Supermodel Gisele Bündchen recently opened up about her husband Tom Brady coming out of retirement and returning to the NFL.

Rumors are swirling that their marriage is in trouble because Bündchen wants Brady to spend more time at home with his three kids. She was allegedly a major reason the star quarterback retired in the first place, and insiders claim she’s furious he’s back on the field playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2022-2023 season.

The 42-year-old model revealed her true feelings during a recent interview with Elle, saying she wanted her husband at home more while simultaneously understanding it’s his decision to make.

“Obviously, I have my concerns—this is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present,” she said. “I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy, too.”

Bündchen went on to discuss some of her future goals for herself as well.

“I’ve done my part, which is [to] be there for [Tom],” the former Victoria’s Secret Angel told Elle. “I moved to Boston, and I focused on creating a cocoon and a loving environment for my children to grow up in and to be there supporting him and his dreams. Seeing my children succeed and become the beautiful little humans that they are, seeing him succeed, and being fulfilled in his career—it makes me happy.”

“At this point in my life, I feel like I’ve done a good job on that,” she continued. “I have a huge list of things that I have to do, that I want to do,” she says. “At 42, I feel more connected with my purpose.”

Brady has been impressive on the field as football season begins, causing some fans to speculate if he’ll want to retire after this year or keep playing. He seems to have something to prove after coming out of retirement to take care of “unfinished business.”

In March, Brady shared on Instagram, “These past two months I have realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. Without them, none of this is possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. We have unfinished business.”
