The Supreme Court of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/georgia" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Georgia</a> on Monday reinstated the state’s “LIFE Act,” which protects unborn babies when they develop a heartbeat at around six weeks into the pregnancy.
The court <a href="https://s3.documentcloud.org/documents/25194463/supreme-court-stay-order.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">granted</a> the state’s request that the pro-life protections be kept in place while an appeal is heard on a Fulton County judge’s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/judge-strikes-down-georgias-six-week-abortion-ban" target="_blank" rel="noopener">decision</a> to strike down the law as “arbitrary.” Six judges on the court agreed with the state while one offered a partial concurrence and the remaining two did not participate. 
The court’s ruling was praised by pro-life advocates but decried by pro-abortion groups. The law will be reinstated at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. 
“Thank you [Governor Brian Kemp] and [Georgia Attorney General Christopher Carr] for your continued and unwavering dedication to protecting the youngest Georgians under the LIFE Act,” pro-life group Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America <a href="https://x.com/sbaprolife/status/1843361528621510778" target="_blank" rel="noopener">posted</a> on X. 
Planned Parenthood called the Supreme Court’s decision “devastating.”
“Georgia’s Supreme Court reinstated a six-week abortion ban — putting the ban into effect just one week after a lower court found it unconstitutional,” the abortion giant posted. “Georgians deserve better. Every person should be able to get the care they need.” 
The law now being reinstated protects unborn babies at <a href="https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/pregnancy-week-by-week/in-depth/prenatal-care/art-20045302#:~:text=Week%206%3A%20The%20neural%20tube%20closes&amp;text=The%20baby's%20brain%20and%20spinal,that%20will%20soon%20become%20arms." target="_blank" rel="noopener">six weeks</a> into development, when major development begins with their heart, brain, spinal cord, and arms. 
Last week, Fulton County Judge Robert McBurney struck down the LIFE Act, which was signed back in 2018 by Kemp. 
“When a fetus growing inside a woman reaches viability, when society can assume care and responsibility for that separate life, then — and only then — may society intervene,” McBurney wrote in his decision. 
He asserted that “liberty” in Georgia included “the power of a woman to control her own body, to decide what happens to it and in it, and to reject state interference with her healthcare choices.”

McBurney struck down the protections after a series of misleading stories were widely publicized that blamed the deaths of two women on Georgia’s LIFE Act. 
In one case, a woman died in 2022 from complications with the abortion pill because she developed an infection after taking a pill to end the lives of twins she was carrying and the babies&#8217; remains stayed in her uterus. Unlike what was widely suggested, the LIFE Act would not have prevented doctors from removing the remains of the babies as they were already deceased. 
Georgia is set to be one of the battleground states that could decide the 2024 election and Democrats have focused much of their campaign efforts on pushing for a national guarantee to an abortion.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D) was confronted over the weekend for promoting a debunked story about a young woman who died in Georgia after she took an abortion pill.
The exchange happened as Walz, who was also confronted over the extreme positions that he has taken on abortion, appeared on &#8220;Fox News Sunday&#8221; with host Shannon Bream.
Bream noted that in Minnesota, Walz signed a bill into law that allowed abortion up until the moment of birth with no restrictions.
Walz deflected by claiming that he and Vice President Kamala Harris want to restore Roe v. Wade.
He also falsely claimed that it&#8217;s been &#8220;debunked&#8221; that the law he signed permits unrestricted abortion.
&#8220;What you signed is there&#8217;s not a single limit through nine months of pregnancy,&#8221; Bream pushed back. &#8220;Roe had a trimester framework that did have limits to the pregnancy. The Minnesota law does not have that.&#8221;
Walz completely ignored what Bream said and then falsely claimed that Trump was &#8220;asking for a nationwide abortion ban.&#8221;
The governor then promoted the lie that Georgia&#8217;s abortion laws led to the death of Amber Thurman, a young woman who died because she was not treated at the hospital after she became sick following her decision to take an abortion pill.
&#8220;To be clear, the Minnesota law is far beyond Roe v Wade,&#8221; Bream noted. &#8220;And about the Amber Thurman case in Georgia, her family &#8230; has said it was a complication from an abortion pill that she received and she didn&#8217;t get proper care when she went to a Georgia Hospital, which had multiple opportunities to intervene there.&#8221;
&#8220;Her own attorney, the family&#8217;s attorney, says it wasn&#8217;t the Georgia law, it was the hospitals,&#8221; Bream continued. &#8220;What he claims is malpractice, not treating her when she clearly showed up in distress and still had the byproducts of her pregnancy because of that rare complication from the abortion pill.&#8221;
Bream then confronted Walz over his decision to remove language from the law that protected babies who were born alive after an abortion.
&#8220;Language that used to be part of the statute was taken out,&#8221; she noted. &#8220;It used to require medical personnel to, quote, &#8216;preserve the life and health of the born alive infant&#8217;. That language has been repealed. It&#8217;s no longer part of the law. Also struck from the law was language about reporting infants that are born alive, what treatment they receive and whether they live or die.&#8221;
&#8220;Why was it important to you to get that protection out of the law?&#8221; she asked.
Walz falsely claimed that the law &#8220;aligns with every other case of what physicians are required by their ethical responsibilities.&#8221;
He then said that any questions about his extreme abortion views were &#8220;a distraction from the real issue here&#8221;, which he said was pro-life laws that protect the unborn.

