Legendary songstress Dolly Parton turned down the Presidential Medal of Freedom three times — from two different presidents.
Parton, who passed away on Tuesday after a brief battle with an unspecified type of cancer, had the award offered to her twice during President Donald Trump&#8217;s first term and a third time during former President Joe Biden&#8217;s administration. All three times, she respectfully declined the honor.
After Biden offered her the award, the country legend explained why she turned down the honor during a 2021 appearance on &#8220;The TODAY Show,&#8221; telling hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager that she&#8217;d ultimately been offered three times.
&#8220;To be honest — in all fairness — I got offered the Freedom Award from the Trump administration,&#8221; Parton revealed. &#8220;I couldn&#8217;t accept it because my husband was ill. Then they asked me again about it, and I wouldn&#8217;t travel because of the COVID.&#8221;
&#8220;So now I feel like if I take it I&#8217;ll be doing politics, so I don&#8217;t — I&#8217;m not sure,&#8221; Parton added. &#8220;I don&#8217;t work for those awards. It&#8217;d be nice, but I&#8217;m not sure that I — you know — that I even deserve it, but it&#8217;s a nice compliment for people to think that I might deserve it.&#8221;
Kotb pushed back, saying she believed &#8220;everybody thinks you might deserve it.&#8221;
Parton always <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/celebrities/2026/08/26/dolly-parton-awards-presidential-medal-of-freedom/91471344007/">eschewed politics</a>, saying that she certainly had her opinions but chose to keep them to herself because she valued both her privacy and her fans.
&#8220;First of all, I have as many Republican fans as I do Democrats. I don&#8217;t want to offend anybody, I have a right to myself,&#8221; she said.
The Presidential Medal of Freedom was not the only honor she turned down. Also in 2021, Tennessee lawmakers were considering a bill to have a statue of her placed on the Capitol grounds — and she reached out to them, asking that the bill be removed from consideration.
&#8220;[I don&#8217;t] think putting me on a pedestal is appropriate at this time,&#8221; Parton said. &#8220;I hope, though, that somewhere down the road several years from now or perhaps after I&#8217;m gone if you still feel I deserve it, then I&#8217;m certain I will stand proud in our great State Capitol as a grateful Tennessean.&#8221;
She also asked to have her name removed from the 2022 list of nominees to the Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame, saying that she had not &#8220;earned&#8221; the right to be added. The organization declined to remove her, however, and she was inducted anyway.
&#8220;I feel honored that all the people that voted for me did,&#8221; Parton told <a href="https://www.billboard.com/music/awards/dolly-parton-rock-roll-hall-fame-interview-1235066988/">Billboard</a> after she was inducted. &#8220;I never meant to cause trouble or stir up any controversy.&#8221;
Trump honored the late singer by having the flags lowered to half-staff for a week following her passing.
&#8220;There has never been anyone like her, and never will,&#8221; Trump said.

Former First Lady Jill Biden is still wondering whether someone could have slipped something into then-President Joe Biden&#8217;s drink ahead of his disastrous 2024 debate with now-President Donald Trump.
Biden sat down with Jamie Kern Lima on her eponymous <a href="https://youtu.be/Vg83Xxndc_k?si=RZrJyR27HDWvstm_">podcast</a>, and the conversation turned to that moment — the moment that even the president&#8217;s staunchest allies and defenders had to admit that something was not right with his cognitive function.
&#8220;Still to this day, you don&#8217;t have a gut instinct on what — what was that moment?&#8221; the host asked.
&#8220;No,&#8221; Biden replied. &#8220;I mean, there&#8217;s all kinds of theories — you know, he had been traveling. I know he was tired, he didn&#8217;t feel well that day when I saw him, but there was nothing definitive that I could point to.&#8221;
&#8220;And I had been on the road for two weeks up until that moment, so I wasn&#8217;t with him. I didn&#8217;t see him days before, weeks before,&#8221; she added. &#8220;I saw him maybe one hour before.&#8221;
&#8220;And there&#8217;s no way anyone could have, God forbid, laced his drink or something —&#8221; Kern Lima suggested.
&#8220;Who knows? Who knows?&#8221; Biden answered.
&#8220;Who knows?&#8221; Kern Lima repeated.
&#8220;Right? Who knows?&#8221; Biden said again.
Kern Lima also asked the former first lady what she might say if embattled former First Son Hunter Biden ever decided to run for office — or even for president.
&#8220;You know, I do have a funny answer for that,&#8221; Biden said, adding, &#8220;I would say, &#8216;Run.&#8217; But then you take that how you want to &#8230; So, you know, Hunter&#8217;s got to find his own path. And whatever he decides to do — I feel that with all our kids &#8230; whatever they decide to do, we will support them. We&#8217;ll support them, 100%.&#8221;
Biden went on to say that she&#8217;d felt the same way about supporting her husband no matter what, claiming that she&#8217;d found it &#8220;daunting&#8221; when he decided to run for president, but her desire to &#8220;support&#8221; him ultimately won out.

