<p>Good Shepherd Services, an organization that <a href="https://goodshepherds.org">claims</a> to be &#8220;guided by social and racial justice,&#8221; shared video of staff members voguing — a kind of dance that originated in LGBTQ circles — during the council&#8217;s first &#8220;Pride Ball.&#8217;</p>

<p>The members of New York City&#8217;s Council appear to be picking up where Democratic socialist Mayor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/mamdani-says-one-month-isnt-long-enough-to-celebrate-queer-and-trans-new-yorkers">Zohran Mamdani</a> left off when he claimed that one month was not long enough to celebrate all of the queer and trans-identifying people of New York.</p>
<p>&#8220;It would take far more than a month to honor the contributions of queer and transgender New Yorkers. <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Perry proceeded to join the alien in doing a dance that appeared to be a mix of a forgotten &#8217;90s workout routine and a mating ritual from a lame bird of paradise.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In the video, the man in the alien costume jumped up into the air and proceeded to do an extended squat. He shook his legs and his butt in seizure-like contortions while swaying his hands and wrists in a circular fashion. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">He then feigned a melodramatic collapse on the floor, came back up to do off-brand Michael Jackson moonwalk step, then fell to the floor again.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The gaylien will reportedly be making appearances at Perry&#8217;s European summer festivals to celebrate pride.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Perry has been notorious for being supportive of gay rights, with her hit song “I Kissed a Girl” being famous for its depiction of a lesbian relationship. <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Now for a little dose of good news: while some companies are clinging to Pride-themed ad campaigns in June, one of the most notorious offenders is going all-in for Americana just ahead of the nation’s 250th birthday.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Target’s homepage on Tuesday featured a man and woman with children smiling and clad in red, white, and blue. “Epic Style: Americana-inspired looks for everyone,” the website headline says.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"> The retail giant still has an LGBT-themed section, because of course they do, but it’s way below the fold and not prominently featured.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In 2021, the Minneapolis-based retailer pushed its Pride collection to the top of its homepage in all its rainbow-hued glory. The banner read, “#takepride everywhere” and included various people, and even a dog, sporting Pride-themed apparel. It also promoted a children’s book called “What Are Your Words? A Book About Pronouns.” </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The march back toward sanity comes as no surprise after Target announced it would be reversing its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in early 2025.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Many years of data, insights, listening and learning have been shaping this next chapter in our strategy,” Chief Community Impact and Equity Officer Kiera Fernandez said in an internal memo at the time. “And as a retailer that serves millions of consumers every day, we understand the importance of staying in step with the evolving external landscape, now and in the future – all in service of driving Target’s growth and winning together.”</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The retailer came under fire in 2023 for marketing a line of Pride-themed merchandise, including products like “tuck-friendly” swimming suits, in prominent displays near the front of its stores. Other products in its “Pride Collection” included small shirts with phrases like “Just Be You And Feel The Love,” Pride-themed onesies, rainbow-colored leggings, tutu skirts, and jumpers.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Following widespread backlash and boycotts, the Pride collection was significantly scaled back in 2024. <p>WASHINGTON— U.S. embassies around the world will not be flying Pride flags this June, thanks to a State Department directive implemented by Secretary of State Marco Rubio shortly after he took office.</p>
<p>Rubio&#8217;s order prohibited State Department personnel from &#8220;conducting or participating in any public diplomacy outreach or representational activity&#8221; celebrating, commemorating, or recognizing theme day holidays or observances that are not official U.S. holidays or the subject of a U.S. Presidential proclamation, according to an internal State Department memo.</p>
