Students typically go to college to pursue higher education grounded in eternal principles, aiming to understand the good, the true, and the beautiful. Now they can also get abortions.
Many schools across the country are providing abortion pills on campus for students, allowing them to kill their babies still in the womb. What’s even more depressing is the fact that many of these institutions are being forced to offer these life-ending drugs due to state law.
How do pill abortions work? As Planned Parenthood <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/learn/abortion/the-abortion-pill">describes</a>, it starts with the patient taking mifepristone, which blocks necessary nutrients from getting to the “pregnancy.” Then a second pill, misoprostol, is taken shortly afterward, which causes cramping and bleeding to empty the woman’s uterus, describing it as “very similar to an early miscarriage.”
It should be noted that most abortions in the formal healthcare system are now carried out through “medication,” with <a href="https://www.guttmacher.org/2024/03/medication-abortion-accounted-63-all-us-abortions-2023-increase-53-2020?utm_source=chatgpt.com">63%</a> of all abortions in 2023 done by pill, adding up to 642,700. For a student, this would likely be done in a shared dorm or restroom, with little to no support.
Despite the fact that this “treatment” aims at killing a child and has also been proven to occasionally have injurious, if not deadly, consequences for the women using it, the Colorado legislature has deemed this “necessary” for student safety.
For example, Colorado Governor Jared Polis recently signed <a href="https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/HB26-1335">House Bill 1335</a>, requiring academic institutions with a health center to provide abortion medication to all students starting in August of next year. Although there is a religious exemption clause, many schools will begin stocking shelves with these drugs.
However, this practice has been developing for almost a decade. In 2019, Governor Gavin Newsom signed the first <a href="https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billTextClient.xhtml?bill_id=201920200SB24">bill</a> of this kind, mandating that all public colleges in California offer the drugs. It applies to over 30 campuses and hundreds of thousands of female students.
The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) advertises this service <a href="https://www.studenthealth.ucla.edu/services/medab">online</a>, telling students, “Medication abortion services are now available at The Ashe Center for pregnancies up to 70 days (10 weeks).” Littered with Planned Parenthood graphics, instructions, and directions to the clinic, it aims to make killing one’s child as supportive as possible. <a href="https://studenthealth.ucr.edu/womens-health">UC Riverside</a> even states “medications will be mailed directly to the patient for secure delivery,” with virtual follow-ups scheduled shortly after.
In fiscal year 2024-2025 alone, the 10 University of California campuses facilitated a total of 297 chemical abortions, receiving $2,492,326.63 in reimbursements from the College Student Right to Access Act grant, according to the <a href="https://women.ca.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/96/2025/12/2025-College-Student-Right-to-Access-Act-FINAL.pdf">2025 Report</a> of the California Commission on the Status of Women &amp; Girls.
New York is even worse, as a <a href="https://www.nysenate.gov/legislation/bills/2023/S1213/amendment/B">bill</a> signed by Governor Kathy Hochul in 2023 mandates “every campus of the state university of New York and every campus of the city university of New York provide access to medication abortion.” Senate Bill S1214B provides this access to campuses, including the Fashion Institute of Technology, which is <a href="https://www.fitnyc.edu/about/required-information/right-to-know/enrollment-data.php">81% female</a>.
As of 2022, Massachusetts has also signed an <a href="https://malegislature.gov/Bills/192/H5090">extreme bill</a> establishing a separate fund called the Public University Health Center Sexual and Reproductive Health Preparation Fund to assist in medication abortion readiness. It is administered by the Department of Public Health and tasked with providing grants to pay for the cost of direct and indirect medication abortion readiness, prioritizing schools. It pays for elements including equipment, facility and security upgrades, telehealth services, staff abortion training, and billing specialist consultation.
It applies to public community colleges, state universities, and the University of Massachusetts campuses. <a href="https://www.liveaction.org/news/mandated-taxpayer-funded-college-campuses-abortion-drugs">Live Action News</a> discovered that one of these campuses, Salem State University, <a href="https://ask.salemstate.edu/kb/medication-abortion-salem-state">offers</a> the abortion pill up to 11 weeks of pregnancy, which is after the <a href="https://www.fda.gov/drugs/postmarket-drug-safety-information-patients-and-providers/information-about-mifepristone-medical-termination-pregnancy-through-ten-weeks-gestation">FDA-approved</a> 10-week gestational limit.
Another state to pass similar legislation is Illinois, whose Governor JB Pritzker signed <a href="https://www.ilga.gov/Legislation/BillStatus?DocTypeID=HB&amp;DocNum=3709&amp;GAID=18&amp;SessionID=114&amp;LegID=162529&amp;emci=5882b2bd-4e7f-f011-b484-6045bdeb7413&amp;emdi=ea000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000001&amp;ceid=%257B%257BContactsEmailID%257D%257D">House Bill 3709</a>, requiring each public institution of higher education with student health services to provide students with access to medication abortion, which started this past school year.
These services can be provided through health services, telehealth, or other licensed external providers, but all schools with a pharmacy must provide them in person. It names schools, including the University of Illinois, Illinois State University, and Northeastern Illinois University, as participants.
Other states, such as Delaware, Connecticut, Maryland, and Vermont, have <a href="https://www.liveaction.org/news/mandated-taxpayer-funded-college-campuses-abortion-drugs">less stringent laws</a>, requiring “abortion access” in broader terms.
On the West Coast, <a href="https://senatedemocrats.wa.gov/nobles/2026/01/15/nobles-bill-expanding-access-to-medication-abortion-at-public-colleges-universities-heard-in-committee/">Washington</a> is currently considering a <a href="https://app.leg.wa.gov/billsummary?BillNumber=5826&amp;Year=2025&amp;Initiative=False">bill</a> that would “require public colleges and universities to provide students with access to medication abortion services through student health centers or coordinated referral and telehealth options.” It would start in the 2027-2028 academic year and apply to public four-year institutions, community and technical colleges, and other public postsecondary institutions.
While legislation like this might come as a surprise to some, I don’t see why.
It’s been evident for years that most of modern academia is a hotbed for leftist ideology and liberal professors. And since abortion is one of the top priorities of the modern Left and is advertised as a human right and a freeing act, it slowly seeps into students’ malleable minds.
The numbers show that in 2025, there were an estimated 1.1 million abortions provided by U.S. clinicians, according to the pro-abortion <a href="https://www.guttmacher.org/fact-sheet/induced-abortion-united-states">Guttmacher Institute.</a> Most importantly, the abortion rate for women aged 15-44 was 16.7 per 1,000, a stunning sum.
The more colleges discuss the topic and masquerade taking a life-ending drug as a responsible act, the more of it you will have, and the greater the uproar will be when it is outlawed.
Abortion has even infiltrated segments of American culture, with movies like Unpregnant (2020) depicting abortion as a necessary evil, causing teenagers to cross state lines to receive one. There are even social media videos showing young mothers promoting it with celebration and applause, or justifying it on the grounds of unforeseen illnesses that could have complicated the child&#8217;s life.
What makes abortion-enticing laws so immoral is not only the fact that they give students more access to this, but also the fact that they promote more premarital sex and the “hookup culture,” which often ruins people’s lives and promotes chaotic relationships. Why do prominent institutions and state legislatures feel the need to pervert an academic environment into something hedonistic and deadly?
As I said at the beginning of this article, college is a place for students to learn about important topics that will not only assist their professional careers but also teach them how to be good, responsible adults and citizens. But being a citizen starts with the family, the prime building block of a community, and if students continue to be sexualized and then given a “quick fix” through abortion, our nation will shortly forget what it means to live the good life and rot in our carnal pleasures.

