Just one person contacted emergency responders as dozens of onlookers witnessed a mob of mostly black men pummel a man and a woman in downtown Cincinnati last week, according to law enforcement.
Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge <a href="https://x.com/RedWave_Press/status/1949953814234050770">proclaimed</a> her disappointment on Monday after roughly 100 people who stood by and either filmed, jeered, or did nothing to aid the outnumbered victims during the brawl. Video of the street brawl went viral online over the weekend. It is unclear what race or ethnicity the two victims are from the footage.
“For us to have 100 or so people down there, involved in, and/or watching this event, recording with their cell phones, and for us to get only one phone call of this incident is unacceptable in this city,” Theetge said during a press conference. “One person did the right thing and called 911.”
The police chief said that five people have been charged in connection with the brawl, with more arrests expected.
“Anyone who put their hands on another individual during this incident in an attempt to cause harm will face consequences. I don&#8217;t care which side of the incident or the fight they were on. If they placed their hands on somebody in an attempt to cause harm, that is unacceptable,” said Theetge.
Investigators are looking into the role alcohol might have played in the incident, and whether some of the people involved had been overserved at bars or restaurants, according to the police chief.
“It is clear to us that alcohol played a part, a significant part, in this incident,” she said.
The brawl took place late Friday night or early Saturday morning, according to Theetge. Videos of the incident began to rocket around the internet on Sunday. One of the most shared shows a man and woman mobbed by what appears to be mostly black attackers.

After he is picked up again and helped away, a woman appears to try to shield him from further harm when a black man punches her in the face, knocking her unconscious.
Republican Vivek Ramaswamy, who is running to be the next governor of Ohio, posted on X Monday that he had spoken with the female victim, who he said is named Holly.
“It’s unconscionable that there were no police present in that area of Cincinnati on a Friday night, or even an ambulance to take her to the hospital. Hard-working Americans shouldn’t have to worry for their safety when they have a good time in our cities. Holly said not a single local or state official had yet reached out as of earlier this afternoon, other than one police detective,” Ramaswamy <a href="https://x.com/VivekGRamaswamy/status/1949940829516103758">wrote</a>.
“Leftists like to lecture about ‘systemic injustice’ while thugs turn our turn cities into war zones. I’m done with their excuses. As governor, I’ll make sure they’re behind bars, not running wild,” he added.

After a string of successfully brokered ceasefires around the globe, President Trump’s patience with Vladimir Putin over the war in Ukraine appears to be waning. On Monday, Trump announced he was shortening his previous 50-day deadline for Russia to agree to a peace deal.
“I’m gonna make a new deadline of about 10 or 12 days from today,” Trump <a href="https://x.com/HarrisonKrank/status/1949820788082692176">said</a>. “There’s no reason in waiting.” He also took direct shots at the Russian leader, saying, &#8220;I’m not so interested in talking anymore. We have such nice conversations &#8230; and then people die the following night with a missile going into a town.”
If Putin fails to meet the new deadline, the U.S. could increase military aid to NATO or impose crippling 100% tariffs on Russia and secondary tariffs on any country that trades with them. 
In another major foreign policy development, the president broke with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu on the issue of starvation in Gaza. When asked if he agreed with Netanyahu’s claim that there is “no starvation” in Gaza, Trump <a href="https://x.com/HarrisonKrank/status/1949820788082692176">responded</a>, “I don’t know. Based on television, not particularly. Those children look very hungry&#8230;” He added that the U.S. would work with European allies to set up food distribution centers in the region. 
These moves come as a new poll from The Wall Street Journal found that voters trust the GOP over Democrats on foreign policy by an 8-point margin.

