<p>President<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/joe-biden"> Joe Biden</a> (D) said during an interview on Sunday that the pandemic was &#8220;over,&#8221; despite numbers from the CDC showing hundreds of Americans dying every day from COVID-19.</p>
<p>Biden made the remarks during an interview on CBS News’ “60 Minutes” with leftist host Scott Pelley.</p>
<p>Biden&#8217;s remarks come after more Americans have died of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/covid-19">COVID-19</a> under his watch than died from the coronavirus under former President Donald Trump.</p>
<p>&#8220;Mr. President, first Detroit Auto Show in three years. Is the pandemic over?&#8221; Pelley asked while the two attended the auto show.</p>
<p>&#8220;The pandemic is over,&#8221; Biden claimed. &#8220;We still have a problem with COVID. We&#8217;re still doing a lotta work on it. It&#8217;s&#8211; but the pandemic is over. if you notice, no one&#8217;s wearing masks. Everybody seems to be in pretty good shape. And so I think it&#8217;s changing. And I think this is a perfect example of it.&#8221;</p>
<p><a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2022/09/18/joe-biden-pandemic-60-minutes-00057423">Politico</a> reported that Biden&#8217;s remarks were not part of his &#8220;planned remarks,&#8221; and that his remarks &#8220;caught several of his own health officials by surprise.&#8221;</p>
<p>“The impact on the psyche of the American people as a consequence of the pandemic is profound,” he said. “Think of how that has changed everything. You know, people’s attitudes about themselves, their families, about the state of the nation, about the state of their communities. And so there’s a lot of uncertainty out there, a great deal of uncertainty. And we lost a million people.”</p>
