Former NFL quarterback Tom Brady joked Tuesday that Egypt&#8217;s stunning World Cup collapse against Argentina may have surpassed the infamous &#8220;28-3&#8221; comeback from Super Bowl LI.

Brady took to social media minutes after Argentina rallied from a 2-0 deficit late in the second half to defeat Egypt 3-2 and advance to the World Cup quarterfinals. 
&#8220;Yeah so that might top 28-3,&#8221; Brady joked.
Brady’s reference to &#8220;28-3&#8221; is a nod to the Patriots&#8217; comeback from a 25-point second-half deficit against the Falcons, the largest comeback in Super Bowl history and Brady&#8217;s fifth Super Bowl win. 
Argentina entered the match as the favorite, but Egypt struck first just 15 minutes in, with Yasser Ibrahim scoring. The Egyptians carried a 1-0 lead into halftime before appearing to put the match away when Mostafa Zico scored after an earlier goal had been disallowed. 
On the brink of elimination, Argentina scored three times between the 79th minute and stoppage time. Cristian Romero began the comeback before Lionel Messi tied the match and Enzo Fernández scored the game-winner in the second minute of added time. 
The Egyptian collapse immediately drew comparisons to some of the biggest blown leads in sports history, including the Atlanta Falcons&#8217; infamous loss to Brady and the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LI. 
Brady&#8217;s post suggests Egypt&#8217;s collapse could rank alongside, or even surpass, the Falcons&#8217; meltdown as one of sports&#8217; greatest blown leads.  
The score &#8220;28-3&#8221; has become shorthand for spectacular collapses in sports and is often cited whenever a team &#8220;chokes&#8221; and squanders a seemingly insurmountable lead. Coincidentally, the match between Egypt and Argentina took place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, home of the Falcons.

The retired Tampa Bay Buccaneers star’s final game in the league ended up being when the Buccaneers faced off against the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC Wild Card Game in January 2023 and lost.

Retired NFL star <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/tom-brady">Tom Brady</a> said, in hindsight, he will never do a roast again because of the way some of the jokes on Netflix’s &#8220;The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady&#8221; affected his kids.

During the 43-year-old reality star’s appearance at “The Greatest Roast Of All Time: Tom Brady,” <a href="https://x.com/barstoolsports/status/1787288243957887110">Kardashian</a> was initially greeted with applause — but that was quickly drowned out by loud boos.
“Thank you,” Kardashian replied to the applause then attempted to roast Brady but once the boos got so loud and drowned her out, she only laughed and said, “All right, all right, all right.”
One of the comedian’s attending the event, Kevin Hart, could be overheard off camera reacting to the boos and said, “Whoa, whoa.”

Once the boos died down thanks to Hart, the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star was finally able to start her jokes, the <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/kim-kardashian-booed-tom-brady-roast-1235890710/">Hollywood Reporter</a> reported.
“I know there were some rumors that we were [dating], and I’d never say if we did or not,” Kardashian joked about Brady. “I’d just release a tape.”
“But I do know it would never work out,” she added, noting Brady’s “high cheekbones” and “silky hair. You remind me too much of my stepdad [Caitlyn Jenner] now.”
“Honestly, it’s hard for me to watch people roast you. But I think enough of my family members have helped defend former football players,”  Kardashian continued referencing her late-father Robert Kardashian, who was on O.J. Simpson’s murder trial defense team.
Comedian <a href="https://x.com/_MLFootball/status/1787451691207377031">Tony Hinchcliffe</a> gave a jab at Kardashian during his time at the roast of Brady.
“She’s [Kardashian] had a lot of Black men celebrating her end-zone,” Hinchcliffe said. “Kim, word of advice, close your legs. You have more public beef than Kendrick [Lamar] and Drake.”
When it was the retired Super Bowl-winning QB’s turn, he also took a turn jabbing at Kim with a reference to the reality star’s ex-husband and father to their four kids, rapper Kanye West

