Former collegiate swimmer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/riley-gaines" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Riley Gaines</a> tore into Georgia Tech President, Dr. Angel Cabrera, for failing to intervene when it became clear that the NCAA was going to allow a biological male to not only compete against the females, but to have full access to their locker rooms while they were changing as well.
Gaines spoke on Tuesday before the Georgia General Assembly’s Special Committee on Protecting Women’s Sports, where she called Cabrera out for allowing trans-identifying swimmer Lia Thomas to compete against and change alongside the women who had worked their entire lives to get to the NCAA championship. Prior to her appearance, <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/sports/riley-gaines-rips-georgia-tech-president-remarks-lawmakers-why-didnt-you-protect-me" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fox News Digital</a> obtained a copy of her prepared remarks.
&#8220;Dr. Cabrera, you knew that a 6’4&#8243; fully intact man was coming to compete against me, my teammates, and my competitors in the 2022 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming &amp; Diving National Championships. Do you have a daughter? You could have stopped it, you could have at least said, ‘not here, not on the campus of Georgia Tech University,’ but you did not,&#8221; Gaines said. &#8220;You had the chance at the outset to bring a sane, rational, science-based perspective to the protection of women’s sport, but you looked the other way, and you did nothing. Why didn’t you intervene? The scientific evidence for immense male performance advantages in sport is overwhelming — I don&#8217;t have to explain that to you or this committee, but you ignored the science to the harm of women.&#8221;
Gaines went on to say that officials had known Thomas, still a fully-intact male, would be changing in close proximity to the women — and that they would have no ability to escape the situation.

&#8220;This was intentional, premeditated, sexual harassment, and it happened right here, in the capitol city of the State of Georgia, just a few blocks away the grounds of Georgia Tech University,&#8221; Gaines said. &#8220;Because you did nothing, that man walked into the women’s locker room at your university and saw me undressed down to nothing. I did not even know he had access to the women’s locker room until I heard a man’s voice and turned around and saw him a few feet in front of me, and I was unclothed. You allowed college women to be traumatized on your campus in this way. Why didn’t you protect me? Why didn’t you protect us?&#8221;
Gaines called on Cabrera to respond, saying that the Georgia Tech President could &#8220;redeem&#8221; himself by speaking up now, adding, &#8220;Thousands of women across this country and hundreds of girls who dream of swimming for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and more broadly who dream of competing in sports at all look forward to your response.&#8221;

Satan is pleased,&#8221; <a href="https://x.com/Riley_Gaines_/status/1825939315698123185">Gaines</a>, the former collegiate swimmer and outspoken advocate for women in female sports wrote on X in response to a post from pro-life leader and Live Action founder Lila Rose about how many abortions Planned Parenthood said it had performed on Monday.
Rose’s post <a href="https://x.com/LilaGraceRose/status/1825783441662890277">read</a>, “Planned Parenthood staff is saying that on the first day of the DNC, they did ten free abortions. Ten helpless babies have been sacrificed so far at the DNC death cult. There are no words to express the sheer horror.”

Daily Wire co-founder, co-CEO Boreing also reacted to the news and wrote on <a href="https://x.com/JeremyDBoreing/status/1825910845500477482">X</a>, “It’s hard to imagine there was that much rape and incest just the first day of the DNC.”
Comedian Tim Young posted on <a href="https://x.com/TimRunsHisMouth/status/1825957276131406191">X</a> about the news, “How mentally ill do you have to be to get an abortion from a truck at the DNC?”
Pro-life news site, LifeNews, posted on Tuesday on <a href="https://x.com/LifeNewsHQ/status/1825971764905795999">X</a> that the number of abortions during the convention was reportedly even higher.
“Planned Parenthood has killed 25 babies in free abortions so far at the Democrat convention,” the post read. “They were 25 little boys and girls whose lives were made in God&#8217;s image. Our hearts break for them.”
Ahead of the convention, Planned Parenthood announced that it would be in the Windy City during the convention offering “free abortions and vasectomies this week” near the convention, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/planned-parenthood-bus-offering-free-abortions-vasectomies-outside-dnc">reported</a>.
The “mobile health clinic” is reportedly parked about a half mile down the street from the convention offering services on the first two days of the gathering.
Appointments are already entirely booked out, and there is a waiting list for vasectomies, according to Planned Parenthood Great Rivers, which covers the St. Louis area and sent the bus.
The Planned Parenthood affiliate said it would take more appointments if people canceled. Free emergency contraception will also be available without an appointment at the mobile clinic.
While a majority of Americans <a href="https://news.gallup.com/poll/321143/americans-stand-abortion.aspx">oppose</a> abortions past the first trimester, a majority identify as “pro-choice” and support abortions early in pregnancy.
Democrats have hammered the abortion issue throughout the election cycle and are expected to continue to emphasize it over the course of the DNC this week.