Jesse Ridgway — the YouTube &#8220;influencer&#8221; who sparked a national firestorm after revealing he and his wife terminated their pregnancy because the baby had Down syndrome — has a skeleton rattling loudly in his closet.
Nine years ago, the social media star posted a video where he gleefully impersonated a person with Down syndrome, complete with a mocking voice and crude physical mannerisms. <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2026/06/10/jesse-ridgway-video-mocking-special-needs-people-years-before-abortion-backlash/">TMZ</a> obtained the footage, and it&#8217;s not pretty.
The clip comes from Ridgway&#8217;s old series &#8220;The Devil Inside,&#8221; a 45-minute production in which his character is forced at gunpoint to rapidly cycle through different personalities. Near the end, when his character&#8217;s brain supposedly &#8220;fries,&#8221; Ridgway slips into a stereotypical caricature of someone with Down syndrome — the exact condition that would later lead him to abort his own child.
When confronted about the clip, Ridgway went full artiste, insisting, &#8220;I play a character named Isaac Kalder who has hijacked Jesse Ridgway’s life. My family is pissed so they hold me at gunpoint and force me to switch characters rapidly. The identity switches happen too fast and it fries my brain.&#8221; Translation: It&#8217;s not mockery; it&#8217;s cinema.

The revelation lands like a sledgehammer given what came later in Ridgway&#8217;s life. Just days ago, the YouTuber — who boasts over four million subscribers — <a href="https://x.com/McJuggerNuggets/status/2062315803177881822" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> on X that he and his wife, Ashley, terminated their pregnancy after a trisomy 21 diagnosis. He said he initially hoped he could &#8220;make it work&#8221; if the baby was just &#8220;a little slow intellectually,&#8221; but concluded the condition would be too hard on the child and family. He capped the announcement with a pointed &#8220;Thankfully, we had a choice.&#8221;
The internet <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/youtube-star-ends-life-of-unborn-child-after-down-syndrome-diagnosis?utm_source=chatgpt.com">erupted.</a> Pro-life advocates, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), and thousands of others blasted the couple. Johnson <a href="https://x.com/SpeakerJohnson/status/2062864877471797445">declared</a> that &#8220;every single person has inestimable dignity and value&#8221; regardless of health condition. Former ESPN anchor Sage Steele was <a href="https://x.com/sagesteele/status/2062743081602990214">more blunt</a>: &#8220;You CHOSE to abort your baby &#8230; You ARE NOT A VICTIM. This is narcissism at its finest.&#8221;
The death threats followed — which Ridgway has been vocal about — but sympathy has been hard to come by, particularly after his response to critics who asked what if his parents had aborted him. His response? &#8220;But, I&#8217;m normal.&#8221;
Normal. That was his word. The same guy who mocked Down syndrome on camera, then aborted his child for having it, wants you to know he&#8217;s the normal one.
Worth noting: between 350,000 and 400,000 Americans currently live with Down syndrome — and studies <a href="https://lozierinstitute.org/improving-joyful-lives-societys-response-to-difference-and-disability">show</a> they report high levels of life satisfaction. At least 67% of Down syndrome diagnoses in the U.S. end in abortion.
Jesse Ridgway has not backed down.
Neither has the backlash.

YouTuber Jesse Ridgeway, who goes by McJuggerNuggets to his over 4 million subscribers, has sparked heated debates over the last week after announcing that he and his wife had chosen to get an abortion. The couple recorded themselves explaining that decision after discovering the unborn child had a high likelihood of being born with Down syndrome.
The pro-life crowd rightfully called out this evil for what it is: eugenics. Even some leftists seemed to grapple with the larger ramifications, with several X commenters expressing their cognitive dissonance that abortion on demand for any reason is good, but also people with disabilities should be protected.
Ridgeway <a href="https://x.com/McJuggerNuggets/status/2062315803177881822">said</a> when he first found out the baby may have Down syndrome, he was &#8220;optimistic&#8221; and would try to &#8220;make it work&#8221; if the child was just &#8220;a little slow intellectually.&#8221; But he decided against it. &#8220;I just didn&#8217;t fully understand what Down syndrome entailed,&#8221; he explained. &#8220;I didn&#8217;t realize just how rough it is for the child, let alone the family … more often than not, they would be fully dependent on others for the rest of their life.&#8221;
The one thing no one seems to be talking about is how Ridgeway opened up a conversation that should be seen as a gift to the pro-life argument. That is, he exposed the reality of why abortions are happening, and it’s not the extreme situations that so often dominate headlines.
Pro-abortion advocates would love for the general public to picture abortions happening only when the baby was going to die anyway, or when the woman was raped, or very, very early in a pregnancy when the fetus was supposedly nothing more than a meaningless clump of cells. For years, pro-lifers have pushed back on that narrative with facts and reason. But it took a random YouTuber to show the reality of who is getting abortions and why.
Per the National Library of Medicine, the most <a href="https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3729671/?shem=rimspwouoe,">common reasons</a> women seek abortion include “financial reasons (40%), timing (36%), partner related reasons (31%), and the need to focus on other children (29%). Most women reported multiple reasons for seeking an abortion crossing over several themes (64%).&#8221;
Studies show that at least 67% of babies diagnosed with Down syndrome in the United States are aborted. In Iceland, there are almost no cases of Down syndrome because those who have it are killed before they have the chance to be born.
Between 350,000 and 400,000 Americans have Down syndrome, meaning they were born with an extra chromosome. When polled, these individuals consistently say they are satisfied with their life and were happy they were born, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/youtube-star-ends-life-of-unborn-child-after-down-syndrome-diagnosis">reported</a>. 
The Ridgeways going viral for the killing of their unborn child has prompted parents, siblings, and friends of people living with Down syndrome to post stories of why their lives are amazing. They speak of challenges, yes, but also of a surprising joy that can only come from accepting reality. People of faith would call this following God’s plan. However, even non-religious people can understand the futility in trying to control the world and the peace that comes from embracing life as it comes. 
It also points to a larger question: Who is qualified to determine what makes a life worth living? 
Stories such as the Ridgeways&#8217; are gleefully held up by the pro-abortion crowd as proof of why abortion should exist. But this viral Down syndrome story is a bridge too far for many people who recognize that Trisomy 21 isn’t life-limiting enough to warrant a death sentence. They are pointing out how people with Down syndrome are often the happiest individuals they know. Why do they deserve to die for being “differently abled,” as progressives would say?
I used to have a distant acquaintance who was an ob-gyn who performed abortions. We would get into surface-level debates all the time about abortion. I will never forget the one time she conceded to me on one point: sex-selective abortions. She recalled a time her patient, who only wanted two children, came into her office to schedule a second-term abortion after finding out she was pregnant with a second girl. “All I could think about was this woman’s adorable toddler, with blonde curls and big eyes, and think she was making a huge mistake terminating a healthy pregnancy,” she told me.
Even someone participating in such an evil act had a moral standard. Most Americans who believe abortion should be legal also have lines they won&#8217;t cross, which are commonly determined by gestational age. But the thing about lines is that they are incredibly arbitrary. If we tell mothers only to abort for life-limiting medical reasons, then who gets to decide what counts as life-limiting? 
Ridgeway has made it clear that the real justifications people give for abortion — Down syndrome, my boyfriend broke up with me, I wanted a boy instead, I’m just really tired — are flimsy excuses when it comes down to it. Abortion is never the right choice. Now that the reasons it keeps happening are out in the open, we can start having honest conversations about it.

