There’s this mic-drop line in the trailer for Leonardo DiCaprio’s new film, “One Battle After Another”: “It’s not that hard, they/them.” 
When my husband and I heard it in theaters, we couldn’t help but shoot one another a look. We weren’t outraged; frankly, we were exhausted.
That zinger was clearly written to earn brownie points from a woke crowd, but it landed like a prepackaged corporate slogan. Any potential hype from the action movie trailer tanked the way an advertisement does when it tries too hard to sound like a movement.
But that’s where we’re at now. Even Hollywood trailers have a virtue-signal quota that writers type into scripts as proof that the studio has passed ideological inspections.
We’re not the only ones tired of it, apparently, since the whole notion of non-binary identities appears to be collapsing in on itself.
Sociologist Eric Kaufmann recently published data on <a href="https://x.com/epkaufm/status/1978074195767480659">X</a> that went viral, showing that the number of young people identifying as a non-binary “gender identity” — and even those identifying sexually as “queer” — has dropped dramatically.

Meanwhile, heterosexual identification quietly, and unfashionably, has seen a rebound.
That’s not political backlash, however. People are fatigued by a fading trend.
For years, “gender identity” meant more than personal exploration. Frankly, it felt like a public performance. The internet made it oh-so-contagious; Hollywood made it fashionable. Then corporations made it profitable.
But the more that identity became a virtue to pander or a brand to adopt, the less authentic it felt.
I can think of no better example than actress and singer Demi Lovato, as her story shows the emotional cost better than any statistic. Her struggles were, as many child stars’ are, very public and very difficult to watch: childhood trauma, addiction, near-fatal overdoses, long stretches of recovery, and then a relapse. But in 2021, amidst all that turmoil, Lovato “came out” as non-binary and deemed her pronouns “they/them.”
At the time, she described her new identity as freeing, one that made sense. But let’s be honest, freedom built on instability isn’t lasting. By the next year, she quietly started using “she/her” pronouns again and told interviewers she had become “exhausted” by constantly explaining herself. Focus on that word. She wasn’t just fatigued by correcting strangers, she was clearly weary of trying to rebuild her life through a faulty label based on fiction.
Kaufmann’s research suggests that Lovato’s identity arc clearly mirrors what’s happening on a larger scale. The boom in “trans” and “non-binary” identifications also happened to coincide with historic spikes in depression, anxiety, and loneliness — especially during COVID-19 lockdowns. But now, as self-reported mental health appears to have improved, those identities appear to be declining.
One may not have directly caused the other, but the overlap is worth pondering. For many, that “non-binary” label could have been a survival mechanism of sorts, a way they could name their inner chaos and get it off their chest in a culture that began looking down on traditional anchors like family and even faith. And once Lovato returned to “she/her,” she signaled to the public she was in recovery. This summer, she even <a href="https://www.eviemagazine.com/post/demi-lovato-s-case-study-and-why-women-are-more-prone-to-mimetic-desire">married</a> her Canadian beau, looking absolutely stunning in a traditional white wedding dress to boot.

Even Hollywood gets the picture that the magic is wearing off. For years, Netflix and other leading platforms turned representation into their marketing strategies. They inserted gender lessons into everything from teen dramas to children’s cartoons.
The 2021 children’s animated show “Ridley Jones,” for example, had a talking bison come out as “non-binary” and ask his grandma to use “they/them” pronouns. The show was “quietly dumped” two years later, as <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11863181/Netflix-quietly-dumps-Ridley-Jones-bison-comes-non-binary-grandma.html">Daily Mail</a> put it, once that novelty wore off.
This show, and many other forms of pandering media, are storytelling failures. Audiences don’t want to watch a sermon or get lectured. They just want entertainment, and they instinctively recognize when something that once felt radical is now conventional.
So, we’re witnessing the rise and fall of a trend cycle. A movement went viral, institutions codified it, corporations co-opted it, and then … many followers moved on. It started as “liberation,” but it became the branding du jour, which always collapses under its own fickle weight.
Between the data points, I see something hopeful happening. People are quietly rediscovering that they don’t need to reinvent themselves to feel or be whole. To them, I say, “Welcome home.”
For years, authenticity was socially measured by how fluid you were willing to be, but now it matters more how anchored you can stay in the storm. We’ve spent a decade being told that “normal” is oppressive, but normalcy is looking hotter than ever.
And maybe people won’t want to admit they were wrong — I get it. No one likes to admit they had it all mixed up. But when my husband and I heard that “mic-drop” in the movie theater, we didn’t react with cynicism. We recognized that culture has reached a point where even the symbols of rebellion have become clichés.
That’s why this new data is less like a regression and more like a release. After years of confusion, people aren’t running backward, I promise. They’re running home to simplicity and to the peace of saying, “I’m fine with being me.”

