Liberal comedian <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/bill-maher" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bill Maher</a> slammed the political Left this week for attacking Cheryl Hines, the wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., over her husband&#8217;s decision to endorse Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
Maher made the remarks Friday evening on his HBO show &#8220;Real Time&#8221; while discussing the attacks that the actress has faced since her husband made the endorsement late last month.
&#8220;His wife is Cheryl Hines, who Larry David was quoted as describing as &#8216;the best person I ever met, the one person in Hollywood who doesn&#8217;t have a single enemy,'&#8221; Maher said.
&#8220;Well now she does, because she didn&#8217;t throw her husband under the bus when her husband made a decision about something which she&#8217;s made plain she disagrees with, but that didn&#8217;t satisfy the obnoxious posers on the aforementioned far-Left.&#8221;
He noted that Hines was subjected to thousands of harassing posts on social media attacking her for not speaking out against her husband.
&#8220;You want to know why I have a bug up my a** about the Left more than I used to?&#8221; he asked. &#8220;It&#8217;s s*** like this. There&#8217;s an ugliness they never used to have. The Liberals I grew up respecting, none of them are like this. Going after the wife? Even the mafia doesn&#8217;t do that.&#8221;

Former House Speaker <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nancy-pelosi" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nancy Pelosi</a> (D-CA) advocated turning millions of illegal aliens into U.S. citizens this week and making them eligible for taxpayer-funded assistance for buying homes.
Pelosi made the remarks during a Friday interview on HBO’s “Real Time” with Bill Maher when asked about a highly controversial bill in California that would make illegal aliens eligible for $150,000 for purchasing homes — even as the state leads the country with the largest number of homeless U.S. citizens.
“What I would like to do is move them to documented,” she said. “One of the best things we can do for our economy is pass comprehensive immigration reform.”
Pelosi admitted that the issue of supporting immigration is no longer “bipartisan” ever since Democrats began to weaponize the issue and sought to import voters whom they believe will end up voting for them.
&#8220;But not free housing,&#8221; Maher responded.
&#8220;Well, that&#8217;s not free housing. It&#8217;s the American Dream being available to more people,&#8221; Pelosi claimed.
“California is always in the lead,” she claimed. “Maybe others will follow that lead, but that&#8217;s up to those states. But we are very blessed here with beautiful diversity.”

&#8220;Well, I&#8217;m not familiar with exactly what that is, but making the American dream of homeownership available to all people is something we have to do for people who are here now,&#8221; Pelosi claimed.
Maher then informed her that the bill was for the benefit of only illegal aliens.

Former House Speaker <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nancy-pelosi" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nancy Pelosi</a> (D-CA) claimed this week that Vice President Kamala Harris won the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination in an “open” contest despite not facing any competition as the entire party establishment rallied around her.
Pelosi made the claim during an interview Friday night on HBO’s “Real Time” with liberal comedian Bill Maher.
“Many times when I&#8217;m encouraging people to run, especially more women, to run for office,” she said, adding that she believes there is “nothing more wholesome in our political process than that &#8212; aren&#8217;t we excited about?”
Maher responded, “yes,” drawing laughs from the audience.
“Yes, and sometimes you&#8217;re discouraging people to run,” he said in reference to Pelosi reportedly stabbing President Joe Biden in the back by working behind the scenes to force him out of the race. “We’re not going to get into that.”

Pelosi smiled and responded: “Well, people make their own decisions.”
“Oh, absolutely they do,” Maher responded, causing the audience to erupt in laughter.
Pelosi claimed that Harris won an “open” contest for the nomination despite having no challengers and the entire party falling in line with endorsements from Biden, and former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.
“Anybody could have gotten in,” she claimed. “She wrapped it up, you have to give her credit for that.”

Liberal comedian Bill Maher slammed Vice President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kamala-harris" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kamala Harris</a> and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for  “insulting [his] intelligence” during their controversial CNN interview this week.
Maher made the remarks Friday evening on HBO’s “Real Time” while talking about the interview in which the Democratic Party’s presidential and vice presidential nominees made numerous false statements during a softball interview with host Dana Bash.
“I don&#8217;t know why we ever thought she was as bad as people thought she was,” he said. “It was like Biden had that one bad night, she had a bad three years.”
He said that both Walz and Harris were “insulting my intelligence” with some of the absurd claims that they made during the interview.
He also slammed Walz for being “a huge liar” over countless issues and stories that he has told.
&#8220;When [CNN anchor Dana Bash] said what did you say when Biden called you and said he wasn&#8217;t running. ‘Well, I immediately thought of him first,'&#8221; Maher mocked Harris as he rolled his eyes. &#8220;I mean, fracking … Dana Bash had her dead to rights. It was like, ‘You said this, I have the quote. I’m reading it to you. You said there should be a ban on fracking.&#8217; Why can&#8217;t they just go, ‘Yeah, you know what? I got it wrong.’”

