">Fox 11</a>, but no person of interest has been named.
“We know that we have human remains and we know they were contained within a vehicle,” said Alan Hamilton, LAPD Chief of Detectives.
“We are going to continue the investigation and when a determination is made that potentially there was a homicide, then it will transition into a homicide investigation.”
Burke first gained recognition on TikTok before being signed to Darkroom and Interscope Records. The “Romantic Homicide” singer has 2 million followers on Instagram and 5.4 billion streams on Spotify, per <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/09/10/entertainment/d4vd-criminal-case-takes-interesting-turn-murder-victim-idd-as-female/">The New York Post</a>.
His next show is slated for Wednesday night in Kansas City, Missouri.

Whoopi Goldberg is once again claiming that one reason she won’t retire from hosting “The View” is that she doesn’t have enough money.
The 69-year-old comedian discussed the situation during a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight. When asked if she was ready to slow down and enjoy her life, Goldberg replied, “Yeah, but who can afford to do that? You know if you don’t marry well, you gotta keep working.”
The interviewer pressed on that point, saying Goldberg may be someone who could afford to retire. “No, not by now. Not yet,” the “Sister Act” star insisted.
At another point, Goldberg said, “I’ve got to keep paying those bills, baby.”

This isn’t the first time the host of “The View” indicated that she hadn’t earned enough money to step back from her career. 
In November 2024, Goldberg indicated she was “working class” because she was still working.
“I appreciate that people are having a hard time. According to CelebrityNetWorth, Goldberg has a net worth of $60 million and an annual salary of $8 million.
Goldberg and the other panelists on “The View” have been mocked for years for their stridently partisan opinions. They are currently in full meltdown mode over Trump’s second presidency, criticizing him for his stance on almost everything. 
Joy Behar, 83, also spoke with Entertainment Tonight, saying she wasn’t planning to retire either. She said it had to do with creativity, not finances.
“I just really like to write and create stuff,” she said. “Creative people don’t retire, they don’t resign, they just keep going,” she added.

The passing of Native American actor Graham Greene reminded us of the Oscar-winning 1990 film “Dances with Wolves.” The film cast Greene as Kicking Bird, and his screen time with director and star Kevin Costner set the table for the drama.
The film remains beloved for its portrait of the American West, many warts and all. It’s also emblematic of Costner’s career, one dedicated to the great outdoors in the grand American tradition.
Few actors have clung to that mythos like Costner, from his directorial breakthrough with “Dances with Wolves” to his most recent venture, the “Horizon” saga. Along the way, Costner has explored the American wilderness on screens large and small, creating a genuine affection for his country in the process.

He didn’t sugarcoat the land’s flaws then, and he refused to do so in subsequent projects. America’s natural beauty and potential proved his constant companion.
It explains why he endures as more than just a movie star at the age of 70. He’s part of the cultural fabric. And, even when he’s taking political stances that anger a good half of the country, his treasure trove of goodwill barely takes a hit.
Costner famously got left on the editing room floor in 1983’s“The Big Chill,” even though his character’s fate powered the nostalgia-laced drama. Director Lawrence Kasdan made amends to the young actor by casting him in the ensemble western “Silverado.”

From there, Costner landed “The Untouchables” (1987), “Bull Durham” (1988), and “Field of Dreams” (1989), a run of hits few actors could match, then or now. That gave him the clout to start shaping his career on his terms. And that led to “Dances with Wolves.”
The film may appear “woke” in retrospect, showcasing a guilt-ridden white man coming to terms with his country’s cruelty to Native Americans. Costner grounded the Western epic with respect for all its elements – from historical realities to the harsh truths about frontier life. 
Such messaging is often found in movies with what YouTube film and TV critic, The Critical Drinker, famously calls “The Message.” Costner, however, refused to lecture without context or push an agenda without exploring that time and place from all angles.
“Dances with Wolves” brought the nation’s complicated history to life, not with finger-wagging asides but a three-dimensional portrait that couldn’t be denied.
And, in the process, he forged a connection with American storytelling that became his unofficial identity. Costner has worked constantly since that film’s release, and his career has hit the usual bumps along the way.
He returned to the American West repeatedly over the years, from the unsung 2003 western “Open Range” to 1994’s “Wyatt Earp.” The latter got overshadowed by “Tombstone,” released a year earlier and featuring an iconic turn from Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday.
And, when his career appeared to be on the downside, Costner teamed with rising TV producer Taylor Sheridan to anchor “Yellowstone.” The Paramount series wasn’t set in the 1800s, but its Montana backdrop and timeless themes connected to the stories Costner knows best.
How many modern shows reflect the natural beauty of a state like Montana? For Costner and Sheridan, it just felt like home.
At a time when even “hit” TV shows draw a fraction of the audience of prior smashes, “Yellowstone” drew huge ratings. The show’s 2024 finale drew north of 13 million viewers.