A drug dealer let off the hook by President Joe Biden was arrested with a large stash of cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl.
Walter Lee Muhammad, granted clemency in the final months of the Biden presidency, faces drug trafficking charges after police say he was arrested with 25 kilograms of cocaine, seven kilograms of heroin, and four kilograms of fentanyl. Biden cut the Atlanta-based Muhammad’s 10-year prison sentence six years short in December 2024 when he issued clemency to over a thousand drug offenders. 
“Muhammad is a serial drug trafficker who — despite receiving the extraordinary gift of presidential clemency — continued to deal lethal fentanyl and other dangerous drugs,” said U.S. Attorney Theodore Hertzberg. “Thanks to our law enforcement partners, the community is safer with this repeat offender off the street and back behind bars.” 
Muhammad now faces federal and state drug trafficking charges after a lengthy investigation.
DEA agent Michael DeWald said in the complaint against Muhammad that he and other suspected drug traffickers had been under investigation since July 2025. Officials suspect that Muhammad had several Atlanta properties that he used to store and distribute the drugs. 
On August 5, 2026, DEA agents observed multiple bags being shuffled out of a property used by Muhammad. Those bags were transferred to a BMW which left late that evening for North Carolina. The BMW was stopped by the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office, which deployed dogs that detected drugs, according to investigators. 
“The Adidas bag contained MUHAMMAD’s clothing that was wrapped around four kilograms of fentanyl. Deputies found 25 kilograms of cocaine in the cardboard box. Guilford County Sheriff deputies field-tested the seized substances, and both tested positive for cocaine and fentanyl, respectively,” DeWald wrote in the complaint.

The next day, agents searched Muhammad’s property and found more heroin and fentanyl, along with three firearms, including a stolen Glock handgun.

“Despite receiving a second chance, this defendant returned to trafficking fentanyl and putting lives at risk,” said DEA special agent Jae Chung. “The seizure of this significant amount of fentanyl is a reminder that we will continue to hold those who profit from this deadly poison accountable.”
Prior to Biden’s clemency, Muhammad had been convicted for drug trafficking three other times. In August 1999, he was convicted of conspiracy to distribute cocaine. Just over ten years later, in November 2010, he was convicted of conspiring to distribute marijuana, and in February 2020 he was sentenced for intending to traffic fentanyl. 
Biden issued a wave of pardons to drug dealers in his final months in office, claiming he was taking steps to give mercy to people given &#8220;disproportionately long sentences.&#8221; On January 17, 2025, he <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-commutes-sentences-of-another-2500-drug-offenders">commuted</a> the sentences of 2,500 drug offenders, in addition to the nearly 1,500 he granted clemency to in December 2024.
“With this action, I have now issued more individual pardons and commutations than any president in U.S. history,&#8221; Biden boasted at the time.