Maher said that it was weird that Harris kept talking about her candidacy being a “new way forward” given the fact that she is effectively the incumbent candidate.
Maher added that it was “odd” that Harris needed an “emotional support VP” with her during the interview as she was unable to do it by herself.
He also repeatedly mocked the interview set-up with Harris and her &#8220;emotional support VP.”
&#8220;He was just sitting there for a very long time without saying anything,” he said. &#8220;He was just nodding while she did all the talking.”

Maher shot back, saying he represents the middle-ground voters who Harris should be targeting because the far-Left Democrats are already voting for her.  
Tarantino said this isn’t a “normal election cycle” where “you have a year to set your case”
He said, “I think they’re just all about winning the f***ing election, all right, and the easiest path to winning the election. Look, you can talk about maybe she should have had more guts about this or that and the other but we’re the f***ing president. And Trump’s not the president, and we’re the f***ing president, and now it’s gonna be about this.”
“This is about f***ing winning,” Tarantino says again. “What most people don’t give the Democrats enough credit for, but we give the Republicans credit for, is like no, sometimes it’s just about f***ing winning. And it doesn’t matter how we look at this moment.”

&#8220;You made press because you were on Stephen Colbert&#8217;s show, and he said something like, &#8216;You guys at CNN just report the news straight.&#8217; And the crowd burst into laughter,&#8221; Maher said. &#8220;I&#8217;m a big rooter for CNN, but that tells you a lot, doesn&#8217;t it?&#8221;
Maher asked Collins how she thinks her network is doing in this &#8220;terribly divided country&#8221; where both sides &#8220;just hate the other side.&#8221;
Collins claimed her show was &#8220;evidence&#8221; that CNN is a place where both sides can watch and be engaged.

Maher responded: &#8220;I&#8217;m talking about the people on CNN. And I know what the conservative side of America thinks, and I don&#8217;t blame them. I watched Kamala&#8217;s speech last night. It ended at 8:09, I guess 11:09 in the east.&#8221;
Maher said that CNN gave 15 straight minutes of glowing media coverage to Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris until &#8220;lonely Scott&#8221; Jennings, one of the only conservative voices on the network, chimed in and pushed back on what was being said.
&#8220;I watched from 8:09 to 8:23, they were just gushing about how great a speech it was,&#8221; he said. &#8220;And I think she did fine. I didn&#8217;t think it was as good as they were making it out to be. But if I&#8217;m a conservative in America and I&#8217;m watching CNN, just for the straight middle of the road, that&#8217;s what I hear for 15 minutes, is it&#8217;s great. And then lonely Scott. It does look, I mean, and when you see the panel, it does look like tokenism. It&#8217;s kind of like the same as &#8216;The View,&#8217; it&#8217;s like, it&#8217;s almost better to have nobody there, like MSNBC, than to have this.&#8221;
Collins claimed that people like Dana Bash, Jake Tapper, and Abby Phillip give &#8220;analysis&#8221; and that they were fair voices on the network, to which Maher responded that they &#8220;come across&#8221; like Democrat activists.
&#8220;They come across that way. In a moment like that, it was like five to one,&#8221; he said. &#8220;It always looks like five one.&#8221;

Liberal comedian Bill Maher said during his show this week that President Joe Biden was making the Democratic Party &#8220;look bad&#8221; for not firing the head of the U.S. Secret Service after former President Donald Trump was shot during an assassination attempt last weekend.
Maher made the remarks during his HBO show &#8220;Real Time&#8221; on Friday while he was interviewing Biden Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.
“Should Joe Biden have fired the Secret Service head?” Maher asked. “I mean, I don’t understand that.”
Buttigieg gave a non-answer, saying that he worked in a different department and that there was &#8220;a really serious after-action report and process and a whole lot of scrutiny going on there,&#8221; adding that the incident was &#8220;under a microscope.&#8221;
Maher responded: “Well, you didn’t need a microscope to see it. The guy was on the roof, you know, like not that far away.”
“I’ve seen people fired for less, and it just looks bad,” Maher added. “It looks like, ‘Well, the other guy from the other party got shot. Well, we’ll look into it if we have time.&#8217;”
Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle remained defiant amid overwhelming calls that she resign after her agency failed to prevent the shooting from happening.
When asked during the ABC NEWS interview if she was planning to stay on, she responded: “I do plan to stay on.”
At least one person in the crowd was killed and two more were seriously injured after the 20-year-old would be assassin exploited holes in the security coverage at the event that allowed him to climb onto of a nearby roof and open fire on the president with a clear line of sight from only a little over a hundred yards away.

