What’s John Kerry Hiding? Memo Shows Biden’s Climate Office Is Keeping ‘Elements We Can’t Put On Paper’ Out Of Emails

What does President Joe Biden’s special climate envoy office led by John Kerry really do as he flies around the globe in gas-guzzling jets?

The world may never know the answer, because a new report suggests that the office’s staffers keep certain items out of emails, opting instead to call their boss when certain details arise.

On Friday, Fox News reported that according to emails obtained by a Freedom of Information Act request by a government watchdog, senior officials in the Special Presidential Envoy For Climate (SPEC) avoided putting certain language in writing.

While discussing the budget for the fiscal year 2022 and 2023, one official whose name was redacted told his colleagues on March 9, “I would also suggest a call or meeting soon with jk to update him on FY22 and 23, focusing on all the elements we can’t put on paper.”

Fox News noted that the subject of the email was titled “updated memo for JK on FY23 budget settlement.”

American taxpayers have long been kept in the dark as to how much money Kerry is making off the government dole.

In March, Boston radio legend Howie Carr announced that Kerry’s office told the Boston Herald — where Carr also writes a column — that the paper would have to submit a FOIA request and could expect to hear back by 2024 to find out how much money Kerry is taking in from government coffers.

According to the Herald, the State Department, which oversees the climate office, felt that the paper’s inquiry did not meet the standards for an expedited response.

The State Department FOIA office told the paper that its request “does not demonstrate a ‘compelling need’ for the requested information. Therefore, this Office denies your request for expedited processing.”

The new report from Fox News shows that even if the Herald did meet a compelling need, certain “elements” might have been kept out of the FOIA thanks to sneaky staffers.

“Looking at the State Department’s response to this request, the American public would be hard-pressed to believe it is part of the most transparent and most ethical administration in history, as the Biden Administration continually claims,” Protect the Public’s Trust Director Michael Chamberlain, who obtained the emails from the climate office, told Fox News.

“When an official says they will have a discussion with John Kerry focusing on ‘all the elements we can’t put on paper,’ what other interpretation could a reasonable person have than that they are attempting to sidestep federal records and transparency laws?” he added. “The actions in this case appear to reveal the administration’s claims of ethics and transparency to be merely lip-service.”

What the public does know is that Kerry loves to lecture the entire globe on the supposed threat of climate change.

In late February, Kerry told the media he was worried about the impact of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s military invasion of Ukraine because it could distract from concern for the environment.

“But it could have a profound negative impact on the climate obviously,” Kerry said about looming war with Russia. “You have a war and obviously you’re going to have massive emissions consequences to the war. But equally important, you’re going to lose people’s focus, you’re going to lose certainly big country attention because they will be diverted and I think it could have a damaging impact.”

For remarks like that, Kerry has earned the praise of the president.

In July, Biden thanked him for the “great job, leading our international Special Presidential Envoy on Climate, traveling the world, and talking with an awful lot of people, and talking them into moving more of they’ve been doing.”

Biden’s comments came a day after it was reported that Kerry’s private jet has flown nearly 50 trips and expelled 715,886 pounds, or 325 metric tons, of carbon since Biden became president.

In 2019, Kerry flew to Iceland on a private jet to accept an award for his activism against climate change. He defended his travel at the time by saying it was the “only choice for somebody like me who is traveling the world to win this battle.”

Maybe keeping “elements” out of emails is also the only choice for somebody like Kerry. It’s a burden his office must bear.
