Planned Parenthood’s Illinois chapter has agreed to pay $500,000 after the federal government investigated allegations that the branch discriminated against its white employees. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) said there is reasonable cause to believe the organization segregated its employees by race into “affinity networks.”
Many firms have “affinity networks,” which allow employees to join employee groups with those to whom they feel similar. However, at other companies, these networks are voluntary, not mandatory. Planned Parenthood had mandatory &#8220;affinity caucuses” segregated by race, and employees of other races were not allowed to participate.
Every week, staff were required to attend one- to two-hour sessions of segregated racial affinity caucuses or DEI training. At DEI training sessions, white employees were reportedly the target of harassment and derogatory statements such as: they “are white and do not feel racism the same way that non-white patients feel” and “white supremacy is exerted at every level of oppression.&#8221;
EEOC Chair Andrea Lucas said, “Segregating employees by race violates the core promise of our nation’s civil rights laws.” Lucas added in her statement that Title VII guarantees equal treatment for every employee and “those protections equally apply to white workers.”
Planned Parenthood employees alleged that the company even restricted the benefits of white employees. “Planned Parenthood also denied white employees access to time off that it granted only to black employees,” the report read. Along with the $500,000 settlement, Planned Parenthood fired the manager responsible for the misconduct that the investigation uncovered. The EEOC says the investigation was prompted after multiple employees brought forward their concerns.
The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/planned-parenthood-illinois/newsroom/statement-in-response-to-august-21-article-from-buzzfeed-news-statement-in-response-to-august-21-article-from-buzzfeed-news?utm_source=chatgpt.com">obtained</a> a press release from the Illinois Planned Parenthood affiliate that may have been the start of the organization’s discriminatory practices.
Planned Parenthood of Illinois said in a response to a BuzzFeed News article, &#8220;Despite not having the details of this particular incident, we recognize that Planned Parenthood has been complicit in upholding systemic racism. Moving forward, [Planned Parenthood of Illinois] is deeply committed to being anti-racist and ensuring that our work is not performative, that there is no divide between our words and actions.”
They added, “As part of this work, we’ve created spaces for honest conversations about race and are providing multiple channels through which staff have opportunities to share their lived experiences with leadership.”
The Illinois Planned Parenthood is not the only affiliate to release statements on racism in their organization. Nineteen out of the 49 Planned Parenthood affiliates have issued statements.
Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest said, “We must confront how white supremacy of the past and present continues in the institutions we are a part of today including our own organization.&#8221;
The Virginia affiliate said that they acknowledge “our past and our present participation in white supremacy and are committed to stopping, learning, growing and living our values through the hard and uncomfortable work of progress.”
None of the statements released by the Planned Parenthood chapters specifically addressed discrimination allegations against white employees or white patients.

A pro-life group challenged a Detroit ordinance creating a speech buffer zone around abortion facilities, arguing that the city’s policy violates the First Amendment.
The group Sidewalk Advocates for Life sued Detroit in federal court on Wednesday over an ordinance it passed instituting a 15 foot buffer zone around all abortion facilities where pro-life advocates cannot enter. The ordinance also creates an eight foot floating buffer within 100 feet of an abortion facility for any client.
“The Ordinance, which is enforceable through criminal penalties, violates the Free Speech, Free Exercise, and Freedom of Assembly Clauses of the First Amendment and the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, as well as the Michigan Constitution,” said the <a href="https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/63d954d4e4ad424df7819d46/69bb229374c5d96c3dd7e4c6_DE%201-Complaint_SAFL%20v%20City%20of%20Detroit.pdf">lawsuit</a>, which was filed by the Thomas More Society.
Kevin Hammer, a member of Sidewalk Advocates, said that the ordinance bans him from handing out pro-life literature while holding a sign reading “Ask Me About Free Ultrasounds and Pregnancy Tests” outside of the Scotsdale Women’s Center in Detroit, Michigan.
“Our Sidewalk Advocates stand on public sidewalks offering a gentle word and information to women who are willing to receive it—that is what this ordinance criminalizes,” said Lauren Muzyka, the president and CEO of Sidewalk Advocates for Life.
The suit points out that a recent <a href="https://adflegal.org/case/brown-v-city-pittsburgh/">decision</a> from the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals struck down a similar ordinance implemented by Pittsburgh. The court said that the buffer zone ordinance was overly burdensome on free speech.
Detroit’s ordinance was passed in 2024 and <a href="https://mcclibraryfunctions.azurewebsites.us/api/ordinanceDownload/10649/1365639/pdf">says</a> that “no person, within a 100-foot radius of any entrance door to a healthcare facility, shall knowingly approach within eight feet of another person for the purpose of passing a leaflet or handbill to, displaying a sign to, or engaging in oral protest, education or counseling with such other person in the public right-of-way unless such other person consents.”
The suit says that this stipulation substantially burdens speech and does not serve a compelling government interest.
“This ordinance does not protect anyone,” said Thomas More Society head of litigation Peter Breen. “It makes it a crime to stand on a public sidewalk and offer a woman a choice. The government cannot wall off the public square so that women never hear they have alternatives to abortion.”