Comedian and HBO host Bill Maher has said on several occasions that he worries about President Joe Biden’s ability to best former President Donald Trump in November — and after Saturday’s assassination attempt on Trump, he suggested the race was all but over.
During a stand-up show just hours after a gunman opened fire at the Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania — leaving two dead, including the shooter, and three more wounded, including the former president — Maher lamented the fact that every new development seemed to be tilting in Trump’s favor.

Maher began by saying he would not use such a horrific event as a punchline to attack Trump.
“I unequivocally denounce [the shooting], I don’t care what you think about that. Not funny. I’m sure that there will be jokes that people will make because they hate him so much that they wished it went the other way. Not for me,” he explained.
Maher went on to say that if photos were to decide the election, the image of Trump with his fist in the air — seconds after he was literally shot — would put an end to any contest.
“When I saw that photo today of him with the blood streaming down his face — I don’t want to say the election’s over but … Anything can happen in an election,” Maher said. “Jesus Christ &#8230; MAGA nation finally has its full martyr. They loved it when he went to jail. The mug shot. I gotta say, he’s insane and a criminal. But that mug shot? F***ing nailed it.”
”And he [reacted to the shooting] like he rehearsed it! [Got it on] take one! There will be idiot conspiracy theorists who will say, ‘Oh they planned it.’ He gets grazed and the other guy gets [killed] — that’s so Trump,” Maher continued, remarking that he believed Trump to be the luckiest man alive. “It’s going to work for him. On Friday&#8217;s episode of HBO&#8217;s &#8220;Real Time with Bill Maher,&#8221; Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro stumped CNN commentator and former state Rep. Bakari Sellers (D-SC) in a debate on &#8220;systematic racism.&#8221;
First, Sellers took the stance that &#8220;systemic racism&#8221; in 2024 has made life worse for black Americans than it was during the time of Jim Crow laws, citing black home ownership statistics. &#8220;I can make the case for that being the welfare state,&#8221; Shapiro interjected.
Sellers then quickly argued that &#8220;systems of injustice and oppression&#8221; in the U.S., citing &#8220;food deserts,&#8221; poor infrastructure, and the lack of &#8220;clean water&#8221; in black areas.
&#8220;Bakari,&#8221; Shapiro again interjected, &#8220;is your life as a black man worse or better than it would have been had you been born in 1920?&#8221;
The CNN commentator suggested they are worse, saying his father &#8220;feels like things in this country are at 1954.&#8221;
&#8220;If I were to say to you, as a Jew, that the experience of Jews in the United States today is worse than the experience of Jews in Europe in 1939, I would not be stating accurately — it is not true,&#8221; Shapiro responded. &#8220;And it&#8217;s also not true to say that the experience of black people in America in 2024 is worse, on a general level, than the experience of black men in 1954 in Alabama.&#8221;
Sellers stayed adamant in his position, moving on to talk about the high rate of African American female mortality in childbirth.
Shapiro told the former rep that &#8220;black people in the United States have a lower household income, median household income.&#8221;
“I would call bulls***, because it actually crosses [over] socioeconomic lines,&#8221; Sellers responded.
“Then white doctors are racist?” Shapiro answered, to which Sellers argued that &#8220;implicit bias in our healthcare delivery system&#8221; is to blame.
“[And it] would have nothing to do with the rates of, say, pregnant obesity by various communities?&#8221; Shapiro said. &#8220;There are many, many confounds when it comes to these particular issues. Daily Wire Emeritus and bestselling author Ben Shapiro swiped CNN commentator and former state Rep. Bakari Sellers (D-SC) during an appearance on HBO&#8217;s &#8220;Real Time with Bill Maher” on Friday. 
The back and forth started when Shapiro noted that Democrats are in the worst possible position after President Joe Biden&#8217;s news conference following a NATO summit on Thursday, since the president did just well enough to argue he shouldn&#8217;t be dumped by the party, while still being incoherent at times. The conservative quipped that Biden is &#8220;mostly dead, which is still slightly alive &#8212; which is exactly what you&#8217;re looking for if you&#8217;re a Republican.&#8221;
Astonishingly, Sellers, in response, went to bat for Biden and told Shapiro he has “no reason” to believe Biden wouldn’t finish out a second term. “Really?&#8221; Shapiro, with a smile on his face, said to Sellers. &#8220;No Reason? Zero Reason?”
Host Bill Maher even swooped in and told Sellers, &#8220;I&#8217;m surprised you&#8217;re carrying this kind of water [for Biden].&#8221;
The former state rep responded that Biden &#8220;is the nominee&#8221; and said the focus on Biden&#8217;s decline is a &#8220;failure of our foundation in media.&#8221; 
&#8220;The media covered it up for like two years,&#8221; Shapiro responded.

