<p>Law enforcement officials in the state of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nevada" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nevada</a> thwarted an Islamic terrorist attack late last week involving a teenager who said he was targeting &#8220;zionists.&#8221;</p>
<p>The foiled attack comes amid a spike in anti-Semitic attacks across the U.S. and the rest of the world following Hamas&#8217; terrorist attack on Israel on October 7.</p>
<p>The 16-year-old said &#8220;he was planning an attack in Las Vegas in furtherance to support the Islamic State terrorist organization, also known as ISIS,&#8221; the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department <a href="https://www.lvmpd.com/en-us/Press%20Releases/PO%20205%2012-1-23.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>. &#8220;LVMPD SWAT served the warrant, and the suspect was taken into custody without incident.&#8221;</p>
<p>During the search of the suspect&#8217;s home, police recovered &#8220;numerous items of concern to include terrorism propaganda and indications that the suspect intended to commit an act of terrorism, including instructions and components for building an explosive device.&#8221;</p>
<p>The suspect, who was not named due to his age, was charged on multiple felony counts, including: Terroristic Threats; Attempt to Further an Act of Terrorism; Providing Material Support to a Terrorist, Terrorist Organization, and/or Act of Terrorism; and five counts of Possession of Explosive Components.</p>
<p>During a press conference, officials showed a screenshot of the threat that the suspect posted to social media: “Peace be upon all brothers who see this. I am here to announce that I will be starting lone wolf operations in Las Vegas against the enemies of Allah. I ask you to make Dua for victory. I am a supporter of the Islamic State, and I will make sure the zionists in this city know it.”</p>

<p>Police found an ISIS flag, ISIS patches, and an ISIS headband at the residence, as well as ISIS and Al-Qaeda propaganda. The suspect was described as a recent convert to Islam.</p>