An Illinois congresswoman wants to address a hidden danger to the American public tied to the spike in abortions facilitated by the fatal drug mifepristone.
Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) introduced a proposal on Wednesday that would make it illegal to take an abortion pill “without the physical presence of a healthcare provider” and prevent the remains of unborn children from being flushed into the public water system. The aftermath of the fatal procedure could be harming the American public, Miller said.
&#8220;The murder-for-profit abortion industry has completely ignored the dangerous and unethical disposal of pre-born baby remains and toxic chemical waste produced by abortion pills,” Miller told The Daily Wire. “I introduced the Clean Water for All Life Act to put an end to their reckless and inhumane practices.”
Miller’s legislation comes as abortions through mifepristone have become the most common means to end an unborn child’s life. Mifepristone works by starving an unborn child of the nutrients it needs to survive.
Thanks to regulations introduced by the Biden administration, mifepristone can be shipped through the mail without an in-person doctor’s visit. Pro-life advocates have blamed this regulation for the tens of thousands of abortions in states where medication abortion is technically against the law.
In addition to requiring the presence of a doctor, Miller’s legislation would mandate that a woman have a physical examination before getting an abortion pill and that the unborn baby would not be flushed down the toilet.
Doctors who violate the proposal could be sentenced to up to five years in prison and fined up to $50,000.
The organization Students for Life of America, which supports the bill, estimates that some 50 tons of chemical waste and human remains are flushed into America’s water systems every year due to abortions. They say the chemicals from the pills could lead to health problems for all Americans.
According to Miller’s office, this could include immune and nervous system disturbances, infertility, increased cancer risk, moodiness, hormone imbalances in women, and decreased testosterone in men.
“The loss of human life from Chemical Abortion Pills every day sickens so many Americans, but very little thought is given to what happens after a Chemical Abortion,” Students for Life of America President Kristan Hawkins said. “Babies deserve better, and many of us are being exposed to abortion water pollution in our drinking water.”
Women who took the abortion pill have spoken out about the horrific experience of having well-developed babies expelled from their bodies. Last week, a woman named Elizabeth Gillete said the baby she aborted had recognizable eyes and limbs.
“That was so different from the double period and the extra clotting that they told me that I would experience,” she said. “And in that moment, I had to decide if I was going to throw my child in the trash or flush my child down the toilet, and I chose to flush him into a septic tank.”
Miller&#8217;s legislation is backed by Republican Reps Michael Cloud (Texas), Pat Harrigan (North Carolina), Sheri Biggs (South Carolina), Paul Gosar (Arizona), Diana Harshbarger (Tennessee), John McGuire (Virginia), Greg Steube (Florida), and Tim Burchett (Tennessee).
Pro-life advocates have urged the Food and Drug Administration to reimpose the in-person requirement for the abortion pill.

His predictions “proved premature.” What were his predictions? His prediction was that if the population grew any more, we would have widespread famine, because the Earth could not sustain all those people.

His prescriptions, therefore, were to stop having kids and sterilize people. We should use the government to reduce the population. These policies of his led to the one-child policy in China and forced sterilizations in India. This guy is — not single-handedly, but pretty close — responsible for the population crisis (or depopulation) that we face today.
And they say his predictions &#8220;proved premature.&#8221; 
Since he made his prediction that we would inevitably face mass starvation because the population was growing too much, since that time, the world population has doubled and global malnutrition has been cut dramatically. Today there are twice as many people as when he made his prediction, and we are more well-fed than ever.
It&#8217;s not that his predictions proved premature. They were completely wrong. Totally wrong. 
The New York Times is covering for Ehrlich in its obituary of him. Ehrlich did more evil than almost anybody in the 20th century. And the consequences of his stupid predictions and prescriptions — because he prescribed policy to governments — were mass evil.
The consequences of his ideas led to mass death, sterilization, the violation of basic rights, and he never let up on it.

In the interview, Ehrlich says,
<blockquote>The first thing the government should do is try and take the pressure off to reproduce &#8230; Young couples — if they don&#8217;t have children — people say, &#8216;gee, they must be sterile.&#8217; They never say, &#8216;gee, maybe they like good wine and going to the theater and so on, they prefer that to scraping diapers.&#8217; So there&#8217;s pressure to have children. So the first thing that should happen is that the president ought to say, &#8216;From here on out, no intelligent, patriotic American family ought to have more than two children, preferably one, if you&#8217;re starting a family now.&#8217; He ought to make the FCC see to it that large families are always treated in a negative light wherever they appear &#8230;  you can move to giving women bonuses for not having babies, that almost certainly would do the job. 
If that didn&#8217;t have the effect, then you could move to changing the tax structure so that people who had the money and had the children paid more for them — in other words, increase taxes on people with children rather than decrease them, since when they have the children they require more services. 
If that doesn&#8217;t work, then you&#8217;ll have the government legislating the size of the family. And people say, &#8216;Oh that&#8217;s impossible, government can never intrude and tell you how many children to have.&#8217; Well, I got news — you know it intruded a long time ago and told you how many wives you can have and there&#8217;s not the slightest question that if we don&#8217;t get the population under control with voluntary means that in the not-too-distant-future, the government will simply tell you how many children you can have and throw you in jail if you have too many.</blockquote>
So God tells us in the book of Genesis to &#8220;Be fruitful and multiply.&#8221; 
This Antichrist figure comes out in the 1970s and says, &#8220;Do not have children. It&#8217;s unpatriotic to have children.&#8221;
It&#8217;s funny because patriotism comes from the word &#8220;Pater,&#8221; meaning father — it&#8217;s an extension of filial piety, it&#8217;s an extension of the family — and he&#8217;s saying the pro-family thing to do is to destroy your family.
He says, first we&#8217;re going to incentivize people — we&#8217;re going to discourage them culturally. Say having kids is bad, you should just drink good wine instead. 
All these arguments you hear today — Don’t you want to travel? Don’t you want to have experiences? Don’t have kids.
And if that doesn&#8217;t work, we&#8217;re going to pay people not to have kids. Give women bonuses. Subsidize it. Say instead of having kids, go work at the widget factory, do spreadsheets, we’ll give you money.
That doesn&#8217;t work? Okay, now we punish you. Forget the carrot, now it&#8217;s the stick. If you have kids, we&#8217;re going to tax you. We&#8217;re going to make you pay for the privilege.
And if that doesn&#8217;t work, we&#8217;re just going to stop you from having kids.
What does that mean in practice? Because China implemented this. It means forced abortion. The government comes in and kills your child. You want to keep your child? No. Government kills your child.
It leads to policies like in India, where people were told you can only get access to food and resources if you sterilize yourself.
That happened because of this guy. Because of his book. Because of his ideas.
He said in &#8220;The Population Bomb&#8221;: 

<blockquote>The battle to feed all of humanity is over… hundreds of millions of people will starve to death… nothing can prevent a substantial increase in the world death rate.</blockquote>
Totally wrong. Could not have been more wrong.
He said we must have population control — hopefully through voluntary means, but by compulsion if necessary. That was his thesis.
He described population growth as a &#8220;cancer.&#8221; Population growth just means more people. So if more people are a cancer, then people are the disease.
Human beings are a disease.
The left has held on to that view for a very, very long time. And this is where the truly wicked origins of leftism — which endeavors to invert reality — began, during the French Revolution as an assault on the Church. This is where the real satanic, Luciferian character of liberalism really begins to show itself. One of the fruits of liberalism is the view that human beings are a disease that must be cured, that must be eradicated from the earth. 
And now this guy is eradicated from the earth. And it&#8217;s sad, because every man&#8217;s death diminishes me because I&#8217;m a human. 
As John Donne wrote in his famous poem, &#8220;No Man is an Island&#8221;:

We should pray for him, because he led a very, very evil life. And in many ways, maybe he didn’t fully understand what he was doing. “Forgive them, for they know not what they do.”
But we can’t just think about him — we have to think about the institutions.
This guy got everything wrong. Not a little wrong — perfectly wrong. And he never paid a price for it. He kept his positions, his prestige, his influence. His policies were implemented. They led to enormous harm. And the institutions backed him up.
And now one of the chief cultural institutions, The New York Times, is still covering for him — still saying his ideas were just “premature.”
Not premature. Wrong.
And as a final note, that idea — “forgive them, for they know not what they do” — this connects to something else.
The world feels tense right now. The stakes feel higher. There’s conflict in Iran, division at home, a lot of strain in the culture. For Christians, this is Lent. And if you’ve paid attention over the years, this season often feels like that — more tension, more conflict, more difficulty. In the story, this is the period in the desert, the temptation, the struggle.
And then comes Easter.
I’m not saying everything magically gets better overnight. But if you believe in spiritual realities, that there is a meaning to history, a rhythm to the liturgical calendar, then it’s not surprising that things feel strained right now.
Sometimes things look like they’re falling apart — like when Christ was crucified on Calvary — right before they come back together.
That’s the pattern.

When the Supreme Court finally overturned Roe v. Wade — reversing the worst Supreme Court decision since Dred Scott — pro-life Americans rejoiced. Little did we know the fight was only just beginning. Since then, abortion advocates have dumped millions of dollars in dark money into our states to overturn state laws, and in some cases, state constitutional provisions, protecting life. They’ve relentlessly pushed for pro-abortion judges for state courts and the federal judiciary. But above all, they’ve turned to a drug called mifepristone to bring abortion on demand to every state in the union. If pro-lifers want to protect the innocent unborn, and the health and safety of women, there’s only one thing to do: ban the chemical abortion drug.
Mifepristone first came to market in the United States in 2000, courtesy of the Clinton administration. From the beginning, it was mired in controversy. The drug was a copycat of the infamous French RU-486, which works by essentially inducing a miscarriage. This isn’t contraception. It’s not the morning-after pill. It’s a full-on abortion: the drug’s purpose is to destroy a viable pregnancy.
It was controversial because the drug carries so many side effects. It doesn’t merely kill the baby. It can also cause internal hemorrhaging, infections, sepsis, and other life-threatening conditions in the mother.
The pharma company that introduced it in the United States knew that, and took unusual and extreme measures to protect itself from liability. The name of the company is Danco. It was incorporated in the Cayman Islands. Its board of directors is secret; its investors are secret. Its corporate structure is largely shielded from public view. We do know early backers included George Soros — surprise, surprise — and other far-left activists who loudly backed population control. Their goal was simple: to put a Planned Parenthood in every mailbox in America, by developing a drug that could be shipped anywhere and cause an abortion anytime.
The Clinton administration was also aware of mifepristone’s dangers, and its FDA approval came with significant restrictions. The drug had to be prescribed by a physician. That physician had to see the patient before prescribing it, dispense the drug in person, and conduct a follow-up assessment. The FDA was also required to keep track of major health events associated with the drug and report them. The agency even slapped a “black box” warning on mifepristone’s label, meant to alert women that the drug came with serious risks.
Over time, however, one liberal administration after another removed these safeguards. 
The Obama administration dropped many of the reporting requirements and allowed non-physicians to prescribe the drug. Obama’s FDA also discarded the required follow-up visit. 
The Biden administration went further and eliminated the in-person dispensing requirement altogether.
The result? Today, mifepristone can be ordered over the internet from anywhere in the world — many of the most trafficked websites are in India — and mailed to any address in the United States. No meaningful safety protocols remain to protect women’s health or even police the integrity of the drug itself.
And what you might have expected to happen has happened. The largest study of mifepristone ever conducted found that in nearly 11% of cases, women who take the drug experience a “serious adverse health event” such as sepsis or hemorrhaging. That’s more than one in ten women. Incredibly, this rate is 22 times higher than what drug maker Danco admits to on its label.
Mifepristone’s ubiquity has also led to other horrors. Women across this country have been pressured into taking it by pro-abortion groups like Planned Parenthood, who routinely lie about the effects. And abusive partners — able to order the drug with a simple click — have intimidated or coerced women into taking it and killing babies they wanted to keep.
But of course, Danco doesn’t care: it’s making billions. Business is so lucrative, in fact, that mifepristone is the only drug the company makes. One recent piece of public reporting suggested investors’ returns top 450% — even as one in ten women who take the drug face health devastation. What has Danco done to compensate them? Nothing. They’re too busy raking in the cash.
And the far-left abortion crazies who funded Danco and worked for years to eliminate every last safety restriction, have gotten what they wanted, too. Mifepristone now accounts for 70% of abortions in the United States — a proportion that goes up every year. It is truly abortion on demand. And no matter what voters in the states decide, the number of abortions continues to grow: the drug is available by mail anywhere, irrespective of state laws.
Those harmed are women. And the innocent unborn. At least 7.5 million women have taken mifepristone since the year 2000. That means hundreds of thousands of women are sent to emergency rooms or left to cope with life-threatening conditions on their own. And millions of babies lost.
It is time for Congress to act. The last twenty years have made abundantly clear that this drug is inherently dangerous. And inherently prone to abuse. There is a direct solution: Congress should ban mifepristone for use in abortion. And Congress should give every woman harmed by the drug — and we’re talking thousands upon thousands of women — the right to sue Danco and the other drug makers who have lied to them.
Banning mifepristone in abortions is the only realistic way to end this epidemic. The FDA could theoretically reinstate some or all of the older safety restrictions, but as one recent study showed, even with safety restrictions in place, the drug still sends approximately 10% of women to the hospital with serious side effects. And it’s lethal to the baby nearly 100% of the time. Then, too, a future FDA under a liberal president could just take the safety protocols away again.
The real solution is for Congress to act, to permanently stop the drug trade in abortion by barring mifepristone from use in abortions. And to give women their voice back by finally giving them rights against the pharma kingpins.
This is not a sidelight to the fight for life. This is the fight for life. It is the fight of our time. And it cannot wait a day longer.