The video, captured Saturday during the Cincinnati Music Festival, shows a man being thrown to the ground and beaten by a group of what appear to be mostly black men. A woman who steps in to protect the man is then sucker-punched in the face, falls to the concrete, and appears to lose consciousness. No police were visible during the two-and-a-half-minute clip, a fact the local Fraternal Order of Police president highlighted while condemning witnesses for recording instead of calling 911. 
The video drew immediate condemnation from prominent conservatives. Vice President JD Vance said, &#8220;We have got to make great American cities safe again for families and children.&#8221; The lack of coverage from most national media outlets on Sunday was noted by Elon Musk and others. 
Author Heather Mac Donald told Morning Wire that the media’s relative silence is due to racial dynamics. &#8220;The only black lives they care about are those extremely rare instances where a white police officer has taken the life of a black person,&#8221; she said. Mac Donald argued that the media’s narrative ignores the reality of violent crime, citing a National Academy of Sciences report showing that &#8220;blacks commit violent crime against whites at 35 times the rate at which whites commit violent crime against blacks.&#8221; The DOJ&#8217;s Civil Rights Division, headed by Harmeet Dhillon, stated that &#8220;where race is a motivation, federal law may apply.&#8221;

Vice President JD Vance called Monday for the man caught in a viral video punching a woman in Cincinnati, Ohio, over the weekend to go to jail “for a very long time.”
Vance was referring to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/alarming-video-catches-man-pummeled-woman-cold-cocked-by-cincinnati-street-mob?author=Tim+Pearce&amp;category=undefined&amp;elementPosition=11&amp;row=3&amp;rowHeadline=Latest+News&amp;rowType=Vertical+Carousel&amp;title=Alarming+Video+Catches+Man+Pummeled%2C+Woman+Cold-Cocked+By+Cincinnati+Street+Mob">an incident</a> on the streets of Cincinnati on Saturday night when a man was thrown to the ground and kicked and punched by a mob outside of a music festival. After the beaten man got up, a woman was punched in the face and appeared to be knocked unconscious. Video of the attack quickly circulated online, prompting condemnations from local leaders.
“What I saw, and I haven’t seen the full context, but what I saw a mob of lawless thugs beating up on an innocent person and it&#8217;s disgusting,” Vance <a href="https://x.com/RapidResponse47/status/1949850196143174059">said</a>. “And I hope every single one of those people who engaged in violence is prosecuted to the full extent of the law. And they will be. They will be so long as law enforcement in the state of Ohio take their job seriously.”
The vice president made the comments during a visit to Canton, Ohio, to tout the passage of the Big, Beautiful Bill.
“I don’t know the full context, I don’t know how the fight started,” Vance added. “But the one part that I saw that was really gruesome is you had a grown man who sucker punched a middle-aged woman. Where I come from at least, when you have a grown man who sucker punches a middle-age woman that person ought to go to jail for a very long time — and frankly, he&#8217;s lucky there weren&#8217;t some better people around because they would&#8217;ve handled it themselves. But if they&#8217;re not going to handle it, the cops in Cincinnati, the law enforcement, you’ve got to prosecute people.”
Vance also said that local leaders had allowed “too much lawlessness” on the streets of American cities, saying people were afraid to go downtown in cities like Akron, Canton, and Columbus.
“If you want to take your wife or your children out for a meal, you shouldn’t be worried about street violence,” Vance said. &#8220;The only way to destroy that street violence is to take the thugs who engaged in that violence and throw their asses in prison.&#8221;
Authorities have promised to identify the attackers seen in the videos and bring charges. Law enforcement have not announced the identifies of any of the attackers.
“I am in complete disgust waking up to the viral video many of you have now seen. The behavior displayed is nothing short of cruel and absolutely unacceptable. Our investigative team is working diligently to identify every individual involved in causing harm. It’s also important to clarify: this was a sudden dispute between individuals following a verbal altercation. It was not connected in any way to the Music Fest,” Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge said on Sunday.

