Bruce Willis’s ex-wife Demi Moore posted a video of her and the family singing to him on his birthday.

The sweet moment comes just weeks after the 68-year-old actor was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) and retired from the entertainment industry.

Moore shared the home video on her Instagram account. In it, Willis’s family, including his wife Emma Heming Willis and his children, belt out “Happy Birthday” while serving a dessert with lit candles.

Willis looks happy during the celebration and responds by smiling and fist-pumping while his family cheers. After the “Die Hard” star blew out his birthday candles, the family said a round of “Hip-hip, hooray!”

“Happy birthday, BW! So glad we could celebrate you today. Love you and love our family. Thank you to everyone for the love and warm wishes — we all feel them,” Moore wrote in the video caption. She and Willis were married from 1987 until 2000. The former action star has been married to Heming Willis since 2009.

Meanwhile, Willis’s current wife shared a serious post in honor of her husband’s birthday on March 19.

“I have started the morning by crying as you can see by my swollen eyes,” she shared on Instagram reels, per CNN, noting how she believes it’s important for fans to see “all sides” of the devastating diagnosis.

“I always get this message where people always tell me, ‘Oh you’re so strong. I don’t know how you do it.’ I’m not given a choice. I wish I was but I’m also raising two kids in this,” she continued, referencing daughters Mabel and Evelyn.

Heming said, “Sometimes in our lives, we have to put our big girl panties on and get to it, and that’s what I’m doing. But I do have times of sadness every day, grief every day and I’m really feeling it today on his birthday.”

Per the Mayo Clinic, frontotemporal dementia is an all-encompassing term for a group of brain disorders that affects the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain. It causes those parts of these lobes to shrink, leading to speech issues, emotional problems, and personality changes.
