<p>Actor Ed Harris said he hasn’t been happy with his role on the Taylor Sheridan drama “Dutton Ranch” and even considered breaking his contract to get out of it.</p>
<p>The 75-year-old star plays Everett McKinney, an ally to Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, on the popular “Yellowstone” spinoff show. But he <a href="https://variety.com/2026/tv/news/ed-harris-misled-dutton-ranch-paramount-taylor-sheridan-1236816999/">told</a> Variety he believed the role was going to be more significant, which led to negative feelings.</p>
<p>“Midway through the first season, I was ready to say, ‘get me the f*ck out of here,’ to tell you the truth,” Harris said on the red carpet for Apple TV’s &#8220;The Dink.&#8221; &#8220;I didn’t feel I was being used. I felt very misled. Prior to signing on for it, I was talked to quite a bit about what the season was, and what my character was going to do, and that I was one of the four main characters. And that wasn’t really the case.&#8221;</p>

<p>“I said, ‘I’m feeling underused and inconsequential,’ and they kind of went, ‘Oh,&#8217;” Harris said. “I’m being told my character will have a little bit more to do [in Season 2]. I was just a little frustrated, to tell you the truth,” he added, saying his commitment was for two seasons.</p>
<p>“When I watched the season, it’s fine, it’s pretty good. It seemed like I was relatively important to the story, but the doing of it didn’t feel that way,&#8221; he explained. &#8220;What really pissed me off, to tell you the truth, is the first episode, or the second, they told me before I got to sign on that you get to sing in the bar … and they cut it! They said it was too ‘up’ for the dark ending of the episode … I’m like, ‘F*ck you people!’ That, to me, is reason enough to say, ‘I’m voiding my contract.&#8217;”</p>
<p>Sheridan has been criticized for underutilizing big stars in the past and later expanding their roles, which is what he did with Demi Moore on “Landman.”</p>
<p>“The critics are going to come after me. I’m underutilizing [Moore], can’t write for women, all this nonsense. Then I’m going to kill your husband and you’re going to have to run the oil company. The critics and me … I don’t care what they think, and it annoys the sh*t out of them that I don’t care. I’ll be the first to tell you that there are things that I do that rage-bait them a bit, and this is one of them. F*ck ’em, honestly,” he said last month, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/taylor-sheridan-on-his-critics-i-do-rage-bait-them-fck-em-honestly">reported</a>.</p>

You can never go off of it.’ I’m like, ‘I’m going off it,’ and it was like going off of f*cking heroin. I was sick as a frigging dog for four and a half months. I just thought, ‘I want my life back.’ I had gotten off the majority of the drugs over the years that they had put me on. But I was like, ‘I want a drug-free life.’”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Once I got off that, I decided I’m going to quit smoking pot. And because I think they put so much stuff in it now — they really do — when I stopped smoking pot, I also got sick,” she added. “It’s not like you’re pulling it out of the ground anymore. It’s not like when we were kids. I got pretty sick for a month. I went to my neurologist, and he said, ‘Sharon, I’ve had people dying in the emergency room from marijuana.’”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Stone previously </span><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/sharon-stone-said-she-lost-18m-after-her-2001-stroke-people-took-advantage-of-me"><span style="font-weight: 400;">complained</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> that the stroke had cost her millions of dollars and ruined relationships.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;People took advantage of me during that time. I had $18 million saved because of all my success, but when I got back into my bank account, it was all gone. My refrigerator, my phone — everything was in other people’s names,” Stone told The Hollywood Reporter in 2024. “I had zero money,” she added.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The stroke occurred when Stone was 43. The Academy Award nominee noticed her body felt numb, and there was a “terrible pain” in her head. She was diagnosed with a brain bleed and given a 1% chance of survival at the time.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Cain may be conservative, but he said it’s not something that comes up during performances.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">He also criticized the Trump administration’s handling of illegal immigration and claimed they were “taking sadistic pleasure in the pain they inflict on loyal American workers.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">President Trump shot back with a social media post laying out exactly how he felt about Springsteen’s endless tirades.</span></p>

