After a scheduled follow-up evaluation on Friday, President Donald Trump&#8217;s physician said Trump &#8220;remains in exceptional health&#8221; and is showing &#8220;strong cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological and physical performance.&#8221;
Trump, 79, was at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for about three hours and underwent lab tests and preventive health assessments. Trump&#8217;s doctor, Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella, said in a one-page memo that the president received a yearly flu shot and a COVID booster vaccine.
Barbabella noted that Trump&#8217;s cardiac age is 14 years younger than his actual age, adding that the president &#8220;continues to demonstrate excellent overall health.&#8221;
&#8220;His cardiac age &#8212; a validated measure of cardiovascular vitality via ECG &#8212; was found to be approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age,&#8221; the memo said. &#8220;He continues to maintain a demanding daily schedule without restriction.&#8221;

Back in July, Trump underwent medical testing and received a diagnosis of “chronic venous insufficiency” in his legs, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/white-house-reveals-medical-condition-causing-swelling-in-trumps-legs">The Daily Wire</a> reported.
“I know that many in the media have been speculating about bruising on the president’s hand and also swelling in the president’s legs,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said at the time. “So in the effort of transparency, the president wanted me to share a note from his physician with all of you today.&#8221;

A memo from Barbabella said there was &#8220;mild swelling&#8221; in Trump&#8217;s lower legs and that the president&#8217;s concern was “thoroughly evaluated by the White House medical unit,” out of an “abundance of caution.”
Ultrasounds to assess blood flow in both of his legs found “chronic venous insufficiency,” Leavitt relayed. Barbabella called this a “benign, common condition, particularly in individuals over the age of 70.”

The diagnosis brought well-wishes and prayers from both sides of the political aisle, but it also raised questions &#8212; specifically, when did Biden insiders know about the cancer and how long did they wait to tell the public?

In June, President Donald Trump <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-orders-investigation-into-biden-autopen-scandal">signed a memo</a> ordering an investigation into the matter, specifically calling for Counsel to the President to look into whether aides improperly used an autopen for executive actions in an effort to conceal Biden’s health issues while in office.
The memo directs officials to determine if “certain individuals conspired to deceive the public about Biden’s mental state and unconstitutionally exercise the authorities and responsibilities of the President.”
Additionally, there&#8217;s a House Oversight Committee investigation into the matter.

Topline: As the government shutdown continues, Washington has been rocked by new revelations that the Biden DOJ snooped on several Republican Congress members as part of its January 6 probe.
This week, Senate Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley (R-IA) released a document showing that President Joe Biden’s FBI obtained and analyzed phone metadata of eight sitting Republican senators and one Republican House member.
The move came as part of the DOJ’s previously undisclosed Arctic Frost investigation, which went after Republicans for alleged election meddling following the 2020 election. Grassley released a statement along with that document, where he said, “Based on the evidence to date, Arctic Frost and related weaponization by federal law enforcement under Biden was arguably worse than Watergate.”

The Republican lawmakers targeted by the FBI were Sens. Marsha Blackburn and Bill Hagerty of Tennessee, Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, Tommy Tuberville of Alabama, Dan Sullivan of Alaska, Josh Hawley of Missouri, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, and Rep. Mike Kelly of Pennsylvania.
Democrats’ response: Democrats have sought to downplay the story, saying the FBI was simply doing its job to investigate election meddling — and reminding folks that agents were not listening in on phone calls, and were only looking at who they called, and when. 
That has done little to alleviate Republican outrage. Blackburn excoriated the FBI in an interview with Morning Wire: “It is a violation of our civil rights. It’s a violation of our privacy rights. No one can find a time when … the FBI has done this.”
What Republicans want: Republicans have demanded an investigation to determine the extent of the scheme and who was responsible for it.
Former FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland would have had to approve the operation. Republicans want to know if President Biden was also involved.