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden&#8217;s State Department taught diplomats how to discuss &#8220;systemic racism&#8221; and &#8220;white privilege&#8221; in foreign languages, encouraging U.S. diplomats to push other countries to mirror the Biden administration&#8217;s woke ideological stances on race and immigration, The Daily Wire has learned.
The Biden administration&#8217;s efforts included creating a &#8220;DEI Toolkit&#8221; for Foreign Service language instructors that contained trainings on &#8220;Black Lives Matter,&#8221; &#8220;white privilege,&#8221; and &#8220;systemic racism&#8221; in foreign languages, according to materials examined by The Daily Wire.
The Trump State Department is focused on reforming the Foreign Service, encouraging patriotic Americans to join the service, putting an end to leftist trainings pushed by the Biden administration and refocusing on &#8220;American history, diplomatic tradecraft, and the tangible skills that empower the Foreign Service to deliver results for the American people,&#8221; a spokesman shared.
Instead of focusing trainings on Black Lives Matter and DEI, an official shared, new Trump administration Foreign Service trainings include the topics: &#8220;Why Are You Here? Mission and Vision in a Career of Service,&#8221; or &#8220;The Need for Grand Strategy,&#8221; &#8220;Theories of Foreign Policy,&#8221; &#8220;Protecting American Citizens Abroad: Emergencies and Evacuations,&#8221; and &#8220;America Founding Principles: Declaration of Independence, Constitution, Bill of Rights, Federalist Papers.&#8221;
“America’s diplomats are called to advocate for the national interests of the United States on the world stage – not advance extreme anti-American dogmas,&#8221; State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott told The Daily Wire. &#8220;Fringe divisive ideological dogma has no places in Foreign Service training.”
Materials reviewed by The Daily Wire show that under the former president, State Department Foreign Service language instructors were tasked with teaching &#8220;Black Lives Matter&#8221; concepts in Bangla, or Bengali, primarily spoken in South Asia.
That training suggested role-playing a scenario in which a video is presented to a Bengali class discussing white supremacy, racism, and discrimination, as well as &#8220;the linguistic and cultural barriers that make it difficult to broach these topics with the Bangladeshi American community.&#8221; The video referenced the country&#8217;s &#8220;renewed reckoning with systemic racism and its coercive effect on the public institutions.&#8221;

The training&#8217;s vocabulary list included words such as racism, activism, affirmative action, discrimination, equal opportunity, equality, inequality, implicit bias, unconscious bias, systemic racism, white privilege, marginalization, police brutality, and violation of human rights.
Foreign service officers engaged in the training were asked to role play multiple choice questions with their students, discussing recent protests spurred by the death of George Floyd, highlighting the &#8220;importance of addressing racism at the institutional and individual levels,&#8221; to &#8220;control key vocabulary related to DEIC themes in the US in the target language,&#8221; and to use the Bangla language to share personal stories about how racism affects the United States, as well as &#8220;slavery&#8217;s enduring legacy.&#8221;
In one scenario, those taking the class would watch a video on BLM and then react to the following statement: &#8220;Your house is burning in a fire. The fire department comes and everyone tries to save your house. But I live next door and I&#8217;m saying, &#8216;Why aren&#8217;t you checking my house, my house matters also.'&#8221;
Then students would be asked to choose whether this exemplified systemic racism, white privilege, or implicit bias.
Another training focused on Black Lives Matter and systemic racism for those who speak Urdu, spoken primarily in Pakistan but also in parts of India and the Middle East. That section asked students to &#8220;reflect more deeply&#8221; about BLM and to make connections between &#8220;idealized&#8221; U.S. policy positions related to BLM and the &#8220;actual lived experiences of BLM in the US and the host country.&#8221; This group would also heavily focus on the death of George Floyd in the &#8220;target language&#8221; of Urdu.
A Hebrew section on &#8220;Race and Racism&#8221; tasked students with imagining that they are hosting an event at a library in Tel Aviv to discuss race and diversity in the United States and Israel. In this fictional scenario, they invited several colleagues from the Israeli Embassy to discuss current topics such as &#8220;Black Lives Matter&#8221; and immigration as well as a panel of &#8220;diverse Israelis.&#8221;