The three Lorain, Ohio, police officers who were shot on Wednesday in an <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/three-ohio-police-officers-shot-in-ambush">ambush</a> have been identified, along with the suspect, who was found dead from a gunshot wound.
Two officers, 35-year-old Phillip Wagner and 51-year-old Peter Gale, parked on the side of a dead-end industrial parkway to eat lunch when they were fired upon, Fox 8 <a href="https://fox8.com/news/ne-ohio-police-officers-shot-during-ambush-suspect-dead/">reported</a>. The suspect, 28-year-old Michael Parker, was also sitting in his car on the side of the road, where he was “lying in wait&#8221; with an arsenal of weapons, according to Acting Lorain Police Chief Michael Failing.
Parker is the only suspect believed to be involved in the ambush. Police found “multiple high-powered rifles, handguns, and a substantial quantity of loaded magazines,” along with a “significant quantity of improvised explosive materials” inside and around his vehicle. Police also found &#8220;suspicious items&#8221; after searching his home, where he lived with his parents, according to Fox 8.
After the suspect opened fire on Wagner and Gale with a high-powered rifle, the third officer, 47-year-old Brent Payne, arrived on the scene. Wagner and Payne were hit multiple times in the shootout, while Gale was shot in the hand. More police raced to the scene, where some engaged the suspect and others transported the injured officers to the hospital.
As of Wednesday night, Wagner and Payne remained hospitalized with serious injuries after being life-flighted to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, about 30 miles away. Gale was treated for his injuries at a local hospital.
The police department in the neighboring city of Elyria is investigating the shooting. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene, but it remains unclear if he was killed by return fire from police or a self-inflicted gunshot wound, said Elyria Police Chief James Welsh.
“This incident has deeply impacted all of us in law enforcement. Our hearts are with the officers who were injured, their families, and the entire Lorain Police Department during this incredibly difficult time,&#8221; Welsh said. &#8220;We want to extend our sincere gratitude to all of the agencies that responded swiftly and selflessly during this critical incident. The coordinated efforts of our regional law enforcement partners—including tactical teams, bomb technicians, patrol units, and investigators—were instrumental in ensuring public safety, securing the scene, and advancing this complex investigation. In moments of crisis, it’s the strength of our partnerships that carries us through.”
One of Parker&#8217;s neighbors, Jody Burnsworth, told <a href="https://spectrumnews1.com/oh/columbus/news/2025/07/24/suspect-s-neighbor-shares-experiences">Spectrum News</a> that Parker was &#8220;different&#8221; and there was &#8220;something odd&#8221; about him. Burnsworth added that it was &#8220;absolutely shocking&#8221; to find out that Parker fired on police officers with a high-powered rifle. She said his parents are &#8220;sweet, conventional Christians.&#8221;