Topline: More details are coming out about the early prison release of a Kentucky man convicted in the brutal slaying of a young boy. He has shockingly been deemed a nonviolent offender.
What happened: Ronald Exantus broke into a family’s home and stabbed multiple people with a kitchen knife, including a 6-year-old boy who later died from those injuries. These crimes occurred in Woodford County, Kentucky, located just west of Lexington.
Exantus was tried in 2018 and found not guilty of that murder by reason of insanity. He was convicted for the lesser charge of assault and sentenced to 20 years in prison, but he was released in early October – 13 years early – and placed on just eight months of supervised probation.
Hmmm: According to the parole board, Exantus qualifies as nonviolent under Kentucky state law. The board has faced major criticism over the release, but it says that its members repeatedly voted for Exantus to remain in prison. 
In a statement to The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh, the board said, “Every time it had the opportunity, the Parole Board recommended Ronald Exantus stay in prison.”
After a review for parole on September 30, the board announced that it had issued a decision to keep the criminal in prison for the remainder of his sentence. The board added, “Despite this decision, Kentucky law required the Department of Corrections to release the inmate on Mandatory Reentry Supervision.”
In short, state law required Exantus to be released because he wasn’t convicted of a capital offense related to the killing of Logan Tipton. He was only convicted on lesser charges of second-degree assault for attacking Logan’s sibling and father.
What happens now: Exantus is not quite a free man. He enters a state of parole, which means that he must abide by conditions. Those exact terms are still unknown, but in most cases, if the conditions are broken, the parolee could be sent back to prison.
The case could also come under federal scrutiny, as the White House has weighed in on the issue. On Saturday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt highlighted one of Walsh’s social media posts and said that the administration is looking into the situation. The White House said it is “wholly unacceptable for a child killer to walk free after just several years in prison.”

Topline: America’s most prominent evangelical magazine, Christianity Today, is under fire for <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/evangelical-magazine-christianity-today-takes-over-1-million-from-abortion-funder">accepting</a> financial support from a major abortion funder. Readers also accuse the publication of softening its pro-life stance in recent years.
Since 2022, Christianity Today has received more than one million dollars from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. That includes $600,000 for election coverage.
What makes this controversial is Hewlett’s history. The foundation is the second-largest private funder of Planned Parenthood in the United States. It gave the abortion provider more than $100 million between 2000 and 2023. 
After Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022, Hewlett announced it was increasing its “reproductive equity” budget by 30% – essentially doubling down on supporting abortion access and securing Hewlett’s spot as one of the country’s largest abortion funders.
Influence on CT? Christianity Today has always maintained that it upholds a pro-life ethic. However, since Hewlett’s donations began, the magazine has started publishing articles that advocate for a broader definition of “pro-life.”
Instead of focusing solely on protecting unborn babies, these pieces have argued that the term should also include fighting racial injustice, supporting new federal entitlements like paid family leave, and supporting amnesty for illegal immigrants.
Many pro-life leaders say that redefining the term in this way waters down its meaning. Seth Gruber, founder of the pro-life organization White Rose Resistance, told The Daily Wire that he believes leftists are deliberately working to redefine the term “pro-life” in an effort to advance progressive political priorities under its banner.
Also, in the run-up to the 2024 election, Christianity Today published articles arguing that the issue of abortion was not necessarily a good enough reason to vote and that Christians should consider sitting out. And their board chair took on the role of spokesperson for Evangelicals for Biden.
Step back: Christianity Today has become more reliant on grants and donations over the past five years. In 2020, only about 20 percent of its revenue came from grants. Today, it’s more than half. Over the past few years, it has also received $8 million from the Lilly Endowment, the foundation established by the Eli Lilly family, known for its pharmaceuticals.
Experts warn that when an outlet grows dependent on foundations with their own ideological agendas, it risks aligning with those priorities — even if that means softening its historic Christian commitments.
Part of why the controversy stings is that evangelist Billy Graham founded Christianity Today in 1956 to be a theologically conservative alternative to The Christian Century, which was considered liberal.
Critics have long contended that the outlet has drifted to the left in both tone and substance. The Hewlett Foundation’s funding, particularly the grants marked for “covering elections,” has struck many observers as confirmation of that gradual ideological shift.

Tanden joined a Sunday morning panel discussion on NBC&#8217;s &#8220;Meet the Press&#8221; just 48 hours after texts Jones sent in 2022 — in which he&#8217;d advocated for the murder of then-state House Speaker Todd Gilbert — went viral, and she argued that because the text conversation was supposed to remain private, it should not matter.

