Former President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump</a> is leading Vice President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kamala-harris" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kamala Harris</a> in the critical battleground states of Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina, according to polling released Monday from the New York Times and Siena College. 
The <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2024/09/23/us/elections/times-siena-arizona-toplines.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">polling</a> found that Trump was leading Harris 50-45 in Arizona, 49-45 in Georgia, and 49-47 in North Carolina. The survey was conducted from September 17-21 and polled 713 registered voters in Arizona, 682 in Georgia, and 682 in North Carolina. 
The poll found that Trump is trusted more on the issues of immigration and the economy, while Harris is trusted more on abortion. 
In Arizona, the poll found that the most important issues were the economy (26%), immigration (19%), and abortion (17%). A majority said Trump would be better on the economy (57%) and immigration (54%), while 55% said Harris would be better on abortion. 
A majority (58%) said they backed a proposed amendment to the state constitution that would create a right to abortion, while just 34% said they would oppose the amendment. 
In an open Senate seat race, Democrat Rep. Ruben Gallego leads Republican Kari Lake 50-41. 
Georgia respondents also identified the economy (27%), abortion (15%), and immigration (13%) as their most important issues. A majority said they trusted Trump more on immigration (54%) and the economy (54%), while Harris was favored on abortion by 54% of voters. 
Sixty percent of Georgia voters said the U.S. should focus more on domestic problems, agreeing with the statement that “We should pay less attention to problems overseas and concentrate on problems here at home.”
In North Carolina, the economy (24%), abortion (13%), and immigration (12%) were the biggest issues in the election. Trump was again favored on the economy (55%) and immigration (51%), while Harris was preferred again on abortion (52%).

The poll also found that Democrat Josh Stein leads Republican Mark Robinson in the race for the open governor’s seat. 
President Joe Biden’s approval was underwater in each of the states, with his disapproval rating at 60% in Arizona, 61% in Georgia, and 55% in North Carolina. 
Both the Trump and Harris campaigns have focused on rallying support in these states as the campaign reaches its final stretch. Harris will be in Arizona this week, while Trump is set to speak in Savannah, Georgia, on Tuesday. Republican Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance will appear in Georgia and North Carolina this week.

New York Times Poll Shows Trump Beating Kamala In 3 Battleground States

A group of Republican lawmakers asked EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin on Wednesday to look at the dangers of flushing the abortion pill into America’s drinking water, according to a letter first shared with The Daily Wire. 
Led by Rep. Josh Brecheen and Sen. James Lankford of Oklahoma, the lawmakers urged Zeldin to take steps to probe whether the byproducts of mifepristone were ending up in drinking water and negatively impacting fertility. They argued that the deadly pills were not only ending the lives of unborn children, but also contaminating drinking water, making it unsafe for all Americans. 
“We recognize that the greatest tragedy of every abortion is the murder of the innocent. But we are also concerned that activist bureaucrats overlooked real public health risks posed by mifepristone in their crusade to expand abortion access,” Brecheen told The Daily Wire. “With chemical abortion now the most common abortion method in America, the public deserves answers about how these potent hormone disruptors affect our water supply and contribute to our nation’s rising infertility rates.”
The <a href="https://dw-wp-production.imgix.net/2025/06/Congressional-Letter-to-EPA-re-Mifepristone.pdf">letter</a> notes that there were at least 648,500 medication abortions in 2023, and that many chemicals from the pills, meant to kill an unborn child, were ending up in the water system. The lawmakers said that since mifepristone is meant to disrupt the hormones of a pregnant woman that it could have endocrine-disrupting effects for the general public when introduced into the water system. 
“If residual amounts of the drug and its metabolites persist in wastewater, prolonged exposure could potentially interfere with a person’s fertility, regardless of sex. We believe it is reckless to allow a known progesterone blocker to be flushed into America’s drinking water without knowing definitively if it impacts fertility rates,” the letter says. 
Senators Cynthia Lummis (WY), Bernie Moreno (OH), and Jim Banks (IN) also signed on to the letter, as did 20 other House Republicans. 
They asked Zeldin if the EPA believed mifepristone should be regulated under the Safe Drinking Water Act, if the EPA had considered monitoring or regulating mifepristone, and if the agency had conducted any reviews of the abortion pill&#8217;s impact on drinking water.
“Federal regulators are rightfully eager to study the health effects of many chemicals in our water and septic systems, but they haven’t examined the environmental and public health risks of chemical abortion drugs like mifepristone in those same systems,” Lankford said. “Scientific research on the health effects of water sources where there are trace amounts of a chemical that is designed to end the life of a child in the womb should not be controversial.”