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/demi-lovato" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Demi Lovato</a> opened up about her new Hulu documentary “Child Star,&#8221; saying that young fame ruined her childhood and she won’t let her own kids go through the same.
Speaking to <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-features/demi-lovato-interview-child-star-documentary-1235973228/">The Hollywood Reporter</a>, the 31-year-old actress who was a staple of Disney Channel shows for kids growing up in the 2000’s said if her daughter ever came to her and expressed an interest in following in her footsteps into acting/music, she’d tell her to wait until she&#8217;s older.
“I’d say, ‘Let’s study music theory and prepare you for the day you turn 18, because it’s not happening before that,’” Lovato told the outlet.
“Not because I don’t believe in you or love you or want you to be happy, but because I want you to have a childhood, the childhood that I didn’t have,” she added.
“‘And also, let’s come up with a backup plan,’ which is something I wish I’d done because sometimes I think it’s time for me to move on, but I’m in this weird position in my career because I still rely on music for my income,” Lovato continued.

The “Camp Rock” star also talked about her new project, which she said was designed to be a cautionary tale for families interested in pursuing fame for their kids.
“Having the child be the breadwinner almost inherently changes the dynamic of a family, and then it becomes, like, how do you discipline that breadwinner?” Lovato said.
“I mean, they’d [mom and stepdad] try to ground me, but I was an egotistical child star, and I thought I was on top of the world. I’d be like, ‘But I pay the bills,’ and what do you say to that?”

Lovato later took issue with how former President of Disney Channels Worldwide, Gary Marsh, characterized the company’s responsibility when it comes to young talent, saying in a 2012 interview, “At the end of the day, it’s the parents who really have to be parents … the network is not responsible for raising their children.”
The actress disagreed and said after she left, she learned that the company had “hired a life coach with whom she was working [with] at the time,” which she said would’ve been helpful for her own family.
“I just think leaving it up to the families is really risky,” Lovato said. “Because not everyone has a healthy family dynamic, and you’re putting them in a pressure cooker.”
The “Sober” <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nobodys-perfect-disney-star-demi-lovato-explains-why-shes-going-back-to-she-her-pronouns">hitmaker</a> previously opened up about her longtime battle with alcohol and drugs, and said it started when she was 13 because she was already being “bullied” and was “looking for an escape,” as <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/looking-for-an-escape-former-disney-star-says-she-started-getting-into-alcohol-and-drugs-at-13">The Daily Wire</a> previously reported.

From 2015 to 2016, JoJo Siwa was on the show “Dance Moms” alongside her mother, Jessalynn Siwa. While she may not have been the best dancer, viewers always wanted to see more of her on screen. She has a big, bubbly personality and was always genuinely fun to watch. After two seasons on the show, she started a YouTube channel called “It’s JoJo Siwa,” which was a kids’ show—and kids loved her. It positively exploded. She gained a huge following and even created music for kids thereafter.
In January 2020, Siwa came out as a lesbian. Now, she is back in the news with a new podcast — “JoJo Siwa Now” — and a big announcement: She wants kids.

There are, obviously, lesbians who grow up to marry women. The women I know who have chosen this route are often women who have been abused by men in some way, be it emotional or physical. They almost experience a repulsion of men for the rest of their lives. Ellen DeGeneres has talked about the sexual abuse she experienced as a child, and she has been married to a woman for many years now.
But Siwa’s story? I have seen this story and so have you: Young girls become famous and want to break away from the child-like persona that made them famous — and they go through “a phase.” Call it a coming-of-age phase, per se. These girls are the Cyndi-Lauper-type girls who “just want to have fun.” They make out with other girls at a high school or college party, but they are not really lesbians. They grow up and out of that phase. They go on to marry a man and have children.

