Stacey Abrams took the stage at a Lizzo concert in Atlanta, making a last-minute plea for voters to show up on November 8 while reiterating her firm pro-abortion stance.
The Democratic candidate for governor of Georgia walked out holding a “My body my choice” sign just after singer Latto’s performance of the song “P***y.” Latto was the opening act for Lizzo’s The Special Tour, per Billboard.
“I’m not gonna interrupt your fun. I just want to remind you that if you believe in my body, my choice, I need your vote,” Abrams told the screaming crowd. “I need your big energy,” she continued. “Let’s get it!”

The gubernatorial candidate reiterated that sentiment on her Instagram account later. “Thank you for sharing your stage with me, @latto777. Time to vote and protect a woman’s right to choose,” Abrams shared.
Abrams has been making headlines for her extreme position on abortion, which she has made a central focus of her campaign. Last week she seemed to imply that women who had children were more likely to suffer from the effects of inflation because they have kids to support financially.
“But let’s be clear, having children is why you’re worried about your price for gas, it’s why you’re concerned about how much food costs,” Abrams told MSNBC anchor Mike Barnicle when he said issues like inflation are more important to voters than abortion.
She went on to say that abortion is not a “reductive issue” for women.
In September, Abrams also claimed that a fetal heartbeat wasn’t real. “There is no such thing as a heartbeat at six weeks,” she said during a panel discussion. “It is a manufactured sound designed to convince people that men have the right to take control of a woman’s body in place of her.”
It makes perfect sense that Lizzo would be the one hosting such a pro-abortion extremist. The “Truth Hurts” singer was so upset that Roe v. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court in June that she and events promotion company Live Nation pledged $1 million to Planned Parenthood as a form of protest, The Daily Wire previously reported.
“The abortion ban is atrocious,” Lizzo said previously at one of her concerts as a response to a new Texas law. “Mind your business. Stay out of my body. This is not political.” She also claimed conservative politicians were “all up in her uterus.”