Ten scientists are suing an academic journal that retracted major studies on the potential harm of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/how-leftist-networks-flood-red-states-with-risky-abortion-pills-with-no-consequences" target="_blank" rel="noopener">abortion pills</a>, saying that the retractions were &#8220;politically motivated.&#8221;
The Charlotte Lozier Institute scientists, represented by the Alliance Defending Freedom and Consovoy McCarthy, say that Sage Publishing violated California contract law when it yanked three studies, including two on the dangers of the abortion pill, earlier this year. The retractions, which occurred weeks before the Supreme Court heard arguments on the availability of abortion pills, were <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/completely-unjustified-medical-journal-retracts-major-studies-critical-of-abortion-pill-ahead-of-supreme-court-clash">first reported</a> by The Daily Wire.
The lawsuit seeks to compel Sage to commit to arbitration over the scientists’ complaints about the retractions, which were issued in February.
“By retracting three studies by Charlotte Lozier Institute scholars without any legitimate objection to any of the findings, Sage put politics over publication ethics and blatantly disregarded the principles of open inquiry and commitment to science,” said Dr. James Studnicki, vice president and director of data analytics at Charlotte Lozier Institute. “The authors’ well-earned reputations as highly qualified scientists and researchers have been immeasurably harmed. We’re hopeful this opportunity to compel Sage to arbitrate in good faith will shed light on their meritless actions to silence our research.”
The <a href="https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/23333928231216699" target="_blank" rel="noopener">retraction notice</a> from Sage stated that an independent review of the studies was conducted due to a single reader’s complaint that the studies included misleading data and that the authors were affiliated with a pro-life organization, the Charlotte Lozier Institute.
Studnicki, one of the authors on the papers, was also kicked off the editorial board of Sage’s Health Services Research and Managerial Epidemiology journal, months before the retractions actually took place.
“Sage’s wrongdoing has been causing enormous and incalculable harm to the Authors’ professional reputations, as Sage intended. Because of Sage’s retractions, the Authors and their research have been attacked by the media and by other authors, and the Authors have had new research proposals inexplicably turned away by other publications that now fear associating with them,” lawyers for the scientists wrote in a petition in Ventura Superior Court. “The Authors have years—even decades—of fruitful research ahead of them, but they are now being treated as pariahs.”

One of the now-retracted <a href="https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/23333928211053965" target="_blank" rel="noopener">studies</a>, published November 9, 2021, found that the rate of emergency room visits following chemical abortions had spiked 500% from 2002-2015, according to Medicaid claims data. Another one of the studies, published May 20, 2022, <a href="https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/23333928221103107" target="_blank" rel="noopener">analyzed the likelihood</a> of recurring emergency room visits for women who did not disclose to doctors that they had a chemical abortion.
These two studies were <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.txnd.370067/gov.uscourts.txnd.370067.137.0_19.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cited</a> in Federal Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk’s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/federal-judge-in-texas-suspends-fda-approval-of-abortion-pill-used-in-up-to-half-of-abortions" target="_blank" rel="noopener">decision</a> to suspend FDA approval of mifepristone.
“Politics should never sway science, especially when that science is vital for saving and protecting lives,” said Alliance Defending Freedom Senior Counsel Phil Sechler. “Sage punished these highly respected and credentialed scientists simply because they believe in preserving life from conception to natural death.&#8221;
In addition to ending the life of an unborn baby, the abortion pill can also come with <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/media-claims-a-georgia-woman-died-due-to-laws-banning-abortion-heres-the-truth" target="_blank" rel="noopener">serious complications</a> for the women who take them. A Georgia woman died in 2022 from complications with the abortion pill because she developed an infection after taking a pill to end the lives of twins she was carrying and the babies remains stayed in her uterus.