For years, the abortion debate has been framed almost exclusively around law and ideology. But behind the slogans are women making deeply personal decisions often under intense financial pressure. <a href="https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3729671/">National research</a> consistently shows that the cost of raising children, especially childcare, weighs heavily on those decisions.
March 12 is National Working Moms Day. At Human Coalition, we are taking this moment to celebrate the hardworking moms we serve as the nation&#8217;s most trusted life-affirming alternative to Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry. Every day, we serve pregnant women who are already working to support their other children and fearing that they can&#8217;t possibly welcome another child in their current circumstances. 
But if we’re serious about honoring working moms, we need to confront an uncomfortable truth: childcare is one of the most consequential factors shaping decisions about work, family, and even abortion. 
According to Human Coalition, a national pro-life organization that serves thousands of pregnant women each year, <a href="https://www.humancoalition.org/impact/blog/continuum-of-care/">76%</a> of women seeking abortion say they would prefer to parent if circumstances were different, and financial reasons figure prominently in many of those decisions. Nearly 40% cite <a href="https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3729671/">economic concerns overall</a>, and more than one in four say they “<a href="https://www.guttmacher.org/sites/default/files/pdfs/pubs/psrh/full/3711005.pdf">can’t afford a baby and childcare</a>.” 
These are not abstract statistics. They represent women staring at bank accounts, calculating rent, daycare, groceries, and gas, and concluding they have no room left for a new baby.
Consider “<a href="https://www.humancoalition.org/impact/blog/how-does-childcare-affect-a-womans-abortion-decision/">Cindy.</a>&#8220;
When she first came to Human Coalition, pregnant with her second child, Cindy was overwhelmed and unsure whether she could choose life. With practical support, she completed her GED, secured childcare vouchers, and started working. Stability seemed within reach.
Then her employer changed her hours. She lost childcare. Without childcare, she lost her job. One scheduling shift unraveled everything.
Human Coalition walked with her again, helping her regain stability. But Cindy’s story illustrates a broader reality: for many working-class mothers, childcare access is fragile. One disruption can mean lost income, lost opportunity, and a life thrown off track.
That’s why recent reforms in the Working Families Tax Cut deserve real attention.
The legislation included meaningful steps to strengthen childcare access and expand flexibility for working- and middle-class parents. Lawmakers <a href="https://www.ffyf.org/policy-priorities/tax-policy-and-child-care/#:~:text=The%20tax%20code%20was%20updated%20in%20July,or%20provide%20child%20care%20for%20their%20workforce">reinforced funding</a> streams by increasing the Child &amp; Dependent Care Tax Credit (CDCTC), expanding dependent care assistance program (DCAP) limits to $7,500, and boosting the Employer-Provided Child Care Credit (Section 45F) to encourage business-supported care.
The bill also modernized certain eligibility pathways and acknowledged something working mothers have long understood: that affordable childcare isn&#8217;t a subsidy for working parents; it&#8217;s a foundation for a culture that makes room for new life.
And without accessible childcare, financial stability slips away for some of the most vulnerable moms in our nation.
These reforms matter because the cost burden is staggering. In 2024, parents reported spending roughly 22% of their income on childcare and nearly 30% of their savings just to maintain it. A new<a href="https://americanfamilysurvey.byu.edu/american-family-survey-2025"> 2025 American Family Survey</a> showed that the average annual price of center-based child care is $15,570, rivaling mortgage payments in many communities.
And even when families can afford care, they often can’t find it. More than half of Americans live in a “<a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/childcare-deserts-labor-shortage-infrastructure-affordable-childcare-working-parents-2021-11">childcare desert</a>,” where there are at least three children for every licensed childcare slot.
This isn’t just an affordability crisis. It’s an access crisis.
The cultural conversation often assumes Americans don’t want families anymore. The data tell a different story.
A 2024 peer-reviewed paper from scholars Lyman Stone and Clara Piano found that states with less restrictive childcare regulations have meaningfully smaller “<a href="https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1111/coep.12677">fertility gaps,</a>” which represent the gap between how many children women say they want and how many they actually have. In the state with the most burdensome regulations, simply adopting the regulatory environment of the least restrictive state would increase fertility rates by roughly 13%. 
Strikingly, in every state, the average desired family size remains above the replacement level of 2.1 children.
Women want children. They need the structural support that makes those children economically possible.
The goal here isn’t to replace immediate family or community support with government. It’s to remove unnecessary barriers that make family formation financially perilous. Smart childcare reform can expand options for those who need them most. If we want stronger families, a healthier economy, and a culture where moms don’t feel forced into abortion by their circumstances, we cannot ignore the role childcare plays in all three.
National Working Moms Day shouldn’t be reduced to social media tributes and corporate platitudes. It should prompt serious reflection about the policies shaping women’s real-life experiences. For many women standing at the edge of a decision between life and death for their unborn child, it can be an undeniably pro-life policy.
We’ve made meaningful progress. But until no woman feels cornered into a permanent decision because of a temporary economic barrier, our work isn’t done.