Take, for instance, Demi Lovato, who announced she was a lesbian, then non-binary, then back to being a woman. She is now an engaged woman. Miley Cyrus was also a temporary lesbian. She said she came out to her mom when she was younger, then she came out as a lesbian after her marriage failed with Liam. Now, she is dating a man again, a drummer who came with her to the Grammys.

 And, of course, who could forget Lindsey Lohan? She was dating Samantha Ronson for a while, another child actress who became a lesbian. But, Lohan grew up, got married, and just had a child.

So why does any of this matter? It matters because it impacts our children and because it’s relevant to the next generation. This type of behavior becomes dangerous. These women are famous and because their phase is platformed, it is treated as something more than just a phase.
JoJo Siwa has recently discussed on her podcast what coming out to her mother was like. She says she was 12-years-old. That’s right: 12-years-old. Do we assign meaning to anything that a 12-year-old says? Girls’ emotions are all over the place around that age when they are going through puberty; that is why people often say girls are much more difficult than boys when they are teenagers. Factually, a 12-year-old’s brain simply is not developed. In fact, it’s not developed until age 25.
Then, in regards to the conversation between Siwa and her mom, Siwa says, “My mom actually made my coming out to her super easy.” And when “everyone kinda caught a vibe” between her and a girl who ended up becoming her first girlfriend, her mom asked her, “Do you like her as a friend or as more than a friend?” All the while, Siwa has lots of children’s eyes watching her every move, hanging on her every word. They’re the kids who fell in love with her on YouTube, so they’re still listening to her while she makes her lesbian journey sound fun and easy.
Yet many lesbians’ journeys have been far from fun and easy. The highest domestic violence statistics exist amongst the lesbian community, with 43.8% of lesbian women and 61.1% of bisexual women having experienced rape, physical violence, or stalking by an intimate partner. Those are facts, and they are facts that JoJo Siwa is not considering while she goes through what I perceive to plausibly be a phase in her life.

Plus, biologically speaking, lesbians cannot naturally have children. But on her podcast, she says she is looking for someone who is ready to have kids because she is “very near ready.” Siwa says, “That is something that I care very, very much about.” Now, I love that she is talking about wanting to have children and making that aspirational because that is actually not common in Hollywood whatsoever. However, she is clearly not considering the implications of being a lesbian and having children. To have children, she would have to go through IVF, a tremendously expensive, emotional, and painful process. The reality of IVF is not flippant; it is severe. Further, it is not guaranteed.
JoJo Siwa may just be wanting to separate herself from the big bow phase, but the lesbian phase may be one she looks back on with regret. Perhaps she will look to some of the women who have lived lives similar to hers to learn from where they are now because her current decisions are in the public consciousness. She is influencing the children who are following her by glamorizing these decisions, even if unintentionally so.

Music executive Scooter Braun responded to the mass exodus of his A-list stars like Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and more <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ariana-grande-demi-lovato-ditch-manager-scooter-braun-justin-bieber-insists-hes-staying-despite-rumors-of-split" target="_blank" rel="noopener">amid rumors</a> that he&#8217;s getting out of the management business.
The 42-year-old talent manager seemed to make light of the <a href="https://pagesix.com/2023/08/22/scooter-braun-claims-justin-bieber-and-ariana-grande-are-still-his-clients/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">headlines</a> about him reportedly being fired when he posted a <a href="https://twitter.com/scooterbraun" target="_blank" rel="noopener">message on X</a> to his 3.5 million followers that read, &#8220;Breaking news … I&#8217;m no longer managing myself.&#8221;