Shapiro also took on the Left&#8217;s latest narrative that no one knew about how bad the president&#8217;s mental decline was until his disastrous debate two weeks ago. He explained that folks on the Right have been talking about Biden&#8217;s deterioration for years, contrary to the Democrats and their allies in the media&#8217;s claims. 
&#8220;I want to know why it is that for two long years, anyone who pointed out that [Biden] was very unlikely to finish a second term was labeled as some sort of crazy kook,&#8221; Shapiro said. &#8220;Do you know how many leaks have come out in the last three weeks alone about the kind of insanity that has been going on at the White House?”
The conservative went on to detail recent leaks that seem to evidence a coverup of the issue by some in the White House.
&#8220;They haven&#8217;t had a <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/07/11/us-news/white-house-screened-cabinet-officials-questions-for-biden-during-rare-meetings-with-prez-report/#:~:text=Biden%20has%20not%20convened%20a,closed%2Ddoor%20get%2Dtogethers.">cabinet meeting</a> in nine months!&#8221; he said. &#8220;Why did it take until now for us to find that out? We know the foreign leaders in 2022 were going to meetings with him, and they were bewildered about what they were seeing. Why are we finding this out now?&#8221;

It only took three-plus years for late-night comedians to do their jobs – i.e. mock President Joe Biden.
Satirists looked the other way while the elderly leader racked up enough viral video gaffes to fuel a dozen YouTube channels.
Now, finally, late-night is addressing the elephant in the electoral room. Call it the ultimate heel pivot.
All it took was an unedited, 90-minute forum where Biden couldn’t fall back on notes, a teleprompter or a subservient reporter.
Biden is suffering from an undisclosed medical matter that’s left him quiet, frail and unable to complete his thoughts.
Or, as Bill Maher recently quipped, the president “famously loves trains but apparently not of thought.”
In Maher’s defense, he hasn’t been as overtly captured as his late-night peers. If Stephen Colbert, Seth Meyers, Jimmy Fallon and Jon Stewart aren’t reading DNC press releases to the letter, there’s a solid plagiarism case afoot.

“The Tonight Show’s” Jimmy Fallon is the least political animal of the lot, but even he has treated Biden’s obvious condition with a cheeky, “Nothing to see here, folks” attitude.
No more.
He still played up Biden’s age over comments about his mental failings in his first appearances since the June 27 debate. A typical Fallon barb? He said Democrats plan to ape a 2009 Pixar film.
“Tie a bunch of balloons to the White House and hope he flies away like the old guy from ‘Up.’”
A day later, he doubled down on the flailing leader when discussing President Donald Trump’s search for the best Vice-Presidential candidate.
“Trump needs someone who can help him win, so right now the front-runner is Joe Biden.”
Colbert, who pulled as many punches as a WWE wrestler during Biden’s White House days, let loose with a fury that must have caught his audience off guard.

“I don’t know what’s going on in Joe Biden’s mind, something I apparently have in common with Joe Biden.“
“Biden debated as well as Abe Lincoln … if you dug him up right now.”
The satirical kill shot? Colbert summoned Trump’s favorite nickname for the current Commander in Chief.
“I guess you could say he’s … Sleepy Joe,” he added, wincing for his audience’s consideration.
“Late Night with Seth Meyers” channeled more fury than anything else in its first original show since the debate. Meyers, nastier than his old “Saturday Night Live” persona, couldn’t deny what Biden’s debate performance revealed.