<p>A separate State Department &#8220;One Flag Policy&#8221; also states that only the flag of the United States, a Prisoner of War/Missing in Action flag, or the Hostages and Wrongful Detainees flag may be flown or displayed at U.S. facilities worldwide. <p>&#8220;The flag of the United States of America unites all Americans under the universal principles of justice, liberty, and democracy,&#8221; the Trump State Department guidance adds. &#8220;These values, which are the bedrock of our great country, are shared by all American citizens, past and present.&#8221;</p>
<p>A similar directive was issued during President Donald Trump&#8217;s first administration, when Mike Pompeo led the State Department (though some embassies defied the order and still flew the flags). Under President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken encouraged embassies to follow Biden&#8217;s lead in supporting &#8220;the human rights of LGBTQI+ persons and communities.&#8221;</p>
<p>The Biden State Department <a href="https://abcnews.com/Politics/biden-admin-grants-blanket-authorization-fly-pride-flag/story?id=77270757">gave embassies</a> &#8220;blanket written authorization&#8230;to display the Pride flag on the external-facing flagpole, for the duration of the 2021 Pride season.&#8221; Blinken had promised to do this during his confirmation hearings, during which he also promised to name a special LGBTQ envoy. His State Department also provided asylum categories for people who identify as LGBTQ and said they were fleeing persecution.</p>

<p>The U.S. Embassy in Uruguay, for example, raised a Pride Flag in 2023. The embassy&#8217;s Ambassador Heide Fulton said at the time that “raising the Pride flag is a celebration of the hard-won accomplishments of LGBTQI+ activists and their allies, and a reaffirmation of our commitment to the work that still needs to be done to promote the protection of the human rights and fundamental freedoms of LGBTQI+ persons across the globe and within our own communities and workplaces.”</p>
<p>The State Department&#8217;s former Pride Month webpage is <a href="https://www.state.gov/pride-month/">no longer active</a>, and the department does not appear to be running any Pride Month promotions.</p>
<p>The State Department&#8217;s stance toward the theme, which celebrates adults and children who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex, is matched by the White House. Last year, the White House did not celebrate Pride Month at all, and the Department of Education <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/exclusive-education-department-celebrates-title-ix-month-ditches-pride-month">instead declared</a> June “Title IX Month,” highlighting the Trump administration’s actions taken to protect female sports and spaces.</p>
<p>Asked by The Daily Wire on Monday if the White House will be observing Pride Month this June, a White House official responded: &#8220;We celebrate all Americans every day.&#8221;</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Even before &#8220;Pride Month&#8221; started, the Mamdani administration had already made LGBTQ efforts a focal point of the mayor&#8217;s term. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In March, Mamdani created the Mayor&#8217;s Office of LGBTQIA+ Affairs and appointed a trans-identifying man who goes by Taylor Brown to oversee the department’s leadership. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The mayor’s office declined to tell The Daily Wire the city’s budget for the new office. Last year, the New York City Council </span><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I689DsoiPB0"><span style="font-weight: 400;">revealed</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> it had secured the highest funding yet to support “transgender and expansive New Yorkers.” </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In April, Mamdani took on the Trump administration after it removed the Pride flag on Stonewall National Monument&#8217;s federal flagpole. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Mamdani immediately condemned the action, saying, “</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">I am outraged by the removal of the Rainbow Pride Flag from Stonewall National Monument. New York is the birthplace of the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement, and no act of erasure will ever change, or silence, that history.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A coalition of LGBTQ organizations sued the Trump administration. Both parties ended up </span><a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump-admin-mamdani-clash-over-stonewall-monument-reaches-final-decision"><span style="font-weight: 400;">settling</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, and the Trump administration agreed to restore the Pride flag to Stonewall National Monument within seven days. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">On the campaign trail and in his preliminary budget, Mamdani pledged $65 million for trans medical programs after the Trump Administration </span><a href="https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/watch-trump-administration-seeks-to-cut-off-access-to-transgender-health-care-for-u-s-children"><span style="font-weight: 400;">blocked</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> hospitals and providers from performing transition-related medical treatments for minors from participating in Medicaid programs. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Mamdani administration has not yet revealed whether the city will produce funds for the promised $65 million for trans healthcare. </span></p>
