Georgia U.S. Senate candidate Herschel Walker (R) responded to Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer’s (D) hot mic remark to President Joe Biden (D) this week by saying that his opponent, Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA), got played by Schumer.

Schumer was caught on a hot mic Thursday afternoon telling the president that the Democrats were in trouble ahead of next month’s midterm elections, especially in the state of Georgia.

“And now you see what happened to him just the other day on the open mic,” Walker said of Warnock. “Y’all saw Chuck Schumer and y’all saw the President Joe Biden talking about him behind his back.”

“And I told him, I said sir, ‘I told you they were gonna do you like this, all they wanted was your vote,’” Walker continued. “Because I’m gonna tell you something he didn’t told you yet, that was his rail system that he gave to Chuck Schumer. It was almost a billion dollars that he could have got for Marietta, but because he was longing to kiss up to Chuck Schumer, he gave to Chuck Schumer and now Chuck Schumer talking about [how] he was gonna lose now.”

“He knew he was gonna lose before, he should not even listen to Chuck Schumer and gave us that job,” Walker added. “But he didn’t give it to us, he gave to Chuck Schumer. Quit kissing up to those other people, senator. You need to get back to Georgia and do what is right for the Georgia people.”

Schumer was caught giving the hot mic remark while he was on the tarmac in Syracuse, New York, with Biden, who was in town to talk about a large investment Micron was making in microchip manufacturing.

“That seat, we’re in danger in that seat,” Schumer told Biden. “It’s close. We’ll see.”

It’s not clear what seat Schumer was talking about as press poll coverage did not show what was said just prior to Schumer’s remarks.

Schumer then addressed the recent disastrous debate performance from Lt. Governor John Fetterman (D) in Pennsylvania’s U.S. Senate race against Republican nominee Dr. Mehmet Oz.

“We’ll we’re, you know, it looks like, it looks like the debate didn’t hurt us too much in Pennsylvania as of today,” Schumer said. “So that’s good.”

Schumer then shifted his focus to the U.S. Senate race in Georgia between Sen. Raphael Warnock (D) and Republican nominee Herschel Walker (R).

“And we’re basically, we’re, I think we’re going to [inaudible],” Schumer continued. “The state where we are seeing, the state we are going downhill is Georgia. It’s hard to believe that they will go for Herschel Walker.”
