<p><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/megyn-kelly">Megyn Kelly</a> slammed the &#8220;insane lunatics&#8221; who attacked swimming champion <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/riley-gaines">Riley Gaines</a> on Thursday, calling the ambush &#8220;sick and infuriating.&#8221;</p>
<p>The host of the Sirius XM &#8220;The Megyn Kelly Show&#8221; tweeted a video Friday that showed Gaines being <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/swim-champ-riley-gaines-attacked-by-radical-trans-mob-forced-to-barricade">attacked</a> by a mob of radical transgender activists during her appearance at San Francisco State University.</p>
<p>&#8220;These insane lunatics attacked [Riley Gaines] for speaking up about women&#8217;s rights,&#8221; Kelly wrote.</p>
<p>&#8220;(Riley tied w/Lia Thomas &#8211; a man pretending to be a woman — in the NCAA competition.)&#8221; she added. &#8220;This is SICK and INFURIATING. They must be fought. They must be defeated.&#8221;</p>

<p>Gaines, a former University of Kentucky star who was deprived of an NCAA award by biological male trans-identifying swimmer Lia Thomas, was at the school as part of a Turning Point USA event. Video on social media shows Gaines being hustled to safety by police officers as a mob of radical transgender activists follows her.</p>

<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m okay currently, but an hour and a half later, I&#8217;m still barricaded in a room with ambushers on the outside yelling and threatening violence,&#8221; Gaines later told the <a href="https://thepostmillennial.com/breaking-riley-gaines-violently-assaulted-at-sfsu-event-sponsored-by-tpusa">Post Millennial</a>. &#8220;As police escorted me out of the event space to my current location, I was hit, physically, twice by what I presume was a male individual. This only assures me I&#8217;m doing the right thing.&#8221;</p>
<p>Kelly has been very outspoken about transgender issues, specifically biological men competing in women&#8217;s sports. Recently, she sat down with Daily Wire Editor Emeritus <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/author/ben-shapiro">Ben Shapiro</a> on &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/we-have-to-fight-megyn-kelly-ben-shapiro-talk-wokeism-transgenderism-and-more-on-new-episode-of-the-search">The Search</a>&#8221; and admitted that when it comes to the transgender debate, her opinions have changed.</p>
<p>Kelly told Shapiro she&#8217;s now crossed the &#8220;Rubicon&#8221; and gone from telling others to be tolerant to being an &#8220;activist&#8221; against men being in girls&#8217; spaces.</p>
<p>&#8220;Like, get out, get out of our swimming pools, get out of our locker rooms, get off of our track meets, get out of there,&#8221; the former NBC host said. &#8220;We&#8217;ll find an accommodation for you. Hopefully you&#8217;ll get the help you need. But we are not surrendering girlhood or womanhood to you and your mental issues.&#8221;</p>