<p>New York City is expected to remain one of the nation&#8217;s most prominent hubs for &#8220;Pride Month&#8221; celebrations, even as LGBTQ organizations report a significant decline in corporate sponsorships compared with previous years.</p>
<p>Jordan Braxton, co-president of the United States Association of Prides, <a href="https://www.npr.org/2026/05/30/nx-s1-5805854/pride-parade-struggle-corporate-sponsorships">said</a> most pride celebrations have reported declines in funding.</p>
<p>This year is quickly shaping up to be an even less celebrated pride month than 2025 and looks completely different from the Biden era, when pride flags were hung from the White House balcony. Since returning to office, the Trump administration states that the government now recognizes only two genders — male and female — and has pressured the states to follow suit, especially in men and women&#8217;s sports.</p>


Mamdani Says One Month Isn’t Long Enough To Celebrate Queer And Trans New Yorkers

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Another red state is kicking Pride Month to the curb. In Arkansas, Republican Governor Sarah Sanders is instead declaring June as Fidelity Month. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Here in Arkansas, June is Fidelity Month: fidelity to family, fidelity to country, fidelity to God,” Sanders told The Daily Wire.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In a declaration reviewed exclusively by The Daily Wire, President Donald Trump’s former press secretary says that Fidelity Month will be a time for Arkansans to celebrate the “values of faith, liberty, and patriotism.” </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The resolution highlights the state’s goal of creating a healthy society by sowing faithfulness to “God, family, community, and country.” Arkansas aims to provide an opportunity to return to and reflect on its commitments to the values and virtues found in the nation’s founding documents. June is declared as a time to renew dedication to these core principles. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">While certain cities in Arkansas hold pride events, the state has never formally recognized pride month. The declaration by Arkansas this year, however, is a clear statement in opposition to pride month that had not been done in past years.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Instead, Sanders says, she’s choosing to use the month to nod to the nation’s founding principles.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“The United States of America was founded on the values of faith, liberty, and patriotism as acknowledged in its founding documents and in the statements of its Founding Fathers,” her declaration states. “The commitment of Arkansas to spiritual and civic institutions is at the core of the State&#8217;s collective identity. Cultivating fidelity to God, family, community, and country contributes to human flourishing and supports a healthy, stable, well-ordered society.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Under Sanders, Arkansas has been a leader in countering radical gender ideology that has become synonymous with the LGBTQ movement.</span></p>

Another Red State Is Counter-Programming Pride Month, Focusing On Family Instead

<p>Tennessee leaders made clear that the state values the nuclear family far more than any leftist virtue signaling.</p>
<p>Republican Governor Bill Lee signed a resolution on April 9 designating June as “Nuclear Family Month.” For years, June has been known as Pride Month, when numerous businesses and organizations celebrate every sexuality except heterosexuality and lecture Americans about “acceptance” and “diversity.”</p>
<p>But this year, Tennessee has made June all about traditional families and made clear that the “nuclear family, consisting of one husband, one wife, and any biological, adopted, or fostered children, is God’s design for familial structure and has been the bedrock of society since the creation of the world.”</p>
<p>The resolution also takes a sledgehammer to the leftist pet projects of population control, and instead, prioritizes the growth and development of the traditional family in Tennessee.</p>