As the 2024 Olympics kick off in Paris this week, we’re thinking of all of our female athletes – some whose right to compete on the biggest stage in the world was nearly stripped in the name of inclusion. After participating and winning accolades in the female NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, Lia Thomas sought legal action to be allowed to pursue a spot on the U.S. women’s national team in Paris. Had the challenge been successful, Thomas would have <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/sports/laurel-hubbard-is-the-first-transgender-athlete-to-compete-in-olympics" target="_blank" rel="noopener">joined</a> New Zealand weightlifter and Tokyo Olympian, Laurel Hubbard, in receiving praise from the Left for “making history” or <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2021/jul/29/ioc-praises-weightlifter-laurel-hubbard-ahead-of-transgender-athletes-olympic-debut" target="_blank" rel="noopener">exuding</a> “courage.”
But there is nothing historic about turning back the clocks 50 years to a time when women did not have an equal playing field. And there’s nothing courageous about stealing opportunities that women have worked towards for their entire lives.
Not too long ago, these statements were considered non-controversial and indisputable. Women were championed for their successes in athletics – receiving trophies, scholarships, and recognition for their leadership. But that all changed when the Biden administration entered the White House.
In just under four years, Joe Biden and the radical Left have completely overhauled Title IX protections and erased equal opportunity for women in order to fit their woke narrative.
It all began with a simple question: can you provide a definition for the word &#8216;woman&#8217;? It’s not a trick question, and yet, a female nominee for the Supreme Court of the United States could not answer because she wasn’t “a biologist.” On the surface, that might not seem like a big deal, and it was shrugged off by many liberal commentators. In reality, Justice Jackson’s inability to give an uncomplicated definition raises serious questions about her willingness to protect women, especially in cases relating to Title IX.

It’s almost laughable how quickly the Democrats rushed to mimic the hypocrisy. Since Justice Jackson’s viral moment, Merriam-Webster <a href="https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2022/jul/20/merriam-webster-includes-gender-identity-updated-d/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">changed</a> its definition of the word ‘female,’ Michelle Obama <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10823393/Michelle-Obama-raises-eyebrows-using-word-womxn.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">used</a> the term ‘womxn’ in a social media post, and the Justice herself <a href="https://thefederalist.com/2024/06/27/justice-ketanji-brown-jackson-still-wont-say-the-word-woman/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">referred</a> to pregnant women as “pregnant patients” in a dissenting opinion.
Imagine that: the Party that loves to brag about how pro-woman they are, can’t even define the term, let alone bring themselves to say the word. After all, with so many pronouns in today’s world, why should being a woman be so special?
Respectively, as a female United States Senator and a former 12x All-American swimmer with direct experience of this injustice, we have both been given unique voices to stand up against the movement by the Left to erase women’s sports. In our home state of Tennessee, we know the difference between a man and a woman. We know that men do not belong in women’s sports. We know that women are uniquely gifted and should be recognized for their accomplishments. It’s all common sense.
But that’s not the case everywhere, and the Left would love nothing more than to get us all to conform to their standards. The war against women is no longer hypothetical, and while Lia Thomas may have lost the battle this time, the Left’s persistence knows no bounds. Allowing males to compete against females will be the new norm for Americans competing at every level — including at the 2028 Olympics — if something isn’t done.
That’s why we will <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYDxtTuTC6o" target="_blank" rel="noopener">keep up the fight</a> — whether it&#8217;s in Washington, in the media, or in the sports arena. Future generations of girls depend on us to preserve the equality that generations before us fought so hard to achieve.

Hall of Fame football coach Lou Holtz offered high praise on Thursday for women&#8217;s sports advocate Riley Gaines.
Holtz, who famously led six different college football teams to bowl games, said that Gaines is &#8220;standing up for fairness&#8221; and had strong words for men who &#8220;lie&#8221; about their sex to play sports with women.

Gaines is a former University of Kentucky swimmer who tied with trans-identifying male swimmer Lia Thomas for fifth place at the 2022 NCAA championships. Gaines left the competition that day <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/04/04/swimmer-who-tied-lia-thomas-taken-aback-in-trophy-handling/">with</a> a sixth-place trophy after officials decided to give Thomas the fifth-place trophy.
In the years since, Gaines has been a vocal advocate for women&#8217;s sports, arguing that biological men who identify as women should not be allowed to compete against women or use their locker rooms.
She has spoken out against the Biden administration&#8217;s rewrite of Title IX, the 1972 federal civil rights law prohibiting sex-based discrimination at schools receiving federal funding.
“In a nutshell, the new rewrite means, men can take academic AND athletic scholarships from women,” Gaines <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/riley-gaines-says-biden-has-abolished-title-ix-breaks-down-what-this-means-for-women">said</a>. “Men will have FULL access to bathrooms, locker rooms, etc. Men could be housed in dorm rooms with women.”
“Students and faculty MUST compel their speech by requiring the use of preferred pronouns,” she continued. “If the guidelines above are ignored or even questioned, then YOU can be charged with harassment.”
Critics have brought up several serious concerns about biological males playing alongside women and girls.
Some female competitors have said they missed out on opportunities and scholarships because they lost to trans-identifying males.
Also, high school girls have been injured playing with trans-identifying males. Last year in North Carolina, a female high school volleyball player <a href="https://www.nationalreview.com/news/female-high-school-volleyball-athlete-suffers-serious-head-injury-after-transgender-player-throws-abnormally-fast-ball/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">suffered</a> severe trauma to her head and neck after a trans-identifying male player spiked a volleyball that hit her head.
Holtz&#8217;s storied career includes a long list of college football teams including a decade coaching the Fighting Irish at Notre Dame, which now has a statue of him on campus.
He also coached the teams at William &amp; Mary, North Carolina State, University of Arkansas, University of Minnesota, and University of South Carolina. Holtz had a brief foray into the NFL in 1976 as well, coaching the New York Jets for less than a year.