The action was also supported by Students for Life Action President Kristan Hawkins, who said that the Biden administration recklessly expanded the distribution of the abortion pill. 
“You don’t have to be pro-life to be concerned about endocrine disrupters in our waterways, potentially impacting our water safety, harming endangered species and our food supply, and perhaps even multiplying the rate of infertility,” she said. 
Medication abortion has quickly become the most common form of abortion, making up over 60% of all abortions, according to some estimates. The real percentage may be even higher because of the amount of illegal pills that are shipped into red states that have technically prohibited all abortions.
The Trump administration, which has <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/serious-mistake-trump-admin-moves-to-dismiss-challenge-to-mail-order-abortion-pills" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pulled some punches</a> against the abortion pill, took steps earlier this month to reevaluate the pill. FDA Commissioner Marty Makary told Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) that he would conduct a review of mifepristone and its widespread use.

EXCLUSIVE: Abortion Pills Could Be Polluting Drinking Water. Lawmakers Want Answers.

Top Tennessee lawmakers and officials celebrated Wednesday after the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 to uphold a law that bans transgender procedures on children in the Volunteer State, saying that it was a major victory for &#8220;common sense.&#8221;
In their ruling, the justices said that the law, which prohibits doctors from performing both surgical and hormonal procedures on minors, does not violate the 14th Amendment. Republican Governor Bill Lee signed it in March 2023.
&#8220;In today&#8217;s historic Supreme Court win, the common sense of Tennessee voters prevailed over judicial activism,&#8221; <a href="https://www.tn.gov/attorneygeneral/news/2025/6/18/pr25-37.html">said</a> Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti. &#8220;A bipartisan supermajority of Tennessee&#8217;s elected representatives carefully considered the evidence and voted to protect kids from irreversible decisions they cannot yet fully understand.&#8221;
&#8220;I commend the Tennessee legislature and Governor Lee for their courage in passing this legislation and supporting our litigation despite withering opposition from the Biden administration, LGBT special interest groups, social justice activists, the American Medical Association, the American Bar Association, and even Hollywood,&#8221; Skrmetti added. 
The two Republican authors of the legislation, Senator Jack Johnson and Representative William Lamberth, also celebrated the decision, which was offered by Chief Justice John Roberts.
“Today marks a significant milestone for the children of Tennessee and for all children across the nation,” Johnson <a href="https://x.com/SenJohnson/status/1935344745188049033" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>. “This ruling sends a strong message to the country that states have a clear right and path forward to protect children from irreversible body mutilation.”
Lamberth said the decision upheld the will of Tennesseans and aligned with most Americans&#8217; beliefs.
&#8220;For too long, the Left labeled these harmful drugs and barbaric procedures as ‘gender-affirming care,’ refusing to acknowledge they are unproven, irreversible and come with life-altering disfigurement. From the beginning, this law was about protecting vulnerable young people unable to provide informed consent to advice rooted in lies and radical ideology,&#8221; he said. 
U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) <a href="https://x.com/MarshaBlackburn/status/1935356196921475137" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> the decision was &#8220;fantastic news,&#8221; adding that &#8220;protecting children from mutilation is common sense.&#8221;
The passage of Tennessee&#8217;s law came after Daily Wire host Matt Walsh published an investigation into the Pediatric Transgender Clinic at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, showing it had removed the breasts of girls who identified as boys and prescribed cross-sex hormones to gender-confused children. Other parts of the investigation revealed that a doctor affiliated with the adult clinic boasted about how transgender procedures bring in a lot of money.
Walsh said Wednesday that the Supreme Court&#8217;s decision was a &#8220;fatal blow to the child mutilation industry.&#8221;
&#8220;Three years ago, we launched our investigation into Vanderbilt’s child mutilation practices,&#8221; he <a href="https://x.com/MattWalshBlog/status/1935345883769430153" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>. &#8220;We rallied in the state capital. Our lawmakers responded with a law banning child mutilation in the state. Today the Supreme Court upheld our law, which means child mutilation can be banned anywhere and everywhere in the country. And should be. This is a truly historic victory and I’m grateful to be a part of it, along with so many others who have fought relentlessly for years.&#8221;
Top Trump administration officials also welcomed the decision from the court.
&#8220;I applaud today’s Supreme Court decision that allows states to protect vulnerable children from genital mutilation and other so-called &#8216;gender-affirming care&#8217; that leaves children permanently disfigured and scarred,&#8221; <a href="https://x.com/AGPamBondi/status/1935362210638729531" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> Attorney General Pam Bondi. &#8220;This Department of Justice will continue its fight to protect America’s children and parental rights. I encourage other states to follow Tennessee’s lead and enact similar legislation to protect our kids.&#8221;
Earlier this year, the Justice Department moved to drop the federal government&#8217;s opposition to Tennessee&#8217;s law, reversing course from the Biden administration.
&#8220;The Supreme Court today rightly upheld a Tennessee state law to protect children from irreversible harm,” Secretary of Education Linda McMahon <a href="https://x.com/EDSecMcMahon/status/1935347078546219267" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>. “Great news as the Department of Education recognizes Title IX Month.”