Eva Edl was just nine-years-old when she was sent to a Hungarian prison camp by communists at the close of WWII. After spending 18 months in hellish conditions, Edl and her family successfully fled the camp and immigrated to the United States.
That was her first experience with weaponized government power. Now, 80 years later, she <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ive-paid-the-price-89-year-old-pro-life-activist-speaks-at-sentencing" target="_blank" rel="noopener">faces imprisonment</a> in the United States after the Biden-Harris Department of Justice (DOJ) brought charges against her for protesting abortion.
At 89-years-old, Eva is one of many pro-life Americans facing the wrath of the Biden-Harris DOJ’s weaponization of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act. Edl and six other defendants currently await <a href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/seven-defendants-convicted-federal-civil-rights-conspiracy-and-freedom-access-clinic" target="_blank" rel="noopener">federal sentencing</a> for their participation in protests at Michigan abortion clinics.
Enacted in 1994, the FACE Act is a federal law designed to protect access to abortion clinics, pregnancy resource centers, and places of worship. Yet, it essentially duplicates laws already established in all fifty states, thereby paving the way for federal bureaucrats to wage politicized enforcement against ideological and political opponents.
Consequently, the FACE Act has become one of the Biden-Harris administration’s favorite tools to attack the pro-life movement. The administration has disproportionately used it in instances of peaceful, everyday Americans protesting abortion while largely turning a blind eye to hundreds of recorded, violent attacks on pregnancy resource centers and churches in the wake of the leaked Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision.
After my office made <a href="https://www.dailysignal.com/2024/02/16/exclusive-doj-hiding-data-face-prosecutions-congressman-says/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">repeated requests</a> of the DOJ to disclose FACE Act prosecution data, we were able to confirm that as of May 2024, the Biden-Harris DOJ had charged 24 FACE Act cases against 55 defendants. Just two of these cases were brought in defense of pregnancy resource centers and never for the protection of a house of worship. This means that nearly 92% of all Biden-Harris FACE Act cases were brought against pro-life demonstrators, despite over <a href="https://catholicvote.org/tracker-church-attacks/">285 churches</a> and <a href="https://catholicvote.org/pregnancy-center-attack-tracker/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">94 pregnancy resource centers and pro-life groups</a> being attacked and vandalized since May 2022.
Under normal circumstances, the sentences for FACE Act prosecutions far outweigh the gravity of the “crimes” – but that still isn’t enough to satisfy the Biden-Harris regime. For the first time in American history, this administration began to tack on “<a href="https://www.justice.gov/crt/statutes-enforced-criminal-section" target="_blank" rel="noopener">conspiracy against rights</a>” felony charges on top of FACE Act charges, which carry <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/pro-lifer-convicted-over-peaceful-protest-sentenced-to-notorious-federal-prison">prison sentences</a> upwards of 10 years. The misuse of this reconstruction-era law marked a dramatic escalation against pro-life Americans compared to past administrations.
Because of this additional conspiracy charge, Edl, who was recently sentenced to three years of probation in a Tennessee court, now faces up to 11 years in federal prison and $350,000 in fines — meaning a woman who bravely escaped a death camp as a young girl now faces death in prison in the United States for standing up for the sanctity of life.
And Edl is far from alone.
Paulette Harlow, a 75-year-old grandmother, was sentenced to serve two years in prison for her participation in protesting a D.C. abortion clinic where the bodies of five late-term babies were allegedly <a href="https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/250862/after-police-find-aborted-fetal-remains-at-home-of-dc-pro-life-activist-group-pledges-full-explanation" target="_blank" rel="noopener">discovered</a>. D.C. Judge Kollar-Kotelly, who oversaw Harlow’s bench trial, referred to the sit-in protest as “violent” and refused <a href="https://x.com/LilaGraceRose/status/1696634069663014960https:/x.com/LilaGraceRose/status/1696634069663014960" target="_blank" rel="noopener">evidence</a> showing clinic abortionist Cesare Santangelo’s willingness to deny care to a newborn who survives an abortion – in violation of federal law.
Further, after Harlow&#8217;s husband begged for mercy, expressing his fear that his wife would die alone in prison, Judge Kollar-Kotelly <a href="https://catholicvote.org/judge-chides-elderly-pro-life-rescuer-about-dying-in-prison-and-her-faith/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">taunted</a> that maybe Paula would &#8220;make an effort to remain alive” because that is a “tenet of [Harlow’s] religion.”
The FBI sent a clear message to pro-life Americans in 2022 when their swat team descended on the home of Mark Houck following an <a href="https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/253523/acquitted-pro-life-activist-mark-houck-reveals-details-of-fbi-raid-will-press-charges" target="_blank" rel="noopener">incident</a> outside a Philadelphia abortion facility between a clinic escort and his 12-year-old son. This was despite the incident being almost a year old and after both state and local authorities declined to prosecute. A federal jury rightfully acquitted Houck after fewer than three hours of deliberation, but the prosecution was the point.
Where fear like this is planted, tyranny flourishes.
To stop this growing weaponization and intimidation, Congress should stop this targeted harassment and ensure the FACE Act is repealed. Allowing it to remain means permitting bureaucrats at the highest levels of government to unequally apply the law, target pro-life Americans with unwarranted retaliation, and shield a radical abortion industry. That is why I am proud to have introduced H.R. 5577, the FACE Act Repeal Act, in order to finally hold this administration accountable and eradicate this unconstitutional threat to all Americans.

For all the differences between the presidential and vice presidential debates, there was one glaring similarity: the moderators weren&#8217;t able to keep their mouths shut. In the first debate, the rules allowed the moderators to &#8220;fact-check,&#8221; whatever that means exactly. In the second debate, the rules didn&#8217;t allow &#8220;fact-checking.&#8221; But in both cases, the moderators couldn&#8217;t help themselves. They weighed in, over and over again. And every single time, they interjected to help whatever Democrat was standing at the podium. And the format of these &#8220;fact-checks&#8221; was always the same, too. The moderators would wait for Donald Trump or JD Vance to stop speaking. Then they&#8217;d hastily recite a rehearsed, one-line &#8220;correction.&#8221; And then they&#8217;d immediately try to change the subject so that Trump or Vance couldn&#8217;t respond.
This would be disgraceful even if these moderators were telling the truth. The whole point of a debate is to hear from the candidates, not the moderators. But even if you disagree on that point — even if you think it&#8217;s good for the moderators to intervene when they think a candidate is lying — it&#8217;s still not clear why they would refuse to let the candidates respond to their &#8220;fact checks.&#8221; This wasn&#8217;t an accident; it was how they approached every single one of these fact checks, across two debates and two sets of moderators. And it&#8217;s worth figuring out why that is.
It could be that many on the Left don&#8217;t engage in any kind of critical thought anymore. They just look at the consensus view — as reflected by the &#8220;fact check&#8221; — and declare no further questioning is allowed. They genuinely can&#8217;t conceive of a situation in which the consensus might be mistaken. On the other hand, it could also be that, in this context, the moderators realized their &#8220;fact-checks&#8221; would fall apart under any form of scrutiny. And indeed, with every day that passes, that&#8217;s exactly what&#8217;s happening. One by one, every single one of these &#8220;fact-checks&#8221; from these two debates is collapsing.
These are not small errors I&#8217;m referring to. Take for example this moment from the debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. Trump was asked about his position on abortion, and he gave a long answer. And then the moderator, Linsey Davis, fired off a one-line fact-check before pivoting immediately to Kamala Harris. Watch:

At the time, a lot of people pointed out the obvious problem with this fact-check. Donald Trump never actually said that it was legal to kill babies after they were born. But he did say it was happening. And he cited a very specific and well-known piece of evidence: The former governor of Virginia, Ralph Northam, strongly suggested to a radio show in 2019 that in certain cases, such as &#8220;fetal abnormalities,&#8221; his bill would <a href="https://www.reuters.com/article/world/fact-check-virginia-governors-2019-comments-about-abortion-bill-are-missing-co-idUSKBN27D2GS/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">allow doctors</a> to kill children after they&#8217;re born:
<blockquote>If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.</blockquote>
Defenders of Ralph Northam recognized how demonic this quote is. So for the past several years, they have insisted that he wasn&#8217;t talking about euthanizing children who survived failed abortions. And they claimed the governor wasn&#8217;t actually talking about allowing newborn infants to die for no medical reason, either. Presumably, that&#8217;s the spin Linsey Davis had in mind when she corrected Donald Trump during this debate. She declared, with authority, that there is &#8220;no state&#8221; in the entire country where it&#8217;s legal to kill children after they&#8217;re born.
What was missing from her fact check is what John Solomon at Just The News has now <a href="https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/elections/tueaftwalzs-history-born-alive-abortions-opens-door-trump-gop-flip" target="_blank" rel="noopener">proven</a> — which is that children are being born alive in this country, and then doctors are allowing them to die without even attempting any life-saving intervention. It turns out that, until 2023, the state of Minnesota kept records on how many infants were born alive during failed abortions. Those records showed that from 2019 to 2021 — during Tim Walz&#8217;s tenure as governor — at least eight infants were born alive following a botched abortion. Not a single one of these infants received &#8220;life-saving care.&#8221; Two infants in 2021 received &#8220;comfort care.&#8221; All eight of the children died.
None of the doctors involved were ever investigated or charged for any of this — even though, at the time, Minnesota law <a href="https://www.ncregister.com/news/tim-walz-born-alive-abortion">required</a>, “responsible medical personnel” to use “[a]ll reasonable measures consistent with good medical practice” to “preserve the life and health of the born alive infant.”
But just to cover his bases, Tim Walz changed the law in 2023. Now the law doesn&#8217;t require lifesaving measures at all for infants who survive abortions. Instead it requires that doctors &#8220;care for the infant who is born alive,&#8221; without specifying exactly what that care entails. The law also gets rid of the reporting requirement for the state health agency, so no one can learn how many children are being killed — or allowed to die — after they&#8217;re born.

If you look at the records Solomon found, you can see why Democrats might want to cover them up. They&#8217;re as ghoulish as you can imagine. Here&#8217;s the <a href="https://justthenews.com/sites/default/files/2024-08/MNAbortionReportJuly2020.pdf">July 2020 report</a> from Minnesota, for example.
<blockquote>In one instance, fetal anomalies were reported but residual cardiac activity was present at 2 minutes. Care of fetus was transferred to the second medical doctor. No measures taken to preserve life were reported and the infant did not survive. &#8230; In one instance, comfort care measures were provided as planned and the infant did not survive. &#8230; In one instance, the infant was pre-viable. No measures taken to preserve life were reported and the infant did not survive.</blockquote>
Notice the <a href="https://justthenews.com/sites/default/files/2024-08/MNAbortionReportJuly2020.pdf">report</a> doesn&#8217;t even bother to clarify whether lifesaving measures could have saved some of these infants. That&#8217;s not a piece of information the health department decided to track, for some reason. But the report is very clear on the fact that children who survived abortions were consistently allowed to die in the state of Minnesota without any attempt by a doctor to save them. &#8220;No measures taken to preserve life&#8221; is a consistent theme here. You don&#8217;t get any more information than that. And rather than provide any more transparency on this point, the state, under Tim Walz, has gone ahead and shut down record-keeping entirely.
The Dispatch looked into this reporting, and <a href="https://thedispatch.com/article/claims-about-children-born-alive-after-abortion-attempts-in-minnesota-are-true/">they confirmed</a> it&#8217;s all accurate.

Minnesota Department of Health documents show that eight infants were born alive during abortion procedures between 2019 and 2022, and, in 2023, Walz signed legislation that repealed most of a statute designed to protect infants born alive after an abortion attempt.</blockquote>
So the truth is that Linsey Davis either has no idea what she was talking about, or she was deliberately lying. Either way, it&#8217;s beyond reprehensible that no mainstream media organization in this country has bothered to do any investigative reporting on this topic. Apparently, only John Solomon is interested in the question of whether or not children are being systematically killed — or &#8220;allowed to die&#8221; — after they&#8217;re born. The most we can expect from ABC is a drive-by &#8220;fact-check&#8221; during a presidential debate with a lot of snark and no substance whatsoever.
To get a sense of how big the problem is, I went back and looked at every single fact-check from these two debates. And every single one of them was either obviously false or extremely misleading. I already <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/ep-1449-the-matt-walsh-show">covered</a> the FBI&#8217;s crime numbers, which supposedly show that violent crime is down. The moderator, David Muir, cited those statistics in his &#8220;fact-check&#8221; without providing any context — including the missing law enforcement agencies who didn&#8217;t report data, or the DOJ&#8217;s report showing that crime has actually surged under the Biden-Harris administration. Then there was his claim that &#8220;no credible reports&#8221; indicated animals were being eaten in Springfield. Watch:

So the city manager says it&#8217;s not &#8220;credible&#8221; to suggest that domesticated animals are being killed in the &#8220;migrant community.&#8221; And the moderator and Kamala Harris mock Donald Trump for saying he saw those reports on television. It turns out that, back in March, the Springfield city manager himself did say that there were &#8220;quite a few&#8221; credible reports of &#8220;horrid things&#8221; happening to domesticated animals in Haitian communities in the town. So that&#8217;s another fact-check that was just a complete lie. And actually, Trump called it out in real-time. He said the city manager was probably just trying to give a political answer when ABC News called. And that&#8217;s exactly what was happening.
Let&#8217;s go down the list. There was also this fact-check from the other day:

This was another drive-by fact-check that the candidates weren&#8217;t allowed to respond to. And it&#8217;s also completely false, as I&#8217;ve outlined many times before. 
Here&#8217;s how Chris Martz — the same meteorology student I mentioned the other day — <a href="https://x.com/ChrisMartzWX/status/1841291822846370094" target="_blank" rel="noopener">responded to</a> this particular fact-check.

Chris Martz, again, is a meteorology student. And he knows enough to check the actual data before he makes wildly false claims about what &#8220;scientists say.&#8221; So what exactly is the excuse of a major media organization for doing this, in front of 40 million people?
Whatever that excuse is, they&#8217;re still doing it, long after the debate is over. Around midnight, CBS News posted <a href="https://x.com/CBSNews/status/1841346121949401372" target="_blank" rel="noopener">this</a>:

The fact-check claims that Harris was just assigned to investigate the &#8220;root causes&#8221; of migration, rather than to oversee enforcement of the law. But if you pull up articles from CBS&#8217; own website, you&#8217;ll find out very quickly that they&#8217;re lying. Here&#8217;s <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/kamala-harris-immigration-lead-mexico-border-biden-administration/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">an article</a> from 2021, for example.

At this point, I&#8217;m honestly looking for a single &#8220;fact-check&#8221; that pans out. From what I can tell, none of them have any validity whatsoever. It&#8217;s actually kind of incredible. And of course, there was no fact-check that was more incredible than this one, which I highlighted the other day:

This was egregious for all of the reasons that I&#8217;ve shown you. Yes, the moderators decided to break the rules to enter the debate on behalf of Kamala Harris. Yes, JD Vance was right that, to the extent these tens of thousands of Haitians are &#8220;legally&#8221; in the country, it&#8217;s only because the federal government has decided to bend the rules and award them mass amnesty. And yes, it&#8217;s comical that the moderator doesn&#8217;t fact-check Tim Walz&#8217;s claim that this has been going on, to the same extent, since the 90s.
But in retrospect, you can kind of see why the moderators decided to cut the microphones. After all, every single one of their fact-checks up to this point had been wrong. Some of them were called out in real-time, while others fell apart immediately on social media. And now, after all of that, they realized that yet another one of their fact-checks was blowing up in their faces. So they pressed the panic button.
At this point, the only viable solution is to eliminate moderators from future debates entirely. They&#8217;ve inserted themselves repeatedly into the discussion, only to spread falsehoods and confuse the issues. And they haven&#8217;t been wrong about insignificant topics, either. They&#8217;ve been wrong about whether illegal aliens are killing animals. They&#8217;ve been wrong about how many Americans are being victimized every year by violent criminals. And they&#8217;ve been wrong about whether children are being allowed to die after they&#8217;re born. These &#8220;mistakes&#8221; only go in one direction for a reason, which is that they&#8217;re not mistakes at all. The truth is that there are very powerful forces in this country that want to enable these atrocities. And after these moderators are all discarded along with their useless &#8220;fact-checks,&#8221; we need to make sure those ghouls never hold power again.

Whoopi Goldberg scolded Christians and Catholics from her perch behind the table at ABC&#8217;s &#8220;The View&#8221; on Thursday, chastising them for daring to stand on doctrine and say that abortion is wrong.
Goldberg, who has often pushed the illegal-back-alley-abortion narrative as the reason that women should be free to end the lives of their unborn children without restriction, also suggested that the mother was the only human being whose life would be impacted in any way by the abortion issue.

Hostin argued that Melania Trump — who has made a series of similar videos to promote her memoir due out next Tuesday — would only release that particular video if she hated her husband, former President Trump, and wanted him to lose the 2024 election.

Former first lady Melania Trump spoke out about her pro-abortion views in a short clip promoting her upcoming memoir, saying &#8220;there is no room for compromise&#8221; on the issue of women being allowed to abort their unborn children.
Melania said she has &#8220;carried&#8221; her pro-abortion views &#8220;throughout [her] entire adult life,&#8221; a break from her husband&#8217;s pro-life record while he was in office. Her remarks on abortion come less than five weeks before the 2024 election as Democrats are focusing on the issue to motivate their base.

