Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott said during an interview Friday that if the Biden administration was unwilling to come to the U.S.-Mexico border to see the crisis that has erupted under Democrat President Joe Biden’s leadership, he will bring the border crisis to their front door.
Abbott told Fox News that the state of Texas was shipping illegal immigrants to Democrat-controlled areas to “relieve the burden that our local communities are facing along the border.”
“We have small communities of about 25,000 people who have thousands of illegal immigrants dumped into their community,” he said. “And so, they were begging for relief. And that’s exactly why we began this busing operation to Washington, D.C.”
“Plus, we have a president who has refused to go see the chaos that he’s created on the border, and a border czar, Kamala Harris, who’s refused to see what’s going on on the border,” he continued. “And so, if they will not go to the border, we’re taking the border to them so they can see the challenges they’re opposing to the entire United States of America. One last fact that’s very important, and that is this year, more than two million people will cross the border illegally. They need to deal with those consequences, as well as the result of what the United Nations said, and that is the U.S.-Mexico border is the deadliest land crossing in the world.”

Abbott later said that Republican governors will “expand” their operations of shipping illegal immigrants to Democrat-controlled areas by increasing the volume of illegal immigrants that they send to the cities where they are currently being sent.
When asked by host Bill Hemmer whether he had “a plan to stop this process at the moment,” Abbott responded, “Yeah, we do have a plan to stop this process.”
“And the plan begins with the Biden administration finally securing the border,” Abbott said. “Remember this? It was just two years ago we had the fewest border crossings in decades because the Trump administration was enforcing the immigration laws.”
“All Biden has to do is replicate what Trump did, and that would lead to a reduction in border crossings, and that would lead to the elimination of us busing people to regions across the country,” Abbott added.
