<p>Actor Chris Pratt praised President Trump’s Health and Human Services Secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., urging people not to let their negative feelings about Trump cloud their view of Kennedy.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">He said, “There’s certain things [that Kennedy] oversees that seem to be supported in a bipartisan way, like getting terrible toxic stuff out of our kids’ food.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I think that’s a great thing. If you just do that, that’s amazing. I’d hate to be so mired in hatred for the president that any success from his administration is something I’d be having an allergic reaction to,” Pratt said. “To be like, ‘Oh, well, if they do it, I don’t want it to happen. I’ll put Clorox in my children’s cereal myself!’ It’s like, be reasonable here. There’s certain things that would be a good thing to have. I want them all to be successful.”</span></p>

<p>Film star <span style="font-weight: 400;"><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/chris-pratt" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chris Pratt</a> called on Americans to assist victims of Hurricane Helene however they could, noting that </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">“it’s not government, it’s us” that makes our “country great.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;I think what makes this country great has always been the people in the community,&#8221; the “Guardians of the Galaxy” said in a Thursday post on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/DArjWCpyUZ7/?igsh=MTBlZjE4YzMxOA%3D%3D">Instagram.</a> &#8220;And the people who are willing to step up. It’s not up to other people, it’s up to us.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I’ll be making a donation on the side,” Pratt added. “But to anybody out there watching this, $5 bucks, $10 bucks, anything you can do. And if you can’t that’s okay…just let this be an inspiration to you that you can go out there. You can do something. There’s someone out there who needs help.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“We are the fabric of this society. It’s not government. It’s us,” Pratt continued. “We make this country great. Today, November 5th. and Nov. 6th, no matter what happens, it’s on us to be strong in our country. People showing up and putting boots on the ground.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At least </span><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/hurricane-helene-death-toll-approaches-180-as-hundreds-still-missing"><span style="font-weight: 400;">180 people</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> across Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, Tennessee, and Virginia have already been confirmed dead in the wake of the hurricane, with the death toll expected to rise. Millions were left without power, internet access, and cell phone service.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Pratt&#8217;s comments came in a video in which the actor and former SEAL team member John Gretton &#8220;Jocko&#8221; Willink Jr. spoke to  Green Beret Tim Kennedy about </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">teams “working round the clock” </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">to get aide to those who have lost everything because of the hurricane that hit southeastern states late last week.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In a post on Wednesday on </span><a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/C_yTOVJSN2t/?igsh=MWQ1ZGUxMzBkMA%3D%3D&amp;img_index=3"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Instagram</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, the 45-year-old actor took time out to remember the lives who were taken in the attack and shared several images from the aftermath of the tragedy of that day.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“September 11, 2001,” Pratt wrote along with an American flag emoji. “A day that will forever hold a place in our nation’s history. As I reflect on the tragedy of that fateful day, I grieve for each and every innocent soul that was taken from us.”</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Chris Pratt-led film topped the box office after earning $14 million domestically over the weekend for its second weekend out, bringing its total gross domestically to $51.5 million, the </span><a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/h/charts/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Hollywood Reporter</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> reported.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Coming in second place was the live-action animated movie “IF” from </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">John Krasinski, </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">which scored $10.8 million over the weekend, to make a total of $80.4 million domestically its third weekend out.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Taking over the third spot was the highly promoted </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">George Miller’s &#8220;</span><a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/t/furiosa/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Furiosa</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">: A Mad Max Saga&#8221; — which has struggled since it opened on May 24 — earning just $10.7 million over the weekend to bring its gross total in the states to $49.6 million. The movie cost a whopping $168 million to produce and in its second weekend out, it fell 59 percent in sales.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The film — with stars like Chris Hemsworth and Anya Taylor-Joy — has been a disappointment after ticket sales over the long memorial holiday weekend brought in just </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">$32 million, barely beating out “The Garfield Movie,” which had $31 million over the four-day weekend, as previously </span><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/box-office-on-track-to-have-worst-memorial-day-weekend-since-1995-garfield-and-furiosa-flounder"><span style="font-weight: 400;">reported</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“There’s no way to sugarcoat it, the numbers that are coming out this weekend are nothing to write home about,” Paul Degarabedian, senior media analyst with Comscore, previously told CNN about the disappointing results.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Summer is the most important moviegoing season of the year, accounting on average for nearly 40% of the total domestic annual revenue, so as goes the summer so goes the year,” he added.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Last summer was dominated by “Barbenheimer” mania, with the release of the comedy “Barbie” and Christopher Nolan’s historical drama “Oppenheimer” on the same weekend in late July. Combined, the films raked in close to $1 billion domestically. This summer so far doesn’t have any standout contenders that could bring similar results. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The analysts are still blaming post-pandemic viewing habits for the low ticket sales but insist that there’s still potential for studios to make money this summer. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Moviegoing habits have changed drastically since the pandemic, but we continue to see significant enthusiasm when it comes to the theatrical experience,” Daniel Loria, editorial director at Box Office Pro, told CNN. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Tony McFarr, 47, </span><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/death"><span style="font-weight: 400;">died</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> of undetermined causes on May 13 at his home outside Orlando, per </span><a href="https://deadline.com/2024/05/tony-mcfarr-dead-1235919447/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Deadline</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. The story was originally reported by TMZ and then confirmed on the website of the Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home in Merritt Island, Florida. McFarr’s mother said his death was unexpected, the outlet noted.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Pratt reacted to McFarr’s death on his Instagram Stories. The 44-year-old star said he was “devastated to hear about the loss of my friend and former stunt double.&#8221; </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;We did several movies together. We golfed, drank whiskey, smoked cigars, and spent endless hours on set. I’ll never forget his toughness,&#8221; the actor shared.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">McFarr started working as a stunt double in 2011. His credits include “Rock of Ages,” “Teen Wolf,” “The Glades,” “Burn Notice,” and “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">He also worked closely with Pratt, and fans noted the extraordinary physical resemblance between the two. McFarr was the stunt double for Pratt on “Jurassic World,” “Passengers,” “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” and the 2018 “Jurassic World” sequel, “Fallen Kingdom.” </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Pratt and McFarr were friends for years. The Marvel actor posted photos with his stunt double on several occasions, including after filming “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” in 2016.</span></p>