The Sheridan saga featured a sprawling cast, but Costner’s John Dutton anchored the show. Once again, the actor’s instincts and authenticity made the series matter.
Actors can only fake so much. Audiences see the now weathered star as a credible and engaging part of the American landscape. He leaned on that persona for not one but two FOX Nation limited series based on Yellowstone history – “Yellowstone One Fifty” and “Yellowstone to Yosemite with Kevin Costner.”
Costner’s cinematic passions came to a head last year with a project that may never be completed as he originally envisioned it.
Costner returned to the director’s chair for 2024’s “Horizon: An American Saga.” The old-school western cost him a pretty penny, and then some. The star used his sizable wealth to help fund what he saw as a four-part movie saga.
The first installment drew modest reviews and tepid box office results – just $38 million worldwide. The second chapter, already filmed, currently lacks a release date, although it debuted at the Venice International Film Festival last year.
The actor has been open about struggling to fund parts three and four, and it’s possible the saga will end with the second film.
The irony? Costner began dreaming up the story behind “Horizon” in the late 1980s, just before his directorial breakthrough with “Dances with Wolves.” His quest to turn the American West into a deeply personal film franchise may have been doomed by fiscal realities, but it’s in line with Costner’s creative self.
He loves America, from its natural splendor to its ability to let citizens dream impossible dreams. And nowhere is that more evident than in the great outdoors.

There’s a lot of buzz about the upcoming documentary, “John Candy: I Like Me,” which premiered Thursday at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
Candy was just 43 when he died from a heart attack in 1994 at the peak of his career, shocking the Hollywood community. The Canadian comedian worked with some of the biggest names in the business, and many, including Steve Martin, Bill Murray, Martin Short, Catherine O’Hara, Macaulay Culkin, Mel Brooks, and Dan Aykroyd, participated in the documentary.

The project was produced by actor Ryan Reynolds and directed by Colin Hanks, the son of actor Tom Hanks. The elder Hanks also appeared with Candy in “Splash” (1984). 
Culkin recounted how Candy served as a “paternal” presence on the set of the cult classic comedy “Uncle Buck” and was one of the first people in Hollywood to recognize that Culkin’s father was abusive.
“I think he always had that really great instinct,” Culkin recalled in the documentary’s trailer.
“I think he saw,” he continued. “Listen, even before the wave crested and the ‘Home Alone’ stuff was happening, it was not hard to see how difficult my father was. It was no secret. He was already a monster.”
“All of a sudden, the fame and the money came, and he became an infamous monster,” Culkin recalled. “He was already not a good guy. I think John was looking a little side-eyed, like, ‘Is everything alright over there? You doing good? Good day? Everything’s alright? Everything good at home? All right.’”
The actor said this was “a testament to the kind of man he was,” and said Candy “was just looking out for” him on set. He also mentioned Candy’s “paternal” presence in his life.
“It doesn’t happen that often. It actually happened less as time went on,” Culkin added. “I wish I got more of that in my life. It’s important that I remember that. I remember John caring when not a lot of people did.”
Candy’s other former co-stars and friends had glowing things to say about him as a colleague and as a person during the emotional trailer. 
“I can’t tell you what was right about John Candy, or what was wrong. But he was my friend,” Murray said. “And &#8230; I don’t wanna cry, but when you see him, when you see his face&#8230;.” he added, trailing off as he began tearing up.
Candy is famous for beloved films such as “Stripes,” “Splash,” “Spaceballs,” “Planes, Trains and Automobiles,” “Uncle Buck,” and “Cool Runnings.”
The documentary is said to include “never-before-seen home videos, intimate access to his family, and candid recollections from collaborators to paint a bigger picture of one of the brightest stars of the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s,” per the synopsis.
“It’s the story of a son, husband, father, friend and professional driven to bring joy to audiences and loved ones while battling personal ghosts and Hollywood pressures.”
“John Candy: I Like Me” becomes available on Prime Video starting October 10.