Paragraphs of Melania&#8217;s memoir published by <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/oct/02/melania-trump-memoir-defends-abortion-rights" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Guardian</a> on Wednesday go into more detail on her support for abortion.
“Why should anyone other than the woman herself have the power to determine what she does with her own body? A woman’s fundamental right of individual liberty, to her own life, grants her the authority to terminate her pregnancy if she wishes,&#8221; Melania writes, adding, “Restricting a woman’s right to choose whether to terminate an unwanted pregnancy is the same as denying her control over her own body. I have carried this belief with me throughout my entire adult life.”
Melania is not the only first lady to disagree with her Republican husband&#8217;s views on abortion. Daily Wire host Michael Knowles <a href="https://x.com/michaeljknowles/status/1841653680912634071" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pointed out</a> on X, &#8220;It is a sad, strange fact of history that, for as long as abortion has been a major public issue, every Republican FLOTUS has supported it.&#8221;
Former President George W. Bush&#8217;s wife Laura <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/laura-bush-opens-up-about-disagreements-with-husband-on-gay-marriage-abortion/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in 2010 that she supported Roe v. Wade remaining the law in the U.S., and during George H.W. Bush&#8217;s four years in office, former first lady Barbara Bush <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZG23IT5Mjg" target="_blank" rel="noopener">answered</a> &#8220;yes,&#8221; when she was asked if she is &#8220;pro-choice.&#8221; Nancy Reagan <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyGIZ-D3V_M" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> she&#8217;s &#8220;somewhere in the middle&#8221; on the issue of abortion.

Former President Trump&#8217;s appointment of three conservative Supreme Court justices led to the overturning of Roe v. Wade in 2022, an accomplishment Trump has touted, <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trump-was-able-kill-roe-v-wade-rcna84897" target="_blank" rel="noopener">saying</a>, &#8220;Without me the pro Life movement would have just kept losing.” The Republican nominee has pushed back against some pro-life laws recently, however. During the 2024 campaign, Trump criticized a near-total abortion ban in Arizona and a six-week abortion limitation in Florida, arguing that the laws are too extreme.
In her book, Melania writes about disagreements between her and her husband, including on some aspects of immigration policy, The Guardian reported. She writes that “occasional political disagreements between me and my husband” are “part of our relationship, but I believed in addressing them privately rather than publicly challenging him.”

Melania Trump Says Women Have 'Fundamental Right' To 'Terminate' Pregnancy

She swallowed the pill on a Thursday night. She immediately regretted it.
Mackenna was five weeks pregnant when she took mifepristone, the first of two drugs used in a chemical abortion. By the next day, rather than Googling “abortion pill” as she had done earlier, she was searching for information on whether she could reverse the effects of the drug.
Fortunately, Mackenna found the Abortion Pill Rescue Network, which connected her with Chelsea, a nurse practitioner who runs a medical clinic in Castle Rock, Colorado. Chelsea contacted Mackenna that evening and saw her the next morning.
Chelsea told Mackenna about a progesterone treatment called “abortion pill reversal.” Progesterone is a natural hormone that has been safely used for decades to <a href="https://medlineplus.gov/druginfo/meds/a623013.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">support pregnancies</a>, <a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3604830/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">prevent miscarriage</a>, and <a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3934502/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">forestall pre-term labor</a>. If taken within 72 hours after mifepristone, supplemental progesterone can <a href="https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30831017/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">halt the chemical abortion process</a>.
Many women like Mackenna <a href="https://pregnancyhelpnews.com/we-celebrate-each-of-these-children-aprn-marks-5k-lives-saved" target="_blank" rel="noopener">change their minds</a> after taking the first abortion drug. For these women, abortion pill reversal offers a second chance to save their babies’ lives.
Mackenna opted for the treatment, and it worked. “My beautiful daughter was born this summer,” Mackenna said. “I can’t imagine life without her.”
Yet, across the country, government officials are trying to deprive mothers of that choice. APR and the stories of women who regret their abortions threaten those officials’ pro-abortion agenda. So they are suppressing information and pushing laws that compel women to finish their abortions, even when the mother changes her mind.
In many states, the government is trying to make it illegal for pro-life healthcare providers and pregnancy care centers to offer or even speak about this life-saving progesterone treatment, simply because of the personal and political views of politicians.
It should go without saying that medical professionals seek to save lives. But when healthcare providers like Chelsea seek to save an unborn life, that’s enough to draw scrutiny from pro-abortion officials.

The state can’t force women to follow through with an abortion when a safe and effective alternative is available — one that Chelsea can skillfully provide.
Something similar is happening in <a href="https://adflegal.org/press-release/california-pro-life-pregnancy-centers-sue-ag-censoring-their-speech" target="_blank" rel="noopener">California</a> and <a href="https://adflegal.org/case/national-institute-family-and-life-advocates-v-jameshttps:/adflegal.org/campaign/pregnancy-resource-centers?utm_source=dailywire&amp;utm_medium=oped" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New York</a>. Both states’ attorneys general have filed lawsuits against pregnancy centers for simply educating the public about the option of abortion pill reversal. The officials are abusing their power by censoring pregnancy centers’ speech about this life-saving treatment.
In <a href="https://adflegal.org/case/national-institute-family-and-life-advocates-v-clarkhttps:/adflegal.org/campaign/pregnancy-resource-centers?utm_source=dailywire&amp;utm_medium=oped" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Vermont</a>, a law hinders the ability of pro-life pregnancy centers to advertise their services and robs women of options. And in <a href="https://adflegal.org/case/platkin-v-first-choice-womens-resource-centershttps:/adflegal.org/campaign/pregnancy-resource-centers?utm_source=dailywire&amp;utm_medium=oped" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New Jersey</a>, the attorney general has targeted a Christian pregnancy center network for its pro-life views and demanded that it identify its donors and produce up to 10 years of its confidential internal documents.
Government officials are actively seeking to undermine pregnancy centers and impede their efforts to serve their communities. It is baffling how anyone—regardless of one’s opinion on abortion—could oppose centers that do so much good.
Pregnancy centers provide material and emotional support to women facing unexpected pregnancies. For mothers who choose life, the centers provide items like diapers, car seats, and baby and maternity clothing—free of charge. Many centers also offer free pregnancy testing, counseling, parenting classes, and adoption referrals. Some have licensed medical staff and provide free medical services, including ultrasounds, STD testing and treatment, and abortion pill reversal.
These government officials say they’re “pro-choice.” But their actions force every regretful woman to follow the same path: to go through with her abortion. They’re robbing from women the freedom to change their minds and choose life for their unborn babies. ADF is standing up to their politically motivated attacks.
Women like Mackenna deserve to be empowered with information, options, and support, and that’s what pregnancy centers provide. These centers save lives and families, and they give vulnerable women the confidence to look toward the future with hope.
When Chelsea treated Mackenna in her clinic, she wrote the word “HOPE” on the ultrasound image of Mackenna’s unborn baby. By choosing abortion pill reversal under Chelsea’s loving and expert care, Mackenna saved her daughter’s life. Every woman, and child, deserves this same chance. And every healthcare professional and pregnancy center deserves the chance to fully support women and families without fear of government censorship, bullying, or harassment.