<p>“Tennessee’s values do not align with the humanistic, globalist ideologies of the World Health Organization, the United Nations, and like-minded organizations that fight for population control through the means of promoting sterilization and abortion practices,” the Tennessee resolution continues, adding, “The nuclear family is under attack in our beloved State and nation, and it is our responsibility to uplift, protect, and support values that help Tennessee prosper.”</p>
<p>Of course, leftists were not happy with Tennessee after Governor Lee signed the resolution. LGBT activists raged against the language put forward in the resolution, giving Tennesseans one more reason to celebrate what makes their state so great.</p>
<p>Tennessee’s traditional, family-oriented resolution sets the tone for a state that has led the nation in pushing back against radical leftist gender ideology. In the past few years, Tennessee — the home of The Daily Wire — has banned life-altering gender procedures on children, prohibited schools from hiding children’s gender “transitions” from parents, prevented boys from competing in girls sports, and ensuring that girls don’t have to share bathrooms and locker rooms with boys who believe they are the opposite sex.</p>

From Pride To Principles: Tennessee Flips The Script On LGBT’s June Takeover

<p>Tennessee has had enough of LGBT Pride Month and will now recognize June as &#8220;Nuclear Family Month.&#8221;</p>
<p>Tennessee Republican Governor Bill Lee signed a <a href="https://www.capitol.tn.gov/Bills/114/Bill/HJR0182.pdf">resolution</a> this month that designates June as a month for the state to celebrate the nuclear family, which the resolution defines as a husband, a wife, and any biological or adopted children. The resolution easily passed the Republican-dominated state legislature, clearing the House 72-18 last year and passing the Senate 26-4 last month.</p>
<p>&#8220;The nuclear family, consisting of one husband, one wife, and any biological, adopted, or fostered children, is God&#8217;s design for familial structure and has been the bedrock of society since the creation of the world,&#8221; the resolution states.</p>
<p>&#8220;Tennessee&#8217;s values do not align with the humanistic, globalist ideologies of the World Health Organization, the United Nations, and like-minded organizations that fight for population control through the means of promoting sterilization and abortion practices,&#8221; the Tennessee resolution continues, adding, &#8220;The nuclear family is under attack in our beloved State and nation, and it is our responsibility to uplift, protect, and support values that help Tennessee prosper.&#8221;</p>
<p>The resolution highlights the devastating results that children often reap from growing up in fatherless homes. It also highlights a 2016 study, which found that of a sample of 56 school shooters, 82% of them &#8220;were raised in an unstable family environment or without both biological parents together.&#8221;</p>
<p>Leftist organizations expressed outrage after Lee signed the resolution last week. The LGBT activist organization GLAAD called Tennessee lawmakers who passed the resolution &#8220;clueless.&#8221;</p>
<p>“The strongest families are grounded by love,&#8221; a GLAAD spokesman <a href="https://www.advocate.com/politics/states/tennessee-nuclear-family-month">told</a> the LGBT news outlet The Advocate. &#8220;Lawmakers trying to exclude and intentionally harm some families should be recognized as actively harming all by not focusing their time working for an inclusive Tennessee where all are welcome and can succeed.”</p>
<p>June has been nationally recognized as Pride Month since a declaration signed by former President Bill Clinton in 1999. Following the Supreme Court&#8217;s landmark decision in favor of gay marriage in 2015, LGBT Pride Month became increasingly popular, with numerous American organizations and businesses pushing LGBT themes and messages throughout June.</p>
<p>Last year, however, as many Americans pushed back against the Left&#8217;s constant trumpeting of LGBT talking points and its embrace of transgender procedures for children, some companies dialed back their messaging during Pride Month. The election of President Donald Trump in November 2024 also reflected Americans&#8217; growing frustration with the Democratic Party&#8217;s adoption of LGBT talking points.</p>
<p>Tennessee was among the first states to ban gender procedures on children, prohibit schools from hiding children&#8217;s gender &#8220;transitions&#8221; from parents, and crack down on drag queen performances in public or in settings where children are present.</p>

‘God’s Design’: Red State Swaps Pride Month For ‘Nuclear Family Month’

<p>Nothing says LGBT pride like a &#8220;Pride Match&#8221; featuring two countries that criminalize homosexuality.</p>
<p>Seattle will host a match between Egypt and Iran during the FIFA World Cup on June 26. The match is being designated as the official &#8220;<a href="https://www.seattlefwc26.org/committees/pride-match">Pride Match</a>&#8221; of the global tournament during Seattle&#8217;s Pride weekend. Egypt and Iran were selected over the weekend for the June 26 match at Lumen Field. The &#8220;Pride Match&#8221; isn&#8217;t affiliated or endorsed by FIFA.</p>