New Details Emerge On Ambush Shooting Of 3 Ohio Police Officers

This week, the Sixth Circuit heard <a href="https://www.youtube.com/live/IGQvisFK-WQ">oral argument</a> in a lawsuit that could decide whether foreign nationals — and the partisan groups they bankroll — can continue pouring foreign dark money into state ballot measures. At issue is a law Ohio enacted last year to ban both direct and indirect foreign contributions to these critical campaigns. With other states passing similar bans — eight as of this year — progressive groups are hoping the courts will intervene and keep their foreign cash flowing.
Ohio’s foreign funding ban did not emerge in a vacuum. Over just two years, Ohioans saw a stunning $20 million in foreign-tied funds flood their state. The money came through a group called the Sixteen Thirty Fund, a kingpin of liberal dark money. One of its top donors is a Swiss billionaire named Hansjörg Wyss — a man who <a href="https://www.congress.gov/118/meeting/house/117312/witnesses/HHRG-118-HA00-Wstate-SutherlandC-20240516.pdf">admits</a> he “never felt the need to become an American.”
That hasn’t stopped Wyss from spending vast sums of his foreign fortune to push American politics to the Left. That includes a staggering $280 million to the Sixteen Thirty Fund, which <a href="https://americansforpublictrust.org/reports/sixteen-thirty-fund-cumulative-spending-on-ballot-issue-campaigns/">simultaneously</a> spent $130 million supporting progressive ballot measure campaigns in 26 states on issues such as abortion, taxes, and laws governing American elections.
That is not democracy, it’s foreign influence peddling. Ohio’s law puts a stop to it by preventing foreign billionaires from laundering their funding through groups like the Sixteen Thirty Fund. Predictably, the Left is suing.
The case is being led by none other than Marc Elias, Wyss’s own lawyer and the Democratic Party’s top election attorney. Elias is arguing — explicitly — that foreign nationals should be free to influence American politics. In fact, Elias argues that ballot measures — the process by which we, the people, directly decide fundamental issues and the basic rules of our democracy — must be exposed to foreign interference.
This isn’t the first time Elias has tried to overturn foreign funding laws. When Kansas adopted a ban earlier this year, Elias promptly sued on behalf of Kansans for Constitutional Freedom (KCF), a left-wing group that has already taken $1.6 million from the Sixteen Thirty Fund. KCF demanded that courts allow it to keep funneling foreign-tied money into Kansas.
That lawsuit failed spectacularly. An Obama-appointed federal judge <a href="https://www.cjonline.com/story/news/politics/state/2025/07/03/state-ban-on-foreign-national-contributions-stands-in-kansas/84429491007/">upheld</a> the ban, citing the clear authority states have to protect democratic self-government from foreign intrusions. That ruling relied heavily on an earlier opinion from none other than the Sixth Circuit, which ruled against a previous attempt by Elias to block Ohio’s law. That <a href="https://cases.justia.com/federal/appellate-courts/ca6/24-3768/24-3768-2024-10-08.pdf?ts=1728423016">opinion</a>, written by Judge Amul Thapar, powerfully asserted Ohio’s right to “prevent foreign influence” and bar noncitizens from “activities of democratic self-government.” 
Elias and company seem to have missed the memo. During the argument, an Elias attorney representing Ohio Progressive Asian Women’s Leadership (OPAWL) struggled to define who, exactly, makes up the American “community.” Might it be citizens of the United States? Not according to Elias.
In public, Elias and OPAWL have carefully presented this lawsuit as a narrow case aimed at protecting green card holders. In court, however, they went much further, claiming that states are powerless to prevent U.S.-based groups, such as the Sixteen Thirty Fund, from receiving foreign money from noncitizens and using it to reshape state constitutions. In fact, they argued that the Constitution requires states to allow foreign money even if it pours in by the hundreds of millions, because voters, not campaigns, make the final decision. Judge Raymond M. Kethledge pointed out that the Elias attorney’s argument was “blinding oneself” to reality.
The lawyer for the Ohio Education Association also joined the fray, arguing that compliance with the law would be too burdensome. When questioned, though, he admitted the union routinely segregates funds in other contexts, proving it is possible to comply — the union just does not want to.
The question at the heart of this case is simple: Should foreign billionaires — including those doing the bidding of Russia and China — be free to bankroll campaigns aimed at rewriting state constitutions, the political DNA of our republic?
The answer is clearly no. Non-citizens cannot vote, serve on juries, or fund the campaigns of politicians running for office. To bar foreign nationals from influencing elections but allow them to finance ballot measures that can reshape the rules of those same elections is absurd and undermines the idea of democratic self-government.
That is why eight states this year have passed laws like Ohio’s. States have a duty to protect the integrity of their constitutions from foreign interference, as Ohio has done.
The Sixth Circuit already ruled in favor of Ohio’s law once. It should do so again — decisively.