Vance pointed out that Walz, as governor of Minnesota, <a href="https://patch.com/minnesota/across-mn/tim-walz-repealed-mn-law-protecting-babies-born-after-failed-abortions">repealed a bipartisan measure</a> that formerly required doctors to report whether abortions resulted in the live birth of a baby, what actions were taken to preserve the life of that baby, and whether the baby survived.
Walz&#8217;s action <a href="https://www.dailysignal.com/2024/08/06/under-gov-tim-walz-babies-born-alive-in-botched-abortions-were-left-to-die-then-he-removed-reporting-requirements/">also stripped</a> the state’s requirement that measures be taken to preserve the baby’s “life and health,&#8221; replacing it merely with a requirement for “care.”
&#8220;That is fundamentally barbaric,&#8221; Vance told Walz.
Walz denied the allegation.

Under the state&#8217;s former abortion reporting requirements, state health department data <a href="https://www.dailysignal.com/2024/08/06/under-gov-tim-walz-babies-born-alive-in-botched-abortions-were-left-to-die-then-he-removed-reporting-requirements/">shows</a> that physicians performed five abortions that resulted in a baby’s live birth between Jan. 1, 2021, and Dec. 31, 2021. The data <a href="https://www.health.state.mn.us/data/mchs/pubs/abrpt/docs/2021abrpt.pdf">shows</a> that the first baby had &#8220;fetal anomalies&#8221; and no steps were taken to help that baby, resulting in &#8220;death shortly after delivery.&#8221;
&#8220;Comfort care measures&#8221; were provided to two of the other babies as they died, and no measures were taken to &#8220;preserve life&#8221; of the last two, reportedly &#8220;previable,&#8221; babies.

Only eight states publicly report or respond to requests for statistics on babies who were born alive during abortion procedures, according to the Charlotte Lozier Institute: Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Oklahoma, and Texas.
The Daily Wire previously reported that most of these states are not transparent with their reporting on whether the babies were given care after they were born alive through botched abortions. Minnesota appears to be the only state that was legitimately providing reasons — until Walz did away with the state’s reporting requirement in May 2023.
Walz also <a href="https://apnews.com/article/abortion-politics-minnesota-state-government-timothy-walz-11c3b1d5269c929e442b979ff1bac73b">signed a broad abortion law</a> in January 2023 that does not include any limitations on how late during her pregnancy a mother may end the life of her unborn baby.

A Georgia judge struck down the state&#8217;s six week abortion ban on Monday.
The Fulton County superior court judge called the six week ban &#8220;arbitrary&#8221; and ruled that &#8220;liberty&#8221; in Georgia includes &#8220;the power of a woman to control her own body, to decide what happens to it and in it, and to reject state interference with her healthcare choices.&#8221;
&#8220;That power is not, however, unlimited,&#8221; Judge Robert McBurney <a href="https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/25178645-final-order_5cce1275?responsive=1&amp;title=1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a> in his ruling. &#8220;When a fetus growing inside a woman reaches viability, when society can assume care and responsibility for that separate life, then — and only then — may society intervene.&#8221;
With the ban struck down, abortions are now legal up to viability, usually considered around 22 weeks of pregnancy, although younger babies have <a href="https://www.uab.edu/news/health/item/12427-uab-hospital-delivers-record-breaking-premature-baby" target="_blank" rel="noopener">survived</a> outside the womb. Under the ban, abortions had been illegal in Georgia after cardiac activity was detected, usually around six weeks.
This is the second time Georgia&#8217;s six week abortion ban has been struck down. The first time was in November, 2022 shortly after the law took effect the previous July. The law had been blocked since 2019.
The state filed an appeal to Georgia&#8217;s Supreme Court, which sent the case back to Fulton County.
Georgia saw about half the number of abortions each month under the ban as it did before the law took effect, <a href="https://www.axios.com/local/atlanta/2023/04/19/the-effectiveness-of-georgias-abortion-ban" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to the Society of Family Planning.
In the weeks leading up to the ban being overturned, several misleading news stories blamed the Georgia ban for two women&#8217;s deaths.
In one case, a woman who <a href="https://www.propublica.org/article/georgia-abortion-ban-amber-thurman-death" target="_blank" rel="noopener">took</a> abortion pills developed an infection when she did not expel all the parts of her deceased unborn twins. An Atlanta hospital took 20 hours to perform a dilation and curettage (D&amp;C) on her to clear out her uterus, but it was too late, and she passed away.
Media outlets blamed the abortion ban for the woman&#8217;s death, falsely suggesting that D&amp;Cs are illegal under the abortion ban since this procedure is also used in abortions. However, the Georgia law does not mention D&amp;Cs, and abortion is specifically <a href="https://www.legis.ga.gov/api/legislation/document/20192020/187013" target="_blank" rel="noopener">defined</a> in the law as causing &#8220;the death of an unborn child.&#8221; In this case, the unborn twins were already deceased.
In another similar case, a Georgia woman <a href="https://www.propublica.org/article/candi-miller-abortion-ban-death-georgia" target="_blank" rel="noopener">took</a> abortion pills but failed to expel all the tissue of her unborn baby. She later took a lethal combination of painkillers including fentanyl and ultimately passed away at home. Her family said she had not sought medical care “due to the current legislation on pregnancies and abortions” despite the treatment for her condition being legal.