He Thought He Was Defending Abortion. Instead, He Exposed It.

A big story that lit the internet on fire is the story of Jesse Ridgway, who is known online as McJuggerNuggets.
He’s a 33-year-old YouTuber, filmmaker, actor, and director from New Jersey with 4 million subscribers. Back in March, Ridgway and his wife, Ashley, announced their first pregnancy with a pretty excited post. On April 8, they put out an ultrasound video.
We are big fans of ultrasounds, specifically because many women don&#8217;t recognize what is growing inside them. That’s because they&#8217;ve been lied to. And this is why we team with pro-life organizations to provide ultrasounds for women who are pregnant and considering whether to abort their baby.
On June 3, Jesse then posted a detailed statement on X, reposted by his wife, announcing that they had killed the baby in utero, which is what abortion is.
He wrote:
<blockquote>This week, my wife and I made the very difficult decision to terminate the pregnancy due to Trisomy 21. The choice was not made lightly. We really appreciate all of the personal stories that you guys shared with us, especially the unconditional support we received from fans no matter what we decided. I know some of you may be very disappointed to hear this news. 
We are devastated. This has been extremely traumatic for both of us, especially Ashley. She underwent the procedure earlier this week and is on the mend. Thankfully, everything went smoothly, but emotionally we are drained. Trisomy 21, also known as Down Syndrome, is caused by an extra chromosome. It is caused by an error in cell division, like a glitch. The odds of a baby having it is 1 in 1000. When I first confronted this news, I was shocked but optimistic. If they’re a little slow intellectually, then we’ll make it work. I signed on to be a parent, come what may…but I just didn’t fully understand what Down Syndrome entailed. 
Once we made it public, it became clear that MOST people don’t know what Down Syndrome entails (and no, it’s not the same as Autism): 50% of babies with DS have heart defects. 75% will have hearing challenges. Over 50% will have vision problems. Impaired immune function, developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, delayed physical development, poor muscle tone, structural issues with face, decreased lifespan, etc…Sadly, the list is long, feel free to look it up…
Down Syndome isn’t a “blessing”, it is objectively sh*tty from a health perspective. I didn’t realize just how rough it is for the child, let alone the family…more often than not, they would be fully dependent on others for the rest of their life. The miscarriage risk is also close to 50%, which made matters worse…they may never see the light of day and it puts Ashley further at risk. We spoke with doctors, friends, family and genetic counselors and learned that up to 90% of women terminate their pregnancy after learning the baby has Trisomy 21. This was WAY higher than I expected, I thought it would be lower given that I hear so many say they kept or would keep the baby. 
I believe that’s because most terminations happen privately, it feels shameful. A lot of judgment being cast. You never think you’d be in this type of situation until it happens to you and then things change. To all of my fans who have weighed in on this topic who have Autism, Down Syndrome or any other conditions…we appreciate you. You matter a lot and we’re glad you’re here. I commend you and your families for having the strength and courage to push forward. As for us, we made a difficult decision that we believe in the long-run will be beneficial for our family. Thankfully, we had a choice. It will take a little time to move on, but we are excited to try again in the future and hopefully have a better outcome. Love you guys &amp; thank you for understanding.</blockquote>
This is disturbing stuff.
Now, to pretend that every parent doesn&#8217;t wish for, hope for, and pray for a healthy child is silly. I thank God I have four healthy children and a fifth — with the help of God — on the way.

When you make the decision to get pregnant, this is obviously part of the calculation, because what is very clear from this entire story is that, from the very beginning, it was acknowledged as a human life.
The ultrasound was done and they were excited. They weren’t excited because there was no human value.
Not only that, this post demonstrates why his wife is devastated: This is not a meaningless cluster of cells. It is a preborn child. That is why it&#8217;s devastating.
Once you understand that there is a moral component to the life of that child, killing the child becomes immoral.
That doesn&#8217;t mean that morality is easy. Morality is not easy. Morality is very often incredibly difficult. That doesn&#8217;t mean life is always wonderful, beautiful, or simple.
It does mean that doing the moral thing is required, whether or not it is difficult, and the only person in this scenario who really pays the price is the child. Was that child&#8217;s life not worth living? That is the actual presumption: that if you have all of these conditions, it&#8217;s better if the child is never born.
This is immoral. What makes it even more immoral and absurd is that the same YouTuber had put out a post earlier this year talking about their dog being diagnosed with stage-four kidney disease last year. He wrote:

If we were lucky, maybe a few months. ONE YEAR LATER. She is still fighting. She is in the .0001% of superhero dogs that can continue living with no kidneys. We all need a hero in this life. Jenny has been one of mine.</blockquote>
First: I have a dog. Second: Dogs are great.
But a dog will never feel the way a human feels about life; a dog will never have the life experiences a human does.
This disconnect is about convenience. I&#8217;m not going to pretend that convenience is an unimportant factor in life. It obviously is.
But sacrifice and morality are about sacrifice and morality.
Every child is a blessing. But that doesn&#8217;t mean all blessings are easy. We have this bizarre notion in our society that everything in your life is either all good or all bad, either all easy or all hard, and that hard equals bad and easy equals good.
That&#8217;s not true. I have friends who have children with issues like Down syndrome, and it requires a lot from them. Sometimes it puts them on the verge of true, serious hardship.
That&#8217;s why they are heroes for doing it.
But being heroic means standing up for morality even when it&#8217;s hard. If we have a world full of people who simply dispose of babies for convenience, there is something truly evil happening on a societal level.
When he says, “We really appreciate all of the personal stories that you guys shared with us, especially the unconditional support we received from fans with no matter what we decided,” you cannot make a decision about another person&#8217;s life and be supported in that decision when it horribly affects that other person&#8217;s life.
The entire premise of this story, all of it, soup to nuts, is that this was a child. Otherwise, this would have no relevance to anyone.
That is the buried lede. Everyone is affected emotionally by this particular story because there was an ultrasound, and it showed a baby, a human life with potential, and everyone recognizes it.
If this were just the removal of a polyp, no one would care on either side. They also put out a video that showed them finding out that their child had trisomy 21.
The reason that we&#8217;re commenting on this issue is that it&#8217;s public. They are the ones who made this public in the first place. And so it became an issue of public controversy.
There may be a lot of people saying today, “It&#8217;s a private issue.”
I think we all have something to say when someone does something morally wrong, and when it becomes a matter of public controversy, we certainly have something to say about it, because it’s a comment on what society&#8217;s standards are. And societal standards should protect human life, because otherwise people make decisions not based on the independent interests of human life with potential; they make decisions based on what they believe their lifestyle will be and how their life will be affected by that thing.
That&#8217;s why you have moral rules and standards in the first place.