‘Fatal Blow To The Child Mutilation Industry’: Conservatives Cheer SCOTUS Decision On Trans Ban

President Donald Trump will give TikTok’s owner more time to comply with a federal law mandating that it cannot be owned by a Chinese company because of national security concerns. 
The extension will give ByteDance, the Chinese-based company that owns TikTok, another 90 days to find an American buyer. TikTok was first set to go dark in January 2025, but Trump has extended that deadline multiple times. 
&#8220;As he has said many times, President Trump does not want TikTok to go dark,&#8221; White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Tuesday. &#8220;This extension will last 90 days, which the Administration will spend working to ensure this deal is closed so that the American people can continue to use TikTok with the assurance that their data is safe and secure.”
Trump has previously expanded the deadline twice, once in January and then again in an April <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/04/extending-the-tiktok-enforcement-delay/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">executive order</a> that directed the Justice Department not to enforce the “Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act” until June 19. 
TikTok will now have until September to facilitate a deal with an American company or investor. 
During his first term in office, Trump first moved to ban TikTok via executive order, a move that was later blocked. Several years later, President Joe Biden signed a bill mandating the sale of TikTok into law in April 2024 after broad Congressional support. 
Days before Trump took office in January, the Supreme Court <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/supreme-court-allows-tiktok-ban-to-take-effect" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ruled</a> that Congress was justified in passing the ban because of concerns about the Chinese government using TikTok to harvest the private data of millions of Americans. 
“There is no doubt that, for more than 170 million Americans, TikTok offers a distinctive and expansive outlet for expression, means of engagement, and source of community,” the court wrote. “But Congress has determined that divestiture is necessary to address its well-supported national security concerns regarding TikTok’s data collection practices and relationship with a foreign adversary.”
The court was unconvinced that the ban amounted to restrictions on free speech. 
“It is not clear that the Act itself directly regulates protected expressive activity, or conduct with an expressive component. Indeed, the Act does not regulate the creator petitioners at all. And it directly regulates ByteDance Ltd. and TikTok Inc. only through the divestiture requirement,” the court wrote.

