Fans are furious with YouTuber Logan Paul after it was discovered that his former pet pig, Pearl, was reportedly found sick, “mangled,” and abandoned in a field.
The situation came to light after a California-based animal sanctuary, The Gentle Barn, shared a video on TikTok detailing the animal’s rescue.
“Pearl was found alone in a field next to another pig who had passed away,” the video caption says. “She came to us with tattered ears and a potentially life-threatening infection in her uterus that has since been healed. She’s clearly been through so much trauma that we can’t begin to imagine, but she’s now safe with us at The Gentle Barn.”
The organization also notes that Pearl had been purchased by an “influencer” and was “irresponsibly rehomed” at some point.
“People often buy ‘mini pigs’ or ‘teacup pigs’ for clout online, believing they will stay small. When they inevitably grow very large and have many unexpected needs, they’re sadly discarded,” the video description says
The video text also says Pearl was owned by a “YouTuber” and she’s “lucky to be alive.”
“All we know for sure is she ended up abandoned and scared with mangled ears and a broken heart,” the video says.

The comments are filled with outrage for Paul and his alleged role in Pearl’s abandonment. “You have some explaining to do,” one fan wrote, tagging the YouTuber.
“We see what you did [Logan Paul],” another commenter wrote.
Paul allegedly responded to the video by sending an email to The Gentle Barn thanking them for rescuing Pearl.
“Pearl lived very happily at my home in Encino for about two years,” he wrote in the email shared with TMZ. “When I moved to Puerto Rico in April of 2020, she was unable to come with me, so she was rehomed at a horse ranch in Santa Clarita.”
He expressed “gratitude” toward the sanctuary for rescuing the pig and said it was “shocking and heartbreaking” to witness the state she was in. Paul also offered to “contribute to her care” again now that she’s living at The Gentle Barn.
