Megyn Kelly hit back at actress Charlize Theron, an LGBTQ-themed online news outlet, and others after Theron recently threatened to “f*** anybody up” who opposes drag queens.
During Sirius XM’s “The Megyn Kelly Show” podcast on Friday, the host discussed Theron’s appearance on the “Drag Isn’t Dangerous” telethon. Kelly said she doesn’t know the Hollywood star but admitted she feels a “weird connection with this person” because Theron played Kelly in a movie. In 2019, Theron starred in “Bombshell,” a film about female Fox employees who took on network executive Roger Ailes and accused him of fostering a toxic work environment.
“Okay, so why doesn’t Charlize Theron come and f*** me up?” Kelly said. “Because I’m 100% against her on this. Yes, there are fun drag queen shows. I’ve been to them … It was all adults. But there are drag queen shows out there right now that are deeply disturbing and they’re happening in front of young children. So know what you’re supporting.”
On Monday’s podcast, the former Fox News host hit back at critics, including a news outlet called LGBTQ Nation that accused Kelly of making “false claims” about drag shows.
“If you don’t understand, Charlize [Theron], and LGBTQ Nation, and whoever else came after me for the Friday comments, which I’m fine with – but if you don’t understand that there actually is a problem, and if you’re not equally outraged about it, then you are part of the problem.”
“You’re setting the stage for further grooming and exploitation of children,” she added. “And the Charlize Theron thing is so disturbing because guess who the pedophiles mostly go after? There are millions of them in the United States … And the problem for somebody like Charlize Theron with all of her privilege to come out and say, ‘I will f*** you up if you oppose drag queens,’ is that she could not come from a more privileged position.”

Kelly said Theron is rich, famous, and beautiful, with a “staff that looks like Downton Abbey.”
“Guess who the pedophiles go after first?” the podcast host said. “The kids from broken homes, the poor kids, the kids who have a parent who’s addicted to drugs, or alcohol, the kids who wind up in the system are having committed a juvenile defense, the kids who don’t have a rich and famous mother out there saying, ‘Slay queen!'”

“She can lay the groundwork all she wants for drag queen performances everywhere,” Kelly added. “She’s not going to have to pick up the mess. She’s not going to have to deal with the children who get hurt as a result of us pretending this isn’t happening, and it’s all fine, it’s all just well and good. It’s not.”
“It’s dangerous,” Kelly continued. “That’s the truth. I stand by every word I said, I would like the word spread wide – far and wide – so more people like Charlize Theron and LGBTQ Nation can educate themselves. That consensual entertainment between adults is one thing. And the sexualization and grooming, indeed it is grooming of young children is another.”