President Donald Trump is pushing a handful of states to redraw their congressional maps to give more seats to Republicans in the U.S. House.
Trump told reporters on Tuesday that there are five states where Republicans could gain seats through a redrawing of their respective congressional maps. He only named one, however: Texas, where the president said that Republicans could pick up five seats.
“Just a very simple redrawing, we pick up five seats. We have a couple of other states where we’ll pick up seats also,” Trump <a href="https://x.com/Acyn/status/1945175711859531777">told</a> reporters earlier Tuesday.
Later, Trump expanded his state count to five, saying that three states could give Republicans one seat each and a fourth could give Republicans two to three next Congress.
“There&#8217;s about four [states other than Texas]. I&#8217;ll let you figure that one out, but we have about four of them. In three cases it&#8217;s one [seat], and in one case it&#8217;s two or three,” Trump <a href="https://x.com/atrupar/status/1945256269054382390">told</a> reporters. “And Texas would be 5.”
The president said that in a case where California redistricted to create more Democratic-leaning districts, his administration would sue.
“We&#8217;ll fight them. You know, they&#8217;re so corrupt in California,” the president said when asked about California’s potential to redistrict. “You never know what&#8217;s going to happen, but we&#8217;ve done pretty well in the courts in California, as you see. We&#8217;re batting about 1,000, ultimately. We start off a little slow, and then we get a lot of hits.”
Trump and the Department of Justice have reportedly <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2025/07/11/texas-redistricting-00448145?nid=0000018f-3124-de07-a98f-3be4d1400000&amp;nname=politico-toplines&amp;nrid=624a5923-6f85-4cd8-ac2f-b078a41f918d">pushed</a> Texas Governor Greg Abbott to lead redistricting in the Lone Star State to help Republicans maintain control of the House after the 2026 midterm elections. Abbott has instructed the state legislature to redraw the congressional map during a summer session.
Texas currently has 38 House seats. Twenty-five of those are currently held by Republicans. While redistricting could make some Democrat-held seats more favorable to Republicans, it could also make some GOP-held seats more competitive.
One of the other states that the White House is targeting to strengthen Republicans’ hand going into 2026 could be Ohio, which is required by law to redistrict ahead of the coming midterm elections.
National Democratic leaders are <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/07/15/us/politics/texas-redistricting-trump.html">pushing</a> Texas Democrats to stage a walkout to deny the legislature from passing a redistricted map that could create more favorable conditions for the GOP. In order for the Texas House to pass legislation, at least 100 members of the 150-member body must be present. Democrats could thwart Republicans if 51 of their 62-member coalition walked out.

The U.S. Capitol Police said on Friday that authorities arrested the 36-year-old Ohio man accused of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/jewish-congressman-run-off-the-road-by-deranged-man-who-waved-palestinian-flag">threatening</a> Rep. Max Miller (R-OH), who is Jewish, by running him &#8220;off the road&#8221; while waving a Palestinian flag.
Feras S. Hamdan was arrested on charges of aggravated menacing after Rep. Miller revealed on Thursday that &#8220;the life of me and my family was threatened&#8221; in a brush with &#8220;blatant antisemitic violence.&#8221; The suspected antisemitic threat against Miller took place while the congressman was driving with his family in Rocky River, Ohio.
“In less than 24 hours, the USCP received notification of a threat against a Member of Congress, had boots on the ground, collaborated with the local police department, and the suspect in the case was arrested that same evening,&#8221; said Capitol Police Acting Chief Sean Gallagher. “This case is a prime example of the USCP’s stance towards threats against our elected officials. We will continue to have a zero-tolerance policy.”
Miller reported the incident to the Capitol Police and the Rocky River Police Department. He later posted a video on social media, describing what happened, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/jewish-congressman-run-off-the-road-by-deranged-man-who-waved-palestinian-flag">reported</a>.
“Some unhinged, deranged man decided to lay on his horn and run me off the road when he couldn’t get my attention to show me the Palestinian flag, not to mention ‘Death to Israel,’ death to me — that he wanted to kill me — and my family,” he said.