The post came about after multiple reports surfaced this week on social media that his clients Bieber, Grande, Idina Menzel and Demi Lovato <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-12431211/Ariana-Grande-dumps-Scooter-Braun-Hollywood-managers-career-crisis-7-Ringers-singer-joins-Demi-Lovato-J-Balvin-severing-ties-Justin-Bieber-insists-standing-him.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">have split</a> from the famed music manager. But the reason has yet to be shared.
A source close to Braun disputed the reports and told <a href="https://pagesix.com/2023/08/22/scooter-braun-claims-justin-bieber-and-ariana-grande-are-still-his-clients/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Page Six</a> that his pop star clients are all still &#8220;under contract&#8221; and the music exec is just taking on a new role.
&#8220;All of Scooter Braun&#8217;s clients are under contract, and negotiations have been going on for several months as Scooter steps into his larger role as Hybe America CEO,&#8221; the source said. &#8220;People are spreading rumors based on what they know, but they are off. Scooter&#8217;s team at SB Projects are still handling both Justin and Ariana as they work through what this new structure looks like.&#8221;
Insiders said Braun was stepping away from day-to-day duties and is &#8220;getting out of management&#8221; altogether, <a href="https://variety.com/2023/music/news/scooter-braun-justin-bieber-ariana-grande-management-1235702184/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Variety</a> noted.
&#8220;He has been for years,&#8221; the source said. &#8220;That&#8217;s the real story.&#8221;
On Monday, <a href="https://www.billboard.com/pro/demi-lovato-leaves-manager-scooter-braun-sb-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Billboard</a> reported that the &#8220;Side to Side&#8221; hitmaker and Bieber had dropped Braun amid reports of trouble between the &#8220;Baby&#8221; hitmaker and his longtime manager. Grande, who worked with Scooter for a decade, reportedly has &#8220;outgrown him and is excited to go in a different direction,&#8221; the <a href="https://people.com/justin-bieber-hasnt-talked-scooter-braun-months-working-new-album-without-him-exclusive-7749937?hid=4f90b78dc31e627328d98338e1fa49d03b364abc&amp;did=10058380-20230823&amp;utm_source=ppl&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=people-news_newsletter&amp;utm_content=082323&amp;lctg=4f90b78dc31e627328d98338e1fa49d03b364abc" target="_blank" rel="noopener">outlet</a> noted.
However, reps for both of the singers have denied anything is wrong. While other sources told Page six &#8220;where there&#8217;s smoke, there&#8217;s fire.&#8221;
One insider told <a href="https://people.com/justin-bieber-hasnt-talked-scooter-braun-months-working-new-album-without-him-exclusive-7749937?hid=4f90b78dc31e627328d98338e1fa49d03b364abc&amp;did=10058380-20230823&amp;utm_source=ppl&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=people-news_newsletter&amp;utm_content=082323&amp;lctg=4f90b78dc31e627328d98338e1fa49d03b364abc" target="_blank" rel="noopener">People</a> magazine that for the first time in nearly two decades, Bieber was working on new music without Braun and that the two have not spoken in almost a year.
&#8220;Justin&#8217;s been working on his new record for the last six months,&#8221; an insider said. &#8220;Scooter and SB Projects have not set up one session or done one thing for this [new] record. The relationship with Scooter has run its course.&#8221;

Grande has been working with Braun since the release of her debut album “Yours Truly” in 2013. The “7 Rings” singer put out six albums while working with him and saw five of them reach number one on the Billboard 200, per <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-12431211/Ariana-Grande-dumps-Scooter-Braun-Hollywood-managers-career-crisis-7-Ringers-singer-joins-Demi-Lovato-J-Balvin-severing-ties-Justin-Bieber-insists-standing-him.html">Daily Mail</a>.
Fans reacted to Grande’s departure on social media, with most showing support for her decision. 
“Remember when Scooter Braun FORCED Ariana Grande to put a track on her album about her ex (Mac Miller) who had just passed away at the time,” one account posted on Instagram. 
Another agreed, saying, “She was clearly broken and yet he only thought about promotion. Ariana NEVER performed this song in her life. What an awful man!” 
At the same time news broke that Grande was leaving Braun and his company SB Projects, it was also announced that Lovato would be dropping the big-name talent manager. Braun’s most high-profile client is Justin Bieber, who he discovered as a young child and helped turn into an international pop icon. Rumors that Bieber was shopping around for new management and planned to fire Braun prompted the singer to issue a statement clarifying the situation. Reps for both Bieber and Braun categorized the rumors as “not true,” per <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-12421621/Justin-Bieber-DENIES-splitting-long-term-manager-Scooter-Braun.html">Daily Mail</a>.
One star who doesn’t have a good relationship with Braun is Taylor Swift. 
The country singer fought over the rights to her music which was written with her former record label, Big Machine Records. Braun purchased the company and became the owner of all of the masters, music videos, and artwork copyrighted by Big Machine, including Swift&#8217;s first six studio albums. Swift claimed she tried to purchase the masters back but was unable to.
Swift called Braun an &#8220;incessant, manipulative bully.&#8221; Their battle played out across the media and spurred conversations about artist rights and intellectual property in the music industry.