Legendary fashion designer Giorgio Armani has died at the age of 91.
“With infinite sorrow, the Armani Group announces the passing of its creator, founder and tireless driving force: Giorgio Armani,” the company said in a statement.
“In this company, we have always felt like part of a family. Today, with deep emotion, we feel the void left by the one who founded and nurtured this family with vision, passion, and dedication. But it is precisely in his spirit that we, the employees and the family members who have always worked alongside Mr Armani, commit to protecting what he built and to carrying his company forward in his memory with respect, responsibility, and love.”
Armani had missed his last three fashion shows due to being ill, <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/fashion/2025/sep/04/giorgio-armani-celebrated-italian-fashion-designer-dies-at-91">per</a> The Guardian, but was slated to attend the company’s 50th anniversary celebration later this month.
Born in 1934 in Piacenza, Italy, Armani launched his fashion career by dressing window displays before shifting into menswear design in the 1960s.
“I got into fashion almost by accident and then it slowly grew in me until it completely absorbed me, stealing my life away,” he said of his career, as the outlet noted.
By 1975, Armani launched his own label, taking the stiffness out of traditional tailoring in favor of more fluid styles that became staples of power dressing in the 1980s. Hollywood celebrities helped make the brand a cultural sensation, with Richard Gere in “American Gigolo” being one famous example.
The Armani brand turned into a global empire with everything from suits to fragrances to haute couture garments. It’s still a major player in the fashion industry today. The company earned $2.7 billion in profits last year, which represented a 5% decrease from the previous year.
Hollywood embraced Armani and now they are mourning him, too. Julia Roberts shared a photo of herself posing with the late designer and added the caption, “A true friend. A Legend,” alongside the broken heart emoji.

Actress Robin Wright, best known for starring in cult classic films like “The Princess Bride” and “Forrest Gump,” as well as the Netflix series “House of Cards,” said she fled the United States in favor of life in the United Kingdom.
The 59-year-old star also described America as a “sh** show.”
“It’s liberating to be done,” Wright told The <a href="https://www.thetimes.com/life-style/celebrity/article/robin-wright-parenting-with-sean-penn-moving-to-england-and-my-new-man-gztccccv0">Times of London</a>. “Be done with searching, looking and getting 60% of what you wanted.”
“I love being in this country,” the Texas native said of moving to the coast of England. “There’s a freedom of self here. People are so kind. They’re living. They’re not in the car in traffic, panicked on a phone call, eating a sandwich. That’s most of America. Everything’s rush, competition and speed.”
The Golden Globe winner added, “Everyone’s building a huge house, and I’m just done with all that — I love the quiet. And I’ve met my person. Finally.”
Wright, who has been married three times before, moved to the U.K. with her current boyfriend, architect Henry Smith. The actress was married to outspoken leftist activist Sean Penn from 1996 until 2010.
She is one of several celebrities to leave the United States since Trump was elected president. Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi, Rosie O’Donnell, and Richard Gere are just some of the stars to leave. 
While Wright didn’t mention politics specifically while discussing her departure from the U.S., other celebrities were more explicit about their reason for leaving.

