A crowd erupted with joy as the Democratic governor of Massachusetts signed into law a “barbaric” new law allowing mothers to end the lives of their unborn children up until the point of birth. 
The law signed by Governor Maura Healey on Monday removes the state&#8217;s 24-week abortion restriction and allows a doctor to greenlight an abortion up until just before the baby is born. As Healey signed the legislation, a group of supporters cheered and clapped in support of the new law, paving the way for ending the life of full-term babies. 
“We&#8217;re a state with some of the strongest abortion protections in place,” she said. “And yet, you&#8217;ll hear from folks about some things that just weren&#8217;t in the right place in terms of making sure that women and couples and families had access to the care that they need, particularly those who experience complications late in pregnancy.”
Late-term abortions <a href="https://lozierinstitute.org/the-reality-of-late-term-abortion-procedures/">often include</a> a gruesome process where the baby is fatally poisoned in the womb and then delivered dead. They can also involve an abortionist crushing and dismembering a baby before its delivery. At full-term, most babies weigh around seven pounds, have fully developed organs, and have a layer of fat to stay warm. 
The law easily skated through both the Democrat-controlled state Senate and House. An abortion after 24 weeks may now “be performed by a physician based upon the professional judgment of the physician,” according to the law. 
In pushing for the legislation, Democrat Representative Christine Barber, the sponsor of the legislation, said that abortion “should be between a doctor and a patient.”
Healey’s signing of the law was met with immediate backlash from pro-life advocates. 
“Legalizing elective abortion up to birth on healthy mothers and healthy, pain-capable unborn children is not about protecting the doctor-patient relationship,” Massachusetts Citizens for Life President Myrna Maloney Flynn said. “It is about abortionists normalizing the deaths of fully-developed infants and pressuring vulnerable women to permit their unborn children to die in heinous acts of violence.”
“These abortions represent among the most severe human rights abuses permitted in only a few places around the world, including China and North Korea,” she added. 
The SBA Pro-Life America condemned the law as “barbaric.” 
“It should shock the conscience that tens of thousands of unborn Americans are barbarically dismembered limb by limb and torn apart every single year,” said SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Without a minimum national standard, the United States remains 1 of only 8 countries worldwide that allows abortion at any point in pregnancy.”
Other states with similar laws include Alaska, Oregon, Colorado, New Mexico, Minnesota, Michigan, Vermont, New Jersey, and Maryland.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche advanced out of the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, clearing a major hurdle in his bid to become the nation&#8217;s permanent attorney general after senators voted along party lines, 12-10, to send his nomination to the full Senate.
The committee vote came after weeks of scrutiny over Blanche&#8217;s tenure as acting attorney general and his previous role as President Donald Trump&#8217;s personal defense attorney. Senate Republicans are now expected to move toward a confirmation vote before lawmakers leave Washington for the August recess. 
A Senate Republican source told The Daily Wire that leadership&#8217;s goal is to hold a confirmation vote before senators depart Washington later this week.
The nomination drew heightened attention in recent weeks as several Republican senators sought additional assurances from Blanche on issues ranging from the Justice Department&#8217;s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein investigation to the administration&#8217;s abandoned &#8220;Anti-Weaponization Fund.&#8221;
Republican Sens. Thom Tillis (R-NC) and John Cornyn (R-TX), who had previously withheld their support while negotiating with the Justice Department over the fund, ultimately voted to advance Blanche after <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/key-gop-holdouts-agree-to-back-todd-blanche-for-attorney-general">receiving written commitments</a> that the department would formally rescind the Anti-Weaponization Fund. Tillis had also pressed Blanche to meet personally with victims connected to Jeffrey Epstein and work with lawmakers to ensure the controversial fund could not be revived.
Cornyn said the agreement provided the assurances he had been seeking. 
&#8220;They&#8217;ve been consistent about their assertion on behalf of the United States of America that the weaponization fund is dead, and of course I expect them to live up to that in any future litigation,&#8221; Cornyn said. &#8220;Given this agreement with Mr. Blanche, I expect the department to live up to this in future litigation, and I will vote to advance him out of the committee today.&#8221; Cornyn also argued that confirming a permanent attorney general would provide stability for the Justice Department.
Democrats remained unanimously opposed to Blanche&#8217;s nomination, arguing he would be unwilling to act independently from President Donald Trump. Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) said Blanche had failed to demonstrate he would be willing to stand up to the president when necessary. 
&#8220;Throughout the decades since the Watergate crisis, both parties have consistently recognized the importance of an attorney general who can and will stand up to the president and say no, and serve as an attorney general in defense of the Constitution, not just the agenda of any one president,&#8221; Coons said. &#8220;Will acting Attorney General Blanche meet that standard? We have clear evidence he will not.&#8221;
Coons also argued that Blanche&#8217;s agreement to eliminate the Anti-Weaponization Fund was insufficient, saying nothing would prevent him from reinstating it after confirmation.
The committee&#8217;s top Democrat, Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL), focused much of his criticism on the Justice Department&#8217;s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files. Durbin accused Blanche of overseeing efforts to review the files for references to Trump and criticized the department&#8217;s release of documents containing identifying information about Epstein survivors while, he argued, shielding powerful associates. 
&#8220;Mr. Blanche refused to tell me who gave this order, but former Attorney General Bondi made it clear, saying Blanche was in charge of the Epstein files,&#8221; Durbin said. Durbin also criticized Blanche&#8217;s recent meeting with Epstein survivors, calling it a &#8220;box-checking exercise&#8221; and accusing him of refusing to pursue investigative leads suggested by the victims.
Blanche has consistently defended the department&#8217;s handling of the Epstein investigation, arguing the Justice Department has been transparent and remains committed to prosecuting anyone found to have committed crimes connected to Epstein.
Earlier in the confirmation process, Blanche told lawmakers: &#8220;We have been extraordinarily transparent. There are no closed investigations. If we learn today, if we learn next week, if we learn next month that there&#8217;s an individual who we can investigate, indict, and prosecute out of the Epstein files, you better believe that we will.&#8221;
Republicans also questioned Blanche during his confirmation process on issues including mail-order abortion litigation and the Justice Department&#8217;s review of the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/exclusive-republican-senators-make-big-demand-of-todd-blanche-ahead-of-confirmation-vote">D.C. Five case</a> involving five aborted babies recovered from a Washington abortion clinic in 2022.
Earlier this month, more than 50 Republican lawmakers urged Blanche to investigate whether the babies were victims of illegal partial-birth abortions or infanticide. The Justice Department has since said it is reviewing the matter and will investigate any credible allegations of criminal conduct.
President Trump strongly backed Blanche&#8217;s nomination throughout the confirmation process, praising his performance as acting attorney general. &#8220;Todd has done a PHENOMENAL job,&#8221; Trump wrote on <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/116919780125305335">Truth Social.</a> &#8220;He is tough, brilliant, and 100% LOYAL to our Constitution, and the American People.&#8221;