The lyrics are centered on Lovato’s disdain for anyone who believes abortion and promiscuous sex are immoral.

Former “Dance Moms” star <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">JoJo Siwa</a> recently headed to TikTok to share what she dubbed her “gay awakening.”
The 19-year-old <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/entertainment">singer</a> came out as <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/lgbtq">gay</a> in January 2021. Now she’s explaining how she came to that conclusion about her sexuality, citing fellow pop star Demi Lovato and actress Jenna Dewan as being influential at that time in her life.
Siwa tells the <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@itsjojosiwa/video/7150773745630711083?is_from_webapp=v1&amp;item_id=7150773745630711083&amp;web_id=7145109524898596398">story</a> with an instrumental version of Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl” playing in the video. Her caption says, “Enjoy.”
“One thing about me is when I was 12, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/demi-lovato">Demi Lovato</a> came out with a song, ‘Cool for the Summer.’ I really, really liked it and I listened to it all the time,” the “Boomerang” singer began.
“I didn’t know what it meant back then, but now that I’m much older I understand and I know what it means,” she said of Lovato’s song, which she says references experimenting sexually with other women.
“Don’t tell your mother/ Kiss one another / Die for each other/ We’re cool for the summer,” the lyrics say.
“Then a few years later, Jenna Dewan went on ‘Lip Sync Battle.’ She did a really great ‘Magic Mike’ number. I watched it every day,” Siwa continued in her TikTok video.
The former reality show star recalled how Dewan put on a white tank and red baseball hat that referenced her then-husband Channing Tatum’s “Magic Mike” character and performed the Ginuwine song “Pony.”
“Little me, she didn’t know she was gay until, a couple years later, a man was my first date and he wanted to have sex with me and I did not want to, never wanted to, grossed out by the thought of it, immediately knew men are not my thing,” Siwa continued.
“Women are my gig, gotta go,” she said at the conclusion of the TikTok video.  
This wasn’t the first time Siwa referred to her “gay awakening” or credited Lovato, who identifies as non-binary and bisexual, with being a big part of it.
The “Dance Moms” alum told Lovato during a podcast <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zd8wtqiqjZo">interview</a> in 2021 that watching the video for “Cool For the Summer,” especially dancer JoJo Gomez, made a huge impression. &#8220;I remember seeing that and being just a little too interested,&#8221; Siwa said of Gomez performing.
Lovato was thrilled to hear Siwa say that. She said that song was her way &#8220;of sharing with the world, without confirming, that I was bisexual… my way of saying &#8216;I&#8217;m not ready to come out, but….&#8217; I&#8217;m so happy you could see a little glimpse of that pride through that performance.&#8221;