White House Says Trump Will Extend TikTok Ban Deadline For 3rd Time

The Justice Department announced more charges against suspects accused of taking part in the violent anti-ICE riots that rocked parts of California last week.
U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California Bill Essayli announced that federal officials had charged three more individuals over violent anti-immigration enforcement riots that broke out in Los Angeles County. Essayli was joined at a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SeBqQSzmSLU" target="_blank" rel="noopener">press conference</a> by Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman, who told rioters that “we are coming for you” and that law enforcement would track them down.
“We have zero tolerance for violence. As the district attorney said, you have an absolute right to peacefully protest, you have no right to destroy property or to engage in acts of violence, especially at our law enforcement officers,” Essayli said, noting that the Justice Department had charged more than 20 individuals for engaging in violence.
One of those charged was Adam Charles Palermo, who Essayli said “was caught on video participating in the attack, his social media account contained a collage of photographs and videos depicting a man holding flying debris, a California Highway patrol car on fire, and various other damage to California Highway Patrol cars.”
Essayli said that Palermo posted a caption on a post about the riot that of all the “protests I&#8217;ve been involved in, which is well over 100 now, I&#8217;m most proud of what I did today.”
Palermo, charged with attempted arson of a vehicle used in interstate or foreign commerce, faces a mandatory minimum penalty of five years and a maximum of 20 years behind bars.
Another suspect charged by the Justice Department was Angus Johnson, who Essayli said spit on a California National Guardsman.
“Johnson then spit on other federal police officers present who were trying to keep the peace,” Essayli said. “As our president said, if you spit, we hit, and we will hit you with a felony.”
If convicted, Johnson could face up to eight years in prison.
The press conference comes after Essayli <a href="https://x.com/USAttyEssayli/status/1933158095833964798" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> last Friday that Alejandro Theodoro Orellana was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit civil disorder. Essayli alleged that Orellana distributed face shields to those taking part in the violence.

‘We Are Coming For You’: Feds Reveal More Charges Against Anti-ICE Rioters

The Justice Department confirmed Monday that the United States Naval Academy would no longer consider race in admissions, according to a court document. 
In a joint <a href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/media/1403766/dl?inline=&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=govdelivery" target="_blank" rel="noopener">filing</a> with Students for Fair Admission, the Trump administration asked a federal appeals court to dismiss a lawsuit against the academy over a policy that allowed it to consider race during the admissions process. Students for Fair Admission, which sued the academy in October 2023, agreed that the suit was no longer needed due to policy changes implemented by the Trump administration. 
“This Department is committed to ending illegal discrimination and restoring merit-based opportunity throughout the federal government,” <a href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/justice-department-addresses-racial-discrimination-lawsuit-challenging-race-based-admissions">said</a> Attorney General Pamela Bondi. “We are proud to partner with the Department of Defense to permanently end race-based admissions at the United States Naval Academy and ensure that admission to this prestigious institution is based exclusively on merit.”
The filing states that the lawsuit is now moot due to the policy change and asks that the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit dismiss a lower court&#8217;s ruling that kept race-based admissions in place. The policy allowed the academy to “consider race or ethnicity as one of many nondeterminative factors” for admission. 
This policy ended after President Donald Trump signed an executive order on January 27 that said that no one within the military should be given any advantage based on gender or race. 
In compliance with that order, Naval Academy Superintendent Vice Admiral Yvette Davids issued a memo in February saying that “at no point during the admissions process (including qualification and acceptance) should race, ethnicity, or sex be a factor for admission.”
The joint filing said that considering race and ethnicity for admissions does not contribute to military cohesiveness, lethality, recruitment, or national security. 
“It is the military judgment of the Department of Defense that recruiting and promoting individuals based on merit alone, and not based on their immutable characteristics, improves unit cohesion and performance,” the joint filing said. “The Department of Defense has now determined that neither the recruitment and retention of talented officers nor the legitimacy of the U.S. military are positively affected by the service academies’ consideration of race in admissions.”
Students for Fair Admission was the organization behind the landmark case where the Supreme Court ruled that affirmative action in higher education was unconstitutional and racially discriminatory.

