Rumors started circulating that Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are heading for a breakup based on her behavior on Instagram.
The 36-year-old actress kicked off a social media frenzy when she deleted all photographic evidence of herself and MGK, whose real name is Colson Baker. She followed that by posting lyrics from Beyoncé’s 2016 album Lemonade.
“You can taste the dishonesty/ it’s all over your breath,” Fox wrote on her post, which included various photos of herself along with a video of an envelope burning in a fire pit.
Fans shared their opinions in the comments, including one speculating that MGK must have cheated on Fox.
“He probably got with Sophie,” the commenter wrote, prompting Fox to reply, “Maybe I got with Sophie” with a fire emoji. This reaction likely referred to Sophie Lloyd, MGK’s lead guitarist.
The next thing Fox did to elicit the rumors was to follow Eminem on Instagram, which was seen as disrespectful to MGK because the two have been feuding for years.
Shortly after posting the cryptic message, Fox deleted her Instagram account entirely. As of Monday, neither Fox nor MGK have confirmed rumors of a split.
The couple got engaged in January 2022 and have been making headlines with their over-the-top behavior ever since. One of the most famous incidents occurred when the pair confessed to drinking each other’s blood.
“I guess to drink each other’s blood might mislead people or people are imagining us with goblets and we’re like ‘Game of Thrones’ drinking each other’s blood,” the actress told Glamour U.K. in April 2022. “It’s just a few drops, but yes, we do consume each other’s blood on occasion for ritual purposes only.”
“And it is controlled where it’s like, ‘Let’s shed a few drops of blood and each drink it,’” Fox continued. “He’s much more haphazard and hectic and chaotic, where he’s willing to just cut his chest open with broken glass and be like, ‘Take my soul.’”
“It doesn’t not happen,” she responded when asked about the blood drinking. “Let me tell you. Maybe not exactly like that, but a version of that has happened many times.”
MGK also described how he designed Fox’s engagement ring to be physically painful to take off. “The bands are actually thorns. So if she tries to take it off, it hurts,” he said in January just after announcing their engagement.