Daily Wire host Candace Owens has never shied away from a confrontation, especially when it’s merited. 
The 33-year-old host of “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/show/candace">Candace Owens</a>” makes waves all the time for verbalizing hard truths, but some of the biggest reactions come from her willingness to question the most notorious offenders of all: Hollywood celebrities.
On the second episode of Candace’s new show, the mom of two delved into the weird world of the Kardashians. The host specifically focused on momager Kris Jenner who <a href="https://www.mercurynews.com/2022/09/13/kris-jenner-viewed-multiple-versions-of-kims-sex-tape-before-deciding-which-to-release-ray-j-says/">allegedly</a> watched several versions of her daughter Kim’s sex tape in 2007 and picked which one should be leaked to the press because it made Kim look the best.
Kim’s ex-boyfriend and sex tape participant, Ray-J, is the one who originally made the claims public. Candace called Kris’ viewing of her daughter’s sex tape “incestuous” by definition, and she labeled Kim as the “prostitute” and Kris as the “pimp.”
“There are really no words that can adequately describe how positively disgusted I am by the story,” Owens said on the Tuesday episode of her show, per <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/candace-owens-says-kim-kardashian-is-a-prostitute-mother-a-pimp-over-new-ray-j-allegations-about-infamous-sex-tape">The Daily Wire</a>.
“A mother sat down and decided to sell her daughter’s body for fame and money, and she was successful,” Candace continued. “Not only is that disgusting, but then that her plan worked. Kim Kardashian is a billionaire today, and she is, by the way, still selling sex.”
The Daily Wire host made no apologies for her assessment of the situation. “I now hold the opinion that Kim Kardashian is a prostitute,” she said. “And I’m not going to edit this opinion: Kim Kardashian is a prostitute; her mother is a pimp — worse than a prostitute.”
Candace went on to describe how Kim had become like so many other Hollywood celebrities who were willing to do anything to achieve fame, even if it meant sacrificing their integrity for money.
“Kim Kardashian is a corpse; she’s a body without a soul,” the podcast host continued. “She is so emblematic of the society that we live in today, that if you are willing to degrade yourself, if you are willing to denigrate yourself, then our society, our American society will give you more.”
“It is not an exaggeration to say that Hollywood is Satanic, because what could possibly be more Satanic than that?” Candace said. “What could possibly represent a more incestuous, if you will, relationship than a mother viewing her daughter’s body having sex and selling it?”
It’s not the first time the “Blackout” author has questioned the Kardashians and their parenting decision. Candace sided with Kanye West in February when he objected to his and Kim’s eight-year-old daughter, North, being on TikTok.
“There is no 8 year old in the world that needs social media. Go color,” Candace shared to <a href="https://twitter.com/realcandaceo/status/1489696187515080709?lang=en">Twitter</a>, weighing in on Kim allowing her daughter to be on the social media site. West and Kim were in the process of divorcing at the time.
“Kim is wrong on this one,” the podcast host wrote in a <a href="https://twitter.com/realcandaceo/status/1489695491210285057?lang=en">follow-up</a>. “The psychological effects of social media on young girls is real and documented. It’s actually Kanye that is trying to protect his daughter in this regard and Kim is spinning this as ‘obsession’ and ‘control.’ There are other creative outlets for kids.”
West thanked Candace for supporting him, then she <a href="https://twitter.com/realcandaceo/status/1490028638171017225?lang=en">followed up</a> by sharing his words and reiterating his last line, “I dream of a world where dads can still be heroes” along with a string of fire emojis.
The “Candace Owens” host has called out other Hollywood A-listers besides the Kardashians before for their behavior. In January, the host <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/candace-owens-goes-off-on-most-annoying-celebrity-demi-lovato-ive-never-seen-someone-who-needs-more-attention-in-my-life">identified</a> Demi Lovato as the “most annoying” celebrity because she’s constantly seeking attention and validation from the public.
“I would say, without question, the most annoying celebrity … is Demi Lovato” Owens said. “I’ve never seen someone who needs more attention in my life.”
“I don’t understand why people come to social media to overshare,” Owens remarked.
Continuing, she said, “I think the answer to it is because all they are looking for is someone in the comments to be like, ‘You’re so great, that’s amazing, you’re so amazing, oh my God, so brave for speaking out on your multiple personality disorder, me too, oh my God, you’re amazing’ … it’s like, actually the disorder that they’re suffering from is a need for attention on social media. And Demi very much has this disorder.”
“She just needs to have social media taken away from her,” Candace concluded.
Lovato had recently been making headlines for coming out as pansexual, shaving her head, and encouraging followers to “be a sl*t” and make porn.” Since then, she’s switched pronouns again and again and come out with a provocative new album featuring imagery that mocks Christianity.
Candace was also not shy about calling out renowned leftist Chrissy Teigen, who got into hot water with her own side when it was discovered that she had harassed a then-16-year-old conservative named <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/candace-owens-explains-why-shes-not-buying-the-chrissy-teigen-apology-still-a-malignant-sociopathic-narcissist">Courtney Stodden</a> and suggested that she kill herself. After a month of waiting, Teigen apologized, but Candace called her out for insincerity.