<p>That these two countries are the participants in the &#8220;Pride Match&#8221; seems satirical, considering the optics. Many have rightly concluded that you could not pick two worse teams to participate in such a match.</p>
<p>In Egypt, if someone is caught engaging in homosexual activity, it&#8217;s punishable with up to three years in prison, and they may be forced to pay a hefty fine, according to <a href="https://features.hrw.org/features/features/lgbt_laws/index.html?_gl=1*1ghvjda*_ga*MTMxOTE2ODExMy4xNzY1MjI4NjA1*_ga_8G7WH8R2Z8*czE3NjUyMjg2MDUkbzEkZzEkdDE3NjUyMjg2MjIkajQzJGwwJGgxODk0NDg2Mjg2">Human Rights Watch</a>.</p>
<p>In Iran, capital punishment remains the maximum penalty for homosexuality under the law, the organization also <a href="https://features.hrw.org/features/features/lgbt_laws/index.html?_gl=1*1ghvjda*_ga*MTMxOTE2ODExMy4xNzY1MjI4NjA1*_ga_8G7WH8R2Z8*czE3NjUyMjg2MDUkbzEkZzEkdDE3NjUyMjg2MjIkajQzJGwwJGgxODk0NDg2Mjg2">reports</a>.</p>
<p>Qatar, another country that outlaws homosexuality, is also scheduled to play in Seattle for the 2026 World Cup. Qatar hosted the renowned soccer tournament in 2022, where European teams came under fire for Pride-themed armbands. The bands ultimately weren&#8217;t worn during the matches after FIFA threatened to penalize players for wearing the symbolic accessory.</p>

<p>Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson doesn&#8217;t seem too concerned about the participants in the &#8220;Pride Match.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;With matches on Juneteenth and Pride, we get to show the world that in Seattle, everyone is welcome,&#8221; she said.</p>
<p>President Donald Trump criticized the new mayor last month during a World Cup press briefing in the Oval Office, calling Wilson&#8217;s policies more extreme than socialism.</p>
<p>&#8220;If we think there&#8217;s going to be a sign of any trouble, I would ask Gianni [FIFA President Gianni Infantino] to move that to a different city. We have a lot of cities that would love to have it number one, and will do it very safely,&#8221; Trump said.</p>
<p>Host cities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup are all across Canada, the United States, and Mexico. The first match is set for June 11 in Mexico City.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Scavengers are on the move. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Scavengers are people who wish to tear down the society in which they live. They have very little in common with one another other than that simple fact. They simply want to tear down everything. That explains the bizarre agglomeration of radicals from across the political spectrum, who seem to gather together to rally against our civilization.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We saw a lot of that this past weekend. There was a march that took place to end Pride Month in Ireland, including a drag queen with a Palestinian flag.</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">How do you put all that together? There are no openly gay people among Palestinians.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At the Toronto Pride parade, they flew Iranian flags. Remember, Iran is a place that hangs gay people from cranes. And yet there were people running around with flags reading “Freedom for Iran.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">And now there is the Omnicause flag. You remember the “rainbow pride” flag? Then we got the “pride progress flag” which had side arrows coming in and added white, pink, and blue. Then they added black and brown, because, of course, there are trans people who are black and brown. And then you had intersex people who were added as a yellow.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">And now they&#8217;ve added on top of that a heart containing the Palestinian flag, because all the causes are one.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Omnicause has finally come together. And that Omnicause is the Scavenger mentality. It&#8217;s all the people from the Jean-Paul-Sartre-Hatred-Of-Western-Civilization Left to the Queer Pride Left, who have decided that they are going to band together to destroy the civilization that we all share.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You could see that in action a little bit earlier over the weekend during the so-called Glastonbury Festival, when a member of the British rap punk duo Bob Vylan got up and started chanting “Death to the IDF” and suggesting that if you were a white Briton and you wanted your country back, “F***  off. You don&#8217;t get to get your country back.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">All of which brings us to Zohran Mamdani.