The Foreign Service officers would also be asked to role play situations involving race and racism. More training materials reviewed by The Daily Wire asked the officers to pretend they are hosting an event in another country while &#8220;the killing of an African American citizen by the police is all over the news.&#8221;
&#8220;While you were not planning to discuss &#8216;Black Lives Matter&#8217; in the U.S. you find yourself in a position to discuss race and diversity in the U.S. and host country,&#8221; the materials state. &#8220;You have invited several colleagues from the Embassy as well.&#8221;
In that role-playing scenario, the Foreign Service officer would be tasked with identifying solutions to racism in the United States and then asking their peers if their home country has similar issues related to minorities and how their government could improve racism in their own country.
The materials given to Biden administration State Department employees also included a vocabulary list instructing the diplomats on how to discuss hot button topics like BLM and immigration. Diplomats were asked not to refer to illegal aliens as &#8220;illegal,&#8221; for example, but instead to refer to them as &#8220;undocumented persons.&#8221;
&#8220;This is a problematic term often used in U.S. political discourse that many find dehumanizing, as it reduces individuals to their immigration status and implies undocumented immigrants are inferior and do not belong,&#8221; reads State Department documents shared with The Daily Wire.
Those documents also define privilege as &#8220;a right, immunity, or benefit enjoyed only by a person beyond the advantages of most,&#8221; and additionally, &#8220;unearned social power accorded by the formal and informal institutions of society to ALL members of a dominant group.&#8221;
&#8220;Privilege is usually invisible to those who have it because we are taught not to see it, but nevertheless it puts them at an advantage over those who do not have it.&#8221;

Former President Joe Biden&#8217;s prostate cancer has progressed beyond the bone metastases disclosed at his 2025 diagnosis and is causing him significant pain, his son Hunter Biden said in an interview Friday.
“The cancer has spread, metastasized into his bones and further,” Hunter Biden said during an interview with <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cy8ey458pv5o">BBC Newsnight</a>. “It’s very painful and it’s very debilitating in many respects.”
Hunter Biden became emotional while discussing his father’s condition, describing it as “really sad to watch” and saying he wished the former president would complain more about what he is experiencing.
Joe Biden, 83, was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/joe-biden-diagnosed-with-aggressive-form-of-prostate-cancer">diagnosed</a> with an aggressive form of prostate cancer in May 2025, several months after leaving the White House, following a medical examination prompted by urinary symptoms. His office said at the time that the cancer had a Gleason score of 9 and had already metastasized to his bones, while describing it as hormone-sensitive and therefore potentially responsive to treatment.
Hunter Biden said his father remains active despite the progression of his illness. “He’s still out there. He’s still doing his thing,” Hunter Biden said. “He so believes in this country.”
“My dad is, to this day, the center of our family,” he added. “He’s the best father, the best husband, the best grandfather.”

Hunter Biden also discussed his father&#8217;s decision to pardon him in the final weeks of his presidency, calling himself &#8220;the most privileged person there is&#8221; and <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cy8ey458pv5o">conceding</a> the pardon was &#8220;not good&#8221; for the American people, the Constitution or his father&#8217;s legacy.
Then-President Biden issued Hunter Biden a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/president-biden-pardons-hunter-claims-son-was-singled-out">full and unconditional pardon</a> in December 2024 covering his federal gun conviction, tax case and federal offenses committed between 2014 and 2024.