A popular YouTube star sparked backlash after making a disturbing announcement on social media that he and his wife ended the life of their unborn child after finding out the child may be born with Down syndrome. 
Jesse Ridgway, who has over four million subscribers on YouTube, made the announcement on Wednesday that he and his wife aborted their baby because of the Down syndrome diagnosis. The post prompted a strong response from pro-life activists and even House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), who said the child&#8217;s life had value despite the medical diagnosis. 
“This week, my wife and I made the very difficult decision to terminate the pregnancy due to Trisomy 21,” Ridgway <a href="https://x.com/McJuggerNuggets/status/2062315803177881822">posted</a> on X. “The choice was not made lightly. We really appreciate all of the personal stories that you guys shared with us, especially the unconditional support we received from fans with no matter what we decided.”

When learning the child may be born with Down syndrome, Ridgway said he first was &#8220;optimistic&#8221; that they could “make it work” if the child was just “a little slow intellectually.” 
“But I just didn’t fully understand what Down syndrome entailed,” he said. “I didn’t realize just how rough it is for the child, let alone the family … more often than not, they would be fully dependent on others for the rest of their life.”
Between 350,000 and 400,000 Americans have Down syndrome, meaning they were born with an extra chromosome. When polled, these individuals <a href="https://lozierinstitute.org/improving-joyful-lives-societys-response-to-difference-and-disability/">consistently say</a> they are satisfied with their life and were happy they were born. 
Studies generally show that at least 67% of babies diagnosed with Down syndrome in the United States are aborted. In Iceland, there are almost no cases of Down syndrome because all those who would have been born with it were killed in the womb. Some Republicans <a href="https://estes.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=5906">have pushed</a> for protections to prohibit Down syndrome-based abortions. 
Back in April, Ridgway posted an ultrasound picture of his child, writing, “first look at the little nugget.”

Ridgway referred to the death of his unborn child as a “difficult decision that we believe in the long-run will be beneficial for our family&#8221; and appeared to make a political statement by adding, &#8220;Thankfully, we had a choice.&#8221; 
In response to that post, many pro-life advocates pointed out the wonderful lives that many of those with Down syndrome live. 
“Because God made us all in His image, it means EVERY SINGLE PERSON has inestimable DIGNITY and VALUE — and our value is not related in any way to the color of our skin, what zip code we live in, what our talents are, our health condition, or any other factor,” Speaker Johnson <a href="https://x.com/SpeakerJohnson/status/2062864877471797445">said</a>. “Our value is inherent, because it is given to us by our loving Heavenly Father.”
“When a culture devolves to the point of depravity where ‘influencers’ can go online and so casually dismiss the deliberate murder of their own precious child, the survival of that culture itself is at risk,” he added. 
Kelsey Pritchard, the communications director for SBA Pro-Life America, told The Daily Wire that she hoped Ridgway and his wife would realize the value of all human life.
&#8220;I hope someday they wake up and realize, and the humanity of the unborn children and the humanity of people who have Down syndrome, because, honestly, we should feel bad for them, because they just robbed themselves of a lot of joy that they otherwise would have had they allowed this child to live,&#8221; she said.
She said that the cultural acceptance of targeting people with disabilities was a result of an abortion-saturated culture.
&#8220;I think it&#8217;s just evidence too of how stripping away the right to life for the unborn, it leads to this stripping away of the dignity of the human being, and bleeds into these other areas, like people with disabilities,&#8221; Pritchard said. &#8220;We know the slippery slope that exists when you start taking people&#8217;s rights away, and you dehumanize a whole class of humans.&#8221;
After the negative response to his announcement, Ridgway <a href="https://x.com/McJuggerNuggets/status/2062706211787571502">said</a> that he had “never seen such hate and vitriol for two people grieving the loss of their unborn child and making an impossible decision” and claimed he had received death threats. 
He also said he was surprised that his announcement of ending the life of his unborn child to his 345,000 followers on X was “newsworthy.”
Many pro-life advocates responded by noting that Ridgway and his wife decided to end the life of their child.

You two didn’t suffer a miscarriage or a stillbirth like millions of couples do every year,” <a href="https://x.com/sagesteele/status/2062743081602990214">said</a> former ESPN anchor Sage Steele. “You CHOSE to abort your baby. And then you CHOSE to announce it publicly. YOU ARE NOT A VICTIM. This is narcissism at its finest.”

Making faith a center point of his Senate campaign, James Talarico says he doesn’t want to “claim” Jesus for the Democratic Party. Yet the woke church that molded him uses Christ to justify support for abortion, transgender procedures on kids, and protesting immigration enforcement.
A review of Talarico’s Texas church and its activist pastor — who Talarico calls a “mentor” — shows how closely his political views have been shaped by a leftist conception of Christianity. These positions, such as the promotion of abortion and acceptance of transgenderism, put Talarico at odds with many of the Texas voters the media have suggested could be amenable to the Democrat’s religious pitch against Republican Ken Paxton. 
Talarico’s church, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian in Austin, has pushed leftist activism for years while undermining traditional Christian beliefs such as the historical resurrection of Jesus. The church’s theological and political positions face scrutiny as Talarico looks to become the first Democrat to win statewide office in Texas for decades on a platform of defeating Christian nationalism and removing faith from “partisan politics.” 
“I&#8217;ve been the chief opponent of Christian nationalism in the Texas legislature. I believe the separation of church and state is a sacred boundary that doesn&#8217;t just protect the state, but also protects the church,” Talarico told religious leaders during a podcast earlier this year. “I&#8217;m trying not to claim Jesus for the Democratic Party. I&#8217;m trying to wrestle away Jesus from partisan politics.”
From a review of the church&#8217;s website, one would hardly guess that Talarico is interested in a non-partisan Jesus. St. Andrew’s, whose webpage features a cross draped in an LGBTQ flag, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/this-book-is-gay-read-the-sexually-explicit-volumes-james-talaricos-church-gives-kids">maintains</a> a “banned books” library filled with sexually explicit material aimed at young people and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/james-talaricos-church-funds-abortions-trans-summer-camps">donates</a> part of its annual budget to abortion giant Planned Parenthood.