Planned Parenthood said abortion is “gender-affirming care” Monday in a social media <a href="https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1520913796730044&amp;id=100064343153415&amp;mibextid=wwXIfr&amp;rdid=Ks4OHdKbNQDnRSRv">post</a> declaring that “reproductive freedom means every person gets to decide what’s right for their own body. No exceptions.”
The abortion giant made the claim less than one month after Planned Parenthood&#8217;s federal funding resumed and as the organization has <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/planned-parenthood-cashes-in-thanks-to-gender-confusion?author=Leif+Le+Mahieu&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Planned+Parenthood+Cashes+In+Thanks+To+Gender+Confusion">increasingly cashed</a> in on expanding transgender procedures for minors.

“Gender-affirming” services <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/get-care/our-services/gender-affirming-care">offered</a> by Planned Parenthood include estrogen for males, testosterone for females, puberty blockers, and transgender surgery referrals. These services have spiked in recent years across the country. 
A <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/planned-parenthood-cashes-in-thanks-to-gender-confusion?author=Leif+Le+Mahieu&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Planned+Parenthood+Cashes+In+Thanks+To+Gender+Confusion">recent report</a> from Concerned Women for America Legislative Action found a 40% increase in so-called “gender-affirming care” services at 14 of Planned Parenthood’s biggest affiliates from 2024 to 2025. 
Annual reports showed that Planned Parenthood Great Northwest, Hawaii, Alaska, Indiana, and Kentucky reported 24,295 “gender-affirming care” services in <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/uploads/filer_public/c8/70/c870cd3f-101d-4519-9879-55a846074a86/2025_impact_report_digital_1.pdf">2025</a>, up from 13,432 in <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/uploads/filer_public/50/98/5098af46-fcfb-4c40-b682-ecdc002906c5/2024_impact_report_digital.pdf">2024</a>. Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio reported 8,644 transgender services in 2025, up from 6,206 in 2024. 
At Planned Parenthood’s Pasadena affiliate, the number of transgender-related visits increased from 1,544 in 2024 to 2,346 in 2025. In its annual report, the group <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/uploads/filer_public/b4/79/b479a34c-032b-4944-a914-432b5d7a720f/2026_pppsgv_ar_option_digital.pdf">said</a> that it supported legislation in California “extending statewide protections for gender-affirming care to people of all ages.”
At the same time, Planned Parenthood recorded 434,450 abortions in fiscal year 2025, up 8% from the previous year and 34% since 2014. That comes as Planned Parenthood has pushed for more abortions via pill. 
The post came less than a month after Planned Parenthood regained the ability to bill Medicaid for non-abortion services following the expiration of provisions in the One Big Beautiful Bill. The defunding contributed to the closure of roughly 50 Planned Parenthood facilities. Although funding resumed, several smaller affiliates have continued closing clinics. 
Planned Parenthood of Michigan recently said that it was closing down three facilities in the state because of federal government cuts. It reported a $4.2 million decline in procedure reimbursements in fiscal year 2025. 
“The return of Medicaid reimbursement is welcome news for [Planned Parenthood Michigan] patients, and the organization will resume billing Medicaid in the coming days,” the organization <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/planned-parenthood-michigan/newsroom/planned-parenthood-of-michigan-reshapes-health-care-network-in-response-to-federal-funding-losses">said</a>. “However, the restoration of billing does not recover nearly a year of lost revenue or eliminate ongoing threats to safety-net health care funding.”
Pro-life activists have continued to pressure Congress to get another provision passed to defund Planned Parenthood into the next funding package.

