<p>President-elect <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump</a> said on Monday the U.S. government &#8220;knows what is happening&#8221; with the reports of mysterious drone sightings above <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/new-jersey" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New Jersey</a> and other states in recent weeks.</p>
<p>A reporter got a chuckle out of Trump with a question about the situation during a press conference in Florida.</p>

<p>&#8220;The government knows what is happening,&#8221; Trump said. &#8220;Look, our military knows where they took off from. If it&#8217;s a garage, they can go right into that garage. They know where it came from and where it went. And for some reason, they don&#8217;t want to comment. And I think they&#8217;d be better off saying what it is.&#8221;</p>
<p>Last week, the Pentagon <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/u-s-congressman-sources-claim-mystery-drones-over-new-jersey-come-from-mothership-sent-by-iran" target="_blank" rel="noopener">insisted</a> that it was not aware of any evidence to suggest the sightings have a foreign link and denied that they were U.S. military drones. Federal authorities also <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/dhs-fbi-release-statement-about-drone-sightings-in-new-jersey" target="_blank" rel="noopener">claimed</a> that imagery showed that most sightings were of manned aircraft operating lawfully.</p>
<p>Still, Trump and many others have <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/let-the-public-know-and-now-trump-speaks-out-on-mystery-drone-sightings" target="_blank" rel="noopener">indicated</a> they do not believe the U.S. government is being completely forthcoming.</p>
<p>&#8220;Mystery Drone sightings all over the Country,&#8221; Trump said in a <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/113647906240301335" target="_blank" rel="noopener">post</a> to Truth Social last week. &#8220;Can this really be happening without our government’s knowledge. I don’t think so! Let the public know, and now. Otherwise, shoot them down!!! DJT.&#8221;</p>

<p>On Monday, Trump declared that President Joe Biden must be aware of what is happening.</p>
<p>&#8220;Our military knows and our president knows. And for some reason, they want to keep people in suspense,&#8221; Trump said. &#8220;I can&#8217;t imagine it&#8217;s the enemy, because if it was the enemy, they&#8217;d blast it out. Even if they were late, they&#8217;d blast it. Something strange is going on. For some reason, they don&#8217;t want to tell the people.&#8221;</p>
<p>Sightings have even been reported in the night skies near military sites, critical infrastructure, and Trump&#8217;s <a href="https://www.inquirer.com/news/new-jersey/drones-new-jersey-trump-bedminster-golf-course-fbi-20241206.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">golf club</a> in Bedminster — something that the president-elect mentioned on Monday.</p>
<p>&#8220;They happen to be over Bedminster. They&#8217;re very close to Bedminster,&#8221; Trump said before quipping, &#8220;I think maybe I won&#8217;t spend the weekend in Bedminster. I&#8217;ve decided to cancel my trip.&#8221;</p>
<p>Trump declined to give a substantive answer when asked if he&#8217;s received an intelligence briefing on the suspected drones.</p>
<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t want to comment on that,&#8221; he said.</p>
