Chris Pratt encouraged couples who have found their “great partner” to “rush” and start a family, acknowledging that his message contradicts the advice many young people are given about not being in a hurry to have children.

During the 43-year-old actor’s interview with Men’s Journal, the Marvel star talked about fatherhood’s “incredible” joys and being a dad to his three kids.

“People say all the time, ‘Don’t rush to have kids,'” Pratt said. “I personally disagree. Rush. Have them. Of course, make sure you find a great partner but don’t wait.”

“I was talking to Adam Sandler a while back and he said, ‘Every day you wait is a day they don’t get to have you in their life,'” he added.

“The younger you have kids, the more time they get to have with you,” the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star continued. “It’s wild. Having kids is incredible. The things you normally take for granted in life are new.”

Pratt was previously married to actress Anna Farris, and the two welcomed a son into the world in 2012. In 2018, the couple got divorced after nearly ten years of marriage.

In 2019, Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger got engaged, and the couple share two little girls.

Earlier this year, the “Jurassic World” star talked about feeling “really broken” before he met Katherine and told others who might be going through a rough time to keep the faith.

“I met Katherine — now it’s been five, six years ago,” the Marvel star said. “God has a fast-forward button, you know. When it’s right — boom — you’re hit. You fall in love, you get married.”

“There was a moment in my life that I was really struggling and felt really broken,” he added.

“For me, [it was] my own journey finding a higher power and leaning on that and feeling like, ‘Please save me,’ and feeling saved,” Pratt continued. “And then shortly later, [I met] the woman of my dreams.”