“This wasn’t some off-colored period of her life,” Owens continued. “It’s who she is.”
“FYI— someone on Chrissy Teigen’s team is deleting negative comments under her Instagram account to create the illusion that the world is forgiving her,” Candace continued in a follow-up. “This is little more than a carefully crafted Hollywood PR stunt. Some fans question why Candace involves herself in the sordid world of Hollywood and why it matters what celebrities do. The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/demi-lovato">30-year-old</a> actress/pop singer definitely got everyone&#8217;s attention on Tuesday when she made posts on social media about how she was feeling sick and couldn&#8217;t tour any longer, <a href="https://pagesix.com/2022/09/13/sick-demi-lovato-announces-holy-fvck-tour-will-be-her-last/?utm_source=P6Twitter&amp;utm_campaign=SocialFlow&amp;utm_medium=SocialFlow">Page Six</a> noted.
In the first one, the &#8220;Camp Rock&#8221; <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/sobriety-is-what-works-for-me-and-nothing-else-former-disney-star-says-shes-done-making-excuses">star</a> shared a snap that appeared to be taken from a hotel room. She wrote that &#8220;I&#8217;m so f***ing sick I can&#8217;t get out of bed,&#8221; the outlet noted.
A second one read, &#8220;I can&#8217;t do this anymore. This next tour will be my last. I love and thank you guys,&#8221; the outlet noted.
A short time later, the &#8220;Sober&#8221; hitmaker posted another message on her Instagram Stories that read, &#8220;Gonna power through it for you guys. I&#8217;ll need help singing so sing loud for me bb&#8217;s.&#8221; Her post also included a black heart emoji and sick face emoji.
There was no further information provided from Lovato as to what she meant by &#8220;this next tour.&#8221; It comes ahead of her concert in Tuesday night in Santiago, Chile, and she&#8217;s scheduled to kick off her &#8220;Holy Fvck&#8221; tour in the United States on September 22 in <a href="https://www.bandsintown.com/a/22843-demi-lovato">Wheatland, CA.</a> The dates included on her website for the tour show more than two dozen concerts she currently has scheduled across the country from September through November.
It is unclear from all the posts what health issues the superstar singer is ailing from.

In August, Lovato released her eighth album, &#8220;Holy Fvck,&#8221; and announced a world tour to support the new album.
The &#8220;Sorry Not Sorry&#8221; <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nobodys-perfect-disney-star-demi-lovato-explains-why-shes-going-back-to-she-her-pronouns">hitmaker</a> recently opened up about her longtime battle with alcohol and drugs and said it started when she was 13 because she was already being &#8220;bullied&#8221; and was &#8220;looking for an escape,&#8221; as <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/looking-for-an-escape-former-disney-star-says-she-started-getting-into-alcohol-and-drugs-at-13">The Daily Wire</a> previously reported.
&#8220;I started experimenting for the first time when I was 12, or 13,&#8221; Lovato explained during her appearance on the &#8220;Call Her Daddy&#8221; <a href="https://open.spotify.com/episode/0z8lON88xftN1xP161drGS?si=DG3lm8hbRcSAQwiYC8Lc7Q&amp;nd=1">podcast</a> with host Alex Cooper. &#8220;I got into a car accident and they prescribed me opiates.&#8221;
&#8220;My mom didn&#8217;t think she would have to lock up the opiates from her 13-year-old daughter, but I was already drinking at that point,&#8221; she added. &#8220;I had been bullied and was looking for an escape.&#8221;

Former Disney star Demi Lovato said she wished she had waited until she got her &#8220;s*** figured out&#8221; before releasing her documentaries detailing her battle with addiction and said &#8220;sobriety&#8221; is the only thing for her.
During the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/demi-lovato">30-year-old</a> singer/actress interview with <a href="https://www.altpress.com/demi-lovato-holy-fvck-interview/">Alternative Press</a>, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/survivors-guilt-disney-star-demi-lovato-talks-sobriety-battle-and-rough-time-after-overdose">Lovato</a> talked about her ongoing battle that she&#8217;s detailed in three different documentaries.
&#8220;Honestly, I&#8217;m really sick of watching myself, and I think other people probably are too,&#8221; the &#8220;Camp Rock&#8221; <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/looking-for-an-escape-former-disney-star-says-she-started-getting-into-alcohol-and-drugs-at-13">star</a> admitted. &#8220;And if they aren&#8217;t, then they can watch my music videos.&#8221;