Rumors swirled that the recording artist was walking back his previous statement after a posted reply appeared on Instagram, which came from Snoop’s verified Instagram account. A video clip shared to Hollywood Unlocked included actress TS Madison discussing the controversy. 
The posted comment on the video from Snoop’s verified account said, “I was just caught off guard and had no answer for my grandsons. All my gay friends [know] what’s up, they been calling me with love. My bad for not knowing the answers for a 6-yr-old. Teach me how to learn. I’m not perfect,” it said.

However, according to multiple <a href="https://deadline.com/2025/08/snoop-dogg-my-bad-lightyear-lgbtq-comments-1236502279/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">outlets</a>, Snoop’s representative denies that the rapper made the apology himself, and also stated that no one on his team has admitted to doing so either. It’s unclear how the comment was posted from his verified account.
The 53-year-old recording artist, whose legal name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., sparked backlash from LGBT activists due to his remarks during an appearance on a recent episode of the “It’s Giving” podcast, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/snoop-dogg-calls-out-hollywood-for-lgbt-themes-in-childrens-films-theyre-putting-it-everywhere">reported</a>.
“What you see is what you see, and they’re putting it everywhere,” Snoop said before referencing the 2022 Disney film “Lightyear,” which featured a same-sex couple. 
“They’re like, ‘She had a baby with another woman.’ Well, my grandson, in the middle of the movie is like, ‘Papa Snoop? How she have a baby with a woman? She’s a woman!’” he went on.
The rapper said he thought,” ‘Oh sh**, I didn’t come in for this sh**. I just came to watch the g**damn movie.’” But his grandson wouldn’t let it go, and said,”’ They just said, she and she had a baby … they’re both women. How does she have a baby?’” 
Snoop said the whole thing “f***ed me up. I’m like, scared to go to the movies. Y’all throwing me in the middle of sh** that I don’t have an answer for.”
“It threw me for a loop. I’m like, ‘What part of the movie was this? … These are kids,” he added. “We have to show that at this age? They’re going to ask questions. I don’t have the answer.”
“Lightyear” screenwriter Lauren Gunderson defended the storyline after Snoop’s criticisms started circulating on social media. “So. I created the LIGHTYEAR lesbians,” she <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DN21gOmUDwx/?img_index=1">wrote</a> in a statement on Instagram.
“As we wrote early versions of what became LIGHTYEAR, a key character needed a partner, and it was so natural to write ‘she’ instead of ‘he.’ As small as that detail is in the film, I knew the representational effect it could have. Small line, big deal. I was elated that they kept it,” Gunderson went on. 
“I’m proud of it. To infinity. Love is love… I was proud to see a happy queer couple (even for a few seconds) onscreen. I know they got a lot of sh** for this inclusion, but stuff like this matters because beautiful love like this exists,” she concluded.
“Lightyear” caused a controversy leading up to its release due to the inclusion of a same-sex kiss, which was initially edited out, then restored in response to Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Bill, dubbed the “Don’t Say Gay Bill” by several legacy media outlets and leftists.
The film earned a paltry $226.4 million against a $200 million budget, meaning it likely lost money after factoring in marketing and other expenses.

&#8220;Harry Potter&#8221; film director Chris Columbus cast doubt on the possibility of ever having a cast reunion — and suggested that author J.K. Rowling&#8217;s stance on the transgender issue was the primary reason such an event could never happen.
Columbus, who directed the first two films in the franchise and produced the third, said that differences of opinion on certain political issues would prevent the whole group from ever working together again — and clearly hinted that Rowling was the odd one out on that score.
The question came up during a recent interview with The Sunday Times, when Columbus said that he&#8217;d initially hoped to be able to bring the original cast back together for a film adaptation of the stage show &#8220;Harry Porter and the Cursed Child,&#8221; but that he&#8217;d ruled out such a project for &#8220;political&#8221; reasons.
&#8220;It’s never going to happen. It’s gotten so complicated with all the political stuff. Everyone in the cast has their own opinion, which is different from her opinion, which makes it impossible,&#8221; he explained. &#8220;I haven’t spoken to Miss Rowling in a decade or so, so I have no idea what’s going on with her, but I keep very close contact with Daniel Radcliffe and I just spoke to him a few days ago. I still have a great relationship with all the kids in the cast.&#8221;
Shortly after news of the interview and Columbus&#8217; comments began circulating on social media, Rowling posted a vague response via X.