When I talk publicly about how raising my baby is beautiful, not oppressive, feminists get mad. We never said that! they claim. To that I can only ask, Have you read second-wave feminist literature? Second-wave feminists did, in fact, call motherhood oppressive.
And ever since the &#8217;60s, the media&#8217;s advertising for the role hasn&#8217;t been particularly good. Culture followed the feminists&#8217; lead by portraying motherhood in an unfavorable light — both in obvious and more subtle ways. The prevailing messages always seem to reiterate the same point: Having children will ruin your life and strip you of your freedom forever.
It&#8217;s just as evident in today&#8217;s media as it was decades ago. While on maternity leave, I started watching three different shows. Each one introduced a pregnancy storyline, and in every case, the female lead chose to abort her baby. For one, it wasn&#8217;t the right time. For another, it would ruin her career. For the third, she wouldn&#8217;t be able to attend her dream school.
The state of modern television is just one of the many examples of the oppressive messaging that still permeates the media. Motherhood is portrayed as such a terrible fate that it is presented as better to terminate the life of your baby than to become a mother. As a new mom, holding my sleeping baby, I turned off each of those shows. The juxtaposition between what the media was telling me and what I was actually experiencing was striking.
Motherhood has far exceeded my already high expectations. Looking at my son&#8217;s face, I couldn&#8217;t find the oppression. It unlocked a million new horizons — new highs and even new lows — but most importantly, it brought a precious new human being into my life, one I have the privilege of raising and calling my own. There is no &#8220;sentence&#8221; more beautiful than that.
So, from my nursery rocking chair, I recorded a simple video on social media saying so.

Since then, women have made their own videos highlighting moments from their lives as mothers using my video’s audio, while another corner of the internet has taken personal offense. Many feminists responded with videos declaring, &#8220;We never said that.&#8221; That&#8217;s odd because I didn&#8217;t even use the word feminist. But perhaps they recognized that the language I criticized did, in fact, stem from their movement.
&#8220;They&#8221; did, in fact, say that.
It wasn&#8217;t difficult to dive into feminist literature from the 1960s and 1970s and find numerous direct quotes from influential figures saying that motherhood is oppressive. Shulamith Firestone wrote in her 1970 book &#8220;The Dialectic of Sex,&#8221; &#8220;The heart of a woman&#8217;s oppression is her childbearing and childrearing roles.&#8221;
Other notable examples include quotes from prominent feminist writers equating fetuses to parasites and describing domestic life as &#8220;comfortable concentration camps.&#8221; The list goes on and on, so much so that I made an entire video outlining my findings.

Perhaps one takeaway from the current outrage is that many people are no longer reading the rhetoric of their movement&#8217;s icons from decades ago. Or perhaps they want to distance themselves from their more radical predecessors and present a more peaceful picture of what their movement represents.
Probably not, but one can hope. Considering that the modern feminist movement still celebrates what I view as one of the most heinous practices in the United States, I doubt it. It always comes back to abortion.
For a movement to justify such an act, motherhood must still be portrayed, directly or indirectly, as oppression. Only if motherhood is seen as a fate worse than death does the argument for ending an unborn child&#8217;s life become coherent (though still deeply flawed). They may not say it as bluntly anymore, but I believe the core tenets from sexual revolution authors to modern-day influencers remain the same.
As for me, I&#8217;ll stick with another message for the masses: Motherhood is the most important role I will ever have, and it is not oppression. Motherhood is simply the best.

Abdul El-Sayed has campaigned on reaching across the religious divide with an appeal to Christians and Muslims alike, and he boasts that over two dozen Christian leaders back his bid to replace Michigan Senator Gary Peters. Those leaders include a pastor who suggested conservative activist Charlie Kirk deserved to be shot and the senior pastor of a church that hosted a drag event for kids.
El-Sayed, who once <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/aug/24/next-obama-abdul-el-sayed-first-muslim-governor-michigan" target="_blank" rel="noopener">hoped</a> to be America&#8217;s first Muslim governor, is locked in a competitive primary race with Democrat Rep. Haley Stevens. While many of his positions on topics from abortion to so-called &#8220;gender-affirming care&#8221; directly conflict with the Bible, that has not deterred some Christians from backing his campaign.
Included among El-Sayed&#8217;s supporters is Larry Davis, the pastor of Christian Tabernacle Baptist in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Davis, who believes that President Donald Trump faked the multiple assassination attempts, had no kind words for Charlie Kirk after his murder.
“He is being held as a hero. We shouldn&#8217;t be happy that he got killed. In another post, Davis shared a clip of Kirk criticizing DEI and <a href="https://www.facebook.com/logosmediator/posts/pfbid0Jajkv4JjjFt7QpvXLSt6CKcjc1Jwe8bySvguuSjNNpV8BRWAZgMWrVmXsK5qXkaxl">asked</a>, “Would you give a racist out of his own mouth the medal of freedom.”
On September 19, the pastor again spread his message that Kirk reaped what he sowed.
“No man should take it on himself to take the life of another. But the scriptures says be not deceived God is not mocked. Whatsoever a man show [sic] that shall he also reap,” Davis said alongside an AI-generated image of Kirk and Jesus Christ.
The Daily Wire sent a message to Davis to ask about his support for El-Sayed. His church, which has no listed email address, did not answer multiple phone calls.
Pastor Terrance Johnson, another religious leader who endorsed El-Sayed, shared a similar animus toward Kirk. He suggested that he was not sad about Kirk’s assassination because he was a “racist bigot.”
“You will accept a black man refusing to mourn his own father but you wil [sic] not accept a black man refusing to mourn a racist bigot because….. We all know why,” Johnson posted in a long screed quoting Tupac song lyrics a day after Kirk’s killing.