In the name of <a href="https://www.staopen.org/inclusive-language">inclusivity</a>, Talarico’s church avoids referring to God as “Father” as Christians have done for thousands of years. Instead, the church recommends using “non-gendered” language for God. 
“Inclusive language, when used to refer to God, is non-gendered. Therefore, God is not referred to as ‘He’ or ‘Father’, nor as ‘She’ or ‘Mother,’” the church’s website says. 
This contradicts the Bible’s description of Jesus’ instructions to his disciples to refer to God as “our Father” when praying. In the biblical Gospels, Jesus refers to God as “Father” well over 100 times. 
The “Inclusive Bible” used by St. Andrew’s makes awkward gender revisions. The version changes the Lord’s Prayer, one of the most beloved and ancient Christian prayers, from “our Father who art in heaven” to “our Father-Mother in heaven.” 
Talarico appears to have adopted this belief during his time in the legislature, saying that “God is non-binary” while arguing against a Texas law keeping males out of female sports. 
In addition to not calling God &#8220;Father,&#8221; St. Andrew&#8217;s avoids referring to Jesus as “king,” as Christians have done for thousands of years. 
“When referring to God, we do not use the words ‘King’ and ‘Lord,’ because that would make God male,” the church says on its website. “When referring to Jesus, we do not use ‘king’ and ‘lord,’ because it hints at a hierarchy that we believe Jesus repudiated.”
&#8220;To say that our divine source is male is perhaps the most sexist comment a person can make,” the inclusive language guide says. “To equate the Almighty with masculinity might or might not hurt a particular victim of abuse, but it will definitely teach a view of life where our little girls will be more likely to be abused in the future.&#8221;
Many of the heterodox positions taken at St. Andrew&#8217;s come from Jim Rigby, Talarico’s “mentor” and a pastor at the church. In addition to his leftist political positions, he diverts from historic Christian belief that Jesus rose from the dead in a historic event called the resurrection. 
In a Christmas Day Facebook <a href="https://www.facebook.com/jim.rigby.12/posts/957972940944180">post</a> from 2015, Rigby suggested that resurrection could actually be understood as “a poem about the whole life process.”
“Apparently, because I don&#8217;t believe in a literal resurrection, I&#8217;m not really Christian. This unfortunately also means I won&#8217;t be going to heaven with many of you,” he said, adding that he was told by a Christian that “we have to LITERALLY believe Jesus&#8217; corpse got up. If you believe all the above you will get to be with God in heaven. Let&#8217;s just hope God has a handle on that anger problem by now.”
Talarico, who <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2026/06/01/us/politics/james-talarico-christian.html">told the</a> New York Times that he believes in a historical resurrection unlike his mentor, said his faith is a “biblical Christianity.” 
Despite this difference of opinion, Talarico greatly credits Rigby for his worldview and closely mirrors his political positions. 
“Our pastor, Dr. Jim Rigby, who I&#8217;ve known since I was 2 years old, he married my parents. He baptized me,” Talarico said during a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4832vfsmf4">podcast</a>. “He is still my pastor today. And he showed me what it means to act with courage from the pulpit.”
In 2023, Rigby and St. Andrew’s <a href="https://spectrumlocalnews.com/tx/south-texas-el-paso/news/2023/01/17/social-justice-sermons">worked</a> to oppose legislation supported by Texas Republicans to shield kids from transgender procedures. 
“Anyone who preaches hate in Jesus’ name and we remain silent, then we are complicit,” Rigby said during the time of his involvement in the campaign against a bill to protect kids from puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and gender surgeries. 
Talarico has taken a similar approach as a state lawmaker. He <a href="https://journals.house.texas.gov/HJRNL/88R/PDF/88RDAY63FINAL.PDF">voted against</a> the 2023 law that protected kids from transgender surgeries and cross-sex hormone procedures.
Talarico also <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CVD-Gi-FbWh/?hl=en&amp;img_index=3">attacked</a> Republicans for passing a bill in October 2021 keeping males out of female sports.
“Texas Republicans have passed their anti-trans bill. Over and over, Christians used scripture to justify bullying trans kids,” he said at the time. “I told them in my faith, God is non-binary.”
Abortion is another issue where Talarico closely follows Rigby. In 2016, Rigby cited the so-called &#8220;constitutional right to an abortion” in an <a href="https://www.houstonchronicle.com/opinion/outlook/article/Rigby-New-fetal-remains-rule-is-a-Trojan-Horse-10689637.php">op-ed</a> lamenting proposals requiring the dignified burial of fetal remains and ultrasounds before ending the life of their unborn child. 
“It is chilling to witness politicians overriding science and medicine to impose their own beliefs on women,” he wrote. “The real reason politicians are pushing this seems to be the belief that a soul enters the body at conception, therefore making the fertilized human egg the moral equivalent to a fully gestated human being.”
Unlike many Christians, Rigby said he disagreed with that position. 
“Where is the religious freedom for the millions of us who believe that women&#8217;s bodies are not community property simply because they get pregnant? Where is the religious freedom for those of us who respect the moral agency of women?” he wrote. 
St. Andrew’s is a “reproductive freedom congregation,” meaning that it <a href="https://justtx.org/rfc/">affirms</a> that abortion is a “blessing” and a “moral and social good.” 
Talarico, running on a platform of enshrining Roe v. Wade into federal law, argues that Christianity is silent on abortion and actually supports the life-ending procedure. He grounds his support for abortion in the biblical account of an angel visiting the Virgin Mary and telling her that she would miraculously conceive and give birth to Jesus Christ. 
“I say all this in the context of abortion, because before God comes over Mary, and we have the incarnation, God asks for Mary’s consent,” he said during an appearance on the Joe Rogan podcast. “You cannot force someone to create … so that’s how I come down on that side of the issue.”
In 2016, St. Andrew’s became part of a <a href="https://www.texasobserver.org/faith-leaders-pledge-offer-sanctuary-immigrants-facing-deportation/">movement</a> of woke churches offering to shelter illegal immigrants, and Rigby was <a href="https://www.fox7austin.com/news/pulpit-to-soapbox-austin-preacher-wants-immigration-reform">arrested</a> for trespassing inside the state capitol in 2017 while protesting a proposed law targeting sanctuary city policies. 
If elected, Talarico says he will go after ICE and ban them from shielding their identity while conducting operations. 
“We have to ban ICE agents from wearing masks, from kidnapping people off our streets without a warrant,” he said on a podcast. “We have to require them to identify themselves like any law enforcement official. And we have to end this policy of mass deportations that again is terrorizing our communities across Texas and across this country.”
Another issue that has plagued the Talarico campaign is the question of veganism. While he once boasted about having a meat-free campaign, he now says he proudly consumes Texas barbecue. His church <a href="https://www.staopen.org/earth-care">encourages</a> people to “eat a plant based diet for the planet’s health and yours.”

