The &#8220;swamp will be drained&#8221; if former President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump</a> is re-elected to the White House for a second term, billionaire tech executive <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/elon-musk" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Elon Musk</a> insisted on Sunday.
Musk responded to a post on X from journalist John Stossel critiquing how well the former president lived up to his pledge as a candidate in the 2016 election to cut government bureaucracy.
&#8220;Trump admits he failed to drain the Washington swamp. But, he insists, if you elect him this time, he’ll get it done. I doubt it. Government only grows,&#8221; Stossel <a href="https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1840409413976273033?s=46&amp;t=o-U3qwC25WnWaylJ0oeG7Q" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>, along with a video.

Since that time, Musk <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-musk-x-interview-what-to-know-if-you-missed-it" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> Trump he “would be happy to help” with a prospective Government Efficiency Commission to cut wasteful spending, an idea which Trump said he would <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-says-hed-love-to-have-elon-musk-lead-new-proposed-government-commission" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> &#8220;love&#8221;</a> to happen.
Also on Sunday, in response to a post on X warning that millions of migrants are eligible for naturalization under the current rules, Musk argued in favor of a Trump return to the White House.

America then becomes a one-party state and Democracy is over. The only &#8220;elections&#8221; will be the Democratic Party primaries. This already happened in California many years ago, following the 1986 amnesty.