</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">So for all of those who keep pretending that Mamdani is a normal Democrat who just has some progressive leanings, the hell he is.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">He&#8217;s the Apex Predator of the Intersectional Scavenger Coalition. He is a person who&#8217;s perfectly comfortable talking about spending $65 million in New York City to trans the kids and also talking about “Free, free Palestine” and “Globalize the Intifada” and also how it is deeply important and deeply necessary to seize the means of production.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">He&#8217;s not hiding the ball at all. He is a representative of a Left that has lost touch with reality and is now running specifically and solely in order to denigrate and destroy the civilization in which it lives. That is their goal.</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">None of these pieces fit together unless you understand that they are all directed toward destroying everything, not building anything.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Over the weekend, Mamdani joined NBC’s Kristen Welker. He was asked about the phrase “globalize the intifada,” which he continues to seize upon and use.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Understand that the term “intifada” means a violent uprising. That is how the term was coined. It is a term for a violent uprising, particularly against Israel. “Globalizing the intifada” means that you want an extension of a violent uprising all across the West.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The retconning that you&#8217;re seeing now, where people say “intifada” just means a nice, gentle struggle, is the same con pulled in the early 2000s, when some Westerners said “jihad” only meant internal struggle.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Mamdani was asked why he won’t stop saying “globalize the intifada.” He then cited free speech.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">He can do whatever he wants. It&#8217;s a free country. But the question is not whether he ought to be allowed to say “globalize the intifada” as an American citizen. He is. The question really is: Is it a good or moral thing to say?</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">One of the last refuges of cowards these days is to </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">pretend that your free speech is being violated when you are criticized for saying something bad.</span></i></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Mamdani’s father, a professor at Columbia University, said in 2021, “The resistance this time began in Jerusalem and spread to Gaza, now the West Bank and Palestinian communities beyond. This is not a conflict between Israel and Hamas. We are witnessing something far more meaningful, the birth of the third Intifada against settler colonialism.”</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You can see exactly where Zohran Mamdani came from. He is a merger of pro-jihadi leftism, a sort of cultural Maoism, a communist vision of economics, and an anti-traditional-virtue version of social politics. All of those things are combined together in a witch&#8217;s brew of nastiness, designed against the civilization that has made him now a famous person and made his parents very wealthy, famous left-wingers.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">He&#8217;s embracing Islam, socialism, “free, free Palestine,” and marching in Pride parades in the same way that Ilhan Omar has. You think that Ilhan Omar is very fond of Pride parades or Mamdani — if he really is a religious Muslim in any serious way— is?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">What it really is about in the end, as </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">always</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">, is Scavengers who seek to tear things down.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">That is what they want to do. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In the most colloquial sense, the highly-educated, intelligent Democrats are being cuckolded by Mamdani because they&#8217;re watching their party being stolen from them by Zoran Mamdani and cheering it.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">They&#8217;re sitting there and they&#8217;re watching and cheering it because, God forbid, they should have to stand up against Zoran Mamdani and his vicious agenda for even a smidgen of a moment and lose the support of the hard Left.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It’s all disgusting and repellent.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A spokesperson for the group Heritage of Pride confirmed that about 25% of their corporate sponsors had either pulled out of sponsoring New York City’s Pride parade or reduced contributions, leaving organizers scrambling to replace those funds.