A new proposal from Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) seeks to keep gender-confused boys off of girls&#8217; sports teams and out of their locker rooms.  
The <a href="https://www.blackburn.senate.gov/services/files/9DB266B1-2A2D-4FCF-B948-A031AC31AB5C">bill</a> introduced Tuesday by Blackburn and 10 other GOP senators would tie federal funding to whether schools protect girls from discrimination based on biological reality. The bill seeks to codify language into federal law that makes it clear that discrimination protections under Title IX are based on sex and not sexual orientation or so-called gender identity. 
“The Biden administration weaponized Title IX to force women to compete with men in sports and allow men to invade women’s spaces,” Blackburn told The Daily Wire. “Thankfully, President Trump restored common sense in Title IX, and now Congress must codify these protections for women into law to prevent future abuse.”
Blackburn’s proposal, called the “Title IX Clarification Act,” would ensure that discrimination under the provision is based “on the biological reality of sex” and would make federal funding contingent on recognizing that understanding. 
The bill’s introduction comes amid a nationwide controversy fueled by WNBA player Sophie Cunningham’s stance on keeping gender-confused boys out of girls&#8217; sports. 
“I want to protect young girls in a locker room, or young girls in sport who shouldn’t have to go against biological men,” Cunningham said in a recent interview with ESPN, drawing backlash from fellow WNBA players and coaches.
Her comments have angered WNBA fans and even led to pro-trans advocacy from Minnesota Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve, who <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/wnba-coach-protests-sophie-cunningham-with-pro-trans-shirt?author=Drew+Berkemeyer&amp;category=undefined&amp;elementPosition=10&amp;row=3&amp;rowHeadline=Latest+News&amp;rowType=Vertical+Carousel&amp;title=WNBA+Coach+Protests+Sophie+Cunningham+With+Pro-Trans+Shirt">recently</a> wore a “Trans Kids Belong” shirt during a game. 
The Biden administration attempted to <a href="https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2021/03/11/2021-05200/guaranteeing-an-educational-environment-free-from-discrimination-on-the-basis-of-sex-including">expand</a> the traditional understanding of Title IX to include “gender identity” as being protected under the definition of sex. Critics argued that interpretation would force schools from keeping sports teams, bathrooms, and locker rooms separate on the basis of sex. 
Shortly after taking office, President Donald Trump officially <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/initial-rescissions-of-harmful-executive-orders-and-actions/">rescinded</a> Biden’s interpretation of Title IX and <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/defending-women-from-gender-ideology-extremism-and-restoring-biological-truth-to-the-federal-government/">directed</a> federal agencies to protect from sex-based discrimination, not gender identity. The Supreme Court <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/supreme-court-protects-womens-sports-in-landmark-ruling">recently held</a> in a landmark decision that states did not violate Title IX if they had laws in place keeping boys out of girls’ sports. 
“They may determine eligibility for women’s and girls’ sports based on biological sex,” Justice Kavanaugh wrote. “The Constitution and Title IX do not require an overhaul of women’s and girls’ sports throughout America.”
Blackburn said her legislation would bring common sense back to federal discrimination law. 
“The Title IX Clarification Act would ensure that common sense, not leftist ideology, governs federal education funding tied to Title IX requirements to protect young women,” she said. 
Other lawmakers backing the proposal are Senators Katie Britt (R-AL), Jim Justice (R-WV), Ted Budd (R-NC), Jim Risch (R-ID), Mike Crapo (R-ID), Cynthia Lummis (R-WY), Rick Scott (R-FL), Pete Ricketts (R-NE), Steve Daines (R-MT), and Tim Sheehy (R-MT).
A House version of the proposal was introduced in May 2026 by Rep. Jodey Arrington (R-TX) and advanced through the Committee on Education and Workforce. It is backed by conservative groups like the Family Research Council, Alliance Defending Freedom, and the American Principles Project.

President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to the country after tens of thousands of African migrants stormed across the Moroccan border into the Spanish territory of Ceuta on Thursday. 
“It’s terrible. Remember that picture. That’s going to be us in three years if the wrong side gets in,” Trump <a href="https://x.com/JacquiHeinrich/status/2083161441268297975">said</a> during a phone interview with Fox News reporter Jacqui Heinrich on Friday morning. “If the Democrats get in, you will not live a very good life.”
Trump&#8217;s comments came after almost 50,000 migrants rushed across the border into Ceuta, a Spanish territory on the tip of Morocco, bringing widespread chaos and unrest. At least <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/34-dead-after-tens-of-thousands-of-migrants-invade-spain">34 people died</a> as thousands of migrants, mostly young men, attempted to swim or force their way into Ceuta. 
The migrants, emboldened by the lax immigration policies of leftist Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, brought chaos to the streets of Ceuta, causing fear among locals who were overwhelmed by the flood. 
The images were reminiscent of <a href="https://x.com/JennieSTaer/status/1770886341879885952">video</a> captured during the Biden administration of a large mob of young men breaking down razor wire and fencing to storm past Texas National Guard troops stationed in El Paso. Over seven million illegal immigrants from all over the world crossed the United States border during President Joe Biden’s presidency. 
Many other Republicans echoed Trump’s comments in response to the scenes of chaos from Spain.