Marc Short, who served as chief of staff for former Vice President Mike Pence, was the first to mention Jones — and he did so in the context of the Democrats who&#8217;d been pearl-clutching over memes that featured House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) with a fake mustache and a sombrero.
&#8220;Can we stop with the pearl-clutching about the mean tweets and the sombrero tweets?&#8221; he asked. &#8220;This week it came to light that a Democrat candidate for attorney general in the state of Virginia called for the assassination of a political opponent, called for the assassination of that political opponent&#8217;s family, and there&#8217;s not one national Democrat calling for him to step aside — not one! It&#8217;s disgraceful.&#8221;
Host Kristen Welker flipped the question to Tanden, noting that the story was likely to only get bigger.
&#8220;I mean, I absolutely think people should criticize that, 100%,&#8221; Tanden began. &#8220;I think it was a private conversation he had, but still awful and disgusting &#8230; it should be condemned, but then we should condemn that, but then you should condemn when the president calls the Democratic Party the &#8216;party of satan.'&#8221;

Former President Joe Biden had cue cards reminding him of the names of some top Democrats — some of whom even held key positions in the administration of former President Barack Obama, when Biden himself was serving as vice president.
A new <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/exclusive-unearthed-biden-note-cards-reveal-he-had-bios-photo-reminders-hillary-clinton-schumer">report</a> published by Fox News Digital on Tuesday indicated that the outlet had obtained five “palm cards” — used by politicians to keep details fresh when speaking — that had been unearthed, along with a number of other documents, by investigators digging into the Biden administration’s use of the autopen.
One of the cards, which was stamped with the words “PRESIDENT HAS SEEN,” was labeled “Presidential Medal of Freedom Recipients” and included a list of names, along with their respective photos, and short biographical descriptions. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was shown on that particular card, along with her photo and a note reminding that she had served in that role as part of the Obama-Biden administration.
That same card also included a photo of actor Denzel Washington and a note reminding Biden that he was “one of the greatest actors of the 21st century.”

Another card, also stamped with the phrase “PRESIDENT HAS SEEN,” included a photo of Biden’s longtime Senate colleague and then-Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL) and reminded Biden of Durbin’s home state and leadership role.
Other cards included photos and descriptions of people such as acclaimed director Francis Ford Coppola, Governor JB Pritzker (D-IL), and several members of his family, as well as the name of an ABC journalist, along with a question that she might ask.
While the use of palm cards is a common practice among politicians, especially during campaigning and interacting with hundreds of people daily, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-slammed-for-using-cheat-sheet-while-answering-questions-on-putin-utterly-embarrassing">Biden’s reliance on them</a> and other <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-cheat-sheet-shows-he-knew-what-topic-reporter-would-ask-him-about">reminder notes</a> as president — even in routine press briefings — drew questions on several occasions about his mental acuity.
Members of his administration dismissed those concerns, saying that it was perfectly normal for staffers to remind the president who he would be speaking to or note potential questions he might receive from the press.

Senator Roger Marshall will introduce legislation today that would prevent the federal government from issuing gender-neutral passports.
The Kansas Republican&#8217;s “Passport Sanity Act” mandates that the State Department can only issue passports marked male or female. Currently, Americans with &#8220;gender confusion&#8221; can apply for passports with the gender marked &#8220;X.&#8221; The bill would codify executive actions by President Donald Trump, which require passports be designated male or female.
&#8220;Passports play a critical role in safeguarding our national security by confirming the true identity of individuals leaving and returning to the U.S. — which is why they must reflect factual, biological reality,” Marshall told The Daily Wire. &#8220;Congress should act quickly to enshrine the Passport Sanity Act into law, reinforcing the common-sense approach championed by President Trump and Secretary Rubio.&#8221;
In January, President Trump signed an <a href="https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2025/01/30/2025-02090/defending-women-from-gender-ideology-extremism-and-restoring-biological-truth-to-the-federal" target="_blank" rel="noopener">executive order</a> that stipulated that travel documents, including passports and visas, could only be issued on the basis of sex. Shortly after that order, Secretary of State Marco Rubio froze all passport applications with the gender marker “X.”
“My Administration will defend women&#8217;s rights and protect freedom of conscience by using clear and accurate language and policies that recognize women are biologically female, and men are biologically male,” Trump wrote.
Marshall’s bill would codify that order, stating that the Secretary of State can ensure that a travel document “only includes the gender designation male or female” and blocks the issuance of a travel document with the designation “X.”
Trump’s directive has been blocked by a federal judge and the administration has appealed to the Supreme Court to overturn the ruling.
“The Constitution does not prohibit the government from defining sex in terms of an individual’s biological classification,” said Solicitor General John Sauer.
Under President Joe Biden, the State Department began issuing passports marked “X” to those who rejected their biological sex. It <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-admin-rolls-out-gender-neutral-passports-americans-can-now-identify-as-x" target="_blank" rel="noopener">first allowed</a> X passports in March 2021, with Biden special diplomatic envoy for LGBTQ rights Jessica Stern claiming that “humans do not always fit within a male or female category around the world.”
“The addition of a third gender marker propels the U.S. forward toward ensuring that our administrative systems account for the diversity of gender identity, gender expression and sex characteristics among U.S. citizens,” she said.
The Trump administration has reversed Biden&#8217;s embrace of transgender ideology, removing ideological language from federal documents and cracking down on taxpayer funded hospitals that perform transgender procedures on kids.