According to the criminal complaint, Hamdan — driving a black Tesla — pulled up next to Miller&#8217;s vehicle while they were on the road and showed him a picture of a Palestinian flag on his phone, Fox 8 <a href="https://fox8.com/news/i-team/i-team-westlake-man-charged-with-threatening-u-s-rep-max-miller-and-his-family-in-rocky-river/">reported</a>. He also yelled &#8220;death to Israel,&#8221; along with other antisemitic slurs, per the criminal complaint.
The Rocky River Police Department said in a <a href="https://www.facebook.com/100064703557583/posts/1158636719636436/?mibextid=wwXIfr&amp;rdid=rZAse8aDk6K0KCUK#">statement</a> on Friday that Hamden had driven away by the time officers responded to Miller&#8217;s 911 call. The police department added that Hamden later &#8220;voluntarily turned himself in &#8230; and is awaiting a court appearance.&#8221;
Miller added in his video: “I will continue to fight against antisemitism, Islamophobia, and all other forms of hate. You have an issue? Take it to our office. You want to run me off the road? That’s a different story. We know who you are, young man, and the police are going to be paying you a visit.”

The Trump administration will study the long-term effects on people of chemicals released after the 2023 train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio.
Vice President JD Vance, who is from Ohio, joined Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and National Institutes of Health Director Jay Battacharya to announce the new initiative in a video posted to social media.
“I&#8217;ve been to East Palestine a number of times, and they&#8217;re very worried about, what are the long-term impacts of these chemicals in the water, in the air? What effect does it have on their kids and grandkids after 5 years, 10 years, 15 years of exposure?” said Vance.
“The crazy thing is, number one, we didn&#8217;t have a good answer to that question. Science had never actually tried to understand what the long-term exposure of these trace chemicals would do to people,” he continued. “And the second crazy thing is that as much as I tried as a United States senator to work with the Biden administration, they refused to do anything to actually study the effects of these long-term exposures on the people of East Palestine.”
After a Norfolk Southern train carrying toxic chemicals derailed and dumped its cargo, residents, officials, and investigators who resided or worked close to the spill <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/half-of-u-s-investigators-fell-ill-while-studying-east-palestine-train-derailment-report">reported</a> having symptoms such as headaches, nausea, and dizziness. A controlled burn of the spill sent plumes of black smoke into the air, causing further concerns of what the smoke could do to nearby residents.
“The National Institutes of Health under my direction has launched a 5-year, $10 million research initiative to address health outcomes stemming from this calamity. This is the first large-scale, coordinated, multi-year federal study focused specifically on the long-term health impacts of the East Palestine disaster,” Kennedy said.
Bhattacharya added: “The purpose and goal of the NIH, the mission is to advance the health and well-being of the American people, and this is a concrete way that we&#8217;re going to do that. The NIH is working to ensure that the people of East Palestine and the surrounding communities are listened to, cared for, and they get the answers they deserve.”

A House Republican said on Thursday that he was &#8220;run off the road&#8221; in Ohio by a &#8220;deranged&#8221; man who displayed a Palestinian flag before leaving the scene.

Miller noted that he filed a police report with the U.S. Capitol Police, as well as the local police department.
&#8220;We know who this person is and he will face justice,&#8221; Miller said. &#8220;As a Marine, a proud Jewish American and a staunch defender of Israel, I will not hide in the face of this blatant antisemitic violence.&#8221;
According to <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/republican-rep-max-miller-says-he-run-off-road-pro-palestinian-protester" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fox News</a>, the Rocky River Police Department confirmed the incident had been reported and said an investigation had been opened.
The Daily Wire reached out to the Capitol Police for comment.
In a video attached to the post, Miller offered more detail about the incident, which he said happened as he was driving to work that morning.

Miller also expressed relief that his daughter or anyone else was not in the vehicle when the confrontation took place.
Some of Miller&#8217;s fellow House lawmakers offered words of support.
&#8220;Unacceptable. Glad my colleague [Miller] is okay. No one should face anti-Semitic threats. This has to stop and it must be called out. I hope the man responsible is brought to justice,&#8221; <a href="https://x.com/hinsonashley/status/1935780935049658827" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-IA).