Urging Congress to take action against the abortion drug mifepristone, a woman named Elizabeth Gillete spoke out Wednesday about her horrific experience with the fatal pill.
Speaking at a press conference organized by Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO), Gillette gave her story of how the abortion drug had harmed her when she was in her 20s and ended the life of her unborn baby. After pressure from her boyfriend, she said she took an abortion pill and said when the baby was expelled from her body he had recognizable eyes, limbs, and earbuds.
“That was so different from the double period and the extra clotting that they told me that I would experience,” she said. “And in that moment, I had to decide if I was going to throw my child in the trash or flush my child down the toilet, and I chose to flush him into a septic tank.”
She said the whole experience gave her post-traumatic stress disorder.
&#8220;And instead of relief, I got horrible nightmares that started, where I would see people dying and people being murdered,&#8221; she said. &#8220;I would hear infants crying in the trash cans when I walked by them, I would hear infants crying in the toilet. I was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, which I still suffer from this day.&#8221;
Her comments came as Hawley announced Wednesday that he had introduced a bill that would ban the use of mifepristone for abortion nationwide. He said the bill was inspired by how the abortion rate has increased despite the overturning of Roe v. Wade. 
“There are more abortions now in the United States than there were when Roe was still the law of the land,” Hawley said. “It is time for Congress to ban the use of mifepristone for abortion.”
“Only Congress can address this situation. Only Congress is placed to regulate the flow of interstate drugs,” he added. 
The proposal would also allow women who were harmed by the abortion drug to sue the manufacturers for damages. 
A companion bill was introduced by Tennessee Republican Diana Harshbarger in the House. 
Mifepristone has quickly become the most common method for ending the life of an unborn baby. The fatal drug, which ends a baby’s life by cutting it off from nutrients needed to survive, has largely fueled the nationwide increase in abortion. Abortionists and leftist activists, protected by so-called shield-laws, have shipped the drug through the mail bypassing red state laws banning medication abortions. 
Data released in December by the pro-abortion Society of Family Planning <a href="https://societyfp.org/research/wecount/wecount-june-2025-data/">revealed</a> that the number of monthly abortions continued to increase in 2025 from 2024, which was itself an increase from 2023. 
Pro-life advocates including Hawley have called for the Trump administration to repeal Biden-era regulations that allowed the drug to be shipped through the mail without an in-person doctor&#8217;s visit. 
The Food and Drug Administration has said that it is conducting a safety study of mifepristone and has kept Biden-era regulations in place that allow the fatal drug to be sent through the mail with no in-person doctor visits. 
Last month, Hawley <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/serious-crisis-hawley-says-congress-must-act-to-combat-rising-abortion-rates?author=Leif+Le+Mahieu&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=‘Serious+Crisis’%3A+Hawley+Says+Congress+Must+Act+To+Combat+Rising+Abortion+Rates">told The Daily Wire</a> that he thought it was time for Congress to get involved in the abortion fight. 
“I think Congress needs to be involved. Congress shouldn’t be a spectator and just outsource this to other people. I think it’s time for Congress to get involved,” he said. 
Those comments came after he attended a close-door briefing with FDA Administrator Marty Makary to discuss the regulation of mifepristone. He said he thought the safety study was a “dead end.”

She Took The Abortion Pill — What Happened Next Is Changing The Fight Over It

A peculiar ritual has emerged on Sunday afternoons in online evangelical discourse. After the benediction, after the coffee, after lunch, some settle in to read David French at The New York Times. He is, after all, a self-proclaimed evangelical and political conservative (this, despite using his platform to repeatedly hector evangelicals for all their supposed shortcomings, namely, voting overwhelmingly for Donald Trump).
This past Sunday, French turned his <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2026/03/08/opinion/james-talarico-christian-democrat-texas-primary.html">column</a> into something of a paean to James Talarico, the freshly minted Texas Democratic Senate nominee who has parlayed his Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary enrollment into a national brand. French called Talarico a “Christian X-ray” and reframed the country’s primary political divide not as Left versus Right but as decent versus indecent. The implication, apparently, is that a smiling seminarian who talks about love, who denies essential doctrines of the Christian faith, and who supports unfettered access to abortion and affirms gender ideology represents the decent side in opposition to “MAGA Christianity” that trades virtue for cruelty. In truth, Talarico is a walking caricature of the very worst elements of progressive Christianity, coupled with his Boy Scoutish looks and deep Southern folksiness.
To be fair to French, he does note his disagreements with Talarico. That caveat deserves acknowledgment. But a caveat buried in a column is not a serious engagement. It is a cover for a bait-and-switch that occurs later in the column. While espousing heresy is a grave error for Talarico, only slightly less severe is papering over doctrinal errors and legitimizing them on the pages of The New York Times, as French has done.
And French gets something else right before we can understand where he goes wrong. French has consistently and correctly argued that too many Christians have, at times, embraced a pragmatic ethic when evaluating Donald Trump. That is a real problem, and character defenses that are, in fact, indefensible can cheapen Christian witness. Paul’s instruction to Timothy is not optional: “Watch your life and doctrine closely” (1 Tim. 4:16). But in my estimate, I do not regard Donald Trump as a Christian (even while I maintain the importance of upholding good character for all politicians). The framing French relies upon is more acutely applied to Talarico than to Donald Trump. Doctrine and character go hand in glove. The Christian moral tradition has never treated them as divisible, even as we understand that on-the-ground politicians do not always neatly align with Christian desires. But what French is doing is far worse than the hypocrisy he accuses “MAGA Christians” of; he’s now embarking on a final phase of his transformation by downplaying doctrine and elevating practice, which is a historic trajectory seen in the journey toward theological progressivism.
And here is the difficulty. French is making, in his treatment of Talarico, the precise error he has spent years denouncing, an error that malforms Christianity as a packaged whole. He is accepting the appeal of a charming political figure while setting aside the doctrinal catastrophe underneath. He is doing with progressive Christianity exactly what he accuses MAGA Christians of doing with Donald Trump: trading away sound doctrine for the aesthetic satisfaction of a candidate who seems nicer, nay, “decent.” But consider: Talarico says, “God is non-binary.” He supports the dismemberment of unborn children in the name of reproductive freedom. He does all of this with the backing of Christian moralism. He publicly positions Christian faith as the engine for a progressive political program that would have been unrecognizable to any historic expression of the Christian tradition. This is not a candidate with some character flaws. This is a candidate whose stated theology repudiates the faith he claims to represent.
The Apostle Paul did not admonish his readers to focus solely on their ethics. He also admonished them to watch their doctrine, and to understand that the two cannot be disaggregated. Kindness is a genuine Christian virtue. It is not sufficient. A kind heretic is still a heretic. A man who speaks about Jesus with warmth while denying the moral order that Christ himself affirmed is not a Christian statesman. He is a wolf in a very well-pressed suit (Matt. 7:15). What French is doing in his column is making an unbiblical tradeoff—accepting the legitimacy of bankrupt doctrine under the ethics of character while accepting Talarico’s dubious, silver-tongued deceitfulness.
What is saddest about French’s column is not the argument itself, but what the argument reveals. There is a deep and corrosive bitterness driving it. His contempt for conservative Christians who have voted for Trump has mutated over time into something uglier: a reflexive and condescending derision of anyone who refuses to share his political judgments, dressed up as prophetic moral clarity. Let us all take a lesson that deep-seated rage at Donald Trump and his Christian supporters does not justify placating doctrinal error. When you begin describing a progressive politician who affirms abortion as a “Christian X-ray” that illuminates the failures of orthodox Christians, you have not elevated your commentary. You have descended into trollish editorializing with a more elite platform.
And here is the frustrating thing: none of this requires choosing between character and moral substance. Christians are perfectly capable of walking and chewing gum. We can and should refuse to excuse indefensible behavior from any politician, Republican or Democrat. We can acknowledge that character matters across the board. And we can simultaneously recognize that there are genuine, serious moral asymmetries between the two major party platforms on questions near and dear to evangelicals, namely abortion, human dignity, and religious liberty. Recognizing those asymmetries is not capitulation to MAGA Christianity. It is an honest moral assessment of less-than-ideal political realities.
Progressive Christianity is not Christianity. Any movement, and any thirty-something seminarian, that denies the core doctrines of the Christian faith has not offered a fresh reading of the tradition. It has departed from the tradition. The tradition has a word for that departure. It is called heresy. And anyone, including certain New York Times columnists, who aids and abets such departures by insisting they still count as authentic Christianity, is not offering serious commentary on the Christian faith. It is offering theological malpractice to a very large audience.