Two Middle Eastern men accused of shooting a Texas youth baseball coach during a pregame prayer were handed immigration status by the Biden administration, The Daily Wire has learned.
Three men opened fire on the Ameripark youth baseball field in Katy, Texas, on Sunday from a nearby pasture, shooting the coach in the shoulder, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/wallercountysheriff/posts/pfbid02gy5JP5GCDkxYyDsSW4cBBuQnzE1mpkoE6cM9QSoCCJh5ERQytnvD7DqFjfXZBscgl?rdid=oLONrjJntJtH19n4#" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to the Waller County Sheriff&#8217;s office. The three suspects — Mahmood Abdelsalam Rababah, 23, Ahmad Mawed, 21, and Mustafa Mohammad Matalgah, 27 — have been charged with deadly conduct and are each being held on $100,000 bond.
Mohammad Matalgah of Jordan was given American citizenship on Aug. 1, 2023, despite having prior arrests for drug possession, the Department of Homeland Security told The Daily Wire. Mawed, a Lebanese immigrant, entered the United States on an IR-2 <a href="https://www.uscis.gov/adoption/bringing-your-internationally-adopted-child-to-the-united-states/before-your-child-immigrates-to-the-united-states" target="_blank" rel="noopener">visa</a> — which is given to children of American citizens — on June 3, 2021, automatically granting him a green card.

“This horrific act of terror firing on children praying before the start of a baseball game is pure evil,&#8221; Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement. &#8220;These individuals from high threat countries were let in by Biden. They clearly were not vetting the aliens they were letting legally enter our country and even become U.S. citizens.&#8221;
“Not only did Biden fail the American people by leaving our borders wide open to criminals, but he also legally allowed them to gain status and citizenship to terrorize our communities,&#8221; she said.

The Trump administration has been cracking down on immigrant crime with its mass deportation sweeps across the country. President Donald Trump&#8217;s Department of Justice has also commenced an <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-admin-orders-justice-dept-to-denaturalize-new-citizens-convicted-of-crimes" target="_blank" rel="noopener">audit</a> of the legal immigration system with an effort to denaturalize new citizens who may “pose a potential danger to national security.”

Sunny Hostin admitted on Tuesday that she had known in real time that her question — about what she might have done differently than then-President Joe Biden — could cost then Vice President Kamala Harris the 2024 presidential election.
Harris joined the hosts of ABC&#8217;s &#8220;The View&#8221; for their midday broadcast, where they discussed her upcoming memoir titled &#8220;107 Days&#8221; — which details the short-lived and ill-fated campaign upon which she embarked just hours after Biden announced his plan to withdraw from the race.
Cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin raised the question about the overall mood of the country at the time, asking whether Harris and her team might have missed signs indicating that Americans were desperate for a seismic shift away from Biden — and already viewed her, his vice president, as an extension of his presidency.
&#8220;Understanding that many people saw you as an extension of Joe Biden, were there glaring warning signs that, when there&#8217;s only two options to vote on, that you missed going into election day?&#8221; Griffin asked.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris compared her 2024 presidential election rout to the loss of her mother, saying that she grieved her loss to President Donald Trump in a way she hadn&#8217;t grieved anything since her mother passed away.
Harris joined the cohosts of ABC&#8217;s &#8220;The View&#8221; to talk about the election and her upcoming memoir, titled &#8220;107 Days,&#8221; which details the abbreviated and ill-fated presidential campaign upon which she&#8217;d embarked after former President Joe Biden bowed out of the race.
After the introductions, cohost Sara Haines kicked things off by complaining that everything had seemed to be on the upswing for Democrats once Biden dropped out of the race in late July, nearly one month after his disastrous televised debate against Trump.
&#8220;There seemed to be so much momentum after President Biden stepped aside. There was a renewed sense of hope for Democrats, honestly for everyone. Harris admitted then that she and her husband, former Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, had not talked about election night — because it had been so &#8220;traumatic&#8221; — before she sat down to write about it in her book.
&#8220;That night, I grieved in a way that I have not since my mother died &#8230; And it was — I was — the pain was — it was not at all about losing a race, I knew what it was going to mean for the country. I was going to say for the family, and that&#8217;s how I felt for the country,&#8221; she said arguing that her grief was primarily for the country under President Trump&#8217;s leadership. &#8220;And all I could say over and over again is my God, my God, my God.&#8221;

