<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It wasn’t “toned”; it was terrifying. A natural beauty now in her sixties, she had morphed into the evanescent incarnation of dark diet culture. And the media were all in. Thankfully, many onlookers pushed back. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Daily Wire host </span><a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DYS6kdIlkq1/?img_index=2"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Isabel Brown</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> posted, “This is equally as damaging to women’s health conversations as normalizing morbid obesity is.” </span></p>
<p><a href="https://www.instagram.com/reels/DYQwckfSPdP/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Riley Gaines</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> quipped, “Demi Moore actually looks like she’s on the brink of death … Girls, don’t believe the lie that this is what it looks like to be ‘toned.’” </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“That is neither muscle nor healthy. It is phenomenally sad that she looks in the mirror and sees this as a win,” one </span><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/popculture/comments/1tceaqy/comment/olnr9i2/?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=web3x&amp;utm_name=web3xcss&amp;utm_term=1&amp;utm_content=share_button"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Redditor</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> posted. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As a society, we’re pretty cool about offering others a wide berth to live life in a variety of possible body shapes, delivering grace when it’s needed. But when does empathy become enabling? Is it kind to let an impending train wreck speed straight off the rails, or do we have a moral obligation to pull the emergency brake? </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Moore’s apparent emotional bedrock, Bruce Willis, has been suffering from </span><a href="https://www.today.com/health/disease/bruce-willis-health-rcna99998"><span style="font-weight: 400;">dementia</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> since 2022. No one would argue that she shouldn’t be afforded the room to grieve. But two things can be true at once, and 63-year-old Moore has previously admitted to punishing her body in the name of beauty.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In 2025, Moore described her new “self-care” routine, telling </span><a href="https://people.com/worlds-most-beautiful-demi-moore-cover-story-photos-exclusive-11717760"><span style="font-weight: 400;">People</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, “I have a greater appreciation for all that my body has been through that brought me to now … It doesn’t define my value or who I am.” She admitted to once doing “crazy things like biking from Malibu all the way to Paramount, which is about 26 miles. All because I placed so much value on what my outsides looked like.” In the same breath, she said she was “so much more about my overall health and longevity” now.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It was just a few months after she won </span><a href="https://www.npr.org/2025/01/06/nx-s1-5249981/demi-moore-golden-globes-the-substance"><span style="font-weight: 400;">her first</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> major acting award: a </span><a href="https://pagesix.com/2026/05/12/celebrity-news/demi-moores-toned-arms-take-center-stage-on-cannes-film-festival-2026-red-carpet/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Golden Globe</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> for “The Substance,” which is about a black market anti-aging </span><a href="https://www.flixist.com/review-the-substance/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">drug</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. As part of her acceptance speech, she recalled, “In those moments when we don’t think we’re smart enough or pretty enough or skinny enough or successful enough … I had a woman say to me, ‘Just know you will never be enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick.’”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Maybe Moore allegedly ditched the measuring stick, but it seems she doesn’t live up to her own beauty standard. Still, it’s not unreasonable to redirect the focus to medical professionals who continue to prescribe weight-loss drugs to vulnerable A-listers who are starving themselves and then convince fans to follow suit.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">On the jury to select the Cannes festival’s Palme d’Or, Moore first made a red carpet splash in a sequined and sculpted Jacquemus gown, followed by a fuchsia look by French cult favorite Matières Fécales (yep, that’s “fecal matter” in French, for anyone who’s been following along since the </span><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/fake-urine-famesick-celebs-and-100k-tickets-inside-the-grotesque-hypocrisy-of-the-met-gala"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Met Gala</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">). Why </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">wouldn’t </span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">you take it? Be a good person!</span></p>

We’ve walked way over the line on whether we should or shouldn’t talk about women’s bodies, and maybe it’s time we get honest about what’s healthy. </span></p>

<p>&#8220;They talked to me about &#8216;Ghost&#8217; early on. I said, &#8216;It&#8217;ll never work.&#8217; I said, &#8216;Whoopi&#8217;s great, but it&#8217;ll never work.&#8217; And then it was great and huge, and I&#8217;m a f***ing idiot,'&#8221; Fox continued.</p>
<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s still time!&#8221; Goldberg replied, promising that the two would &#8220;find something&#8221; to work on together.</p>
<p>Fox recently made headlines with the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/im-not-gonna-be-80-michael-j-fox-gives-heartbreaking-health-update" target="_blank" rel="noopener">heartbreaking prediction</a> that he would not live to see 80 years old.</p>
<p>&#8220;I’m not gonna be 80,” Fox, 61, told veteran journalist Jane Pauley during a recent interview. He went on to explain that while he felt as though he had done a lot with the time he had been given, there would eventually come a day when his Parkinson&#8217;s Disease called the shots.</p>
<p>&#8220;Yeah, it’s, it’s banging on the door. I’m not gonna lie. It’s gettin’ hard, it’s gettin’ harder. It’s gettin’ tougher. Every day it’s tougher,&#8221; he said.</p>
<p>Fox, who was diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson&#8217;s Disease when he was just 29 years old, continued to work for a number of years until his symptoms made that impossible. In recent years, he said that it&#8217;s the unsteadiness that has proved the most dangerous, making him more likely to fall and hurt himself.</p>
<p>&#8220;You don’t die from Parkinson’s. You die with Parkinson’s,&#8221; he explained.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Moore shared the home video on her Instagram account. In it, Willis’s family, including his wife Emma Heming Willis and his children, belt out &#8220;Happy Birthday&#8221; while serving a dessert with lit candles. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Willis looks happy during the celebration and responds by smiling and fist-pumping while his family cheers. After the “Die Hard” star blew out his birthday candles, the family said a round of &#8220;Hip-hip, hooray!&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Happy birthday, BW! So glad we could celebrate you today. Love you and love our family. Thank you to everyone for the love and warm wishes — we all feel them,” Moore wrote in the video caption. She and Willis were married from 1987 until 2000. The former action star has been married to Heming Willis since 2009. </span></p>

<p>Hemming posted a message on her Instagram Story on Wednesday responding to a <a href="https://okmagazine.com/p/demi-moore-moved-in-ex-bruce-willis-wife-help-care-dementia-diagnosis/">headline</a> that read, &#8220;Demi Moore &#8216;Moved In&#8217; With Ex Bruce Willis &amp; His Wife To Help Care For Him After Heartbreaking Dementia Diagnosis: Source.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Let&#8217;s nip this one in the bud,&#8221; Hemming wrote. &#8220;This is so dumb. Please stop.&#8221;</p>
<p>The post came a day after she responded to other claims that she was using her husband&#8217;s frontotemporal dementia [FTD] diagnosis for her &#8220;five minutes&#8221; of fame.</p>
<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m always going to advocate for my husband and raise awareness around FTD and for caregivers who are unsung heroes out there,&#8221; she said in an <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/Cpf2KBOOVc7/">Instagram</a> video.</p>

<p>In February, Willis&#8217; family shared a joint statement that the 67-year-old actor had been officially diagnosed with the disease following a report a year earlier that he was diagnosed with aphasia.</p>

While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.&#8221;</p>