The Supreme Court ruled in favor of an Ohio woman who claimed to be the victim of so-called reverse discrimination on Thursday, making it easier for people across the country who are members of majority groups to sue for discrimination.
The unanimous ruling <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2025/06/05/workplace-discrimination-supreme-court-decision/?utm_source=chatgpt.com">puts an end</a> to a standard used in 20 states and the District of Columbia that imposed a higher burden of proof on white, male, and straight individuals who claimed to be the victims of discrimination on the basis of those identities.
That standard was applied in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, which includes Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Michigan, as well as in other federal courts.
The ruling was a win for Marlean Ames, a 20-year veteran of the Ohio Department of Youth Services who said that she was denied a promotion and then demoted for being straight, while both the person who received the promotion and took her old job identified as LGBT.
Ames said that she didn’t know she’d be held to a different standard in her attempt to prove her discrimination claim, while her lawyer argued that the application of different standards on the basis of demographic characteristics was in violation of the Civil Rights Act.
“Little did I know at the time that I filed that my burden was going to be harsher than somebody else’s burden to prove my case,” Ames explained in a previous interview. “I want people to try and understand that we’re trying to make this a level playing field for everyone. Not just for a White woman in Ohio.”

The case comes against the backdrop of the national fight over the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) agenda, which corporations and educational institutions adopted en masse in 2020 and the following years.
Many of these DEI policies, The Daily Wire has documented, have resulted in discrimination targeting white, male, and Asian applicants.

Even the Biden administration’s Department of Defense created a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/exclusive-biden-harris-admin-paid-consultants-millions-to-help-military-implement-race-based-hiring-combat-resistance-to-dei">discriminatory job pipeline</a> that offered preferential treatment to women and non-white students seeking employment in the Pentagon. The program had to be amended in the wake of the Supreme Court’s ruling against affirmative action.

The Trump administration has taken action to keep a 24-year-old Venezuelan illegal alien behind bars after he was arrested for posing as a teenager for over a year at an Ohio high school, federal officials told The Daily Wire.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed an immigration detainer on Anthony Emmanuel Labrador Sierra, who was arrested by police on Monday after it was discovered that he had been attending Perrysburg High School for over a year, posing as a 16-year-old. Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told The Daily Wire that it had confirmed that Sierra was a 24-year-old illegal alien from Venezuela, and placed the detainer to make sure he remains behind bars.
&#8220;ICE lodged a detainer to ensure that this criminal illegal alien is removed from this community and no longer able to prey on the students of Perrysburg High School,&#8221; McLaughlin told The Daily Wire. &#8220;It is disturbing that a grown man would impersonate a teenager and surround himself with underage girls and boys and fool them into doing God knows what.”
Sierra was charged on Monday with forgery charges after the Perrysburg School District revealed that Sierra used forged documents to obtain legal guardianship, a Social Security number, an Ohio driver’s license, and Temporary Protected Status from deportation.

Local detective Ryan Merrow, who is investigating the incident, told The Daily Wire that the case is ongoing and that more charges may be coming. He noted that the school told him that Sierra was working with an “advocacy group” to obtain protected legal status in the United States.
Sierra attended the high school from January 2024 until last week after a woman came forward claiming to be the mother of his child and showing documents demonstrating that he was lying about his identity. While at the school, Sierra participated on the school&#8217;s JV soccer and swim teams.
According to his booking information, Sierra is six feet tall and 190 pounds with a Rose Mary tattoo on his left arm and a diamond tattoo on his left arm. His bond was set at $50,000, though now he won&#8217;t be eligible for release due to the ICE detainer.

Ohio state lawmaker Josh Williams, who represents the district containing the school, said he was “deeply troubled” by the news and that the people “need answers” from the school system.
“I seriously doubt the school system’s ability to keep our students safe when it can’t even affirm the immigration status or age of this man,” Williams said. “I will be following up very soon with more detailed questions for the school district.”