The Justice Department moved Friday to block a lawsuit from Missouri challenging the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for allowing the abortion drug mifepristone to be shipped through the mail. 
A <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.moed.224112/gov.uscourts.moed.224112.293.1.pdf">filing</a> from the DOJ argued that allowing the suit to move forward would inhibit a safety study on the abortion pill being conducted by the Trump administration. Missouri and several other Republican-led states have asked a judge to block a COVID-era policy that relaxed regulations for dispensing the abortion pill. 
“Missouri, Kansas, and Idaho are not the only plaintiffs to have challenged the current conditions of use for mifepristone,” the Justice Department wrote. “Given this widespread debate over the safety of mifepristone, FDA has concluded that the best path forward is for the agency to undertake its review based on all the evidence before the agency.”
The filing asked the judge to put the lawsuit on hold while the FDA reviews the Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) for mifepristone or dismiss the case altogether. It comes as pro-life <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/republican-voters-want-action-on-mail-order-abortion-pill-as-midterms-loom?author=Leif+Le+Mahieu&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Republican+Voters+Want+Action+On+Mail-Order+Abortion+Pill+As+Midterms+Loom">advocates</a> and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/serious-crisis-hawley-says-congress-must-act-to-combat-rising-abortion-rates?author=Leif+Le+Mahieu&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=%E2%80%98Serious+Crisis%E2%80%99%3A+Hawley+Says+Congress+Must+Act+To+Combat+Rising+Abortion+Rates">lawmakers</a> have called for the Trump administration to crack down on mail-order abortion pills. 
Last year, FDA Administrator Marty Makary and Health and Human Services Director Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said that they initiated the REMS review. The study has yet to be released, and pro-life lawmakers and advocates have grown impatient as abortions continue to increase in states where medication abortion is banned due to an influx of outside pills. 
A spokesman for the Justice Department told The Daily Wire that the intent of the filing was to allow the FDA to oversee drug policy, not the federal court system. 
“In this filing, the Department of Justice requested more time from the court for the FDA to complete its review of mifepristone REMS,” the spokesman said. “As the Supreme Court recognized in a unanimous ruling less than two years ago, it is the role of the FDA – not the federal courts – to evaluate drug safety data and impose appropriate precautions.”
The filing from the DOJ dismisses concerns from pro-life states that FDA policies allow abortionists to ship pills into their states. The department said that states “remain free to make and enforce their pro-life policies” and that the federal government is not “standing in the way of Intervenor Plaintiffs enforcing their abortion laws against out-of-state prescribers of mifepristone.”
The filing <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/fda-claims-mail-order-abortion-policies-are-not-preventing-states-from-protecting-the-unborn">mirrors another</a> one from January, where the DOJ asked a judge not to grant a request from Louisiana also seeking to block the FDA&#8217;s abortion pill mailing policy.
Data <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/despite-dobbs-more-babies-are-still-being-aborted-in-the-united-states">indicate</a> that tens of thousands of abortions are still happening in states like Texas, where medication abortion is banned. While Attorney General Ken Paxton has attempted to penalize abortionists accused of shipping pills into the state, New York has so far refused to cooperate due to shield laws put in place for abortionists. 
The Friday filing was condemned by Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser, who has been a vocal critic of the Trump administration’s handling of medication abortion. 
“The pro-life movement has very simple demands,” she said. “There should be no place on the market for drugs meant to poison and kill innocent human beings – but at the very least, this administration can and should take them out of the mail. This is no more or less than the policy of the first Trump administration.”
The Justice Department spokesman told The Daily Wire the department remains “committed to advancing President Trump’s pro-life agenda, including through dismissing criminal prosecutions and civil lawsuits against peaceful pro-life advocates targeted by the previous administration, and using the FACE Act to protect pro-life pregnancy centers.”