Judge Strikes Down Georgia's Six Week Abortion Ban

A 59-year-old woman said she just wanted to hold her new grandson as she was given time to speak during her sentencing in federal court in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nashville" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nashville</a> on Friday over her participation in a peaceful protest in March 2021 at a Tennessee abortion facility.
Heather Idoni was sentenced to eight months in prison over her conviction on violating the FACE Act and conspiracy against rights. Judge Aleta Trauger said Idoni will serve the time concurrently with the two years she is currently serving for a conviction on similar charges out of Washington, D.C. She will likely serve little extra time due to the new sentence because she has about one year left on her D.C. sentence. She was also given three years of supervised release followed by one year of probation.
The Biden administration’s Justice Department had hoped for the eight month sentence to be added to the end of her D.C. sentence so that she would be incarcerated for 32 months total. However, Trauger ruled against their petition for the time to be served consecutively.
Idoni was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/pro-life-demonstrators-found-guilty-face-up-to-11-years-in-federal-prison" target="_blank" rel="noopener">convicted in January</a> over a sit-in protest at the Carafem Health Center in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. During the protest, Idoni and a group of others sang, prayed, and urged women not to get abortions.
The conspiracy against rights charge was originally a Reconstruction-era statute intended for use against members of the Ku Klux Klan that could be punished by over ten years in prison. The Biden admin has been using it to prosecute pro-lifers across the country.
Idoni, wearing a green jumpsuit and leg shackles, was given an opportunity to speak in court, during which she spoke of her Christian faith and the hardships she had already endured in federal custody. She began by reading from Proverbs 24:10-12, which talks about rescuing “those being led away to death” and holding “back those staggering toward slaughter.”
Idoni also said that federal marshals had mistreated her since she entered federal custody back in August 2023. She said that some marshals had put chains so tight around her waist that she struggled to breathe when she sat down and that one marshal told her she would tighten it more if she complained again.
Since entering federal custody, Idoni has also had three stints put into her heart, complicating her treatments as she has been transported across the country to at least eight different prisons.
“I would love to be home with my family,” she said. “I would love to hold my new grandson.”
DOJ lawyer Wilfred Beaye argued that the sentence should be tacked onto her current time because she has a “history of disrespecting the law” and said that eight months was low on what they could have asked for due to federal sentencing guidelines.

William Conway, Idoni’s lawyer, requested that she be sentenced to time served and three years of supervised release.
Trauger said that she took Idoni’s history of charitable work, including mission work to Ukraine and adoption of kids, as well as her difficult childhood and health problems as mitigating factors. She said that aggravating factors were that she had a “blindspot” for her beliefs that led her to “inflict emotional damage on other people.&#8221;
After sentencing, a group of supporters waited outside the courthouse to wave signs as she was driven away by federal marshals to a federal prison in Kentucky where she is currently incarcerated. A few held up signs saying “happy birthday” because Idoni will be turning 60 on Saturday.

Fleetwood Mac <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/music">singer</a> Stevie Nicks is proudly promoting her new pro-<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/abortion">abortion</a> song, saying it could be the “most important” single she’s ever written.
The 76-year-old <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">musician</a> released “<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJDCYh5iWQs">The Lighthouse</a>” on Friday, representing her first solo single in four years. Nicks said she wrote the song following the Dobbs Supreme Court decision in 2022, which overturned Roe v. Wade and the constitutional right to abortion.
“I find it very sad, at 76 years old, I had to see Roe v. Wade taken away,&#8221; Nicks <a href="https://people.com/stevie-nicks-discusses-new-song-the-lighthouse-abortion-access-exclusive-8719365">told</a> People in an email interview. &#8220;Two years ago, when I realized the consequences of women’s rights that are vanishing, I watched a lot of news, and I was like a sponge — it just went into me.”
“One morning I woke up… which, I never write when I wake up in the morning, and all of a sudden went, ‘I have my scars, I have my scars,’ so I just grabbed my notebook, and I started writing the whole thing,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;It was a long-form poem, and I didn&#8217;t know what kind of song that would be. I found an instrumental that I loved and within two or three days, I had recorded the song. I never redid the vocal — it&#8217;s an original vocal — and it&#8217;s taken me two years.”
She went on to discuss the many people in the music industry, including Sheryl Crow, who helped develop the song over the past two years until Nicks deemed it “perfect” enough to release.
“All the stories that we tell about the necessity for women&#8217;s healthcare and the necessity for a safe and legal abortion option for women is absolutely necessary,” Nicks told the outlet.

And there were a lot of drugs, I was doing a lot of drugs … I would have had to walk away,” she said of aborting the child she conceived with Eagles singer Don Henley in 1979.