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“The vast majority of what we have heard is that folks are treading carefully from an economic perspective,” Kevin Kilbride </span><a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/21/nyregion/nyc-pride-sponsors-trump-tariffs.html"><span style="font-weight: 400;">told</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> The New York Times during an interview published in late May. He asserted that companies are distancing themselves from the Pride movement for political reasons.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“&#8230;Some folks have definitely mentioned the fear of potential blowback from the Trump administration if you are a big corporation and you are publicly supporting D.E.I. initiatives,” Kilbride told the outlet.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Now the event is happening in ten days. A few weeks ago, Heritage of Pride organizers had been focusing on community funded donations after big corporate spenders pulled back. They were facing a shortage of about $750,000.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“That gap we’re trying to fill with a community fundraising campaign. So in the middle of May, we launched a peer-to-peer campaign so folks can start their own fundraiser online, share it with their friends, and then have folks donate to that,” he told NYT.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Kilbride confirmed the organization planned to “lean a little bit more into individual giving and support from the community.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Per NYT, four of the five companies that were Platinum sponsors last year either scaled back contributions or canceled. Those include Garnier, Skyy Vodka, Target, and Mastercard. Pepsi and Nissan are also </span><a href="https://www.axios.com/2025/05/08/pride-month-sponsorship-decline-2025"><span style="font-weight: 400;">not contributing</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> funds this year.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Several other cities have reported similar results, with corporate and individual sponsorships being reduced this year compared to others. This has led to some Pride events in large cities being </span><a href="https://www.ktvb.com/article/news/local/boise-pride-cancels-june-kickoff-event-due-to-low-attendance-despite-strong-online-support-idaho/277-85507887-f32c-4bae-ae4b-366f10d9eda3"><span style="font-weight: 400;">canceled</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This pulling back from Pride has become a trend with major retailers. Target shoppers noticed that the retailer has moved their Pride messaging to the back burner. Social media is buzzing with photos of patriotic apparel displays in Target stores during the month of June. Just two years ago, these same displays would have been decked out in rainbow flag glory.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In 2023, Target was </span><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/target-to-offer-pride-merchandise-in-fewer-stores-after-backlash-against-tuck-friendly-swimsuit-sale-last-year"><span style="font-weight: 400;">blasted</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> for offering “tuck-friendly” female swimsuits, which led to boycotts and sinking sales. After the backlash, Target scaled back its “Pride” displays in June 2024, only offering “Pride” merchandise at a limited number of stores. Now, almost all have been <a href="https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/target-swaps-out-rainbow-flags-stars-stripes-shoppers-notice-shift-during-pride-month">replaced</a> with red, white, and blue.</span></p>

NYC Pride Parade Loses Corporate Sponsors, Begs For Individual Donations

<p>There’s a popular meme that makes the rounds around this time each year.</p>
<p>It shows a dam towering over a tranquil city. Behind the structure lies a burgeoning, rainbow-colored sludge on the verge of breaking through and flooding the inhabitants below. Inscribed on the dam’s face is a date: “May 31st.”</p>
<p>It’s funny because it’s true. Or at least, it used to be.</p>
<p>Rainbow paraphernalia, which was once visible only in a few metropolitan neighborhoods, has been taking over our common and commercial spaces — not to mention our schools — during the month of June for years.</p>
<p>Fortune 500 companies changed their logos (at least <a href="https://www.indy100.com/identities/pride-logo-middle-east-us" target="_blank" rel="noopener">in the West</a>), stores set up expansive Pride displays and sold Pride-branded merchandise, including, infamously, Target’s selection of <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/05/19/targets-tuck-friendly-swimwear-for-kids-sparks-controversy/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">transgender swimsuits for children</a>. City, state, and federal agencies hoisted the rainbow flag next to the American flag, and traditional and social media pumped out images and videos celebrating everything LGBTQ.</p>