Late last Friday, President Donald Trump’s Department of Justice asked a judge to dismiss Missouri v. FDA, a case brought by pro-life states over FDA rules that allow abortion drugs to be prescribed online, without doctors ever seeing or speaking to the actual patient. These rules risk women’s health, enable <a href="https://sbaprolife.org/latest-news/abortion-drugs-fuel-abuse-the-women-poisoned-against-their-will">abuse and coercion</a>, and effectively nullify all pro-life laws at the state level. In this lawsuit – it’s not the only one – the Trump DOJ argues that the policy should stand indefinitely until the FDA decides what, if anything, it will do.
The vast majority of Americans think women should be required to see a doctor before taking abortion drugs. In every poll where it’s been asked, this has been by a wide margin – including large majorities of independents, suburban women, and Gen Z, as well as nearly half of those who call themselves pro-choice. These requirements were standard for years, until, citing COVID, the Biden administration effectively removed them a few months into his term.
That Biden-era policy still stands today. As a result, throughout the country, abortion is de facto regulated by activist groups in the states with the most lax laws, who ship drugs nationally, regardless of the laws in the state where the patient lives. Many of these groups will prescribe to anyone who fills out an online form, without even requiring a video or phone call. Some advertise that they’ll send these drugs “in advance” to women who aren’t even pregnant.
These groups have no idea of the woman’s medical situation, or the actual age of the baby, creating serious health risks for the mother. Nor do they have any real confirmation of who filled out the form in the first place. Stories of abusive husbands and boyfriends obtaining these pills and forcing them on their unwilling partners have become sadly commonplace. Most recently, a baby girl in Texas named <a href="https://x.com/marjoriesba/status/2027079983009534202?s=20">Presley Mae</a> was delivered stillborn after her father slipped the drugs to her unwilling mother in secret.
Abortion drugs, to be clear, are not like “Plan B” or the “morning-after pill.” They are designed to abort unborn children much, much later. While the FDA’s own limit for the drugs is 10 weeks, the groups who send these pills often say they will provide them through the third month of pregnancy. Some emphasize – for “informational purposes” – that the pills continue to be “effective” until the fifth or sixth month, at which point the baby might survive a usual dosage. After 18 weeks, <a href="https://www.ineedana.com/pills-after-12-weeks">one group</a> warns women that they may see “spontaneous gasping or movements” from the baby, but notes that these “typically stop on their own[.]” Of course, whatever their nominal limits, these companies have no way of verifying the baby’s age without an actual examination.
Trump’s DOJ argues, among other things, that pro-life states suffer insufficient harm from FDA rules (despite the effective nullification of their own state protections) to even be able to sue. They’ve also argued that some victims of this regime – women whose boyfriends filled out the form, obtained the pills, and forced the drugs upon them – shouldn’t have standing to sue without proving that it’s likely to happen again. On top of that, they say, the FDA is monitoring the situation, a full review will take place eventually, and that action is unwarranted until the review is finished at some indefinite point in the future.
The best indication we have for the timeline for this review is reporting from last year that Dr. Marty Makary, the head of the FDA, is waiting until after the midterms to decide whether to act. This wouldn’t necessarily be surprising, but it would be enormously ill-advised. According to a recent national polling from <a href="https://sbaprolife.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/SBA_National_Memo_Final.pdf">Cygnal</a>, not only do the overwhelming majority of Republicans support returning to the old status quo and restoring in-person visits, but around a third of them would be less likely to vote in the midterms if Republicans weaken their dedication to these and other pro-life policies.
That would be a disaster. In midterms, even small mistakes can lead to large losses, and seriously demoralizing a third of your base would be no small mistake. For our part, we’re planning to spend <a href="https://sbaprolife.org/newsroom/press-releases/leading-pro-life-group-announces-80-million-midterms-investment">$80 million</a> this cycle trying to keep a pro-life majority in the House and Senate. But spurning a third of your base to avoid being on the winning side of a 70-30 issue makes that goal unnecessarily difficult. This may be why nearly every Republican in Congress who is up for re-election has already explicitly asked the administration to change its tune.
In the meantime, each month of inaction means around 10,000 babies like Presley Mae will die – just in the states with the strongest pro-life laws. Abusers will continue to get their hands on these lethal drugs. And countless women and girls will be sent to the emergency room with serious complications.
Pro-life states are right to sue – the FDA, as the administration has already admitted elsewhere, can end this situation immediately if they want to. The harms are real and serious. And failure to act risks not just the midterms, but hundreds of thousands of lives. The fact that Trump’s DOJ is siding with the pro-abortion lobby to get these cases thrown out is a disgrace.

In the aftermath of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation that began last summer and ramped up as the White House began cracking down on widespread fraud, Minnesota has been ground zero for purity tests of the far-Left regime. Now, there’s a horse race for the Democrat Farmer Labor candidate for Minnesota’s Senate seat, after current Senator Tina Smith announced her retirement at the end of this term. 
 
The race to the Left — or the bottom, depending on which way the political winds are blowing — is between current Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan and Rep. Angie Craig. Both women flash their “girl power” bone fides at every chance, except when they’re appealing to the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/walz-signed-exec-order-protecting-trans-procedures-on-minors-while-holding-hand-of-gender-confused-12-year-old">trans-affirmative activists</a> who claim sex is a social construct, or to the abortion rights radicals who endanger women’s health and applaud the death of baby girls up to the <a href="https://alphanews.org/angie-craig-voted-against-bill-to-establish-protections-for-babies-who-survive-attempted-abortions/">moment of birth</a>. 
 
The latest show of extreme views comes from Craig, who, in a <a href="https://www.startribune.com/ice-agent-surge-minnesota-protests-federal-enforcement/601591429">commentary</a> in The Minnesota Star Tribune, writes of her “regret” in voting for the Laken Riley Act, the first bill that President Donald Trump signed into law in his second term. 
 
It’s “become clear that supporting any bill that gives ICE new authority in this administration was the wrong decision,” Craig writes. She cites the act’s expansion of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 to include the detention without bail of noncitizen aliens while their immigration proceedings were pending to nonviolent offenders and provides for detaining aliens who are charged with or convicted of assaulting a law enforcement officer. 
 
Craig comes to her lament after standing “side by side with protesters on the streets of Minneapolis and opposite dozens of armed Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents at the Whipple Federal Building.” She makes no mention of the victims of these aliens’ <a href="https://www.ice.gov/news/releases/ice-arrests-dozens-criminal-illegal-aliens-convicted-murder-child-rape-and-more">crimes</a> — crimes that put them on the ICE radar and, thanks to Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, were free to live as “neighbors” instead of being detained by law enforcement in the local jails. 
 