When someone commented on his post, “is this the heart of Christ,” Johnson responded by saying, “what is the heart of Christ.”
In another post, Johnson claimed that ICE was equivalent to the Ku Klux Klan.
“So ICE is the KKK rebranded. Still wearing mask it’s just that the badges are now out instead of being hid under the sheets,” he said.
Johnson’s Church, Second Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe, Michigan, recently <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/Da5Kv7hgwwr/">hosted</a> El-Sayed for an event. In a Facebook post, the church <a href="https://www.facebook.com/reel/1008191515327976">said</a> the event was for the Democrat to share “why he’s running for office.”
During the appearance, El-Sayed claimed to attendees that he was the only candidate who could “guarantee you healthcare” and attacked America’s history as “sordid,” according to a video posted by the church.
“We just commemorated 250 years. And I know there&#8217;s a lot of sordid history in those 250 years, but I also know what my life would have been had I been born in a place that I was supposed to be born. But for an accident of history, I get born here,” El-Sayed said. “Are we willing to put ourselves back in to correct that system so that the next 250 look a lot better than the last ones did?”
“It is the many versus their money. We got a choice. Do we want them to come in and buy an election?,” he added.

“Second Missionary Baptist Church of Monroe does not endorse or oppose any political candidate or party,” the church posted on July 17. “Our prayer is that every voter takes time to seek wisdom, research the candidates, and make an informed decision at the ballot box.”
Another pastor backing El-Sayed’s campaign is the ultra-woke Nathan Dannison of Fountain Street Church in Grand Rapids, which recently hosted a “queer prom” for adults and youth that <a href="https://www.facebook.com/FountainStChurch/posts/pfbid0jKRtWoLiCbmbVCfLggmD7JiVrBDH99WCEtbi8S6THySZAqP78MAx7cNLHYGJnvt1l" target="_blank" rel="noopener">featured</a> “12 drag performances.”
Dannison, who recently <a href="https://nathandannison.substack.com/p/preaching-about-psychedelics">said</a> that psychedelics have been part of his “spiritual discipline” for the last twenty years, said that abolishing ICE is a baseline position any candidate supported by him needs to take. In recent Facebook posts, Dannison has defended El-Sayed over his strong anti-Israel positions.
Dannison <a href="https://www.facebook.com/nscottnorth/posts/pfbid0keXseMToK1b6q7uxnda7z8Ad6MyDkAPSG3F3zWYwC48srDutvR1FUFNtJqCGpGcvl">said</a> that he’s “pretty horrified by a lot of the anti-Abdul posts I&#8217;m seeing from center-left Michigan voters that are obviously mashing the ‘fwd:fwd:fwd’ button or the copy-pasting ad copy from astro-turfed emails/sms/etc from defense lobbyists.”
“Dr. El-Sayed is not antisemitic. To the contrary, one of the reasons I support him is because he understands the real and present dangers facing Jewish Americans who are being blamed for foreign policies and wars that have absolutely nothing to do with their religion and history in this country,” he added.
Fountain Street Church <a href="https://fountainstreet.org/justice/choice-fund" target="_blank" rel="noopener">raises funds</a> for women to end the lives of their unborn children and says it is “proud to be the State&#8217;s longest standing abortion fund.”
Other pastors backing El-Sayed’s campaign included Detroit Rev. Horace Sheffield III of New Destiny Christian Fellowship and Rev. Keith Whitney of Sanctuary Fellowship Baptist Church.
Sheffield, who unsuccessfully <a href="https://ballotpedia.org/Horace_Sheffield">ran</a> for Congress in 2014 and <a href="https://www.horacesheffield.com/projects/)" target="_blank" rel="noopener">appeared</a> in the anti-white documentary “White With Fear,” sells anti-Trump t-shirts on his ministry website that say “I will take Biden in a wheel chair over Trump standing up.”

Whitney is the <a href="https://www.mosesaction.com/boardmembers/blog-post-title-one-gd3dr" target="_blank" rel="noopener">president</a> of Moses Action, an advocacy group that pushes for left-wing criminal justice reform and <a href="https://www.mosesaction.com/reproductive-freedom-statement" target="_blank" rel="noopener">supported</a> a ballot initiative to make the right to end the life of your unborn child a constitutional right.
“Throughout black history, government officials — most of them white men — have made decisions about black women’s bodies and health that have been harmful, traumatizing, and often deadly. Granting our current lawmakers the ability to dictate personal health decisions feels like a dangerous step backwards,” the group said in a statement.
Several of the pastors listed on El-Sayed’s campaign website, including Bishop Alan Evans and Pastor Parris McMurray, appear to be affiliated with the Church of God In Christ, Inc. The denomination <a href="https://www.cogic.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/SOLife-Resolution-11_12_19-1.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">adopted</a> a &#8220;sanctity of life” resolution in 2019 that “abortion is the killing of the innocent” and describes abortion as “genocide.”
The denomination did not respond to questions about its pastors endorsing the pro-abortion El-Sayed.
El-Sayed wants to codify the right to an abortion in federal law and suggested he will fight back on efforts to crackdown on abortion pills.
“Everyone has the right to make personal decisions about their healthcare,” his campaign <a href="https://abdulforsenate.com/priority/medicare-for-all-the-path-to-a-healthier-america/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">website</a> says. “That includes reproductive and gender-affirming care. I’ll fight to codify the rights once protected by Roe v. Wade into federal law.”
Earlier this month, El-Sayed earned the endorsement of the Council of Baptist Pastors of Detroit and Vicinity, which said it supported his emphasis on “affordability” and “human dignity.” It did not respond to questions about El-Sayed leftist advocacy on social issues.
“Pastors attend to their communities in the best and worst of times, and their support is about trusting me to show up in those moments with them,” El-Sayed said. “Together, we’re building a Michigan that brings people together across faiths, regions, and backgrounds in the work of offering dignity, opportunity, and respect for every Michigander.”