Activists in Carrboro, North Carolina — near Chapel Hill — vandalized a tour bus promoting women&#8217;s sports advocates on their &#8220;<a href="https://ourbodiesoursports.com/bus" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Take Back Title IX</a>&#8221; summer bus tour, scrawling profane and anti-woman messages all over the outside of the bus as well as pelting it with eggs.
The Independent Women&#8217;s Forum is promoting the tour, which features a number of prominent female athletes — among them former collegiate swimmers Riley Gaines and Paula Scanlan and tennis legend Martina Navratilova — and shared photos and video of the bus after it had been vandalized.

<a href="https://www.xx-xyathletics.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener">XX-XY Athletics</a>, a sportswear company founded by former Levi Strauss &amp; Co President Jennifer Sey — and backed by former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines — has reportedly received a permanent ban from TikTok over a video advertisement promoting and defending women&#8217;s sports.
Sey shared the news — and the ad — via X on Tuesday, saying, &#8220;When you run an ad standing up for women and girls&#8217; sports, you get banned for life from @tiktok_us. Here&#8217;s the ad. Offensive, right?&#8221;
&#8220;If you think girls&#8217; and women&#8217;s equality matter, stand up,&#8221; the ad begins. &#8220;If you think girls&#8217; and women&#8217;s sports matter, and you want your daughters to have the same opportunity you had, stand up. If you know that it isn&#8217;t fair — or safe — to allow males to compete in girls sports because it&#8217;s, well, obvious, stand up.&#8221;
&#8220;Don&#8217;t be cowed by people who call you a bigot. You&#8217;re not a bigot,&#8221; it continues. &#8220;Don&#8217;t let men tell us how to be &#8216;good&#8217; girls. Former collegiate swimmer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/riley-gaines">Riley Gaines</a> reacted to the news that trans-identifying male swimmer Lia Thomas lost his challenge to compete in the Olympics in women’s swimming events.
In a post on Wednesday on <a href="https://x.com/Riley_Gaines_/status/1800949740739457262">X</a>, Gaines reposted a <a href="https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/news/transgender-swimmer-lia-thomas-loses-163220668.html">Yahoo Sports</a> headline that read, “Transgender swimmer Lia Thomas loses legal challenge in CAS [Court of Arbitration for Sport] ruling.” 
&#8221; The CAS panel found that &#8216;for the time being&#8217; she is not eligible to compete in elite competitions through World Aquatics or USA Swimming, so the policy does not apply to her,&#8221; the outlet reported.
&#8220;[Thomas] is currently only entitled to compete in USA Swimming events that do not qualify as &#8216;Elite Events,'&#8221; according to the arbitral award.
“Great news! Lia Thomas won&#8217;t be able to compete in women&#8217;s category at the Olympics or any other elite competition,” Gaines wrote to her one million followers. 
“He has just lost his legal battle in Court of Arbitration for Sport ruling,” she added, calling it a “victory for women and girls everywhere.”
The post has since gone viral with more than 1.3 million views at the time of this publication.

The former swimmer wasn’t the only one <a href="https://twitchy.com/artistangie/2024/06/12/lia-thomas-loses-court-battle-against-world-aquatics-n2397226">reacting</a> to the news, with many taking to social media to celebrate the decision.
“Common sense for the win,” one person wrote.
Another added, “Do I agree with biology? Yes, yes I do.”
In a statement about the decision, World Aquatics called it &#8220;a major step forward in our efforts to protect women&#8217;s sport.&#8221;
&#8220;World Aquatics is dedicated to fostering an environment that promotes fairness, respect, and equal opportunities for athletes of all genders and we reaffirm this pledge,&#8221; the statement said. &#8220;Our policies and practices are continuously evaluated to ensure they align with these core values, which led to the introduction of our open category.”
&#8220;We remain committed to working collaboratively with all stakeholders to uphold the principles of inclusivity in aquatic sports and remain confident that our gender inclusion policy represents a fair approach,” the statement concluded.

The former swimmer made headlines when she talked about how unfair it was having to swim against Thomas in 2022 and how uncomfortable it was changing in the locker room with Thomas.