The Trump administration will pay seven-figures to a Christian father whose home was raided nearly four years ago by heavily armed FBI agents as part of former President Joe Biden’s crackdown on peaceful pro-life protesters. 
The settlement between pro-life advocate Paul Vaughn and the Justice Department is a remarkable reversal after the father of 11 once faced over a decade in prison due to the charges brought by Biden&#8217;s DOJ. The settlement was announced Tuesday by the Thomas More Society, a religious liberty law firm that represented Vaughn throughout his battle with the federal government. 
Vaughn’s Centerville, Tennessee, home was raided by gun-toting FBI agents in October 2022 over his involvement in a March 2021 protest that included praying and hymn singing at a local abortion facility. As several FBI agents corralled his children getting ready for school, other agents took Vaughn into custody in a dramatic show of force. 
“From the very moment that I was handcuffed and put in the back of the car, they showed me on their screen that it was a FACE Act violation, I knew from that moment on that it was political. But I knew something more than that,” Vaughn told The Daily Wire in an interview. “I knew that it was God telling a story, and that it wasn&#8217;t my story, and therefore, the responsibility wasn&#8217;t me. And so I trusted in Him.”
The FACE Act is a Clinton-era law used overwhelmingly against pro-life protesters if they are seen as impeding access to an abortion facility. Under Biden, prosecutors paired it with the hefty conspiracy against civil rights charge that could bring a prison term of more than 10 years. 
Pardoned alongside nearly two dozen other pro-life advocates by President Donald Trump in January 2025, Vaughn sued the government for its heavy-handed prosecution of him. The settlement includes the DOJ admitting it abused its power and concludes the suit.

In one email, Biden official Sanjay Patel wrote that the “unspoken reason” the FBI was going to stage dramatic arrests rather than allow self-surrender was because “the FBI really likes to make arrests.”
Vaughn, who ended up being sentenced to six months of house arrest, said the ordeal strengthened his faith and Christian convictions. 
“The important thing that we have is we have a duty to walk humbly, to love justice, and to seek mercy,” he told The Daily Wire. “Regardless of whether there&#8217;s people trying to write injustices or whether people that are trying to persecute and cause more injustice are Christian responsibilities the same.”
Steve Crampton, a lawyer with the Thomas More Society who defended Vaughn, praised the Trump administration&#8217;s handling of Biden’s pro-life prosecutions. He noted that it would not surprise him if other settlements between pro-lifers and the Justice Department were announced in the coming months. 
He told The Daily Wire that the DOJ under Trump was “genuinely interested in trying to right the wrongs of previous administrations” and “trying to do what they can to restore some respect for the rule of law.”

Pro-abortion organizations provided dossiers to the Biden DOJ with personal information and pictures of pro-life activists who were not yet charged with any crimes, but were later arrested by the FBI.
&#8220;I think there&#8217;s no question that this was a politicized prosecution of Paul and the others,” Crampton added. “This was a vindictive set of prosecutions meant purely to punish and deter pro-lifers from ever going back out again.”
Crampton said that Congress needed to act to repeal the FACE Act. The House Judiciary Committee approved a repeal of the FACE Act last year, but the legislation has stalled out. 
“That is an abhorrent law, it is without constitutional support for its passage in the first place,” he said. “And it is a horrific weapon that can and probably will be used again to cudgel pro-lifers in the future if we don&#8217;t take care of it now.”
While noting that the settlement was a big win, Crampton said the Biden prosecutions reminded Americans of their need to stay vigilant about government overreach. 
“We can never go to sleep,” he said. “If we don&#8217;t watch the ones that are watching us effectively, our federal overseers, then we have no one to blame but ourselves.”

