<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;Today’s my dad’s birthday, and back when he was alive, he used to hate anybody acknowledging his birthday, wishing him a happy birthday, celebrating it, nothing like that,&#8221; she told her 4.2 million followers.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Paris discussed how some of Michael’s fans had reprimanded her in the past for not posting about his birthday on social media. &#8220;It apparently means that you don’t love them, you don’t care about them,&#8221; Paris Jackson said sarcastically.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The singer went on to play a clip from a show she played August 29 at the Amphitheater at Las Colonias Park in Colorado, where she opened for the band Incubus. Paris gave her late father a shoutout during the performance.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;He put 50 years of blood, sweat and tears and love and passion into doing what he did, so that I can stand up here onstage in front of you and scream into a microphone,&#8221; Paris told the assembled crowd. &#8220;I owe everything to him.&#8221;</span></p>
