Host Dave Rubin was suspended from Twitter on Tuesday morning for a tweet announcing bestselling author and clinical psychologist Jordan Peterson had been suspended for tweeting about Ellen Page, an actress who now identifies as a man named Elliot.
“The insanity continues at Twitter. [Jordan Peterson] has been suspended for this tweet about Ellen Page,” Rubin tweeted Wednesday, captioning a screenshot of Peterson’s post. “He just told me he will ‘never’ delete the tweet.”
The Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro reported on Rubin’s ban Tuesday morning. “[Dave Rubin] has now been suspended for posting news about [Jordan Peterson]‘s suspension, all because we are not allowed to mention that until five minutes ago, Elliott Page, who is very very very male, was a female actress named Ellen Page,” Shapiro mocked.
“I have been suspended by Twitter for posting a screenshot of Jordan Peterson’s tweet, which got he himself suspended,” Rubin said in a statement reported by Shapiro.
“While it is unclear how I broke their terms of service, it is clear that they are breaking their fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders by letting a bunch of Woke activists run the company,” the “Rubin Report” host continued.
“I hope Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter goes through so he can blow up their servers and humanity can move past the pervasive, twisted, self-imposed mental institution,” he said. Billionaire Elon Musk’s bid for Twitter has been accepted by the platform’s board.
“In the meantime, you can find me at rubinreport.locals.com, the platform I created to fight big tech censorship … something we need now more than ever,” the host added.

Peterson was suspended from Twitter over a tweet he posted on June 22 about Page. “Remember when pride was a sin? And Ellen Page just had her breasts removed by a criminal physician,” he wrote.
Peterson, who just signed with DailyWire+, said the suspension was actually a ban since Twitter makes his return to the platform contingent on him deleting the post — which the author emphasized would “never” happen.
“I have essentially been banned from Twitter as a consequence,” Peterson explained. “I say banned, although technically I have been suspended. But the suspension will not be lifted unless I delete the ‘hateful’ tweet in question, and I would rather die than do that.”