I work in healthcare. I’ve spent my adult life caring for vulnerable people. I never imagined I would become one myself.
I also never imagined the man I trusted, who took an oath to “Do No Harm,” would harm my life forever.
At first, my ex-boyfriend seemed normal, calm, and successful. We bonded over our jobs in healthcare. We laughed a lot and built what I believed was a genuine relationship.
But the person I thought I knew didn’t exist.
A few months into our relationship, I found out I was pregnant. The moment I told him, everything changed. His calm demeanor disappeared.
That was when his secrets spilled. He revealed he was still legally married.
Then he commanded I abort our child. He spoke obsessively about appearances, his family, and his future career. He repeatedly pushed for an abortion.
I firmly said, “No.”
&#8220;You don’t have to be involved,” I said. I was financially stable and able to raise a child on my own.
Days went by, and then his apology came.
I was shocked; he had completely changed. He was saying he would be the man I needed him to be, and he wouldn’t fight against our baby. He offered acts of kindness. He even started getting me hot chocolates daily. Little did I know that he was slowly poisoning our baby and me with the abortion drugs he’d bought online using his ex-wife&#8217;s information.
Tragically, that wasn&#8217;t even the worst of it.
After going to bed one night, I woke up around four in the morning feeling like someone was staring. He was awake, hovering over me. Then, in a flash, he pinned me down and forced crushed abortion drugs into my mouth. I knew what he’d done.
As someone in healthcare, I understood how quickly these crushed drugs would absorb through my gums.
I fought him off and ran to call 911. He took my cell and my keys, blocking me from leaving. I rushed to the kitchen, trying to rinse the powder from my mouth. But he continued to restrain me, buying each minute for the drugs to do their intended purpose of killing our kid.
He kept yelling the same things at me: “My father will cut me off. My family will be ashamed. My career will be ruined.”
At no point did he show concern for our child or for me.
When he assumed the drugs had sufficiently aborted our baby, he returned my belongings, and I went straight to the hospital.
After arriving, I began hemorrhaging. Blood was everywhere. The ER staff had to clean me and change the sheets because it was so severe. And the trauma didn’t end there. The medical staff had to support me through the tragedy of miscarrying my child in front of them.
Then the police came. Detectives found crushed drugs and recovered evidence that corroborated my account.
Today, my <a href="https://people.com/ohio-surgeon-got-abortion-pills-using-wife-information-force-fed-one-pregnant-girlfriend-bed-11970700">ex-boyfriend has been charged</a> with this crime and pleaded no contest. He’s lost his medical license but could still avoid prison time altogether. A terrifying fact that haunts me. But this story is much bigger than mine.
What happened to me is a reality that should terrify every American.
I had no idea that these abortion drugs could be obtained online with no oversight, no in-person exam, no safeguards, no follow-ups. Just a man on a computer in the comfort of his home using his ex-wife&#8217;s information to order these drugs and have them arrive at his doorstep two days later.
People can argue endlessly about abortion, but no woman should fear being drugged against her will. No woman should wake up to someone forcing abortion drugs down her throat.
What happened to me violated every principle of healthcare.
I’m speaking out for the first time because silence protects people who commit acts like this. And, unfortunately, I’m one of many women harmed by these mail-order drugs.
Look at <a href="https://adflegal.org/article/rosalie-markezich-story/">Rosalie Markezich in Louisiana,</a> who lived a nightmare like mine. Now she&#8217;s suing the FDA because her ex-boyfriend ordered the drugs online and pressured her to take them. All because the FDA removed basic safety rules that required in-person visits.
Our leaders need to take women’s safety seriously, not just for me, but for anyone who could end up in this situation. I hope Rosalie’s lawsuit will be resolved to restore important safeguards so abusers can’t get abortion drugs in the mail. No one should suffer. If the drugs are powerful enough to end human life and cause massive hemorrhaging, then they shouldn’t be treated casually.
My ex-boyfriend made a choice. He chose deception over honesty, force over consent. And to violate two human beings, me and my baby.
No woman should endure this. And no society that values women’s safety should look away.

A Florida judge shut down Planned Parenthood’s attempt to dismiss a lawsuit accusing the abortion giant of false advertising over claims that the abortion pill is safer than Tylenol and Viagra.

Scott Duncan <a href="https://www.scribd.com/document/1043974075/249006462-Order?_gl=1*hbrykr*_up*MQ..*_ga*MzQ0MzYwOTE2LjE3Nzk5MDkwNDk.*_ga_Z4ZC50DED6*czE3Nzk5MDkwNDgkbzEkZzEkdDE3Nzk5MDkwNTEkajU3JGwwJGgw*_ga_8KZ8BV0P5W*czE3Nzk5MDkwNDgkbzEkZzEkdDE3Nzk5MDkwNTEkajU3JGwwJGgw">ruled</a> Monday against Planned Parenthood&#8217;s motion to dismiss the lawsuit, which Attorney General James Uthmeier filed in November 2025. The suit accuses Planned Parenthood of violating Florida’s Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act by misleading consumers about the safety of the abortion drug mifepristone.
Uthmeier is seeking up to $350 million in penalties. 
“The Defendants did not simply claim the abortion-inducing medications were safe; rather, according to the Complaint, they claimed they were safer than other medications,” Judge Duncan wrote. 
“In making a comparison, the Defendants went beyond vague promotional language,&#8221; the judge added. &#8220;Now whether these statements are actionable or non-actionable may depend on the context in which they were made.”
The lawsuit centers on a <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/learn/abortion/the-abortion-pill/how-safe-is-the-abortion-pill">statement</a> on Planned Parenthood’s website claiming abortion pills are “safer than many other medicines like penicillin, Tylenol, and Viagra.”
Planned Parenthood argued that the statements amounted to legally protected promotional language and could not be treated as false advertising. 
Uthmeier’s office praised the ruling. 
“We thank our team of litigators who argued against Planned Parenthood’s meritless attempt to dismiss our case against them,” Jeremy Redfern, Uthmeier’s deputy chief of staff, told The Daily Wire. “This decision brings us one step closer to holding Planned Parenthood accountable for profiting from abortions by lying to women about abortion pills being safer than Tylenol.”
Mifepristone cuts off the nutrients that an unborn child needs to survive in the womb. A second drug is then taken to expel the deceased baby from the mother. 
The <a href="https://www.myfloridalegal.com/sites/default/files/final-complaint-1106.pdf">lawsuit</a> seeks a $10,000 penalty for every chemical abortion performed in Florida under the alleged deceptive safety claims. Florida estimated that the total could be roughly $350 million based on approximately 35,000 abortions. 
“Tylenol is an over-the-counter pain medicine that everyone understands, intuitively and by experience, to be safe,” the lawsuit said. “Chemical abortion, by contrast, uses mifepristone and misoprostol and is far more dangerous. Use of chemical abortion drugs routinely lands women in the emergency room with hemorrhaging and other serious complications.”
The Food and Drug Administration says it is currently reviewing the safety of mifepristone. Pro-life advocates and several GOP attorneys general have urged the Trump administration to reverse Biden-era regulations allowing the drug to be prescribed without an in-person doctor’s visit.

Abortion pills can be obtained &#8220;as quickly as an Amazon transaction&#8221; thanks to a massive network of foreign and domestic pill sellers that routinely flout federal law.