That troubled minors, especially those who are gay, autistic and trauma-experienced, should be given mental health support instead of irreversible surgeries and drug treatments on non-existent evidence of benefit? That gay people shouldn’t be pressured to include the opposite sex in their dating pools, nor should they be smeared as ‘genital fetishists’ when they don’t? That cross-dressing heterosexual male fetishists aren’t actually oppressed, but having the time of their lives piggybacking off gender identity ideology? Singer Gloria Gaynor is causing a meltdown among leftists after news recently surfaced that she made financial contributions to Republicans. 
The 81-year-old two-time Grammy Award winner first made waves after it was revealed that she would be honored by President Donald Trump with a Kennedy Center award. While many leftists expected Gaynor to decline the tribute, she surprised them all by graciously accepting it. Then, it was revealed by the leftist outlet Meidas News that the singer had donated $22,000 to Republican candidates between 2023 and 2024. Gaynor is widely regarded as a gay icon, primarily because of her 1978 disco anthem “I Will Survive.”
The outlet linked to the <a href="https://www.fec.gov/data/receipts/individual-contributions/?contributor_name=Gloria+Fowles">FEC register</a> showing that the singer made small donations under her real name, Gloria Fowles, to the campaigns of Kevin McCarthy, the National Republican Senatorial Committee, Marsha Blackburn, Dave McCormick, Josh Hawley, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Vivek Ramaswamy, Nikki Haley, and others.
Gaynor has not been outwardly political during her career. Trump’s other nominations for the Kennedy Center honors include country music star George Strait, actor Sylvester Stallone, the rock band KISS, and “Phantom of the Opera” actor Michael Crawford.
The president said he turned down potential award candidates for being &#8220;too woke.”
“I turned down plenty, they were too woke. … I had a couple of wokesters. No, we have great people. This is very different than it used to be,” Trump said.
The president called Gaynor &#8220;one of the most revered singers of the American disco era” and further called “I Will Survive” an “<a href="https://youtu.be/W2K2j_Wakgs">unbelievable song</a>.”

Will Smith is being accused of using AI-generated footage of fans singing along to his music.
The rap artist and movie star has been staging a comeback to the music scene with the release of a new album, “Based on a True Story,” earlier this year. The new music didn’t get great reviews, with one <a href="https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/will-smith-based-on-a-true-story/">reviewer</a> calling it “corny” and “calculated.” Now, a hype video posted to the singer’s official YouTube page is causing even more drama.
Fans pointed out that the people in the background of some clips have distorted appearances and extra limbs, and they are engaging in repetitive motions similar to those found in AI-generated video content. Their reactions call Smith out for the video, which is titled “My favorite part of tour is seeing you all up close. Thank you for seeing me too.”
As of Wednesday, neither Smith nor his rep has commented publicly about the video, and it remains available to view on YouTube.

One of his new song lyrics says, “I heard he won the Oscar but he had to give it back/ And you know they only made him do that sh** because he’s black.”
Another line in the song mentions the incident again: “Him and Jada both crazy girl, what you talkin’ bout?/ You better keep his wife’s name out of your mouth.”
The album’s second song, “You Lookin’ for Me?” also references the drama in his personal life. The lyrics say, “Took a lot, I’m back on top/Y’all gon’ have to get acclimated/Won’t stop, my sh** still hot/ Even though I won’t get nominated.” 
Previously, Smith mentioned that he had received guidance from Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar for the new album. He said Jay-Z told him to “be true to your story,” which helped inspire the title. Lamar told Smith to “say that sh** you always been scared to say.”