In the &#8220;Sober&#8221; hitmaker&#8217;s documentary &#8220;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvxtPm4OGJ4">Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil</a>,&#8221; she opened up about her drug overdose and just how close she came to death, <a href="https://pagesix.com/2022/08/29/demi-lovato-says-she-regrets-making-her-documentaries/">Page Six</a> noted. Around the same time, she also <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/demi-lovato-gets-giant-spider-tattoo-on-head-after-reported-rehab-stay">shared</a> that she was &#8220;California Sober&#8221; when asked about her sobriety, meaning only smoking marijuana and drinking occasionally.
During a recent appearance on &#8220;The Zane Lowe Show on Apple Music,&#8221; Lovato talked about her sobriety, going back to rehab in 2021, and how she&#8217;s been dealing with the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/survivors-guilt-disney-star-demi-lovato-talks-sobriety-battle-and-rough-time-after-overdose">guilt of surviving</a> the overdose she had in July 2018.
&#8220;Everything that I write about comes from personal experiences, and I had gone through a rough time last year,&#8221; Lovato shared. &#8220;And I went back to treatment, and when I came out, I had all of this unresolved trauma that like I hadn&#8217;t dealt with, or that I started to deal with in treatment. And then when I came out, I was like, &#8216;It&#8217;s OK to be angry and feel those things.'&#8221;
However, for those that are still hoping to hear more about what the pop singer&#8217;s gone through in her struggle to go from Disney Channel star to now, she shared that that book has not been written, yet.
&#8220;My story&#8217;s not done, so I want to be able to say by the time I&#8217;ve written a book, ‘OK, this is me grown up.'&#8221;

Former <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/disney" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Disney</a> star <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/demi-lovato" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Demi Lovato</a> said her team took extreme measures to make her image “look thin,” which she said included barricading her into her hotel room once.
During the 30-year-old actress&#8217; Tuesday appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” <a href="https://open.spotify.com/episode/0z8lON88xftN1xP161drGS?si=SFPVKg9DSjScHuYGM4xpig">podcast</a> with Alex Cooper, the host asked Lovato in what ways her management team was “controlling her life” from “18 to 25.”  The superstar said that when “someone” came into the picture every aspect of her life “was controlled,” including what she was allowed to eat, which she said ultimately lead to her near-fatal overdose in July 2018.
“It became controlling around my food and for someone in recovery from an eating disorder, that&#8217;s so dangerous,” <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/survivors-guilt-disney-star-demi-lovato-talks-sobriety-battle-and-rough-time-after-overdose">Lovato</a> shared. “It actually exacerbated my eating disorder to the point where I became bulimic again. From 2016 to 2018 I was dealing with that.”

“I&#8217;ve never talked about this before but there was one time when I had binged and purged one night,” she added. “I came clean to my team and said, ‘Hey this happened.’ You know I snuck out of my hotel room because they didn&#8217;t let me have phones in my hotel rooms because they didn&#8217;t want me to call room service.”
“I didn&#8217;t have food in my hotel room, like snacks in the mini bar, because they didn&#8217;t want me to eat the snacks,” the singer continued. “After I told them what had happened, my security guard walked by my room, or was made aware that they had built, they&#8217;d like barricaded me into my hotel room. They&#8217;d put furniture outside of my door so that I couldn&#8217;t get out and sneak out and eat if I wanted to. So it was that level of controlling when it came to my food, which just made my eating disorder worse.”
The “Sober” <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/you-call-me-they-but-im-still-daddys-girl-demi-lovato-confuses-twitter-with-pronouns-again">hitmaker</a> said in 2017 things got worse and she said she knew she needed to go back to treatment to “get help.” But this same controlling person on her team told her, “‘You&#8217;re not sick enough.’” That was his way of saying, ‘No, you&#8217;re not going back to treatment because that&#8217;ll look bad on me.’ So I didn&#8217;t. I didn&#8217;t go back into treatment.”
Lovato explained how at that point, she “felt trapped” and decided the only way she could “get out” was to overdose and blow “everything up,” which is exactly what happened in 2018.
“You know, less than a year later I ended up overdosing,” the “Heart Attack” hitmaker said. “And so I think it was like, I felt trapped. I felt like I couldn&#8217;t get out of this situation. And my way of blowing everything up was relapsing on drugs and alcohol. Because they always said, ‘If you use, we&#8217;re out,’ and I was like, alright, time to get out. Bye.”