‘Sex and the City’ Actress Appointed To Help Pick NYC Judges

<p>Singer and convicted sex offender R. Kelly made an official request to President Trump to have his 31-year prison sentence commuted, prompting a response from the White House.</p>
<p>The Chicago Tribune first <a href="https://www.chicagotribune.com/2026/07/14/r-kelly-trump-sentence/">reported</a> this week that the request was made and that Kelly was seeking a reduced sentence rather than a full pardon. The disgraced R&amp;B singer was found guilty of racketeering and sex trafficking in 2021, then convicted of producing child pornography in a separate 2022 federal trial in Chicago.</p>
<p>A White House rep confirmed the request was made but did not indicate if or when it would be approved.</p>
<p>“This appears to be a random submission through the public portal which anyone can submit an application through,” the spokesperson said in a statement, as <a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/r-kelly-trump-commute-prison-sentence-sex-abuse-1235594301/">reported</a> by Rolling Stone. “The submission of a pardon request should not be interpreted to mean anything other than an individual has chosen to submit a request. The team that reviews clemency requests at the White House is not tracking this request at this time. The White House has a thorough review process for all clemency requests, with the President being the ultimate decider.”</p>
<p>Kelly’s attorney, Beau Brindley, has been seeking Trump’s help in reducing his client&#8217;s sentence since last year, and specifically asked that the singer be removed from prison and put on house arrest due to alleged safety concerns.</p>
<p>The singer’s legal rep claimed that three prison officials recruited a terminally ill inmate to kill the singer, promising him early release if he complied.</p>
<p>“The only thing that can protect Mr. Kelly behind the prison walls now is the fact that now the world is watching,” Brindley wrote in a statement last year. “We will call on the courts and President Trump to help put an end to the corruption that now threatens Mr. Kelly’s life.”</p>
<p>The motion was denied, as The Guardian <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/jul/16/r-kelly-donald-trump-appeal-commute-prison-sentence-ntwnfb">noted</a>.</p>
<p>Kelly isn’t the only recording artist seeking Trump’s help to get out of jail. The White House <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/white-house-denies-rumors-of-an-imminent-pardon-for-diddy">shot down rumors</a> last fall that a presidential pardon for rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs was imminent.</p>
<p>Diddy is currently serving a four-year sentence after being found guilty of two prostitution charges. He was facing up to 20 years in prison following a high-profile trial in New York, but was acquitted of the more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.</p>
<p>TMZ broke the story of the pardon in October and said it stood by the story even after the White House denied it. As of now, Diddy is still in prison.</p>

<p>In that film, Neill played Soviet Captain Vasili Borodin — serving under Captain Marko Ramius, who was played by the late Sean Connery. When Ramius reveals his plan to defect to the United States, his loyal second-in command is ready to follow him. But knowing nothing beyond his life in the Soviet Union at the height go the Cold War, he struggles to wrap his brain around the concept of liberty.</p>

<p>But in his real life, in his own way, Neill lived out that Soviet&#8217;s dream.</p>
<p>Born in Ireland, Neill moved to New Zealand with his family when he was just seven years old, and for the rest of his life, he felt more connected to his adopted home than to his birthplace.</p>
<p>Even after reaching the heights of fame — in major releases such as &#8220;Jurassic Park,&#8221; &#8220;The Hunt for Red October,&#8221; &#8220;Event Horizon,&#8221; and more — and building a film career that spanned more than five decades, Neill often preferred the open space and quiet he found at home, making acclaimed pinot noirs at his Two Paddocks winery.</p>
<p>Neill filled his life with animals, many of whom he named after his celebrity friends, joking that the names were meant to ensure that he&#8217;d never eat them. He always asked friends&#8217; permission before naming animals after them, he said, and noted that &#8220;many of them then take an interest in their namesakes. Helena Bonham Carter is always keen to know if she’s calved again.&#8221;</p>

On the same day Cho&#8217;s video was shared, McConnell </span><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/after-28-days-of-silence-mitch-mcconnell-offers-proof-of-life-from-hospital"><span style="font-weight: 400;">posted</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> a proof of life photo and message from his hospital bed and promised that he “still has unfinished business to complete” following his recovery from a fall and a bout of pneumonia. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Even people who commented on Cho’s post took exception to her celebration of Graham’s death.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“You can disagree with a politician and still act like a decent human being,” one Instagram commenter wrote. “Mocking someone’s death says more about you than it does about him. A real comedian creates laughter; they don’t confuse cruelty and outrage with humor.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Man I&#8217;m not a fan of Lindsay Graham but I would never be happy for someone&#8217;s death. Yikes!” another person added.</span></p>