Google has committed to allowing all creators who were kicked off YouTube — over so-called political speech &#8220;violations&#8221; — the chance to return to the platform. And according to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, &#8220;THAT&#8217;S NOT ALL.&#8221;
The tech giant sent a letter to Jordan and the Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, but the letter also included several statements from YouTube, admitting, among other things, to pressure from the former President Joe Biden&#8217;s administration to censor certain political statements.
Jordan shared screenshots of the letter via X, along with a lengthy thread detailing both the contents of the letter and the Judiciary Committee&#8217;s efforts to expose and put a stop to social media censorship.

He spent a considerable amount of time warning Americans that European authorities were moving to restrict the speech of Americans — even when they were not in Europe — and that European social media regulations were designed to impose a &#8220;disproportionate regulatory burden on American companies.&#8221;
Stating that the Judiciary Committee would continue in those efforts, he added, &#8220;All the above are MASSIVE wins for the American people, the First Amendment, and freedom. We won’t stop fighting to protect free speech.&#8221;

As the Biden administration locked up elderly grandparents and devout Christians over peaceful pro-life protests, it partnered with a radical pro-abortion organization to prosecute pro-lifers, previously unreleased emails show.
President Joe Biden’s Justice Department and FBI partnered with the National Abortion Federation for multiple investigations into pro-life protests and developed an “amazing relationship,” according to <a href="https://functionalgovernment.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/23-00119-F-5.7.2025-Production-Redacted-Final.pdf">emails</a> shared with The Daily Wire by the Functional Government Initiative. The watchdog group told The Daily Wire that the emails show a “disturbing picture of DOJ’s eagerness to meet with pro-abortion lobbyists and activists and punish pro-life Americans” in the aftermath of the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
The revelation of the apparent partnership came in a message sent by National Abortion Federation Security Manager Robert Ledogar on January 9, 2023, to the Justice Department requesting a meeting with Kristen Clarke, then the Justice Department&#8217;s Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights. The National Abortion Federation is the professional association for abortionists. 
In the email, Ledogar wrote that both the Justice Department and the FBI had partnered with the DOJ on multiple Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE) cases. Biden’s crackdown on peaceful pro-life protests landed elderly grandparents, devout Christians, and other pro-life activists in federal prison. 
“Over the past two (2) years that I have been with NAF Security, I have witnessed an amazing relationship with the [National Abortion Federation] Security Director Michelle Davidson and members of the DOJ Civil Rights Division AUSA Sanjay Patel, AUSA Katelyn Smith, AUSA Laura Cowall, and Supervisor AUSA Paige Fitzgerald,” Ledogar wrote. 
Patel headed up the Justice Department’s &#8220;Task Force on Violence Against Reproductive Health Providers,” and  Cowall is the current deputy chief of the Civil Rights Division.