How did her fellow DFL-er and political rival Peggy Flanagan respond? She pounced on it as an inexcusable failing in the moral purity test that the Minnesota extremist cabal uses as the standard operating procedure in politics. Flanagan posted on X a video clip of Craig voicing her support for the bill before her walk-back, adding, “Nothing can undo the damage that has been done.” Shots fired.
“Minnesotans want common sense,” Michele Tafoya, a Republican seeking that seat, told The Daily Wire. “We want law and order. But we are run by far Left career politicians who put their own careers ahead of the safety of innocent, law-abiding Minnesotans. Some of them are crazy, some of them are cowards and some of them are both. It has to change.”
“Angie Craig turning her back on the Laken Riley Act because her far Left base demands it is a craven act. Moderate Democrats have gone extinct in Minnesota,” she added.
In Minnesota, we were offered a bait-and-switch with Walz, who, in statewide elections and in his miserable bid for vice president alongside Kamala Harris, was touted as an American Everyman action figure, complete with a vintage truck, Mountain Dew, and hunting accessories. But his <a href="https://www.americanexperiment.org/what-america-needs-to-know-about-tim-walz-of-minnesota/">record </a>reveals extremist policies and disdain for the average fellas he was recruited to represent. Walz is one example of a new trend on the Left: Campaign as a moderate and, once elected, push hard-Left, radical policies.
California Governor Gavin Newsom has appeared on various conservative platforms with a moderate <a href="https://nypost.com/2026/01/15/us-news/gavin-newsom-backtracks-on-outrageous-ice-claims-made-by-his-own-team-in-shapiro-interview/">tone</a>. Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger&#8217;s State of the Union <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/dem-rising-stars-sotu-rebuttal-ripped-conservatives-anyone-who-claims-she-moderate-liar">rebuttal</a> last month displayed rank hypocrisy and a laughable attempt at &#8220;Moderate Dem&#8221; rebranding.
Spanberger, who ran as a moderate, is now proposing sweeping, state-wide tax hikes, and criticizing immigration enforcement to the point of <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/dhs-blasts-spanberger-potential-release-182714286.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall">denying</a> an ICE detainer for an illegal immigrant with over 30 arrests accused of stabbing a 41-year-old woman to death at a bus stop in Fairfax County. Even socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani leveraged the &#8220;affordability&#8221; buzzword and an inclusive demeanor to obfuscate sky-high tax policies and his anti-Jewish, anti-Israel history.
We’ll continue to see this leftward march, purity tests, and hyperbolic rhetoric in support of these extreme measures — unhindered hormone and surgical procedures on minors for sex transitions, unlimited abortion, allowing males to compete against females in sports and opening bathrooms and locker rooms to all genders — and now siding with criminal aliens against law abiding citizens who truly want their neighborhoods safe rather than be battlegrounds for the latest Karen to proclaim her woke creds with an “ICE OUT” sign and safety whistle. What do you expect from a governor who publicly called ICE officers Nazis and compared them to the <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/5307956-minnesota-gov-tim-walz-gestapo-trump/">Gestapo</a>? 
 
Rest in peace to the moderate Democrat who understood the errors of the Biden administration&#8217;s open border policy, who saw the damage of crime, rising welfare burdens, failed assimilation, and the deaths of innocent Americans at the hands of illegal aliens, and worked toward a common-sense solution — even (gasp!) voting with Republicans. In fact, high-profile wins like Mamdani&#8217;s and Spanberger&#8217;s have emboldened the progressive wing, raising the possibility of an Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez <a href="https://x.com/SteveGuest/status/2028301350006595984?s=20">presidential bid</a> in 2028 over a moderate candidate. 
 
Bucking the far-Left puts politicians and civilians alike squarely in the fascist camp — just ask former Minnesota <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4982938-dean-phillips-my-voice-was-ignored/">Congressman Dean Phillips</a> or Pennsylvania <a href="https://whyy.org/articles/philadelphia-old-city-fridays-at-fettermans-protest-gaza-israel-war/">Senator John Fetterman</a>. If you’re a moderate, you’re owed any targeted violence, protest, or condemnation coming your way, even if it’s in a <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/anti-ice-mob-storms-minnesota-church-over-pastors-alleged-ties-immigration-enforcement">house of worship</a>. 
 
How far Left are Democrats willing to go? If it’s a way to rile up the extremist base, keep the spotlight off the bottomless fraud scandals, and make the Trump administration Public Enemy Number One, the sky’s the limit. The extremists are at the wheel, and after flattening any moderates in their party, they’ve backed up the truck, ready for another round of hit-and-run.

Swedish pop singer Zara Larsson recently came under fire for comments she made joking about a fan’s abortion.
It all started when TikTok user @honeyhazelwood shared a video of the singer performing “Midnight Sun” at one of her recent shows. Larsson is currently touring in the United States.
In a text overlay of the video, the TikTok user wrote, “i didn’t know i was pregnant here but at least my baby got to hear midnight sun before I aborted it.”
Larsson responded with a joking comment, writing, “I killed the performance and then you killed it after the performance purrrrrr.”

Their exchange inspired a negative reaction online. Later on, the singer doubled down, saying she couldn&#8217;t understand why people were so upset. “Sorry, that’s funny… Sorry if you don’t have humor,” Larsson posted in a follow-up TikTok <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@zaralarsson/video/7613900041371061526">video</a>.
“Why do you feel like abortion is only OK when it’s a very hard decision, when it’s something that women have to struggle with going through, when it’s emotionally or physically painful?” she went on. “Why does that make it morally superior to someone just wanting an abortion for whatever reason? Why is it only morally OK when women have to suffer? Now riddle me that.&#8221;
&#8220;It doesn’t have to be taboo,&#8221; Larsson insisted. &#8220;It doesn’t have to be this bad thing that women do&#8230; if we speak about it in a casual manner, that also makes [it easier for] the women who go through it and who are actually suffering through it,” she concluded. “So let’s just make more jokes. Abortion is healthcare, what can I say.”
Social media commenters, meanwhile, were not amused.
&#8220;Speaking about babies this way is demonic. The normalization of abortion’s violence is evil, and it exposes that the Left only cares that babies continue to die,&#8221; Students for Life of America <a href="https://x.com/StudentsforLife/status/2029274545149129153">shared</a> on X.
“Millions of little girls look up to Zara Larsson… and this is the example she’s setting for them. Utterly grim,” another commenter <a href="https://x.com/SamanthaTaghoy/status/2029088093077221683">agreed</a>.
“No one is celebrating abortion,” The Daily Wire host Isabel Brown mockingly <a href="https://x.com/theisabelb/status/2029019186022813930">wrote</a>, repeating a popular false assertion among the pro-abortion crowd.
Larsson started gaining recognition in American pop culture after figure skater Alysa Liu, who won the nation’s first gold medal in women’s singles since 2002, skated to her song &#8220;Stateside&#8221; at the 2026 Winter Olympics. 
The singer has been outspoken about politics, revealing her anti-Israel stance and support for left-wing causes on multiple occasions. Despite being Swedish, she has a lot to say about American politics. 
The singer wrote on her Instagram story in January, “I love immigrants, I love criminals, I love trans people, I love abortions, I love queers, I love slutty women, I love contraception, I love welfare, I love socialism, I f***ing hate ICE.”
“IDK about yall but I’d rather have someone smoking crack on my couch than a f***ing ICE agent ewwwwwwwwww,” she wrote in a follow-up, per <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2026/01/10/zara-larsson-loves-criminals-hates-ice/">TMZ</a>. 
The White House’s official TikTok responded with a video mocking her. The post included footage of Donald Trump and had Larsson’s song “Lush Life” playing as phrases appeared, including, “We love America First … We love deportations … We love cheap gas prices … We love a secure border … We love world peace … We love law and order … We love work not welfare … WE LOVE ICE and our law enforcement!”
