Whistleblowers have reportedly come forward to allege that the FBI did not follow its standard practices in its criminal investigation of President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.
CBS News reported that the “multiple Justice Department whistleblowers” have come forward to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) in his investigation into the Biden family to allege misconduct by federal investigators.
Multiple sources told the publication that the whistleblower disclosures specifically raised concerns surrounding the criminal investigation into Hunter Biden, including allegations that “irregular handling” of evidence had taken place and that “standard investigatory procedures were not being followed.”
The whistleblowers alleged that evidence damaging to Hunter Biden was labeled disinformation even though it was possible to verify or had already been verified. The whistleblowers also claimed that some of the damaging evidence was placed in restricted systems that other investigators could not access or review.
The news comes after a whistleblower came forward earlier this month to Grassley’s office and alleged that the FBI has evidence showing that then-Vice President Joe Biden was involved in a criminal bribery scheme with a foreign national.
Grassley and House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-KY) released a joint statement saying that the whistleblower was “highly credible.”

“Based on those disclosures, it has come to our attention that the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) possess an unclassified FD-1023 form that describes an alleged criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a foreign national relating to the exchange of money for policy decisions,” a letter from Comer and Grassley said to Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray.
“It has been alleged that the document includes a precise description of how the alleged criminal scheme was employed as well as its purpose,” the letter continued. “Based on the alleged specificity within the document, it would appear that the DOJ and the FBI have enough information to determine the truth and accuracy of the information contained within it.”