The Los Angeles Conservancy, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving historic places in the city, described the house as &#8220;a noteworthy example of Modernist design from this era.&#8221; </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Conservancy noted that though the house was determined to be “potentially historic” by the SurveyLA program, it was never formally classified as such and was therefore eligible for demolition at the owner’s discretion.</span></p>

The outlet noted that it was reportedly sold off-market for $12.5 million in 2023 and was torn down “shortly after.” It was once featured in Progressive Architecture magazine.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As with most architecture, it comes down to location, location, location. The house is situated down the street from two homes owned by Maria Shriver, Schwarzenegger’s mother, in </span><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/california"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Brentwood</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A TikTok video tour of the home posted by the account @vintageonq, which was taken during an estate sale, has gone viral as this news hit the headlines.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The TikTok goes through a list of the past occupants. The social media user noted that the property most recently belonged to Sam and Hilda Rolfe, who bought the home in 1975 for $205,000. Sam Rolfe is known for creating the TV series “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.” He died in 1993, but Hilda lived in the house until her death in 2022.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Critics aren’t just upset that Pratt and Schwarzenegger tore down the home. They’re also furious that the couple allegedly enlisted architect Ken Ungar for the new build, a pro who’s known for designing modern farmhouse mansions.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Eichler Network, an outlet documenting mid-century homes in California, published an </span><a href="https://www.eichlernetwork.com/article/mourning-ellwood-original"><span style="font-weight: 400;">op-ed</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> about the event including photos of the lot where the house once stood. The writer expressed &#8220;shock” and “disbelief at the pile of rubble&#8221; upon viewing the aftermath.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;Witnessing the demolition of revered residential architecture is a gut punch. Even walking the inclined driveway leading to the empty lot where such a home once stood can be painful,&#8221; the article said.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Special place in hell for people who do this, go buy a readily made McMansion instead you dumb b****!!!,&#8221; one person </span><a href="https://twitter.com/PastaVersaucy/status/1779327830876426656"><span style="font-weight: 400;">wrote</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> on X, adding in a follow-up, &#8220;Tearing this down, for what?? Floor to ceiling black and white marble with no soul?&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Reddit </span><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/midcenturymodern/comments/1c4nlny/chris_pratt_demolished_the_entirety_of_a/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">commenters</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> also lamented the demo of the property on a midcentury modern focused subreddit.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Yet more proof that money can&#8217;t buy good taste,” one person wrote.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“This is incredibly sad. Ellwood/Burke just did custom one-offs, so there aren&#8217;t that many around. CSH #16 is one of my favorites. Great form and materials. Don&#8217;t want to ever see what atrocity that will take its place,” another person wrote.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Despite the Kansas City Chiefs hosting their Super Bowl LVIII victory parade on Valentine&#8217;s Day, Chiefs star QB </span><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/patrick-mahomes"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Patrick Mahomes</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> took time to celebrate his wife Brittany Mahomes ahead of the festivities.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In a post on </span><a href="https://www.instagram.com/stories/brittanylynne/3302665095169822206/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Instagram</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, </span><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/patrick-mahomes-says-brittany-is-the-key-to-his-success-i-have-a-great-wife"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Brittany</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> shared a picture of Mahomes atop the double-decker bus at the parade handing his wife a red rose. She wrote next to the picture, &#8220;He didn&#8217;t forget.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">She also posted a picture of the couple on the way to the victory parade and wrote, &#8220;Happy Valentine&#8217;s Day.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Patrick and Brittany tied the knot in 2022 after meeting in high school. The couple share two kids together, a son and daughter.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Later on the &#8220;New Heights&#8221; </span><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wt_Y5_MJ4o"><span style="font-weight: 400;">podcast</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce talked about what he was giving wife Kylie Kelce for Valentine&#8217;s and said he had it &#8220;planned out.&#8221; (1:38:12)</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">During the podcast, Kelce said to his wife, (off camera), &#8220;by the way, Happy Valentine’s Day. I just wanted everyone to know you&#8217;re my Valentines.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">He then promised his wife that it&#8217;s &#8220;gonna be a surprise&#8221; what they are doing and said &#8220;I got it all planned out.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Kylie replied that Emily — a possible assistant — would be the one making dinner reservations.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;Listen, Emily makes our reservations,&#8221; Kelce responded, noting that the kids will be coming too. &#8220;I thought we&#8217;ve been away from the kids for so long that it&#8217;d be good to include the kids, &#8217;cause I know you miss them so much.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Kylie replied, &#8220;He&#8217;s a hopeless romantic, everyone!&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The couple have been together since 2016 before tying the knot two years later. They share three daughters together.</span></p>