Nor could he make anything comical from those revelations, including plans to shrink Biden’s work day akin to a cranky toddler’s schedule.
“Your plan to calm fears about his age is an earlier bedtime? Are you hoping we’ll forget he’s 81 if you treat him like he’s 5½?”
The host wasn’t angry that the media covered up Biden’s frail state. Nor did he complain that Team Biden did the same so effectively. Instead, he raged against Biden’s interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos.
&#8220;This isn’t about how you feel. This is about how voters feel. If you truly believe that American democracy is at stake – and it is – then you have to act like it.”
Jon Stewart, the old/semi-regular “Daily Show” host, added his own sense of outrage to the Democrats’ plight.
“He’d been home for almost two weeks. He was jet-lagged? How big is that f***ing jet? The point is, for a campaign based on honesty and decency, the spin about the debate appears to be blatant bulls***. And the redemption tour hasn’t gotten that much better.”
He <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/tv/2024/07/11/jon-stewart-joe-biden-debate-trump/74365788007/">doubled down via his “Weekly Show” podcast</a>.
&#8220;Joe Biden has run on this idea of honesty and decency, but they have not been honest about the condition and the difficulties that he has been facing .. And so it undercuts one of the foundational arguments that they even have made.&#8221;
Freed from his Comedy Central perch, he dug further in, speaking for Americans who bought the media’s lies fed to them by Biden, Inc. 
&#8220;I have been stunned and disappointed and angered by what I saw, and how I&#8217;ve been talked to that I didn&#8217;t see what I saw.&#8221;

If Stewart had perused The Daily Wire over the past three years he’d have learned Biden’s decline is old news.
Let’s be clear about late-night’s sudden about face. The comic hosts want to defeat Trump in November. They realize a diminished Biden has little chance of retaining the White House.
Now, it’s time to usher the aging leader off the stage.
It’s why they, along with the press corps, suddenly started doing their jobs again after a three-year nap.
Not everyone has abdicated their duties as politically astute comics. Kyle Dunnigan of “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/show/mr-birchum" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mr. Birchum</a>” fame has been skewering President Biden for some time now. His withering sketches, alternately goofy and cutting, reveal a Biden that’s familiar to those who didn’t buy the media’s “cheap fake” narratives.
Joe Rogan’s Spotify podcast has roasted Biden’s mental decline, one of many reasons the show’s popularity remains sky high.
Even Dana Carvey, whose political impressions aren’t mean spirited, mocked Biden via his “Fly on the Wall” podcast.
It’s called “speaking truth to power,” a late-night host’s number-one duty. Sadly, once Democrats determine an election year plan, they’ll forget it all over again.

On Friday evening’s episode of “<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTOhA2K6kOg" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Real Time with Bill Maher</a>,” the liberal comedian <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/media/4747781-bill-maher-biden-debate-performance/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">doubled down</a> on his recent comments that President Joe Biden is going to lose to former President Donald Trump in November’s election.
“Wow, huh? Huh? Did you see the debate?” Maher asked his audience in his opening monologue. “In case you missed it, don’t worry, so did one of the contestants.”
“All night, confused and halting and trailing off. I’ve seen beauty pageant contestants answer questions better,” Maher added.
Despite saying he would still vote for Biden — even if he were simply a floating head in a jar — Maher reiterated his previously stated belief, now bolstered by the president’s disastrous debate performance, that Trump will defeat Biden in November.
“He is going to lose. I said it nine months ago, I said it tonight. … Now, it seems like it’s so apparent,” Maher said.
Maher isn’t the only one seeing the writing on the wall for Joe Biden. Following Thursday’s debate, numerous commentators in the legacy media were openly discussing the possibility that Biden might have to step down for a new Democratic nominee.
NBC News’ Kristen Welker <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/media-declares-biden-campaign-dead-after-debate-some-democrats-want-biden-to-step-down" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> Democratic lawmakers told her the race was “effectively over” while others went even further and started to “question what happens moving forward.”

Far-left podcast host Cenk Uygur <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/media-declares-biden-campaign-dead-after-debate-some-democrats-want-biden-to-step-down" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> that the race was over and that it was a bad idea for Biden to take on Trump. Biden “can’t even talk” or stand there “and look normal,” he exclaimed. “This thing&#8217;s a bloodbath. He’s going to get annihilated.”
In the face of the calls to step down, some prominent Democrats are pushing back. Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/house/4747966-nancy-pelosi-democrats-joe-biden-drop-out/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> she wasn’t calling for Biden to drop out. “I don’t know who’s doing that … I’m not doing it,” she stated.
Former President Barack Obama <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2024/06/29/obama-clinton-excuse-biden-trump-debate.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">posted</a> on X, “Bad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know. But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself.”
He added that “so much is at stake” in the November election.