Leftist Comedian Celebrates Death Of Lindsey Graham, Hopes For More

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Actor Sam Neill, best known for his role in the iconic Steven Spielberg classic “Jurassic Park,” died unexpectedly on Monday at the age of 78.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">His family shared a </span><a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DauK0SrT6uJ/?hl=en"><span style="font-weight: 400;">statement</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> on the actor’s passing on Monday morning. “It is with immense sadness that the whānau [extended family] of Sam Neill share the news of his passing on Monday 13th July, in Sydney, Australia,” the statement began.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Sam was surrounded by family and passed with the dignity that has characterized his whole life,” the statement continued. “The loss was sudden and unexpected but blessed by the fact that Sam remained cancer free. They would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at St Vincent’s Private Hospital for their incredible care. More details will be shared later, but for now, on behalf of the family, we ask that you respect their privacy as they navigate this immeasurable loss.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Neill announced in 2023 that he had been diagnosed with a rare blood cancer, but in April of this year, he was declared cancer-free.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The actor, who was born in Northern Ireland, was instantly recognizable for his starring role in “Jurassic Park,” but Neill almost didn’t get the role as there was a lot of competition in Hollywood. Ultimately, the star was picked for the part of Dr. Alan Grant after Harrison Ford turned it down.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I like playing villains and bad guys, characters with moral ambiguity, because, in a way, they are easier to play,” he </span><a href="https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1993-06-13-ca-2614-story.html"><span style="font-weight: 400;">told</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> the Los Angeles Times when the film debuted in 1993.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">He also appeared in films including “The Hunt For Red October” and “The Piano” along with popular television shows such as, “The Tudors” and “Peaky Blinders.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In 1993, Neill </span><a href="https://www.twopaddocks.com/the-story/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">opened a vineyard</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> in New Zealand and saw its continued success as being a major part of his legacy beyond his film career.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">He said during an interview with Esquire U.K. in 2016, “It doesn’t matter how popular an actor you are, nobody will remember you forever. Acting is ephemeral so it’s nice if you can leave something behind, like a great wine or a beautiful house that has a legacy.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Neill is survived by four children and eight grandchildren. Neill&#8217;s son Andrew was placed for adoption when he was a baby, and he and Neill connected later in life and developed a relationship, which the actor detailed in his memoir, “Did I Ever Tell You This?”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Neill was previously in a long-term relationship with New Zealand actress Lisa Harrow and was later married to Japanese makeup artist Noriko Watanabe from 1989 until 2017.</span></p>
<p>The actor took pride in his craft and was not interested in the celebrity lifestyle.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Emily agreed, saying there was “so much to say” about the drama with Lively. </span></p>
<p>“We’ve had to wrestle with so many things and try to understand so many things,” Emily Baldoni said. “Like, how could something like this even happen? Let alone disguised as a fight for women.&#8221;</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Baldoni said he intentionally didn’t add to the conversation until the case was settled. The filmmaker also thanked all his supporters for listening to his side.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“You have given your time to fight for us, and thank you does not feel like enough,” he said. “But we’re here, in large part, because of so many of you and all of our friends and family. One thing that we’ve learned is that when God presses the reset button and everything else is stripped away, that’s when love shows up, and we feel so loved.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The legal drama between the former co-stars started in December 2024 when Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni accusing him of sexual harassment, retaliation, and attempting to “destroy” her reputation. This came after she starred opposite Baldoni in “It Ends With Us,” a film he also directed.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Baldoni fervently denied the claims and filed a countersuit against his co-star and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds. The judge dismissed the countersuit in June 2025. The parties reached a settlement in May 2026. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Baldoni also sued The New York Times for $250 million in a defamation claim for an article about the situation, which he says is “rife with inaccuracies, misrepresentations, and omissions.” </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Former NFL quarterback Tom Brady joked Tuesday that Egypt&#8217;s stunning World Cup collapse against Argentina may have surpassed the infamous &#8220;28-3&#8221; comeback from Super Bowl LI. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Brady took to social media minutes after Argentina rallied from a 2-0 deficit late in the second half to defeat Egypt 3-2 and advance to the World Cup quarterfinals. </span></p>
<p>&#8220;Yeah so that might top 28-3,&#8221; Brady joked.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Brady’s reference to &#8220;28-3&#8221; is a nod to the Patriots&#8217; comeback from a 25-point second-half deficit against the Falcons, the largest comeback in Super Bowl history and Brady&#8217;s fifth Super Bowl win. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Argentina entered the match as the favorite, but Egypt struck first just 15 minutes in, with Yasser Ibrahim scoring. The Egyptians carried a 1-0 lead into halftime before appearing to put the match away when Mostafa Zico scored after an earlier goal had been disallowed. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">On the brink of elimination, Argentina scored three times between the 79th minute and stoppage time. Cristian Romero began the comeback before Lionel Messi tied the match and Enzo Fernández scored the game-winner in the second minute of added time. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Egyptian collapse immediately drew comparisons to some of the biggest blown leads in sports history, including the Atlanta Falcons&#8217; infamous loss to Brady and the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LI. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Brady&#8217;s post suggests Egypt&#8217;s collapse could rank alongside, or even surpass, the Falcons&#8217; meltdown as one of sports&#8217; greatest blown leads.  </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The score &#8220;28-3&#8221; has become shorthand for spectacular collapses in sports and is often cited whenever a team &#8220;chokes&#8221; and squanders a seemingly insurmountable lead. Coincidentally, the match between Egypt and Argentina took place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, home of the Falcons.  </span></p>