In a new “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/defending-the-integrity-of-women-s-sports-riley-gaines-member-exclusive" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sunday Special</a>” interview, Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro spoke to Riley Gaines about her experience competing against a trans-identifying man and asked her about the current state of women&#8217;s sports.
Shapiro noted that Gaines has a new book out, &#8220;Swimming Against the Current: Fighting for Common Sense in a World That’s Lost its Mind,&#8221; which hit bookstore shelves on Tuesday. In her book, Gaines discusses her experience and addresses hot button questions about women and sports in America.
During their hour-long discussion, Gaines recalled what it felt like to swim against — and tie with — trans-identifying biological male Lia Thomas during the 2022 NCAA championship.
&#8220;How exactly did you go about dealing with that?&#8221; Shapiro asked Gaines.
Gaines explained that her school, the University of Kentucky, made it clear to the women&#8217;s swim team that, &#8220;we have already taken your stance for you,&#8221; she said.
&#8220;So there was a lot of fear, really. I mean, the threats and the intimidation that they had instilled at the time, that to me seemed real, which now I realize what a bunch of mumbo jumbo, all that stuff was. That was not based in reality at all,&#8221; she said.
&#8220;But nonetheless, upon getting to the meet those feelings of intriguement and curiosity and feeling like we were in this circus shifted immediately to feelings of heartbreak, really. I mean, I think that&#8217;s the best way to put it. I&#8217;ll never forget that first day,&#8221; Gaines said.
Gaines recounted how when she tied with Thomas in one race, an official told her that they only had one trophy and it had to go to Thomas.
&#8220;The NCAA official looks at both Thomas and myself, Thomas towering over me, and the official says, &#8216;Great job you two, but you tied and we only have one trophy. So we&#8217;re going to give the trophy to Lia. Sorry, Riley, you don&#8217;t get one,'&#8221; Gaines remembered.
When she asked why, the official told her they had been advised that it was crucial Thomas was holding the trophy when photos were taken.
&#8220;That&#8217;s what the unfair competition looked like,&#8221; Gaines said.
The trophy incident was the moment she decided she had to do something, Gaines said. Since then, the former University of Kentucky swimmer has been an outspoken advocate for girls’ sports.
&#8220;Since then I&#8217;ve only been reassured that the stand that I have taken unapologetically and firmly is in fact the right stand,&#8221; Gaines told Shapiro. &#8220;I never questioned this, but the vitriol that I face, the anger, the violence in many instances that I face for merely saying that there are two sexes and that you can&#8217;t change your sex and that each sex is deserving of equal opportunity, privacy and safety.&#8221;
Gaines also described how uncomfortable it was to have a &#8220;fully naked, fully intact man&#8221; changing in the locker room with them.
&#8220;It&#8217;s awkward. It&#8217;s embarrassing. It&#8217;s uncomfortable. I think the best words to describe the locker room atmosphere was I mean, it felt like betrayal. It was an utter violation, and it was traumatic,&#8221; she said.
Gaines also criticized President Biden&#8217;s administration for its &#8220;illegal administrative rewrite of Title IX,&#8221; the 1972 federal civil rights law prohibiting sex-based discrimination at schools receiving federal funding.
Last month, the Education Department <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/riley-gaines-says-biden-has-abolished-title-ix-breaks-down-what-this-means-for-women" target="_blank" rel="noopener">unveiled</a> new Title IX regulations to prohibit schools from enforcing blanket bans on trans-identifying males in girls’ sports set to take effect in August.
&#8220;It doesn&#8217;t make sense, but that&#8217;s their goal, is to blur the lines of objective truth, of biological reality,&#8221; Gaines said.
However, Gaines said she also sees reasons to be hopeful.
&#8220;I certainly believe that the tide is turning,&#8221; she said. &#8220;I mean, truth and sanity, they always prevail. It&#8217;s kind of just a matter of how long do we have to endure this, how many girls have to lose out, how many girls have to be injured, how many girls have to be exploited in locker rooms before people find it necessary and worthwhile and urgent, quite frankly, to take action.&#8221;
Shapiro asked the former college swimmer, &#8220;What is your message to female athletes who are rising right now and facing these challenges on a real time basis?&#8221;
&#8220;Well, first and foremost, I encourage every single person to play sports,&#8221; Gaines responded. &#8220;But my message to those young girls who are, who might face this or who fear facing this is to be bold, be brave, be courageous, don&#8217;t be scared to talk about it. I was. But when I finally got the courage to not really walk on eggshells anymore, to have the conversation with people around me, my teammates, what have you, I realized they all agreed with me.&#8221;

When swimmers hear the words “Take your mark” before a race, it’s an invitation to the calm before the storm. A true competitor thrives in this moment because it’s when they decide whether they are going to win or lose. 
When you take your mark, you know the challenge ahead. And, ready or not, you’re diving into the pool.
Even a year and a half since I have retired from competitive swimming, every day I wake up and it feels like I’m taking my mark. And in the spirit of transparency, there are days in which my advocacy and activism feel much like sprinting in mud. Sometimes I wonder if any of the work I’m doing is making any difference at all. 
It’s when I get emails, text messages, or DMs from girls and women, and even men, who share their journeys of courage in standing up for themselves or others that I remind myself, no matter how slow the progress in a positive direction, progress is progress.
What is the solution for all this madness? Can there be a solution where inclusion doesn’t jeopardize safety and fairness? We’ll only find out if we’re willing and able to have conversations with those who disagree with us. That is how we advance and unify.
I want to challenge you as to how to wield the power you have. You readers are parents, coaches, athletes, students, teachers, community builders, pastors, medical professionals, Christians and advocates of faith, and sensible human beings who want to maintain the rights that women have fought for over the last several hundred years. You are passionate about upholding reality rather than a false façade that will only continue to progress in a way that’s detrimental to life as we know it.
Above all else, speak the truth. This is a winning issue.