“The past year, NAF Security has been part of several FACE Act investigations, working with [assistant U.S. attorneys] and the FBI in TN, FL, VA, CA, NY, MD, and NC. The guidance from the team in DC has been nothing short of superb,” he added. 
It is unclear which specific FACE Act investigations the National Abortion Federation was involved in, but at least two of the states referenced by Ledogar had major FACE Act prosecutions. 
In Tennessee, six pro-lifers faced over 10 years in prison after they were <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/a-church-meeting-is-now-a-conspiracy-pro-lifers-pray-outside-court-after-conviction-over-peaceful-protest">convicted</a> of violating the FACE Act and conspiring against rights. Three of the two pro-lifers were sentenced to prison over that case, which involved a group of Christians singing and praying inside the hallway of an office building outside an abortion facility. In New York, pro-life mother <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-harris-doj-sending-another-pro-lifer-to-prison-young-mother-hit-with-3-plus-years">Bevelyn Williams</a> and Catholic priest Fidelis Moscinski were sentenced to prison over FACE Act violations. 
“It sounds like NAF and other abortion activists were trying to remove Lady Justice’s blindfold, and Kristen Clarke and Sanjay Patel were allowing it. Action must be taken,” Functional Government Initiative spokesman Roderick Law told The Daily Wire. 
Earlier in the email, Ledogar wrote that the National Abortion Federation attended events like the March for Life, the annual event in Washington, D.C., where tens of thousands gather to urge the nation to protect the unborn, to “identify and witness the extremists that find the need to prevent reproductive health care.”
In response to Ledogar’s email, Clarke asked if the Justice Department&#8217;s Criminal Section had “any concerns” with her meeting with Ledogar. Then-Deputy Chief of the DOJ Civil Rights Division’s criminal section Robert Moossy replied, “CrimeSec has no concerns.” 
The full extent of the partnership between the FBI, DOJ, and National Abortion Federation is not clear from the email. But Law told The Daily Wire that the emails revealed a troubling partnership between pro-abortion activists and the federal government. 
“These emails reveal undue influence of abortion activists on federal law enforcement investigations, and violations of DOJ norms,” he said. “The Biden DOJ Civil Rights Division actions undertaken with outside influence appear to violate the civil rights of the Americans convicted under the FACE Act. “
The Trump Justice Department told The Daily Wire that it had “no comment on the actions of the previous administration.”
“Under the leadership of President Trump and Attorney General Bondi, this Department of Justice no longer weaponizes the use of the FACE Act to unfairly target crisis pregnancy centers, pro-life organizations, and churches,” a department spokesman said. 
Pro-lifers arrested under Biden’s crackdown included defendants like 89-year-old communist concentration camp survivor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ive-paid-the-price-89-year-old-pro-life-activist-speaks-at-sentencing">Eva Edl</a> and 75-year-old Massachusetts grandmother <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/bidens-doj-sends-75-year-old-woman-to-prison-for-2-years-for-violating-face-act">Paula Paulette Harlow</a>. It also featured armed FBI raids of the rural Tennessee home of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/kidnapped-at-gunpoint-pro-life-activist-testifies-about-harrowing-fbi-raid-of-home">Paul Vaughn</a>, a father of 11, and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/pro-life-father-mark-houck-sues-biden-doj-over-arrest-raid-for-millions">Mark Houck</a>, a father of seven. 
During his first week in office, Trump pardoned nearly two dozen peaceful pro-life activists, including several who were serving lengthy prison sentences. Trump called the prosecutions ridiculous. 
The National Abortion Federation responded to the pardons by saying the move was “disturbing and concerning for the safety of abortion providers and their patients.”
The Trump administration also issued <a href="https://www.justice.gov/media/1386461/dl">new guidance</a> to prosecute the FACE Act only in cases of extreme violence or property damage. Historically, the FACE Act has primarily been used to go after pro-life individuals, even though it is technically supposed to protect crisis pregnancy centers as well.

President Donald Trump said Tuesday that the Biden Justice Department had targeted and attempted to shut down Turning Point USA, the conservative youth organization founded by the late Charlie Kirk.
Kirk, a well-known conservative political activist, was killed by a gunman at a Turning Point USA event in Utah last week. Kirk launched Turning Point USA in 2012.
“Why was the wonderful Turning Point under INVESTIGATION by ‘Deranged’ Jack Smith and the Corrupt &amp; Incompetent Biden Administration,” the president asked in a <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/115217256645822887">post</a> on Truth Social on Tuesday night.
Former Attorney General Merrick Garland, who served under former President Joe Biden, appointed Smith in November 2022 to serve as special counsel. Smith took over two Justice Department investigations involving Trump. One focused on Trump’s handling of classified documents, and the other concerned Trump’s role in the January 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.
“They tried to force Charlie, and many other people and movements, out of business. They Weaponized the Justice Department against Sleepy Joe Biden’s Political Opponents, including ME!” Trump added.
Vice President JD Vance echoed the president’s comments during an interview that aired on Fox News on Wednesday evening. Vance said that if the Biden administration had focused more on investigating radical left-wing groups instead of Kirk and his conservative youth organization, Kirk&#8217;s early death may have been prevented.
“We&#8217;re talking about having law enforcement go after the people who engage in and fund literal violence, and they&#8217;re saying somehow that&#8217;s beyond the pale, even though we know Joe Biden&#8217;s FBI was investigating Charlie Kirk,” Vance <a href="https://x.com/RedWave_Press/status/1968479698154831912">told</a> host Jesse Watters. “Maybe they should have been investigating the networks that motivated, inspired, and maybe even funded Charlie Kirk&#8217;s murder. If they had, Charlie Kirk might be alive today.”
White House officials, including the president, have pointed blame at radical left-wing groups for extreme rhetoric that has tacitly or directly encouraged violence against conservatives. On Wednesday evening, the president announced that he is <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-designates-antifa-a-major-terrorist-organization">designating</a> one such group, &#8220;ANTIFA,&#8221; as a terrorist organization.
