Israel&#8217;s main biological research lab has reportedly made a &#8220;significant breakthrough&#8221; in the fight against the coronavirus as it has isolated a key antibody that will go toward potential treatments for the virus.
Defense Minister Naftali Bennett visited the Israel Institute for Biological Research (IIBR) labs where he was reportedly shown an “antibody which attacks the virus in a monoclonal way and can neutralize it within the bodies of those ill,” according to a <a href="https://www.timesofisrael.com/defense-minister-claims-israels-biological-institute-developed-virus-vaccine/">statement</a> from his office.
“I am proud of the Biological Institute staff, who have made a major breakthrough,” Bennett <a href="https://www.jpost.com/health-science/iibr-completes-development-phase-of-covid-19-vaccine-626913">said</a>. “The Jewish creativity and ingenuity brought about this amazing achievement.”
IIBR Director Shmuel Shapira reportedly indicated that the antibody formula was being patented so that it could quickly move to mass production.
&#8220;Antibodies in such samples &#8211; immune-system proteins that are residues of successfully overcoming the coronavirus &#8211; are widely seen as a key to developing a possible cure,&#8221; Reuters <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/reuters/2020/05/04/world/middleeast/04reuters-health-coronavirus-israel-treatment.html">reported</a>. &#8220;The antibody reported as having been isolated at the IIBR is monoclonal, meaning it was derived from a single recovered cell and is thus potentially of more potent value in yielding a treatment.&#8221;

U.S. officials believe that the coronavirus, which originated in Wuhan, China, accidentally leaked out a lab in Wuhan and that an infected individual then <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-fox-news-reports-u-s-officials-have-high-confidence-coronavirus-came-from-lab">visited</a> a wet market in Wuhan where the coronavirus began to rapidly spread.
“COVID-19 originated in a Wuhan laboratory not as a bioweapon, but as part of China’s effort to demonstrate that its efforts to identify and combat viruses are equal to or greater than the capabilities of the United States, multiple sources who have been briefed on the details of early actions by China’s government and seen relevant materials tell Fox News,” Fox News <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-china-blamed-wet-market-to-deflect-blame-from-lab-destroyed-evidence-fox-news-reports">reported</a>. “The sources believe the initial transmission of the virus was bat-to-human, and that ‘patient zero’ worked at the laboratory, then went into the population in Wuhan.”
“Documents detail early efforts by doctors at the lab and early efforts at containment. The Wuhan wet market initially identified as a possible point of origin never sold bats, and the sources tell Fox News that blaming the wet market was an effort by China to deflect blame from the laboratory, along with the country’s propaganda efforts targeting the U.S. and Italy,” Fox News continued. “China ‘100 percent’ suppressed data and changed data, the sources tell Fox News. Samples were destroyed, contaminated areas scrubbed, some early reports erased, and academic articles stifled.”
Fox News Chief White House Correspondent John Roberts reported on Saturday that a senior intelligence official told him that “most” of America’s 17 intelligence agencies believe that the coronavirus originated in a lab in Wuhan, China.

A new Department of Homeland Security (DHS) <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/u-s-intel-report-suggests-china-intentionally-concealed-the-severity-of-pandemic-to-hoard-supplies">report</a> that was leaked to The Associated Press over the weekend indicated that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) lied to the world about the extent of the outbreak and how deadly and contagious the coronavirus was in order to buy themselves to hoard medical equipment from around the world.
“The analysis states that, while downplaying the severity of the coronavirus, China increased imports and decreased exports of medical supplies,” The Associated Press reported. “It attempted to cover up doing so by ‘denying there were export restrictions and obfuscating and delaying provision of its trade data,’ the analysis states.”
The AP added, “The report also says China held off informing the World Health Organization that the coronavirus ‘was a contagion’ for much of January so it could order medical supplies from abroad — and that its imports of face masks and surgical gowns and gloves increased sharply.”
