Post Malone recently explained why he doesn’t want his fiancée or young daughter to be in the spotlight.
The 28-year-old rapper, whose real name is Austin Post, made his feelings known during a recent interview with CR Fashion Book.
“I feel like a lot of people feel entitled to know every single detail of everyone’s life and it’s why I don’t want to post any pictures of my baby, because I want her to be able to make that decision whenever she wants to and is ready,” Malone told the outlet.
“We live in such an interestingly semi-connected world where everybody is a phone call away, but you lose a lot of the intricacies and nuance of being with the person and seeing what’s actually happening.”
He also raved about becoming a father, saying being a dad “really does make me work harder out of love – you want to get up and make the world, for her at least, the best that you can. I’m in one of the most blessed positions in the world and I’m one of the luckiest motherf***ers to be able to get to do what I love as a job.”

As far as concerns, Malone said his involved gifts his daughter received. “It’s scary because her grandpa got her a little Maybach and she loves it. It’s terrifying because I’m like, ‘You don’t like this car. You want something with better gas mileage, you want something that’s a little cheaper…,’” the singer quipped.
During a 2022 interview, Malone said his relationship “saved” him from the darkness of alcohol addiction
“I am responsible now,” the “Circles” singer said when asked about his sobriety. “It was to a really rough point, and I couldn’t get up off the floor for weeks.”
“I just have super beautiful people around me, and I met a really beautiful person that made me feel like a human being again,” Malone said of his fiancée. “It’s the guidance out of the dark into the light. … She saved my f***ing life — it’s pretty epic.”
