Photos of Ben Affleck looking miserable at the 65th Grammy Awards alongside his new wife, Jennifer Lopez, have been making the rounds on social media.
Fans are delighted with multiple shots of the 50-year-old actor sitting in the front row with a sour look on his face, which are all reminiscent of a viral meme featuring Affleck looking sad.
Lopez and Affleck did not walk the red carpet together, but they were spotted several times when cameras panned to them in the Grammys audience. One of those instances was during an appearance by Stevie Wonder, Chris Stapleton, and Smokey Robinson. Lopez looked like she was enjoying the show while her husband of six months seemed less than enthused.
“Ben Affleck would rather be anywhere else than front row at the [Grammys] watching Stevie Wonder crush Higher Ground,” one person reacted to the clip.
“[H]owever bad of a day you’re having, I promise you’re not as miserable as Ben Affleck at the Grammys right now,” another Twitter user agreed.

The “Good Will Hunting” actor had previously opened up about one of the original “sad Affleck” memes.
“I got to a place where [the public perception] was so different from who I am that I just stopped reading and stopped caring,” he told The Los Angeles Times last year of how fans saw him.
“But then, as my kids got older and started seeing the internet themselves, that’s the difficult part,” he continued. “Even the ‘Sad Affleck’ meme — that was funny to me. I mean, there’s nobody who hasn’t felt that way at a junket. But then my kids see it and I think, ‘Oh, are they going to think their dad is fundamentally sad or they have to worry about me?’ That’s really tough.”
The father of three made headlines last year when he married Lopez a full 18 years after their first engagement was called off.
“They feel like they are in the same place in life now and relate to each other on another level,” a source said at the time of their relationship, as The Daily Wire previously reported. “Ben feels younger around Jen and like she brings out his best self. He loves that he doesn’t have to try very hard and can just be himself. Jen loves being around Ben no matter what they are doing.”