Forty-six-year-old NFL quarterback <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/tom-brady">Tom Brady</a> beat the time he previously set on a 40-yard dash as a 22-year-old at the 2000 NFL Combine.
Brady <a href="https://twitter.com/TomBrady/status/1763208898331254830?s=20">said</a> in a clip posted to social media that he wanted to see if he could &#8220;level-up&#8221; from when he ran the dash in 5.28 seconds in 2000.
The clip starts out showing Brady on one end of a field with two other people at the other holding stopwatches.
The former NFL QB then re-runs the 40 and it turned out he&#8217;s faster now. One person said he ran it in 5.18 seconds, the other said it was more like 5.12 seconds.
The <a href="https://x.com/NFL/status/1763208114092880164?s=20">NFL</a> decided to put together a video showing the older and younger Brady running side by side with his new time. At first, the young NFL hopeful is faster in the video, but in a short amount of time the older NFL star pulls ahead and never loses ground.

At the end of Brady&#8217;s video, his business partner Mike Repole joked that if he had been that fast 24 years ago the QB might&#8217;ve gotten &#8220;drafted in the third round&#8221; instead of being picked by the New England Patriots in the 199th spot overall that year, <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2024/02/29/tom-brady-runs-faster-40-yard-dash-at-46-years-old-than-at-22-5-12-seconds/">TMZ</a> noted.
Despite not being picked first, Brady&#8217;s NFL career is one for the history books after taking the Patriots to six Super Bowl wins. He then joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March 2020 and that season took the team to a Super Bowl victory against the Kansas City Chiefs, <a href="https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/tom-brady-beats-his-40-yard-dash-time-from-2000-nfl-combine-at-age-46/">CBS Sports</a> reported.
Brady owns three NFL MVP awards on top of his Super Bowl rings and will be inducted into the NFL Football Hall of Fame in 2028.

In February 2023, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/sports-world-reacts-to-news-of-tom-bradys-retirement">Brady</a> announced his retirement in a now-viral video on Instagram. Days later, he officially filed his <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2023/03/07/tom-brady-addresses-unretiring-rumors-cat-dad-nfl-comeback/">retirement papers</a>.
In the social media post, he first thanked fans and everyone who helped him along the way, before he explained that he was retiring for good from the NFL after 23 seasons in the league following numerous trips to the Super Bowl and 15 Pro Bowl appearances.
&#8220;I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I&#8217;d just press record and let you guys know first,&#8221; Brady said, noting his previous retirement announcement on February 1, 2022, before changing his mind.

&#8220;You are where you come from,&#8221; the 43-year-old Brazilian-born model <a href="https://www.harpersbazaar.com/fashion/models/a46420408/gisele-bundchen-interview-2024-1705488127/">told</a> Harper&#8217;s Bazaar during a newly published cover story interview. “All those things that I learned as a kid are things that are in me. It doesn’t change. In many ways, it’s also what kept me safe, because my value system was so strong.”
&#8220;Today, being in the place where I am in my life and having access to all the different things I’ve had access to, I feel like the simple things are best because I keep trying to go back to those things,” <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">Bündchen </a>added. “At the end of the day, those are the things that make me the happiest.”
The top-earning model went on to specifically discuss how she and Brady are handling co-parenting and some challenges that have come up.
&#8220;The way you make your room, the way you organize and make your bed is the way you’re going to do your life. If you’re not learning here and now, then when and with who?” she said of instructing the couple’s children. Bündchen and Brady have two biological children, plus the model is a stepmom to Brady’s son from a previous relationship.
She continued, &#8220;Sometimes, I get pushback, especially because now they’re in two different homes and there are two different ways. But I feel like I owe it to my kids, because of what my mom taught me.&#8221;

Bündchen also told the outlet how she tends to ignore any criticism from the public. &#8220;I can’t really worry about what other people say about me because what they say about me is none of my business. It’s really their business that they’re trying to project onto me,&#8221; she said. &#8220;If I’m going to be affected by that, I’m never going to live my truth.&#8221;
Brady and Bündchen married in 2009 and divorced after 13 years of marriage in 2022. The former Patriots quarterback <a href="https://www.etonline.com/tom-brady-on-co-parenting-with-gisele-bundchen-weve-done-an-amazing-job-exclusive-205687">said</a> in June that he and his ex were doing “an amazing job” of splitting parenting duties in the wake of their divorce.

