<p>Former Disney star Demi Lovato said she wished she had waited until she got her &#8220;s*** figured out&#8221; before releasing her documentaries detailing her battle with addiction and said &#8220;sobriety&#8221; is the only thing for her.</p>
<p>During the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/demi-lovato">30-year-old</a> singer/actress interview with <a href="https://www.altpress.com/demi-lovato-holy-fvck-interview/">Alternative Press</a>, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/survivors-guilt-disney-star-demi-lovato-talks-sobriety-battle-and-rough-time-after-overdose">Lovato</a> talked about her ongoing battle that she&#8217;s detailed in three different documentaries.</p>
<p>&#8220;Honestly, I&#8217;m really sick of watching myself, and I think other people probably are too,&#8221; the &#8220;Camp Rock&#8221; <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/looking-for-an-escape-former-disney-star-says-she-started-getting-into-alcohol-and-drugs-at-13">star</a> admitted. &#8220;And if they aren&#8217;t, then they can watch my music videos.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;I wish I would have waited until I had my s*** figured out more because now it&#8217;s cemented,&#8221; she added. &#8220;Sobriety is what works for me and nothing else.&#8221;</p>

<p>In the &#8220;Sober&#8221; hitmaker&#8217;s documentary &#8220;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvxtPm4OGJ4">Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil</a>,&#8221; she opened up about her drug overdose and just how close she came to death, <a href="https://pagesix.com/2022/08/29/demi-lovato-says-she-regrets-making-her-documentaries/">Page Six</a> noted. Around the same time, she also <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/demi-lovato-gets-giant-spider-tattoo-on-head-after-reported-rehab-stay">shared</a> that she was &#8220;California Sober&#8221; when asked about her sobriety, meaning only smoking marijuana and drinking occasionally.</p>
<p>During a recent appearance on &#8220;The Zane Lowe Show on Apple Music,&#8221; Lovato talked about her sobriety, going back to rehab in 2021, and how she&#8217;s been dealing with the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/survivors-guilt-disney-star-demi-lovato-talks-sobriety-battle-and-rough-time-after-overdose">guilt of surviving</a> the overdose she had in July 2018.</p>
<p>&#8220;Everything that I write about comes from personal experiences, and I had gone through a rough time last year,&#8221; Lovato shared. &#8220;And I went back to treatment, and when I came out, I had all of this unresolved trauma that like I hadn&#8217;t dealt with, or that I started to deal with in treatment. And then when I came out, I was like, &#8216;It&#8217;s OK to be angry and feel those things.'&#8221;</p>
<p>However, for those that are still hoping to hear more about what the pop singer&#8217;s gone through in her struggle to go from Disney Channel star to now, she shared that that book has not been written, yet.</p>
<p>&#8220;My story&#8217;s not done, so I want to be able to say by the time I&#8217;ve written a book, ‘OK, this is me grown up.'&#8221;</p>