For parents: Stand up for your child even if it means standing against the world. Be willing to defend your daughters. We can’t allow this battle and psychological manipulation to fall entirely on the shoulders of young girls. Teach your sons healthy masculinity. Boys should learn the value of growing into a strong man. Get involved in whatever way you can, whether that’s attending school board meetings or coaching your child’s Little League team. Make sure to teach your kids how to stick up for themselves. 
For coaches and teachers: Be the voice of the voiceless. Create and cultivate a healthy environment where all opinions can be voiced without fear of repercussions. You have one of the most powerful platforms in a young person’s life. You can impact more young people in a year than most people are awarded in a lifetime, so use it to the child’s benefit. 
For girls: Don’t get discouraged. You are worthy. And you are deserving of the same opportunities that I was fortunate enough to have. You are not defined by the thoughts in a man’s head. Speak up for yourselves and others when you see an injustice or feel wronged. 
For women: Stop waiting for someone else to defend your rights for you. The war on women is real and among us. It’s time to take back our language and our spaces. For those women who have been unapologetically speaking out, keep going. I know it can feel as if you are screaming into an empty void, but the tide is turning, and you are needed now more than ever. 
For men: The world and our nation are suffering from a lack of strong masculine leadership. Be the change in restoring strength and success. We must all fight this together.
For pastors, preachers, ministry leaders, and fellow Christians: Don’t shy away from talking about cultural issues that are relevant in our intensely divisive cultural climate. We can discuss these issues in a respectful and compassionate way that still embodies Jesus’s love and purpose. He balanced truth and grace so well.
For everyone: Please don’t wait until you’re directly impacted before taking a stand for truth and common sense. How many girls have to be injured in their sports before you take a stand? How many girls have to lose out on opportunities? Or be exploited in a locker room? How many children have to live with the regret of mutilating themselves through hormonal or surgical means?
Even if you don’t play sports, even if you don’t have a daughter, even if you’re not a female, the issue of female-only spaces still affects you. Unfortunately, it took a crisis moment to compel me to push back and ask the necessary questions. If each one of us waits until we are directly impacted, it will be too late.
What are you waiting for? Take your mark.

Take Your Mark: A Practical Guide For Defending Women, Girls, And Biological Truth

After my film &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/videos/what-is-a-woman" target="_blank" rel="noopener">What is a Woman?</a>&#8221; became one of the most-watched documentaries of all-time, there were a couple of different responses that Leftists could have had. The easiest response would have been to simply answer the question in the title. 
Trans activists, the media, and politicians had the opportunity to provide a coherent, non-circular definition for the word &#8220;woman&#8221; — and then they would have immediately won the argument. That&#8217;s all they had to do. But, of course, trans ideology can&#8217;t provide a coherent definition of the word &#8220;woman,&#8221; so they refused to do it when I interviewed several of them for the film. And they haven&#8217;t been able to do it in the nearly two years since.
Instead, as I&#8217;ve discussed before, the Left lied about the film. They accused me of &#8220;transphobia&#8221; for allowing trans activists to explain — or rather, fail to explain — what they believe. But they didn&#8217;t stop there. On top of all the lies, one of the most powerful technology platforms in the county embarked on an effort to prevent me from speaking about the film. This platform, called Eventbrite, also tried to shut down screenings of the documentary. They claimed any event screening the film, or discussing it, violated their &#8220;Hateful Events Policy.&#8221; 
If you&#8217;re not familiar with Eventbrite, it controls roughly 50% of the event management and registration market. They&#8217;re hard to avoid, even if you want to. And on at least seven occasions, they canceled events involving &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/videos/what-is-a-woman" target="_blank" rel="noopener">What is a Woman?</a>&#8220;, often costing event organizers like YAF thousands of dollars.
At the time, it seemed like just another example of a Left-wing company silencing political dissent. Stop me if you&#8217;ve heard that one before.
But the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation decided to look deeper into what&#8217;s going on. Under the leadership of ranking member Ted Cruz (R-TX), the committee launched a congressional investigation into several instances in which online service providers canceled services for conservative organizations and speakers. The committee probed Eventbrite, and many other companies like it, to understand what was going on internally at these companies when they made these decisions to censor conservatives. And today, we can bring you the results of that investigation, exclusively.
Here&#8217;s the topline finding from their report, which outlines the Left&#8217;s strategy for attacking the freedom of speech and association: 
<blockquote>This investigation revealed that Online Service Providers are following a new playbook for silencing conservatives that leftist organizations — including the notoriously biased Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and Anti-Defamation League (ADL)—concocted: &#8216;removing infrastructure services&#8217; that conservative organizations &#8216;need to operate&#8217; by weaponizing their terms of service.</blockquote>
In other words, what Eventbrite did to &#8220;What is a Woman?&#8221; is part of a much larger effort to deplatform anyone who disagrees with the Left, particularly on the issue of transgenderism. This is their answer to me — as well as to Libs of TikTok, swimmer Riley Gaines, and nonprofits like the Independent Women&#8217;s Forum. They can&#8217;t debate us. They have to shut us down and prevent us from speaking.