The Trump administration will pay seven-figures to a Christian father whose home was raided nearly four years ago by heavily armed FBI agents as part of former President Joe Biden’s crackdown on peaceful pro-life protesters. 
The settlement between pro-life advocate Paul Vaughn and the Justice Department is a remarkable reversal after the father of 11 once faced over a decade in prison due to the charges brought by Biden&#8217;s DOJ. The settlement was announced Tuesday by the Thomas More Society, a religious liberty law firm that represented Vaughn throughout his battle with the federal government. 
Vaughn’s Centerville, Tennessee, home was raided by gun-toting FBI agents in October 2022 over his involvement in a March 2021 protest that included praying and hymn singing at a local abortion facility. As several FBI agents corralled his children getting ready for school, other agents took Vaughn into custody in a dramatic show of force. 
“From the very moment that I was handcuffed and put in the back of the car, they showed me on their screen that it was a FACE Act violation, I knew from that moment on that it was political. But I knew something more than that,” Vaughn told The Daily Wire in an interview. “I knew that it was God telling a story, and that it wasn&#8217;t my story, and therefore, the responsibility wasn&#8217;t me. And so I trusted in Him.”
The FACE Act is a Clinton-era law used overwhelmingly against pro-life protesters if they are seen as impeding access to an abortion facility. Under Biden, prosecutors paired it with the hefty conspiracy against civil rights charge that could bring a prison term of more than 10 years. 
Pardoned alongside nearly two dozen other pro-life advocates by President Donald Trump in January 2025, Vaughn sued the government for its heavy-handed prosecution of him. The settlement includes the DOJ admitting it abused its power and concludes the suit.

In one email, Biden official Sanjay Patel wrote that the “unspoken reason” the FBI was going to stage dramatic arrests rather than allow self-surrender was because “the FBI really likes to make arrests.”
Vaughn, who ended up being sentenced to six months of house arrest, said the ordeal strengthened his faith and Christian convictions. 
“The important thing that we have is we have a duty to walk humbly, to love justice, and to seek mercy,” he told The Daily Wire. “Regardless of whether there&#8217;s people trying to write injustices or whether people that are trying to persecute and cause more injustice are Christian responsibilities the same.”
Steve Crampton, a lawyer with the Thomas More Society who defended Vaughn, praised the Trump administration&#8217;s handling of Biden’s pro-life prosecutions. He noted that it would not surprise him if other settlements between pro-lifers and the Justice Department were announced in the coming months. 
He told The Daily Wire that the DOJ under Trump was “genuinely interested in trying to right the wrongs of previous administrations” and “trying to do what they can to restore some respect for the rule of law.”

Pro-abortion organizations provided dossiers to the Biden DOJ with personal information and pictures of pro-life activists who were not yet charged with any crimes, but were later arrested by the FBI.
&#8220;I think there&#8217;s no question that this was a politicized prosecution of Paul and the others,” Crampton added. “This was a vindictive set of prosecutions meant purely to punish and deter pro-lifers from ever going back out again.”
Crampton said that Congress needed to act to repeal the FACE Act. The House Judiciary Committee approved a repeal of the FACE Act last year, but the legislation has stalled out. 
“That is an abhorrent law, it is without constitutional support for its passage in the first place,” he said. “And it is a horrific weapon that can and probably will be used again to cudgel pro-lifers in the future if we don&#8217;t take care of it now.”
While noting that the settlement was a big win, Crampton said the Biden prosecutions reminded Americans of their need to stay vigilant about government overreach. 
“We can never go to sleep,” he said. “If we don&#8217;t watch the ones that are watching us effectively, our federal overseers, then we have no one to blame but ourselves.”

A majority of likely voters support protecting women&#8217;s sports and limiting access to abortion drugs and sex change surgeries for minors, a <a href="https://concernedwomen.org/new-cwa-poll-on-midterm-issues-finds-major-support-for-womens-issues/">new poll</a> found.
Nearly 70% of voters say it is important to them that candidates oppose forcing female athletes to compete against and share locker rooms with biological males who identify as female, the poll, commissioned by Concerned Women for America and conducted by Zogby Analytics, found. Around 64% oppose letting minors access puberty blockers or cross sex hormones to be dispensed to minors, while 80% support policies that would make it easier for mothers to stay home with young children.
“Candidates running for office this year must recognize that voters are widely supportive of protecting women’s health, the ability to raise children, fairness in women’s sports, protecting children from gender transitions and from TV content with LGBTQ themes,&#8221; Penny Nance, CEO and president of Concerned Women for America, said. &#8220;This poll should serve as a roadmap for conservative candidates.”
The poll could offer candidates insight into winning issues ahead of November&#8217;s midterm elections. With fewer than 100 days left of the cycle, several crucial races are in play, and neither party has a clear path to victory in the House or Senate. Social and family issues will likely remain at the front of voters&#8217; minds in the coming weeks, in particular women&#8217;s sports.

Seventy-nine percent of respondents definitely or probably believe companies that cover abortion services or travel for abortion in their health plans should also help with employee childcare for women who choose to give birth. On the abortion drug itself, 68% definitely or probably believe the FDA should again require an in-person doctor’s visit before dispensing it. Men and women tracked closely: 68.9 percent of men and 66.2 percent of women.