The study noted that the majority of abortion pill sellers ignore FDA regulations and identified at least eight online pill providers that use so-called shield laws to ship pills into states where medication abortion is technically illegal. 
Researcher Mia Steupert found that an “increase in the proliferation of foreign and domestic online providers of abortion drugs&#8221; and &#8220;the enactment of shield laws all contributed to a post-Dobbs landscape where abortion drugs are readily available on all corners of the internet to women in all 50 states and D.C.”
The Charlotte Lozier Institute is the research arm of the Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America organization. 
The release of the study comes as pro-life groups have put pressure on the Trump administration to reverse Biden-era regulations that allowed abortion pills to be sent to women without in-person doctor visits. The Supreme Court ruled earlier this month to allow mail-order abortions to continue as the FDA faces lawsuits over the removal of the in-person requirement. The FDA says it is conducting a safety review of the deadly drug. 
“The Joe Biden rule stripping away in-person doctor visits allows the online abortion drug industry to send mifepristone to kill unborn children far beyond the 10-week timeframe the FDA has established — putting women at increased risk for life-threatening complications,” SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser told The Daily Wire. 
“Anyone can get these drugs with a few taps on their phone. You don’t have to prove how far along you are, that you’re pregnant, or even that you’re a woman to obtain these drugs,” she added.

Shield laws have been adopted in Democrat-controlled states like New York and Massachusetts, which state officials say gives people who ship illegal abortion pills into states like Tennessee or Texas immunity from prosecution. Pro-life advocates have argued that shield laws effectively nullify states that have prohibited doctors from administering medication abortions.  
Domestic groups operating under shield laws include the Massachusetts Medication Abortion Access Project, We Take Care of Us, Aid Access, and several others, <a href="https://lozierinstitute.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/American-Reports-42-Appendices.pdf">according</a> to the study, which includes an appendix listing dozens of online pill sellers.

One reviewer wrote on the We Take Care of Us <a href="https://www.wetakecareof.us/">website</a> said she came from “a state where abortion is not allowed,” while another referred to getting the abortion pill, which ends the life of an unborn child, as “literally a life safer [sic].”
“There are no laws directly criminalizing the ingestion of abortion pills in any state, however there can be legal risk associated with abortion care,” the We Take Care of Us website <a href="https://www.wetakecareof.us/faqs">says</a>. 
We Take Care of Us will send women abortion pills “in advance” before they become pregnant.

Aid Access <a href="https://aidaccess.org/en/about-us">says</a> it provides abortion pills &#8220;to people in all 50 states&#8221; and boasts it has facilitated the deaths of over 200,000 unborn babies.
Multiple foreign pill providers were also scrutinized in the study. 
“These are typically foreign websites that allow anyone to buy abortion drugs, oftentimes as quickly as an Amazon transaction,” Steupert wrote. “These e-commerce websites obtain abortion drugs from international manufacturers and then either ship the drugs directly to the customer or to a U.S. middleman who mails them around the country.”
The study identified Telefem Mexico, Abortion Pills in Private, and Women on Web as three of the organizations that sell pills to Americans. Pills purchased from <a href="https://telefem.org/en/frequent-questions/">Telefem Mexico</a> are picked up on the Mexico side of the southern border, while the other two websites purport to ship pills into the United States. 
Abortions Pills in Private is based in a business park in the United Arab Emirates that says it ships to “anywhere” in the United States. In a drop-down menu, visitors can select from a variety of states with the strongest pro-life protections, including Tennessee. 
The pill provider says that it offers “confidential, medically reviewed services that ships abortion pill kits discreetly to addresses across Tennessee.” 
Women on the Web <a href="https://www.womenonweb.org/en/order-abortion-pill-online/usa/">says</a> that it provides abortion pills “in all 50 states, supporting pregnancies up to 14 weeks.”

The pill seller describes itself as a “Canadian feminist non-profit organization” and brags that it has facilitated the deaths of more than 130,000 unborn babies. 
Of the foreign pill sellers scrutinized in the study, 18 did not require any kind of ID, and 17 shipped abortion drugs not approved by the FDA, the study found.
Even if the providers do not purport to send pills into states with pro-life protections, most appear to completely ignore FDA regulations. The study also found that 81% of online pill sellers do not follow the FDA restrictions for abortion, including that the pill be taken within ten weeks of conception. 
“Of online abortion drug sellers within the formal U.S. healthcare system that publicly report the gestational age at which they will ship abortion drugs, only 19% complied with the FDA’s requirement to not ship the drugs after 70 days’ gestation. This means 64 sellers violated the FDA’s safety limit,” Steupert wrote. 
Additionally, the majority of pill providers also do not follow the Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy requirements outlined by the FDA for the abortion drug. These requirements include things like prescriber and dispenser guidelines. 
Back in 2019, the FDA sent a letter to 28 online pill sellers who were accused of violating abortion pill regulations. Steupert said that 10 of these pill sellers were still violating federal regulations despite the warning. 
“Of the 28 websites implicated in the FDA’s 2019 abuse letters, 10 are still actively breaking U.S. federal law by selling unapproved and unbranded abortion drugs they claim are FDA-approved,” she wrote.  
The report identified sites like <a href="https://www.abortionrx.com/contact.html">Abortionrx</a> and <a href="https://www.nopregnancy.com/contact.html">Nopregnancy</a> as two of the websites that were ignoring the FDA’s warnings. Both pill sellers have alleged &#8220;FDA approved&#8221; stamps on the bottom of their webpages.

Steupert told The Daily Wire her paper should serve as a wake-up call to federal policymakers. 
“No one should be able to obtain abortion drugs as easily as purchasing something off Amazon,” she said. “The egregious findings of this paper should serve as a wake-up call to policymakers that a wild west of online abortion drug access only serves to end unborn life at all costs, even at the expense of women’s safety.”

