A video of Kate Winslet speaking with a young journalist conducting her first interview is resonating with fans who applaud the Oscar-winning actress for her kindness.

The clip of Winslet sitting down with the reporter to discuss her new film “Avatar: The Way of Water” is being circulated on social media and generating many positive reactions.

“It’s my first time,” the interviewer admits in the clip. The person conducting the interview is Martha, a “Kinderreporterin,” or “child reporter” for the German TV network ZDF. Their interaction was quickly picked up by U.S. outlets as well.

The Titanic star replies, “This is your first time doing it? OK, well, guess what. When we do this interview, it’s going to be the most amazing interview ever. And do you know why? Because we’ve decided that it is going to be.”

“So, we’ve decided right now, me and you, this is going to be a really fantastic interview,” Winslet continues. “And you can ask me anything that you want and you don’t have to be scared, everything is going to be amazing.”

The reporter agrees with a nervous giggle, prompting Winslet to encourage her by saying again, “You got this. OK, let’s do it!”

Fans were immediately receptive to Winslet’s reaction to the young journalist being so nervous.

“Kate Winslet reassuring this young girl that her interview will be amazing is the most precious thing I’ve ever seen,” one popular Twitter reaction says

The 47-year-old British star is known for being candidly down-to-Earth no matter who is interviewing her. In December, she described herself as looking like a “hot mess” while attempting to juggle her busy career and being a mom.

“There are a lot of myths, I think, around perfection and actresses looking perfect all the time and, and how real that is or that isn’t,” she said in part during an interview with BBC’s “Woman’s Hour” podcast. “And I do care about being real and telling stories that are truthful and come from a place of integrity.”

“That’s certainly something that I feel is a shift in this time in my life,” Winslet continued, as The Daily Wire previously reported. “I care passionately about highlighting issues that need to be talked about that perhaps people find hard to talk about. And not shying away from truly looking like a hot mess a lot of the time. I mean, who puts on makeup while they’re doing the school run? I don’t.”

“There’s something kind of fab about going: ‘Oh well, that’s just the way it is, isn’t it?’”