WASHINGTON— A group of Republican lawmakers are urging acting Attorney General Todd Blanche to bring long-awaited clarity to the gruesome deaths of five premie-sized babies recovered from a Washington, D.C., abortion clinic in 2022.
Utah Senator Mike Lee and Congressman Chris Smith of New Jersey, along with more than 50 other lawmakers, are calling on Blanche to &#8220;comprehensively investigate the circumstances surrounding the deaths of five preborn children&#8221; whose remains &#8220;were recovered by the Metropolitan Police Department in 2022, after they were allegedly aborted in the Washington Surgi-Clinic operated by the late-term abortionist Dr. Cesare Santangelo.&#8221;
&#8220;For four years, members of Congress have remained alarmed at this clear violation of life and law, but the Biden Administration Department of Justice refused to act,&#8221; the lawmakers write in a letter exclusively obtained by The Daily Wire, noting that their remains are in the possession of the D.C. Medical Examiner and calling on Blanche to find out if the babies &#8220;were victims of the crimes of infanticide or partial-birth abortion.&#8221;
Blanche, who has been acting attorney general since April, is in the midst of a confirmation battle on Capitol Hill. Blanche faced the Senate Judiciary Committee last week in a two-day hearing where Republican and Democrat lawmakers alike questioned him about the Trump administration&#8217;s handling of the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ag-nominee-todd-blanche-shuts-down-trump-epstein-claims">Jeffrey Epstein case</a>, among other issues.
Lee and three other signatories of Tuesday&#8217;s letter — Senators Chuck Grassley, Ted Cruz, and Josh Hawley — all serve on the Senate Judiciary Committee. Blanche will need their votes to get to a full floor vote, and then for confirmation. As the committee prepares to vote, the signatories are calling Blanche to conduct a &#8220;thorough investigation into the death of each child, including autopsies of the infants and the preservation of all collected evidence.&#8221;
That is not all, however: they also want the babies to be properly buried.
&#8220;We cannot undo the grievous, barbaric acts that killed these children in their most vulnerable stage, but we equally cannot allow such lawlessness and inhumanity to evade our justice system any longer,&#8221; the letter reads. &#8220;Under President Trump’s and your leadership, we are hopeful that these children will finally receive the justice they deserve.&#8221;
A Justice Department official told The Daily Wire on Tuesday afternoon that the DOJ has gathered and reviewed documents related to the DC Five and is in the process of finalizing that process and turning things over to Congress. Should Congress identify any crimes in the DOJ&#8217;s trove of documents, the DOJ will &#8220;certainly investigate those matters,&#8221; the official shared.
“The Department of Justice is aware of the Senators’ request and takes these matters seriously,&#8221; DOJ spokeswoman Kiersten Pels shared. &#8220;As with all allegations of potential criminal conduct, the Department will review the information carefully and will investigate any credible allegations of criminal actions. The Department remains committed to following the facts and the law wherever they lead.”
Pro-life activists Lauren Handy and Terrisa Bukovinac originally discovered the baby bodies in boxes outside a Foggy Bottom abortion clinic in 2022 shortly before the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. The Daily Wire has <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/i-went-to-the-clinic-of-the-dc-abortionist-accused-of-gruesome-crimes-heres-what-i-saw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">extensively reported</a> on Washington&#8217;s lack of interest in how these fully formed babies died.
Advocates and Republican lawmakers have sounded the alarm for years about these babies, warning that they appear to have been brutally and illegally aborted in violation of federal law, but the Biden administration took no steps to properly investigate the matter, instead targeting the women who recovered the bodies.
Doctors estimated to The Daily Wire in 2022 that several of the babies were the victims of late-term abortions — and that at least one baby may have been aborted using illegal partial-birth abortion methods, showing “deep lacerations to the posterior neck which presumably correlates to the method of abortion used to end her life.”
&#8220;If this baby girl was alive when the abortionist made these lacerations, then her death directly violated the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003 (18 U.S. Code § 1531), which criminalizes the partial deliverance of a living child for the purpose of performing an overt act that intentionally takes the life of the child,&#8221; they wrote.
The lawmakers also point to the estimations of pro-life doctors, noting that one baby boy was estimated to be around 28 to 32 weeks, while another baby looked “like he should have been in the nursery” and was “about the same size as [her] granddaughter when she was born.”
Lee and Smith called on Attorney General Merrick Garland to conduct an investigation into the babies in 2022, as The Daily Wire first reported at the time, but the Justice Department never investigated or responded.
&#8220;On the contrary, after two years of inaction, reports indicated that the Department of Justice advised the Chief Medical Examiner to discard the bodies of the infants,&#8221; Lee and Smith write in their letter. &#8220;Fortunately, members of Congress were able to intervene with the Chief Medical Examiner and urge him to preserve the bodies.&#8221;

Despite countless red flags, leftist activists continue to send out abortion pills indiscriminately all across the country. 
An <a href="https://aaplog.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/2026.06.05-INVESTIGATIVE-REPORT-June-22-2026-at-16.18.01.pdf">investigation</a> shared with The Daily Wire by the American Association of Pro-Life OB/GYNs found that activist group Aid Access shipped pills to an investigator from the group posing as a 13-year-old girl who had three prior C-section births. The pills arrived in Indiana after investigator Dr. Christina Francis ordered the pills for a patient with a complicated medical history to see how the organization would respond. 
“What this investigation uncovered is far from anything that could be called healthcare,” the American Association of Pro-Life OB/GYNs (AAPLOG) wrote in a letter obtained by The Daily Wire Thursday, sent to top Republican lawmakers. “In fact, it should be considered medical malpractice.”
Restrictions around the mailing of the abortion pill mifepristone were loosened during the Biden administration, meaning pills can be sent out without an in-person appointment. That decision, still in place, occurred as abortion via pill cemented itself as the most common method to end the life of an unborn child. Pro-life activists have urged the Food and Drug Administration to reinstate those guidelines. 
While filling out an Aid Access pill intake form, Francis listed several conditions, including being on blood thinners, having an intrauterine device, and a history of ectopic pregnancy. Those conditions did not deter Aid Access, and pills arrived four days after Francis ordered them.