Newly released audio recordings of Joe Biden reveal the former president was aware that material he had stored in his basement was classified, and discussed such materials.
In the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZ-4dWVwWsFI">audio</a>, which was obtained and released by the Oversight Project after a legal battle, Biden told his ghostwriter Mark Zwonitzer in 2017 that he found documents &#8220;downstairs&#8221; and acknowledged multiple times that some of the material may be or is &#8220;<a href="https://static.itsyourgov.org/Biden_Zwonitzer_Interview_Transcripts.pdf">classified</a>.&#8221;
“So this was, I early on, um, in ’09 I just found all the classified stuff downstairs,” Biden tells Zwonitzer in one portion of the audio.
“Some of this may be classified so be careful with it,” he says at another point. “I’m not sure … It’s not marked classified but —”
&#8220;The next thing I have here is, um, this is classified …” Biden also says to Zwonitzer.
Additionally, Biden often sounded uncertain and confused in the audio. In one portion of the conversations, Biden told his ghostwriter, “Alright — what was I going to ask you? Something else … Uh … um. Oh gosh. I can’t think of anything else.”
“Hang on a second,” he says in another conversation. “Um … it’s confusing me.&#8221;
The audio reveals that Biden knew he possessed potentially classified material, even though Special Counsel Robert Hur declined to prosecute him, concluding that a jury would likely view Biden as a &#8220;sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.&#8221;
By contrast, President Donald Trump was aggressively prosecuted and hauled into court for his supposed mishandling of classified docs. That case was dismissed by a judge due to an unconstitutional appointment by Special Counsel Jack Smith and later dropped by the Department of Justice after Trump was elected president in 2024.
The tapes prove that Biden not only lied when he previously claimed that he &#8220;did not share classified information” with his ghostwriter, but also that the White House &#8220;orchestrated a willful coverup of the facts to the American people when they tried to discredit the Hur report in 2024,&#8221; a press release from the Oversight Project said.
“Two and a half years ago, the Oversight Project began a lonely project trying to get access to Biden’s ghostwriter tapes where he disclosed classified information to writer Mark Zwonitzer. To date, Biden has paid zero consequences for betrayal of the country,&#8221; Oversight Project Vice President of Litigation Jeff Clark said in a statement sent to The Daily Wire.
In the audio tapes, Clark said, &#8220;Biden clearly gives away secret after secret to someone not authorized to hold such secrets&#8221; and did all of that for &#8220;personal and family profit to the tune of $8 million.&#8221;
&#8220;Americans want to see accountability,&#8221; Clark added. &#8220;Now you know why Biden’s lawyers fought so hard to keep these tapes and transcripts out of the public’s watchful eye.&#8221;

The Biden White House attempted to thwart the Trump administration&#8217;s mass deportation campaign before it even commenced, a newly-released bombshell memo shows.
Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-Missouri) released the presidential memorandum, dated January 2, 2024,  that senior advisors within the Biden administration produced for then-President Joe Biden advising him &#8220;to expand TPS [Temporary Protected Status] before YOU leave office.&#8221;
&#8220;The memo, which appears to be misdated, is from Biden&#8217;s &#8216;Senior Advisors&#8217; in the waning days of his lame duck presidency. It was the pitch to expand TPS &#8216;before YOU leave office.&#8217; His team was searching for ways to lock in his mass-migration regime before Trump took power,&#8221; Schmitt wrote in an X post Thursday.
&#8220;TPS gives foreign nationals work permits and protection from deportation. A &#8216;redesignation&#8217; expands that shield to newly arrived migrants. Biden’s team was considering making millions more eligible—then leaving President Trump to process the claims,&#8221; the senator said.

