Singer Jessica Simpson is addressing fan concerns over a Pottery Barn ad where followers accused her of acting strangely.
The 42-year-old pop star responded with words and a song during her social media statement.
“As much as I have learned to block out destructive noise…peoples’ comments and judgments can still hurt deeply,” she shared along with the video of her in the studio. “The most important thing I have learned through the last 5yrs without alcohol being a guard for escapism, is that I CAN and ALWAYS WILL get through it.”

She continued, saying, “I feel compassion for the opinionated hate that some people can so effortlessly just blurt out with such intensity on social media or in the media in general. We all have our days of wanting to be, look, do, and feel better. Nobody is alone with that feelin’ that I can promise you.”
The “Irresistible” singer didn’t mince words with her lyrics choice, which included the line, “I don’t give a f*** about you.”
Her response came after fans questioned a recent Pottery Barn ad where the singer posted a video of her daughter Birdie’s bedroom. Fans said Simpson appeared “frail” and spoke “slowly” in the clip, leading them to question her health, as The Daily Wire previously reported.
“Respectfully…she looks frail,” one person replied in the comments.
“Please tell me I’m not the only one that hears her voice being totally slow…is she ok?!?!” another comment said.
“Something is wrong here,” a third person wrote, while another agreed, “something seems off…”
Simpson had shared openly about her 100-pound weight loss and her struggles with alcohol abuse in the past. In her memoir, “Open Book,” the mom of three recalled getting so drunk on Halloween in 2017 that she didn’t know who put her children’s Halloween costumes on them. She remembered that as being a wake-up call.
“It was 7:30 in the morning and I’d already had a drink,” Simpson wrote about that day. “I was terrified of letting [the kids] see me in that shape,” she admitted.
