Vice President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kamala-harris" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kamala Harris</a> delivered a meandering aside about democracy on Sunday, giving her critics more fodder with which to mock the 2024 Democratic presidential candidate.
Harris spoke during a stop on a multi-city bus tour in the battleground state of Pennsylvania along with her running mate, Minnesota Governor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/tim-walz" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Tim Walz</a>, and their spouses.
&#8220;Our election is about understanding the importance of this beautiful country of ours in terms of what we stand for around the globe as a democracy,&#8221; Harris said.
&#8220;As a democracy,&#8221; she repeated, &#8220;we know there&#8217;s a duality to the nature of democracy. On the one hand, incredible strength when it is intact.&#8221;

Harris went on, &#8220;What it does for its people to protect and defend their rights, their liberty, and their freedom. Incredibly strong and incredibly fragile.&#8221;
Video of Harris speaking about democracy were posted to X along with some not-so-flattering commentary from the presidential candidate&#8217;s detractors.

There have been many other instances in which Harris garnered negative attention for verbally stumbling her way through some off-the-cuff remarks.
Examples include her <a href="https://x.com/womenpostingws/status/1813716631069327666" target="_blank" rel="noopener">often-used</a> &#8220;unburdened by what has been&#8221; and <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bSTqokjNEE" target="_blank" rel="noopener">&#8220;coconut tree&#8221;</a> remarks that led to a meme.
Harris has tried to own the awkward comments with a <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cqqlgq7k374o" target="_blank" rel="noopener">&#8220;brat&#8221; rebranding</a> in which she has sought to embrace her inelegant moments.
The Trump War Room, which is associated with former President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump</a>&#8216;s campaign, highlighted another clip on Sunday of &#8220;Kamala &#8216;Cringe&#8217; Harris.&#8221;