The committee&#8217;s investigation exposes this effort, in great detail, for the total fraud that it is. Publicly, companies like Eventbrite will claim that they&#8217;re combating &#8220;hate&#8221; and &#8220;disinformation&#8221; when they shut down events featuring my film, for example. But in reality, the committee found, no one at Eventbrite even watched &#8220;What is a Woman?&#8221; before they decided to ban all events themed around the film.
As the report states: 
<blockquote>Eventbrite admitted to the Committee that no one involved in the decision watched What Is a Woman? film before cancelling the events. Eventbrite could not even identify a single timestamp in the trailer that it deemed to violate the Eventbrite Community Guidelines. According to Eventbrite: &#8216;[t]he overall tone and message of the all-encompassing trailer, in combination with Matt Walsh’s related public statements, helped determine the removals—not any individual timestamp.&#8217;</blockquote>
To restate, because this really is incredible: A Big Tech platform banned events involving my film, saying these events violated their &#8220;hateful events policy,&#8221; without even watching the film.
According to the committee, Eventbrite has a “Trust and Safety Team” that consists of at least 12 full-time employees who review every single case. Eventbrite describes these employees as &#8220;experts.&#8221; Experts in what? What are their qualifications? That’s never explained. But they certainly aren’t experts in the film because none of these &#8220;experts&#8221; saw the film that they wanted to ban. Instead, they looked at non-specific parts of the trailer, and my public statements. 
So let&#8217;s review. Here&#8217;s the first 45 seconds or so of the trailer for &#8220;What is a Woman?&#8221;, which is probably more than Eventbrite&#8217;s experts watched:

That is the alleged &#8220;hateful content&#8221; that, apparently, Eventbrite finds disqualifying. No one can use Eventbrite to show the film or even discuss it. It&#8217;s not exactly convincing. So, maybe to cover their bases, Eventbrite told the committee that they banned my events for a few other reasons. Specifically, they said my public statements were hateful.
What public statements, exactly? Eventbrite provided three examples — all of them are from before the film was released. 
The first example is my appearance on a Dr. Phil episode entitled &#8220;The Gender Pronoun Debate,&#8221; from January 19, 2022. The whole episode runs for the better part of an hour, and again, there&#8217;s basically no chance that Eventbrite&#8217;s experts watched it. But here&#8217;s a representative part:

According to Eventbrite, the fact that I used the words &#8220;mental illness,&#8221; &#8220;charade,&#8221; and &#8220;theatrical production&#8221; to describe men who pretend to be women, and vice versa, is evidence that I&#8217;m a very hateful person, and I shouldn&#8217;t be allowed to host events.
Additionally, Eventbrite says that in a May 2021 episode of this show, I discussed gender surgeries being performed on children — including double mastectomies — as morally akin to rape and child molestation. Apparently, that&#8217;s hateful. If you have a problem with child butchery, then Eventbrite won&#8217;t allow you to have a platform. They’re right, by the way. It is hateful. I do hate this kind of abuse against children.
There was one other objection that Eventbrite made, concerning the children&#8217;s book I wrote called &#8220;<a href="https://www.amazon.com/Johnny-Walrus-Matt-Walsh/dp/1956007059" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Johnny The Walrus</a>.&#8221; Of course, they didn&#8217;t actually read this book, anymore than they watched my film. I can’t blame them though. The book is probably above their reading level. But it was featured at the beginning of my appearance on the Dr. Phil show, which is how I assume they heard about it. So the book, as you probably know, is about a little boy who pretends to be a walrus. People encourage him to start changing his appearance and getting surgery to transform into a walrus. And the book takes the position that this is a bad idea. It teaches that human children should recognize that they are human children, not walruses. But to Eventbrite, this is apparently a problem. They told the committee that it&#8217;s hate, so it’s bad.
The funny thing is that, as the committee&#8217;s investigation makes clear, Eventbrite doesn&#8217;t really know what their hateful conduct policy even says. Either that or they lied to the committee. 
As the report reads: 
<blockquote>On February 27—days before the March 1 event—Eventbrite removed the event’s page from its website and notified the organizer that it had done so because the event violated the Eventbrite Community Guidelines. Eventbrite told the Committee that it sends a standard notification when removing an event for violating its Hateful Events Policy. As reflected in the figure below, however, in the version Eventbrite sent to the organizers of the Stanford event, Eventbrite directly stated that the problem with the Matt Walsh event was that it &#8216;expresse[d] views&#8217; that violated the Eventbrite Terms of Service.</blockquote>
In other words, Eventbrite&#8217;s standard &#8220;Hateful Events Policy&#8221; doesn&#8217;t say anything about prohibiting certain views. They wrote up a custom notification just for one of my events, and then apparently forgot about it. This kind of ad hoc reasoning is extremely common on the Left and particularly among online service providers. It&#8217;s yet another symptom of an ideology without any real principles.
As I alluded to earlier, of course, this isn&#8217;t just affecting me. The committee outlines numerous other instances of online platforms shutting down events for conservatives, including a November 2023 event featuring the swimmer Riley Gaines at UC Davis. 
The school&#8217;s College Republicans worked with Eventbrite to set up a registration page so that students could sign up and attend for free. But in late November, Eventbrite canceled the whole thing. They notified the organizers that events cannot espouse hatred or harass anyone based on a series of characteristics, including sexual orientation, national origin, immigration status, gender identity, religion, ethnicity, or disability. Notably, Eventbrite doesn&#8217;t prohibit hatred based on &#8220;sex discrimination,&#8221; so it&#8217;s okay to deride women and pretend they don&#8217;t exist. Trans activists are free to do that all they want.
But Riley Gaines was shut down — not because of anything on her event page, but because she previously made social media posts affirming that biology is real. One of the posts cited by Eventbrite is an October 10, 2023, post from Gaines, in which she says:
<blockquote>Women are not menstruators, bleeders, chestfeeders, cervix-havers, uterus-owners, egg-producers, or people with birthing capacity. Women are just women. Adult human females.</blockquote>
According to Eventbrite, which apparently makes up its standards as it goes, that&#8217;s hateful conduct.
Along those lines, the committee investigated the communications platform Slack for canceling the workspace of Libs of TikTok. Slack informed the committee: 
<blockquote>[w]hat makes [Libs of TikTok] problematic is that Libs of TikTok has a specific audience, and they are taking this information and posting it to that specific audience so that everyone in that audience sees it at the same time.</blockquote>
Now, I&#8217;ve read that explanation about five times, and it still doesn&#8217;t make any sense. But as best I can tell, they&#8217;re admitting that nothing Libs of TikTok said was objectionable. And really, it couldn&#8217;t be; she&#8217;s just reposting deranged content from Leftists. So instead of making any factual argument, Slack apparently complains that a lot of people are seeing the factual information provided by Libs of TikTok, and they&#8217;re becoming hateful as a result. Somehow this alleged audience reaction makes Libs of TikTok&#8217;s conduct a violation of Slack&#8217;s policies against &#8220;inciting hatred.&#8221;
She didn&#8217;t direct anyone to engage in any hateful conduct. She simply posted the truth about what&#8217;s happening. And that&#8217;s not allowed anymore.
This is a standard that obviously, if the Left were to employ against itself, would result in the immediate deplatforming of the Washington Post, pretty much every trans activist who&#8217;s ever used social media, the entirety of CNN and MSNBC and the rest of the legacy media. But it&#8217;s not a real standard and it&#8217;s not meant to be administered fairly. Instead, as the committee notes, this standard was essentially invented by the ADL, the SPLC, and other well-funded Left-wing activist groups. 
<blockquote>Although Slack did not specifically point to them with regard to its Libs of TikTok investigation, notably, the left-wing SPLC has described Libs of TikTok as an &#8216;extremist&#8217; account and ADL labeled Libs of TikTok/Chaya Raichik as an &#8216;extremist&#8217; in its &#8216;Glossary of Extremism.&#8217;</blockquote>
The same designation applies to me. Quoting again from the report: 
<blockquote>Eventbrite did not say that it relied on ADL in deciding to cancel the What Is a Woman? events, but notably ADL—which Eventbrite’s Trust and Safety Team generally relies on as a source—has labeled Matt Walsh as an &#8216;extremist commentator.&#8217;</blockquote>
This is the strategy that&#8217;s been unearthed by this congressional committee. Motivated in part by guidance from Left-wing activist groups, large online tech platforms are doing everything they can to make sure conservatives can&#8217;t communicate or stay in business. There are several other examples. For instance, the report says that the Independent Women&#8217;s Forum, or IWF, was kicked off the fundraising platform Bonterra for defending women’s rights. Bonterra categorized IWF as some sort of &#8220;anti-LGBT&#8221; outfit, whatever that means, all because they believe biology is real. Therefore, they&#8217;re not allowed to raise money, I guess.
In its report, the committee suggests that this situation could be resolved by legislation — or at least, addressed in some way by legislation. But the ideal resolution, as the committee suggests in its conclusion, is for new online service providers to flood the market and offer an alternative. That is the only response to this insanity that&#8217;s sustainable — and it&#8217;s a very workable solution.
Because of this committee&#8217;s investigation, we know that the companies censoring conservatives are really staffed with complete, bumbling morons who have no idea what they&#8217;re doing. That means they&#8217;re powerful, yes, but they&#8217;re also vulnerable. Now it&#8217;s time to replace them before they silence us.

