<p>Liberal comedian <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/bill-maher" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bill Maher</a> defended President Donald Trump mocking a reporter this week who asked him about visiting the site of a plane crash, which happened in the water.</p>
<p>Maher made the remarks on his HBO show &#8220;Real Time&#8221; in response to the following exchange that Trump had with the reporter in the Oval Office following the tragic plane and helicopter crash:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>REPORTER: Have you spoken to any of the families of the victims of the plane crash?</em></p>
<p><em>TRUMP: I don’t want to comment on that.</em></p>
<p><em>REPORTER: Do you have a plan to go visit the site?</em></p>
<p><em>TRUMP: I have a plan to visit, not the site, because you tell me — what’s the site? The water? You want me to go swimming?</em></p></blockquote>
<p>Maher said that Trump&#8217;s response to the &#8220;stupid question&#8221; was &#8220;exactly right.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;They asked him a question about the crash and they said, &#8216;Will you visit the crash site?'&#8221; Maher said. &#8220;Now, every other politician would go, &#8216;Of course, it was a tragedy.'&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;And he went, &#8216;It’s the water. What do you want me to do, swim there?'&#8221; Maher continued. &#8220;Yeah. And I was like, exactly! F*** right! You’re exactly right. It’s a stupid question.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;And you got just the answer you deserve,&#8221; he added. &#8220;And that is why they like him.&#8221;</p>
