<p>The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) released new footage from its interrogations of terrorists and residents from inside Gaza this week that backed up the IDF&#8217;s reports that hospitals throughout Gaza were used as command centers for Hamas and other Islamic terrorist organizations.</p>
<p>The activity was mentioned in interviews conducted by the IDF&#8217;s secretive Intelligence Unit 504, which <a href="https://www.jpost.com/israel-news/defense-news/article-774260">confirmed</a> this week its involvement in gathering intelligence from inside Gaza.</p>
<p>&#8220;So far, we have apprehended over 300 terrorists from the terrorist organizations during the ground operation who were brought into Israeli territory for further interrogations,&#8221; said a senior official in the 504 Unit: &#8220;The information that emerges from the interrogations of the terrorists is very valuable, leading to elimination of operatives and the preservation of the security of our forces.&#8221;</p>
<p>The IDF released a video of one of the terrorists it captured who said he was at the Shifa Hospital.</p>
<p>&#8220;I was in the Shifa Hospital. There were about 50,000 people who sought refuge. I was there, inside the hospital and I know the doctors there,&#8221; he said. &#8220;The doctors were furious because Hamas operatives and operatives of other terrorist organizations were inside the hospital.&#8221;</p>
<p>The terrorist estimated that he saw up to as many as 100 other terrorists inside the hospital. He said that the terrorists were located &#8220;in the heart of the Shifa Hospital.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;They [Hamas operatives] dressed as nursing staff but they were not nurses or doctors,&#8221; he added. &#8220;Hamas operatives dressed as medical staff in order to blend in within the hospital wards, even in the ICU.&#8221;</p>

<p>Israel released another interrogation video of a Gazan resident, Hamuda Riad Asad Shamalah, who was an &#8220;internet application engineer at the [Hamas-run] Ministry of Health in Gaza.&#8221;</p>
<p>Shamalah said that he and his family stayed at the Palestinian Red Crescent complex for approximately three weeks with roughly 40,000 other refugees from the war.</p>
<p>He said that Hamas terrorists &#8220;stayed at the complex&#8221; and that they &#8220;continued to operate&#8221; as terrorists while there.</p>
<p>He said that terrorists hid rockets and other various small arms within mattresses.</p>

<p>Shamalah said that if he were to confront Hamas about what they were doing, they could kill him.</p>
<p>&#8220;The sheer number of people in the place served as a protection for them,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We became their human shields. It&#8217;s obvious that the IDF would not strike a place with 40,000 people in it.&#8221;</p>
<p>He said that Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists also used Shifa Hospital to hide.</p>
<p>&#8220;We went there to find shelter, and then they came and endangered me and my family at this place,&#8221; he added.</p>