Former collegiate swimmer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/how-effing-irresponsible-is-this-tennis-legend-destroys-trans-activist-slamming-riley-gaines">Riley Gaines</a> said that with his 2024 revision, President Joe Biden has basically “abolished Title IX” &#8212; a policy that was originally enacted to protect women and girls.
On Friday, Gaines broke down what Biden and Education Secretary Miguel Cardona have done by revising the law enacted in 1972. A <a href="https://www2.ed.gov/about/offices/list/ocr/docs/t9-final-rule-summary.pdf">summary</a> of the new provisions “clarifies that sex discrimination includes discrimination based on sex stereotypes, sex characteristics, pregnancy or related conditions, sexual orientation, and gender identity.”
“The Biden Admin has just officially abolished Title IX as we knew it,” Gaines wrote in a post on <a href="https://x.com/Riley_Gaines_/status/1781330862115610797">X</a>. “Now, sex = gender identity.”
“In a nutshell, the new rewrite means, men can take academic AND athletic scholarships from women,” she added. “Men will have FULL access to bathrooms, locker rooms, etc. Men could be housed in dorm rooms with women.”
“Students and faculty MUST compel their speech by requiring the use of preferred pronouns,” Gaines continued. “If the guidelines above are ignored or even questioned, then YOU can be charged with harassment.”

The former University of Kentucky swimmer has become a vocal advocate for women’s rights in sports and has faced backlash for speaking out against biological males competing against females.
Gaines made headlines when she talked about how unfair it was having to swim against trans-identifying male swimmer Lia Thomas in 2022 and how uncomfortable it was changing in the locker room with Thomas.

Nicole Neily, president of Parents Defending Education, also blasted <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/grotesque-betrayal-of-students-critics-blast-bidens-new-title-ix-regulations-championing-gender-identity" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Biden&#8217;s new regulations</a> as “grotesque,” and accused the White House of capitulating “to extremists in his party, sacrificing the First Amendment on the altar of Title IX and disregarding clearly established Supreme Court precedent on the definition of sexual harassment.&#8221;
Former Senior Counsel at the U.S. Department of Education Sarah Parshall Perry echoed the sentiment, stating, “Under the new rule, girls and women will no longer have any sex-separated bathrooms, locker rooms, housing accommodations, or other educational programs. Women’s sports are likely endangered, too.”
“Any education institution, including many private schools that receive even nominal federal funding, will be affected by this rule,” she added. “The rule also erases other important protections, like due process protections for students accused of sexual misconduct, free speech protections for students and teachers who don’t want to use ‘preferred pronouns,’ and parents’ right to know if their child is in the process of a gender identity ‘social transition’ at school.&#8221;

Women&#8217;s rights activist <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/riley-gaines" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Riley Gaines</a> laid the blame on Democratic Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey after a disturbing incident involving a trans-identifying male athlete came to light.
The <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13266245/KIPP-Academy-Lynn-Massachusetts-transgender-athlete-rowing-harassment-suspended.html?ns_mchannel=rss&amp;ns_campaign=1490&amp;ito=social-twitter_mailonline" target="_blank" rel="noopener">story</a>, published by the Daily Mail, revealed that the athlete in question — who was filmed injuring rival female players during a February basketball game — had participated in several other sports on the women&#8217;s teams and had allegedly made lewd comments to girls while they were changing clothes in the locker room.
The Kipp Academy student, Lazuli Clark — who towers over most female competitors at over six feet tall — has competed in the women&#8217;s divisions in basketball, rowing, volleyball, track &amp; field, and tae kwon do. According to <a href="https://quillette.com/2024/04/02/the-damage-wrought-by-trans-inclusion-in-female-sports/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Quillette</a>, the student was allegedly suspended from the women&#8217;s rowing team at a private club after &#8220;leering&#8221; at another female student in the locker room, saying, &#8220;Ooh, t***ies.&#8221;
Quillette cited a leaked copy of a letter dated October 12, 2022, and sent by 15 parents to the United States Rowing Association, the sport&#8217;s governing body in America. That letter stated that the student had placed &#8220;near the bottom&#8221; when competing for the club&#8217;s men&#8217;s team and had subsequently joined the women&#8217;s team — but did not bother to shave and continued to wear the men&#8217;s uniform to compete.
According to Quillette, the locker room incident resulted in the student being &#8220;reported by team officials to <a href="https://uscenterforsafesport.org/?ref=quillette.com">the U.S. Center for SafeSport</a>,&#8221; after which Clark was not permitted to row for either team again.

Lazuli Clark is a man that sexually harassed women,&#8221; Gaines <a href="https://twitter.com/Riley_Gaines_/status/1775538386331160828" target="_blank" rel="noopener">responded</a> to the initial story — and then took aim at Governor Healey for allowing it to continue.
&#8220;These girls were forced to participate in his sick fetish at the hands of @MassGovernor,&#8221; she said.