Bill Belichick is out as head coach of the New England Patriots after 24 years and leading the team to nine Super Bowl trips and six rings.
The veteran coach took to the podium on Thursday and told members of the <a href="https://x.com/Patriots/status/1745490547303686547?s=20">press</a> he would be a Patriot forever as he thanked the fans and the organization, <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39285303/bill-belichick-leaving-patriots-24-seasons-sources-say">ESPN</a> reported.
&#8220;[Patriots owner] Robert [Kraft] and I, after a series of discussions, have mutually agreed to part ways,&#8221; Belichick said. &#8220;For me, this is a day of gratitude and celebration.&#8221;
&#8220;We had a vision of building a championship football team that has exceeded my wildest dreams and expectations,&#8221; he added. &#8220;I&#8217;m very proud of that. I&#8217;ll always have those great memories, I&#8217;ll carry those with me the rest of my life.&#8221;

Speculation that Belichick&#8217;s reign in New England would end has been trickling out all week as reports surfaced that the coach and Kraft had met several times throughout the week.
Belichick leaves the team after a dismal season as New England finished with a 4-13 record. Since the Super Bowl-winning QB <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/tom-brady-posts-cryptic-quote-about-betrayal-after-gisele-bundchen-breaks-silence-on-their-divorce" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Tom Brady</a> left the Patriots after the 2019 season, the Patriots have had a losing record three of the last four years, ESPN noted.

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/giselle-bundchen">Gisele Bündchen</a> discussed some elements of her life after <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/divorce">divorcing</a> NFL star <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/tom-brady">Tom Brady</a> last year, including focusing on “self-care” and raising the couple’s children following their split.
“It’s been very tough on my family. It’s been a lot — in every area of my life,” the 43-year-old model told <a href="https://people.com/gisele-bundchen-opens-up-in-revealing-sitdown-with-people-exclusive-interview-7971216">People</a> magazine during a recent in-depth interview. “I feel like whenever it rains, it pours. With all the different twists and turns that life takes, all we can do is the best we can given what happens in our surroundings.”
Bündchen and Brady were married for 13 years and are the parents of son Benjamin, 13, and daughter Vivian, 10. Brady also shares a 16-year-old son named Jack with his ex, Bridget Moynahan.
The supermodel said she spent a lot of time meditating and exercising to get through her divorce. “I think if I didn’t have all the different tools that I have to support me during these times, it would’ve been very hard,” Bündchen said.
The celeb added that she cut alcohol out of her diet. “Right after I turned 40, actually, I felt a huge difference between when I had the glass of wine and when I didn’t have the glass of wine,” she told the outlet.
“It’s socially accepted to have a glass of wine. And people even say, ‘Oh, it’s healthy for you.’ Well, it is not healthy for me,” Bündchen went on. “If you want to ask of your body what I ask of my body, which is a lot, I can’t be having all these things (alcohol, caffeine) because they add up.”
The busy mom said she’s felt “clear,” “sharp” and “present” since giving up alcohol and is “sleeping much better.”
Bündchen also insisted that mothers shouldn’t think of “self-care” as “selfish.”

“When you feel good, you&#8217;re a better mom, you&#8217;re a better friend, you&#8217;re calmer, you&#8217;re more patient, you&#8217;re more loving, you&#8217;re more grounded. So you can&#8217;t feel guilty about prioritizing yourself. Because that&#8217;s loving you and loving the people you love the most, which are going to be impacted by how well you are. Because if you&#8217;re sick, everyone&#8217;s hurts.&#8221;
Finally, the model addressed her measure for living a successful life.
“I think, for me, success means that I have raised children who have right values. You know what I mean? Because then, whenever I&#8217;m ready to leave, I know I have left something behind that is beautiful and that is an asset versus something different,” Bündchen said. 
“It makes me proud to see how they&#8217;re all becoming their own little individual selves, but how their principles and their values are so strong. It makes me so happy to see that, they&#8217;re flourishing into their own beings.”