Francis found that Aid Access sent her the pills with no identity verification, confirmation of pregnancy, or any medical consultation despite <a href="https://aidaccess.org/en/">claims</a> on its website that it would have a medical professional review a medical questionnaire answered by those looking for pills. 
“To test the level of medical review and due diligence, we intentionally put red flags in our answers with several contraindications so ridiculous any one of them should have been a hard stop for a physician conducting an in-person screening and informed consent. However, we were shockingly allowed to complete the process,” AAPLOG told lawmakers.

“The intake process did not include a live consultation with a medical professional (such as what would happen with a telehealth visit). Even an asynchronous review of the user’s health information did not occur as the payment link was emailed less than 2 minutes after request submitted,” the investigation found. 
The pills were sent from a generic address in California to Indiana, where medication abortions are technically against the law. Aid Access, which says it ships abortion pills into all 50 states, did not respond to a request for comment. 
AAPLOG warned that the process enabled young children to easily access the deadly pills as well as those who might want to secretly coerce abortions. Several men across the country have been charged with forced abortions via abortion pills they ordered online. 
The investigation was sent Thursday to Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA), the chair of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee, as well as Senator Mike Crapo (R-ID), Rep. Brett Guthrie (R-KY), and Rep. James Comer (R-KY). 
AAPLOG urged them to use their “power and purview to restore common sense and basic safeguards for abortion pill distribution as a first step to protect our maternal and fetal patients.”

‘Medical Malpractice’: The Glaring Red Flags Abortion Activists Ignore

A gay couple is suing a single mother for an estimated $600,000 because she refused abortion after potential minor birth defects were discovered by ultrasound.
A surrogate in Canada says a gay couple told her to abort the baby she was carrying — which was created using a donor egg and one of the men&#8217;s sperm — at nearly six months pregnant over a possible cleft palate and a potential minor heart issue. A lawsuit obtained by the National Post says the couple is suing the woman for causing them emotional distress and not keeping them informed in a timely manner.
After the woman, who is not being named, refused to kill the child, the couple allegedly stiffed her on reimbursement for pregnancy-related expenses, lost income, and other costs, which were supposed to be paid per agreement. When the woman tried to take them to small claims court to try to get the $10,000, the couple hit her with an estimated $600,000 lawsuit.
“You know I’m a single mom, you know I have a daughter, and you’re basically suing me for my house. It seems very sh*tty, it’s just awful,&#8221; the woman said. “I just feel used … They didn’t get the perfect child they wanted and they threw me away.”
In Canada, women are not paid enormous sums for surrogacy as they are in America; instead, they&#8217;re only allowed reimbursement for pregnancy-related expenses. The woman in this case said she decided to become a surrogate to help others. She said she was inundated with dozens of requests for surrogacy after she announced her intentions. She added that she chose the gay couple after much consideration.
After the woman told the partners about possible birth defects, which were a cleft lip, a potential cleft palate, and a possible minor heart defect, the couple said in a letter that they wanted their surrogate to kill the child.
“Considering that medical tests indicate that the fetus has, or is likely to have, a genetic, chromosomal or other abnormality or defect, and in accordance with article 8.5 (a) of our surrogacy agreement … we want to inform you of our wish that the pregnancy be terminated,” the gay couple reportedly said. “Although very difficult, this decision is free and informed.”
The request left the woman feeling &#8220;devastated” and a “mess,&#8221; she said.
She ended up delivering a baby boy through an at-home birth, which further upset the gay couple, who reportedly wanted the baby delivered in a hospital because of the suspected birth defects. The at-home birth was agreed upon in their original surrogacy plan.
Surrogacy has become increasingly controversial, with critics arguing that the process turns motherhood into a transaction, preys on the poor, and treats children like a product.
Pro-life activist Lila Rose <a href="https://x.com/LilaGraceRose/status/2077207953451692129?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">posted</a> about the lawsuit on Tuesday, writing, &#8220;A same-sex couple is suing their surrogate for $600K after she refused to abort their baby at 22 weeks in Canada. Scans indicated the child had a cleft lip and a possible heart defect,&#8221; she said. &#8220;The little boy was born healthy.&#8221;
&#8220;That child is alive today not because of the men who purchased his life, but because the woman who carried him in her womb protected him. Children are not commodities,&#8221; Rose added. &#8220;Ban surrogacy now.&#8221;
The gay couple declined to comment on the matter, according to the Post.