Naval Academy Promises To ‘Permanently’ End Race-Based Admissions

As Planned Parenthood shutters facilities across the country, the organization continues to end the lives of unborn children at a rapid pace, recently setting a new record for total abortions in one year. 
A new <a href="https://all.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/STOPP_2025_Facilities_final-1.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> from the American Life League, first shared with The Daily Wire, shows that the number of physical Planned Parenthood facilities has declined from 567 in 2022 to 509 in May 2025. Despite that fact, Planned Parenthood acknowledged in its most recent annual report that it had aborted 402,230 unborn babies from 2022 to 2023, up from 392,715 the year <a href="https://cdn.plannedparenthood.org/uploads/filer_public/ec/f4/ecf43d92-fcd2-4d11-b299-e67b5c3ac394/2024-ppfa-annualreport-c3-digital.pdf">prior</a>.
The American Life League told The Daily Wire it believes that the increase in abortions was likely due to Planned Parenthood’s push for expanded abortion tourism and online options for ordering the abortion pill. 
“Planned Parenthood’s business model and facilities continue to make abortion their top priority. However, the landscape has changed in our post-Dobbs America, and the abortion giant is now capitalizing on its distribution of abortion pills to women, not only through the facilities themselves but through telehealth visits, its phone app, and its new virtual health centers,” the report says. 
As states have adopted tighter pro-life laws following the overturning of Roe v. Wade, there has been a sharp increase in women traveling across state lines to get abortions. Planned Parenthood promotes this kind of travel and encourages women to seek financial assistance. The states that saw the greatest increase in abortion tourism in 2024 were Illinois, North Carolina, Kansas, and New Mexico.
At the same time, abortion by pill continues to increase. According to some estimates, medical abortions account for over 60% of all reported abortions. Even more go unreported because of the widespread availability of the abortion pill, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/how-a-leftist-network-of-websites-floods-red-states-with-abortion-pills-with-no-consequences-2" target="_blank" rel="noopener">even in states</a> where all abortions are supposed to be banned. 
The American Life League found that 133 of Planned Parenthood’s 509 physical facilities offer telehealth options for ordering abortion pills. Abortion pills can also be obtained through Planned Parenthood’s app or a virtual health center. 
There are currently 43 virtual health centers across 34 states, including 23 that offer abortion pill services, according to the American Life League. 
With Planned Parenthood’s app, women in states like <a href="https://www.plannedparenthooddirect.org/state/minnesota">Minnesota</a> are able to order abortion pills with overnight shipping for $349. The only <a href="https://www.plannedparenthooddirect.org/">steps</a> needed to get the pills are to request them, have a Planned Parenthood worker “review” the application, and then have the pills sent in “discreet” packaging to the woman’s home address or pharmacy.

American Life League National Director Katie Brown Xavios told The Daily Wire that she would like to see lawmakers take dramatic steps to crack down on the availability of the abortion pill. 
“I think given that reinstating the restrictions on the abortion pill doesn&#8217;t go far enough, we would have to completely take it off the market to affect any kind of change, because Planned Parenthood is always going to be two steps ahead with this kind of thing,” she said. 
Brown said it was positive that Planned Parenthood&#8217;s physical facilities were shuttering, including some that offer surgical abortions, partly the result of budget cuts due to the loss of government grants and funding.
Even more facilities could close if the Senate passes the &#8220;big, beautiful bill,&#8221; which cuts Medicaid reimbursements to facilities that obtain abortions. Planned Parenthood says these cuts could lead to the closure of some 200 more facilities. From 2022 to 2023, Planned Parenthood received nearly $800 million in taxpayer dollars.

The number of Planned Parenthood facilities has steadily declined from their peak in the mid-1990s, when there were 938 facilities. The only states where Planned Parenthood currently does not have a physical or virtual presence are Wyoming, North Dakota, and Mississippi.
