Britney Spears definitely got everyone’s attention when she opened up about seeing her mom Lynne Spears for the first time in 3 years in what the singer called an attempt to make things right between the two.
The 41-year-old singer shared a throwback snap on Thursday on her Instagram of her younger self dressed as a ballerina. In the post, she wrote that the two visited over coffee following their contentious relationship during her conservatorship battle, which was finally terminated in 2021.
“My sweet mama showed up at my door step yesterday after 3 years … it’s been such a long time … with family there’s always things that need to be worked out … but time heals all wounds!” Spears captioned her post.
“And after being able to communicate what I’ve held in for an extremely long time, I feel so blessed we were able to try to make things RIGHT!” she added. “I love you so much!”

“P.S. I’m so blessed we can have coffee together after 14 years!” Spears continued. “Let’s go shopping afterwards!”
In numerous media posts before and after the end of her conservatorship held by her father Jamie Spears, Spears slammed her mom and other family members for ruining her life, People magazine noted. Many have since been deleted.
“P.S. my dad may have started the conservatorship 13 years ago … but what people don’t know is that my mom is the one who gave him the idea!” Britney wrote. “I will never get those years back. She secretly ruined my life,” she added.
“So take your whole ‘I have NO IDEA what’s going on’ attitude and go f*** yourself!” Spears continued. “You know exactly what you did.”

The singer tied the knot in 2022 with model/fitness trainer Sam Asghari and didn’t invite her mom, father or sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, the outlet noted.
In December, the “Womanizer” hitmaker appeared to extend an olive branch to her mom when she wrote a post on social media that read, “… After no coffee for 15 years … Mom we can go have coffee together now! I’m treated as an equal … let’s have coffee and talk about it,” the report noted.
In November 2021, a judge ruled to terminate the conservatorship Spears had been under since 2008.
