<p>Vice President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kamala-harris" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kamala Harris</a> is a &#8220;young politician&#8221; who &#8220;will be back,&#8221; a former aide said on Monday, yet another sign that Harris could try to return to the political spotlight after losing the 2024 presidential contest to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump</a>.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/symone-sanders" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Symone Sanders</a>, who served as a senior adviser and chief spokeswoman to Harris before leaving the Biden administration in late 2021 and <a href="https://deadline.com/2022/01/symone-sanders-joins-msnbc-as-host-on-weekends-streaming-network-1234907220/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">joining MSNBC</a> the following year, made the comment during an <a href="https://grabien.com/story?id=507316" target="_blank" rel="noopener">appearance</a> on the cable network.</p>
<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t think the world has seen the last of Vice President Kamala Harris,&#8221; Sanders said. &#8220;I don&#8217;t know how she will show up again, but she is a young politician who garnered over 75 million votes in this election, and she will be back.&#8221;</p>
<p>POLITICO <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2024/11/25/kamala-harris-advisers-options-open-00191393" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> last month that Harris, who is 60, had been signaling to her confidants that she wants to keep her future political options open, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/kamala-mulls-run-for-california-governor-another-white-house-bid-after-2024-defeat-report" target="_blank" rel="noopener">including</a> for a potential 2026 campaign for governor of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/california" target="_blank" rel="noopener">California</a> or a presidential run in 2028.</p>
<p>Edward-Isaac Dovere, a senior reporter for CNN, later <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-tells-kamala-youre-not-going-anywhere-kid-amid-speculation-about-vps-future" target="_blank" rel="noopener">shared</a> that Harris had been conveying to donors and other supporters, &#8220;You haven&#8217;t seen the last of me. I&#8217;m not going quietly into the night,&#8221; and her advisers were debating what that meant.</p>
<p>Harris&#8217; allies do not want her &#8220;final official act ever to be essentially certifying Donald Trump&#8217;s win,&#8221; Dovere said during an <a href="https://x.com/jacobkschneider/status/1868309712300904903" target="_blank" rel="noopener">appearance</a> on CNN&#8217;s &#8220;Inside Politics,&#8221; adding that they see the California governor&#8217;s race as being a &#8220;layup&#8221; for the vice president.</p>
<p>A number of Democrats have <a href="https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2024-08-09/california-governor-2026-candidates-newsom-atkins-kounalakis-thurmond-villaraigosa-yee" target="_blank" rel="noopener">already begun</a> campaigns for California governor, but polling <a href="https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2024-11-13/poll-california-governor-race-2026" target="_blank" rel="noopener">indicates</a> Harris would have an edge if she ran. And a Puck News/Echelon Insights poll <a href="https://puck.news/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/November-2024-Voter-Omnibus-PUCK-Topline.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">showed</a> Harris being the top pick for the Democrats&#8217; 2028 presidential primary.</p>
<p>Two weeks ago, during a joint appearance at a Democratic National Committee (DNC) holiday reception in Washington, D.C., President Joe Biden <span style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"><a href="https://x.com/jacobkschneider/status/1868438906783556081" target="_blank" rel="noopener">discussed</a></span> choosing Harris as his running mate and hinted at her potential future in politics.</p>
<p>&#8220;She always served this country with purpose and integrity and she always will,&#8221; Biden said. The president then turned back to speak directly to Harris and declared, &#8220;You&#8217;re not going anywhere, kid, because we&#8217;re not going to let you go.&#8221;</p>
<p>Prior to Biden&#8217;s remarks at the same event, Harris <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sc2_4GTgsLU" target="_blank" rel="noopener">used her own speech</a> to reassure fellow Democrats, insisting, &#8220;We are not defeated. Let&#8217;s be clear about that. We are strong.&#8221; She also <a href="https://x.com/archivekamala/status/1868444029001629837" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>: &#8220;I promise you I will be with you every step of the way.&#8221;</p>
