Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who has an extensive history of anti-Semitism and showing sympathies toward terrorists, ran on Friday when she was confronted by a reporter about the recent terrorist attacks in Israel.
The question came after Omar promoted terrorist propaganda this last week that falsely claimed Israel bombed a hospital, killing 500 people.
Hours later, the truth came out: A rocket fired by Palestinian terrorists exploded in the hospital parking lot and far fewer people were killed than what the Palestinians originally claimed.
Fox News correspondent Hillary Vaughn confronted Omar on Capitol Hill Friday afternoon, asking: “Congresswoman, you have called for a ceasefire. Are you okay with Hamas terrorists continuing to exist?”
Omar would not answer.
“Do you think that Israel should just lay down their arms and not try to get the hostages out of Gaza?” Vaughn pressed.
Omar had no response.
“How can Israel have a ceasefire with terrorists whose entire mission is to wipe out their existence?” Vaughn asked.
Once again, Omar was silent.

“How can they have a ceasefire if they’re trying to wipe out–” Vaughn asked as Omar ran into an elevator.
“Ignore this crazy lady, don’t worry about her,” Omar said to a staffer.

After facing intense backlash this week for promoting Hamas’ false claims, Omar sought to make it appear as though she was walking back her statement by suggesting that she may not have even written the post on her personal account and seeking to blame the publication that wrote the report she promoted.
“Our office cited an AP report yesterday that the IDF had hit a Baptist hospital in Gaza,” she wrote. “Since then, the IDF denied responsibility and the US intelligence assessment is that this was not done by Israel.”
“It is a reminder that information is often unreliable and disputed in the fog of war (especially on Twitter where misinformation is rampant),” she continued. “We all have a responsibility to ensure information we are sharing is from credible sources and to acknowledge as new reports come in.”
She did not retract her claims, delete them, or offer an apology, instead she said that there needed to be a “fully independent investigation to determine conclusively who is responsible for this war crime.”
