Superstar Chris Pratt sent a message Sunday to all those people who died in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 — who “risked their lives for us and our country.”

The 43-year-old actor marked the 21st anniversary of 9/11 with a photo on Instagram and Facebook showing rows and rows of American flags on a hill as he honored all those who got up that morning answered duty’s call, and never returned home.

“Today we remember those who woke up, kissed their families goodbye, and went to work without realizing they wouldn’t return,” Pratt captioned his post.

“Today we remember those who risked their lives for us and our country,” he added. “Forever in our hearts and in memory.[American Flag emoji] #911.”

Reading through the comments underneath the “Guardians of The Galaxy” star’s post, there are messages from former Navy SEAL and author of “The Terminal List” Jack Carr, film maker John Cohen and many more.

Carr’s comment included a praying hands emoji and an American Flag, while Cohen’s included several heart emojis. There was also a comment from the official account for the Annual fundraiser of the late U.S. Navy SEAL Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy, who was killed in the War on Terrorism in Afghanistan in 2005. The comment from the Murph challenge account included six American flag emojis.

“The Tomorrow War” star often shares messages on his social media account honoring those members of our military who gave the ultimate sacrifice, as The Daily Wire previously reported.

“Today we pay tribute and remember all of the brave men and women who have laid down their lives in service of our nation,” Pratt captioned his Memorial Day post. “I urge you all take a moment today to remember those who fought for us. #MemorialDay.”

During the star-studded red carpet premiere recently held in Los Angeles, Pratt posed for pictures with WWII veterans as he thanked the men in uniform, who he praised as members of the “greatest generation,” as The Daily Wire previously reported.

The superstar actor told reporters he has an “absolute affinity for our Navy SEAL community, for our men and women in uniform and especially for our special operators and all they go through and all they sacrifice.”
