<p style="text-align: left;">John Kerry, President Joe Biden&#8217;s White House climate czar, flies around the globe in a gas-guzzling jet warning refugees that the worst is yet to come if the world does not stop emitting carbon dioxide into the air. It is unclear how much he is paid or who is on his office&#8217;s staff — which is odd, because the United States taxpayer is footing the bill for his travel and salary. After the Boston Herald <a href="https://www.bostonherald.com/2022/03/11/u-s-senator-slams-john-kerry-for-keeping-climate-office-top-secret/">was told</a> by the government to submit a Freedom of Information Act request to find out that information, Alaska Republican Senator Dan Sullivan is demanding answers.</p>
<p>On Thursday, Boston radio legend Howie Carr interviewed Sullivan on his daily radio show. Carr informed the senator that Kerry&#8217;s office told the Herald — where Carr also writes a column — that they would have to submit a FOIA request and could expect to hear back by 2024 to find out how much money Kerry is taking in from government coffers.</p>
<p>“What? … That should be public. My salary is online,&#8221; Sullivan responded. &#8220;The Secretary of State’s is online, and the president is, too.&#8221;</p>
<p>According to the paper, the State Department, which oversees the mysterious climate office, felt that the paper&#8217;s inquiry <a href="https://www.bostonherald.com/2022/03/11/u-s-senator-slams-john-kerry-for-keeping-climate-office-top-secret/">did not meet the standards</a> for an expedited response:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>The State Department FOIA office — which also covers the climate office — said the Herald’s request “does not demonstrate a ‘compelling need’ for the requested information. Therefore, this Office denies your request for expedited processing.”</em></p></blockquote>
<p>Sullivan also told Carr that Kerry&#8217;s presence on the world stage in light of the war in Ukraine is doing the country a disservice, especially when comparing the immediate threat of war with potential climate disaster:</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><em>“It’s almost getting embarrassing to try to bring a moral equivalent of his job right now to the carnage and brutality and horrendous suffering happening in Ukraine,” Sullivan, a former Marine, added. “I think people cringe when they hear this and it just shows how out of touch” Kerry is.</em></p>

<p>As The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/not-a-joke-john-kerry-is-worried-war-in-ukraine-will-distract-world-leaders-from-climate-change">recently reported</a>, in late February, Kerry told the media that the bigger impact from Russian President Vladimir Putin&#8217;s military invasion of Ukraine could be the effect that it has on the environment, as well as world leaders’ focus on climate change:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>“I thought we lived in a world that had said no to that kind of activity. And I hope diplomacy will win,” he stated.</em></p>
<p><em>Kerry continued, shifting gears to discuss the true threat facing the world today — in his mind anyway — climate change.</em></p>
<p><em>“But it could have a profound negative impact on the climate obviously,” Kerry said about looming war with Russia, <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/john-kerry-russia-ukraine-war-climate-change">per</a> Fox News. “You have a war and obviously you’re going to have massive emissions consequences to the war. But equally important, you’re going to lose people’s focus, you’re going to lose certainly big country attention because they will be diverted and I think it could have a damaging impact.”</em></p></blockquote>
<p>But is seems that when the focus is turned on Kerry and his climate-related expenditures, his office wants the focus off of him and on something else. So, as the Herald put it, “Kerry’s team, and the pay and titles, remain hidden from the public.&#8221;</p>