The Biden administration advisors pointed to the then-president&#8217;s expansion of temporary protected status to shield from deportation foreign nationals from seven different countries: Afghanistan, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Burma, Lebanon, Ukraine, Venezuela, and Haiti, according to the memo.
By the time Biden was preparing to leave office, the administration was overseeing the protected status of roughly 1.2 million people from 16 different countries, the memo stated. The advisors raised concerns about the expiration of TPS for those individuals come &#8220;2025 or early 2026&#8221; and recommended that two new countries, Ecuador and Guatemala, be added.
The addition of Ecuador and Guatemala would mean more than two million migrants would be shielded from deportation, according to the memo.
&#8220;Stakeholders argue that granting TPS will potentially protect many vulnerable people from President-elect Trump&#8217;s planned mass deportations, including some who live in &#8216;mixed status&#8217; families with U.S. citizens. They argue that those protections are likely to hold in court, and they are prepared to litigate efforts to terminate or slow down the implementation of TPS for specified nations by the Trump Administration,&#8221; the memo read.
&#8220;While it is impossible to predict with certainty the likelihood of success of any future litigation, prior Federal litigation brought by advocates during the first Trump Administration was successful in halting the Trump Administration&#8217;s efforts to terminate TPS, though that was due in large part to the prior Administration&#8217;s failure to produce a factual record in support of termination, which is something that could be rectified,&#8221; it added.
The memo also pointed to growing criticism of Biden&#8217;s expansion of TPS by Republicans arguing the program has become &#8220;a form of amnesty&#8221; that encourages more illegal immigration.
&#8220;Should the Secretary of Homeland Security redesignate Venezuelan nationals for TPS, Republicans are likely to argue that YOU provided amnesty to Tren de Aragua gang members,&#8221; the memo noted.

President Donald Trump may be looking at potential strikes on another growing Islamic terrorist hotbed in the coming weeks — this time in the West African nation of Mali.
The Trump administration has reportedly been considering strikes against Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM), an Al Qaeda-linked militant group operating in the Sahel region that has attacked both local militias and international forces and has endeavored to enforce strict Islamic law throughout its areas of control.
The Washington Post <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2026/07/22/trump-administration-weighs-military-options-mali-officials-say/">reported</a> on Wednesday that the Trump administration is divided on military action — and said that one of those in favor of such is the current National Security Council’s senior director for counterterrorism, Sebastian Gorka.
One official did tell the outlet that, despite that division, the United States had been encouraging other nations in the region &#8220;to purchase U.S. equipment and services to support their war efforts against the terrorists.&#8221;
The entire region has been in a state of upheaval in recent years as a series of Russia-backed coups upended democratically elected governments in Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger — and the three nations have increasingly rejected ties with Western nations, instead joining together as The Alliance of Sahel States.
As The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/they-kicked-america-out-now-theyre-being-hunted-by-jihadists">previously reported</a>, Niger overtly rejected the United States when President Joe Biden&#8217;s administration delivered an ultimatum just as the West African nation was inking a deal to provide Iran with Uranium. The Biden administration demanded that Niger cut ties with Russia and Iran, but the military junta running things at the time was disinclined to acquiesce. Instead, in addition to refusing Biden&#8217;s ultimatum, Niger ousted all remaining American military assets from the country — including a drone base that was used to target terrorists in the region.
Zineb Riboua, a research fellow at the Hudson Institute’s Center for Peace and Security in the Middle East, told The Daily Wire that the Biden administration&#8217;s presentation may have been the crux of the problem: &#8220;Instead of presenting it as an ultimatum, they could have presented an alternative. Instead of doing a uranium deal with Iran, why don’t you do one with the United States, and you get a school program or something in Niger, something they don’t have.&#8221;
But once the United States was gone, it was soon quickly apparent that the Russian security forces with whom they&#8217;d cast their lots were more of a liability than an asset. As previously reported, &#8220;The Russians were killing untold numbers of civilians and still somehow managing to cede ground to the jihadists. In fact, in Burkina Faso and Mali, the Russians and government forces actually killed more civilians last year than the jihadists.&#8221;
The situation has only deteriorated in the years since, leading to the current consideration of possible military action.
&#8220;We urge regional partners and NATO allies to support the Alliance of Sahel States in their war against JNIM and ISIS,&#8221; the Trump administration official told The Washington Post, noting that partnership with Russia had clearly only allowed the terrorist factions to fester and grow. &#8220;We hope that other African nations take note of Russia’s terrible performance in combating terrorism.&#8221;
When asked, Secretary of State Marco Rubio did not say whether he supported military action. Instead, the State Department said that the United States &#8220;unequivocally condemns the terrorist activity in Mali.&#8221;