I know. I, too, am flabbergasted. Shocked. I am also ecstatic.
Yesterday was a magical day in the history of the United States and perhaps all of Western civilization.
Listen, I will admit when I&#8217;m wrong. Two years ago, when these two lovebirds began their relationship, I thought this was just another one of Taylor Swift’s relationships that would end with a breakup album in which she sang like a 17-year-old about how sad she was that she&#8217;d been rejected, but don&#8217;t worry, she don&#8217;t need no man.
But she does need a man — and that man is Travis Kelce.
I have to say, unironically, I think it&#8217;s great. I hope they have a wonderful marriage. I hope they have lots of kids. I hope she sings lots of songs about being married and having kids, and all those songs are better than her normal songs.
That&#8217;s what I hope for her, because I think that would be a very good thing for the West, for America, for young women particularly — who have been taught for generations that a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle, and that romance is somehow a giveaway to patriarchal institutions.
A core component of human happiness has always been finding a member of the opposite sex, marrying them, having babies with said member of the opposite sex, and enjoying a long-lasting relationship built on love and mutual commitment. That is a very good thing.

Sure, she&#8217;s a billionaire, and he is a multimillionaire athlete, and that is a very, very large ring. That is some serious jewelry. They can afford it.
But you know what? Good for them. It&#8217;s charming and it is good.
I hope that many other people take advantage of the situation to get married and follow in their footsteps, and then have long-lasting, decades-long marriages filled with children and grandchildren. 
This is culturally significant because over the course of the last few decades, there has been a rebellion against normality, against the very idea that men and women ought to get married to one another.
Instead, the idea that was purveyed was that any decisions that men and women made with regard to relationships were equally praiseworthy, and equally useful, and equally likely to lead to happiness.
It’s not true. Tacitly, the reason people are celebrating this marriage is that singledom is not ideal. It is not, in fact, a wonderful, happy existence.
That doesn&#8217;t mean you have to be miserable if you&#8217;re single. What it does mean is that aspiring to be married, to be part of a happy marriage, is a wonderful thing. It&#8217;s an aspiration that is natural to the human heart.
And that is why people are happy for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. The idea that a traditional romance between the high school cheerleader and the high school quarterback is a platonic ideal in America is because that is the basis of the forwarding of civilization.
Marriage is the fundamental, bedrock institution of all successful civilizations. That&#8217;s good.
This is tacitly a cultural rejection of the idea that the actual ideal is non-marriage, that the actual ideal is prancing around like Madonna in your 70s, being a faded pop star, and trying to convince everyone that you are super-duper happy waking up drunk in the mornings by yourself in a five-star hotel.
These images of Swift and Kelce are great. They&#8217;re wonderful. They&#8217;re good for the world.
Perhaps we’ll get a Taylor Swift baby boom. That would be an excellent development for Western Civilization.
What&#8217;s going to be fascinating is to see what comes next for Taylor Swift, aesthetically and musically. We made fun of her album cover a couple of weeks ago on the program, a very kind of over-sexualized album cover, and pointed out that she&#8217;s been getting more and more sexual on her album covers.
It&#8217;s going to be hard to do that when you&#8217;re married and you presumably go on to have kids; it won’t have quite the same sort of resonance.

So what&#8217;s going to happen to Taylor Swift?
Taylor Swift is amazing at marketing herself. But pop music is a teenager’s medium. It is a medium made for teenage girls and people who have a prolonged adolescence in their mid-twenties.
Pop music is based on certain tropes; being brokenhearted about your latest breakup, being messed up about your latest breakup, or something else about your latest breakup. All pop music is basically rooted in sexual lust in terms of its lyrics and or emotional problems. That&#8217;s what pop music is about, which is why people age out of it. The minute that women stop being sexually alluring, it&#8217;s very difficult for them to be successful in the pop world.
Women age out of that in the pop world pretty quickly. Katy Perry, who is five years older than Swift, is the butt of enormous mockery online for her latest tour. She&#8217;s considered to be too old for the game.
I would not be shocked if Taylor Swift&#8217;s next album moves back toward country music. It&#8217;ll be fascinating to watch.
But again, my great hope here is that an entire generation of young people — particularly young women who have been told by the feminist movement and by pop stars like Taylor Swift that relationships are bound to fail and thus they should act with teenage angst — start to mature, along with Taylor Swift.
That would be amazing.