WASHINGTON — Fourteen women who say they were harmed by abortion drugs are urging Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche to settle a federal lawsuit over mail-order abortion drugs involving a woman who says she was coerced into aborting her unborn baby by her boyfriend, according to a letter exclusively obtained by The Daily Wire.
The letter comes ahead of Blanche&#8217;s scheduled confirmation hearings, currently set for July 15 and July 16, indicating that Blanche may face questions from Republican senators on the Justice Department&#8217;s attitude toward mail-order abortion drugs. Under President Joe Biden, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) made it much easier for women to obtain abortion drugs through the mail without safety precautions.
Pro-abortion advocates have argued that the coronavirus pandemic made it necessary for women to be able to abort their babies at home using mail-order abortion drugs. Opponents of the drugs argue that abortions-by-mail have been found to harm many women and open the door to <a href="https://sbaprolife.org/latest-news/abortion-drugs-fuel-abuse-the-women-poisoned-against-their-will">documented cases of coercion and violence</a>.
&#8220;The Department of Justice must act now to protect women by listening to and standing with Rosalie Markezich, rather than fighting against her in litigation,&#8221; reads a letter sent to Blanche on July 8, signed by Tramelle Jones, Sara Huff, Elizabeth Henschel, Dora Rhode Esparza, Jannette Houston, Grace Cardoso, Abby Johnson, Kelly Lester, Erin Woods, Alani Harmon, Haile McAnally, Shanyce Thomas, McKenzie Kaupa-Thiesse, and Jessica Williams.
The women describe how Markezich, as a young woman in Louisiana, was delighted to discover she was pregnant. Her boyfriend did not feel the same way.
&#8220;She wanted her baby. She worked with children, loved them, and did not reject the thought of motherhood,&#8221; they wrote. &#8220;Yet according to her account, her then-boyfriend changed his mind, used her information to obtain abortion drugs by mail from a California abortionist, and pressured her to take them even though she did not want to end her pregnancy.&#8221;
&#8220;We grieve with Rosalie because many of us recognize parts of our own stories in hers: the pressure, the confusion, the fear, the absence of real medical care, and the feeling that the system was designed to move drugs faster than it was designed to protect women. No woman should be forced, pressured, deceived, or abandoned into taking drugs that end her child’s life and place her own health at risk.&#8221;
The women blame the FDA&#8217;s abortion drug policy for putting Markezich in this situation, warning Blanche that the policy is &#8220;the same policy the Department is defending in court&#8221; through Louisiana v. FDA. They urge the acting attorney general to side with Markezich and settle her legal case immediately so that &#8220;abortion drugs are no longer sent through the mail in ways that put women at risk.&#8221;
&#8220;The federal government should not defend policies that make it easier for men, abusers, traffickers, or anyone else to obtain abortion drugs in a woman’s name and pressure her to take them in isolation,&#8221; they write.
Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of SBA Pro-Life America, told The Daily Wire on Wednesday that the current crisis of mail-order abortion drugs is a &#8220;direct result of Biden federal policy.&#8221; Her organization has documented a number of cases of abortion drug coercion and violence across the nation, including the alarming story of a U.S. Army captain sentenced to 12 years in prison who poisoned a female junior soldier with mifepristone and killed their baby.
&#8220;Again,&#8221; she said, &#8220;we implore Acting AG Blanche as the Senate weighs his nomination: please, listen to the survivors and settle the case without further delay.”
A Fifth Circuit panel had previously found that Markezich&#8217;s case was &#8220;strongly likely&#8221; to succeed based on their claim that the FDA mail-order abortion rule violates the Administrative Procedure Act. But opponents of the abortion drugs argue that the litigation will take a long time to resolve while women and babies are continuing to be harmed.
&#8220;Settling this case would send a clear message that women’s safety matters, that coercion is real, that state laws protecting women and unborn children deserve respect, and that the Department of Justice will not ignore the real-world consequences of weakened abortion-drug safeguards,&#8221; write the fourteen women harmed by abortion drugs.
&#8220;We do not all share the same story, the same zip code, or the same season of life,&#8221; they added. &#8220;But we are united in asking the Department of Justice to recognize the harm women have suffered and to act before more women are placed in similar danger. For Rosalie, and for women and girls across the country who may never have the chance to tell their stories publicly, we ask you to act with urgency: side with Rosalie, settle the case, and help restore safeguards that can prevent further harm.&#8221;
Signer Haile McAnally took abortion drugs that were given to her at an abortion center, Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America shared, but when she got home, she began hemorrhaging in her bathtub. A friend discovered her and rushed her to the emergency room where she received a blood transfusion and doctors were able to save her life.
&#8220;I am supporting Rosalie because, like so many women, I fell prey to the propaganda surrounding the abortion pill — and it nearly took my life,&#8221; she told The Daily Wire on Wednesday. &#8220;I received mine in person at a clinic and still suffered serious medical complications; now these drugs are being shipped across the country with little to no oversight. For the health and safety of women, we have to do better — that starts with immediately stopping the mail shipment of these pills.&#8221;
Another signer, Jessica Williams, shared that she was pressured to abort her child by her estranged husband and ordered the drugs online through chat, with no screening. The abortion drugs shipped across state lines to a hotel where she picked them up, took them, and then immediately regretted her choice and called a pregnancy center where she obtained abortion pill reversal.
She named her baby daughter, who survived and is thriving, Kaylee Grace, partially after the pregnancy center that helped her.
&#8220;Every woman deserves to make decisions free from coercion or pressure and with appropriate medical support, screenings &amp; safeguards,&#8221; she told The Daily Wire. &#8220;The abortion pill carries an FDA black box warning label, as it is not an over-the-counter drug and comes with real risks to the lives of both mother and baby.  I am a nurse and a woman who has experienced coercion from a partner to take the pill, but my child was saved by abortion pill reversal. Some women and children are not that fortunate because of mail-order drugs.&#8221;