<p>But something’s different this year. Many of the businesses and institutions that used to radiate rainbows every June look a lot like they did last month and the month before that. They appear normal, as if their primary purpose were to provide services and sell products, not to advance a political ideology.</p>
<p>To be sure, some progressive enclaves are still festooned with Pride trappings, and there remains dribs and drabs of rainbow propaganda out there elsewhere, but much of it looks half-hearted at best. Pride parades have been <a href="https://www.ktvb.com/article/news/local/boise-pride-cancels-june-kickoff-event-due-to-low-attendance-despite-strong-online-support-idaho/277-85507887-f32c-4bae-ae4b-366f10d9eda3" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cancelled</a> due to low projected attendance, and government buildings that used to fly the rainbow flag have stopped doing so — <a href="https://www.sanluisobispo.com/news/local/article306353226.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">even in California</a>.</p>
<p>What changed? For one, there’s a new president, and he’s busy gutting “trans rights” by <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/trump-sign-executive-order-banning-transgender-athletes-womens/story?id=118468478" target="_blank" rel="noopener">prohibiting men</a> from usurping women’s sports and <a href="https://www.npr.org/2025/01/29/nx-s1-5279092/trump-executive-order-gender-affirming-care" target="_blank" rel="noopener">putting a stop</a> to the poisoning and mutilation of children under the Orwellian misnomer “gender affirming care.”</p>
<p>That’s a mighty blow to the “T” and “Q” in the “LGBTQ” coalition. To be fair, there are elements within the gay community that want nothing to do with the “T’s” and “Q’s.” However, it’s not clear that they can separate amicably or coherently. If the claim is that our sexual desires should have no normative connection to the reality of our physical bodies — which every letter in the rainbow acronym affirms — then embracing “LGB” necessarily opens the door to the “T’s” and Q’s” by relativizing the objective meaning and purpose of the body itself.</p>
<p>So, taking on transgenderism at the political level will necessarily weaken Pride ideology as a whole. And for now, the administration has the upper hand.</p>
<p>Second, corporations have grown skittish of boycotts after Bud Light’s disastrous promotion of the woman-larping man, Dylan Mulvaney. This one’s pretty simple: Bud Light used to be America’s best-selling beer. <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2024/07/18/bud-light-beer-sales-ranking-boycott/74463050007/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">It isn’t anymore</a>.</p>
<p>More broadly, conservative activists like The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh, Christopher Rufo, Robby Starbuck, and others, have clarified the cost-benefit calculus for C-suites by putting a steep price on supporting Pride. It turns out that endorsing a radical fringe group that is big online but small in purchasing power while alienating half the country doesn’t make much fiscal sense.</p>
<p>Third, and relatedly, there’s been a palpable cultural shift as the masses have grown tired of the rainbow brigade’s garish frills, manufactured enthusiasm, coercive fanfare (Celebrate!&#8211;<i>or else</i>), and infantile tautologies (“Love is love”).</p>
<p>Initially startled and disoriented by the explosion of Pride into every nook and cranny of society, many have now had the time to step back and ask, “What, exactly, are we celebrating here?”</p>
<p>Bearded men dressed up like clownishly risque women gyrating in front of toddlers at drag queen story hours? Pornographic books in elementary schools? Boys taking over girls&#8217;sports? Young men and women permanently maiming themselves with genital inversion surgery?</p>
<p>Why in the world, normal people are asking, is any of this laudatory, let alone permissible?</p>
<p>The rainbow flag used to come with the cry, “We just want to be left alone.” The majority found those terms acceptable. There was a truce in the culture wars, at least on that front. But then Pride, consistent with its name, got arrogant and greedy and let its true colors show.</p>
<p>It turns out that all those LGBTQ parades, protests, workplace trainings, and school curricula were never about tolerance, or love, or protecting the vulnerable. Rather, their goal was to gain cultural and political supremacy and to silence anyone who stood in the way.</p>
<p>Aptly represented by its <a href="https://www.hrc.org/resources/lgbtq-pride-flags" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ever-more-chaotic</a> symbol, rainbow ideology is and always has been a twisted kaleidoscope of totalitarian perversion. Thankfully, many are waking up and pushing back.</p>