The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday allowed mail orders of the abortion drug mifepristone to continue, handing a major defeat for the pro-life movement while litigation over the pill continues.   
<a href="https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/25pdf/25a1207_21p3.pdf">In an emergency order</a>, the court temporarily blocked a federal appeals court ruling that struck down a Biden-era policy that allowed the abortion drug mifepristone to be prescribed online and shipped by mail. 
The unsigned order provided no legal explanation. Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas dissented. 
&#8220;The Court’s unreasoned order granting stays in this case is remarkable,&#8221; Justice Alito wrote. &#8220;What is at stake is the perpetration of a scheme to undermine our decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which restored the right of each State to decide how to regulate abortions within its borders.&#8221;
Justice Thomas went further, describing the mail distribution system for mifepristone as a &#8220;criminal enterprise.&#8221;
&#8220;Applicants are not entitled to a stay of an adverse court order based on lost profits from their criminal enterprise,&#8221; he concluded. &#8220;They cannot, in any legally relevant sense, be irreparably harmed by a court order that makes it more difficult for them to commit crimes.&#8221;
After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the Biden administration expanded nationwide access to chemical abortion. Under rules finalized in 2023, women could obtain mifepristone through telehealth appointments without an in-person doctor visit. 
The majority of abortions in the U.S. are obtained through medications, usually a combination of mifepristone and a second drug, misoprostol, <a href="https://apnews.com/article/abortion-pills-mifepristone-supreme-court-louisiana-0533e83d67148fdfec53b1d0d30c1e8a">according to the Associated Press</a>. 
Louisiana challenged the Biden-era policy under the Administrative Procedure Act, arguing the FDA relied on flawed or nonexistent data while eliminating safety protocols. 
<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/court-issues-major-ruling-on-biden-abortion-pill-policy">The Daily Wire previously reported</a> that the FDA acknowledged it had not adequately studied the safety of remote dispensing and is still conducting a review, with no clear timeline for completion.
The three-judge 5th Circuit panel held that the regulation, which has continued under the Trump administration, was likely unlawful. 
“Every abortion facilitated by FDA’s action cancels Louisiana’s ban,” the federal appeals court wrote, emphasizing that such harm cannot be undone.
Manufacturers of the abortion drug quickly filed emergency appeals asking the Supreme Court to intervene.
Acting alone, Justice Samuel Alito <a href="https://www.scotusblog.com/cases/genbiopro-v-louisiana/">entered and then extended an administrative stay</a> of the Fifth Circuit ruling, which is a short-term, procedural order that freezes legal proceedings so the full court has time to weigh the issue.
On Thursday, a majority of the justices appeared to agree with the abortion manufacturers, overturning the block in a significant setback for pro-life advocates as litigation drags on.

WASHINGTON—The White House today launched a website that helps expectant mothers locate pregnancy centers and learn about health and wellness, a Mother&#8217;s Day gift to both the pro-life and Make America Healthy Again movements, The Daily Wire can first report.
Moms.gov addresses &#8220;the needs of mothers and fathers who face difficult or unexpected pregnancies and [ensures] the wellbeing of mothers and the health of American families,&#8221; the White House said in a statement. The move is a direct rebuke to the Biden administration, which in 2022 launched ReproductiveRights.gov, a controversial site that directed expectant mothers to Planned Parenthood and abortion clinics.
When President Donald Trump returned to the White House, pro-life advocates urged the administration to promote abortion alternatives.
The new website does that and more. An expectant mother who accesses the site can search for pregnancy care centers or federally qualified health centers near her and quickly locate the nearest center. The Daily Wire used the tool and found up to 50 options offered within a 50-mile radius, many of them pregnancy care centers that offer ultrasounds and other services.
Pro-abortion advocates have vilified pregnancy centers for decades, <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2019/07/17/crisis-pregnancy-center-planned-parenthood/">arguing that</a> their &#8220;only purpose is to misinform, shame, and deter anyone seeking safe, legal abortion care.” But pregnancy care centers offer clothing, diapers, car seats, and many other resources to expectant mothers and fathers. Many pregnancy centers offer advice or literature on how to get a job, how to behave in a professional manner or capacity, how to care for children, or how to leave an abusive relationship. And these centers frequently offer ultrasounds, which are <a href="https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/24463667/">proven</a> to help mothers choose not to abort their unborn children.
In the months before and after the Supreme Court&#8217;s 2022 decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, pro-abortion vandals attacked almost 100 pregnancy centers around the United States with firebombings, vandalism, arson, smashed windows, graffiti, and more. The violence against pregnancy centers was so extreme that the Department of Homeland Security <a href="https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/22068133-dhs-memo/">issued a memo</a> the day the Supreme Court overturned Roe, warning that more violence should be expected.
Moms.gov also includes information on the new dietary guidelines issued by the Department of Health and Human Services, as well as nutrition information for expectant mothers, information on Trump Accounts, Trump RX offerings for those trying or hoping to conceive, and links to pregnancy recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
As the American birthrate <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/america-is-on-track-to-literally-die-off-new-fertility-data-warns">plummets</a> to record lows, the Trump administration has prioritized supporting mothers as part of its effort to encourage Americans to have more children.
The White House has partnered with donors to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-accounts-get-overwhelming-response-in-tax-day-filings">seed Trump Accounts</a> with $1,000 for every new enrollee — a promise that led 5 million children to be enrolled as of Tax Day, according to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. First Lady Melania Trump last month <a href="https://www.opm.gov/news/news-releases/opm-partners-with-first-lady-and-hhs/">partnered</a> with the Office of Personnel Management and Department of Health and Human Services to expand flexibility and leave for foster and adoptive parents in the federal workforce.
This is a strong contrast to the Biden administration, whose embrace of abortion was recently revealed to be more extreme than previously thought. A judge in the United Kingdom convicted a Christian pastor on Thursday for preaching on one of the Bible’s most well-known verses outside of a hospital that performs abortions. 
Pastor Clive Johnston was fined over $600 by Judge Peter King for preaching on John 3:16 inside a so-called “Safe Access Zone” outside the Causeway Hospital in Coleraine, Northern Ireland. Northern Ireland&#8217;s “Abortion Services (Safe Access Zones) Act” sets up buffer zones outside facilities where abortions are done, restricting protests, sidewalk counseling, or other pro-life activities. 
Johnston was prosecuted after leading an open-air Sunday service outside the Causeway Hospital on July 7, 2024, that did not mention abortion. Prosecutors accused him of attempting to influence a “protected person” or “recklessly” behaving in a way that could influence a person. 
“This is a dark day for Christian freedom,” he said after the conviction. “And yet the buffer zones law is so broad that holding a Sunday service has been found to be a criminal offence. And at 78 years of age I find myself, for the first time, convicted of a crime.”
“I know it was an unusual place to hold an open-air service but that was the point: There shouldn’t be any public spaces in Northern Ireland where you can be prosecuted and convicted simply for preaching the gospel,” he added. 
Video from the day of the open-air service shows a police officer warning Johnston that he may only share the gospel in a &#8216;safe&#8217; chaplaincy room inside the hospital.
“However, if you are reckless as to the effect that they could have on patients, staff, or any protected person, then you may be committing an offense,” the officer said. 
“But while you&#8217;re out here in the safe access zone, any act in that area, which may” dissuade a “protected person” from using a “service” could be an offense, the officer said.

Johnston was supported in his legal defense by The Christian Institute, a United Kingdom-based organization devoted to “upholding the truths of the Bible.” The organization’s director, Ciarán Kelly, said they would help Johnston look at appealing the ruling. 
“Despite assurances to the contrary when this legislation was being considered, we now see that an already controversial and deeply unjust law has now been selectively applied to criminalise gospel preaching,” Kelly said. “If the ruling stands it will represent a shocking new restriction on freedom of religion and freedom of speech so we will be helping Clive to consider the options for appeal.”
Last month, a State Department spokesman <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/us/news/2026/04/16/us-prosecution-british-pastor-abortion-clinic/">said</a> that the United States was monitoring the case with concern. 
“The UK’s persecution of silent prayer represents not only an egregious violation of the fundamental right to free speech and religious liberty, but also a concerning departure from the shared values that ought to underpin US-UK relations,” a spokesman told The Telegraph.
